Klong Prao Beach

Mentioned on
Beach
Outdoor Activities
Klong Prao Beach is a beautiful and long bay with white sandy shores, perfect for romantic beach walks. It offers a family-friendly atmosphere with various options for food and accommodation, including cozy bars and middle-class resorts. The beach features a lagoon that divides it into two parts that are easily accessible on foot. However, arriving by car may be challenging as there is limited parking near the sandy beach.
It is a beautiful sandy beach on which you can walk, run and take nice pictures. I enjoyed running on this beach in the morning. During sunsets the beach becomes more beautiful with a low tide.
Emre Senbabaoglu — Google review
Driving up hills, we arrived at this beach. When we parked our car, we walked through some pebbles after arriving here. Couldn't find anywhere to park next to sandy beach.

Nice narrow beach of white sand and clear water (photos taken in December) - wild vibes with few restaurant/bar directly on the sand
Martina Muratori — Google review
Small and narrow but fairly empty, so you (almost) have the beach to yourself. Water is cloudy though, so no snorkeling. Mostly good for getting your tan on and some sunset dips.
Tommy Zěitgeist — Google review
It's a lovely beach with lots of nightlife and restaurants. A bit slow because there is a distinct low season from May due to the wet season. This is a good time to go if you don't want crowds. We stayed in a hotel right on the beach.
Graham Young — Google review
Super beautiful beach with nice water, white sand and many shells. Sadly we got sand fleas and apparantly its common there
Hanna ?berg — Google review
It's the longest beach on Koh Chang on the west side, very nice clear water in non monsoon season and a good place to swim and recreation.
Pasan Sensouk — Google review
Stunning quiet long stretch of natural beach. Depending what time of day, the tide can take up a lot of beach sand space. Lots of shade on the north part of the beach. Many beachside massage spots and restaurants to choose from.
Maja M — Google review
The beach area near the the mouth of the river is beautiful and clear on the first day we visited. We had a wonderful swim as it was deep enough , and we could see under the water for any stones. It was mostly sandy, few stones in the water. The beach in the late afternoon was not too busy. It felts pretty chilled. Not any shaded areas to sit unless you sit at one of the resort restaurants, which is fine. We accessed this with a kayak supplied by our hotel from the river which took less than 10 minutes , and we are novice rowers. We think it’s possible to access the beach from the other side without having to row there. The only down side is that near the middle of the beach there is a waste water system where this water looks like it flows into the sea. Therefore although it seemed clean when we were there, we are not certain if it really was , and how much longer this beautiful sea can remain clear with the waste systems. We hope that it won’t be spoiled. The second time visited later in the week. Water not as clear, we we went further north up the beach. It was still soft sand and warm waters, and swimming was possible. It’s just more apparent that there is waste water being pumped into the sea which isn’t nice.

The most beautiful beach on the island ever, the long beach with the perfect sand. Various restaurant and few coffee shop along the beach, also the peacefully space for you to relax, listing to the tidal wave and stay with yourself. Freely enjoy your swimming in the ocean and sunbathing on the beach. Let's go.

Khlong Phlu Waterfall

Mentioned on
Nature & Parks
Waterfalls
Khlong Phlu waterfall is a serene tourist attraction situated amidst lush greenery. This tranquil waterfall features a sizeable swimming hole, which offers visitors the perfect opportunity to cool off in the refreshing water. To reach this natural wonder, tourists can take an easy 600 meter walk along a scenic path from the entrance. Visitors are required to pay an entry fee of 40 baht per person (for Thai).
Khlong Phlu Waterfall in Koh Chang is a splendid natural attraction worth visiting. Despite the 200 Baht entrance fee, the experience is quite rewarding. The waterfall itself is a picturesque scene, providing a tranquil and refreshing environment ideal for relaxation and photography. Visitors should be prepared for a bit of a trek to reach the waterfall, as the path can be rugged. It's advisable to wear secure and comfortable shoes to navigate the uneven terrain safely. Overall, for those looking to immerse themselves in nature's beauty, Khlong Phlu Waterfall is a worthwhile destination.
Pauline Mulvaney — Google review
Perhaps because I've seen much better waterfalls this didn't really do it for me. It's not bad, but had I known what it was like, I probably wouldn't spend 200 Baht (40 Baht for Thai) to visit. It lies at the end of a 500 meter trail through the forest with a small viewpoint of the river en route. It's popular with people wanting to swim in the pond at the bottom of the waterfall. Parking motorcycles at the entrance to the Park is another 20 Baht.
Miles Macdonald — Google review
A pretty little park to visit... but make sure you visit during the right season. In April, we're far enough out of the wet season that there was barely a trickle over the rocks. We played with the fish and took some nice pics but saw little of the waterfall.
Ken S — Google review
Great way to spend a few hours. The waterfall is around 500m from the ticket office. We visited today and although it's the dry season, it rained briefly this morning, which made the path to the waterfall a little treacherous. It's over rocks and roots so is a little rough in just flip flops. We made it safely, but it's better to wear proper shoes if you have them. The waterfall itself is lovely. The water is very clear and fresh. There's a pool at the bottom of the waterfall which is deep, and there are lifejackets available. The pool extends around 100m or so to some rocks, and by the time it reaches the rocks it's very shallow. So you have the option of just wading and getting your feet wet, or going for a proper swim. The water is full of some very curious fish, who like to nibble at your feet. It's a nice, relaxing half-day trip. Prices: Parking (motorbike) - 10 Baht Parking (car) - 20 Baht Entry fee (Thai national) - 40 Baht Entry fee (foreigner) - 200 Baht
Jordan G — Google review
A nice waterfall and swimming area. Access is over rocks, tree roots and it quite uneven so not suitable if you dont like small trails through the rainforest. Water is crystal clear with fish. The only toilets are at the entry so get changed into swimmers before u walk up. Takes about 25mins to walk all the way to the waterfall. Take water with u as there are no vendors selling anything nearby.
Daniel Jones — Google review
Entry Ticket 200 baht/person for foreign (40 baht/Thai people). We come here on July 2023 & the waterfall is falling heavily. From the entrance you may go trekking for about 30 minutes, and beware of slippery trails. It is a easy trekking trip for kids too. There are 5 stations but actually the concept of each station is not clear. Water is clear & there are many fish, but it's also a little bit dangerous to climb & swim in deep water. Worth a try for a half-day activity on the island.
Leo Nguyen — Google review
What a beautiful waterfall full of curious fish that will be following you in the water! This place is spectacular! We spent hours there and absolutely love it. The hike is very easy, basically anyone can do it. It's a bit expensive to get in as a foreign but totally worth it. A must see while in Koh Chang!
Carla J. — Google review
฿40 to park a car and ฿200 for non-Thai. Pleasant staff and the trail is in really good condition. The whole trail is shaded and only opens up at the waterfall itself. Not too busy but not empty around 13:00 and the fall is still worth seeing in the Dry Season. 40 minutes from car park to fall if you stop at viewpoints and take photos, 20 minutes if you don’t stop. Advisable to wear shoes as although the trail is fairly easy, there are parts that are momentarily steep or require proper footholds.
r2thebizel — Google review
Waterfall with a pool to swim in. It was fairly easy to walk through the natural path, around 600m from the entrance to reach the waterfall. Entry fee 40 baht per person (for Thai).
Panida Da Ottesen — Google review
Swimming at the waterfall viewing spot (at the end of the trail) is not allowed but we could swim at the big clear pool or shallow waterfalls along the way there. Lots of Pluang fish in the area, some of small ones come to do fish spa for free! Dipping into cold fresh water is a great relaxing and fun acivity esp for kids. Quite a safe place for kids who are able to swim. Also, parking lots at the entrance are available and convenient for cars and motorcycles. No need to park outside the National Park area (and pay more).
Nisanat T. — Google review
I write many reviews and I really am stuck on what to write here ! I want to be positive but it’s not made easy by the experience if I’m honest. I live in Thailand and I am not a tourist - dual pricing is still common in Thailand and they show no shame at all - it’s like they don’t want tourists to visit these places !! So I have pale skin so I paid 200baht and my wife paid 40baht even though I hold a Thai ID and spend all my income in Thailand. If I question this I am told it helps maintain the park or waterfall or golf course or whatever you are over charged for. Well maintenance is certainly not funded by my entrance fee or anybody else’s - the hand rails are either broken or missing so no spending there ! Another over staffed place - 1 very bored man to sell you a ticket without eye contact or a smile - a second man 5 meters away to check your ticket !! We wandered up the 600meters of very unstable and rocky path and even managed not to break an ankle or 2, using the poorly fitted ropes in ad hoc locations we reached the waterfall - Niagara it is not, so don’t get too excited I am glad I did this trip but really unlikely to return. Sorry this has been so negative but it’s hard to praise such an experience.

Khlong Phlu Waterfalls is one of the treasures of Koh Chang and is a must visit for all travelers. I've been here a number of times with family and friends. The path is a mountainous 600 meter trek so watch out for small kids and elders. The final swimming pool at the waterfall has the fish that eat the skin off your feet like the fish spas but by Mother Nature. You can also jump off both sides of the rock formation, an 7 foot drop into the water.
Shomori Pass — Google review
Nice and chilled waterfall with a little hike through the jungle. We visited the waterfall end of october in rainy season and it was perfect. There is a parking space for 20 Baht right before the entrance. If you are lucky you can also drive through the entrance and park directly on one of the few free parking spaces.

Koh Chang is not just about beaches. If you are bored with beaches and want to take bath in fresh water, then there are 5 to 6 waterfalls in Koh Chang. Among them Khlong Phlu waterfalls is the best. You have to hike for 500 mts to reach the falls. It is a very easy hike. Also you have to get an entry pass as this waterfalls is located inside a national park.

Beautiful waterfall, short hike. Crystal clear water. Bring good shoes, the rocky, wet path is challenging in flip flops. Also wear your bathing suit.
john dohrmann — Google review
Nice 1,5 hours walk from our resort to this beautiful waterfall. We’ve spend some time there, my daughter swam a little in the clear water with some fish in it. During dry season, the water fall had little water. But nevertheless it’s nice there. Calm, pure nature and far away from rest of the island
Lorenz Krüger — Google review
I recently visited the waterfall in Koh Chang near White Sand Beach and had a wonderful time. The trekking and trail walk to the waterfall offered stunning views of the surrounding nature. Although the entrance fee for non-Thai people was 200 baht, which I found a bit pricey, the clear water lake with many visible fishes made it worthwhile.
Rith Pisey — Google review
200 baht entrance fee seemed a bit steep but it was a nice walk up and the falls and swimming area were beautiful and refreshing. Some quite large fish to look at and the smaller ones do nibble your feet but a really nice way to relax. Go there early to avoid the annoying Russians!
rob v — Google review
Water fall is about 900m from the gate. It is applied entrance fee. The walking pass to the wall is made by people walked and step on stone and route of tree too. And up and down. We saw an older person came with son but it is tough to walk. At the end we can see this wall. Water is cooler and many dishes there. Once you step in and stand still, you feel something biting your foot. Fish like doctor fishes are biting foot. Worth to come and enjoy cooler water.

Lovely place. Hike in can be a little slippery at times depending on the weather as well. There are guide ropes at certain points that are helpful as well. Could be a little challenging for people with mobility issues. Very scenic walk in. Well kept areas. Lovely waterfall with nice pool underneath to cool off. Did have a few nibblie fish but not too bad. Definite must see of Koh Chang. 200baht to get in for adults.
kylie maree — Google review
Went there in April 2024. Price for an adult- 200 thb. It’s a very short 10-15 min light hike to the waterfall. The forest is beautiful and very lush green with butterflies flying all around you. If you come early in the morning you will be able to enjoy the swim to the waterfall on your own.

Mu Koh Chang National Park is a well-known destination for nature enthusiasts, situated on an island and offering opportunities for snorkeling and exploring the jungle through various hikes. The area boasts several beach hotels and restaurants where visitors can unwind after their adventures. It's a popular location due to its natural beauty, making it an ideal spot to witness the wonders of wildlife both in land and underwater. Overall, Mu Koh Chang National Park serves as a perfect getaway for those seeking adventurous outdoor activities amidst beautiful surroundings.
Beautiful island in the Gulf of Thailand The sea looks like a pool its water is crystal clear and it hasn’t almost waves you can swim with all confidence in the middle of fish and snails; there is for all budgets lodging from resorts to hostels. The food is also from several budgets the Thai dishes cheaper prices and the international at good cost. There are several payment activities such as tours to the surroundings, but please DON’T ride an elephants, people use them as a tourist attraction, the most likely to be they mistreated to domesticate them 😢

Great place for a vacation. BUT the island has less of public transportation choice. You have to choose between rent a car or use a truck taxi. The bus to island is not that good. So if you want a convenient way please rent a car and everything will be easy.

The map takes you to the office area of the Park. The waterfall etc is dry because of weather is what we were told so we couldn't go inside. Road can often be quite steep, so bike riding must be done carefully.

Nice Island to go for a couple of days to relax. There are also oppurtunities to go snorkeling and diving which is nice. There are a lot of tourists there but not as many as it can be in other places and islands in Thailand. I think i got what i expected from the trip. There is a lot of boats going daily to the island and it's not hard to find the harbour if you use Google Maps. I recommend it if you would like to go snorkeling/diving or have a couple of relaxing days at the beach.

Amazing, serene and quaint... Less words to express but more filled with feelings. It's a pristine rainforest and well maintained national park. 70% of Koh Chang Island is covered with rainforests. The ferry service to the island and national park is on schedule so no difficulties reaching it. Also the important part is that these ferries are Bukit for car transport so you can take your car with you in order to wander in rainforest since no other public transport available except sing thong taxies or resort shuttle services. The whole road that has been carved through mountain is wonderful and worth driving on for an adventurous soul

Lonely Beach

Lonely Beach is a favored destination for backpackers who enjoy its bright sand, coconut trees, tranquil waters and festive ambiance. Located in Lonely Beach Town, it provides an affordable variety of accommodations including bungalows and hostels along with numerous bars and restaurants. It's particularly popular among the younger set due to budget-friendly prices, making it a haven for party-goers seeking to sip on coconuts while relaxing on the beach or engaging in lively social activities.
One of the top island beaches - you should come and see it before the beach is packed with hotels( some new ones are being built 🙁). They’re now just a couple of hotels and some bars, but the place looks almost pristine , the right side has a wonderful scenery. I recommend if you prefer something secluded to crowded and noisy beaches of White sands
Tatiana Vorobeva — Google review
Lonely Beach has a lovely rather "Hippyish" vibe to it with chilled music from speakers pushing out rhythmic low beats. It is primarily a young packpackers style beach. Along here you get small platform bars just a foot or two above the sand where people sit on cushions drinking a beer. It's also where they have fireshows at night. Alas it's seen better days, one of the main backpacker hut style resorts here has not survived Covid leaving fewer options for cheap backpacker accommodation. Broken, wood and concrete structures behind the Beachfront remain as its legacy.
Miles Macdonald — Google review
First came here 25 years ago when you had to get a boat around from the next beach. Stayed at tree house back then. Was lovely then, still clean now, but seems like private resorts have taken over. At the southern end there's a rundown pier of beer bars and a restaurant but most have shut down now.
Jay Roams Thailand — Google review
Lonely beach area with the same names small, clean beach. A laid back place that's perfect to relax and watch the sunset without mass tourism. Drinks, food and massage all available at the beach. Definitely one of our favourite places to enjoy beach life. If you need more, just walk 10 minutes to the village center and you will find clubs, bars and restaurants.

This beach is so beautiful! It's my second favorite beach in Koh Chang. It's too far from convince stores, and the road is hard to drive to the beach. However, it's worth the view!!!! ❤️❤️ There were not many rock, and it's clean!! Recommend to come here in Siam hotel. Seem to be the best part of this beach.
Zany — Google review
The BEST beach on the island. We loved this beach. Amazingly chill and not as windy as the other beaches. Great for singles, couples or families. Not too crowded either. Lovely for sunset! Just find a room near this beach and ENJOY!
Will Langston — Google review
Lovely clear sea but blighted by broken down concrete structures. Not much choice for accommodation.
Jonathan Tout — Google review
Clear calm warm water gets deep enough for a proper swim. A couple ranges of beach restaurant bars to choose from in terms of price. The beach was clean when we visited. There were some shaded areas to sit depending on the time of day. There are small rocks for a few meters but you can swim over them and after lovely soft sand. Was not overly busy when we arrived but there were plenty of people in the sea swimming!
MNML journey — Google review
One of my favorite beaches on the commercial side of the island. For the most part, this white sand beach is shared by 2 wonderful resorts, Nature Beach Resort and The Siam Beach Resort. Both resort add their charm to the beach. It has one of the best sunsets on the island and there’s no shortage of food and beverages, beach chairs and happy beach goers. This is my go-to beach every time I’m on the island.

LOVE this beach .. full of amazing restaurants and somewhat empty beach but the restaurant were full! Was here during Songkran festival and it was so much fun! A group of us went here as friend and rented an AIRBNB and this was the beach we chose was this one and we had a great time. Hanging out here all day the the perfect way to pass your day! Caution: when you are swimming in this ocean water be aware of being carried away as this ocean is a bit more wavy and can get carried away like we did and we had to carefully swim back as we couldn't touch the ocean floor. Highly recommend to go to Koh Chang!

The beach is beautiful. Sharp stones when you go inside the water so be careful. The only problem is that the beach is full of rubbish and nobody is doing anything about this apparently.

It was challenging to find a normal entrance to the beach. The one we found was through the hotel so we bought a coconut just to swim a bit. The beach itself is ok and clean, but has lots of rocks before entering the water.
Mariana — Google review
Marked as one of my most favorite place for watching a sunset. Not to include that the beach here is sandy and nice, surrounded by nice bars and restaurants like Nature beach resort, Mimo bar or Life's a beach (these are my absolute favorite place to have food/drinks or something to smoke plus paddle boards and kayaks to rent if you want some adventure!) Also this area has small massage shops that also affordable (compare to the fact that it's situated at the beach so you can enjoy the beach, the sunset and such during your massage time!) I'd really recommended this beach for sure (around Nature beach resort area til the end) They also have fire show during specific time and day in the evening 🔥 sick! You wouldn't be disappointed!
Bia — Google review
Warning: rant coming! We were appaled by Lonely beach and the little 'village' that surrounds it. A lot of run down resorts, trash really everywhere, broken cars and appliances alongside of the road. We travelled around Thailand for a month and this place was the worst. Almost everything you see is built for touristst only. There's no Thai culture left and it shows. 2 bars with loud music every night.... But please....it can be so different. Start to clean the place up! Pick up the trash, provide waste bins...how hard can it be? Saddest place I've seen. Never going back.

WOW Here you have everything you need for a relaxed day, beach in front and the best food. Everything we order was amazing. We came here 2 times and it was always perfect… you can chill and lay in front of the beach, they also have a massage service. The prices are also really fair. I will always come back and can high recommend it.

Kind of pricey, but food was good enough. Nice atmosphere and nice view of the beach! You can rent a kayak for 150 baht per hour which is nice too. Really beautiful and empty beaches with lots of sand dollars, crabs, and clams. Would go again.

Klong Kloi Beach is in my opinion the most beautiful beach of Ko Chang. It is not as busy as the other beaches, there are only a few hotels on the beach, rather restaurants or bungalow complexes, it is very quiet, there are many shady places and the entrance to the water is very shallow. A dream!

Really lovely beach! All of the little guesthouses and restaurants here have sun beds and hammocks available to use, which makes it super comfortable! We came back to this beach 3 days in a row we loved it so much!
Bella Lay — Google review
This beach could be lovely and it does have a great atmosphere however has been ruined by humans with all of the rubbish everywhere on the beach. I was shocked how busy it was when I visited and families had set up for the day surrounding themselves and their children in plastic and all sorts of rubbish. The rubbish was everywhere! Mixture of coat hangers, plastic cups, tooth flossers, kids toys, any thing you can think of that was small and plastic would be on the beach. I really think the bar owners and hotel owners along this beach should do their bit and clean up their own section of the beach. It’s such a shame to see this happening.
chloe baker (cjbaker) — Google review
This is a great little beach side restaurant with sun loungers, swings and shaded seating areas in a very chilled setting. The service is good, Staff speak English and the food is fine. Recommend the holy basil squid and shrimp omelette. Quite good. Clean toilets too. The road in is bad so drive slow.

Beautiful small beach. You can come for a daytrip here or stay in one of the resorts and enjoy the beachlife for a couple of days. Be careful as it can be a bit rocky inside the water. It‘s different to the rest of the island. More quiet and peaceful.

Oodie's Place, a well-established bar located on the inland side of the road near KC Grande in Koh Chang, is a must-visit for those looking to have an enjoyable night out. This popular restaurant bar offers live performances by local musicians who entertain guests with rock, blues, and reggae music almost every night. If you're inclined towards music and play an instrument, don't hesitate to introduce yourself here.
....I guess it's one of rhe best livemusic Bar/restaurants at the island. The music is stunning, because I hear some rumours, that the guy there it's a member of the Carabao Singer group... Very good food, also steak and resonable prices for drinks... 100% Recommended
Thomas Kaercher — Google review
Terribly lousy cheese pizza. Absolutely no flavor whatsoever. I couldn't taste the cheese or the sauce, and the crust was more like a bad cracker. Obviously they don't have a proper pizza oven. I came for the live music anyway. The trio of Thai guys did great playing western rock and pop. Good singers and good players. I liked all the little fills by the drummer. They let tourists get up, and that's when I bid adieu as a fat guy sang a Santana song off his iPad. The other big turnoff is they allow smoking, which is disgusting in a restaurant. Some smokers stepped into the sidewalk because they know they're disgusting, but the stench still blows right in over the food.

Unfortunately our experience was not that good as we had read in the reviews. My boyfriend’s pizza came after I had received and eaten my pesto spaghetti. So we basically we ate without the other one. The pesto spaghetti was not worthy; even though the pesto taste was ok, it had a lot of coarse salt and an exceed of oil (too oily). The amount was ridiculously small (please see the photo). The bread piece was bigger than the amount of spaghetti… The tuna pizza was really good though. The dough was thing, like the italian pizzas and the taste was good.

This is one of the greatest all-rounder foods on Koh Chang, whether it is foreign or Thai food. The pizza comes with a great size for 1 person. Steak is one of the best on Koh Chnag. Spaghetti are good, but they break. Salad is also good. Calzone is ok. Crepes suzette is too sour, banana dish is ok.
Noninwasd BLiNKz — Google review
This is the most amazing live music venue. Absolutely fantastic quality of musicianship with many guest artists jumping in to play. Mr Oodie is a master guitar player wow, a must if you are in Koh Chang, can not rate it highly enough. Live sets from 9-1am.

Oodie’s is legendary on Koh Chang for live music and great atmosphere. The food is fitting for families and the staff is attentive and helpful. Shockingly bad food. I literally have no idea how this restaurant can be rated so highly. The food was not seasoned at all. We waited an hour and 10 minutes for the main course then one of our dishes arrived 30 minutes after that. They insisted we paid for the fish despite the fact we had finished and wanted to leave. They then insisted we pay cash. Honestly there are so many better options available, don't waste your time with this place

Greek restaurant
The restaurant El Greco Greek restaurant is known for its Mediterranean, European and Thai dishes as well as its cocktails. It also has an outdoor seating area that is perfect for a night out.
Top notch , best Greek food I have had in all of Thailand. Great food and very modest prices. Atmosphere was fantastic. Owner is on hand to meet and greet the guests. Wait staff is good. Can't say enough good things about this place . Highly recommend trying it out if you make it to Koh Chang. In the Klong Prao area❤❤

What a place! I absolutely love Greek food, growing up I spent every holiday in Greece and have been searching for the best place to eat authentic Greek food and I found it! Unreal! It's a shame they are so far away from Bangkok. Really looking forward to trying their other restaurant in Phuket. Food was delicious, the best gyros I've had ever. Egg plant dip was delicious, the hummus was also lovely and falafel which I'd never tried before.

If you are in Koh Chang this is a great restaurant for some hearty and flavorful food. Very hearty food and portions are perfect. The beef/ chicken Gyros are top notch with crispy French fries. Very cute and romantic atmosphere.

Great food and lovely staff. The food was super tasty. I especially loved the gyros plate. The bread that comes with it is fantastic. The portions are quite big so it would be possible to share. The price is definitely higher than for local food but absolutely adequate. Can recommend this place.

Wow, the food was just delicious. Highly recc the lamb gyro, Brownie, moussakas, bruschetta for desert! Best Greek I've had and so fresh too!!!

Great Greek restaurant in the center of the island. I always stop at El Greco when I come to Koh Chang. The food never disappoints. My favorite is the grilled feta. But the skewers and pitas are great too. This time I also tried the Octopus. Very delicious. Service is nice. It takes some time because the place is always busy. But you are on vacation 🤷‍♂️
Christian Breitkreutz — Google review
Best European food we have had in Thailand. Possibly the best Greek food I've ever had. If you are growing tired of the local Thai cuisine, do yourself a favor and go to El Greco! There are lots of Italian and American places on Koh Chang but none of them satisfy the American and European palate like El Greco. Everything was soooo delicious. Every dish we had was full of flavor and cooked by Greek hands with love. GO EAT THERE!
Claudia Margiotta — Google review
Wow this place blew me away. Authentic Greek food. Pitas are made fresh daily. The Gyro platter was amazing and so was everything else. Honestly better than some greek places in greece.
Darrell Roch — Google review
A really nice Greek restaurant in Thailand. It's a nice change after the days of Thai food. The octopus was delicious and very well cooked. The lamb gyros tasted great but for me it was a little bit dry. Nice and tasty cocktails.

A great restaurant to visit, with a nice interior and young, pleasant staff. If you like Greek food, this place is a must, and good to take with you when you visit Koh Chang. The choice fell on Lamb shank, which had done well in the pot for 8 hours before the final touch and serving. Tender and well eaten together with a glass of good red wine. Parking is available off-site at the entrance.

Nice place, service and food. Even people like me who usually has a strict and high standard wouldn't hesitate to give it a five stars rating. The atmosphere is very Greek, staff are friendly, food is tasty, and the price is fair, very fair. No service charge, no VAT. We ordered a lot and got full, very full. You shouldn't miss this restaurant if come to Koh Chang.

Nice place if you’re into authentic Greek food. Pita was fresh, chicken was very nice and tzatziki was delicious. Would definitely recommend!

This is a wonderful restaurant, we visit each time we holiday in Kho Chang. Staff are great and the food is authentic. Not cheap but worth it. We have 2 boys 9 and 10 and the staff engage them and they love it. Highly recommended
John Sykes — Google review
The pita bread here is absolutely fantastic; they reached the table hotter than anything I've had in Thailand, and they were light, fragrant, and tasted divine. We could have had nothing but the pita and would've been perfectly happy. But no, each dish outdid the previous dish. The margarita shaken at the table was the best and freshest we've had in Thailand, and the servers were very hospitable. Just come. It's the best Greek we've had in a long, long time. You won't be disappointed.

Cooking class
Kati Culinary is a Thai restaurant with excellent Thai food. It has a cozy atmosphere and friendly staffs. The prices are reasonable and the dishes are worth trying out. There are many choices of desserts, as well as a 4-hour Thai cooking class available for those who want to learn more about the cuisine.
I can't recommend this place enough. The food here is fantastic (and of course don't forget the homemade gelato!). Not only is everything delicious but the owner is wonderful! We were unfortunately in a scooter accident outside the restaurant and she went out of her way to help us. She even found a security camera video from a business across the street to help prove the accident wasn't our fault. We are so grateful for all her help and for feeding us ice cream to help speed up our recovery. Thank you again for everything :)
Lauren Brown — Google review
The food won't win any Instagram awards, but that's missing the point completely. The food here is for eating. The ingredients are fresh, and the cooking is spot on. All the basic Thai dishes we've had were done very well; the expected flavors were there but done to a higher standard. At a very reasonable price, too. The portions were very generous, so if you are used to Bangkok portions, order half what you are used to, and order more if needed. We were absolutely stuffed to the brim, but we're very happy. Don't forget to save room for their gelato!

Usually I avoid Thai restaurants frequented by tourists as they tend to be westernized and medicore but this is actually good and I will be back. I had duck curry which was good and plenty of meat. For desert mango sticky rice with ice cream. Both very good. Only comllaint would be tiny rice portion.

Very nice Thai restaurant with a creative twist. We were here a few times and were amazed by the pad kee maow (drunken) noodles. The Laab tuna and Panang curry were both good but a bit too sweet. They also make their own ice cream which was very tasty as well. Service is good and the food variety a bit different to the typical Thai dishes. They experiment a bit more with the ingredients. The place itself is very pretty.

Nice atmosphere, cozy with excellent Thai Authetic food. Highly recommend: Panang, Fried chicken with Lemon grass,Massaman. Lovely staffs.Price is reasonable, worth for. Many choices of dessert. Sticky rice mango with icecream, Adorable homemade icecream; ChocoMint is best. 4 hours Thai cuosine cooking class is available.

We found this place by accident, when looking for a place for dinner in Koh Chang. It was full of people (tourists) and we assumed it was good. The food turned out to be amazing, the price-quality relation even better, and the employees very friendly. We came back a second night in a row - and probably will be going there tomorrow! :) We didn’t do the culinary course but it sounds promising, given all this.

I can highly recommend cooking classes done by Asan - this was one of the best experiences ever. Great atmosphere, learned a lot not only about food but about customs. Cooked actually very good thai dishes and eat well. #kamilsealofapproval

A must visit restaurant On koh chang. Everything is just right here! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is just right. You fall in love with every single dish and you can feel how much love the owner has put into each one. Not only for meat lovers, because every dish can be chosen with tofu. A small recommendation: try the sticky rice with mango and take a visit on her YouTube channel "Kati Culinary" You will love it

The best restaurant on Koh Chang. No question. Ended up going here after we learned that the Blue Lagoon restaurant was closed for renovations and staffing issues, and we were recommended the place by the owner of Blue Lagoon. Showed up the day before our monthiversary, and were blown away by how good the food was. You are supposed to seat yourself after you enter the restaurant, by the way, and a menu is left out front of the building. The service here is... slow, but the food and vibe make up for it. Ordered the fried garlic pepper whole snapper (which is caught fresh daily) for a deal of 390 Baht. It was absolutely delicious, and a must-try. My girlfriend ordered the Panang curry for less than 300 Baht, and it was by far the best curry we had in either Bangkok or Koh Chang. Very nutty and super flavorful. We also ordered the mango sticky rice to split. It couldn't have been any better. We came back the next day because it was so good, and I ordered the tamarind snapper, which was sweet and slightly spicy, even better than the garlic pepper snapper. My girlfriend ordered the pepper snapper. We got drinks (good, not great), and a dessert of banana split, which comes with the split banana and a choice of 3 different coconut gelato (made fresh) which is great. Get the chocolate and caramel gelato. Regular coconut tastes odd. Very very good experience. You can't miss it.

We had dinner here and the food was amazing. We ordered 4 dishes for 2 people. We had such a good time, that we booked the cooking class for the following day. I can highly recommend taking the class and learning how to cook traditional thai food. Thank you so much for the unforgettable experience.

Very good restaurant. Lots of visitors and less local but nevertheless super tasty food! She recommanded the spring rolls and tiger prawns both super tasty. And maybe the dessert was even better! The home made salted caramel gelato on the bananas fritter was delicious. Besides all this the manager is perfect fluent in English what makes is easy to communicate. And she’s very kind and friendly.

Visited for dinner based on both reviews and a recommendation from a local driver. Food, staff and atmosphere were nice, but we felt nothing particularly out of the ordinary for Koh Chang.

We were there for their lemongrass fried chicken and some beers. The lemongrass chicken fried chicken recipe is well crafted and the presentation looks nice. The staff is very polite and helpful. The decor is pleasing to the eyes and the restaurant is overall clean. Though they have a full bar, it seems more like a comfortable family restaurant. Enjoyed my visit very much and will go back to either eat or learn some recipes in their culinary classes.

Porns # treehouse-style eatery offers genuine Thai cuisine such as gaeng pa (spicy jungle curry) and kung ob wun sen (prawns cooked with herbs and rice noodles), as well as a wide seafood selection and Western options. This well-established family business, which also provides bungalows, attracts customers from across the island with its delicious food, sunset vistas, and seafront decks.
Lovely little restaurant by the beach. This place is right next to Sylvan hotel. It is very charming and carries an old-style Thai atmosphere. Very chill and relaxed. You sit by or almost on the beach. The prices here are very fair and the view is amazing. Only thing: staff seem a bit stiff. They hardly ever smile! But they are still nice.

We were here in late March/early April and it is now reopen! Great food, amazing shaded location right on the beach, really relaxing atmosphere. Our favorite place to get away from the resort vibes that are around the area.

We had a very good lunch here after landing our kajak on the nearby beach. The red curry was quite good. The design of the space is really nice with all the woodwork and levels. The beer was served in a nice cold mug. Prices seemed quite reasonable for the level of quality. We would recommend it if you are in the area.

Jae Eaw Seafood is a popular seafood restaurant on Koh Chang island. The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable. Popular with local lunch crowd, the restaurant has ample parking in front of it.
A nice Thai seafood restaurant with reasonable prices. I love Tom Yum shrimp soup. The stir fried shrimps with chili and garlic are so nice.

This is a good value Thai seafood restaurant on the island. Popular with the local lunch crowd. We had the squid phat cha, phat pak chachet and glass noodles with shrimp, the size was good too. However, the oyster omelette had flour in it so tasted a bit hard and wierd. Food came out out fast and the service was good. There is parking in front of the restaurant.

Went here for Tom Yum Kung, crab fried rice and morning glory, basically 3 famous Thai dishes. Second time we had the same without the morning glory. So we tried it 2 times to have a good opinion. Disappointing. The morning glory was really bad: quickly fried in oyster sauce and too much garlic, the veggies got soft and no crunchiness. Shame on the cook! The soup was diluted, the flavours didn’t come together, it was just water with ingredients shortly boiled. The shrimps were overcooked and chewy. First time the crab fried rice was smokey (from the wok pan) and had a rich crab flavour, as it should be. Second time, it was just ordinary fried rice, hardly any crab meat. We complained about it and they tried again, but hardly any crab. Inconsistent taste, 1st and 2nd time. The restaurant itself is spacious along the road, good breeze. Staff is ok, but indifferent. We won’t come back here.

Absolutely worth to visit here, it's a really pop restaurant in koh chang, even you gotta wait at least 30-40mins for the serving, but it's absolutely worth after you taste the dishes. Even there are many customers, but the staffs do a good job to keep manner. Wonderful restaurant, they deserve 5 stars completely. Will visit again certainly.

It's a place which is easily overlooked by tourists, but the Thai nationals know where the good food is! Maybe you should just ask the staff to choose for you and be surprised! Excellent fresh crab and fresh prawns.

Local Thai seafood place. Ordinary in term of taste but the amount of food you get make it an extremely value meal. We got all five dishes in the images for approx thb800. The services were hit and miss when the restaurant was crowded. The staffs were friendly.

Decent local Thai restaurant but food is just average. Not sure if they see us as foreigners and make the tom yum soup sweet and not spicy, very much like Thai food in Singapore. I am disappointed that it’s not so authentic
