I don't really care for museums. But this was a very eye evening, heart wrenching, and educational visit. I'm going back tomorrow to see the rest of it. It was such a beautiful place and a great reminder of how lucky we are as a nation because of the sacrifices the men and women in uniform made for us. I would add more pictures but it's better to experience it in person. All the employees were just so kind.

So much to learn. Truly an amazing museum. Could spend hours learning and walking back in time to see the past. The artwork is stunning. The statues are life like. If you have an opportunity to visit, invite a veteran or current soldier so personal and so many real life stories. A must see on your Ft. Benning visit. It is free to see but please be generous and make a nice donation.

Great museum located at Ft. Moore, Ga. Lots of exhibits outside. There is a WWII company street that is awesome. If you’re into military history, or even just history, then this is the place for you. This museum does a great job thoughtfully covering the history of the USA Infantry from inception to modern times. The displays are amazing and the artifacts are plentiful. I really enjoyed the modern exhibit and the WWI exhibit. The entry is free but I would recommend giving a donation by either cash or card. There’s a great gift shop and food options as well. Make sure you give yourself a few hours to really be able to see everything.

This museum is AWESOME. It is free of charge but they appreciate tips. It was so much fun and my kids enjoyed it. We spent about 2 hours there. It is 3 levels and wheelchair accessible.
Christina Nail — Google review
This is the best free museum I've ever been to (donations only)! It's 3 floors very big and an extremely nice. I was very impressed. There is a theater inside along with concession area that sales food so many thing to read and see you will need a couple hours to see everything and there is even an outside area and courtyard with many facts! This museum is huge and many awards hang in the ceiling in the front entrance and I can see why. It was also very clean and friendly staff, this is a definite must if your in the Columbus area. It's literally a top 5 museum and also they offer rooms for events and weddings. Add it to your bucket list!

This is a simply amazing place. It is an interactive history of the United States infantry. It has many exhibits showing you the strength of our nations premier fighting force. The grounds of the parade field is laden with the soil from every battle since the American revolution. That way every soldier walks in the footsteps of those who have gone before. Totally worth a visit to see how your freedom is defended. Hooah!

Amazing! I haven't been back to Benning since the end of the 90's. This wasn't there when I was stationed or went back for training. However, we were passing through the Columbus area with our children in a family trip so, we thought we'd show them the old stomping grounds! We saw this was there now and decided to visit. Wow! They really did a wonderful job of curation and presentation. I truly can not overstate it enough that it is worth your time (it's free so, no money).

The National Infantry Museum Is Very Awesome! It was great, interesting, and enjoyable to go there to learn all the history, and see all the models. The simulator was very fun too. Without any doubt I strongly recommend The National Infantry Museum because it's more than just a great fun adventure it's a great opportunity to take advantage of! Have a great day!

This place is amazing. Plan an entire day for this. Great movies. Outside there are WW2 Barracks, a church, etc. That's open on weekends. There are tanks, a Vietnam Memorial that's smaller but just like D.C. Soldiers from every war and conflict are honored. I need to go back because I didn't get to walk through it all. If you show up on certain data days, you can watch a live graduation of US Army Infantry Soldiers ( why I was there). The graduation is amazing and quite moving. I'd recommend going on one of those days.
turtlle78 — Google review
The museum is awesome, easily rivaling anything the Smithsonian has to offer. There is so much more here than I thought so I didn't plan my visit very well and only got through half of the museum. If you are in the area and like military history in particular Army Infantry history, you have to visit, it won't disappoint. I think is free, but donations are accepted.

Fantastic and free museum. Its great, has amazing captured history, the dioramas were so intricate. The flow and design were smart and layed out well. Bathrooms clean, paintings were some of the best I've seen depicting incredible scenarios. Its one of the best museums I've visited. Must see if you're in this area.

We actually went for a JROTC field trip, so the museum was closed to the public while we were there, but I definitely plan to return since we didn't get to see everything. The exhibits are really nice and well organized. They also have a Vietnam memorial and a War on Terror memorial outside that are very nice. They offer supplies to make rubbings from these memorials. The staff was wonderful and very knowledgeable. We had a great experience! Would like to add that admission is free, but a small donation ($5) is suggested per visitor.
Talia P — Google review
One of the best museums I have been too! Each exhibit room was well laid out and provided so much information. My favorite part was going up the walkway to the 2nd floor. The visuals were so realistic and well thought out. We will be back!! We were there for the Iraq war Symposium.

Highly recommend visiting this place if your in Columbus ga. Definitely one of the best places we visited on our day trip. Looking for a budget friendly place for families they have no cost but accept donations.
Fredrick Alexander — Google review
An unplanned visit turned out to be an astonishing one. There is a lot to take in, we were there for couple hours before closing time, realized we barely covered half of it. Triggers several prominent events of history right through the artifacts. The entire set up is incredible. You get to see most of the artilleries , gain knowledge on what US military goes through in a normal day or on a warlike situation. View the trails and techniques that were undergone in the history. They got a setup to offer near real-time experience of the conditions that US military had been through in the war. There are heart wrenching, eye opening moments while looking at Japan flag with autographs of soldiers, saddam’s gold gun and many many more. Staff members are so friendly and helpful at every instance. There is a lot more to cover and would want to spare a whole day to visit again. On top of all, there is no cost of ticket. It’s absolutely and totally FREE of cost. Just walk right in. Must visit place in GA.

Very well designed museum. Lot of good exhibits and information. Plenty of parking and good access. It's just outside the post so all can access it. It covers the history of Infantry from day one to modern day. Plan on a good 2 - 3 hours to walk through at a reasonable pace. Free, but donations are appreciated.

Was probably the best museum I have ever been to, and our family has been to dozens of museums. I will say this, "I was so absorbed into the displays, recreation of the scenes and actual information provided that 4 hours seemed like mere minutes." It was an absolute treasure trove of information, history where even the random staff would stop and talk to you, ask questions and give you real world information of "how" the display came to the museum. Amazing job!!
C Ganoung — Google review
This is the first class museum that is under appreciated. It should be on everybody's go to list when it comes to learning about not just the United States. Infantry, but the army as well. It's easy to spend an entire day in there.

This is my first time to visit this place and I was in awe. The museum has several galleries and has very interesting displays to look and stories to read. It took me 2hours to finish my visit, but actually will take more than that if you truly and hearthily read all of it. The museum visit is of free admission, but a minimum of $5 per person is appreciated as donation. Outside you can visit a memorial site, an old train, combat vehicles and etc. It is located Fort Moore, Columbus, Georgia.

One of the best museums we have ever visited - and it's free..? Very informative and broken down by the eras. Free public WiFi, too. Plan for 3-4 hours to at least experience anything. There is a free 15 minute film in the main exhibits area that is also highly recommended..! There were some outdoor exhibits, too. HIGHLY recommended to visit!
Ryan Smith — Google review
This Museum is hands down one of the best! I was absolutely shocked at how amazing this was! Well worth your time! If you support our Military and like real history you will love this place! So many valuable things to learn and see.
Rhiann B — Google review
We were here for a basic training graduation. The ceremony was small, inside and nice. We were able to tour the museum afterwards and I definitely recommend. My children 7 and 9yo didn't want to spend as much time as I did... but they aren't veterans. Very emotive displays/exhibits. I didn't see all of it, as I was being dragged through the lower portion. You cannot bring even water bottles inside... though, I was able to check it and pick it up as I left! Everyone was polite, professional, and knowledgeable. Worth the stop if you have any interest military, any family or friends who are veterans, or just want a little insight into some of America's history.

My family and I had the blessing of being able to experience the National Infantry Museum recently while in town for army purposes. There was lots to see and learn about. I appreciated how great it was organized and displayed. It was close enough to the base for easy travel and with all the outdoor space, it offers a great opportunity for kiddos to run and explore a bit.

Sights & Landmarks
The National Civil War Naval Museum is a historical museum that showcases Navy ships used in the Civil War with reenactments and ghost tours. The museum features informative plaques and diagrams about the ships, artillery, crews and their quarters. One of the displayed ships, CSS Jackson, has damage from battles it was in and giant spikes holding it together. The man at the front desk is knowledgeable on both displayed and undiscovered ships being raised out of the ocean.
Visited 12/28/2021 The man at the front desk was very knowledgeable on the ships displayed as well as other ships that they are attempting to locate and raise out of the ocean. The CSS Jackson is a much larger ship than it appears in the pictures, even with a portion of the middle missing. You can see the giant spikes holding the ship together, as well as the damage from the battles it was in. There are several cannons on display, and a plethora of other diagrams and informative plaques throughout the museum giving you information on the ships, artillery, crews and their quarters. Absolutely would recommend for a [Naval] history lover

This place is simply awesome. We stopped because it gave us a break on our drive to Atlanta, and I was blown away with what they’ve got for such a small place that is privately (it is non-government funded) funded. They have a ton of information all around, and some really neat artifacts. I would recommend this place to anyone, and would certainly return if I find myself in the area.

I’ve been wanting to go to this museum for years but sadly waited long enough for the ship to be torn down! It was a lovely experience for someone looking to get out for a couple hours! It’s not too big and not too small! It’s perfect for a family outing and the staff was great! It’s also priced reasonably at $8 for adults and you get what you pay for 😎

Worth the price of admission. Learn about something that isn't really taught much in any high school or college history class.

This is an excellent museum, not government run but locally operated. This place has lots and lots of very interesting artifacts and some very knowledgeable workers who are able to answer most any question you may have. I will admit I was a little shocked to be at a Naval museum in Columbus Ga (nowhere near the coast) but they explained the why and reasoning behind the location and it made great sense and was an interesting historical lesson in itself.

Great place! Very interesting! Well laid out, lots of history! My husband and I really enjoyed it.

I wasn't sure what to expect. The topic seemed a bit narrow...but I have to admit I was impressed and indeed learned a number of things. The CSS Jackson is a very impressive display. Same with the historic flags. Some of the displays are like movie sets--good for the kids. If you just want to "see" it, you can run through in about 30-40 minutes. I am one of those who reads everything and ended up spending over 2 hours. Price is reasonable.

Really neat museum for history buffs. Tickets are a little pricey but they do offer military discounts. It was not very crowded so it was nice to move around at your own pace with tons of information around the museum. The museum isn’t very interactive, but it has great artifacts including the wreckage of an ironclad. Good place to stop at on a free weekend.

We took our 6th grade class for a field trip. We booked a tour through the museum and I am so glad we did! We had a great tour guide and the director of education Brandon were super knowledgeable and kind. Both were great with the kids and were able to answer all questions the students had. They were super accommodating to our group and made us feel very welcome. We plan to make this an annual field trip for our school.

The science museum Coca-Cola Space Science Center is an attraction suitable for all ages that offers a range of activities including simulators, film screenings and observation events. Located in Columbus State University, the center features interactive exhibits such as a Land Rover simulation resembling the one on Mars which can be controlled like a remote control car. Additionally, visitors can enjoy shows at the planetarium and experience real-life simulations of space travel. The admission fee is affordable with discounts available for military and senior citizens.
We had less than an hour, so didn't do everything. Still fun was had by school aged kids, teenagers, adults, and seniors! Definitely recommend as a family experience. The simultors, plasma machine, green screen, and heat sensing/infrared camera were really fun! The gift shop had something for every budget from $0.50 on up to pricier fare $6 astronaut food, and such. Definitely worth stopping in! We have a museum membership that includes the ASTC Passport Program, so admission was free. It is a reasonable $6- $8 otherwise. If you're near Ft. Moore, do make the stop, especially if you have kids! Also wheelchair accessible!

we absolutely loved this place. It's connected to Columbus state University in conjunction with Coca-Cola and it has really cool exhibits for the kids to be interactive with. There was a Land Rover that mimiced the one on Mars that you can actually steer like a remote control car. There's also a planetarium in which they have shows and a real life simulation of being in space! If you're looking for something to do on a Saturday afternoon that's not too expensive it's $8 for adults and $1 for kids and kids 2 and under are free that you can have military and Senior citizens discounts!

The facility is very much smaller than I had expected. The key draw for me was the films which are free to view with a paid admission. They're about 30 minutes in length and are quite entertaining and informative. Definitely worth a visit!

Very nice place. It's small but has a lot of things to learn in a very fun way. We got to navigate rovers and pretend to land on the moon or visit a volcano using a green screen. They have a simulation of taking off into space and a small planetarium. It was really cool my daughter and I enjoyed it very much.

A lot of hands on activities for kids that don't charge extra prices. Small but very informative. And the staff members were kind and courteous.

Went during the weekday. Very small might take a hour to look at everything. The movie for the kids was great but the Space Odyssey was really boring. I think if they added more interactive space items it would be great. Took my grandchildren because my granddaughter wants to be an astronaut. Gift shop needs more items. But overall the kids enjoyed it and that's all that matters. Making memories that's all that counts!

This place was fun to visit if you into space. Love the simulations of the rocket ship going to space and also the flight simulations. A fun place for the family that isn't too expensive.

I’ve lived here for 6 years and finally went to check this museum out! It’s only $8 to get in. It’s just what you need to get out the house for a couple hours. I say if you’re in the area, check it out! I think my favorite part was the little fighter jet simulator, that thing was pretty real lol! For this to be in Columbus, it’s much appreciated and the staff was great, go ahead and take your kids to this place!
Ms. K — Google review
This was a great little museum. It isn't very big but has a lot of interactive displays nice for all ages. It covers the history of our space program and the science behind it as well as some missions in particular. We spent about two hour or a little more there which worked well for our kids.

An amazing place to visit and to kill a few hours. There were so many interactive things for you to do as well as an astronomy room where they show you what the body goes through while they're in space. There's a small gift store with decent prices, really fun and recommend it to anyone who's a fan of science and NASA.

The Columbus Museum in Georgia is a former private residence that now houses an impressive collection of American art and regional history exhibits. The museum boasts lush gardens and offers workshops for glass blowing, among other things. Visitors can expect to see a broad range of displays, including historical artifacts from Central Georgia and local collections. The museum is well-maintained and definitely worth a visit for those interested in exploring the region's cultural heritage.
I had such a great time. They have so much to view. They had a wide variety of works of art. They had so many historical things that highlight Columbus. They had such beautiful art and had great details about the pieces. This was a wonderful outing and I recommend anyone that enjoys art to come and enjoy the museum. It's got something for everyone.

Very clean and professional museum. My grandmother and I have gone for their glass blowing workshops and love those!! However, the museum is usually void of people unless an event is going on. If you are younger than 50, the staff and guards follow you around and watch you, and do not come off as friendly or willing to make conversation. It is very overbearing. This distracts from the very interesting and well put together showcasing and collections.

Best workshops. We’ve been already to the Fall and winter workshops for glass blowing and we’ve loved them. The marketplace is great too and so are the local collections. Well maintained and a “must visit.”

We really weren't expecting it to be much at all bit boy were we surprised. The place is huge inside and it has so many exhibits. Art, history, weapons, and so much of our states historical history for the central ga area.. We spent almost 3 hours on one floor. The pictures I posted here do it no justice but we would absolutely recommend stopping in and taking a walk around it is worth the time.

Loved it! Lovely place, beautiful art, great tributes. The only complaint I have is with the guards, I understand that they are trying to enforce rules and make sure no one breaks or damages anything, but they could be a lot nicer about it. Otherwise, it was awesome, I highly recommend it.

Flat Rock Park is a vast wooded area situated around a fishing lake, offering various outdoor activities such as hiking and biking trails, picnic spots with barbecue grills, and playgrounds for kids. The park has an abundance of water attractions that the children particularly enjoy. Unfortunately, some visitors have been careless and inconsiderate towards the park's maintenance resulting in it being occasionally dirty.
Very clean facilities and grounds well kept. Great place for meeting friends and family. Bike trails.. fishing lake..disc golf course.. plenty of grilling huts and open grills.. Very popular with the RC crawling community!! The restroom could use a little updating but they're still not bad. Overall I'm going to give it 5 stars!!! Also very amazing place to take photos.

I like this park for its natural surroundings and a natural water park in the flat rock falls. Plenty of pools for kids to play in. Towards bottom of the series of falls is a steeper drop off for older kids to climb. Playground off to the side with slides and monkey bars. Sorry no swings. But in other parts of the park there is a very nice disc golf park. Mountain bike trail throughout. Full of picnic spots but One star off for not well maintained picnic and grill areas.

Beautiful trails through the park; very serene atmosphere. Dog friendly with plenty of picnic spots around the lake. Beautiful views... and free:) Our dog loves spending the day exploring the woods. I would say it is a hidden gem 10 min away that I just found out about and am now hooked. It is a very relaxing and beautiful bike ride as well.

Our family enjoys flat rock! It's dirty sometimes but that's what happens when uncaring and rude people visit a park. Its them to blame, not the actual place. It's large and has so much to do. My kids love the water! I've had a few scary encounters with other people not watching their kids and their kids getting hurt/most drowning! It's Def a place where you need to have EYES ON YOUR KIDS ... hard for some people apparently.

Beautiful natural areas. Very well maintained. Lots and lots of play area for kids or pets. Not everyone actually follows the leash rules though so be aware if you are afraid of dogs or your animals are dog reactive. 2 different playground areas for kids. Tons of biking/hiking trails. Paved walkways for those of us who tend to be clumsy on uneven terrain. Fishing areas, picnic tables, disc golf galore, grilling areas all over. Great place to go relax and connect with nature or just do some yoga or meditate.

Absolutely beautiful park. With the waterfall s and grilling areas. Plenty of picnic area also. And if your into it they have Frisbee golf.

My favorite park in town. It's beautiful and people are usually really nice and friendly. Watch out for the mud pits, at certain times of the year we are constantly seeing people get their trucks stuck multiple times a day. The police drive through the park at night to make sure everyone leaves. Park conditions: I feel like more efforts are directed to maintain and beautify cooper Creek, but that's just my personal opinion. I'd love to see some of the roads/sides of roads fixed due to erosion, holes filled in, trees that are about to fall or "hangers", (branch pieces that aren't even connected) that could easily fall and hurt someone. But otherwise come on out. I saw the biggest deer of my life in a creek, in the woods. It was beautiful and it didn't even make a sound when it moved. Living out in Midland I see deer on the side of the road all the time, but never like this. Come check out the park and wildlife.

Nice park. The disc golf course was longer than expected. 11 was hard to find, it was across a street and up a hill from 10. I did also get a face full of spiderweb but it's Georgia. Highly recommend going here for whatever. Lots of space to just hangout. There was a string of picnic tables like 8 strong.

Flat Rock Park, my favorite Park in the city. I recommend going before it gets dark, for extra safety. Not to mention the park closes at sundown. There is at least one police officer that comes and drives through the park and pushes everybody towards the exit. You can fish here. One of the most popular attractions now is the Disc Golf course(s) weaved throughout the part. It is on my to-do list, of things to try. I've seen people have baby showers, weddings, picnics & cookouts, family photo shoots, and glamour shots, and even family reunions. You can bring your dogs (with a leash) to the park. There are multiple playgrounds for the children. Come check it out. There are bathrooms and trash cans on site and the bathrooms do have toilet paper and are clean typically which is surprisingly awesome. There are some grilling areas/picnic tables. ( I'd probably bring my own stuff though. I don't personally know if there are specific rules) there are a few buildings on site that you can look into renting out for an occasion also. I do wish the city would work on tree removal at this park. I use to work in trees. There is a lot that could be done that would keep the park beautiful and safe. The park is a free way to have some fun, so please respect it when you come visit. Hope to see some new faces.

Stopped by this park while in Columbus to explore. There are some hiking and biking trails that were not marked well. We hiked a wooded trail around the small lake and saw several deer. On our day visiting the picnic areas were not well maintained and there was an excess of garbage all over the park. The area is beautiful and has potential to be a great park if it was better maintained.

Buckhead Steak & Wine offers a diverse menu featuring choice steaks, seafood, and vegan options in a cozy Southern setting. The restaurant provides a romantic atmosphere and excellent service, making it perfect for special occasions or date nights. Customers praise the delicious food selection, with highlights such as lamb lollipops and tiramisu. The establishment's wild game section comes highly recommended, while the Cali Nacho appetizer and bison strip receive glowing reviews.
My boyfriend and I went here for a special date night. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic, and the service was great. The food was amazing! There is a nice selection of dishes, and I had a difficult time deciding on an entree because they all sounded so good. I had the lamb lollipops and the tiramisu, and neither disappointed. (I was disappointed that they were out of the cheesecake advertised on our table's chalkboard.) Next time, I will give the rack of elk or seafood cakes a try.

Excellent atmosphere and the food was amazing. We had the Cali Nacho appetizer and it was delicious and huge portion, great value too! The bison strip was delicious. Our server (Mary Lee) was a treat to have and just made sure our visit was perfect. Would definitely come back. The bar area looked nice too!

Me and my husband ate here for the first time on Valentine’s Day and we were not impressed. We got the tuna appetizer and it was delicious but our main entrees were mediocre. Our steaks only came with one side which was crazy to me. Steaks were bland and not seasoned well. I ordered a side of asparagus and it wasn’t cooked. Only took one bite of it. Not quite sure how this place has a high rating. I can make a better meal at home. I gave 2 stars for atmosphere and the appetizer. But overall, Not worth the money at all. I attached a picture of my unseasoned and uncooked asparagus.

It was an amazing experience, Erick our waiter was awesome, polite and went I had asked him about what does he honestly think about the dessert, he gave me a detail and honest opinion of the dessert which it was spot on, Crème Brulée deliciousness! All the food was great! Loved it. Best Wedding Anniversary experience.

I was excited to celebrate my birthday dinner here. I made reservations online ahead of time for party of 2 and made note it was my birthday. The portions are generous, the presentation of the food was very inviting, but with the price we paid for the meal the ambiance could have been a lot better. Our waiter did not offer us dessert, and that disappointed me more so because I would have enjoyed a slice of cake to go since it was my birthday. It was just an ok experience for me.

The atmosphere was very inviting. Our waitress, Allison had an outstanding personality. She checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. The chef did an outstanding job as well, from seasoning to plating. Overall this place is a must go.

The atmosphere was great. Perfect for a date night/anniversary/special occasion. The food was wonderful. A great selection for everybody. Great for food that you cannot find anywhere else. My husband recommends anything from the wild game section. Gisele was our server. She was awesome. Very friendly staff from the minute we walked in.

Had a really great dining experience here! Service was outstanding from the bar tender. I had the 14 oz rib eye bloom and it was cooked to perfection, it just melted in my mouth. Had the “Cajun fries” on the side and they were amazing. Great drink selection as well. Atmosphere was nice, cozy, everyone very friendly.

The Loft is a trendy spot offering a variety of casual American fare, along with live music and comedy acts in the upstairs lounge. It's a great place for family outings, as one visitor brought their grandsons for a fun night out. The server, Christina, provided excellent service despite having to manage large tables. The mini cheeseburgers and chicken fingers were a hit with the boys, while the pasta with shrimp was an interesting choice.
My company recently held a retirement celebration party upstairs in the Green Room. We had an open bar with appetizers and dinner. The event was perfect! The room was spacious for the number of people in attendance, it was clean, smelled great and the food was delicious! The staff - specifically Rachel and the other two bartenders (sorry, I've forgotten their names) were fantastic! They allowed me early access to the space so that I could go over table placement, specialty cocktail suggestions, use of their A/V system, etc. If you are looking for an affordable place for your next meeting, party, event, etc. Look no further than The Loft. You will NOT be disappointed!

Came for an early birthday dinner. The waitress was very sweet! We were seated immediately on a Friday evening (no long wait ). The location of the restaurant is amazing right downtown. Buffalo chicken dip appetizer 9/10 could have been more spicy Ordered the lamb shank 6/10 the lamb shank was pretty dry as well as the crusted salmon(10/10) The lemon drop I ordered was a 10/10. Would definitely come back here for drinks! Will be back in the future to try something different for maybe lunch!

I brought my little grandson's there for date night with Gigi. Another reason to go there is because my daughter Christina is a server there and has been for 2 years. I wanted the boys to see how hard their mommy works. She gave us great service even though she had large tables to take care of. The boys loved the mini cheeseburgers and chicken fingers. I ordered the pasta with shrimp but will admit it wasn't my favorite. Just wanted to try something different. Me and the boys shared the chocolate lava dessert. It was a great night overall.

A friend and I went to The Loft for dinner last Thursday. They were having a comedy show as entertainment, but we decided to eat downstairs and we’re happy to be able to get seating with no reservation. I love the ambience. It was just a chill spot with a low key vibe. It wasn’t overly crowded and it was spacious enough, unlike some other restaurants downtown. I had the Thai tacos as an appetizer and was surprised by how large they were. They were definitely large enough to be a meal and tasty enough. For dinner I had the jerk chicken. The portion was very large but I have to admit it was spicy, but not the best jerk chicken. I wouldn’t order it again. For dessert I had cheesecake and my friend had chocolate cake. Both were delicious. I would definitely return to the Loft because I loved the vibe and atmosphere, and also the staff was friendly. The next time I may try the salmon or stick to the appetizers for a meal. I recommend it to others because I think it was an enjoyable experience

First time here....had appetizer fried green tomatoes and crab cake, 2 waters, ribeye with Mac n cheese and brussel sprouts and double bone in pork chop with Mac n cheese, strawberry cheesecake. Food was very good! Cheesecake is phenomenal but should be expected because dessert at some of the other local fine dining spots that have the same owner, are also phenomenal! I'm very picky about mac n cheese but this was very good, appropriately cheesy and seasoned well. Pork chop and the sauce was delicious! My husband loved his crab cake and grits appetizer. Our friends really liked their buffalo chicken dip appetizer! The place had a line as soon as they opened at 5pm on Saturday and filled up quick!! Waiter was so nice and made sure everything was just how we wanted it, I wish I remembered his name! Definitely will go back!!

Downstairs in under renovation, but the loft has two major elements working for it. Upstairs you can find live music. Downstairs a slower paced excellent restaurant. I've frequented The Loft my entire adulthood and I've never been upset with it. If in town this is a highly recommended experience.

We arrived at about 5 pm for dinner beating the evening rush, and were seated immediately. Great reception at the door, but if I had anything to criticize then it would be the entryway area was really small. It was super cold outside and only 4 people could stand in there waiting to be seated. I’m sure it isn’t an issue in the warmer weather. Our server was great…very attentive. The double cut pork chop was absolutely delicious, and my wife had the shrimp tacos which were amazing too. Perfect date night even if it was a little pricey. However, with the quality of the food and service it was well worth it.

Nestled in uptown Columbus.. the menu isn’t really overly extensive, however there are a few little treats worth trying. The medallions were done well, as was the buff chick dip. An odd assortment of drinks on the menu, but a few were tasty. May come back.

We arrived in town after an 8 hour drive to discover most restaurants were closed. Nonic Restaurant sent us to The Loft. So happy they did. Even though it was 30 minutes before closing we were welcomed in and sat quickly and graciously. Our waiter, a young man, brought us fresh made potato chips and homemade onion dip to start. We shared a pimento cheese burger, grits, and fried green tomatoes. The food was delicious and hot. Our waiter shared a bit of his story even though he was busy close to closing. Bless this young man who lost everything in a fire and is so positive to be working to having a new future. Don’t hesitate to eat here it was awesome.

I freaking love this place! There is seating both upstairs and downstairs. I honestly prefer dining upstairs as there is some lovely live music. The environment is amazing, filled with an amazing group of loving employees! Their Pimento Burger, Thai Shrimp Tacos, Grilled Salmon & Mashed Potatoes are the best! 🤤😋 I’ll definitely miss this place when I relocate🥹 Thank you💝

Found The Loft to be incredible. Our server was just the most fantastic server we had in all of Columbus. She gave us some good info on the area. Did a great job in recommending the grouper. Then it was time to select cake. The coconut and carrot cakes were a dream, and the pieces were huge.

This place was amazing!! I recommend having a reservation so you don’t have to wait! The steak was A1 a little too charred but I just scraped it off, the customer service was very good they were welcoming. The food came out really fast and everything was fresh! The mac & cheese was gross I don’t recommend that but everything else was worth it! I we will definitely be back! It was only me and my son so it was great!

The ribeye steaks were cooked perfectly but the flavor was lacking. It tasted like salt and pepper and the sides were blank basically taste like water. Won’t be back. I would only go back if my meal gets discounted because that’s a lot of money spent for food that was bland .

The Black Cow is a charming spot known for its Southern-inspired comfort food and cocktails. It has a lively roadhouse restaurant feel with a friendly atmosphere and clean surroundings. The menu features delicious dishes like fried green tomatoes with goat cheese, shrimp and grits, 16 oz Ribeye, Cuban sandwich, bacon pimento cheeseburger, and steakhouse burger. While the food received mixed reviews in terms of taste and tenderness, the overall experience was enjoyable.
This was my first time having food from the Black Cow I must say the shrimp & grits that I have for lunch today 1/7/22 what's the best shrimp and grits I've had in a long time.. the pharmacist "Brian" treated us to lunch from the black cow... the food was awesome I will be visiting this restaurant for sure thank you so much for a great meal it was truly satisfying the flavors of the shrimp and the grits were outstanding the serving size was amazing it was enough for sharing. One of the young ladies got the Reuben sandwich it look delicious. A couple of people got a salmon and someone got chicken strips everything looks so awesome smell delicious and tastes even better

Very Unique place. Friendly atmosphere, clean. Food was great. Being downtown was a great experience. 16 oz Ribeye had great flavor on the outside, inside was dry, flavorless, and little on the tough side. The Cuban sandwich and the Bacon Cheeseburger was wonderful. I would recommend the hot pitas withe the BLT dip, this was a treat. Their Ranch dressing is really good!!! Our waiter could have been more attentive, but the atmosphere was awesome. I definitely will be back again when I am in Columbus!!!

This place is amazing!! The food was top tier and the prices are reasonable. The hype about the meatloaf is true, and the fried pork chops were great. Update: I had to make sure the meatloaf was consistently amazing. The meatloaf is advertised as being the best in the South. It's not a false advertisement!! Men lie, women lie, but this meatloaf is the TRUTH!!! The sauce is ketchup based, but it is sweet. The meat is so tender and moist. It doesn't have anything extra special about the flavor; it's just meatloaf done extraordinarily well. The macaroni was creamy, cheesy, and delicious. My only complaint is that it's not served all the time.
Kandis Terry — Google review
The bartender was extremely friendly and welcoming. I ordered the steak tips and they did not disappoint. The only constructive criticism that I would offer, would be for the steak tips to have a sear on them. Otherwise, perfectly seasoned and a lot of steak. The string beans were also delicious. The bartender recommended a drink with tequila, strawberry and ginger agave, but I forgot the name. It was really good. I would definitely go back to this restaurant when visiting Columbus.

I brought my family to this restaurant and we enjoyed this restaurant. The food was great and good to see local military eating. That tells me the environment is positive. The food was very tasteful. The portion size was great as well for the price we payed. Below in the pictures are grilled shrimp, the friend grouper and a few sides.

Not what we expected it to be at all. With a name like the Black Cow, we were expecting some killer beef. Not the case. We got steaks because well what better way to eat beef? These steaks were of the worst quality. They were full of gristle and way over seasoned. Honestly, we would have gotten a better steak at the Waffle House for less than half the price. They have a pineapple casserole that the people sitting next to use insisted we try. The first bite was interesting, but it was too sweet for my liking. It was also made with canned pineapple, fresh would have been way better. I think they said the ingredients was like mayo, pineapple, brown sugar and maybe some Ritz crackers on top. I am sure there is probably more to it, but its a no from me. We also got drinks. I can't remember the names of them. Mine was in the glass and it tasted like raisins. I am not a raisin lover or even a raisin liker. It was very disappointing as the ingredients were very misleading. The one thing that we did enjoy were the lobster tots. They were amazing. I saw them advertised on their Facebook page as the ladies were making them which is what made me want to try the restaurant. However, I don't think we will be making a return trip and most definitely will not be recommending to others.

This was a surprise as I wasn't sure what to expect. My server was very attentive and friendly, offering to bring another salad when I asked for a plate to remove the excess cheese. The start of the show for me was the shrimp and grits. Nice size shrimp while the grits were prepared differently than I was used to but very good. The spice was pregnant and not too overpowering. You won't be disappointed.

I have heard a lot of good reviews about the Black Cow so I had been looking forward to trying it out. It did not disappoint. It's located in a good area of downtown; I'm walking distance to Broadway. I enjoyed the chicken and waffles plate. The fried chicken was juicy and tender and not oily. If you like jalapeno jelly, the pimento bacon cheeseburger. It's delicious. It is a small restaurant so be prepared to hear your neighbor's conversations 😆

Excellent! Had excellent service and the food was great! For appetizer, we got the goat cheese and fried green tomato tower. Highly recommend. For my meal, I ordered the chicken and waffles. Best chicken and waffles I've ever had. The bacon jam was so delicious. I didn't even need any syrup. Only thing I didn't like was the grits. They were just OK and I wouldn't order them again. My husband ordered the meatloaf and said it was good but that I won with my dish. He also ordered a mule that he said was nice and refreshing. Laid-back atmosphere. Can't wait to go again!

OK, overall, it's a great place to eat and enjoy a drink. Nate was the best server I have had in ages. Same personality, humor, and reminded me of an old coworker who had passed. Just unfortunate some military f's stiffed him as a party of 8. Anyway, I loved interacting with him, and he had good beer recommendations. The food was good too, just needed better lighting for my old eyes. Lol

We thought it was ok. It may have been all the hype before we got there made it seem mediocre. Service was good. Wait with texting worked. The venue set up was varied with outdoor, and indoor bar, high top tables and booths. We had the pineapple casserole, meatloaf sandwich, chicken salad, fried green onions and the chicken and waffles. The fried green tomato was the best the rest was average. Prices were fair.

I absolutely loved the Pimento Cheese Burger with pineapple Casserole as a side. My husband enjoyed his Shrimp and Grits, for the kids, we ordered off the appetizer menu and split it between them. We ordered fried green beans, fried green tomatoes, Meatloaf sliders. They enjoyed trying something other than the kids' menu. We loved their crispy batter for their green beans and green tomatoes. 💚

Food is top notch! Service is amazing! Atmosphere is perfect. During their busy hours of you have volume sensory issues, might want to wait till less busy hours. It does get boxy here. But it's well with it! If your ever in midtown Columbus, do come here!! My husband got the steakhouse burger and fries(bacon, blue cheese, onions, vinegar, and (optional condiments) mustard. I got the chicken and waffles with pineapple casserole. You get 4 large pieces of chicken on a beautifully cooked waffle with a sweet syrup and fresh bacon pieces! I loved every bite!! 💜💜 Husband's burger is his second favorite burger! If you live energetic, sparky, and lively people, all for a section with Skyler! They offer a southern comfort food plus cocktails.🍸🍹 They’re know for their green fried tomatoes with goat cheese. We definitely ordered this and it was delicious! 😋 My sister and I ordered the shrimp 🍤 and grits, my sister loved it. It was ok for me. I forget the reason I didn’t like it. I only recall that it was different than most shrimp and grits. The place is clean. Our server was excellent. 👍🏼We bumped into a friend who was dining there as well. We had a fun time. This is by far the worst restaurant experience that I've ever had. I Placed my order and was served within 10 mins. The restaurant was empty, and that should have been a sign but I felt maybe rush hour was over. After taking 2 bites of my food, I noticed a roach crawling on my table. I quickly informed the waitress, who surprisingly said "well this is an old building". WTHeck. Then she asked me would I like something else?!! The nerve...The only thing I wanted was to get out of there, never to return. I will NEVER go to this restaurant again. Nor would I recommend it to anyone else

Abysmal. Service was slow (lack of staff) the guy who sat us ignored us as he was on the phone threw the menus on the table and walked off. We waited for 15min to have our order taken. Server was nice that was the only good thing My cocktails were hot. They built the drink and added the ice to the top. Disgusting. The table was sticky and dirty. The portion size was tiny. I ordered dessert and that took so long that when it came to the table the ice cream had literally melted into a milkshake. DO NOT GO HERE. It was truly the worst meal/experience we have had. I would genuinely give it negative stars but you can't.

The 11th and Bay Southern Table is a rustic-chic bistro and bar that puts a contemporary spin on beloved Southern classics. With both indoor and outdoor seating, this establishment offers a unique dining experience. The reviews of this restaurant are perplexing as it seems to have everything one could ask for. The exceptional service provided by the waitstaff leaves diners in awe. The food itself is sourced from local farms, cooked to perfection, and exceptionally delicious.
I am honestly confused on how this restaurant doesn’t have perfect reviews. Our waiter was incredible. The food was locally farm sourced, cooked perfectly, and outstandingly delicious. Nice place. Fresh menu, nice ambience, great service. Shrimp and grits was a tasty item not seen much where I'm from in the midwest. The wait for food was long but not unreasonably so (50 minutes). The staff apologized profusely and took off more than half our bill (we didn't complain). Would go back.

On November 11, 2023, We had the pleasure of dining at 11th and Bay Southern Table, a remarkable restaurant at 1050 Bay Ave, Columbus, GA 31901. My sister-in-law, Micki Sanders-Brooks, heartily recommended this establishment, and it has quickly become one of the best dining experiences I've had the pleasure of reviewing. The restaurant's location is fantastic, offering ample parking for guests. As you step through the doors, you're embraced by a warm, homely atmosphere that sets the stage for a memorable culinary journey. Our party consisted of 11 people, and I must commend our waitress, Lisa, for her exceptional service. She went above and beyond to ensure that every need of ours was not only met but exceeded. Now, let's talk about the food – a true highlight of our visit. We began with the Table Biscuits accompanied by Georgia Jams Apple Butter. These were delightful mini biscuits, and the Georgia jams apple butter was a revelation in flavor. The Smoked Oysters served with Fried Saltines, Paprika Oil, Lemon Aioli, and Chives were a hit, especially with my wife, who couldn't get enough of them. For our main courses, we savored the Oven Roasted Salmon with Soy Butter Bok Choy, Black Rice, Trumpet Mushroom, Lemon Aioli, and Gari. The flavors melded together seamlessly, creating a culinary masterpiece. The Bone-In Pork Chop, served with Butternut Squash, Brussel Sprouts, Celery & Turnip Root Puree, and Apple Mostarda, stood out. It was one of the best Bone-In Pork Chops I've ever had – tender, succulent, and bursting with flavor. Our meal was so generous that we regrettably had to forgo dessert on this occasion. However, I'm eagerly looking forward to indulging in their desserts during my next visit. In summary, 11th and Bay Southern Table has the best combination of location, service, food, and atmosphere in Columbus, GA. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience. It unquestionably deserves my 5-star Rating.

The best meal I’ve had anywhere! Easily better than the fine dining places I’ve been to in Atlanta. The pork chop is perfection; the desserts, divine. You can smell the good time you’re in for before you even get through the door. Steaks so tender they fall right off the bone. Truly, a spiritual experience.

The food was great and the service is awesome. Been here a couple times and I can’t say enough how happy I am with the waiters and waitresses. The main problem is that the times we came, the atmosphere left something to be desired in some way. Old patio screens look dingy and gross. Some things look old and rustic and some things are just old and need to be replaced. Our last visit, my wife and I decided to spend our anniversary here. They played Charlie Brown Christmas, over and over and over again for the 2 hours. I get it, we are close to Christmas but can we play some Christmas music, or anything else? It was fine in the beginning but it really ruined the vibe when I memorized the lines of that movie by the end of our date. Also, small note, we have spent 150-250$ each time we came. The anniversary date, which they knew about, came with nothing for us. I didn’t pay attention to this but my wife noted that every time we have gone somewhere else that costs that much, we get something on the house even if it’s a little bit of chocolate and a flower and sometimes the whole dessert. For that kind of money, they should have a more clean and updated feel and overall atmosphere.

Cocktail menu was unique, the shrimp and grits were a nice size portion and well spiced, the caramel cheesecake with Brûlée banana was to die for. All the flavors were interesting and different. The staff was very friendly and professional.

TLDR: Go there. (GF options) Loved it!!! Nothing bad to say about this place. If you can go ask for Bo, he’s an exceptional waiter. The drinks (including mocktail) were 10/10, food was 10/10, service was 10/10, atmosphere was 10/10. Thank you for such a great time Bo and the 11th and Bay team!

I had really high hopes for 11th & Bay. A few people told me about it and after reading reviews I thought it would be the perfect for Valentine’s Day dinner. We were able to reserve in advance and that was a plus. My husband got the Lamb and I got the Grouper. I have enjoyed grouper a couple of other places in Columbus and on vacation in Florida so I was eager to try it with the spinach and sweet potato. Unfortunately, it was a little dry and lacked flavor. My husband’s Lamb was flavorful and cooked to his perfection. It came with a relish that was detectible. We used some of the relish and the potato puree to spruce up the grouper. Our waitress was attentive, pleasant, and inviting. The atmosphere was styled eclectic, with repurposed furniture with hints of farmhouse, rustic, and elegance. The portions to pricing ratio was decent although the menu items are limited with additional charges to substitute the set dinners.

Great service and amazing food. Everyone I talked to recommended this restaurant as the one thing I needed to do while I was in town and they did not steer me wrong. Can't wait for my next trip.

Easily our favorite. The service is always perfectly timed and delightful. The food is out of this world. Heather, the chef-owner is brilliant! She rotates seasonal dishes and uses local ingredients to make every meal fresh and interesting.
