Fantastic place. As a traveller from the UK this provided a welcome place for relaxation, some sun, shade (helpfully!) and a great swim and slide. Really great setting beside the lake with beach and lake access. Large grassed areas with deckchairs or sun loungers, An Olympic height diving platform and aqua climbing (a first for me!) in a separate pool. A large outdoor pool great for lengths but also a fantastic temperature for a hot day. A heated outdoor pool that was like a bath on a hot day and children's splash play pool. Indoors two large pool areas. Finally 4 fantastic slides / flumes. We tried 3 but the vertical drop of the 4th saw us chicken out. A bit pricey but worth it!

Amazing pool! - Clean, large, everything well-organized - Lovely warm outdoor pool with a bubble bath and a view of the mountains - Really cool water slides on an amusement park level (there's an extra fee at the entrance if you want to use them) - Nice toddler pool with a soft bottom and a slide for the little ones in the main pool - Delicious fries at the restaurant (note: the portions are huge) - Large inflatable cushion on the lake - And several diving boards too In short: highly recommended!

We were in Locarno for the triathlon and the entrance fee was included so we chilled before the event. The place is really nice, it feels luxurious for the price you pay - which I think it’s 13 francs. The structure is very modern and the areas themselves are clean and inviting.

Great pool, superb view, very kid-friendly. One outside pools is heated to what feels like 36°. Starting September 2023 they are renovating quite few pools too!

Well organized lido with a lot of swimming pools and one of them with hot water. There is also a diving area with trampoline and also a local restaurant which serves burgers, salats & pizza. The entry price for an adult is only 13 CHF. Totally worth the drive from Zurich considering the huge temperature differences ☀️🔝

I love this place , very neat and clean Its a fun distention for the family More than 5 swimming pool with different sizes , small aqua park inside Shaded pools , and nice restrant as well Negative point : 1 bottle of water cost 3.5 euro ( you can imagine the rest ) Also the entrance ticket cost 20 euro approx which is very expensive compared to the other lido in Switzerland

I was there with my daughter today. I paid extra for her to be able to go on the slides. However her ticket did not work and would not let her on the slides. When I went to complain they refused to either replace the ticket or refund the extra money.

A large and beautiful bathhouse, which has something for every age. There is good food, friendly staff, Entertainment and a lot of fun. We were there with our son (11 months) and he felt verh comfortable. Unfortunately it does not have much shade, so you are forced to be there very early or rent a parasol. The prices are proud, bit if you look at the whole area, it will be fine.

I admit that I love to swim. What you get: 50m outdoor pool, pool for kids and toddlers. Bid and hot whirlpool other features. Most beautiful view you andprobably may have from a public shore. Sunday and Saturday crowded. Building is very modern and stylish. Outdoor pools are quite old but in good shape. Of course you may also swim in the lake! Enjoy. No pictures from the pool cause of personal privacy.

Arrive early, spend the day. 45+ CHF for 2 adults & 2 kids under 9. Take lunch with you, very expensive. Great pools, some slides and well organised. Can swim also in the lake. Hi dive boards are cool. A great day out. Slides are NOT for under 6 years old.

Several pools: inside, outside, warm, cold, deep, flat, hot tub, slides and high diving. Big green area on the lake, small restaurant. Clean toilets, rest- and changingrooms with lockers.

It was a lovely experience to visit the church and museum. You take the venichular up and back and that was easy. The museum is free to enter and includes nice artworks and interesting items from the past that have been used in church life. You are able to attend mass here too. The church was full of art. This is a really nice activity to understand the history of this very special place.

The church was more majestic than I expected. What makes this church special is the statues displaying every key moment in Jesus's life. I truely do not want you to miss the landscape that we can enjoy outside of this church.

Amazing monastery and church. You will be rewarded with an amazing view of Locarno from its terrace. We went up using furnicular.

Famous View Point of the city, has short cut to Locarno and also a small museum to visit.

Great place to visit if you are able bodied! Get the Funicular up, visit the church and the grounds and take a walk down through history! It’s beautiful, relaxed and serene!

Beautiful cathedral located at a hill near Locarno . It is accessible by car or train, but you need to take the stairs to reach it. Not suitable if you have trouble with walking/stair. The view is stunning and specially at a sunny day. The view of Lago maggiore is spectacular.

Interesting and very well preserved place above the roofs of Locarno with a spactacular view over the city and the lake. Pleasant to discover all its little stairways and hallways. Make sure to check out the church itself with its beautifully painted ceiling. Also have a look at the upper stairs up to the main street above, if you want to score some great pics with the lake and the mountains in the background, or even the building itself as a nice background for a cool portrait of you bird.

One of the most unique churches I have ever visited, built on a cliff has a breathtaking view and an even more so unique history. It’s free to visit and I would definitely recommend it if you are interested in the history and culture in general; even for people who are not that interested in religion.

Short and not very strenuous hike (mostly stairs) and beautiful views over the town and lake. Funicular option is available too.

Very nice, wide Plaza with ancient cobblestone and colorful historic fasades. Close to the lake, many little shops and restaurants. A real gem in the histories centre of Locarno. There's not that much around but the Piazza grande is well worth the visit. Make sure to check out the narrow streets around it and to get some gelato. The place was occupied by a large screen at one end due to the movie festival, so its full glory was covered partly.

One of the greatest and largest open air cinema spaces in the world! A must visit for every film festival lover/professional!

Please note my comments are based primarily around our film festival experience within this space. It’s early August and the Locarno Film Festival is in full flow, the centrepiece is the Piazza Grande, where up to 8000 people per night gather to watch movies on one of the world’s biggest screens. It’s an experience you are unlikely to forgot, to share those moments with thousands of strangers, it’s kind of amazing and incredibly cool. I love the environment here, who says cinema is dead when so many gather to watch films both big and small. Loved it each night as bats made their way across the screen, maybe they were watching.

Great artisan market beautiful architecture. Covered shopping alley. Great cafes and restaurants /Bar walking distance to everything

Nice large square surrounded with beautifull buildings. Like other places in Locarno, it have an Mediterran flair. It is the main square where many events are organized through the year

Worth stopping here if your going to see the castles! Busy on the weekends but calmer during the week. Check out the church too. Incredible detail inside.

The events that Locarno organizes are simply amazing. Winterland at Piazza Grande was well organized, great skating and shopping opportunities, and the videomapping fairy tale was fabulous. Many thanks to the organizers, I am looking forward to more such events in Locarno!

I was in Piazza Grande for Eros Ramazzotti live concert. Fantastic experience, fantastic atmosphere, fantastic people... I am looking forward for next year concert season in Locarno, Switzerland.. I highly recommend you to monitor the concerts next sprint to checkout the singers or bands... Cheers!

It's a center of locarno where everything is here and when the time we visits its Christmas holidays and lot of Christmas lights

Amazing Piazza with beautiful old buildings. Many cafes and restaurants, however very touristy. But great for a coffee and sit and admire the surroundings

Grand. Saw many films here during the festival. Loved every rainy and starry and sunny moment.

The show was amazing and super engaging. Even though the narrative was only in Italian and German (and I speak neither), it didn’t make it any less fun. Highly recommended for adults, teenagers, and kids!

I had a lovely time at Falconeria Locarno. The show was very entertaining and the birds seemed well taken care of. The whole place is well kept.

The show is an amazing experience!! Don't lose that. The zoo is nice but during the show you have the experience to see all animals flying freely P.s. come with a hat and you could have a chance to have an eagle landing on you P.p.s they are pretty friendly

Come back after 4 years with children. Still great, unbelievable experience. Great birds, grat show, great investment in this place and in training. Eagles flying to your face many surprises. I'll vote again

Amazing show. Learned a lot about the history of falconry, and enjoyed the birds from a very near distance (had one even on my head). Highly recommended half day trip! Also, the pizza in the bistro tasted fantastic and was very reasonably priced.

Classic falconeria, if you're looking for a more interactive experience than just your average zoo, this is fantastic. Great performances, horse riding, eagle & owl holding with photos available too, super cool place & a must visit.

Indeed many (large) birds flying around (some even over your head) during the show. Definitely worth attending. Note it can quite wet in case of rain as tents over tribunes don't do their job well.

Pricey for what it is. We came 10min earlier off-season and all the good seats in the shade where already taken. We sat at the side and therefore barely saw the birds.

Great place to spend 45 minutes birds live show, and take picture from very short distance of birds, real fun and instructive informations for adults and childrens, a lovely place to enjoy a brunch and drinks
