Reflection Lakes, located within Mount Rainier National Park, are a must-see destination for visitors. These serene bodies of water are renowned for their vibrant spring wildflowers and the stunning reflection of picturesque Mount Rainier in their clear waters. While it is recommended to visit Reflection Lakes after reaching the peak, it can be visited either way. A wide-angle lens is recommended to capture the perfect shot of the mountain's reflection on a calm and clear day with no rain or wind interference.
Breathtaking view! Didn't hike around the trail. The viewpoint is enough for us to enjoy. Came twice after sunset and cloudy afternoon. The reflection is clearer after sunset.

One of the best places I have ever been to. Absolutely stunning! I will definitely come back every year. I highly recommend it to everyone visiting Seattle. You won't regret it!

Snowshoed here in late March. No visibility of Mt Rainier on the day I was there, but the craggy rocks in the other direction were nice. Peaceful, only one or two other groups there on a Saturday. Trail from parking lot well marked.

This is a must visit inside mount rainier national park . This is on the wAy from to the rainier peak . Generally you can do it on the way back once u finish visiting the peak… tough to get a perfect reflection if there the water is muffled… you will get perfect shots if there is no rain and the wind is less . Take a good wide angle lens with u .. phone pics are decent too. Take care of mosquitoes 🦟 or insects when you go down the steps to the water front . Bend down and take low angled shots for getting any reflection. Overall loved this spot ! 👍👍😳

Short window of time throughout the year where the lake is thawed and you can get a good reflection. Usually just mid July-September. The lake is a small, roadside lake off Stevens Canyon Road, just outside of Paradise where the lodge and visitor center are. About a 5min-7min drive up to the top of Paradise from the lake theres a small trail meandering through the trees on the shore. Please, stay on the trail. DO NOT venture off and go past the ropes. They're there for a very important reason.. Humans destroyed this lake at one time, and they've been working very hard to restore it and allow the lake to heal and regrow all the surrounding vegetation. The plants and flowers are still young and humans walking on them will destroy their growth. When the Mountain isnt covered by thick clouds and fog (which she often is), you'll have the most perfect unobstructed view of her right about the pine trees. when the water is calm and there's no wind (only 2x a day for an extremely short amount of time), you will get a perfect reflection of her Majesty, upon the glasslike water. It's pretty incredible, if your able to time it, just right 😉 Good luck! 🤞

I don't think saying this will make this place crowded as getting up early in the morning on a vaction is not easy. Be there just about Sunrise. You will be just stunned with serenity of this place. I am out of words to describe the mystic morning. Another thing to like about this place is, you can access without any hiking which is great for people who has some trouble. The routine I would suggest would be, do this first thing in the morning (no hike), then do the Skyline loop trail and finish off the day by visiting Narada falls.
Manoj — Google review
An absolute classic. For the best images or viewing, be sure to arrive at sunrise. You also have the benefit of having a clear reflection and less of a crowd that time of day.

Nice and pristine lake. Nice views of the mountain. Beautiful scenery all around the park. Not much time to spend if you don't go for trails.
Murali — Google review
We were lucky to have found a perfect reflection this time. Otherwise either the lake will be filled with snow in winters or will be dry and muddy in summers or will be windy and the waves on water will not allow the reflection to be seen. But it's a nice trail to walk along the lake.
mahima prabhu — Google review
Went close to sunset. Didn't see any reflection which was disappointing. But scenery was awesome

A must visit site inside mount Rainer national park. Breathtaking view. You will get perfect reflection if there is no wind. Short walk from parking spot.
Bony ROY — Google review
Recently visited Reflections Lake, which was still frozen and covered in snow(yes on May 29, 2023), making it less enjoyable. But the trip wasn't a total letdown as the drive itself was beautiful, and other attractions like Narada Falls definitely added value to the journey. Good for a drive, but be aware of the seasonal conditions of the lake and check before driving here.

Waterfalls
Waterfall tumbling 72 ft. into a rugged gorge, with snow-capped Mount Rainier in the background.
You can park in the parking lot at Paradise, there are restrooms and a ranger station. There are several different hiking trails but Myrtle Falls is the shortest ( .4 miles) I believe. it can be steep for some but well worth the view. The wildflowers are amazing and you can smell the aroma as well. There are stairs down to view the falls, they are steep but they are manageable. Great place for photographs. You can view the falls, the bridge with Mt. Rainier in the background.
Liannys Polanco — Google review
The hike is a little steep bit definitely worth the view. The view of the waterfalls is absolutely mesmerizing. There is a bridge that takes you across the waterfall. Also there’s stairs on the side that lead you to a viewpoint that shows the waterfall from a distance. Plenty of parking near the starting point.

Just 10 minutes from the public parking. Easy and short of the trail. Very beautiful waterfall with a spectacular background of Mt. Rainier. Recommend to come here on the spring and summer season.

The weather was super nice today!! Always double check weather forecast, last time I came was all foggy, there’s also a rainier mountain cam that you can check the weather with. Didn’t get up to the panorama viewpoint but the waterfall was breath taking😍(but A LOT of people) (Pricing photo is attached in the end) And as we were heading down around 6ish? There was like a couple miles long wait long ∑(゚Д゚)😨so GO EARLY!!

Beautiful views and hike. Easy to access from parking lot, we ventured in early June while snow was heavily prevalent. Wonderful signature location for Rainer National Park.

Please visit these falls. It is a one mile walk on a paved road from the visitor center. You will enjoy seeing some great views of the snow covered mountain. We also saw some deer roaming in the wild.
Amitabh Mathur — Google review
Nice waterfall and only a short hike to get there. The hike to the falls is paved except for the part going down to get a nicer view of the water fall. There are benches to sit on while taking a break.

The magnificence of Mount Rainier is beyond words. This is a brief, 1-mile hike starting from Paradise. The trail is stroller-friendly up to the wooden bridge. It's an excellent choice for beginners of all ages to enjoy a relatively easy and awe-inspiring hike.
Fluffy Foody — Google review
If your the type of person that like outdoors this is the best and beautiful place to visit. There's lots of trails to follow and place to camp out right below the peak of the mountain. Lots of people going there to see the place. So beautiful summer time
Jess Taitano — Google review
Surreal. Come at 7:30am and there was pretty much no one around. I had the entire waterfall for myself. Best time to visit in the summer: -early morning before 8:30am (you can stay at paradise inn). - evening after 7pm when most people already are leaving for home.
Carl Liu — Google review
Myrtle Falls is absolutely stunning. We went in the summer. The snow on the walking path was melted and you could walk a good distance on it. Keep a good hold of your little ones as there are sheer drops. Great for the whole family. Just be safe.
Mandy M — Google review
Short hike with slight elevation gain for gorgeous views of Mt Rainer and valley. Autumn is one of the best times of year to visit. Go first thing in the morning to beat the rush of vehicles at the gate and see the sunrise.
Jennifer Hehn — Google review
Great little hike. The way there is mostly paved and cleared. However, there is a decent amount of elevation gain. I recommend continuing on past the falls and into the upper meadows area. Great place to spot a marmot and sometimes a black bear.
Chris Koslin — Google review
Beautiful waterfall and view of Mount Rainier. We were able to find parking at the lower lot on a Friday around 10:30 but the main lot was already full when we arrived. Tons of people but totally worth it for a first time visitor and guests from out of town. Absolutely beautiful early August with warm weather. Saw beautiful wild flowers and wildlife on the way. Less than a mile that's paved all the way. The stairs down to the waterfall view can be a little steep or little ones or the elderly.
Kelly Kang — Google review
I visited this waterfall in the snow season with basic gear, and it was doable. It's so much better in the summer as there's not 6 feet of snow. It's definitely a nice easy trail on a paved surface.
Richard Kelly — Google review
This waterfall is a fairly short hike from the Paradise Visitor Center. On a sunny day, you get an amazing view of Mount Rainier behind the waterfall. Stunning photo opportunities from here. There’s a slight elevation gain to get to the falls, but the trail is paved.

Keep it in the list of must visit places for the summer. Start midnight, reach there before 4:30am, carry ample warm clothing, and chairs. Sit back and see the rainier turn orange at sunrise. It’s definitely a sight to behold. We reached around 3:30am and did star gazing, we went upto the visitor Center and did a small hike up to find the perfect place for a spectacular view. On returning back we stopped at the sunrise point for some more breathtaking views
Akanksha Pattnaik — Google review
Gorgeous views from here. Meadows are sprinkled with wildflowers here and there. Parking is easy too. If you drive down from here to lake side, there’s about a mile plus hike down the view point that’s very pretty. We have to be careful with little kids though as it’s steep on one side of the path.
La N — Google review
We were there for sunset and night stargazing. Never have I seen a sunset as beautiful as this one. Night trek was scary but totally worth it. Got a chance to see some shooting stars. Do not forget to carry a night torch and aim to trek down around midnight if you are not staying back for sunrise. It can get pretty chilly at night so make sure you carry a winter jacket with you.
Abhijeet Sogani — Google review
Beautiful - even with the sky filled with smoke from local fires. Four stars because there did not seem to be any really accessible paths and the historic gas station didn't meet expectations.
jem brickner — Google review
one of my favorite places in mount ranier, gorgeous views and beautiful stars. if you do go please no flashlights or car lights on during the night time, the last time i went the parking lot was full of people using light which made it impossible to see the meteor showers. pack in pack out! sunrise point seems to have attracted people who litter :/
astrid johnson — Google review
Best place to see the night sky. A must visit place if you want to do Amateur astronomy and enjoy the beauty of star gazing. You have that view way early before sunrise and then the stunning view of Mt. Rainer The drive to get here is two hours from Seattle, once you are in the parking area, you’ll be able to see a nearly unobstructed view of the entire night sky. This is incredibly popular for stargazing enthusiasts, and for the Milky Way. When visiting here, please remember to limit the use of flashlights and the lights of your car.
Jitendra Keswani — Google review
Such a beautiful drive up view of Mt. Rainer! Plenty of parking and even caught service. Came here when most of the hikes were covered in snow and this did not disappoint
