Hotel
Almira Hotel offers accommodation near Troulos Beach, just 350 meters away. Guests can enjoy a restaurant, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a bar, and a garden. The aparthotel provides free WiFi and private parking. The staff, including Anna and George, are friendly and attentive to ensure guests have an enjoyable stay. They work hard to create a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and cozy with good beds. The location is excellent with easy access to the beach.
This is a fantastic hotel. The owners are so helpful and it is clear to see the improvements they have made since taking over the hotel. Every member of staff were polite, helpful and welcoming. They have a brilliant pool bar serving lovely cocktails. The restaurant is also great - we had some of the best meals of our holiday in Oregano (plus their breakfasts are amazing!) The hotel is also only a short walk from bus stop and one of the best beaches on the island. We hope to be back in 2024!

It was a joy to be here. Relaxing and peaceful. Very nice people who works here, thanks Anna and George for the good hospitality they have here, they work so much and hard to make us have a good time at Almira. They have a very nice rooms and location. Good food and drinks in the bar. Nice bartenders like Nick. It's a quite quiet place and have been a blast to be here. The rooms are cosy and comfortable. The beds are also good.

Absolutely amazing. The owners Anna and George the apartment itself. Immaculately cleaned every day. Fresh towels alternate days. Food fabulous. Pool and bar brilliant. Can't recommend this complex enough. Best 2 weeks holiday we have had in a very long time.

Lovely place, the owners Anna and George cannot do enough for you. They work really hard and adk gor their advice.. Pool bar area and gardens immaculate. Staff are all friendly, they all speak English. Their restaurant, Oregano, is top class, food amazing and is priced similar to all the other local Tavernas, so don't be put off, it looks expensive but is not. Greek night is great fun 😄. Rooms are being refurbished, some finished, but those in need of TLC are fine, comfy beds and spotlessly clean. A/C is available at a small extra charge if not originally included. Supermarket 2 mins walk, beach another 5 mins. Bus stop 20, busses every 15 mins to take you to anywhere along the coast or to Skiathos town. We would book again.

A truly lovely place to stay. The location in Troulos is very peaceful but within a short drive of Skiathos town and some beautiful beaches. The accommodation is well furnished, clean and comfortable. The pool is incredibly inviting, the pool bar even more so with a great selection of cocktails made to perfection. Ample seating all around so need for ridiculous sun bed wars. Anna and George the owners are amazing, very accommodating and helpful, they even organized vehicle rental for the week, which was much cheaper than any I had researched myself. No question about it, will be staying again. John and Kath.

Spotlessly clean, friendly staff who can't do enough for you. Beautiful, clean pool and bar area. Fabulous restaurant, The Oregano and the gardens are stunning too. Only five mins walk from bus stop 20. Great location.

The hotel is amazing in every sense. Anna and George are the best. They are friendly and very helpful. We really enjoyed our time at Almira Hotel. The facility is very well maintained and all the staff are very friendly. The pool area is also great. In the hotel you can book breakfast or not. Otherwise, the breakfast is a la carte. In the evening you can chill at the bar, there is always something going on. There is also a restaurant in the Almira Hotel and once a week there is a Greek evening. This is really worth visiting. It is only a few minutes walk to the Troulous beach. The bus stop is also right next door. Actually I wanted to write a review for this hotel for a long time, and again and again I forgot. Because we were already there in July 2022. So now I would like to take the time and write a review to say thank you again. Because Anna and George, the hotel owners, have been SO helpful to us. Our flight was canceled and we were lost at night at the airport. And they organized a cab for us, prepared a room for us and wanted only the best for us. After the flight was cancelled again the next morning, Anna and George picked us up again and offered to let us spend the whole day at the pool until the plane leaves. Something like that really can't be taken for granted and we really appreciate what they did for us. What I want to say is: Book this hotel, you will not regret it. Anna and George are kind hearted people and own a great hotel.

Stopped here for 2 weeks at the beginning of May. Lovely hotel, location, owners & staff. Everywhere spotlessly clean. Good location in Troulos near to beach & bus stop. Oregano restaurant attached to hotel first class & Mike does a wonderful job in filleting the Sea Bream & Sea Bass. Never had a bad meal at any of the Taverna's in Troulos

Restaurant
Perched atop a sprawling valley, Nectar and Ambrosia offers splendid cuisine for discerning food enthusiasts alongside breathtaking vistas. Upon arrival, after ascending numerous steep steps, patrons can revel in a more traditional Greek taverna experience compared to others in the nearby area, all within an inviting ambiance. Begin with the delectable mussel saganaki before indulging in either the succulent lamb shank or the tantalizing pork en papillote as your main course.
Friendly atmosphere. Nice food, worth a visit. Try the muscles nectar. Great place.
Philip Sheppard — Google review
Nectar and Ambrosia is a lovely, fresh looking Greek Restaurant. It has a good menu, the food is excellent and the staff are super friendly without being overbearing. The house wine is, as far as I'm aware the only wine offered which is unusual but it was very good. It is on the first floor of a building reached by an outside stairway. For any infirm or disabled people it has a stair lift. All in all it is a very good restaurant - we were so impressed with our first visit we returned there for dinner on our late night of our holiday.
Neil Broadhurst — Google review
This is a fantastic restaurant! We (the two of us) went without making a reservation and the staff were very accommodating. Nectar & Ambrosia came across as a very friendly, family orientated place to dine and had a lovely traditional Greek atmosphere about it. The food was fantastic, freshly made and came at a good price, too! I'd definitely recommend if you are visiting or in the area, I'd also recommend making a reservation for those wanting a window seat! Fantastic place, thank you!

Incredible dinning experiance! Amazing food, good service, nice ambient! Best moussaka so far, mezes for 2 was amazing and beef was prepared to perfection! Very kind staff and the prices were very afordable ❤️
Martin Kozmos — Google review
Lovely restaurant. We went for dinner and got starter and mains - both were great. Beautifully decorated, lovely staff, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced! We (2 of us) arrived at about 7:15 and got a table without a reservation, but if you want a table next to the windows with a view, you'll have to reserve. Definitely one of the best places in Troulos to eat

Beautiful restaurant and very polite attentive staff. Great choice on the menu. Had the Briam which was amazing also the Swordfish. Worth the little bit extra....Will be visiting again before the end of our hols.

What a fantastic restaurant. Right from the start, we were made to feel welcome by the ever-so welcoming and accommodative staff, whom could not do anything more to help us, even though we had not pre booked a table. The views from here are outstanding, and the setting is also brilliant - very lively atmosphere but not too loud. The prices are very generous, our bill only reached around €50 for a family of four. If you're staying in Troulos or even anywhere on the island, you must visit here.

Lovely restaurant in an elevated position in Troulos. Great value for money. Friendly welcome. 56 steps to access, but there is a stair lift if you don't fancy the climb. Good menu choices.

Restaurant
Taverna Troulos is a great beachside dining spot similar to Zaharo. While it may not be fancy, the ambiance is welcoming and perfect for families as kids can play on the beach. The restaurant offers stunning views of Skiathos at sunset, making it an ideal place to enjoy a meal and drinks. Reviews rave about the delicious Greek food served here, with standout dishes like swordfish souvlaki featuring flavorful twists like local tomatoes in between fish chunks.
Amazing little family run place by the beach. Had lunch here a couple of times whilst we were staying in Troulos and it was the perfect little place. Has a really varied menu that is great value for money with a lot of Greek classics. Particularly liked the shrimp saganaki! The guys running the place are super lovely and really welcoming! Will definitely return when I’m back in Skiathos!
Claire Colley — Google review
Nice location and on the beach. Food was good. We had Shrimp pasta, Chicken Souvlaki followed by Baklava. However the service was poor. Took forever to take the order and deliver the food. They missed out on more drink orders by not checking. They forgot to bring dessert and had to be reminded. If you want to eat on the beach and spend 3 hours having a meal this is the place for you.
Sean Gribben — Google review
Superb Taverna, right on the beach. Excellent food, I had veal in tomato sauce which was as good as anything served at an upmarket restaurant at home. We went at dusk, such a stunning outlook over the beach and sea. Great friendly service and much cheaper than you would expect for such a location - a litre of quality house red at €10 and large Mythos at €3. Highly recommended.

The taverna is set in a great location at the back of Troulos beach. It was very busy when we arrived at 8:30pm. The staff were almost running around trying to keep on top of things. We didn't wait long to get served and the food was very good.
Phil Whitcombe — Google review
I don’t wanna talk About the so called “restrooms”. Waiters could’ve been more attentive, no napkins were brought us.The finished plates weren’t taken by them.(it was definitely not too busy). The food by itself is some kinda joke. Small portions in relation to the prices- it was barely warm - and didn’t even taste really good tho. No not again here my friends.
Rose McCormick — Google review
Taverna Troulos is situated just off the beach and has a lovely view. The food is typical Greek fare and well priced. We were a bit disappointed with the service as the starters took so long to arrive the main courses arrived before we had finished our starters. Then my main meal of Moussaka was not very warm and it took a while to attract the waiter. So much so I had to get up and go to him. The replacement dish was a good temperature. As always a little freebie is presented on payment of the bill - in this case a little ice cream cone.
Neil Broadhurst — Google review
Right on the beach, inexpensive food. We have visited this place few times. There was one waiter, who was great and careful, but do not know how to describe the rest ...(careless?) We realized that the low price is justified by lower quality of meal, smaller portions, etc. Greek salad lacked seasoning, it was just plain vegetables, some very few. If you try Greek salad in nearby restaurants, you find that there is a big difference for almost the same price. Surprisingly, when ordered Tarama, we were charged extra for a bread (5 small pieces of baguette for 2EUR?). Normally, Tarama salad (like Tzatziky etc) is automatically served with pita bread (or should we eat it just without bread?). Moussaka was quite small and served with french fries (?). Again, compare with others ... Eggplant salad was very plain, we missed some ingredients. Shrimps saganaki..we knew it was just an appetizer, however, we were really surprised to receive just a small portion for the price (8.5EUR) with only 4 small (coctail) shrimps without (again) pita bread. So this time, we raised a complain about the meal (size and number of shrimps). To our surprise, our favourite waiter opposed our arguments stating something like "what do you want for the price...you ate it...". So this was the last drop to us and the last time we visited this taverne. It is a pitty, maby we just haven't been lucky with a chef that week.

Outstanding! As anyone who reads my reviews will know, I like my Greek food. This place is right up there as one of the best i5n the planet! Situated right on the beach, the views are amazing. We had - Swordfish - as good as anywhere, with a little twist as a souvlaki, with local tomato between the fish chunk's - omg, to die for! Beef stifado that falls to bits looking at it, in the most amazing sauce, possible it was slow cooked for days?

Lovely Taverna, right on the beach at Troulos, kostas is your smiling host, great food, great views. We visited 3 times in 11 days, which says it all.

A nice place with a nice view but the grounds were very poorly maintained, very dirty toilets, when you walk towards the toilet it’s a bit smelly around the kitchen. The Olives where very salt!! Wasn’t our taste, but te staff did there best.

Bar
Christakis Sports Bar is a laid-back spot with two bars and a taverna by the pool. It's not just about sports; it offers a family-friendly atmosphere overseen by Chris. The food is highly praised, and there's a good selection of reasonably priced drinks. The location is wonderful, close to the beach and other amenities. With multiple screens for sports enthusiasts, it also has a pool area for those less interested in games. Visitors appreciate the friendly service and recommend trying the English breakfast.
Great place to watch the sport. So many screens so you won't miss your favourite team in action. If your partner isn't interested in sport then their is a pool with sunbeds to while away the afternoon.

A wonder location and lovely clean studios apartments, close to all tavernas and beach a short walk, Chris the host is great and would recommend to anyone travelling to Skiathos for a quiet relaxing holiday.

If you want to watch sports this is as good as any place you'll find. Good choice of drinks and food (served up to 3pm) is good value and quality, ideal for English breakfast or a lunchtime snack.

Good place to watch sport, with good choice of beers and cider available. Had veal steak one night and lamb chops another, along with the best home cooked real chips on the island.

Visited 4 times during our 10 day stay. Good friendly service. Our 11 year old loved the bar football table and the TV screens showing the football.

Walked past this venue and saw they had a large screen and they advertised they showed mama Mia on Saturday, I emailed them to find out the start time as we'd forgotten and got a quick response ( great customer service ) so we went to watch it. We had a couple of drinks and thoroughly enjoyed the film. It is a sports bar so good place to go to watch any sporting events, quite lively bar

This morning, I went into this bar. The day after 36 hours of the most apocalyptic weather I've ever seen. The whole island in turmoil, supermarkets empty and massive clear-ups going on. Yet they were open, serving food and doing their best to keep tourists fed and watered when so many other places were unable to open. Just a top effort from everyone who works there. Your hard work was noted and appreciated by many. Go here and have a few beers because they deserve your money.

Chris was a great host nothing was too much trouble typical greek hospitality which keeps us returning to Greece the rooms were kept very clean with the help from Fatima bit of a hill but not too bad a lovely beach in walking distance and supermarket next door bus service all over the island was 3 euro Having never stopped at a sports bar before I would recommend this place to everyone I really enjoyed our 2 week stay

In my humble opinion, probably the best place to eat in Troulos Bay, or even on Skiathos... OK, maybe that's a tad presumptuous. There's no way I've sampled the delicacies of the whole island, but what I can say is you'll be hard pushed to find anywhere better than Oregano. A scrupulously clean establishment, delicious food and drink at decent prices, and with very friendly and welcoming staff, All in all a great place to eat and drink, couldn't recommend more, A****.

Ate here this evening. Got a table despite not booking. Seemed nice enough. Clean and smart menus and staff. Order taken quickly and Bread and tzatziki put 9n table. We had Prawn Pasta and Beef Fillet Souvlaki. Food decent enough. Pasta was very cheesy! Ambience not fantastic. Staff attentive enough.
