Sola Beach is a delightful escape, surprisingly just a short 25-minute stroll from the airport. Its vast expanse of golden sand provides the perfect backdrop for serene beach days, with the sun casting a gentle glow on the pristine shoreline. The waters, crystal clear and inviting, shimmer with varying shades of blue, tempting both swimmers and those simply wishing to dip their toes. One of the highlights of this beach is the opportunity for long, leisurely walks. Stretching out invitingly, you can easily indulge in an hour-long walk, taking in the beautiful landscape and the rhythmic sound of the waves. The combination of natural beauty and accessibility makes Sola Beach a must-visit spot for travelers looking for a brief respite or those eager for a longer, tranquil seaside retreat.

Windy, a little foggy, a bit cold, sandy... But, on a beautiful day this must be a wonderful place to take a rest. Hiking on such a day surely is a stunner. However, there is something about doing it on a not-so-perfect day too. Surfing opportunities: Yes. Kiting: Yes. Windsurfing: Yes. The smell of the sea is always good.

Long sandy shoreline. Got there before 11am so it was not crowded yet. It was a beautiful balmy day for February. Very little wind and the sun was up and warm😊. It would be nicer if there were sitting areas but nothing a blanket can't fix.

Late March On the day we arrived it was windy and quite cold. But it's a romantic place to walk along the beach, clean sand, clear water, we will go back again in summer.....

Beautiful building for a wedding, lovely atmosphere and a piano to use for the service.

The ruins of this beautiful old church have been well restored and even though it's not possible for the average visitor to go inside, the window walls help give a good idea about interior. St. Olav's stone is just outside the walls. A really lovely site very close to the airport with a large parking area right in front (10-20 cars).
