West Mountain is a popular ski resort spanning 125 acres with various trails, terrain parks and snow tubing options. The establishment also features a pro shop and bar/eatery for visitors to enjoy. Despite the overall positive experience, it was noted that children under six years of age are not allowed on the premises. In addition, some guests commented on the aging cable cars which require refurbishment for more comfortable seating arrangements.
Went tubing here for my son's friend's birthday party and it was an absolute blast, even for the adults. They have two separate hills. One smaller and one bigger. Both are really fun! The smaller hill is great for first timers, those who might be a little more reluctant and younger kids. The bigger hill is great for all ages but goes very fast! They also have a competitive downhill skill slope and a regular ski/snowboard slope. Can't wait to go back! Completely recommend!

Great place to get a few turns in. Views were good and trail variety was there. Terrain park was fun and night skiing is well lit up. Closed trails, ice patches, and sudden drop-offs should be marked better. There were no glades yet they are on the map. Overall pretty good.

Who knew there was a ski mountain so close to lake George? Now I do. This was a terrific family ski area. To be honest we only ended up going here because we snoozed and Gore mountain tix sold out president day weekend. But we didn’t feel bad. This place was great for my 4 year old! Who struggled down the bunny slope. But loved the tubing. I recommend reserving everything as far in advance as possible. I only found out there was another lodger/side of the mountain after I left.

I took my children snow tubing when they were young- about 20 years ago. I had the honor of taking my granddaughter for her first time. She had a lot of fun and it was a blast!
Suzette Murphy — Google review
Great family outing! We did the snow tubing. There's a people mover to get you up to the top of the hill and it wasnt too bad of a line so we got four- five trips in within our booked time. Snack prices we're outrageous as expected, but the outing was a very pleasant experience overall.

Went for the fall festival. $15 for face painting??? The bargain was the pony ride for $10. The horse was perfect and the owner was awesome with the kids. $20 for a lift ride??? Yikes Honestly this festival was a real let down.

I've skied there.... but inwas there recently for the scenic lift to the top of the mountain and to check out their high adventure ropes course at the top of the mountain..... it was awesome and I'd highly recommend.

West was a fun mountain. Due to the rough start of the year terrain was limited. When fully open this place looks awesome for an affordable price. Great INDY Pass stop too.

Awesome. I went there two weeks ago. It’s was really adventurous. Everything was great but under six years no one allowed. We hiked and enjoyed. We had a lot of fun. We was large group. Ticket price was adult $20. All cable car looks very older, they need to paint 🎨. The seat wasn’t not comfortable. Management suppose to need good work with it. However everything was great and we are pleased 😀.

Awesome weekend first time outdoor snowboarding. The kids did great and looking forward to coming back. Even when we finished I enjoyed watching the other people hit the jumps. Definitely made for good post to my IG @docnitty23

This is a nice ski resort. The customer service is great and we were instructed for lessons and rental. But the snow is icy and bumpy.
peter liu — Google review
Don't go tubing here. They sell as many tickets as they can with no regard for customer experience. Got total of 5 runs in 2 hours. $8 a run for tubing is ridiculous. Went to customer service after 3 runs and 1:15 to see about a refund or voucher for another day. They said too bad so sad and claimed it's advertised on the website how few runs you'll get in. I'm still looking for this info detailed on the website but have yet to find it. They said if we wanted to get more runs in we needed to use the hill meant for toddlers. They told us we should head back out and get in whatever runs we could with our remaining time. No concern for the poor experience. Still unhappy with the experience afterwards I called the mountain looking for someone to speak with. Girl on the phone said that all management had left for the day. I detailed what my issue was and she stated she was one of the two people at the window when I was there earlier. She reiterated what the guy at customer service had said earlier in the day. I advised I still can't find the information on the website and just curious where that would be found. I mentioned that most mountains restrict ticket sales to provide a good experience and she basically told me that they're there to make money and try to sell as many tickets as they can because they're a popular mountain. This was also confirmed when I asked a lift operator if it's always like this and he said "they really pack them in here during these school breaks". The lack of concern for the poor experience led me to say that my 7 year old had a real $htty time today and that was the first time I heard an apology but it came with attitude when she said "Well, I'm sorry you had such a CRAPPY time." You would swear from the attitude these people think they're working for Vail resorts. This is a destination of convenience only not a real destination. Not the usual experience you receive from the Adirondacks. Will not be going back.
Matthew Blaunstein — Google review
I am disappointed. For management and west mountain they don't deserve any ⭐. For instructor I will give them two stars. I have to spend $100 for one person only to get gear and entry for bunny hill. Most disappointing part is in the counter they told me that I have to buy lesson to enter bunny hill and I paid $47. And when my son went to the instructor they checked with office and told no. That amount is for entry only. My 6YO went up the carpet and started crying as no one was there to assist( I was told about lesson) . The situation could be worse until some kind instructor went up and got him down. They were very nice people and also gave tips to my kids as they did it for the first time.

Took 3 kids here for tubing. Had an excellent experience and really want to say how pleasant the staff are. It was our first time snow tubing and my 9 year old was pretty anxious; Sam was on the conveyor belt and he was awesome. He calmly explained the process to my son, stopped the belt, made sure everyone else waited, and cheered him on for the rest of the time. 10/10 recommend !

Great experience. My son took a beginners snowboarding lesson and he was completely locked in afterwards. Special thanks to his Instructor Carl, Erica and all the staff in the rental and ticket offices for being so knowledgeable and helpful.

As a dad who took up skiing later in life this place is great. The staff are patient and attentive, the place is well kept. My daughter and I went from the bunny slope people to doing blue squares with our season passes this year. Even when its busy and the parking lot is full, the mountain never feels crowded. Whether you are a local or a tourist, i highly recommend This mountain. It has great trails, good prices and nice staff!

The two gentlemen who run this place are amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable and willing to make a deal if you ask. Absolutely lovely place to walk around and experience, with a huge variety of items. Three floors, 34 rooms. Stuffed from wall to wall. Make sure you keep large purses, bags etc. in the car; not only to show respect and not appear to be a risk for them theft-wise, but because many areas are tight to navigate and you may hit something by accident. You'll be here a while.

Always a great selection, wide variety of prices, and friendly employees. If you see something you like grab it - you will get lost trying to find it again if you try to double back.

OMG! Wish this place was located in my home town. If you love antiques this is a fabulous shop to visit and the prices are far beyond reasonable! Paul the owner is wonderful and super knowledgeable. Plus the antique shop is in an old lovely home with 3 floors of almost anything you can think of having from old tin bandage cans to beautiful antique furniture and paintings and much much more. Also everything is so well laid out. Definitely will be coming back on every visit with a tow truck! :-)
Connie D — Google review
If you are the type of person who enjoys plodding through dozens of overstuffed rooms filled tchotchkes, this is the place for you. For me, one room of china tea-sets, cut glass candy dishes, silver serving pieces etc, etc, etc is too much for me. What is amazing about this place is that the most impressive thing about the entire place is the old manor house that contains all these things. The problem is, you cannot see the house because it is stuffed from floor to the ceiling with items. The narrow walkways are an obstacle course for not knocking some thing onto the floor. It seems like a fire trap to me but I know there’s plenty of people who love spending hours and hours looking at the, hundreds of thousands of items they must be in this place. Antique stores like this will be a dying breed soon since few people under 50 years old have any interest in most of this stuff anymore. Contemporary antique stores have their items displayed in a more appealing manner, albeit with much fewer items.

Lady at front desk is beyond rude. 40 years of what? Bad customer service! Belittled and spoke very negative about anything I brought up or mentioned. Looked at me as if she was better then me and didn't even want to hear a word I said or look at any of the items I brought in. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Very poor service. Very poor attitude. Horrible vibes. What I thought would be a nice trip to the manor turned into more of a punishment and a waste of time.

A wonderland of antiquing! We've gone multiple times now, to keep bringing more family members back just to see the place! Give yourself some time, it's huge, and you don't want to ride a motorcycle through a museum. ;-) We've brought some beautiful treasures home, and I am impressed with their prices. They price their items to move them, not to take advantage of people, and I respect that. We will definitely be back!

We came to Lake George from NYC during the public school spring break (end of Apr) and so many things were closed. But the kids were sooooo happy that The Fun Spot was open for Go Karts and Mini Golf! Very well kept place with super sweet owners and staff. They even had Go Karts for the little ones so they can drive on their own. My 6 and 13 year olds had the time of their lives here. Thanks for being open year round and for the awesome time, The Fun Spot! Don’t miss this place when you visit Lake George!

Great fun for the family! My group had 11-year-olds through 17-year-olds and we had an awesome time. The go karts was definitely the best part. We loved the VR and the laser tag too. Kids has a blast roller skating too. Staff was nice and friendly. We would definitely do it again!

My kids personal favorite place to hold their own parties and attend others. Great place for even a day out! Helpful, friendly staff - great pricing considering what's included, especially with birthday packages. The kids never want to leave, rented the entire building for a private birthday and was absolutely a hit with the kids and adults. Great deals and tons of fun!
Brina Wolfe — Google review
Drove over a hr so my daughter could skate. The employee said that skating was a weekend event only! And we could only ride the go carts or golf. I checked the web page before leaving home and no were did it say No skating during the week! Now i have a Very disappointed little girl. My family will not be returning.

Five star. The place is super clean, staff is friendly and helpful. The kids loved the small go karts, they were perfect for their first driving experience. We enjoyed the adult go karts, although my kart had a tire issue, but staff was nice enough to replace it and let us ride some more. Mini golf is beautiful. Tickets for all the above activities were extremely affordable. We'll be back.

The Fun Spot is a pretty cool place they have a great indoor playground area that the kids played on forever. They have an arcade, laser tag, go karts for all ages, a ninja style obstacle course, and roller skating. They also have an area to get food and drinks and the place was clean. They also do birthday parties here. Really cool place!

Staff is very nice and friendly, kids had a blast roller skating, going on the indoor jungle gym, the ninja course, VR, and playing laser tag, and playing the Fast and Furious game. Prices are reasonable. You can spend all day here. During the summer is fun too on the go karts and mini golf. Fun place to go all year round to keep your active kids busy
Becca Austin — Google review
Kids' 8 and almost 6 had a great time. Prices were more than fair. The staff members were friendly and helpful. It was a tidy and safe environment. Laser tag and roller skating were big hits.
Jeff Britton — Google review
Love this newly found place to come with my kids. Love the variety of activities offered. The indoor playground is amazing and laser tag room fantastic. Many other activities and options for kids to have fun. The to only reason I gave 4 as opposed to 5 stars is because we found the go-carts to be unsafe on a busy day (like yesterday). On our first round there were 4 cars including us and it was perfect. On our second try they allowed 16 cars at the same time and it was dangerous. Most cars were going quite fast bumping into each other on turns and in our 1st lap my 10 year old got in a crush that could have ended up badly had I not been right behind him and blocked his car from being hit (he spin and ended up horizontally in the middle of the road right after a curve, since cars in front of him bumped into each others and fully blocked the road). He was shaken from the experience and we finished immediately. Management graciously gave us a refund. I wonder though if more safety measures should be put in place allowing no more than 6-8 cars at the same time.

Old-time spot for double features under the stars on 2 digital projection screens, with a snack bar.
Great local drive in with two screens , restrooms, and an extensive snack bar. Double features every night they are open shortly after dark. Super fun, sound is through radios and many people bring families and well behaved pets. Very affordable and fun.

We enjoyed the movie. We watched "Back to the future ". The area is clean. They have 2 big screen playing different movies. The price is $10 for adults, $5 for child includes 2 movies. The staff are absolutely friendly. They have a concession where you can buy popcorn, soda, pretzels, chicken fingers (just to name a few). My kids loved the atmosphere. Drive in movie theater is definitely an awesome experienced my 2 kids will remember.

I have enjoyed going to the drive since I was like 5. I am so glad I can still enjoy them and am able to share with my daughter and am now sharing with my granddaughter.

It's a great experience to watch a movie under the stars. I also loved the double feature aspect; 2 movies for the price on 1! Doesn't get better than that. I just wish mosquitoes didn't ruin it with their incessant biting.

I love the Glen Drive-In Theatre. It's my hometown drive-in, and it has been for as long as I can remember. The employees are super nice, and they always make sure the movies are shown at the right time. They even have a snack bar that serves all the classic drive-in snacks, like popcorn and soda. If you are looking for a great place to see a movie, I highly recommend the Glen Drive-In Theatre.
Ariann Geppner — Google review
Support the local Drive in. Just like I remember it... clean, fun. Every person should have a Drive In experience.. this is a good one to visit. Food prices are inexpensive, as compared to movie theaters. A huge bucket of popcorn was less than 4 bucks.. hot dogs and hamburgers were inexpensive.. BUY some refreshments when there, and keep the Glen Drive In open for business. It's a safe pace to escape COVID!
J V — Google review
June 2023. My previous review is below. Adults are now $11, kids are $6? I found the prices to be fair, even at the concession stand. They kept the line moving and hardly anyone had to wait for their order. My only slight complaint is that the popcorn seemed hours old. The division of the movies was odd to me, unless you take into consideration the timing of the movies. Both screens had movies for the younger crowd as the first movie, with the second movies being more for the older crowd. 2019? A definite treat to be able to take my 12 year old son to a drive in. There are two screens showing double features at dusk, a refreshment stand, bathrooms, and wasn't crowded on a hot (Thursday) July night. I gave it 5 stars even tho some tree branches were blocking part of one screen and the speakers act like parking spot markers because they no longer work. Can't beat the entry prices: $10 adult, $5 child. And you can pay with a bank card👍

Nice trail running from the End of West Mountain road, past Rush Pond to Farr Lane. Path is wide and well maintained, but does have hills. 2.6 miles each way. (5.2 round trip.) Has a couple Adirondack style bridges to cross which were cool. Good place to get out and go for a walk or to take a mountain bike.
Amanda Baldwin — Google review
The ends of the trail are fairly close to apartments and some busy roads. Once you get away from there, the trails are fairly nice. Wide trails that are well maintained.
Gordon Jessup — Google review
Nice wide trail that is very easy to follow. Well marked and well maintained. Trail is 2.6 miles one way and 5.2 miles total. Easy to moderate terrain. Trail goes along Rush Pond, then crosses over Rush Pond and ends in a suburban neighborhood. The trail offers many chances to see local wildlife. The trail is used by many for walking, running, and bicycling. There are many mountain bike trails that come off the main trail. Easy parking next to the Northway. Room for about 10-15 cars. Cell reception is very good on the whole trail.

The Adirondack Winery at Lake George is a popular family-owned winery that offers hand-crafted wines for visitors to sample. With multiple tasting rooms available, guests can enjoy a varied and comprehensive wine-tasting experience. The tasting room features a wide selection of Adirondack Winery vintages, allowing guests to taste and appreciate the beauty of the Adirondacks through their exceptional wines.
Wine tasting was amazing and very helpful to know which to buy. We came in middle of winter 🥶 freezing temps. Bought wines back to cabin. Some froze but defrosted fine. Just placed another order online. My only regret that I didn’t have cash to tip the helpful service. We will be back. Ghost town in winter made easy to find parking 😃.

Justin was our server today as we did a wine tasting and he was so fun, friendly, and really made our tasting experience so much more inviting and fun! My one night last minute escape to Lake George was amazing thanks to our server Sarah at my wine tasting at Adirondack Winery. I had such an experience with the 7 wine & 1 premium. My favorite which I renamed is the Beachside Bubbly *B!+€h yes I added the last word because it really hits with the smell & taste. We were the only couple in the place on a Monday which was off season in November. But I wouldn't have asked for anything else. We spent the entire afternoon there. I bought the jam, cheese & BBB. Thanks SARAH! You are a great HOST!

Thoroughly enjoyed spending some time learning about the great wines that Adirondack Winery produces. Eldon was a wonderful host, and we'll definitely be ordering a case to go alongside the bottles we picked up yesterday. Wide variety of wines available to taste! Come in with an open mind, as there are some wines that will exceed your expectations. Consider adding the tasting plate, it enhanced the experience.

Friendly staff. I did a wine tasting. Nice selection of wines and flavors. They provide a short description of each wine. Wine tasting includes wine tasting glass. Only negative review would be no restroom for customers. If you plan on drinking a lot, you will need to go elsewhere when nature calls.

Nice selection of fruit infused wines. Would have given this a 5, but felt a little rushed to get through the 7 samples. Was not offered water in between samples until another staff member came over to give us some when we hand only 1 sample left.

Friendly staffs and value deal. Opted for basic wine sampling which offers 7 choice and complimentary wine glass to keep. You can also select the wine highlighted in yellow for additional $1 each. They also offer wine slushies and a range of wine accessories like bag, tumbler, stopper, etc. to chose from. Seating is bar counter style in middle of the store

I had my first ever wine tasting experience here this past Memorial Day Weekend, and it was utterly fantastic. Koleen was my server, and as young as she is, she was extremely knowledgeable about all the wines that I was sampling. She also gave great suggestions on ones that she thought I would like, based on my feedback. The cost for the tasting is $15, and you pick 7 wines from a long list to try. Anything highlighted in yellow cost a dollar more. After the tasting, you have an option to buy any of the wines that you sampled, and you get the wine glass as a complimentary item. I ended up with four great bottles. Not only do they sell wine, but they also have some souvenirs and snacks. I highly recommend for anyone who loves wine like myself to definitely make a point to check this place out!

Awesome little gem on a cold day at Lake George. We loved the fruity sweeter wines. Our host Justin was an excellent server! For $15 you get 7 sample tastings + a glass to take home! Amazing deal!
Kayla Murphy — Google review
We stopped in for a tasting and were greeted immediately, we waited only a few minutes to be checked in and seated. We ordered the works experience. Once we selected our tastings service was fast and friendly. Our “Happy Snacker” came out within a few minutes and paired well with the wines selected. I could have passed on the marshmallow and some of the crackers were more like cookies, nuts or fresh fruit would be a good addition, but it was different and I believe the cheeses and jams are locally made. The semi-dry Riesling, Lakeside Bubbly, and Moonlight were some of my favorites. They also have a location in Queensberry which is worth the short drive! There is no public bathroom at the Canada Street location so plan accordingly.

Fun wine tasting for a cold and rainy day while in Lake George. They had a nice selection of dry and sweet, so there is something for someone & prices weren’t that astronomical. Nicole was amazing as she walked us through our tasting and was a great time! Their wine wall for pictures was the perfect touch and a fun way to remember the trip!

The Silo Restaurant & Gift Shop, located in Queensbury, NY, offers a unique dining experience in a converted barn setting. The charming atmosphere includes a captivating gift shop featuring local crafts and fudge. While there may be a wait for a table, the delicious country fare and oversized breakfast options like omelets and pancakes make it worth it. Lunch offerings include homemade soups, sandwiches, burgers, and chicken dishes. Visitors also praise the delightful gift shop and friendly service at this quaint establishment.
This place is awesome - the decor, atmosphere, waitstaff, and food is all top notch. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you are into woodworking, because you'll spend more time looking at the construction than eating your food. I got the signature omelette (which was excellent) and my wife got "The southerner" and that was excellent as well. The donuts are hot and fresh, and the remainder of the country store was very pleasurable to walk through. Will definitely go again.

Cool place. Menu has so many options from breakfast foods to sandwiches. Enjoyed looking around the gift shop while waiting to be seated. If there's a wait it will go faster than they say so just be patient. In the meantime get a delicious apple cider donut!

Very cute shop and restaurant! The prices are higher than the average diner but we did get a lot of food, couldn't even finish! The waitress was very nice, A+ coffee service, and quick turn around time. We were there early so there was no wait but can see how the place would fill up fast.

Silo in Queensbury, NY is a must-visit for foodies. The restaurant and gift shop offers a unique dining experience with a rustic and charming atmosphere. The food quality is excellent, with large portions to satisfy even the hungriest of diners. The only downside is that the wait times can be quite long, so be prepared for a bit of a wait before being seated. Overall, the wait is well worth it for the delicious food and pleasant ambiance. Highly recommend checking out Silo for a delicious and memorable meal.

This is THE place for breakfast or brunch. We started off with their cider doughnut french toast... Which wasn't super sweet and tasted really unique. The country breakfast was super hearty... The eggs were perfectly scrambled... The toast was slathered with butter and the sausages were salty and flavourful. But for me the star has to be the caprese eggs Benny. The pesto and balsamic flavours paired with the melted mozzarella on an ultra toasty muffin with liquid gold from the poached eggs was just a flavour bomb going off in my mouth. Also shout out to our server, Melanie who was the sweetest. She patiently answered all our questions and did it with a cheery smile on her face. She made us feel special.

So yummy and cozy! Food was out of this world!! The staff was wonderful and very helpful. Was 20min from we were staying and was worth it! The little shop had a home vibe. Added to our favorites and will come back. Thank you!

I had left a review of the Silo a couple years ago, but I just had to submit a more recent one: Despite coming here for years (and loving it), somehow, I never tried the fried chicken sandwich, and I loved it so much, it warranted making a whole new 5 star review. You really can't go wrong with any of the choices at the Silo. Everything is great, but this chicken sandwich is honestly more than I bargained for (in a good way). Two huge, juicy chicken thighs fried crispy, sandwiched between a fluffy bun and accented with sweet pickles and honey mustard and some sweet potato fries on the side... yes, please. I'll be honest, this sandwich only needs one piece of chicken to be great, but if you love leftovers, that second piece makes for a great sandwich at home the next day. Needless to say, I'd order this one again on my next visit! If fried chicken isn't your thing, some other great options are the Farmhand sandwich, the pancakes, and the BBQ chicken wrap.

Silo... That is all... What can one say? Silo is huge... There is something for everyone... And the restaurant food is beautifully cooked and delicious as can be. Silo is home I feel to the world's greatest gift shop emporium... It will amaze you. But get there quick to eat or you will be waiting a while and spending a lot at the multi levels of giftery... Def amazing place... Level on level of wonder

We are locals who love Silo - for food, gift-buying, and of course, the donuts! My husband and I enjoyed breakfast here the last Friday of July. There is always a wait in the summer, so we were not surprised it took about a half hour to get seated. The waitress was lovely and took our order for the cinnamon swirl pancakes- a must order if you haven't had them! - and eggs with homemade hash, toast, and bacon, plus tomato juice. The food was delicious as always and huge portions, which we split up. Only note I would make is actually on the girl who was bussing and setting tables. As someone who works in the industry, I always check my table before sitting down. Ours was sticky and covered with a fine layer of sugar. No biggie, we wiped it down with wet wipes. However, we noticed while waiting for our food that the girl was not really wiping down tables after bussing the dishes; a very quick wipe, no picking up of the items on the table to get anything around them, and no wiping down of ketchup/syrup bottles etc. It was busy, but she wasn't backed up or rushing. In summary: Great food and service, just a little more training needed to make sure everything is clean for the customers sitting down.

Food was fantastic. My pancakes were the size of a hubcap. My wife loved her egg breakfast and the bone fries were delicious. Will visit again if ever back up this way.

Very glad to visit this place finall and would be back 😁

Absolutely delicious. Everything was so good. The restaurant is really cool inside. Staff is very friendly. Fun little store throughout it. Donuts are a must try.

The Silo restaurant and country store is beautiful both inside and out. There is a parking lot. I went alone during the off season. It was busy. Very clean. I ordered the stuffed French toast. It was delicious. I marked it on my places to visit again in the future.

My family and i love the silo! First of all the staff is GREAT! The food is AMAZING! The portion size is huge! Usually, the kids share when they can agree on something! The cider donuts are probably the best around! You can not go wrong stopping here! You will not leave hungry! We usually get breakfast, but I haven't seen anything brought out that doesn't look good. Please try the Silo!

Had to have been one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. Next time we go up to Lake George for vacation, we will 100% be back here. The Apple cider donuts are a must try and their donut breakfast sandwich is so good! Beware of the massive (but amazing) portions of food - you will need a to-go box!

Great atmosphere! We landed here right about the later part of lunchtime; in fact, we were one of the last people they took on the waitlist for lunch. While browsing the store waiting for our name to be called, we realized that there’s an upstairs part to this gift shop! Don’t miss that! The downstairs part has candy by the pound and cider donuts that smell amazing, but don’t skip the upstairs…. The food itself was great! Our waitress was very attentive and helped me through the gluten free menu. I ordered some gluten free French toast, which I haven’t had in a while, with a side of bacon. Coupled with the house syrup, it was great! My wife had a wrapped sandwich with cheese, and it was just as delightful and delicious. The waitress got us a box for leftovers and also got us refills for our drinks and was very attentive. Love this place and definitely will go here again next time we are near Queensbury.

American restaurant
The Docksider is a cozy, American-style restaurant with views of the Adirondack Mountains. It's perfect for hearty American classics and relaxing lake views. In the colder months, their heated outdoor deck ensures that enjoying fall foliage is never a problem.
Gorgeous location, phenomenal staff & mouthwatering delicious food. The Docksider is located a little bit off the beaten path, but it’s worth it just to find this place. The staff were lovely and very helpful, the owner was sweet and kind and the food was beyond delicious!! I had to take 1 million photos just because of how gorgeous the location alone was. Christine the owner also maintains a beautiful garden all along the property. It takes your breath away. If I’m ever in this area again I will definitely be paying the Dockesider a visit. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Very nice atmosphere, very good service. We ordered steaks. It was a bit chewy but still good. The deserts was delicious, and the service was fast.

The fish was pretty good. I might have been having an off day because I usually love fish. We also got dessert. The place was great. You get a view of the lake of course. Inside there was so much to look at. Decorations were great. Very festive. Service was excellent.

I’ve been going to the Docksider for years, but somehow I’ve never reviewed them. This restaurant is extremely popular in the summer because they are also accessible by boat and have a really nice outdoor seating area. They’re open year-round with plenty of cozy fireside indoor seating, as well as a bar with seating. The owner and her staff are great, and the food is very good here. Plenty of options including pizza, wings, sandwiches, and dinners. You won’t be disappointed!

Stopped in for a relaxing lunch on the lake. The views from the patio were beautiful. My friend and I ordered a pizza, some pretzel sticks, and a couple drinks. I'm giving it 4 stars because the pretzel sticks and the pizza came out at the same time, and it took almost 30 minutes. On the other hand, the food was very good and the server was very nice. I would definitely eat here again though.

The Docksider is an amazing restaurant! The food is great, the location is fantastic. Being on a lake then utilizing it to it's fullest ability by BEING ABLE TO PARK YOUR BOAT THERE! That is so cool, I've never seen a place like it. Even better, they have The Docksider merch which is very comfortable.

Always a great experience at The Docksider! The food is excellent, staff is friendly and very accommodating- Haddock is always fresh, taco bowl salads are amazing and the burgers and steak are perfect choices at the bar- Right on Glen Lake, the view is stunning- indoor/outdoor dining- Love love love Docksiders!

3.5. Wanted to love this. Definitely capitalizing on location. For food, walk in the back towards the water. For the bar, walk in the main door. Food sounded better than it looked or tasted so that's always a bummer. Lots of staff, but not very attentive. Many layers of seating towards the water. Prices reflect higher quality, so again paying for location. Serving size was good. No refills offered or asked if more was needed. Expensive for feeding one adult and two kids. Extra napkins would have been a nice touch. Bathrooms are not handicap friendly. They are very tiny and tight. Lots of parking. Need to trim back the flowers on the left as you walk to the back where people are supposed to walk in. Cute. Worth going once. Not sure about a repeat.

The food and service were excellent. The entire place is beautifully decorated for the fall. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area.

Every time we come to lake George we come down to docksiders for our dinner and every time they knock it out of the park. My wife and I had the prime rib, my girls had macaroni and cheese and my son had pizza. The restaurant is always clean and the staff are always friendly. The food here is amazing. We will be back next time we are in town

It's not too ideal to come in an empty belly, especially if it's a large group such as ours (9). Waited 2 hours to be seated. It was a Monday evening. We could have probably opted to leave and gone elsewhere but after the first hour, we were just too hungry and tired to even think of looking for an alternative. Food was okay, nothing fancy nor unique. The location was great because it's right by the lake; but otherwise, it's just okay.

My future DIL treated me to lunch on Mother’s Day. Everyone was so friendly, service was impeccable, and the food was delicious! And really? The view is just the best!! I had a baked chicken sandwich, with bacon, avocado, Swiss cheese. It was so good. My FDIL is gluten-free, she had the cauliflower pizza, which she said was amazing. We can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend!!!

They seated us ten minutes before closing their doors with 4 kids out late after a day at the water park. The service was fantastic and the food was great. We took home desert and we’re very glad we did. They made four hungry kids and a tired uncle very happy

Full disclosure, we have not yet eaten there but we plan to soon. The menu items look scrumptious. We stopped by today for a beer and glass of wine in the early afternoon. The bar entrance interior was beautiful and had a nice vibe. The entrance to the restaurant portion is along a pathway on the right side of the building. We asked if we could take our drinks to and outside lakeside table ans the bartender said sure! So off we went. The outside grounds are beautiful. The lake is awesome in itself, but we met Chris the owner outside working with the plants. FANTASTIC looking landscape design and maintenance! We spend lots of time talking to Chris and she assurred us everything on the menu is delicious. We'll be back real soon!

A&W Restaurant is a quick-service eatery that specializes in serving its signature root beer, along with a variety of burgers, chicken dishes, and fries. Customers have reported positive experiences at this establishment, praising the friendly and accommodating staff. The food is freshly prepared and served quickly. Some recommended menu items include the delicious cheese curds, onion rings, bacon cheeseburger, chicken tenders, and root beer floats.
They have three wonderful girls working there. Everyone of them was very nice. They had to serve in the pouring rain because they come to your car. Everything was as expected or better. If you’re going to go there you might want to try the miniature corn dogs delicious

Nice experience. Fun, polite, accomidating, and friendly staff. First time there. I only got cheese curds and they were the best cheese curds I ever had At a restaurant. The food was prepared fresh and super super fast. I look forward to going back there when I'm in the area to get The Onion rings and a burger. The step into the bathroom is real high so be careful.

Servers are pretty quick. Food does not take long once ordered. Friendly staff. First time visiting an A&W, and the food was pretty good. Best fries I’ve had in a long time. Parking is rather limited at this location, but easy to get back on the road.

We recently ate at the A&W in Wilmington NY and just finished eating here in Lake George, NY. The menu is slightly different, but the food is top notch. I got the double bacon cheese burger and my wife got the chicken tenders. Onion rings, and cheese curds, and of course, root beer floats. Excellent!

Spent $66 on food here, paid a $2.60 surcharge for card. Waitress was a very cocky woman. Decided to take our order based off memory no pen & pad and messed up our burger and both chicken tender orders that were to go. We ordered 2 five piece tenders to go one had 3 one had 4 (they don’t even sell a four piece so what gives. It’s okay will file a dispute with cc. Don’t recommend this joint

We were SOOOO excited to return here after so many years. At one point, there had been a fire, closing it down, but they rebuilt, and, then there was Covid, and now, things are slowly going in a forward, so we drive put here. 8 minutes after they open...1 spot to park. Awesome! We got in! Super sweet server. Very knowledgeable, friendly, etc. Fast service, everything seemed right... Onion rings were over cooked, flavorless... My hubby's bacon double cheeseburger had special sauce on only maybe 1/3of the Burger (he will not complain) The root beer, grilled cheese and cheese curds were delicious. Overall: meh. There is one in Cortland, NY. Much better. Cash only, but quality is way above what we got today

Delicious burgers & OK hot dogs. Love the car door service. Servers very friendly. 70 flavors of soft serve ice cream. They serve the iconic American root beer float.🍺

The classic All American Food. Can’t say nothing else but for you to try their root beer float and burgers. When you visit Lake George, stopping by at this legend is a must. Buy their mugs as well, great for souvenirs!

It was great to see a Delorean outside! Our server was very helpful, and even went so far as to give us directions to local tourists spots (she brought us a map and drew the route we needed to take)! I had the scallop roll and it was delicious, the scallops were cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. Of course the root beer in the chilled glass really hit the spot on such a hot day. We'll definitely be returning.

Gas station
Stewart's Shops is a convenient gas station chain that offers its own range of ice cream, coffee, soda, snacks, and groceries. With an extensive selection of flavors, ranging from traditional options like chocolate and vanilla to more unique seasonal and special varieties, customers can enjoy their ice cream on the go or relax with friends at one of the indoor or outdoor seating areas. Stewart's also provides milkshakes in any ice cream flavor as well as sundaes.
LOVE the maple coffee! I get one every morning. And an apple muffin. Its amazing! They have good selection of food. The prices are good too.

Don't waste your time waiting on line at Ben & Jerry's and hold onto a few extra dollars for ice cream just as good. We've been going to Stewart's since I was a kid and it still doesn't disappoint. Also, the service from Brendan and Anthony was top notch.
Chris Spinelli — Google review
Regular gas station. We had a little trouble getting gas after a pre-pay because the pump cut off. Attendant gave the reasoning that the car was full and refunded the money causing us to have to go back in and repay due to being down a quarter tank. Inside sells snacks, lotto and limited basic goods. Nothing fancy. Just a basic gas station.
Erika Iversen — Google review
This is a newer Stewart's location. Not brand new, but not an old store. It's a nice location and decent parking in a fairly good size store. Stewart's is a staple for locals who live near one as I do. They tend to have what you need without having to travel to get certain things. Obviously the ice cream is good. Although the prices have been getting too expensive for it. Although there prices are still at the lower end of too expensive. This Stewart's also have the ethanol free 91 octane gas. Which I prefer over the terrible gas they make you run in NY. Yes a little more money. But much better gas in terms of longevity and not slowly damaging your vehicles and power equipment. The employees have always given me prompt service with no issues. So yes I like this store and stop in when in the area.

4th time in 5 days that there were no peanut butter and jelly rolls at the counter. Not busy when I go in and I know there are supposed to be so many readily available yet here we are, again. One morning I politely asked if it was possible to get one and if not no big deal, the person behind the counter got flustered and panicked like I asked for an organ donation, the other person behind the counter felt it necessary to explain there were several orders ahead of me and that I’d have to wait. Ok, first off I didn’t ask, I also said no big deal but was still offered manic responses like I was making outlandish requests. Meanwhile I was already trying to pay for my coffee to get on my way being I don’t have time to wait around for something that should be ready to go. Needless to say this will be my last time even bothering to come to this store though it is just up the road from where I work.
Dan Ferrara — Google review
I have gone to this Stewart's 4 times for a banana split. I have never seen a place that serves ice cream that can't make a banana split properly. I had my boyfriend go tonight and still was not right. Since when do you cut a banana in half instead down the middle length wise. I once brought one of them back because it was so bad. I was told by an employee "So what do you want me to do about it." In a very rude voice, then threw it in the garbage really hard. They need proper training on how to check their attitudes at the door when coming to work and how so serve their customers and make ice cream.

A little bit of everything, gas, food, beer, cigarettes, groceries, lottery, pizza. Got a frozen ice cream cone, beer, margarita and cookie for $11 and change. It is what it is.

Was at Lake George for a weekend get a way the beginning of October. Woke up early. Being fall season nothing in the villiage was open at 5 AM. I wanted coffee. I drove up the road to a Stewart's and they were open. They were very busy but had a worker there that sooo impressed me. There was a massive garage sale that goes on that weekend. Some how she managed to keep that coffee going for a steady flow of customers. I am very picky about my coffee and it was not what I expected. That coffee was so good there I could not believe it. And the price for the smaller size was less than $1.50. You can't go wrong there.
