Malanage Hot Spring is a serene and comfortable nature retreat, also known as "Hot Stream". The combination of fresh water and hot spring creates the perfect environment for relaxation. Visitors can park at the restaurant opposite to the entrance, pay an entrance fee of 10,00 Rp, and change into their swimsuits in basic rooms provided for tourists. Located in Manulalu jungle village, it offers giant hot bathtubs where two rivers meet; one being extremely warm and the other cold.
Wonderful hot spring where a hot and cold water river meet. The road to the parking area is very steep - so I parked at a warung on the main road. 25k entry. It’s not possible to swim, but possible to sit and submerge yourself in the water. I slept like a baby after. The trash management is great here and the place was clean. I was the only visitor there.

Super cool comfort in nature. I think it's better call it hot stream :) cos it is. It's perfect mix fresh water with hot spring. We spent 1hr30min relaxing in the water. So you can guess how nice it is. I love it <3 You parking at the restaurant opposite side of entrance. And please pay attention a bit to see the sign. You pay 10,00 Rp for entrance fee. Then you can change your swimming suit in the room which they arrange basicly gor tourists.

Very few people here. You can enjoy a mix of cold and hot water naturally where two rivers of different temperatures meet. We stayed for hours in here. If you come from the north of the hot springs, consider taking the longest road, which has a shape of a V and going a little bit more to the south, and not the slightly shorter one on the north since it's in terrible conditions.

A special place, where two rivers meet. One is untouchably hot and the other is very cold. You will have to find a perfect place for you in terms of temperature. The place has toilets, a changing room, seating outside the water and the possibility of a simple meal. Access to the parking lot of the place is steep and muddy, it is much more convenient to park at the Home Stay opposite, the parking for motorcycles 3K thousand, for cars 5K. Entrance fee 20K

Natural springs with a hot and cold current from two rivers coming together. There isn’t a specific pool for hot or cold it’s combined into one so you can be on one side of the river hot and the other side cold which was refreshing. Changing rooms provided and toilet. Motorbike parking 3k and 20k per person for entry. We came early afternoon and had the place to ourselves for over an hour.

Nice natural hot spring, both a hot and a cold stream, very interesting! Basic facilities, but at a very reasonable price! Local people were super friendly and welcoming.

Cool hot springs. Nice to have part that is super cold and part that is super hot and finding that sweet spot! IDR 20,000 to get in, but there are toilets, changing rooms and it's pretty clean. I bought a beer from the just on the main road (walking distance) and enjoyed it in the water. Wasn't very busy or touristy when we went.

The hot spring is very easy to be missed so watch out and ask the people! It is nice to feel the very warm water mingle with the cold but it’s ultimately not a must see. If you have the time go the if you don’t, skip it!

Bena Traditional Village, located near the 17 Island National Park in Riung, boasts a rich cultural and historical significance. The village's small traditional houses represent the various ethnic groups that reside there, with each group having two houses reflecting their gender. Constructing these houses is an arduous process that involves rituals and the sacrifice of water buffalo. Visitors to Bena can admire the stunning mountain views from the village while learning about its unique culture from friendly locals who are happy to answer any questions.
Lovely place with lovely people. I got morning coffee at Bena village, host by the madam and the spoilt cat. Bought some handmade accessories and got the chance how to do handwoven. Not easy as it seems. Mingle the Bena people around and you get the wonderful history of them. I really enjoyed my time there and didn't realize that the time went by, I spent whole morning till the middle of the day at Bena. Highly recommended if you visit Bajawa city to not miss this heritage village. Thank you for an awesome time! Entry ticket - 20k Rent the traditional clothes - 100k

I saw village and mountains from above. Very hostoric place just like those disney film picturized the villagers kind a movie. Mountains, traditional houses, villages, peoples, and of course the local traditional way and culture. Though you might not see any traditional dance here like bali, you can enjoy the scene of a flintstone era. Haha

We made a trip around Flores, here is Bajawa where is 138km away from Ruteng and Bena traditional village is the first place I visit here. It is located directly at the foot of a volcano and possible to see Inerie volcano from here. The roof of houses at Bena displays a unique traditional vernacular architecture native to Indonesia. This village is at the heart of the ethnic civilization, Ngadha. It is an alternative option to a different world, where you still can see hundreds of Stone Age preserved and culturally maintained by local people. you will see stone monuments, an ancestor worship sanctuary, and culturally preserved megalithic culture in a remote area that has been well maintained for more than 1200 years. From here it is possible to see Irene volcano. We visited here first and after that drove to view point to see sunset on top of volcano. It’s a bit far and the road is not good, also no light street, a bit difficult to go but worth to make it.

We went to Bena Traditional Village from Riung around the 17 Island National Park. It's a beautiful village with it's amazing culture, history, nature, and people. Everyone was so humble and welcome. The view was amazing and you can see the mountain from the village. You can ask the local some questions and they will answer you nicely. There's always meaning on the small traditional houses in the middle of the village. It symbolizes how many ethnics are there. One ethnic will have two small houses which is one woman and one woman and also there's different between woman and man from the top of the roof. Further, to build those small houses needs ages because there's ritual for that and it takes a lot of water buffalo. That's the information that I get from the local.

Very beautiful and calm place. I feel enough when I saw every activity there. You just need 30 minutes to go there from Bajawa. For now, the ticket price is 20k. Bena people selling woven fabric, you can buy or just rent for photo. They also sell traditional bracelet and necklace. Ouh, but when I go there, no guide to explain Bena for us, poor me.

Village is well populated and still authentic. Almost every house sells handmade textile. The entrance fee is around 25k, small fee for parking.

Bena Village is a truly unique and special place that offers visitors a glimpse into traditional Indonesian culture and way of life. When I visited Bena Village, I was struck by the beauty and simplicity of the village. The traditional houses, with their thatched roofs and wooden walls, were perfectly suited to the natural surroundings. One thing that stood out to me during my visit was the warm and welcoming nature of the locals. They were eager to share their culture with visitors and answer any questions we had. We were able to participate in traditional activities like weaving and cooking, which gave us a deeper appreciation for the village's way of life. In terms of facilities, Bena Village is quite basic. There are no modern amenities like hotels or restaurants in the village itself, so visitors should be prepared to stay in nearby towns and make day trips to the village. However, there are several small shops and vendors in the village that sell traditional crafts and snacks. You can also rent the traditional woven fabric to use during the trip here. For the entrance fee domestic tourist have to pay 35k and 50k for the foreign tourist. The parking lot is also spacious with the fee around 10k for car and 5k for the motorbike

There is not much to do except take pictures and buy high priced souvenirs. In general, the village is beautiful and looks special. The road to the village is bad, parking for motorcycles 3K, entrance fee 25K. There is no guide or explanation.
Papuas Kanibal — Google review
We really enjoyed our time here in the traditional village. Although the locals cannot speak much English their big smiles and enthusiasm over their woven items made it special. The houses themselves are beautiful to look at. The tourism centre has information about the local tradition and the houses which helps if you haven’t got a guide.

Ticket price is only 20k rupiah, and I like that they lent us a tenoon scarf as a visitor ID. Honestly, not much to be done here. No certain activities or whatsoever other than walking and looking at traditional tenoon fabric. Each of the traditional houses sell tenoon fabric with reasonable prices, compared with the ones sold in the city or expo. I’d recommend you to get one.

Such a peaceful experience. The village settled on the slope of Mount Inerie with a cool climate and clean surroundings. Local villagers showing warm welcome and genuine hospitality, no push to buy their wonderful weaving or other souvenirs that provided in almost every house in the village. Their TIC also provided very well information about the village. Note: only the signal from Telkomsel provider is working here.

It is a tribal village. The tribe is very artistic and they make a lot of articles with bamboo and hand woven cloth. Their houses are unique with symbols on the rooftop. Even their textile has unique symbols and a signature to show that they are from Bena Traditional Village

Wolo Bobo Hill is located near Bajawa Town, a half-hour drive away, resulting from a volcanic eruption 10,000 years ago. The summit provides breathtaking vistas of Bajawa and is a favored spot to witness the sunrise or sunset. Unfortunately, bad weather hindered a visit on one occasion. It offers magnificent views with the mountain as an exquisite backdrop and can be easily reached within 25 minutes by scooter from Bajawa.
Wonderful view, enjoy the sunset from the top and mountain as a background😍 Also easy to access just take the scooter only 25 minute from Bajawa.

Nice place in Bajawa. Recommended for catching the amazing view of Mt Inerie and Bajawa Town. Riding motorbike or car from the town Turikisa or Bajawa taking about 30 minutes. The view along the road just like a surprices that we got every single step. Just enjoy it. And if u cant get the amazing view on the top because the weather and thw clouds (Bajawa mostly like that) it means u have to come another day or camp there. I wish i can do both.

Lucas Restaurant in Bajawa is a top choice for those seeking delicious local cuisine. The restaurant boasts a beautiful wooden dining room and a welcoming owner, creating an inviting atmosphere. Despite being slightly pricier than local warungs, the food is of excellent quality with generous portions. Diners rave about the sour fish soup, grilled chicken, and guacamole. The friendly staff and traditional desserts add to the overall charm of this authentic dining spot.
We took the guacamole and the grilled chicken it was delicious. The guacamole is generous, and the chicken is perfectly grilled, yummy ! The women are very nice and careful, and the restaurant is authentic and charming. I recommand strongly.

Had a tofu soup with rice, soup was kinda oversalted but bearable together with rice. Rice was undercooked though. And a day later I am having stomach issues, feeling tired, there must have been something wrong besides the undercooked rice.. It was also quite expensive compared to standard local Warung prices. Service was good, people really friendly and environment comfortable. Maybe an outlier, not sure, but my day has been a bit rough so I feel like sharing my experience here and can’t justify more than 2 stars.

5 stars because of cuisine, I was here two years ago, but cuisine still good. If you know Indonesia as well you can imagine how it's difficult! Prices still cheap, good choices of different dishes, traditional deserts. Personnel is good and friendly. Maybe people can realize this place because of exterior view, but it's not so important, just go and choose your favorite dish!

Really great food! We ate here both nights we were in Bajawa. Prices are a little higher than a local warung but still really affordable and the portions are huge and really good quality. We tried the fried chicken and fish with rice as well as fried rice, but the highlight is the sour fish soup! One of the best we've had! Huge chunks of fish and the most delicious broth, we literally drank it.

Dito's Restaurant is a cozy and small eatery located in the heart of Bajawa City. The bright lamps at night create an inviting atmosphere, making it a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. While the food variety is impressive, with some off-menu pork dishes available, be prepared for longer cooking times. However, given the leisurely pace of life in Bajawa, this isn't much of an issue.
Located in the center of Bajawa City, very small cozy place, with bright lamps at night (quite catchy). Many varieties of food, love the taste (they sell pork dishes that is not on the menu), but take long time to cook. It's ok since life in Bajawa is so slow & we have not much to do. Must try their local arak + honey + lemon, love it! Bajawa's special veggies called pucuk labu, a simple dish that has unique taste. Some times they have live music & the family (owner) have golden voices.

(Translated by Google) We had dinner here two evenings in this restaurant. The restaurant is clean and with a bit of luck there will be a band playing some music. This creates some atmosphere. However, you don't have to go here to feel full. The portions are very small and quite pricey by Indonesian standards. In Europe you can eat much better for the money you spend here. So you pay a lot more than what you get for that money. The service is also crap. As soon as we said something about it we were laughed at.

Ate here yesterday after reading about it in Lonely Planet. Ordered the tuna steak and the fruit drink as the guide recommended. The tuna tasted alright, but within a few minutes, my lips swelled up like a scene out of the Nutty Professor. Luckily, I am not allergic to any seafood and have been trained in HACCP and seafood safety so I had an idea of what was going on - histamine poisoning or scombrotoxicity. I hope everyone reads this because while it usually isn’t too serious, it can be deadly. Aside from the tuna incident, my boyfriend ordered the mie goreng (fried noodles), which tasted like it contained, or maybe had been cooked over, a diesel flame. We did not eat it. All in all, probably the most terrifying meal I’ve ever stumbled onto. Steer clear of this place.

Camellia Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with live music and a charming atmosphere. The Chinese menu is reasonably priced, ensuring a satisfying culinary journey. While the ambiance and scenery enhance the visit, some language barriers may be encountered when communicating with the staff. Despite this, patrons can enjoy flavorful dishes such as chicken satay and fresh spring rolls, although specific requests may not always be accurately fulfilled. Nonetheless, visitors appreciate the amiable service provided at this establishment in Indonesia.
Had the chicken satay. Was very good. Again the rice is optional, could be nice to add it with the plate. English is really limited. I asked for fresh spring rolls and she said yes many time, 5 oily / super oily spring rolls instead of the spring rolls I had in mind. Very good food, nice atmosphere. Looks like the best place in town.

Great place for food - very good value for money- they ran out of beer and the owner allowed us to get some from a kiosk ourselves - hot chicken plate was delicious -

Very good restaurant in town for bajawa. Friendly and attentive staff. They will always smile to you!! The portions are generous. Like many places in flores, the opening hours are inconsistent.

Worst experience in Flores. We ordered two fish and chips, like everybody. After one hour and half, we asked for takeaway because our evening was already lost. The portion they gave us was only for one person (picture attached). Very disappointed ☹️

I met a new friend at a homestay, we both had chicken schnitzel for lunch by night time we were both having diarrhea. I told the owner and she said impossible. Lasted through the night finished in morning. This restaurant is three times more expensive than local food i expect better. Perhaps its a bacteria caused by not washing hands before preparation or reusing oil til it spoils. Either way there are many restaurants in town, i cannot afford to be sick while traveling especially from a 'western food' restaurant.

I came here to eat something other than nasi goreng, mi goreng. They have a aniert chicken with potatoes ( not really wedges) . Big portion and very nice. Not dry. And cost 50 000. The fish soup had many pieces of fish. Very generous for only 40 000. I liked the food and place is clean. There is a live music corner.

The worst food i had during the time i was in Flores. We ordered fried noodles and fried rice, & the food arrived only after 35mins or so. I was pretty sure that my driver in Flores actually went backstage in the kitchen to actually help in cooking and/or food preparation. When the food arrived though, she gave us a huge portion of both the rice & noodles- it was ridiculous. The server(also the cook) looked clueless as to what she was doing & didnt even know how to open the beer bottle! I saw her expression when she opened a few beer bottles for other customers. A couple left the restaurant after waiting to be served for quite some time. I am NOT exaggerating when i said the food is horrible. Pls avoid this place!

Chicken schnitzel, potatoes and coleslaw were like something I'd get back in Australia. Really great. The tamarillo juice was perfect too. Highly recommend. The only drawback is that because it is on the main Street corner of town, the vehicles are extremely noisy. If you choose the windows and doors, this is abated a little. Oh and very importantly, they don't charge tax or service separately - which to me is extremely dishonest and means that I give less stars in review.
