Waterfalls
Huangguoshu Waterfall is a stunning natural wonder located in the breathtaking Huangguoshu National Park in Guizhou Province, China. This awe-inspiring 243 feet waterfall is the largest and most beautiful waterfall group in China, consisting of 18 falls including Yinlianzhuitan Waterfall and Doupotang Waterfall. The waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery and backed by caves, making it an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts.
This spot absolutely deserves a 5 star rating. The waterfalls especially the Silver Necklace Fall is jaw dropping in its beauty and uniqueness. The Shuilian cave behind the waterfall is also a must see. This area was very crowded when my group arrived ( mid May ), and the jostling to take the perfect shot can sometimes be annoying. The whole walk around took several hours and could be challenging for those who are not fit.

This is the third largest waterfall in Asia. As the only foreigner in the entire park visiting, I got some extra attention and quickly became a local celebrity. For the entire day, I think I took an hour taking photos with the local tourists. It was truly a moment to remember. If you are ever in the Guizhou province, you have to take the high speed train and visit this place. It’s a full day activity and get prepared to get wet.

Well I guess I am the second ‘foreigner’. The main attraction in Guiyang so a ‘must see’. Suggest you come very early or very late due to the crowds. Walk the path to the waterfall in a clock wise direction and take the escalator back up. There are less crowded places to set up your camera further down the path almost to the entrance of the cave. Rain coat recommended and you can buy used ones for half price to save the environment

The place is scenic and popular. However, it is not the good season to visit the waterfall due to lack of waterflow during the April, I probably will suggest to visit during the season of June to August as rainfall could increase the flow to make the waterfall stand out more. But if you are looking just to combine with blue sky and sunny weather,a simple photobwithout any shooting angle requirements, then there is no need to worry.

The Huangguoshu Waterfall is a stunning natural wonder located in Guizhou Province, China. It is renowned for being one of the largest waterfalls in China and is often referred to as the "Yellow Fruit Tree Waterfall" due to its name's translation. The waterfall cascades down a series of cliffs and rocks, creating a magnificent spectacle that attracts tourists from around the world. At its widest point, the Huangguoshu Waterfall spans about 81 meters (266 feet), making it an impressive sight to behold. The water plunges down from a height of approximately 74 meters (243 feet), generating a powerful roar and a mist that adds to the enchanting atmosphere. Visitors can explore various vantage points and pathways around the waterfall to enjoy different perspectives of its grandeur. There are also viewpoints that allow visitors to appreciate the surrounding natural beauty, including lush greenery, cliffs, and rock formations. The Huangguoshu Waterfall is not only a scenic marvel but also holds cultural significance in Chinese folklore and history, adding to its allure as a must-visit destination for nature lovers and travelers seeking awe-inspiring landscapes.

The largest and most majestic Waterfall in this National Park. You will be wowed by the sight of this huge gigantic landscape.. A must visit place if you are in 黄果树瀑布. Take the world's longest escalator from the top of the park to the base in a 3 minutes. If you stay at the Huang Guo Shu hotel, there is a direct entry point into the waterfall..

Lack of 1) animals (eg butterflies, birds, insects) and its noise. 2) mosses, epiphyte are not visible I'm comparing with Mulu Caves National Park.

We went on a rainy day. MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE SHOE COVER! We only bought the raincoat but didn’t buy the shoe cover. Our shoes are soaked near the waterfall. But the view is still splendid despite a rainy day.

A must go if you visit Guizhou Province, the main attraction of Huangguoshu National Park. As the biggest waterfall in China, she is indeed a beautiful and magnificent waterfall. Together with Yinlianzhuitan Waterfall and Doupotang Waterfall, they form the most beautiful waterfall group in China. For more tourism information you can visit my blog at TravelAsiaLand.com

Beautiful waterfall. Consistantly busy. Basic tickets include two days of entry, so make use of the time you're paying for! Almost everything is walkable if you're ambitious and don't want to pay for the bus, which is a whole separate fee from the entry ticket. There's not a whole lot of English information available.

Mentioned on
Tianxingqiao Scenic Area, located near Huangguoshu Waterfall, is a picturesque destination abundant in water, rocks, forests and caves. It was among the first national places of scenic and historic interest approved by the state. The area offers two walking trails: a shorter upper trail and a longer lower trail that showcases stunning greenery, rock formations, and beautiful waterfalls like the Yinlianzhuitan Waterfall.
The highlight of my trip to 黄果树瀑布. There are so many nice scenery to view within this scenic spots. There are 2 parts of the walking trail inside this scenic spot. The upper trail is a shorter one and takes about 1 hour to complete. The real deal is the lower trail where you get to experience the honest part of this National Park. The greenery, the tree and rock formations plus the amazing waterfalls along the trail.. It takes about 2.5 to 3 hours to walk the entire lower trail.

The Yinlianzhuitan Waterfall (银链坠潭瀑布, in English means silver chain of water drops fall to pond) in Tianxinqiao Scenic Area, in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful and unique waterfall in China and probably in the world. You can get more information at my blog TravelAsiaLand.com

5Water Curtain Cave

Mentioned on
Water Curtain Cave is one of the main attractions in Huangguoshu National Waterfall Park, along with the Waterfalls Cluster and Rhinoceros Pool. The path to the cave can be slippery, especially during the rainy season, so it's advisable to wear a disposable raincoat. The cave itself is narrow and can get wet due to water splashing inside. It's best to visit around April when the water curtain is at its fullest.
Biggest waterfall in China, just 1.5hours driving from Guiyang city,so beautiful, prefer go on low season

Beautiful falls, but the cave was closed so we couldn't go under. It was about 180 RMB per person which seemed a bit expensive. Also, it seemed you had to pay for all 3 falls even if you could only make it to one.
Caroline Ooley — Google review
Really beautiful and the view is wide. Everyone should experience crossing the waterfall, that's interesting. For Asians who have watched the TV series <Journey to the West> in their childhood, this place should never missed! The flashbacks to the past and the beautiful scenery in eyes just combine and this feeling is amazing. The only minus is too many travellers... Never go there when it's holiday.

Really cool place in temperature. Bring a rain jacket

We went there on a day when there were very few others. It was an excellent experience. The waterfall was only flowing moderately so there was no risk and no limits on where we could go. Quite a unique adventure, being able to walk behind the curtain of water without getting wet. Well worth the visit.

Really nice view to take a picture but lots of steps. And very tiring
Alfred Hong — Google review
The path to the cave can be very slippery, especially during raining season. The cave itself is very narrow and can be wet due to water splashing into the cave. So a disposable raincoat maybe a good idea. They can be bought at the attraction entrance through street vendors for around 7 dollars. However, your photos are probably not going to look that good. The water curtain is smaller during winter. The best time to visit is around April.
