Kayangan Lake

Bodies of Water
Kayangan Lake is a beautiful mountain lake in the Philippines that has become famous for its clear waters and stunning views. The lake can be reached by climbing 100+ concrete steps, and is considered to be the cleanest lake in the Philippines and in Asia.
The place is an overall attraction that includes a bit of stair climbing. 2 main attractions are the side photobooth on the first half of the trail while the lake is on the end. Lake itself is wonderful and is a must visit place. Good place to swim and snorkel. It was a bit crowded when we were there. I'd say that I have appreciated the entrance of the attraction due to the beautiful scenery and make sure not to lag behind the schedule so you don't inconvenience other tour mates. Also make sure to have a prepared pose on the side booth for photo and not to overstay on the lake just for others to enjoy as well.

One of my best lifetime experiences. One of the purest and clearest sea water from entire world. The lake has sweet water, unusually clear and warm, despite of its neighbourhood. The perspective from above is breathtaking. Worth all the effort to be there, a unique natural heritage spot.

We are so lucky travelling to Coron, Palwan and visiting Kayangan Lake this pandemic year 2022.. it is indeed an amazing journey tavelling from riding boat and trekking almost 400 steps upstream and downstream. This is out second visir to kayangan luckily tha LGU’s of Coron kept this Place so clean and beautiful.
LC Basilonia — Google review
Definitely nice view from the waypoint half the way. The lake itself is okay. Just a lake in the hills :D Most of the beaches are more interesting and have nicer colors. Only did snorkeling and it was little clouded day.

I recently had the privilege of visiting Kayangan Lake, and it's undeniably one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. The pristine waters are so clear; it feels like you're swimming in a natural aquarium. Now, a word of advice - the journey to get there involves a bit of a workout with some steep stairs. It might not be suitable for those with disabilities or the elderly. However, I can assure you, the breathtaking view and serene waters make every step worth it!

We visited Kanyagan Lake with a boattour. You start at the other side of the mountain with a dock, there are lots of other tourist boats here and a few shops where you can buy snacks and even freshly cut coconuts. There’s also a toilet available. After climbing the steps up the mountain you go down towards the lake, this only takes about 7 minutes. Here, you can jump from the dock into the cleanest lake in The Philippines. The native people that inhabit Coron Island even believe it is sacred. When swimming it is mandatory to wear a life vest, if you bring your snorkelling gear you can see the impressive rock formations in the water. The tour usually stays in the more shallow area of 8-10 metres. Certainly a must-visit when in Coron!

Wonderful! Its a bit of a walk until you get to the lake but it is worth it :) beauuuutiful. Very calmung surrounding. You can see until the ground through the crystal clear water.
Simona Urban — Google review
Great view, clear water, lots of mosquitoes, not many fish, good for a swim. Very crowded if you're in a group. I would suggest a private tour goes there early
Edward Hwang — Google review
You need to climb to get to the viewdeck and to get to the lake. The beauty of nature is magnificent, the water there is warm and lot of tourists may come and go.
Alexander Ezekile Cardona — Google review
Just a lake, beaches are more interesting. If you accompany elderly people. I bet most of them cannot go upstairs. But the view below was amazing and relaxing. Great for sight seeing. There are few food shops also
Angel Flores — Google review
The stunning scenery here is well worth the climb up a set of stairs. Following the staircase will lead you to a lake, underneath which lies a majestic natural landscape. Don't forget to capture it on video; replaying it later will still evoke a sense of awe. The warm lake water is not too salty, providing a serene spot to lie back, relax, and rejuvenate before you embark on your next adventure.
Ellen Chuang — Google review
Nice view! Not recommended for the elderly tho since you need to climb up and down the stairs to see this. There's a long line just to capture this view on top however you can just opt to swim immediately.
Zoetic Zel — Google review
One of my favourite places in Coron. The view from the top is breathtaking. You can literally relax just by enjoying the view; however, you might have to wait in a queue to take a picture of this famous spot. And time is limited! Not the most comfortable scenario, but it is worth waiting. The lake is large and seeing the mountains in the background is super enjoyable. There are also a couple of stalls with fruits and souvenirs you can buy before leaving. Be aware if you travel with elderly people or children, there's a couple of stairs you need to go through in order to reach the lake.
André Martins — Google review
It’s the first stop of our ultimate tour. We’re so lucky that at least one stop with a sunny sky. Many people were waiting for taking photos at the peak view so we went to the lake first. The color of the lake is stunning beautiful, even there’s no fish under the lake. It started raining while we waited for taking pictures at the peak during 20-30 minutes.
Vita Dolce La — Google review
Before you get soaked, you’ll have to use those legs for a little climb. On top, a breathtaking view of the lake will surprise you. There’s usually a queue for tourists who want to take their photo with the lake as the background. For this reason, I highly advise going here early. This is part of the Super Ultimate Coron tour.

The Coron Underwater Garden Resort is a beautiful and pet-friendly resort that offers guests bright and airy rooms with stunning views of the sea, mountains or pool. There's also a vast water park with plenty of fun activities for all ages, making this an ideal place to relax and enjoy some unforgettable family moments.
My Wife and I, her sister, and her husband stayed here for a week in November of 2016 and loved the place! We thought that cleanliness was excellent, and the cooking was very authentic and priced competitive. The environment was very safe, inviting, and relaxing. We're most likely to go here again. It's just a short boat ride to Coron, so you can have multiple tours available. The hot springs were fantastic, and the island/reef/lagoon hopping is a must do also. I'm looking forward to our return.

This place is a hidden paradise. I was there two times, both over romantic. Not many people. Very private. A different space just for few people. No sounds of motors and people, just sounds of nature. Away from the town on a separate island, but if You want to get to the town You can get a boat any time, just 15 minute ride and You are back into the town. Baquit island is a place You don't want to leave. When I remember this place my eyes get wet, because I always will miss it and I will come back again. I want to shout out to all the staff members from Coron Underwater Garden Resort. They are the best! The kindest and most beautiful of all the Filipinos.

Whether you're seeking a relaxing island getaway, an adventure-filled vacation, or simply a place to unwind and rejuvenate, The Island Hotels is the perfect choice. From the attentive and friendly staff to the stunning location and simple well-designed facilities, highly recommended

we stayed in Coron Underwater Garden Resort from 4-7 December, it was one of the loveliest places I ever visited. it's on a small island surrounded my mangroves and crystal clear water about 10 minutes by boat from Coron town. our room was on stilts over the water with incredible views all around. the staff are all lovely, big shout out to Jericho and Liezel at front desk in particular. kayaks are available and they can organise many local tours. I loved the pool and pavilion. a minor critique is the limited food menu but the town is not too far. all in, I loved my stay and will definitely return. thanks to all there!
LuisPBE — Google review
The staff are very accommodating and of excellent service. They attended to our needs very well. I'd recommend it those who are in for having a nice morning or looking forward to beautiful sunset. However, I would advise others who are not comfortable with boat travel or with advanced age having difficulty walking or moving around as riding in boats and in the transfer from boat to docking area makes it difficult for them. Also, if you are planning to stroll around town late at night, their boat has a final schedule going back only until around 6 or 7 pm

This place calls itself a resort, but lacks all the amenities of a resort. Do not go here. You have to eat dinner at their place, but the food is terrible. We had noodles which were extremely oily and severely undercooked pizza as thin as a cracker that we had to pay 10 euros for. The pool had not been cleaned, the hot water stopped working in our room and they would not offer us a different shower. The whole place looks run down in general. There was no working wifi, but also no service at the resort. Lower your expectations if you do want to go here. On the positive side: our room had a balcony where we could have our really expensive breakfast. (Breakfast was supposed to be included but that ended up being 1 piece of toast with egg or 1 american pancake)

My recent stay at Coron Underwater Garden Resort was an unforgettable experience that left me feeling completely rejuvenated and refreshed. From the moment I set foot on the property, I was captivated by the resort's enchanting charm and the breathtaking beauty of its surroundings. The check-in process was efficient and welcoming, setting the tone for the warm hospitality I would experience throughout my stay. The resort staff exuded genuine warmth and attentiveness, making me feel like a valued guest from the very beginning. The accommodations at Coron Underwater Garden Resort were nothing short of spectacular. My room offered a mesmerizing view of the shimmering ocean, and the gentle sound of waves crashing against the shore lulled me into a state of tranquility each evening. The room itself was elegantly furnished, with every modern amenity I could desire for a comfortable stay. The resort's grounds were a tropical paradise, meticulously maintained with lush gardens, swaying palm trees, and vibrant flowers. It was a pleasure to stroll along the well-kept pathways and immerse myself in the natural beauty that surrounded me. One of the highlights of my stay was the resort's private beach. The soft, powdery sand and crystal-clear waters beckoned me to relax under the sun or take a leisurely swim. I also appreciated the availability of beach umbrellas and loungers, ensuring that every moment by the water was as comfortable as possible. Coron Underwater Garden Resort also excelled in its culinary offerings. The on-site restaurants served a delectable range of cuisines, each dish prepared with utmost care and flair. Whether I indulged in fresh seafood, savoring local specialties, or tried international favorites, each meal was a delightful journey of flavors.

Staying here in Underwater Coron is a nice experience. It is such a really great working space. Well, for me because I was working at night and the internet service is still great specially in the pavilion area. That was my spot for a week of staying there and working remotely. Plus, I got to listen to baby stingrays swimming and jumping out of the water!!! That was really awesome! 😍The place is serene and calm. I'm surrounded by water! How awesome is that? The only thing I wish is different is the food service. The food is not that good and it takes long enough to wait. They also don't have water sports. Though it's located near water, there's really not much going on when it comes to activities. It'll be so much better if they do have at least some water activities around their area. But overall, our stay there is great!
Jessel Beredo — Google review
Our stay at Coron Underwater Garden Resort was a mixed bag. The location was fantastic, offering great sea views from the deck. The staff, especially Christian, were very helpful and proactive. While the pool was a nice feature, it seemed a bit neglected. The breakfast portions were surprisingly small, and the absence of unlimited coffee or refreshments was disappointing. The restaurant's early closure at 9 pm felt inconvenient, especially on an island where alternatives are limited, and the shuttle to town shuts after 7:30. The facilities left much to be desired, appearing dated and poorly maintained. The prevalence of insects, spiders, and spiderwebs in the rooms, though somewhat expected in the Philippines, was a bit overwhelming. The bathrooms, particularly in 2-4 person rooms, were uncomfortably small. Despite these issues, the manager's personal touch during our arrival and departure created a positive connection. Overall, Coron Underwater Garden Resort has potential, but improvements in facilities, dining options, and pest control would significantly enhance the guest experience.

This place is amazing. They have a saltwater infinity pool and a regular treated freshwater infinity pool. The rooms are facing the sea and it's absolutely beautiful in the sunrise and sunset settings. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. Everyone did their best to make sure i was enjoying my stay and often gave suggestions on how we could enjoy the resort more (a great example was they asked me if i wanted to have breakfast at the gazebo instead of the restaurant, and they brought all our food there). I would definitely come back and i recommend this resort to everyone.

Coron Underwater resort has a lot of potential but due to ownership / management there are several things that are not being done. There are no amenities for entertainment and their menu was horrible because a lot of things they are no longer available. This place calls themselves a resort and there are no refrigerators in the room with beverages nor resort like effects. Other resorts have welcomed us with iced tea and escorted us to our rooms.
Joshua Acosta — Google review
RECONSIDER YOUR STAY HERE! Please read before booking. The staff here were great however management is the real issue. We booked the over water bungalow and only upon arrival was not told that it was under maintenance. We were issued a different room (even though we had already paid for the bungalow). It was only when we questioned our booking did they tell us. We later saw a couple move rooms to an over water bungalow that was supposedly under construction. Which was infuriating to see. The resort has a transfer boat to and from the island to the mainlands with great boat crew. The boat only goes to and fro a handful of times between 8am and 5:30pm so if you want to eat out anytime after 4pm, you cannot. They have set it up so you must eat dinner and breakfast at the resort. Especially if you do any island hopping tours or diving the tours begin at 8:30 and end at 5:30 meaning you are forced to take the first and last boats leaving you no time to eat out or collect food/drinks to bring back to the resort. The kitchen at the resort has a very limited menu. Forget being vegetarian or vegan. And of the limited menu, IF the food is available (quite often what you want is unavailable) it’s not great quality and costs over double what it would on the mainland. And don’t forget the 10% surcharge added to all items. Costing roughly 800 peso (880 with surcharge) per meal. If you order a cocktail don’t expect to get what you ordered. A pina colada is a bit of green cordial with some form of alcohol. Breakfast was included for us. However of the fewer than ten options to order from, more than four of them were unavailable. The egg meals come with one egg and you must pay extra per egg. The coffee is shockingly watery too. Again no vegetarian or vegan options. Not even Pescatarian either. If you’re hoping to snorkel or swim around the resort then don’t. It’s full of deadly box jellyfish from the mangrove and sea urchins. The pool was the best part of the resort. And the room we did get wasn’t half bad either. This resort has great potential however it was a massive let down for us. Again, the staff were wonderful so it’s disappointing to have to write this negative review. Plus no wifi in the bedrooms. Only common areas if it’s working.

The resort is located on a island near Coron town proper, just 10mins by boat, hotel provides free boat shuttle. Hotel is newly renovated, have different types of room, very clean and comfortable, complete with slippers and toothbrush, have water and 24 hours Aircon. WiFi networks is great because of using satellite link. Staff is friendly and approachable, Free breakfast and the taste is good. Also have bar. Place is great for relaxing, very quiet and big size enough for family vacation or party. Function room and family room also available. Very friendly resort with reasonable price.

I recently stayed at Coron Underwater Garden Resort and was thoroughly disappointed with my experience. Despite promises of a 50% refund due to the substandard room conditions, the resort management has been completely unresponsive. Agoda, the booking platform, has also been useless in helping me secure the refund. It's incredibly frustrating to feel like I'm going in circles, with no resolution in sight. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this resort at all costs.

READ BEFORE BOOKING HERE Me and my wife stayed for3 nights and our first night we booked the solo bongglo room and found out they gave us a room joined to another room so we told them they apologized and we would get it the next night the room we originally booked. So we got back from our first day and was told we could not get the room even though they told us it was available the night before they gave it to a new guest that just checked it. The first night my wife see a cockroach in the bathroom by our toothbrush. She through them away. Our first dinner we found out that they charge 3× the price for food then anywhere else with a 10% service charge. And service was terrible food. My chicken was not cooked all the way. So I will never go there again and want everyone to be aware of the lack of customer service they have. I have never in my life did a review of any kind but this was such a bad experience I had to do it. Thanks

Where to start....be careful of false promises Firstly Isabella and Christian were lovely friendly staff who go out for their way to ensure you enjoy your stay. However despite advertising the following on numerous accommodation websites including their own direct one, none fo the following exist: 1) tea and coffee facilities in the room - non existent 2) private beach - removed over 3 yrs ago but still advertised 3) free shuttles to the main town of coron - they exist, there is a charge, and they are limited first is 8am, last 7.30pm 4) no badminton court - yes they say it's offered 5) no fishing- again, advertised 6)free watersports - kayaks are a charge as are snorkelling equipment when they have it. 7) games room is boggle and books in reception 8) only a single small pool - beware rooms with direct pool access have empty pools outside of them. 9) lounge area - there are a total of 3 sunbeds and 4 chairs at the pool area which at best is 10m2. So a tight squeeze with more than one room present. 10) no other social areas, as you can't walk or leave the premises and there are no other relaxing spaces on the island within the resort 11) no housekeeping- despite telling us it was daily, no one came to our room to replace towels or top up toilet paper or replace drinking water once. And no we didn't leave a do not disturb sign outside. 12) no manager or supervisor to discuss any challenges with. No one wants to take responsibility for anything. But are happy to charge you for everything. Cancellation fee is 60% when they say on the website it's only 15%. If you'd like a room far away from town without easy access. A relaxing boat ride and don't mind a busy pool without walking far, then it is nice. However if you'd like to explore or venture around the area, stay somewhere else. When we realised the activities and facilities were not as advertised, we requested to leave 1 night early to find them elsewhere, and were told we would still have to pay the full price for the final night. No Manager or supervisor ever came to speak to us directly in 3 days, and we had to chase constantly to get a result and leave early which was very stressful, and far from the relaxing escape we had hoped for. Also if you are female beware of attracting unwanted attention from shareholders staying there despite trying to keep to yourself and stating you are not single. The general staff are lovely, and friendly. And the pool is nice, although a little small. But on the whole an experience I'd never do again for the price charged. There are nicer more spacious places in town that are cheaper or similar.

It was a really great stay. They provided transfer to and from the airport which made it easy to go there, the place is in its own island, very serene and relaxing. Given that, they provide a boat transfer from the main land to the resort which was very convenient. The staff are very nice and attentive, they helped booking a tour around the islands in Coron which is a good decision. Touring the different islands is a must when in there. The room was adequate, we stayed in one of the floating vilas. It was a unique experience. The bed was comfortable enough, amenities were provided. The air conditioning was also good. Since the place is away from town, we ate a lot in their in-house restaurant. The food were great and always freshly cooked. There’s also free breakfast, they’ll cook your chosen meal after ordering. All in all, it was a great stay and will stay here again. If you want peace and quiet, this is definitely the place.

Nicest hotel and accommodations that I've ever experienced, and I have been to a lot of them. Some where I stayed presidents of the USA! It is very serene and relaxing. I caught a couple of Barracuda from the pier, which was exciting! The restaurant manager, " Christian," helped me mount the head and prepared the 2 footer for us to eat that evening flanked by 2 Sea Mantis shrimp, which were delicious!

Interesting pick this time!! This stay requires a boat to get to this place, and I love it! I have traveled high and low to finally get to a place like this. Somewhat remote simply because it requires a boat for the final leg to get here. The room I have is excellent and right on the water and actually overhangs the water like a few post cards I kept saying I wanted to see! Well, here it is. Excellent staff, great service, and I am writing this while sitting at happy hour eating dinner! Post card perfect and the only disappointment I have is I didn't plan it better to stay longer!!

Barracuda Lake

Bodies of Water
Barracuda Lake is a swimming spot with varying water temperatures that makes it popular with divers. The lake is home to a few marine life, but it's mainly known for its diving opportunities. Divers can experience thermocline, a layer of water between a warmer water above and cooler water below.
Barracuda Lake is located at the north shore of Coron Island in the Philippines. This location offers one of the most awesome diving experiences in the world. Occasionally referred to as Luluyuan Lake by locals, its crystal blue waters hidden between majestic rocky formations does not actually have barracudas and other wildlife. Instead, divers can experience a thermocline and halocline unlike anywhere else. Starting out on the surface of the lake, divers, swimmers, and scuba enthusiasts can expect temperatures around 82 degrees Fahrenheit. But as you descend into the depths of the lake, around 45 to 50 feet down, the temperature drastically changes to just over 100 degrees Fahrenheit (to put that in perspective, most people keep their hot tubs at 104 degrees, so it’s best to forego a wetsuit here).
Adrielle Ortiz — Google review
This is a unique lake in Coron. Due to different salinities the temperature of the water changes quickly depending on the depth you are swimming. This makes the lake ideal for freediving. When at the surface you get an eerie feeling when looking at the limestone formations disappearing in the depths. Fortunately, the lake is only inhabited by barracuda who are not dangerous for humans (although they are not seen very often) and small bottom feeder fish. If you do a boat tour this lake is worth a visit!

Gorgeous lake! It’s so warm. Great for free diving so make sure you rent some flippers! Known for a huge barracuda in there but apparently friendly. A few aggressive little fish that bite you!
Danielle Sheehan — Google review
It’s great when you come with your goggles or snorkel to see the rock formations under the water. Sometimes it can get crowded because many divers come to see the Barracuda fish. The water is warm and the scenery is relaxing.
Carl Lim — Google review
In Coron, Barracuda Lake is known for its diving site, where you can find bones of fish on the shoreline. Salt and freshwater, which is the optimum temperature to dive in, are accompanied by blue lakes and scenery. A normal island-hopping excursion in Coron also includes a visit to Barracuda Lake. Before you reach the pier, you'll observe limestone cliffs towering above the ocean as you take a boat ride to the lake. It's amongst the most magical experiences you'll have on your Coron tour. Before jumping into the blue waves, take a lot of pictures and movies. Bring deeper scuba gear or go freediving to feel the lake's thermal gradient. The forms of the lake make for a lovely view. How to get there You may either join a group excursion (Coron Island Tour) or hire a private boat to Barracuda Lake from Coron Town Proper. Best time to visit Highly recommended to visit during summer months. Go early in the morning when the location is less congested. Because the lake's entry is narrow, it might be busy during peak hours. Entrance fee There is an entrance fee to Barracuda Lake
Ashutosh Singh — Google review
Baracuda Lake in Coron, Philippines—a surreal spot where layers of fresh and saltwater create a unique thermal stratification. The temperature changes as you dive, offering a fascinating underwater experience. Freediving and Scuba diving is one of the best experience here.
Yuki Tomori — Google review
Really crowded place. You go up to shore and climb a little bit of stairs to the other side to the lake. We even waited a couple hours and came back later because the bay was completely full of boats. When we were leaving, a lot of people had to walk/swim to shore still. As you can see in one video, a throng of people couldn’t swim so they were toted around in a train to get to/from their boat. Kind of amusing, but also since they can’t swim… On the other side at barracuda lake, the area to get in the water is very tiny, and they crowded the platform to the point you couldn’t walk on the platform from the stairs to get to the area to jump in. Barracuda lake itself: cool to see the limestone cliffs go down into the water for sure, but just realize there is no marine life or corals or anything. We dove down 14-15meters or so and couldn’t feel the temperature change on the day we were there, so if this is important to you, maybe plan a scuba dive or plan to bring your proper free dive mask as the squeeze gets to be a bit much on the eyes any deeper than 15m with the rental masks provided (in my opinion).

One of a kind -Best views and crystal clear water! Highly recommended. One of the best spot in Coron Palawan. The lake is few minutes hike from the boat and challenging paths like small wooden steps above big sharp rocks. It is not very safe for people have mobility and balance issue. If you are going island hoping bring cash with you because theres some snack stands in the island that sells everything from all kinds of beverages, alcohol, hot bananaque and fresh coconut drinks.

Banul Beach is a small, secluded white sand beach that is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sun. It is one of the most popular beaches on Coron with tourists who enjoy boat trips and snorkelling. The beach is best accessed in the mornings when it is less busy.
We visited this beach during one of the boat tours from Coron (Nice in Paradise), but there are many other operators who visit this place. It is generally used as a place to eat lunch under the shaded tables. You have great views over the white sandy beach and the rock as a back wall. There are Some small shops at the beach and there is also a primitive toilet available at the right side up the stairs. A very nice place for a short visit!

We went here while our boat (Herbert’s Private Land & Boat Tours) went back to drop one of our group members back at the dock to catch his flight. It was a bit busy when we first got there with 2 other tour boats being there/ they didn’t stay for long and then we had the place to ourselves to take stunning photos and eat lunch and have some coconuts on the beach (50 pesos)

Altrove is a pizza restaurant in Coron that specializes in traditional Italian pizza and pasta dishes. The restaurant has a long line of regulars that swear by the deliciousness of their pizzas and pasta dishes. This alfresco space also offers some of the best pizza and pasta dishes in Coron.
Amazing pizza's! We went back for the pasta, also delicious. Better than most European Italian places. Friendly staff and nice interior too.

The pasta were great. The pizza were not as great as I remember from a previous trip, but still good. Service was also okay. They don't provide service water.
Wandering Ays — Google review
Pasta and pizza was fine, the service was fine and the restaurant was clean and tidy. The ice cream was quite good, actually it was better than good. I liked it because it was really creamy and tasted good. There is good view from some of the tables near the window because the restaurant is on 1st floor and nothing obstructing the view. I would eat here again.

Really nice place to visit, pizzas are really good, except one margarita was too dry, but everything else was really good. Service was amazing, they are really nice and I like that everyone is bearfoot you have to take off your shoes and that means it is clean. Cocktails are really good you can see bartender making it. 🍸🍹 I would recommend this place to Europeans for sure 🫶🏻

Good Dine In Place in Coron Went here for lunch after my flight from Manila. The place could be found in the second floor of the building. It was quiet and clean when I visited the place. I ordered their pasta worth P450 based on their staff recommendation. It was a combination of tomato and oil based kind of pasta and it was good. Good enough to start the Coron trip.

Italian delights in Coron! The room is dark, setting that romantic atmosphere. Everyone is requested to take their shoes and slippers off. Everything tasted authentic—and there’s a lot to choose from! Their carbonara is my favorite. If you are to visit for dinner, I suggest going here as early as 6 PM to avoid a long queue.
Eizen Barleta — Google review
Tartufo pasta is just good (nothing special). For quatro formaggi, all I can taste is the tomato (still taste good but I'm expecting cheese should be the star of the show). Service is slow too despite there are few customer when we arrived.
Ron Serrano — Google review
The food is great. The pizza is better than the pasta. However, they forgot our order and we had to wait almost an hour for our food. Everyone else that arrived after us already got their food and we had to follow up for our order 2 times. Apparently they forgot about our order.

Good pizzeria in Coron. It's on the upper level and you can see partly the water from above. Wines were not so good. Staff were very friendly.
Cielo del Cielo — Google review
The restaurant is located on the top of the building and has a nice vibe. We ordered as a starter some pomodore and they were delicious but a little bit of a small portion for 180php. As a main we had some margarita pizza and a fungi pizza and both were okay but nothing special, for us a little bit to much cheese on the pizza and not enough tomato sauce. The service was good and the drinks were also delicious. Price is a little high but that is usual for western food.
Lars Bauer — Google review
Pizza is good! We ordered Panchetta con Tartufo and Prosciutto Crudo con Tartufo. I like the former better. We also ordered lasagna - Italian style (didn't enjoy it much because I'm used to the Pinoy style). Also ordered Fettu Gamberi and the detoxifying liter of cucumber-ginger-lemon juice which is okay. Service is okay tho we waited for our tables coz they are full house and the manager will just line up our orders once someone bills out so even if we finalized our order earlier, we still got our food a little late.

Trattoria Altrove in Coron, Philippines, is an Italian restaurant that offers an enchanting and romantic atmosphere. Along with the delightful ambiance, the food here is truly a treat. My favorite dish was the seafood pasta, a flavorful medley that left me wanting more. We also savored the yummy Hungarian sausage pizza, which satisfied our cravings perfectly. To complete the experience, I indulged in a couple of their top-notch margaritas. Additionally, the restaurant's spacious and clean bathrooms added to the overall positive impression. Highly recommended for a memorable and satisfying dining experience.

If you are looking for a nice Italian resto in Coron town, this is the place to be! Their Margherita pizza was superb (baked in a brick oven), the Pomodori was a great appetizer and the pasta that I ordered was Chicken and Truffle in Penne, rich, savory and satisfying. The ambiance of course was commendable, as it was overlooking the town and Coron Island. One unusual thing though, you would have to take off your slippers when you dine in!

Trattoria Altrove offers a memorable dining experience with its delicious food, friendly service, and charming atmosphere. Whether you're craving authentic Italian cuisine or simply looking for a delightful dining experience in Coron, This restaurant went beyond what we expected. What we ordered: half-half Margherita pizza, penne bolognese, fettuccine carbonara and refreshing cucumber ginger lemonade.
Maureen Aquino — Google review
Low quality ingredients (canned mushrooms, low quality bacon and such), long waiting time (though the waitress warned us the pizzas would take about 30 mins) and no service water (probably a first!) The pizzas are expensive for Philippines’ standards, and they don’t accept card (not uncommon in the Philippines, but not so much at this price point). Worst pizzas I had in Palawan. The 2 stars are because the pizza dough is good, that’s the only positive of this place.
Joana Lopes — Google review
Best Italian food in Palawan. We loved the pizza and the pasta! We went twice in 4 days. Honestly, I liked it more than in Italy haha I really recommend it. The service it was amazing, everything on point.
mariel tapia — Google review
…and we found the place on our last night. WHAT a dilemma - after all these fried nightmares of the last days. Go for the Margeritha! Dough, cheese, tomato sauce are best. Waiting time: 15 mins only. Takeaway possible.
Exithamster — Google review
We ordered two pizzas - prosciutto crudo and Margherita. Both were delicious! We actually got pretty full with those two even though we were very hungry. I would recommend getting one pizza and a starter since two can be very filling. We also ordered a very refreshing 1L juice/water (cucumber + ginger + lemon) for less than 200 PHP.
leticia malheiros — Google review
Nice pizza. Cool idea that you have to take off footwear when dining. Staff were friendly enough. Quick service. Tip: Ask for the chilli oil it tastes great. Shame there were a lot of mosquitos flying around near our table so maybe just a bit of extra TLC with preventing this for guests sitting by the window.

Tapas restaurant
Hermanos Tapas is a Spanish tapas restaurant that serves some of the most delicious dishes in Coron. The small plates are perfect for sharing, and the menu has a wide variety of traditional and modern European cold cuts and cheeses to pair with your wine of choice. The decor is modern and sleek, with clean lines and an authentic Mediterranean atmosphere. This is the perfect place to spend a romantic evening out in Coron with your significant other.
Amazing dinner experience! Loved all the food we tried and everything on the menu was unique. Highly recommend the spicy chicken dish (forget the name). Dynamite, calamari, churros all were very good as well.
Bill Green — Google review
We were the only ones here at the time. So naturally service was great. Everyone helped each other provide service by bring out all the foods and drinks that we ordered. Most of the drinks were made as expected. Anything with mangoes of course tastes exceptional (why wouldn't they?) Their shrimp was good. I've learned that I do not like cheese in the Philippines.. but it's all subjective.. nothing against the restaurant... I brought it up because I was disappointed in the mozzarella sticks. Their garlic rice is on point and their beef is also good

We have been trying Spanish restaurants in Palawan, but this place was by far the best of all of them. The dishes were delicious and very filling. We ordered 3 dishes for 2 people and we nearly couldn’t finish it. The service was great! Price/quality also very good. I couldn’t recommend it more.
mariel tapia — Google review
There is a charming wine bar located on a busy main street, which is a great place to escape from the heat, thanks to its excellent indoor air conditioning. We ordered some tapas to share, and the portions were just perfect, as we weren't too hungry. However, the dishes were a bit too salty for our taste. The wine list had great choices, but the prices were on the higher side. The service was decent as well, but it would be nicer if they offered free water.
Cindy W — Google review
We waited for 2 hours for the food. And when it arrived the food was not great. Just don't expect Spanish tapas but more like frozen food. The lemon fish was very good.
Ozana Buse — Google review
Very delicious tapas served with a warm smile. I especially liked the gambas shrimps (tiger prawns were sold out) and the Angus steak. The sauce went so well with the garlic rice. Drinks are very reasonably priced as well, with local beers costing only 80 pesos, and cocktails at 260 pesos.
Y Wong — Google review
We ate here when we arrived Coron. The place was really nice and chill. The staff were all helpful and nice. I think the food prices were a bit high. And there was no service water. I think it’s more suited for drinking.
Lolli Mae Guab — Google review
For those who like Spanish Tapas. This place is located in the main street in Coron. The interior space is nice, with a couple of two-person tables available and also big ones for groups. The food was good, however, very spicy. Don't expect to be served with big portions of food. This is tapas, the goal is to share the dishes among people. For those who know tapas, you know exactly what to expect. The major downside of this place is the waiting time. 25 minutes to serve two small dishes shouldn't happen. Also, for the prices, they look a bit pricey considering The Philippines standards.

Absolutely loved our meal at Hermanos! We arrived around 6PM, so just before the dinner rush. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the pollo blanco and the lemon grass fish. I even rolled my leftover rice into the pot of the pollo blanco to get all the cream sauce! Staff was highly attentive, restaurant was clean and air-conditioned. Definitely a must-try!

One of the best Spanish restaurant I've been visited. Everything is good and tasty but the portion was just fit the belly so far. The beef steak was unavailable permanently and hope I got the chance to try in the future.

Commendable service, friendly attendants, comfortable ambiance. We ate lunch here and ordered five different dishes. It was peaceful, and so I wonder what’s the vibe here at night. I think the pollo dishes we ordered tasted a bit bland. You’ll like the food if you’re into saucy grub. The restaurant doesn’t offer service water. Cash and GCash are the only payment options available. Service charge: 5%
Eizen Barleta — Google review
The food is good but the service is not really fast. Anyway, we loved the place and their menu.. we tried different things since we’ve been there twice during our stay in Coron… spinach with cashews was so good! I invite all the people complaining about the amount of food to look for the definition of “tapas” before writing a bad review.

Recommended to us by a fellow member of our hotel. Safe to say its the best Spanish tapas I have ever had! The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable also, and sponke English comfortably. The beef dishes were unreal! Nice vibes and reasonably priced.

One of our favourite meals in coron! Serving up Spanish tapas. We tried a few dishes and our favourites were the Angus beef, spiced chicken and garlic rice. Churros were ok, and so was the pandan+coconut ice cream. Would recommend!

We initially tried to make a reservation, but if you go here early that won’t be necessary. One of the good places to try here in Coron! Food was amazing we dined here twice. My personal favorite would be the Beef Salpicao, Spicy Chorizo and Palawan Honey & Ginger Ice Cream! Very pleasant waitstaff, cozy ambience. With great house wine selection too!

Amazing and delicious Spanish food! We love the chorizo and the gambas! The beef salpicao is too chewy, IMO.

This floating restaurant found in Reef Pier NR Central Market offer a wonderful view of the sunset while enjoying dinner. Note that reservations are suggested to ensure the best seating. Alcohol is served, and there's a full bar to make your night even more enjoyable. There's also free wifi and comfortable seating for you to enjoy.
Great ambience, structure atop the bay, linked via a wooden bridge, rustic charm. Overlooking the bay, watch the boats sailing in and out to sea, surrounded by hilly terrain islands nearby. Watch the magic hour, of the color Aurora set by the setting sun. Majestic sight to behold even within town. This is LIVING! Food wise, decent quality and decent price like most restaurants. Be sure to come earlier if you dont want to end up being in queue for a table, as there are only about 15 tables and some counter seats.

Great restaurant to sit and pass the afternoon, especially with a lovely light breeze blowing off of the water!! Service was easy but could have been a little more attentive. Once a conversation was struck up over staff opinions on the best tour companies, the ladies were happy to engage with us. Lunch was quite tasty, reasonably priced, and good portion sizes, left full and satisfied. Please be advised, they have a very limited seafood menu, mostly a combination of European and Asian dishes. Beer was super cold!!
James Dwyer — Google review
You really go to this restaurant for the location. As mentioned in other reviews be prepared that more than 50% of the menu maybe unavailable, of course they don't tell you that when you sit down. However if you are flexible about what you eat then you should enjoy your time here. Service was pleasant. Food was good.

very relaxing place for a drink or a meal. please do not plan to be in a hurry and enjoy the breeze and the views. not the biggest sign on the road so you need to pay attention to find it but worth it. you have to go down a short steep hill and then wind your way past a hotel and dive shop to get to their walkway. they provide one of the better views of the bay and will catch the breeze if there is one. the also have a pool table which can be fun shooting pool with a view of the bay. a bit more expensive for dinner but good quality and quantity. house wine both red and white were very acceptable. not open for breakfast at least at low season. as a suggestion you may want to split a meal as the portions are large. a pizza and most of the offerings can easily feed two people.

5 to 10 mins walk from the main road. Wonderful view and cozy atmosphere. The food was a little expensive, the food was great nonetheless. They also have a bar and sells various drink concoctions. The area is not that noisy and away from the busy streets.

Great view of the bay, nice place to have a drink but nothing more. Overpriced food, 320PHP for pasta? Really? In the Philippines! Come have a drink here but stay away from the food. Service was mediocre, took over 10 minutes for the waitress to come see us and we were the only customers in the whole place. Drinks were okay but my girlfriend found 2 ants in her Lytchee Daiquiri. Come decide for yourself, still worth it all in all but don't get hyped about this place or you'll be deceived.

Tiny place on the water with limited seating, perfect for sunset views. Great food, and tasty, strong drinks. Portions could have been a little bit bigger.

Beautiful restaurant above the water on beach.. not bad food but too hot without a fan and food prices don't match with the quality they have.. just they serve too much food.. staff are careless and it takes time to get their attention even when there are not many customers there.. they stand in a corner and their back against the guests then talk loudly for hours!

Levine's Eatery is a restaurant with delicious, home-style Filipino food and unbeatable views. The dishes are affordable and the staff is welcoming and friendly. If you're looking for a relaxing evening out with great food, Levine's Eatery should be at the top of your list.
I had decent priced meals that are good servings! The staff are very lovely and helpful, you’ve also got a beautiful view up the top with some fans to make it not so hot. If you’re looking for somewhere to eat in Coron, this is the place ! Also plenty of vegetarian + vegan options which I love as it has been quite difficult to find here in the Philippines.

45 min, it took them to bring simple appetizers (hummus with bread). Fresh mango juice had more water init than juice, but time, time from order to get food was beyond any acceptable level. Shrimp were overcooked one of the worst I had ever. Stars I gave just for the terrace view....

My new favorite place to eat in Coron. Good prices, good food, large portions, convenient to Coron proper, super friendly staff, and off the street. Limited seating so plan to arrive early if you do not want to share a table. Recommend by my Dive shop and it was a good recommendation!

Giving it a 4 because our breakfast the first day was really amazing. Spring rolls were fresh and actually amazing. Went back the next day for lunch and spring rolls were cold in the middle. I’m thinking made in the morning and warmed for later. Rooftop dining area is top notch. Would recommend for breakfast.

Good tasting food at affordable prices, great view, open air but on the 3rd floor. You will spend a bit of time waiting for your food 'coz it's being prepared fresh.
SAGER, TRINI R. — Google review
The ambiente is amazing. The waiters were very nice. The drinks were good. Unfortunately, the hummus was indelible. I don't know how you can spoil hummus like that, as the ingredients are actually clear. The vegan burger was also really inedible. I have no idea what the patty was made of. Undefinable taste, smoky and strange consistency. Similar to a dough. The fries were not cooked through.
Steffen Sommer — Google review
Really nice food, from the different "silog" options for brunch to the main meals such as garlic honey chicken wings with homemade fries, and grilled pork with rice. All very affordable from about 150php to 300php depending on the dish. Plus it offers a pleasant view in the day and a romantic setting at night. We are here 4 tines and had we been there sooner in our stay it would have been more!

Good place to eat and watch the sunset. Prices were okay, a few vegan options which was good, although the tofu in the curry wasn't very nice, too squishy!

We ordered cappuccinos here when there was no other customers and it took over half an hour for them to arrive. When they did, it was just warm milk - no coffee taste. We asked for them to have caramel in and they were just topped with cinnamon instead. The rooftop view was good and some of the staff were nice.
Freya Riseborough — Google review
Pork sisig was really good. There was a lot of oil though, maybe from the pork fat itself while cooking. Could have drained a bit of that before serving. Also tried their squid sisig which was also amazing. It was mildly spicy. Mango shake was refreshing, could use a sweeter variant of mangoes and a bit more milk in my opinion. The main issue I had was the serving time. During peak hours, wait time was at least 1 hour. I think it’s because they freshly cook the food for each orders and there’s not enough staff. If you really want to eat here without the hassle, go in between lunch and dinner when the tourists are still on their tours.

This was located exactly in front of our hotel and we had our lunch here before heading back to the airport. The tables are all the way up on the 3rd floor overlooking the sea. We had the calamari, chicken with basil and squash, beef caldereta ang sisig. The wait for the food is a little long but we didn't mind as we are only killing tim before our airport pick up service. The sisig was good! So far, people in Coron knows their sisig very well and that's impressive. The chicken with basil and squash has a kick in it but we loved the strong basil flavor. The beef caldereta was not a pleaser. The flavor was good but the meat can use more time to get tender. It was hard and chewy. Lastly, try their shakes. The other table ordered banana shake and said it was good. We had mango shakes and we enjoyed it too. Note: There's wifi but the signal is very low on the rooftop.

Wasn't too much of a wait for the food. Don't know why other reviews people are moaning at wait times. The Tapsilog was amazing, the burger was delicious accompanied with the fresh home made fries. The hotdogs were tasty but not my favourite. I would definitely recommend this place to others to eat at. Very friendly staff, nice and clean place and the prices were decent.

If you're looking for a good burger in Coron town proper, Buzz Express is the place to go. Their prices may be high for local standards, but the food is top notch and the staff are friendly and welcoming. They also offer great smoothies, wraps, and cakes - so it's definitely worth a visit!
We loved the outdoor set up as we were the only ones in the veranda of the 2nd floor. We ordered pizza, shrimp aglio pasta and salad. The food were sumptous and the serving were big. The crust of the pizza were lavash bread. The staff were friendly and the helpful coz we had so many requests that she had to go up and down for us. Love th place!

When he heard dietary problems the chef immediately appeared and altered dishes to work. Very impressive and so was the staffs attention. Food was good, although labelled as spicy was inaccurate but nothing that fresh chilli couldn't fix. Interesting fish menu, but didn't try as had for lunch. The only issue was the vibe killer of multiple diners playing phone video games at max volume. Staff didn't seem to care. We left inside and sat outside with our drinks.

After a trip, we went here for dinner. Most of the items in their menu is western. The staff seems accommodating and friendly. They even offered to take our photo. We like the meat icon in the menu to make our choice easier. They don’t accept credit card but they accept cash and GCash. Serving size of food and prep time are decent. The dining area has AC inside. We didn’t notice if you can eat outside but there are several children who knocked on our window begging. We ordered classic Cuban sandwich and chicken teriyaki wrap. The wrap was dry so I asked for more sauce which they obliged. The French fries is not included in the mea but you can add P50 for them to include it. I think they should be part of the meal already to make the price of the meal worth it.

This place had some really good food but a bit pricey which is the reason for 4 stars vs 5. With that being said I would say the fruit smoothies are delicious (Masarap)! We ordered a garden pizza, Southern Burger, sweet potato fries were also super yummy. We tried every smoothie across several visits during our week vacation here and they were all delicious but I can say the one with bananas and mango I think honey as well this was our top pick. Grilled chicken was good, we also went prior to 11am when they only had breakfast. The omelette was okay and the sandwich wasn't as exciting as the other food so if you're looking for the lunch and dinner items go after 11am.

I come here for lunch. There are many people in here. We choose chicken steak sandwich and fish & chips. Sandwich is good, it's very juicy. But fish & chips is just not bad. Their some chips are soft, some is too hard. I don't know why? The fish they don't use catfish. Because almost all will use catfish. So, when you eat their fried fish, you will feel that it's not real fried fish. 😂 Anyway, the food are good, but price is too high in coron.
