New American restaurant
Clarity is a new American restaurant that serves creative, seasonal dishes. The owners are chefs who use local ingredients to create unique menus every day. The service is excellent and the food is top-notch. This restaurant is definitely worth checking out!
Family and I went here for Christmas Eve and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Never heard of this restaurant prior until we saw it rated as a top 2021 restaurant in NOVA - which now after trying it is well deserved. Service was great, and the food was even better! We didn’t know this, but each daily menu is unique based on the local ingredients they source! Meaning each dish you love may not be there the next time you come… which is just another reason to come back and see what new item they have created! Overall, one of my favorite restaurants in the area - will definitely come back. If you haven’t been here before, I highly recommend you check Clarity out.

Overall is a nice pricier restaurant with a casual atmosphere with jeans and a T-shirt. I was there on Thanksgiving Day, Maybe they have a different and more selection for their menu on a regular day. I got pasta with chicken for a starter, surprisingly rich in flavor and spice. Our entrees were good to great. We got steak, turkey, and red snapper. Desserts are yummy and melted in your mouth. I will go back once more on a regular day with different menu selections, and then maybe I can rate accurately. Overall first impression was good with potential.

I had been to Clarity a couple times before and enjoyed both times but it had been a while. On this particular visit I had a great time. The wine was delicious. I got the antelope just because I have never had antelope before. It was accompanied by white asparagus and potatoes. All were delicious. The antelope was cooked perfectly. Dessert was interesting. Quite possibly the most interesting dessert I have ever had. It was a gluten free almond cake, balsamic caramel, goat cheese mousse, and sweet garlic ice cream. WHAT???? Sweet garlic ice cream??? Yes, you read that right. It was DELICIOUS!!!! You know that scene in Ratatouille where the rat takes a bite of something and there are fireworks going off in his brain? That’s how I felt. In addition to the amazing food, the staff was so sweet and helpful and just gave us a pleasant experience all around.

I came here to celebrate my husband’s birthday after reading so many excellent reviews. We got dressed up and upon arrival, the hostess asked if we were celebrating anything to which I responded my husband’s birthday. We decided to sit near the kitchen to get in on the behind-the-scenes action. Our first impression was that the kitchen was very clean and the chefs knew what they were doing. We were greeted by our server who wished my husband a good birthday and everything things started off well. However as the night progressed, we became less impressed with service. There were not many patrons for a Sunday evening and many times I saw our server chatting with his colleagues or simply disappearing. It took a very long time get our orders and we had to ask for our water to be refilled. As we got our entree, we also had to ask for steak knives. The food was great, but I would not get the foie gras again (very tiny portion and very overpriced, $32). Because we were quite hungry, we ordered 3 appetizers, a drink, two entrees and split a dessert. The total was approximately $250 and tip included was beyond $300. The food has flavor, and the presentation is terrific but if you have a larger appetite I would choose another location as it can get very pricey very quickly- for example their crafted cocktails start at $20. I highly recommend the oysters, we enjoyed that most during our dinner. I got the 48 hour sous vide prime rib and my husband got the Australian wagyu skirt steak with foie gras emulsion. We thought both entrees were good, but not worth the high prices. We were looking for great service, and exceptional food, with a romantic ambience and this was not it for us. The ambiance may have been more romantic in the dining room instead of the kitchen seating, so perhaps you can avoid that. Near the end of dinner, I was hoping that they would light a candle on a dessert for my husbands’s birthday, but that was not offered. We ended up getting the crème brûlée, which was delicious, but we both agreed that the food did not match environment. Unfortunately Clarity fell short of our expectations and comes with too high of a price tag for us to return.

Finally got a chance to try this restaurant for a late Valentines dinner on the 15th. My husband and I were very impressed with the ingredients, flavors and attentive staff. Will definitely be adding this restaurant to the rotation for special occasions.

The food was excellent. I did the tasting menu and my wife had the NY Strip. We also got several cocktails. We loved everything. Each dish from the tasting menu was so well crafted and had excellent, complex flavor profiles. Her steak was also perfectly prepared. My wife also has a couple food allergies that they were awesome at remembering and making recommendations to accommodate. Victor, the bartender, came to our table several times and made us feel at home. He also makes an amazing Old Fashioned. I can't recommend this place enough.

This restaurant has very good food, and the service is prompt and friendly. They make good recommendations on the menu. Inside is decorated nicely, not overcrowded, and quiet enough for good conversation. If I have only one constructive word on it though it would be to check the menu prices before you go. This is a "high end" restaurant with prices comparable to high end DC restaurants and for me this makes it a special occasion place. A decent date night dinner for two will cost $400 (3 courses + wine + tax & tip) on average. The fixed price menu is over $200 per person with paired wine. The image is shrimp and scallop risotto. 6 pieces for $41. The bar area was pretty crowded when I was there on a Friday.. Think of it like edible-art, and leave the kids at home..

Perfect ladies dine out night at Clarity. Beautifully ample selections of wine! Food, ambiance, and service were excellent. Our server T was very accommodating with our dishes we ordered. Every dish was delicious! Looking forward to our next outing at Clarity. Highlighted and recommend dish: 21 aged beef Pan seared Octopus Red beet salad

Was finally able to try out Clarity and they did not disappoint. Service was super accommodating without even asking. Food came out timely and temperature was perfect. My sister and I split a steak and they were able to cook it at two different temperature. Our server T was really nice and was on point with everything. Definitely need to come back to try the tasting menu.

Went here for date night and was not disappointed. I had the Italian Burrata Salad followed by the Bison Ribeye with Porcini Mushroom and Leek Bread Pudding (both pictured). My wife had the Seared Foie Gras followed by the Crisped Salmon. With finished off with the Deluxe Dark Chocolate Flourless Cake. Everything was absolutely delicious, service was amazing and the ambiance was trendy cool. Highly recommend!!!

Everything we ordered here was delicious and well made. The octopus was a real standout, cooked well and flavorful, the fried green tomatoes, lobster bisque, and fluke were delicious. Loved the pasta with lamb and veal ragu. The Kahlua creme brulee is a must have dessert. Also, the build your own Manhattan is a really fun drink option.

Just a quiet lunch with a colleague, nothing special. I have been here many times before and usually ordered from the small plates section. The lunch menu didn’t offer that. Lunch was okay but pricey. Solace in tap is a nice thing. Our server was excellent. Unlikely that I will return here for lunch.

Bazin's on Church is a local eatery with exposed-brick walls that offers a changing New American menu and an extensive wine selection. It has been ranked as the top brunch spot in the Washington D.C. suburbs by Gayots and lives up to its reputation. Guests can enjoy unique brunch cocktails like the Dirty Mary or indulge in dishes like the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, which features smoked salmon on toasted brioche accompanied by hash browns and hollandaise sauce.
We stopped on our way to @Woltrap for early dinner @Bazin's...martini with blue cheese olives, amazing gazpacho, lamb lollipops and blue cheese potatoes au gratin, and salted caramel tart with bitter chocolate ice cream, husband had the prime burger. Everything was delicious and service by Bella was impeccable as always!

I have dined at this neighborhood restaurant several times, and the food has consistently been good. Their appetizers and entrees are always fresh and tasty and paired well with drinks. Service is always excellent, and the clean and tidy atmosphere with barn-style décor in this casual restaurant makes it an ideal place to enjoy our favorite dishes in a stylish ambiance.

Delicious food, pleasant atmosphere, and very good service. The Braised Short Ribs and Chilean Sea Bass were excellent, though I would say I've had better and fresher Crispy Oysters elsewhere (even Whole Foods!). I wish Bazin's would bring back its bread now that the pandemic has subsided (it was eliminated I guess during the pandemic).

Made the reservation for a friend's birthday. The staff nailed it. The wine selection was wide and deep. The food was EXCELLENT. Especially the salted caramel dessert at the end, which included a candle.

I am so happy I happened upon Bazin’s Next Door when I was looking for someplace to celebrate my husband’s big birthday in December. I could not have found a better venue! The space is very private and beautifully decorated. The food, drinks and service were exceptional. The personalized menus on the table were a nice touch. All our friends (26) were so impressed and had a wonderful time. Geremias and Julian were terrific servers and bartenders, and went above and beyond to make our party successful. Working with Erin on the event details was a pleasure. My big birthday is in two years and I plan to celebrate it at Bazin’s.

The chef and his wife are very involved with the customers making sure your dining experience is enjoyable. The food is amazing. You cannot go wrong with any of the fish dishes. The food was a bit pricey but what isn't today. I will definitely be back. Great atmosphere 👌 👏 👍

My wife and I are pretty protective of our date night meals. We don't go out often and, when we do, we have a short list of places that we like to visit. Places like Coastal Flats and Panda Express that are known winners and will always provide us with a quality meal. We went out on a limb and decided to shake things up a little bit. Bazin's on Church quickly rose to the top of our list as a place that was worth trying. Overall: Bazin's is a strange mixture of a fancy restaurant and a sports bar. Staff is wonderful and thoughtful, but not always the quickest. The food is some of the best that we've had in the area. Bazin's is located in the middle of downtown Vienna, which means that there's plenty of street parking around. On entering the restaurant we were greeted by a sweet hostess and were led to our table. We had booked a reservation online beforehand but there was plenty of seating when we went, so I'm not sure how necessary it was. We were seated right next to the bar which gave us our first glimpse into the weirdness of this place. On our left hand side, there was a fairly small dining area with a bunch of tables. It was a really nice spot with great lighting, big windows looking out onto the street and a pretty classy, interesting decor. On our right was a bar with a TV that was playing horse racing. And right behind us was an open concept kitchen were all the staff was working, running bills and talking. That wasn't necessarily a problem, but it felt a bit like a Jekyll and Hyde situation where the restaurant was trying to cater to two audiences and the dining area was so small, I don't know if it pulled it off. Perhaps if we had sat in a different part of the dining area our experience would have been different. Shortly after our waiter came out and took our drink order. He was super nice and thoughtful, offering us recommendations and helping us understand what the people around us were eating so that we could make a decision on what we wanted. He brought our drinks and then slipped away to the kitchen for like 15 minutes, which seemed a bit long for the period between drinks and an appetizer order. My wife and I ended up both ordering seafood, I got the blackened salmon and she ordered the crispy branzini. I'm not much of a seafood man myself, but I must say, it was some of the best salmon that I've ever had in my life. My wife, who is a seafood person, agreed with me. In our opinion, the fish was just about perfect and complemented very well by the sauce that accompanied it. I was deeply impressed. Now we get to "the damage" as my father used to say. I expected to pay a little more for the meal and I wasn't particularly shocked by the final bill (a little under $100 for the two of us). The food was worth the price, but the combination of everything else made it feel a little high. Here's my final review. As always, my wife and I employ a 5 point rating system for the restaurants we visit. Here's how Bazin's faired: 1. Atmosphere: 2/5 Bazin's has the opportunity to be really cool and a nice, classy spot. But the bar, TV and open kitchen definitely took away from the feeling and ended up being more of a distraction to us than a cool feature. 2. Price: 3/5 Not unreasonable, but a bit on the higher side. $100 for a meal for two + an appetizer feels a bit steep, but your mileage may vary. 3. Staff: 4/5 The staff was great. Kind, helpful and thoughtful. The only ding was that we had some pretty significant periods of waiting before we were able to place our order. 4. Food: 5/5 Best seafood that we've had in the area, no doubt. The portions were plentiful and it was absolutely delicious. 5. Repeatability: 3/5 This rather subjective standard is used to determine whether or not we would come back to this place regularly. I think we would on another date night, but probably not in another circumstance. We loved the food, but the cost of everything definitely makes it a once-in-a-while kind of restaurant to visit.

I love this place. Simple but delicious menu. The drinks are some of the best I’ve had locally to Vienna. They really cater to your every want and need.

Incredible spot in Vienna! Casual, but you could dress up and not feel out of place. Food was amazing, our server, Tyler, was outstanding, and it was the perfect night to linger over a meal. No one hovered or tried to shoo us out. Definitely a special occasion place, but also not overtly anything specific. You could have a romantic meal as easily as our convivial team dinner. Had the scallops from the specials menu and they were so tender they melted in your mouth. Great wine selection, too!

This was my first visit to this restaurant and it was a nice experience. We sat in their patio area which was nice and cozy and great social spot. The only thing I didn't like was as soon as I arrived for my 745 reservation, the hostess let me know the restaurant and patio close at 9. I understand she was sharing the hours but I felt rushed for a reservation that was accepted. Moving on to the food. I absolutely loved it. The seared salmon with lobster sauce was food I didn't know I needed. My friend ordered their signature sea bass and she enjoyed hers as well. I would definitely come back (at an earlier time) to try their braised short ribs.

I visited on a Saturday evening to refresh my memory of what this kitchen offers as one of the area’s upscale Modern American eateries. The dining room has a cozy feel to go with its size. Noise levels rise as the evening progresses from quiet to moderate. I sat at the 12-seat bar with the bartender greeting me within a couple of minutes. Service was uniformly attentive and unobtrusive through my just over two hours there. The menu overall accommodates gluten-free appetites as stated by others and tends to have rich offerings with cheeses and creams to accent starches and sauces for more items than not. I ordered from both the standard menu and the advertised special menu: tuna tartare and potato-onion ravioli for appetizers, rockfish and pork chop for mains, and key lime pie and strawberry shortcake for desserts. An aperol spritz as an opening drink had an assuringly assertive flavor. The tartare texture was more chunky than other versions, but the flavors of the fish and avocado certainly came through with a great tasting siracha vinaigrette. The presentation shrouds the actual tartare under the shadow of the flatbread chip and arugula and pickled onion garnish, but an enjoyable start to my meal was certainly there. The ravioli itself had a welcome al dente feel and a clean potato taste in the inside. I felt the amount of cream could be cut to be more proportionate to the accompanying chive oil for more balance. The rockfish was cooked nearly perfectly, and I really enjoyed the creaminess of the Parmesan orzo contrasted with earthy and slightly bitter spinach. The pork chop was grilled to the suggested medium temperature and remained a little juicy. The cheesy grits were cooked splendidly as were the brussel sprouts garnish and a well-portioned smattering of bacon shards. The red wine reduction sauce was very smooth with a pleasing consistency and not too sweet or over reduced. Both entree plates returned to the kitchen as clean as I could reasonably make them. The restrained (and appreciated) key lime pie portion had subtle flavors throughout. I would have appreciated more assertive flavors from the tartness of the custard and brightness from the berries as well as a more syrup consistency in the compote (drops of blueberry stained water started to fall down my pie slice as I ate). The capper for me was the shortcake, a delightful rendition with just the right texture, sweetness, and butteriness to go with perfectly macerated strawberries and proper chantilly cream. The entire meal cost about $120 excluding tax, tip, and a very much nonstandard for the area 3% service charge for non-cash transactions. For the area, portions, and quality, I left feeling like I received a satisfying value for my overall experience and could return in the future for a special occasion or holiday eating when rich eating almost inextricably goes with the season.

Love this spot. First of all, the staff here is exceptional, always putting the patrons first. Food was delightful. Crispy oyster appetizer was possibly one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. The braised short ribs were nothing short of phenomenal. Great experience, highly recommend.

Vienna Inn, a renowned establishment in Vienna, is famous for its chili dogs and unique decor featuring wood paneling and vintage booths. Situated in the heart of town, this iconic restaurant is a must-visit destination. The signature chili dog offered here is absolutely scrumptious, boasting well-balanced flavors that leave customers fully satisfied with the generous portion sizes. With reasonable prices that may not be explicitly listed on the menu, patrons are encouraged to indulge in their delectable offerings without hesitation.
Vienna Inn is a true landmark. Serving comfort food like Cream Chipped Beef for breakfast and Chili World Famous Chili Dogs🌭 for lunch and dinner with plenty of beer🍺 on tap. The atmosphere is very casual. Several big screen TVs. Plenty of parking. Go and enjoy!

The service was friendly and quick. The food was pretty unremarkable. The loaded chili dog was fine, but basically gas station quality. Nothing exceptional about it. Fries were pretty good, not great. Fried stuffed peppers were okay. Tasted like a frozen grocery store appetizer. The vibe is like 50/50 old school diner and dive bar. No prices on the menus.

This is a cool local joint with a bar and delicious diner type food. The small parking lot adjacent to the building has the back half of it taken up by their outside eating area, which is located under a tent. Be sure to let them know if you’re sitting outside to be waited on. The inside dining area is a bit cramped but it’s a fun atmosphere with some big screens for watching sports. My husband loves their chili hotdogs and I really enjoy their sweet potato fries! Don’t get their chicken tenders though, they’re too thin and the breading isn’t very flavorful. The wait staff is always very friendly and efficient.

We came, we saw, we went and we won’t likely be back. Let’s start from the top: this establishment is very clearly in need of a good scrub down. The floor tiles that were once white are now grey. Dust bunnies collecting in every corner. One can only hope the cleaning supplies are used up in the kitchen. Plate served was chipped: hello bacteria breeding ground! I saw a clipped newspaper article stating $125k worth of damages was sustained after a fire a long time ago. Sad, but whoever was in charge of the renovations following that fire should probably not be in business anymore. We waited over 45 minutes for a sandwich and fish tacos, meanwhile several other tables who had come in after us and were served and finished with their meal by the time we received ours. Server dropped the food and never returned, no silverware in sight. Times are tough right now & we’re doing our best to support local business. Hard to do when the local businesses aren’t up to par. Also to add, this couldn’t possibly be a staffing issue when the place was half empty, and there were several servers & bartenders. Our particular server was seen several times texting & eating behind the bar. If you’re looking for a dive bar with subpar eats, then this is the place for you.

I had high expectations having read many spy thrillers through the ages. The Vienna Inn is referred to both anonymously and explicitly by authors for at least a couple decades. This visit did not disappoint. Wizened men in the back reading thick history books sipping whisky at 8AM proved I was in the right place. The food and service were excellent. I can’t wait to visit again, hopefully for many hours conversing with strangers.

Old school diner at it's finest. Great food, super friendly service, scrappy booths and bench seating. This is where the local restaurant owners go to eat. Been here forever.

Blackened Tuna Sandwich was pretty solid. You order fountain drinks and after it’s self serve. It was pretty busy indoors during lunch time but there is also outdoor seat for larger groups! I think their service was pretty fast considering how busy it was. I also tried the chili cheese fries and it didn’t seem that special to me...maybe I’ll try the chili dogs next time.

This restaurant had a unique 90's bar feel to it. I ordered the fully loaded dog and chili was mild and food was fine. Side of fries were pretty good.

Love the Vienna Inn.  I first came here on Thursday September 24, 1992 after a failed attempt to take 3 friends up to the O’s game thanks to a faulty Alternator.  We broke down on 395 North just past the lowest point elevation-wise in DC.  After walking a distance to a Pay Phone to call a tow truck, the car was towed and a friend picked us up, and the decision was made by the others to bail on our attempt to see the O's and just go meet up with friends at the Vienna Inn, a regular stop for them since 1990.  The others all lived in Vienna and I lived in Falls Church at the time.  Lots of memories made at the Vienna Inn since that fateful night of my first visit and it changed my life forever.  From there I regularly went to the Vienna Inn on Thursdays with the group, perhaps 40 to 45 weeks every year, through marriages, babies, different jobs, and moves out of town.  I moved to South Carolina in 2022 and every visit back to Virginia my priority visit besides family is meeting up with our Thursday night group at the Vienna Inn.  The last visit was Thursday February 22.  Fries, Beers are the early staples to go with conversation and laughs. Dinner for me there is typically a self titled “Crisco” Burger… which is a bacon cheeseburger with American Cheese and a fried egg on top cooked to squirt in my eye on the first bite and we add a Grilled Jalapeno on the side.  This visit I just went with a Cheeseburger which never disappoints.  Picture included.  Also love to site along the wall of photos on the wall that parallels 123.  Marty the owner and his top notch crew of VI staff are always so kind and attentive.  The place is a Vienna original and stands the test of time.  Always coming back!
AL Hering — Google review
This place is a classic. The food is reasonably priced for the Vienna area. My personal favorite here is the chili mac. The onions give it that constraint from the graininess of the chili, and chili has a lot of flavor. I also like the open-faced steak dish here, as the gravy is not too salty. It can be hard to find seating here, especially after a sports game, or on a Friday night. I’ve been here multiple times, and sometimes I’ve had nice servers, but one time, I had a server who gave us a bit of attitude when taking my order, and didn’t ask about drinks. Our food also took forever to order and when we asked her, it seemed like she didn’t remember our order. Regardless, the food quality here is pretty good.

Maple Ave Restaurant is a contemporary establishment that offers farm-to-table cuisine and innovative cocktails infused with Asian-Latin influences. The ambiance of the restaurant reflects simplicity and warm earth tones. Recently, a couple celebrated their anniversary at Maple Ave, where they had an exceptional dining experience. Both individuals follow a vegan diet and cannot consume gluten, but with prior communication, the restaurant created an entire customized menu that catered to their dietary restrictions.
Fantastic 3 course brunch yesterday. We had the fuyu persimmon salad, bbq pork empanada, panko chicken sandwich, truffle eggs, donut holes and chocolate mousse. Everything excellent! Service was great, felt just wonderful being there. Highly recommended, will be back again soon. Thank you Maple Ave!

So glad they are back in business after COVID-19!! We had Saturday brunch around 10:30 when they opened. They had a few tables opened to walk-ins but most tables already reserved. We were lucky. We recommend getting reservations. The omelet, fried tomatoes, hone made Pastry, pancakes and coffee all wonderful delicious and unique We highly recommend. Go early. Not a lot of parking space and few tables.

We’re new to the area and picked a brunch spot near by, and we’re so grateful we picked Maple Ave! This restaurant is owned and solely operated by a couple, and it’s shown with the passion they put in their dishes and service. The menu is seasonal depending on local farm ingredients, and decision with a Lithuanian twist on dishes. The brunch comes as a $26 prix-fixe option and has an appetizer and main course dish- great amount of food and quality for that price! We’ll definitely be back

THEY ARE OPEN AGAIN! Just reopened for seated dining. We had a great first visit. Set monthly menu, 4 courses of 2 choices (more choices for dessert). Each dish was beautifully presented and wonderfully delicious. Subtle spicing and herb flavors with each serving. Couldn't have been happier with the attentive service as well. Will certainly return.

The food was fine but nothing really outstanding. The salad was standard and the appetizer bread was a bit too hard for my liking. I thought the pork was tender but I didn’t particularly enjoy the flavor. The potatoes were crispy and good though. The dessert of ice cream didn’t seem homemade and overall the food would not entice me to return.

So glad we stopped here for brunch before my mother in law's flight back to Turkey! It's a tiny restaurant run by the two owners. Concise menu, but everything was delicious- we all ordered different first and second courses to share so we got a good sample of their offerings. I can't pick a favorite, but highly recommend the okra... that dill yogurt sauce is absolutely amazing! The service was great, and they were very accommodating about substituting the bacon with turkey bacon (so good!) Prices are reasonable for what it is, and so worth it. We're excited to come back for dinner next time we're in the area!

Had an anniversary dinner a few months ago here, it was wonderful. My partner and I are both vegan, and I can't eat gluten, and with calling ahead they were able to tailor an ENTIRE MENU for us that we could both choose items from to eat! It was incredibly delicious, the portion sizes were perfect, and the dessert was fantastic as well. The wild mushroom risotto especially had an outstanding flavour. It was such a nice way to spend our anniversary, and I'm very thankful for how they were able to cater to our needs. Much appreciated, will definitely be coming here again.

This is a great, very small restaurant with a focus on quality and interesting preparations. The price is very reasonable for the quality and variety of food. The only downside (not for me but some) is that the portions for the prix fixe menu are not huge. I always leave feeling comfortably full but not stuffed.

Great brunch location with a full vegan menu. And appreciate the service offering patrons to select from both vegan and nonvegan menus for prix fixe. Definitely recommend reservations as it's an intimate setting of about 10-12 tables. Presentation was beautiful -- great French press coffee. We enjoyed the summer salad, fried green tomatoes, buckwheat crepe and mushroom risotto. All so flavorful and beautifully presented.

A great brunch spot although the restaurant is super small so be sure to make reservations ahead of time. The parking lot is very small as well. The food was good although the menu was a tad limited to a fixed brunch meal. Not the near for picky eaters although they did a great job omitting items such as meat from various dishes (on request$.

Just a minimal amount of delicious dishes and exquisite cocktails. The place is small and comfortable. The service is great

We got the Brunch Prix Fixe The first course was an amazing buckwheat crepe dulce de leche with vanilla custard and summer jam The crepe is lightly dusted with powdered sugar and it is so airy but flavorful! The custard and the dulce flavor really comes through in each bite. It feels silky in your mouth with a wonderful texture! I've never been a fan of Okra but the caramelized Okra with the yogurt dill sauce was wonderful! It was crispy on the outside but juicy inside and each bite had a hint of dill and was just SO good! Usually Okra isn't cooked properly and I don't enjoy it but I will definitely be ordering this again. My husband loved the Okra. The main course, the Almond and ricotta pancakes with apple wood smoked bacon and seasoned potatoes is my favorit!!! The pancakes are literally the best I have ever had. They come with light dusting of powdered sugar with the perfect amount of butter and syrup. The pancakes melt in your mouth. The almond pieces give it a wonderful, full texture, while still reamaining fluffy and airy and light feeling. They are so delicious and decadent. My husband said the potatos are better than perfect and he has had plenty of potatos. He said they are the perfect compliment to the pancakes with the crunchy crispy contrast to the soft pancake - crispy, crunchy, salty vs sweet and soft and airy The restaurant is also beautiful inside and the staff are so polite and helpful as well as super accommodating. If you have any allergies you can let them know. This is one of the best places to get an incredible meal! The Lithuanian donut holes are also such a great treat. I love these and so does my daughter! They arrived with a dollup on vanilla bean ice cream and each donut placed on a scoop of nutella! The combination of the fried warm donut with the cold creamy ice cream is amazing, like a harmony in your mouth. We love this place and plan on coming back.

Cafe Renaissance is an old-fashioned destination located in a strip mall, offering a French menu and an extensive selection of wines. The restaurant boasts elaborately decorated rooms, filled with opulent gold accents. Upon entering, one can admire the exquisite interior featuring beautiful paintings and vibrant floral arrangements including peonies, hydrangeas, and tulips. The establishment provides outstanding service as experienced by a group of friends who visited for afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday.
Went here for my wife’s birthday. We had gone in 2013, really enjoyed it, but just hadn’t been back. I got the five course without wine pairing, my wife got it with. Appetizers were crab cakes, shrimp, and lobster ravioli. They are all good, but I liked the crab cake the most. Caesar salad was good, had a horseradish taste to it. The Almond Lemon Halibut was really the standout for me. Cooked to perfection, had an amazing texture and the flavor was great. It was served with the most perfect, sweetest, cooked carrot. I had ordered the Beef Tenderloin to be between medium and medium well, which they also did perfectly. It was served with a black pepper sauce (?). I found the sauce enjoyable, and different (added a sensation to my mouth), but would probably ask for it on the side next time. Desert was chocolate mousse, napoleon and a chocolate swirl cake. The mousse blew it all away. Had a cappuccino and port after, and would recommend both. Great service, friendly people. We’ll be back sooner this time.

Do not expect a huge spacious restaurant, instead you'll find a cozy and warm two room very well decorated. Each with their own character. From the chairs. All different for each table. The silverware unique on each table and the walls full of French artwork. In the main room you'll see some delightful murals. The food is really good and the service excellent. Good variety of wines and cocktails. We went the for our wedding anniversary and since we enter they greeted us with a "happy anniversary!" Also they offered to take a picture of us. At the end they gave us a complimentary dessert. Great experience. Definitely, we'll be return. The reason for the 4 starts is that we notice food and drink stains on the walls and a couple flies by the window, easy fix right?

Finding the perfect spot for a birthday dinner can be challenging, but Cafe Renaissance exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the stage for a memorable evening. The ambiance at Cafe Renaissance is simply enchanting, with soft lighting, cozy seating, and tasteful decor creating an intimate setting perfect for celebrating special occasions. The menu at Cafe Renaissance offers a delightful array of dishes to satisfy any palate. What truly sets Cafe Renaissance apart is the attention to detail and personalized service. I can't recommend it highly enough and look forward to returning for future celebrations.

What a cute little place! We made a reservation and came here for Valentine's day. It is in a little shopping center so parking isn't an issue. Four our drinks, I got a glass of red wine and my boyfriend ordered the Hemingway in Paris cocktail which was easy to drink and pretty good. I was not a fan of the Professor cocktail that he ordered as it was a little stronger and a little more bitter. The staff is so friendly and personable and just made the experience amazing. The owner/host socialized with all the tables and was fantastic. For our appetizer, we got the Huîtres chaudes gratindées aux épinards which were the baked oysters. The oysters were a decent size and a great flavor. We also ordered the Terrine foie de Volaille et Parc. The flavor on this was great and the sauce paired well with the bread. For dinner, I ordered the Jarrets d'agneau braisés au vin Rouge which was the Braised Lamb shank. The Lamb was SO tender but I did wish there was a sauce with it. My boyfriend ordered the Confit de canard à l'orange. That was the duck confit and it was SO good. It was tender and well cooked and the flavor was amazing. For our desserts, I was poured some complimentary port and I ordered a creme brulee cheesecake and my boyfriend ordered the flour less chocolate cake. The Cheesecake was a standard NY cheesecake but I die like the creme brulee topping with the raspberry sauce. The chocolate cake was just a tad too rich for me but still good. Overall definitely recommend coming here!

Very cute, cozy, romantic setting, hospitable staff. We didn’t even realize the owner was attending to us. Really nice guy, reminds me of my father (they have the same name too). Food was great, would recommend.

My first fine dining experience here was for a birthday dinner! The experience was amazing throughout and the owner even came to our table to have some great conversations and take our orders. The service is very personalized and the waiters are very pleasant. We even got some virgin mocktails on the house for the kids! The French food tastes authentic, is so delicious, and the presentation is absolutely perfect! I especially enjoyed the filet mignon and the crème brûlée. The filet mignon was full of flavour and cooked very well. I also enjoyed the crème brûlée. It is the best I’ve ever had and it tastes great with the crispy charred and creamy texture! The latte was a pretty good nice warm drink to end such a great meal. Also, I like the atmosphere of this restaurant because it really is on par with the French design style. What an amazing place to eat at! Definitely recommend for fine dining and worth the money to eat here for something special! Merci beaucoup! J’adore le expérience!

Delicious takeout food. I got the sautéed chicken breast, which was amazing. The sauce was great. The vegetable sides were good. Even the next day reheated, it tasted great. I didn't eat the fettuccine in bolognese sauce, but my mother and my brother in law both said it was good. Their creme brulee cheesecake was good. Though my sister said it wasn't quite cheesecake and more creme brulee. And they gave us a loaf of bread! Prices were pretty good for our items too, all less than $20. I would definitely order from here again. And now my family is curious about their larger dine-in menu.

Honestly, this is one of my favorite restaurants. The price is reasonable they’re very generous with their wine pores. They offer a variety of specialty cocktails that are unique and good. This is a small restaurant and it is family owned, but it is fabulous and upscale. I’ve been coming here now for at least two or three years and I’m never disappointed. The owners are always around and making sure that customers are happy. They are very personable and the portions are reasonable. One of my favorite things is the escargot. I also enjoy the variety of side salads that they have and their lamb shank is amazing. They always have a wonderful desserts and you just can’t say no to that. Trust me. I have not tried their high tea yet, but I am looking forward to taking my daughter to go. I will say that they also accommodate my gluten sensitivities and I’m very happy about that. I feel that the service is prompt. However, they don’t overcrowd you or go too fast with the courses. They also have a very reasonable five course tasting menu that you can do with or without a wine pairing. The service is excellent, and everyone is extremely personable, friendly, and happy. They go have a versatile menu for you to choose from. Thank you to the owners and staff for all you do. Perfect for a nice romantic date night or just to go out and enjoy some good food.

Classic French fare and French- inspired Italian creations are the menu du jour. With an extensive wine list and expertly made cocktails, all served by an attentive team, you're assured to have a great meal. Pace yourself -- it's a gluttonous gastronomic experience.

The absolute BEST food, service, hospitality, and drink list you could ask for! We have loved coming to Cafe Renaissance for years and each time it gets better and better. The owners treat you like family and provide you with the best conversation. We could not speak more highly of them! Visit for a week night dinner or a special occasion. Don’t forget to finish the night with an Irish (decaf?!) coffee, it’s a tableside show!

Lovely neighborhood French restaurant! 20 years in NoVA and happy to discover this place in our backyard. Had traditional turkey sampling (prix fixe) escargot, crab stuffed sole, lobster ravioli, braised lamb shank, cappuccinos, and more. Not cheap but reasonable for a 3 course prix fixe meal for 5 on a holiday. We will be back.

Came here for afternoon tea before the holidays and it was quite lovely. The food and the tea were exquisite. The space is a little tight for a wheelchair but a walker would be fine.

Our first time here. We came with friends who highly recommended Cafe Renaissance. Food lovingly prepared and fresh, excellent wine choice, atmosphere quiet, relaxing. Nice choice of music too. We tried escargot, Caesar salad, pasta with scallops and shrimp, the special: stuffed flounder with crabmeat, basically seafood for our main dishes. Desserts fresh and satisfying. We will absolutely return. We found a little gem in Vienna.

Today, I stepped into Cafe Renaissance for the first time and was immediately impressed with the beauty of the interior. From the paintings to the fresh peonies, hydrangeas, and tulips, everything was lovely. From the first impression to the moment we left, everything was superb. My friends and I came for afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday, and we enjoyed the food, tea, cocktails and the service. Henry, our waiter, was attentive and charming as was the owner. This group loves tearooms and we are always on a quest for new ones. Cafe Renaissance is now rating at the top of the list.

The food was so good but the service and warmth were even more impressive. My family of 5, including 3 kids ages 5, 8, and 10, celebrated my birthday here this evening. Each course was better than the last but honestly, our server and the gentleman at the front of the restaurant were the true highlights. They treated my family as their own and were so kind to my kids. I felt totally at home and in addition to savoring every single bite, felt so cared for and welcomed. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed my birthday meal thanks to every single person in this fabulous restaurant. We will be back time and time again! This place can’t be beat!

The service is impeccable, with attentive staff who anticipate your every need. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a night out, Cafe Renaissance never fails to impress. A true gem in the culinary landscape.
