Restaurant
The Blue Point in Duck, NC is a laid-back spot offering locally sourced, high-end seafood and Southern cuisine with a creative twist. Since 1989, this restaurant has been serving flavorful dishes made with the freshest ingredients. The menu features a variety of options from homemade pasta to the catch of the day, all complemented by housemade custom cocktails.
Blue Point is a fantastic special dining restaurant! Located overlooking the bay, the views are wonderful. The staff are always friendly and attentive, the chef's creations are on point, and the mixed drinks are tasty. Be sure to order the oyster stew while it's in season; the shift to she-crab soup over the dinner months. I also appreciate that the wait staff and chefs are very attentive to my food allergies! Blue Point is definitely a must for a special occasion in OBX.

BEST PORK CHOP EVER. So what if I order a pork chop at ever restaurant that boasts one. I expect pork perfection - and The Blue Point achieved it. Pork excellence! This chop was beyond good. It had this crust with a bacon essence that just made me laugh it was so good. And the bread pudding had the perfect savoriness. Oh my word! It’s a must try! My hubs got the crab cakes - also VERY GOOD. But the night belonged to Porky-God rest his soul. He was VERY good.

Had a wonderful meal there the other evening. The Tuna special was cooked to perfection! The staff was beyond friendly and the experience was overall wonderful! The only detractor was a lack of bug traps/lights to keep the many local bugs away from food for the outdoor seating area. Not a deal breaker but I ended up fishing bugs out of my wine most of the night. However this comes with the territory. Would recommend this OBX classic to anybody!!

The best meal we had in Duck. Would come back in a heartbeat. Service was excellent. And the pecan pie? Best I've ever had. We watched the sunset from the bar next door after our meal. One of my favourite holiday memories 😍

Our second trip to Duck and the blue point. Our first was back in early June 2020, right after restaurants had opened back up. Both times the Food selections were great, making it hard to decide what to order. I had a delicious small plate of pork belly with the most delicious pimento cheese polenta! Our group of six shared bites of all our food and desserts! Everything , including wine & cocktails, was spectacular! This will always be on our itinerary when we visit the Outer Banks! I wish we lived closer!

Addie was a very kind and personable server. Her recommendations were spot on, and you really get to feel like a “local.” The views of the sound are great, if you’re lucky enough to get one of those tables. The menu was pricy, but the quality was on par with the prices. Had an amazing dinner, and the overall experience was wonderful. Highly recommend the sweet potato biscuits with country ham!

The Blue Point has been my and my husband’s favorite restaurant on the Outer Banks since we first encountered it in the 1990s. We watched it with interest during the dot-com rise and fall. We’ve enjoyed the renovations large and small. The food – main stage – has never failed to please us. Recently we brought our two adult children for the first time. Their are dining out standards are high and they were entirely happy dining at the blue point. I don’t want to forget to say that the service by experienced servers leaves nothing to complain about, only compliment. Thank you.

6/1/23: Amongst the best food experience ever! The Fried Green Tomatoes had a nice crunch outside and were perfect inside. The ribs were amazing. The tuna was excellent as was the shrimp & grits. The service was wonderful; thank you all (Chef, Kitchen, Sara L and the complete staff).

One of our favorites and one of the best in OBX. Excellent food and service. An added bonus is the amazing sunsets over the sound. Advance reservations are an absolute must.

Flavorful food in a very friendly environment! There is something for everyone. Indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the Inlet. Perfect for watching sunsets with your favorite cocktail or while enjoying your meal. Plenty of parking. You can walk the boardwalk afterwards. Highly recommended when in the OBX!
Luis Lluberas — Google review
Almost everything we had was delicious! The drinks and wine were great and the crab cakes and tuna special were very good. The pecan pie and bourbon ice cream was incredible! Although we were very annoyed that the $6 “bread basket” was a bland piece of baguette that could have been given for free or even just left off the menu. Would return again and just not order the bread :)
Aimee Shafer — Google review
The food and service are both great. If I could give the atmosphere 6 stars I would. The vibe inside is great and the sunset views over the sound are unbeatable. Ok onto the food....the biscuits w jam appetizer is AWESOME. We split shrimp and grits which was delicious. The medley of mushrooms with potatoes and green beans was very flavorful. The Mac n cheese needed a little more flavor but there's no way overall this place gets less than five stars. Will definitely be back!
Michael Costanzo — Google review
Excellent spot for dinner. Their menu is small so you know each dish is masterfully curated. I got the down south shrimp and grits and was very happy with my choice. And if you time your dinner right, you can catch the sunset right afterwards at their back bar complete with Adirondack chairs along the bay.
Ryan Janelli — Google review
We had a fantastic dinner at The Blue Point las evening. The bar tender was wonderful, and our dinner was delicious. We enjoyed the oyster stew, shrimp & grits, and pecan pie with bourbon ice cream. The evening was made even more enjoyable with a phenomenal old fashion and exceptional service!
Lizzie Schratz — Google review
Host was very accommodating despite not having a recommended reservation. Waited only 45 minutes for bar seating while we got drinks out back and enjoyed the amazing view of the sunset. Once seated, the food and service inside continued as amazing as the outdoor view. Both seafood and pork were delicious. Try as much of the menu as you can and you won't be disappointed.

Everything about this restaurant is perfect. The food was incredible. My husband had the scallops and I enjoyed the crab cakes. The wine selection was excellent and the desserts were amazing. Their staff is so attentive and knowledgeable. This is my favorite restaurant in OBX!

AQUA Restaurant is a unique dining spot that combines a restaurant and spa concept, offering locally sourced cuisine in an oceanfront setting with a deck. It's known for its spectacular ocean views from the wrap-around porch, providing seating on a first come, first served basis. The establishment is popular among families and offers a child-friendly environment. Visitors can enjoy excellent food, friendly service, live music, and an amazing view at this waterfront dining destination in Duck.
We had a party of 8 and a great evening. Dinner was artfully presented. The filet was cooked perfectly and the palenta was the best I have ever had. Bread served beforehand was warm and delicious. My only regret was not saving room for dessert.
Michelle Mariea — Google review
Dined here with my partner on a Saturday afternoon during sunset. Off-season is lovely, it was not busy at all and we got to enjoy a very quiet dinner together. Paige took very good care of us and was so amazing to us - we discovered some ants on the wall by our table so she gave us a discount on our bill. I had the fish special (cobia - delicious!!) and my partner had the chicken breast. We both immensely enjoyed our meals and got the peanut butter pie to go which was to die for. Beautiful atmosphere and location, and the experience was so pleasant throughout.

Worth every penny, every time!!! Best food I’ve ever had & will be returning every year!!! JB was our server for the second year in a row and he provided excellent service, yet again! The restaurant staff was very attentive and the food was delicious! I usually get the fresh catch of the day but this year decided to try duck for the first time and I was absolutely blown away! And I don’t know how they did it but the scallop add-on to the entree were the best we’ve ever had anywhere. Truly a remarkable experience! The only thing that could have made this experience better was if they brought back the lobster Mac and cheese ♥️ See you again next year, Aqua!!!
Destiny Knetzer — Google review
A lovely high end restaurant in Duck with awesome sunset views on the sound. Reservations for 3 were impossible to get on a Saturday evening when we visited. There is limited outside seating, but it proved to be a little too hot about an hour before sunset. We did enjoy drinks and an appetizer in the air conditioned bar. The restaurant was only half full with empty tables for 2 or large parties of six. Seating options should be reviewed to accommodate more parties There was seating outside and live music. The sunset views are worth the trip to Duck. However most of the shops along the boardwalk closed at 4 when many dinner seekers were wandering about. This was the last weekend of September, so this may have impacted merchants and restaurants.

This is always a pleasant experience. Our servers are always very warm and chatty, and helpful with the menu. The food is very well done, though the lunch menu doesn't have tons of options. My husband ordered their poke bowl with local tuna and I the banging shrimp tacos. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals - both dishes had a good amount of meat and we're very flavorful. Their cocktails are also a favorite.
Emily Koneski — Google review
Awesome place. The food is excellent, the waiters very friendly and the view is just amazing. Live music. We had a fantastic time on that spot.🐬

Probably the best place in town; maybe even all of outer banks. I came for lunch and dinner, and both experiences were great. For lunch, I had their sweet corn and crab soup that had a truffle oil drizzle. One of the best soups I've ever had. Not overly sweet, and you could taste the corn, which paired so well with the truffle oil, which didn't overpower the dish, either. The charcuterie board was nice. The cheeses were great; one of them was, also, truffle infused, and the peach puree was really good. For dinner, I had the shrimp and grits which were so good. The thing that stood out the most was the shishito pepper coulis. It was such a nice accent to the culmination of flavors and creamy grits. I went with the chocolate torte for dessert. The chocolate was so rich. The almond ice cream really helped mellow it out, and it was so creamy. They had an oatmeal cinnamon roll stout on tap that was delicious, which I had with lunch and dinner. Overall, a great experience.

What a special night we had, everything was utterly perfect. From the seared tuna, fresh crab cakes, roasted duck, local legend JB waiting on us hand and foot w excellent timing and dinner suggestions, to top it off they sang us Happy Birthday and gave us the most delicious chocolate creation I have ever had.

After a poor experience at a different establishment we had left, we decided to come here. We had a great experience. We only had about a 20 minute wait on a busy Saturday night. We were seated outside, allowing us to see the sunset. Our waiter Bryan was great. He was very attentive and helpful. We got the catch of the day, Golden Tile Fish and it was AMAZING. It was beautifully seared with a nice crust, with a soft but firm center. We also got the sweet corn crab soup and a caesar salad with scallops added on. The soup was delicious, the corn flavor was a nice touch and there was a ton of crab meat in it. The Caesar salad was a perfect size and the scallops were very big and perfectly seared. Our mixed drinks were also made very well. The experience, food, and service was very exceptional. I would definitely recommend this.

Great restaurant by the water in Duck, NC. They have two outdoor seating areas, one in front of the restaurant and one to the side where you can see the sunset. There is live entertainment nightly so that is a nice plus. We got the bang bang shrimp and it was delicious on top of a slaw. All of us got the duck. The skin is crispy and savory. The duck meat was tender and juicy and it was served on hominy corn. Quite an interesting combination and delicious. Cocktails are great here with many unique choices.
Thu-Nga Ortega, DDS, MAGD — Google review
Such a unique and incredible dining experience. They have a spa upstairs? So cool. Atmosphere is great right on the water and they have fans by all the tables which was a nice touch. Service was great the entire staff seems very passionate about the restaurant. They also apparently change up the menu every year so things don’t get boring and the food is so well thought out and delicious. If I had the critique the vegetarian curry dish wasn’t my favorite, but a great option for people who don’t eat meat and they even have a thing on their menu that they can cater to guests with allergies or dietary restrictions. But I got the duck to go and it was incredible! My fiancé said his salmon was the best he had ever had. And the cheesecake was mindblowing! 10/10 experience will be back when we are in the area and so worth it, the prices are very reasonable for what I feel is practically fine dining.

I'm combing two reviews into one: Last year just the wife and I came here on a weekend getaway and enjoyed a romantic dinner with a view of the water. I think Paige was our waitress; and she was awesome. She guided us through a wine selection and able to speak to specifics with the menu. It was a fantastic experience, soup to nuts, as they say. The flavors of everything were defining and memorable. We spook to friends about this place glowingly. I had a filet, and the wife enjoyed a salmon dish. I'll put the pictures in the review. Seriously, the flavors were like you would encounter with eating great sushi with layers of tastes. Five stars, literally 5+ Hefty bill but to be expected and for us it was special and worth it. A memory was definitely made. Our second visit was this past weekend with our friends who joined us on our trip to OBX. I made reservations for four, and we were all really excited to try this spot. I picked three possible places, and we all opted for this one, given our past experience. The waiter was fantastic, (apologies for not remembering his name), and we couldn't have had better service. The food was just under whelming this time. The crab dip was ok, not one we could say was really good. It says lump crab meat, but it was really more of a whipped consistency. Knowing the menu changed a bit was not concerning, but in the end it did matter. We ordered filet, sirloin, crab cakes and salmon entrees. Sadly, there was no wow moment. The bed of potatoes, squash, zucchini, pearl onions, and asparagus was bland. The lemon and thyme fava beans for the salmon just didn't work. I like fava beans, but this did nothing for the palette. The crab cakes were really good and the pickled ginger slaw was delightful. Sorry guys, I wanted this to be a home run, but presentation is only half of the experience. You are always left with how it tastes at the end, not how it looked. No one in the group was raving about their meal which is really telling. We can enjoy a great pizza at a hole in the wall or dine in some really nice places. For both trips, the outdoor music and watching a sunset is the best. So, it's a five-star and three-star experience for us.

We had an absolutely fantastic dinner at AQUA. JB was our server and he was amazing! He tended to our every need to include apps, dinner, drinks and dessert. We enjoyed calamari (outstanding), shrimp app, crab app, crab cakes, tuna and several desserts. The view was amazing too! We will definitely be back.

Restaurant
The Paper Canoe is a charming waterside restaurant in Duck, NC, offering stunning sunset views and coastal cuisine. This intimate dining spot is known for its custom Martinis and warm ambiance with unobstructed views of the Currituck Sound. The menu features fresh dishes made daily using local ingredients, including a variety of seafood options as well as chicken and steak choices.
Went here for dinner one night and was just blown away. Started with the crab dip and duck spring rolls both of which were phenomenal. For the starter I had the crab stuffed shrimp which was amazing. Everything from the sauce to the cornbread just made this a whole experience. Overall a great atmosphere inside and with sunset views over the sound you can’t beat it!!
Tucker Crook — Google review
Paper Canoe is the best restaurant in the Outer Banks bar none. We visit nearly every time we're in the area (10+ years of vacationing here) and we've never had bad food, drinks, or hospitality. The restaurant is perfectly quaint and cozy. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. And the food is some of the best my family has ever eaten. Seats in the bar area offer a picturesque view of sunsets over the Pamlico Sound. Order the shrimp and grits and a canoe 75, you won't regret it! Special thank you to the host staff and server, Brad, for another great evening at Paper Canoe. See you next year!
Ian Sullivan — Google review
Tl;Dr: The best restaurant in Duck. That’s it. Nothing else comes close This restaurant does not only just produce tremendous food, but they do it consistently. I am writing this review after visiting the paper canoe for the 3rd time. I have ordered different menu items, while my partner has only ordered the scallops as “they have the best scallops I’ve ever had in my life”. She has gone so far as to stop ordering scallops elsewhere as The Paper Canoe has ruined all other scallops for her, as they are just so good. The paper canoe is one of the, if not the best restaurant we have dined at. The atmosphere is top tier, and if you book your reservations the right time, you’ll be able to watch the sun set while you dine. The beauty of nature, mixed with the pure culinary skill of the chef, and the professionalism of the staff make this so much more than a restaurant, it’s an experience. I can not recommend The Paper Canoe enough. 15/10 And attached are photos of the scallop entree, the cast iron shrimp and grits, and the sweet and sour lemonade w/ edible straw
Thomas Olson — Google review
It's pricey but the food tasted delicious. The ambience is not super nice but the sunset view is a plus. We got the stuffed shrimp and the lobster ravioli. Both were something you wouldn't get anywhere else or make at home so that justifies the price. Lol. Staying at the Sanderling it's an easy walk away.

Excellent experience and amazing food. Travelled from Corolla to Duck for this reservation and it was worth the short drive. Best tomato soup ever, giant and delicious scallops.

Service was top tier! Our waitress, Alta, was super sweet and friendly, and the food was scrumptious! Will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Toni Bernard — Google review
We ordered 2 different entrees and shared half of each with one another. When our waitress asked which we preferred we replied, "They were equally exemplary." The duck spring rolls with Asian slaw was the perfect appetizer. The photos were taken in low light and are misleading and unflattering. Presentation was excellent and the dishes were quite appetizing.
Larry Frascarelli — Google review
Incredible!!!! Some of the best fresh snapper i have ever had also... the salad with the lime dressing was outstanding... I also thought the tomato soup was some of the best I ever had. The sauce on the lobster ravioli was also another star of the show. The service was very quick, knowledgeable, and polite our server was awsome and recommended the fried oysters that turned out to be awsome also really the best restaurant in the outer banks that we have come across ... WE WILL BE BACK

Delicious main courses, very nice staff. Fresh Catch (not necessarily local) is wonderfully prepared. Shrimp and grits had a fabulous flavor but was very spicy which will delight heat lovers, but not non heat appreciators. Key lime nice but different than expected as is round. Lemon marsc was tasty but not exceptional. A must stop in the next time I come to OBX as one of the best. Sunset hot spot.

I believe this is a five star restaurant, definitely on the higher end of good food done well. Having said that and I'll add pictures in awhile, we went there on a fixed menu for Thanksgiving so they could have been short staffed in kitchen and dining room. I'm not familiar with normal dining pace but it took 3 hours and 15 minutes for 3 of us.....kind of on the long side. Huge lag between dinner and dessert. Pluses were the french onion soup which was exquisite. Also the duck wontons were amazing. The beef wellington was melt in your mouth but my turkey was overcooked and salty. The apple wellington was super bland but the ice cream was yummy. Bread was fresh and soft (but its bread so limited comments here). The cranberry sauce was perfect, the mashed potatoes were bland but the green beans were perfectly cooked. Waiter did a good job keeping drinks filled but again plates sat a bit long and pacing was off (this was kitchen not him). Will come again NOT on a fixed menu. Also gave a really cute cookie that was pretty yummy to us when we left. Charming restaurant overall. Great job guys.

I have to say I was very much looking forward to eating here-and was surprised on a Tuesday in late October at 5pm the place was very busy. Atmosphere was nice and our waitress was very thorough and efficient. First was surprised to see the online menu differ so much from the menu given to us (only a handful of choices in the restaurant). The appetizer-crab dip was very good but the crostinis given with it were like bricks but luckily we had bread do we used that. Husband got a salad which he enjoyed-nice and fresh. Now the entree-roasted chicken-super dry, au-gratin potatoes had a very oily blah taste to them and the Brussel sprouts were over charred. My husband had gotten the same thing and his was identical-So obviously was disappointed in the main course. Waitress noticed I hadn’t eaten much of my food and offered a free dessert which was nice. Hubby brought home a piece of key lime pie but wasn’t thrilled with it. Overall would we return -probably not especially with the limited menu.

My husband and I went here on a date here on a Monday evening. I would recommend making a reservation at least a week out, they do offer walk in seating as well. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed. They offer mostly fish/seafood with one chicken and one steak option. The key lime pie was absolutely to die for!!

Easy to find with ample parking. The atmosphere is very good. I recommend getting reservations around sunset as the view is excellent. The food is outstanding. The beef wellington was done perfectly. Service is top-notch. The restaurant is located right on the beach.

The food was really moist and filling. We got the crab stuffed shrimp with the asparagus and cornbread. It is more on the expensive side but it is definitely worth it. Definitely suggest going there for date night or special evening with a loved one(s).

We eat at a new restaurant every week. We have for the last twelve years. This place was on my "to do" list for at least ten years. With that build up, it would be easy to over hype it in my mind. That said, I had the best dining experience of my life! Our waiter was Milan. He chose the drinks, the meals, the wine, the desserts, without prompting. He was instrumental in this experience. He chose things I would never have picked on my own, and he chose some of my favorites. They all were phenomenal! It's been a couple weeks and I'm still excited when I think about the experience. Make reservations far in advance. I cannot wait to go back.

One of our go-to places in the northern beaches. Intimate, great views, attentive servers. We’d been there many times before I actually tried the shrimp and grits. Normally a staid outer bank’s staple this was a smoky bbq inspired item that rang the bell for me. Brad insisted I pair it with a Malbec I never would have tried. What a combination! Great place!

NC Coast Grill & Bar is a casual dining option with a nautical theme, offering a variety of seafood and meat dishes along with craft cocktails and scenic water views. The restaurant features an open kitchen, concrete bar, and upscale coastal decor that creates a lively and relaxed atmosphere for gathering with family and friends. With its waterfront location, it provides impressive Currituck Sound and sunset views as well as outdoor dining on the Duck boardwalk.
We were here for Christmas Eve dinner while on vacation. Parking is very limited. They offered the Chef's Board as their dinner offering to share. There were two of us and it was plenty of food, plus dessert. It was amazing! It was a sampling of their menu and an excellent way to try out a restaurant you've never been to. The atmosphere and staff were friendly and welcoming. We made reservations since it was a holiday and were seated immediately. Open kitchen, indoor and outdoor seating. Great beer selection. Beautiful view of the sunset right on the water. We look forward to returning on our next vacation. It's a must!

Had an amazing birthday dinner with my wife and son. Jackie, our server, was great and helped us with our questions about the menu. My Tomahawk ribeye was out of this world. My wife's Blood Orange Scallops were perfectly seasoned and grilled. The shrimp and grits didn't stand a chance against my 17 yr old's appetite. Everything was amazing and made for a great finish to a great day. Thank you, and we will definitely return!

Loved this place. The food was phenomenal! The service was great! But pretty much every person in our party struggled with the silverware. The shape was unusual and it was hard to grip. It wasn’t very accessible to people who have hand issues. On a lighter note, the view is amazing! We got to catch a really unique sunset, like we hadn’t ever seen before. The restaurant is right on the water!

Great atmosphere, great service and maybe the best pork chop I've ever had. If you're in the Outer Banks, I highly recommend the place. Claire steered us to the best dishes on the menu. We ended up there two nights in a row. Just go, you won't be disappointed!

While looking around for a place to eat supper, we decided to try this place. We had never been in the area so we didn't know what was good. It's probably off-season, but the place was about full. It's a fairly small but lively place. We were seated in just a few minutes. The food was absolutely wonderful.

We would advise anyone who travels into Duck, North Carolina to treat themselves to the absolute best restaurant in town. Not only does it have a fantastic location to some of the most beautiful sunsets on the east coast, it also has the most delicious food and incredible staff in the Outer Banks. Jamie is an amazing manager and we were lucky to have two incredible young men as our waiters since during our one week trip we couldn’t just have dinner there once. That’s how incredible this place is. Grayson is the most best waiter we’ve ever had and Caleb is very attentive. Seriously consider dinning here. 100% advisable!
Mitzie Cubillo — Google review
Let me start with that our waitress was excellent. We were seating promptly outside under the tent and there’s no control over the hoard of flies that hovered over us. However, the food was not worth the hype. We got the chefs platter. $50 a person. It “looked” incredible. But…the taste was not worth it. The salmon was like sand paper—extremely overcooked. As was the oysters—so dried up it was hard to tell we got any oysters. The steak was not only burnt to a crisp where we only tasted the char from the grill but the fat was still on it and it wasn’t even chewable. With a meal like a chefs platter where it’s supposed to be the best of the best out of the kitchen—it was awful. The only thing that was good on the main course was the side dishes like the risotto underneath the salmon. I will say they redeemed themselves with the beignets. If we could have changed our plans, we would have just gone there for the dessert. (To add, we went to Miller’s a few days later for their lunch—same spectacular view but much better food). Next time, we will just go here for their beignets and skip everything else.

Beautiful location and ambiance! This restaurant gives you the best kind of sunset views! The endless ocean, evening lights, and LIVE music !! Just mesmerizing!! PERFECT DATE NIGHT SPOT!🌅 We were a group of 8 and ordered a variety of food and they were absolutely delicious! I ordered a bowl special recommended from one of the reviews, it wasn’t in the menu, but the server was to the point knowledgeable about every picture in the review. It was served with the special fish of the day. Mahi wasn’t available that day. Their fries were crispy and in good quantity. We ordered a cauliflower item, but it was sweet to our taste. The gochujang sauce was not like we expected. But overall a sweet experience here! Please check with the server what other options they have as their menu ahead only specials and their options are way too many. They also serve burgers, fish and chips, which weren’t in menu. The restrooms were super spacious and clean. Will definitely visit here again!👍🏻

We always look forward to NC Coast Grill & Bar. Highly recommend all menu items. GF options for those with Celiacs. Beautiful waterfront dining on the sound in Duck, along the boardwalk. Sunsets are spectacular. Dog friendly. Suggest parking across the street in Scarborough Shops, as their restaurant lot is small.

What a fabulous Valentine's Day dinner! ❤️ The chef's platter was laden with 8 different entrées, all delicious. The prix fixe meal even included the best beignets north of New Orleans! Our favorite Chef Owned waterfront eatery in Duck NC! Great vibe with delicious food and fabulous sunsets. Everything is cooked to perfection. I had an incredible experience at NC Coast Grill and Bar! The diverse menu catered to both seafood and non-seafood enthusiasts, and I was blown away by the delectable scallops, which might just be the best I've ever tasted. The views, though cloudy during my visit, were still impressive. Unfortunately, we missed out on the famed sunset views. The owners and staff were exceptionally accommodating, even seating our large group of 10 - 12 near closing time. The menu's size was just right, offering a delightful selection without overwhelming choices. A memorable dining spot that I highly recommend!

We had a group of 7 with 3 adults, 2 teens and 2 little ones. They were able to seat us immediately with such a large group which was great. It was raining out so we sat indoors and it’s a very charming and relaxed dining area with fantastic views of the water. The food was solidly good overall. There was a number of gluten free options and the menu was clearly marked to show this. We started with the Mexican Poutine as a group starter - it was very tasty and a great portion size - the pulled pork was very tangy and flavorful and mixed well with the Mexican flavors and fries. I had the Forever Strawberry Field salad with chicken - it was a great portion size, fresh, flavorful and delicious!!. The kids had the creamy Mac and cheese and loved it. The others had the Damn Good Burger and all found it massive, properly cooked to medium, flavorful and really tasty. The food at this place was totally worth it! The server we had seemed very annoyed to be there that day and was not the friendliest unfortunately so she left a bit of a sour experience. For the good food and the location - we would definitely come back!

Had a nice lunch at Red Sky yesterday! They recently remodeled the inside and it looks great. We got the baked brie and quesadilla! Everything was fresh and delicious. Good service as well, will definitely be back again later in summer!

Red Sky Cafe catered our wedding this past September and it was all anyone could talk about. The quality of the food is incredible and we opted for a family style meal which was presented on beautiful wood displays for each table. Their staff was incredibly friendly and you can tell the really enjoy what they do. I was so impressed that not only did they continue to check on our guests, they offered to bring out more food for the tables if guests wanted seconds (a lot of people took them up on this offer) and they were so accommodating to any requests we had. When we did our wedding tasting with them a year ago at NC Grill (their other location), we went at lunch time and decided to go back for dinner later that day because it was that good. Highly recommend!!

We stopped in one evening when another option fell through. It was a Wednesday evening and even though there were 8 of us they were able to seat us outside right away. There is plenty of both outside and inside seating. Our server was friendly and attentive. Everything was delicious! We had several appetizers and I had the special which was a filet with crab meat on top. Everything was cooked perfectly. We would certainly return.

I know this is a good restaurant, but I made reservations for 6:00 p.m. on Saturday May 14th, 2022. I'm in the reservation by calling the restaurant. I got multiple text messages from OpenTable and confirmed when needed. I was told that our reservation was good just a day or two before the date. We arrived to find the restaurant closed. We walked down to NC Coast, a sister restaurant, and had dinner. While we were waiting in the bar, one of the staff told us that they were overbooked on catering, so they had to close that restaurant. There was another couple sitting next to us who also had a reservation at red sky for the same evening. I don't know if the problem is the restaurant, or Open table, but this is not a good way to keep customers. The four star review is because they did a fantastic job catering our wedding on May 15th of last year. :) Maybe this is a catering only business? Yes, Bob & Betsy. :) We love both your restaurants, but we figured you guys needed to know about the reservation. We had a fantastic time at NC Coast, and even got to pose for a picture with Wes! :) Our meal was excellent, of course. I know in my business, I can't fix what I don't know is broken. LOL

We used Red Sky for our wedding of 105 people, as well as our rehearsal dinner. EVERYONE kept coming up to us saying how amazing the food was. They were very easy to work with (thank you Dena!) and we're very professional/we have no complaints. Their service at our wedding was impeccable and I would highly recommend. You can't beat the food, the price, and the service they offer in the Outer Banks.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars for Red Sky Catering. Red Sky catered 3 events for our wedding in December 2022. When we did our tasting in December of 2021 we were hooked. The food is absolutely incredible. We selected to do family style at our wedding and our guests were blown away. Each table received a long wood tray with all of the variety of delicious selections on it. Everyone was blown away. We did not stop getting compliments about the food and presentation. The staff was absolutely incredible. We worked closely with them as we got closer and all of our visions came true. We had a variety of dietary restrictions and vegetarians and they were able to accommodate everyone. We enjoyed every last bite. There was nothing to take home as leftovers! Red Sky also catered our rehearsal dinner and bartended our welcome party and it was fantastic. They came back for a 3rd event for our New Years Eve party and the food was delicious. We are not local to the Outer Banks but we have visited my whole life. I will always make sure to stop by and enjoy some Red Sky or NC Coast when I am in town.

We visited twice during our October week in Duck! Both times the food was wonderful and Jack our waiter was very attentive. We would definitely recommend and will be visiting again next year. Just to bad we can't move the building across the street totally blocks the sunset on the sound.

Have been here for two "holiday" buffets and have loved them both. Mother's Day and Thanksgiving. The price is between $40 and $50 per person but is well worth it. The quality and choice of entrees on the buffet are top notch. There are no "fillers". Each entree would have been featured on a regular menu on another day. The atmosphere is appropriately casual and the food can help it be a really special dinner/brunch. Would recommend.

Delicious! The salmon was perfectly cooked, I'm not a fan of grits so I subbed out the grits for rice.

Food was pretty great as seen in the attached photos. Only complaint is that the steak came without a knife. When we asked for one the waitress asked if my daughter could cut it with her butter knife. Steak was well done instead of med. It's saving grace was that it was a filet, which kinda makes it a bit of a travesty. We'll be back despite these little misteps.

Just finished a delicious lunch here. There were four of us and we all tried different dishes. All were superb. Great service. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

We love the food here. The waitress excused in advance for longer wait times as they are understaffed. We didn't notice it, as the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. And was great, and the waitress was very friendly. Highly recommend this place.

The restaurant doesn't look like much but the food is high end and fantastic! The staff is friendly and attentive. We have gone to Red Sky for the last three years while on vacation and it has never disappointed! It is definitely a high end restaurant (prices to match but worth it) hiding in a cafe exterior.
