Tucked away from the busy and loud vibe of the other spots like Sabang or White Beach, Talipanan is a tranquil version of Puerto Galera where you can take a swim or take a stroll along the beach. If you are all for relaxation in a serene and breathtaking scenery then this should be a destination for you.

Tukuran Falls is a natural attraction located in the heart of the jungle. It boasts gentle cascades and areas suitable for swimming. The falls are surrounded by serene and beautiful surroundings, characterised by big rocks with unique features. Visitors can enjoy an enjoyable carabao ride, slowly traversing the river and lush trees along the way, before reaching the waterfall.
Nice waterfall and you can swim there, but the Summer is not the best time If the water is Low. Very friendly Guide and its nice to Go from the end of the street with a carabaou to the falls.

We went out here a little bit late, so we couldn't follow anyone and were a little lost to begin with. But actually just follow the river to the left after the village and you'll find it. We wanted to take the Ox cart, but couldn't do it because the condition of the ox. They put a rope through the nose and control it that way. It's an extreme pain for the ox. So we walked. It took about half an hour and it was beautiful. We met the women that works in the regrestri, she was on the way home. But she walked back with us to show us what is dangerous.. And she was really nice. The place is just beautiful.

25min walkable. We choose by our feet than to ride with carabao. Its fun trekking its easy just too hot by the time we are scorching and we pass by 5-6 rivers so if u walk wear shoe or sandals for water and trekking used. 50 pesos for entrance fee. water is clear and clean also there is small souvenir shop but pricey and if u want to eat u can may eat snack there they are selling food to eat , drinks cola and buko fresh

+ The guide and carabao drivers here are friendly and have a lot of stories to share. + The actual place is quite nice; the water is quite cool, and you can see monkeys among the trees. - It is not advisable to have pregnant women join the journey here (note that the guides won't warn you about this). - The carabao cart ride is very rough due to the rocky and muddy terrain to traverse, and the cart has very small leg room and can only accommodate at most 4 passengers. Prepare to have your behind hurting. - The terrain to climb has a lot of slippery and badly angled spots, so you need to be extremely careful.
Joeypencil — Google review
Great day out, well worth the trip. Went to Tameraw Falls first then here. If you have time, do both. If you can only do one, do Tukuran Falls. First you have to catch a Carabao cart (type of buffalo) to the falls which is fun. Then you get to talk to the falls and explore to rocks. The water is very fresh and fun to swim at the bottom of the falls. Take your own food and towels, nothing to buy there apart from small tourist gifts from the lovely ladies. Fun day out.

Experience nature at its finest. Ride a water Buffalo to get you to Tukuran falls crossing rivers and muddy roads. At the end of your trip you can have picnic at the falls or swim at its catch basin. They also have local shops selling souvenir items. Overall a unique experience.

This was a nice surprise! The walk to the falls are through river beds, taking about 15-20m. My 7 year daughter had a blast walking there. The falls are really pretty, you can swim in the large pools. I am pleased to say they are very clean. Worth the visit. (Take sunscreen)
Daniel Horan — Google review
Gorgeous spot. Walked an easy, flat 2 km from where we parked our scooters to the falls. Took us about 45 minutes. We took a dip in the first pool and then climbed the rocks for more privacy and great pools. It wasn’t busy. We paid 25 pesos for parking a scooter, and 50 pesos per person to enter the falls.
Michelle Tan — Google review
Not worth it-tourist trap. Long way to go from “parking” in village (river crossing with motorbike on your own risk). Lazy tourists using Carabao to transport them. Again a fee at the end to see just a stream… ok, super small fall as well. There are other more impressive waterfalls to visit.
Janis Vindedzis — Google review
Awesome waterfall! Very cool waters on a hot sunny day! Had a blast swimming under the waterfall and enjoying free back massage from the rushing falling waters! Serene and beautiful environs! Big rocks with character! Charming people ready to assist visitors on foot climbing the rocks and on waters on the way to the waterfall. Enjoyable carabao ride, slowly traversing the river and the lush trees and vegetation along the way!
Hilda Abril — Google review
It’s a wonderful place. From the parking lot you can walk through rivers and forests to get there in 20 minutes or you can take a buffalo ride which is a bit faster (costs 500 php). We walked and it was amazing.
Dorina Fülepp — Google review
First off you will not have cell service at the falls so google maps wont work for the walking portion. Once you reach the entrance you'll know by the crowd of people. I had 4 ladies with umbrellas offer there guide service and I delcined as I wanted a peaceful experience to myself. The walk back to the falls is a long one, 45+ minutes. There are 3 river crossing you won't be able to cross with a motorbike. At the entrance they do offer an OX cart ride round trip for (500 peso). The cart ride was rough but enjoyable. The guide service walked behind the cart all the way to the falls even though I didn't want a guide. I think the guide service is mainly for those who are going to make the trek to the falls. Once at the end of the ox cart ride, you'll walk 500 meters to the face of the falls. The Ox cart ride guy will wait for your return. I climbed the falls to the top and picked a nice pool of water to swim in. The ladies still followed offering to take photos for me but I declined. I crossed a more difficult rock section of the falls, and I was on one side of the falls and the ladies were on the other. I set my belongings down in sight and took a refreshing cool swim. After spending 30 minutes swimming the ladies finally left the other side of the falls and went back down because they could not reach me. On departure the ladies asked for a (25 peso) entry fee. I took the cart ride back to the entrance and the entrance people asked for a (25 peso) parking fee. I paid the ox cart dude the (500 peso) after he took me back to the parking area.

Tamaraw Falls

Waterfalls
Tamaraw Falls is a popular tourist attraction featuring man-made pools at the base where visitors can swim. This breathtaking waterfall is located along the highway and stands tall, offering an impressive sight to behold. The falls are easily accessible for those who don't want to swim, as they can still enjoy the view and take great photos without paying an entrance fee. The water flow may vary depending on the season, with summer being less heavy than other times of year.
Puerto Galera is one of my travel bucket list. The underwater cave is the most exciting part of our trip.., the water 💦 is cool you must wear aqua shoes because you will climb the rock before going to the cave. Next place we visit is the Tamaraw falls maybe because it's summer the waterfalls is not that heavy.
Heide Mahusay — Google review
Very accessible waterfalls in the Philippines. It's along the way to Puerto Galera from Calapan VV. Anyone can stop here to take photos and enjoy the views.

Nice place to stop by and take apicture. They also have a place at the lower part where uou can take a swim but its in the muddle of the road. Im not sure if there is parking
Sheila Cruz — Google review
One of the best things about Tamaraw Falls is its accessibility. The falls is located just a few minutes away from the main road, and visitors can easily reach it by car or motorcycle. The falls has ample parking space and a small entrance fee, making it a budget-friendly destination for families, couples, and solo travelers. There are picnic huts, tables, and chairs available for visitors who want to have a picnic or a snack. There are also food and souvenir vendors located near the entrance, offering local delicacies and products. The falls offers a refreshing escape from the heat and the city, and its natural beauty is simply breathtaking. If you're looking for a budget-friendly destination for a day trip, then Tamaraw Falls is definitely worth a visit..

No remarkable waterfall, beautiful located right by the road, easy to park. now there is not so much water due to a little rain dry period.

Along the highway. Nice falls. If you want to enter and swim, you need to go down and pay 30 pesos for adults, 15 pesos for kids. But if you don't want, you can still see the falls and take good pictures.

Must go place! Water is really cold perfect for summer. Food is actually cheap. Entrance fee is reasonable 50 per person.

Great place to take photos. Also a nice place to have coffee at the nearby sari sari store as the background gush of the waterfalls is very relaxing. You can also pay 50 pp to swim downstream. There are plenty of tour guides who are great at taking photos and cinematic videos for you at no charge (but deserve a tip)

Aninuan Beach

Mentioned on
Beach
Outdoor Activities
Aninuan Beach is a peaceful and tranquil sandy and pebbly beach in Puerto Galera, known for its breathtaking sunset views. Unlike the more popular White Beach, Aninuan offers a less crowded atmosphere with few tourists. However, there are limited options for food and drinks on the beach except for expensive choices at resort cafeterias. Overall, Aninuan is an excellent choice for those who seek relaxation away from the hustle-bustle of a typical touristy spot.
Beach quality is same as White Beach, but there's way less people, no restaurants around, and less pebbles on the beach. 10/10 would recommend going here. Not too far from the main road, maybe a 2 minute walk, but you can't bring a vehicle in. 5 minutes away from AV Suites reception area.
Cap'n Jace — Google review
Don't go in Puerto Galera if you don't dive. Aninuan Beach is ok but white beach is meeeeh (even restaurant there are superexpensive and not good). This area of Philippines is super expensive while there is nothing to do except diving, beaches are just meh. It really doesn't worst to spend time and money to go in Puerto Galera

Got lost finding the secret passage to this beach but definitely worth the trouble. This beach is perfect for relaxing because it's not crowded.
Maria — Google review
My heart was left here!!! I fell in love with this beach while we were here. It has less people and more peaceful. I couldn't help myself but stay longer and draw it. You must be careful if you want to swim here, especially if you are not experienced with swimming in huge waves. Also, getting here is a challenge if you don't know the secret passage. But I will give you a hint: pay attention to the bushy side of the road. You can find a small entrance, and that's it!
Stevensonnet Art — Google review
Fav beach in Puerto Galera.. nice sand few people and even good snorkeling
Marc Zwillinger — Google review
Among the other beaches in Puerto Galera, the one in Aninuan is the most serene and relaxing. The sand and water is better than the White Beach. It is not crowded, almost have no tourists. However, you cannot find stores and restaurants within the area aside from the cafeteria inside the resorts which offer expensive food choices. If you want to relax and chill, Aninuan is the place.
Joseph Ceazar Bacani — Google review
Awsome pace didn't know about it, I was planning to go to white beach in the evening but suddenly I got a thought why not try this beach and decided to go here. It did justice to my expectation. I say in the beach watching sun setting down making the whole horizon full of shades. If u like less crowded place then you must visit here.

Tamaraw Beach Resort

Tamaraw Beach Resort is a fantastic option for snorkeling enthusiasts, as it boasts the presence of two sea turtles. The resort's accommodations are pleasant and conveniently located near the port, making transportation effortless. Although the restaurant and food could benefit from significant improvement, it would be advantageous to have handicapped accessible rooms. Overall, Tamaraw Beach Resort offers a serene white beach getaway that ensures a peaceful experience away from large crowds. Additionally, their service is commendable.
TOOK MY BIG FAMILY OF 10 + 1 2 & 1/2 YEARS OLD GREAT GRANDSON TO CELEBRATE MY DAUGHTER'S 52nd BIRTHDAY. I HAVE NOTHING BUT TO PRAISE FROM THE PROPRIETOR, OVERALL GENERAL MANAGER, ALL THE STAFF FROM CATERING TO HOSPITALITY STAFF. WE WERE SOON PUT AT EASE AND OUR ROOMS WERE READY FOR AN EARLY CHECKIN TIME AS WE HAVE TO TAKE THE MIDNIGHT FAST CAT FROM BATANGAS PIER. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR COUPLES TO LARGE GROUP OF PEOPLE FOR REST AND RELATION, GROUP BONDING AND EVEN COMPANY MEETINGS AND CONFERENCES. YOU WILL CERTAINLY ENJOY EVERY MINUTE OF YOUR STAY - THIS I GUARANTEE. I/WE WILL CERTAINLY COME BACK AGAIN FOR CELEBRATORY GET TOGETHER. MANY THANKS TO ALL THE TEAM MEMBERS OF TAMARAW BEACH RESORT AND WISH YOU MORE SUCCESS AND GOODWILL IN THE FUTURE.

The place is good, reception ambiance is cozy, overall the place looks clean and tidy. Room and facilities are need and well maintained. Cons: Infinity pool is a little bit dirty from sand, children's full are also filled with sands and not being filtered. The low tide beach are full of ruffles and marble rocks. There are no staff beyond 7pm. Guests are able to do anything like drinking session, play loud music and smoke/vape all over the pool area. You are not able to relax when the night falls instead of enjoying quiet nights during your stay. There should be a personnel or staff to maintain peaceful ambience especially near guest rooms and apartment. We also asked the staff to fix something and they are not really responding right away and you need to follow up from time to time. Final verdict... If you want to go there for an experienced yes you may but for me it would only be a one-time experience, i would rather go to white beach lodging, rather than having a high expectation on this place.
Aris Villanueva — Google review
Overall, my stay at the beach resort was pleasant, but there were some drawbacks, particularly at bedtime due to the thin walls that allowed noise from other rooms and the hallway to be heard easily. It's a very family-oriented place, so if you're looking for a quiet retreat, it might not be ideal unless you're with a family group. The food was decent and reasonably priced. The beach area was well-maintained, and the small pool served its purpose for cooling off. However, the facilities appeared quite worn, although efforts were made to keep them clean and functional. It's evident that the resort is an older structure in need of renovations and updates to enhance its appearance. Nonetheless, the scenery and tranquility, especially for a few relaxing days by the sea, were sufficient. They offer various excursion packages, including diving trips. There's a tricycle stop and a snack kiosk right outside the resort for convenience.

Fred (astec) — Google review
Place is good. Rooms are clean. Staff seems to change on approaching guests. I am a returning guest for years and normally they are really nice and accomodating. Not sure if its because we were all Filipinos and no foreigners with us this time. We sat in the pool area hoping we could order something and none of the staff assisted us. They even tried to insist that we should pay as we order tho I normally have it charged in my room and pay everything upon check out. One of the staff said that it was the instruction of the management. It was kinda off in my side. In general, it is still a good place to stay and hopefully they will apply the better customer service they used to have.

Bueatiful resort but the restaurant and food could use a big upgrade. Also should have handicapped accessible rooms. Over all still a very nice place will visit again.
Thomas Oliver — Google review
I’ve stayed twice and really love it. Rooms are comfortable and the pool and pool deck are fantastic. Two concerns: The beach furniture is in disrepair, and the kitchen really overcooks meat, especially fish. But the Tamaraw rice is fantastic!

If you like snorkeling, there are 2 sea turtles at Tamaraw Resort lurking around at the beach. Rooms are nice and the location is quite near from the port. I would recommend if you'll rent a motorcycle for your stay to make it easy transport.
carloman barasi — Google review
I last stayed here in 1989 and of course lots of things have changed, but the beautiful location and relaxed atmosphere are the same. The room was very large with private bathroom and a/c and very reasonably priced. I did walk to White Beach, which is very over-developed, and was really pleased to go back to Tamaraw.
Miguel Evans — Google review
Visited during off-peak. They're currently constructing new villas atm but the existing amenities are more than enough. Rooms aren't new but well maintained. White sand and peaceful place. Relaxing. The staff are friendly and the parking is good. Note: place is not well lit during the evening. It would be better if the management would install night lights/accent light/mood lights specially on the pool deck

I want to express my disappointment with my bad experience at Papa Fred's Steakhouse. My friends and I around 20 something people visited the restaurant on last week. However, what began as an exciting dining experience turned into a nightmare. The waitresses and cook not only displayed extremely poor service attitudes, but also argued with us in a rough manner when we requested to turn off the fan. Their language was foul and disrespectful. Even when we explained that we were feeling quite uncomfortable by the strong wind blowing towards our table, they didn't pay heed and instead used derogatory language. To add to this difficulty, we waited for over an hour for our food to arrive. We were all quite hungry as we had spent the day diving, and the quality of food that arrived was not up to our expectations. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction and recommend that you provide additional training for your staff on customer service and communication, as well as ensure food quality meets customer expectations. I believe that these improvements could greatly enhance the overall dining experience for customers and attract repeat customers, which will ultimately help your business. I hope that we can work together to rectify these issues and look forward to hearing from the management on the same.

Nice rooms but the places has a few fundamental issues. • Took one start away for it taking a pretty far walk to actually get to the hotel because it can only be accessed from the beach and has No wheelchair access. • Took one star for the price in relation to amenities. Our suites hottub didn’t work well and the rooms could use some updating it was pricey for what we received and the location. Everything else: Great super accommodating staff, the best complimentary breakfast I’ve ever had, away from 5-7 walk away from Sabang but you still have to walk through it to actually go places which may make for some awkward conversations if you’re taking kids but for just a quick couple getaway it’s nice.

Hotel is great, but beach is not. We stayed for a long weekend - the accommodations were very clean, the staff was extremely friendly and the food is definitely above average for the Philippines. If you're a diver, I would highly recommend this place. If you're just looking for a beach vacation, be warned that at high tide there really isn't a beach (along the whole beachfront, not just this hotel), and it is crammed with dive boats. The beach was a big disappointment for us (and our kids) - no place to play, no place to safely access the water, etc. Summary: Hotel is excellent and I highly recommend if you're planning to dive; but I don't recommend for a family beach getaway.

I have been going to Puerto Galera since 2001. In my more recent stays there, I have booked myself into the Resort - Out of the Blue. The quality of the accommodation has always been top notch. I thought it could not get any better, however, with my recent visit I noted that the management have completely upgraded the menu and the running of their restaurant- the Verandah. The food and choices were always pretty good, but now with their new menu and overall changes with cooking techniques, it must be the best Resort restaurant in the Philippines. Big congrats to the team, I will certainly return! Of course the accommodations remain first class- always makes for a most pleasant tropical escape

Went here due to the nice reviews, was dissapointed. Took us about 5 minutes to be seated, on a not full restaurant. When we were finally noticed and seated, the table was dirty. We had to get the menu ourselves. Asked for WiFi, and was given access 20 minutes after asking multiple times. This was only given when the food showed up. Ordered Sirloin Steak medium rare, came out well done which made it dry. Rissoto was good, clam chowder needed salt, Thai salad was good. Mango sobet was good.

A cozy restaurant with ocean view. Food is a bit pricy, but a lot of items are good for sharing. The burger cordon bleu and curry wurst we ordered were good, but the seafood medley needed a little more flavor. Staff is welcoming. There are cute cats in the restaurant too!

Love the chill vibe and food. I liked to get a lunch here on a sunny day. Must visit when staying on White Beach.

Food was great, service was extremely good, food came out within 10mins. Ask if we wanted all the food at the sametime. Which was great. Lots of times the food comes out in stages. Drives me crazy. Here it was perfect. Place was very clean. The owner came out and ask how is everything, said everything was great thank you. I had seafood pizza loved it, girlfriend had tuna and salad. She love it also.

Classy. Place is just so relaxing and quiet. It is located along white beach. The staff are nice and very friendly. Service is good as well as the food and drinks. This place is so underrated and people need to hear more of this place. The pizza is heavenly good and you have to be careful on their cocktail drinks. It may sound like a normal drink but you'll feel the kick after a glass or two. They serve a lot of different cuisine. Must try!

The food was great. Pizza was perfect, pasta was al dente and the seafoods were fresh. Cheaper than the other italian place in the island. Fast service and clean place,

Superb service and food. Celebrated birthday dinner with our 4yr old daughter and asked if they had a candle for her to blow on a slice of cake, which they had. And even played a HBD song over the speakers which everyone heard and clapped after she blows her cake. Definitely made her bday extra special

Excellent restaurant on the right side of white beach. Mature vibe, friendly, relaxed, elegant but understated. Came here for a relaxed birthday dinner, and this place did not disappoint; both the food and service was absolutely excellent! 👌 Perfect for those who prefer calm and a quiet spot for lunch or dinner. It's a shame I discovered this place the night before I left. Hope to be back soon!

Best resto along the White Beach. Consider engaging with their waiting staff esp Hazel, while waiting for your food (being prepared by their Swiss Chef who is also its owner)

The place is absolutely perfect. Atmosphere, food, and service are all A+. We ordered their seafood medley and chili crab which were fresh and seasoned well into the meat. But don't worry, the crab wasn't spicy and the seafood medley had a lot of shrimp, squid and mussels. As for dessert, we had ordered the banana split which was okay. By the beach, good music, great service, you'll love how they all add up to make the best atmosphere. Our compliments to the chef.

Food is the best we had in the island 👍🏻 We ordered the seafood medly with the most amazing sauce ❤, pasta and pizza were the best 👌🏻, and the bratwurst platter was delish 😋 Staff were friendly, kind and polite. The service was surprisingly fast without compromising the quality of the food. The place was cozy giving the perfect island vibe 🏖 Love this place ❤

Restaurant
Luca's Cucina Italiana & Lodge is a well-liked Italian eatery that offers stunning vistas of Talipanan Beach. Delight in the popular pizza or choose from their assortment of pasta dishes, ranging from simple aglio olio to pesto alla genovese, bolognese, or marina. Their menu also includes an array of seafood options, cheese selections, and sandwiches. The coffee is highly enjoyable, and the pizzas are sizeable.
We've been twice and particularly love their pizza! Delicious thin and crispy crust with generous toppings. The pasta is also great, with large portions and tasty toppings, also very good vegetarian options. Also has very friendly service and a great location, situated on a beach. Note there is a steep hill to walk down to get to it as tricycles struggle to get back up and prefer to drop you off at the top. It's going to be our regular place for special lunches and dinners while we stay on Mindoro!

Decent food in front of a beautiful beach. The pizza dough needs a bit more salt but otherwise well prepared. Quite difficult to reach but it has a large parking.

It was my favorite place in Mindoro when I had been living in the Philippines for almost 4 years. Had come here with all my friends, parents, we were always amazed by thin crepes and cheesy pizza. But now crepes are like big thick pancakes and I was absolutely disappointed. Anyway the place is cute, I have met people who still remember me and it was so sweet.

The coffee was very delicious and the pizza was good and very xl large . The tomato salad was just tomato and union . It's a little bit far away from everything . We where there in the evening and it was a bit cold and very windy . I've bin there 4 years ago and now the beach almost gone ....

We always come for lunch when we are in the area. Pizza are good and huge, and pasta marinara is very nice and big! Prices are are very reasonable. And the restaurant sits right on the best beach in the area. They have a free kayak and sunchairs! Very nice place!

This place used to be in of the best kept secrets in the Philippines with access only possible via boat. These days there's a road in, but it doesn't detract from the feeling that you've come across a hidden gem. I've eaten at many an Italian restaurant, quite a few of them in Italy. The quality of the food here is exceptional. Local seafood delicacies feature in the menu and they are a highlight. Only in places like the Philippines can you find food that would cost you $30-40 per dish back home, served up for as little as $5. The low price isn't an indication of low quality, just a reflection of the local economy. If you ever get the chance, visit this place and you can take a dip in the crystal clear ocean before, after or even between courses! You will be glad you came.

Currently owned and managed by Madame Rose. In my opinion, it’s the best pizza in Philippines. Tasty dough, thin-crust, with an unforgettable aroma, brings to your mind scents from Italy.

For an authentic taste of Thai cuisine in Sabang, visit Relax Thai Restaurant. Although it may not have a beachfront location, the restaurant is easily accessible by land within the area. It is a popular eatery known for its specialties such as Jok, a unique type of rice porridge that is highly recommended for breakfast. They also offer dishes like Massaman Curry and Gai Pad King.
The food is absolutely delicious! Since we went there the first evening, we went back there every followings. We haven’t been disappointed by any dish we ordered . The staff is also very nice and friendly.

Locations is near the pub street and you need to go thru a small narrow allay. Recommended by a friend to come here for authentic Filipino cuisine. The Sizzler is a must-try. Appetizer shrimp salad is very tasty but portion is a little bit small -- only 3 shrimps 😅 the atmosphere is great, owner is very welcoming.

Siehe Foto Für mich definitiv ein place to be in sabang. (Translated by Google) I have rarely been so impressed by a restaurant. The restaurant is simply top and fully recommended! It's a somewhat simpler restaurant completely hidden in a side street. If you're looking for chic, you're not in good hands here. However, the restaurant is characterized by exceptionally delicious food and top service. I wouldn't be surprised if this restaurant appears in books by restaurant reviewers. Tip: Be sure to not only look at the menu, but also ask for the daily recommendation. See photo Definitely a place to be in Sabang for me.

Einmalig sag ich euch (Translated by Google) In my opinion, the cuisine at Relax is the best in the city, perhaps even on the island. Always fresh, always delicious. 6 Sterne! (Translated by Google) Honestly… it was so incredibly unique. It wasn't just eating out, it was an experience. Not only do you get there and the owner greets you with euphoria, but also that you can spend the entire meal with your partner just talking about how good the food tastes. It was the first time I ate really good Filipino food and since today I love it. If you want to go out to eat once and look back and say, this is what made my vacation what it was, this is the place for you! 6 stars!

Hands down the best food we had in Puerto Galera. The reviews are legit! You gotta eat here! You have to walk through basically the red light district to get here, but once you pass all that it's tucked away in a cozy corner. The restaurant had great vibes and the staff were super friendly, gave us great food recommendations and the food was top notch. You won't be disappointed!
