Day-use park with a sandy beach, a picnic shelter, volleyball courts, restrooms & a play structure.
Great for dogs over the winter. Rocks, water, sand, easy parking and other dogs to play with. Don't know what it's like April-november, but dogs are not welcome then, so I bet it's a fun and easy beach to hang out at

I grew up there as a child. The beach is always fantastic and the life guards are always on the alert. Feel free to buy some food. It's always made fresh.

Great little beach with food & clean bathrooms. But be aware from May 1 to October 1, parking at Campo Beach is ONLY for Westport residents. Your parking ticket will call cost you $150. There is NO street parking, you’ll need to drive further to a public beach or pay the hefty fine. Luckily, there’s 80° days in early October. So come enjoy Campo Beach then.

I have been to Compo many times. I the winter I bring my dog for walks on the sand. In the summer and Fall I come in the evening for sunsets with food and beverages on the sand. Very enjoyable and very relaxing.

A nice beach during the off and summer season, has a great playground for kids to play on and a overall very well managed area in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. There is also bathrooms, a skatepark, basketball and volleyball courts as well as a small dining area which serves a variety of meals. If you’re a fisherman or go shellfishing this spot is great for Porgy (Scub), Stripers and Quahogs.

Beautiful clean beach! The water was surprisingly more clear then I expected. Lots of benches and picnic tables. Plenty of parking and they recently added and additional bathroom area. The sand is full of sea shells so I suggest wearing water shoes.

Excellent beach, clean water, big playground, many tables for parties, some are under the roof. Bathrooms are clean. There is a chair and umbrella rental. Lockers. Restaurant. Bay watch and first aid. Parking is quite expensive, it's 65,- on the weekend, but you don't have to pay for the entrance. Another minus that you are not allowed to go out from parking and come back later. There is also a place for skateboarding. It's worth coming here from NY state..
Olga Gold — Google review
Nice off-season beach. I imagine in summer it gets a bit crazy here and there are prohibitive fees. Nice beach though, very clean, ample parking, large playground, pickle ball courts, skateboard park and lots of well-maintained porta potties. Bring your own provisions, as there is nothing to be had really close by, at least the one place there is was closed when I got there.
Ana G — Google review
Gorgeous beach (for CT), not huge but they control capacity well. Pricey to park for the day, but if you're dropped off you're fine. Very kid friendly, with a playground right on the sand.

Nice beach with a lot of facilities, they have restrooms, water fountains, a big playground, volleyball courts, a store with lots of snacks and fast food. Another great thing about it is that they have a lot of accessibility with special chairs and paths. There are also some picnic tables. You can get a Westport recreation parks sticker or pay for a daily visit.

Nice Beach But the place is not all welcoming. Wanted to go to Beach not a resident. The first two people at the entrance we met were very nice and directed us to a second person that was at the entrance to the beach. He was an older(white) man he questioned us about coming here and just was not nice. Felt like he was discouraging us because we were people of color. It's 2023 Gee!

On my trip to Massachussets (Nov 10th) i was able to visit Moca Westport since i found out Yayoi Kusama “Narcissus” and “infinity room” were the temporary exhibit. I saw Narcissus in NYC summer 2017 but i will never get tired of it. Amazing artist, incredible exhibit. I recommend anyone to enjoy one or more of her exhibits soon!

What is the world coming to...I plan a day with my son to see the museum, drive over an 1hr to get there only to pull up to an empty parking lot. Hopeful there's a mistake ( because I went to the website and didn't see anything about the museum being closed and called and listen to the voicemail reiterate the hours advertised on Google and the website of 12-4pm). To my huge disappointment it was not a mistake. The museum wasn't open and there was no indication of the change except for digging for it on the website. Very much a disservice to the public who the museums are for. A public place should have the bear minimum professionalism to put right there on the website homepage that they are TEMPORARILY CLOSED or at the very little effort update the voice-mail that u are temporarily closed. This is what we get for trying to frequent our home CT??

My daughter recently started attending weekly after school workshops at MoCA and loves it! She has such a great time with Erika, the instructor and its a nice feeling to know she’s having the time of her life for a few hours. She has made robots, paintings, printmaking, and as a treat, put on a puppet show with some of her crafts that she made. So glad we found this gem of an art space! :)
Cece Parra — Google review
Westport Arts Center is a nice, modest-sized gallery with friendly staff. However, we went lately for a string quartet concert. The music was excellent, but the venue is not ideal for such a concert. The ceiling is too low, which made the musicians look uncomfortable when they stood. The management is looking for a new space. I hope they find one that is more suitable for concerts.
David Pittman — Google review
We went to see Kusama. They charged $25 a ticket without telling us it was only two of her installations, (one which you could only see for two minutes, and only a single time.) so it’s $25 for 5-10 minutes: there was no other art. I know kusama is a big artist but that kind of fee for only two pieces is just really pretentious. At least be up front about it or don’t open till you have more stuff.

Awesome volunteer-run observatory. They are open to the public on some Wednesday nights, can check their website for info because depends if weather is clear and sky is visible. Very welcoming and knowledgeable crowd, excited to share their passion for astronomy, really cool experience overall!!
Clare R — Google review
every wednesday unless it's cloudy, they come out and let you use the telescopes, though they do the pointing. pretty good all things considered. Can't help the location but light pollution from the town and parkway hurts, though not through the telescopes that much. great views of astronomical objects through the telescopes, and members can sign up for classes on how to use the telescopes. nice monthly lectures, and a few other things. all in all, a great organization that does a lot.

1xjxn1j IGN — Google review
My girlfriend and I visited on the 10th of June, which is their weekly free and open-to-the-public night. It is a little tricky to find the observatory, especially at night, but if you just continue all the way down the road you will find the observatory just fine. We were initially a little intimidated by the amount of cars and people, and did not know where we should be. We decided to walk to the top of the observatory and immediately met two very nice gentlemen who were operating the telescope and showing us (among others) stars and planets. The two members were incredibly knowledgeable and were willing to answer my many questions. We saw incredible views of Saturn, Venus, Jupiter, nebula's, galaxies, and many other interesting night sky objects. After looking through the indoor 12.5" telescope for quite awhile, we went out on the lawn to see the 25" telescope. That telescope was quite a sight to see, I believe they said it was 14' tall and required a ladder to look through. I was impressed tremendously that the gentleman operating it was able to find night sky objects so easily. The view was even more excellent from this scope. Overall, it was a great experience and a lot of fun. My girlfriend and I actually enjoyed it so much that we signed up for membership at the observatory, which is very reasonable. I would highly recommend visiting to anyone interested in astronomy, stargazing, space, or simply looking for something enjoyable (and free) to do on a Wednesday night.

Explanation for 4 star review at bottom! First time going and although it was a full moon, I was able to see Jupiter and a few other planets. Still takes tour breath away to see it in person and not on tv. The older gentlemen running the program were very informative and helpful, even with the history of the old army base where the tower now sits One negative thing; the younger gentleman in the field with equipment (dare I use improper terminology cause he may get in a tizzy) was VERY rude. I’m not an astronomer, clearly as he mad civilians aware of that, and was very ungrateful that we were even there trying learn. I was simply in awe of seeing such a spectacular sight that I stated it looked fake, and his response was far from comforting (I obviously know it’s not up close and detailed, but seeing it for the first time was breathtaking and he literally ripped that experience from me with his negativity and rudeness) A few others, as well as my party, didn’t know where to go first or at all or how to operate such intimidating equipment other than a basic telescope or binoculars. Not sure if he was a volunteer, but I would NOT come back if he wasn’t!

Library
I would like to thank Marc, one of the wonderful library staff members here. The tall man with curly brown hair and glasses was extraordinary kind, friedly, patient, and helpful to assist me. It is so rare to meet someone like him nowadays. I was just a guest. Again, thank you so much for your help, Marc. This library is such a beauty. Every single detail is made of love. And that reflects on the people working here for sure. Both the architecture and the interior are breathtaking. That's so inspiring. Recently I just read an article about this building in an architecture magazine. And it struck me literally. It is worth the visit. Not only that but also people here are worth the visit, too.
Ray Bickel — Google review
Wonderful location, business friendly spaces, with light pouring in from window walls, a café, a store, DIY maker spaces, meeting and study rooms, a huge hall for book fairs. Yet, it's not a library. The building is not about books and reading, or concentration. It does not offer a cozily protective atmosphere. Tables on which you can actually work with books and laptops are limited. Among the sources of disturbance, a huge screen irradiating images. This is a multifunctional community center, not a library. The best place in the building is actually outside: the terrace by the cafe. Unfortunately, it's hard to use it from December to March.
Andrea Celli — Google review
What an idyllic spot to sit on one of the many benches next to the brickwalk. I grew up in this library as a child in the many children's activities and section of the library, and I took my son, James, there as well for the essential and creative group and independent activities. Now, I enjoy a hot coffee ☕ on the bench contemplating the town, past and present as the river goes by. Splendidly peaceful and contemplative.

Lovely library and staff I love the modern feel and study rooms
Jennifer Glen — Google review
This dynamic library stands as a true community gem. The staff comprises top-tier professionals, all dedicated to fulfilling your needs. The children's programming, skillfully directed by Mary Parmelee, consistently goes above and beyond expectations. Additionally, the library cafe offers diverse nutritious choices in a welcoming atmosphere. Without a doubt, this is an essential destination for a family outing.
Cara Zimon — Google review
This is the best library I have been to in America. Not because of the architecture or stately gardens or grounds, but because of it’s usefulness to the community. A building full of books, sure, it is that. But on top of that, opportunities for learning and community growth abound. It has a stage for talks and performances (complete with a grand piano), a recording studio, a post production studio, a control room, a lab for 3D printing, a gallery, a coffee shop, a “library of stuff” where you can check out tools and other hobbiest items. In Westport they have taken the idea of what a library can do for the community and expanded upon it.

We love it here! It is so peaceful and very relaxing! Tons of parking. You have to wear swim shoes because in some areas in the water there are rocks as well as little se shells on parts of the beach near the water.

Beautiful, Sunny but windy. Only 1 or 2 trash cans, yet no litter. A few porta pottys. Nice place picture perfect
Robert Tabar — Google review
A few years back I did not like swimming here because the Big Dung Bird poop covered the entire lawn space and made it difficult to walk from the parking lot to the water! Yesterday my friend and I loved every minute of our visit! We found hundreds of the most beautiful sea shells - bright orange, yellow, green and white! We washed them and have them temporarily stored until we buy a tererium. So nice and sunny day at the beach. And the memorial for 9/11 is beautiful- I lost 2 college team mates that day. Thank you.

If you live in NY but want to bring your family to a nice beach without the fighting, cursing and littering associated with (some) of today's youths then its more than worth the hour drive to come to Sherwood Island Beach in Westport CT. Bought the wife and daughter up here on a Tuesday (come during the week to avoid the usual rush on weekends) nice peaceful crowd and ample space. We did a little BBQ for lunch , packed it back up and headed for the beach which is literally across the road from the grills. $15 dollars for out of town residents, but they take cash, debit or credit. Ample parking available and cannot forget the Nature Center for the enthusiasts. This Park is very clean, has Rangers patrolling the parking lot routinely, and offers the most peaceful atmosphere to could ask for in the summer. Vending machines, showers, and restrooms located in the same house. People here are very friendly and like to wave, so wave back and enjoy. The beach is very clean however be sure to bring water shoes for the little ones as the shells can be sharp on the sand. This is one of the best beaches around and for all that it has to offer you'll won't mind sitting in traffic.
Jariel F — Google review
Pretty cool place! And free for ct residences as long as you have a ct plate! Hate how you get kicked out by security 30 minutes before sunset while others are still having a BBQ picnic. But the place is beautiful. But honestly. Instead of kicking out people who are walking about, taking photos, start asking the people who are having picnics still cooking and partying listening to music. The views are spectacular though! Lots to see and walk! But enjoy it before sunset because the security here will push hard to make you leave. Threatening to give us tickets if they don't leave in ten minutes. Sir.... Relax. I could be outta here in five minutes. Why are you asking me three times to leave as I continue to take photos of my friends, as we are moving to the car? Worry about the families who are still partying! 😂. Oh the rc airplane flight area is awesome! Watching people fly is pretty cool! Don't go here if you want to enjoy a sunset. They'll kick you out 30 minutes before. And don't listen to Google. They say park closes at 830 but they started kicking everyone out by 7. Dumb.
Kevin Wing — Google review
7.1.23 Our 1st time here. Free parking for CT residents. We parked on the West beach area and walked to the Pavillion and East Beach to scope it all out. There are many public restrooms and changing areas which were very clean and well ventilated. Many picnic areas for folks to sit in the shade, have a cook out, etc. The beach sand itself was a bit rocky so I suggest beach shoes. I thought the water was gross so I didn't go in but my bf said it was also a bit rocky where he went swimming. The beach itself was wonderful and quiet. We did enjoy a beautiful sunny day there.

French restaurant
Rive Bistro, a casual French eatery located by the Saugatuck River in Westport, offers a delightful dining experience in a bright and picturesque setting. Created by Chef Eric Sierra, this charming restaurant is an epitome of authentic French bistro cuisine. It's known for its classic dishes and Sunday brunch, which can be enjoyed while overlooking the river through the wrap-around windows or on the outdoor patio.
I held my bridal shower here in their private space on the second floor and everyone at the event was blown away by the quality of the food and service from Rive Bistro. The events staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and the food is outstanding! Plus they’re very flexible with event timing and set-up needs. To top it off, the view of the river can’t be beat! I’ve been to Rive Bistro since for romantic dinners with my now-husband and it’s become one of my favorite spots in the area.

Just loved our visit here. On a Saturday, we drove into the parking lot at 11:50, while empty to return at 12:15 and was full. We were pleasantly greeted without reservations. Seated with a view on a high/top. The bottom section along the river views was already full. Soon after drinks were served we ordered Augratin Oysters. Be sure to ask for side of bread too. Order this as is simply YUM. Main dishes also gorgeous was Grilled Chicken sandwich and French style ham and cheese with a fried egg w/side salad. French fries were hot and very good. Overall food, atmosphere & service just superb.

My wife and I attended a wedding on December 30th and had an amazing time. The food was fantastic. She got the chicken and I got the Gnocchi even though I am not the fan of mushrooms, the Gnocchi was delicious and I devoured it. The staff were welcoming and made sure we all had a good time. The atmosphere was gorgeous . Overall my experience was excellent!

Attended an absolutely beautiful and elegant event on Dec 30th and was absolutely blown away by the quality of both the food and staff. Immediately upon arrival we were greeted by incredibly friendly and attentive staff and were offered drinks. Prior to the event start, a waitress came around to refill our glasses and made sure we were set so as not to leave during the event. For dinner, I ordered the chicken and my husband ordered the gnocchi, both of which were absolutely delicious, and even my husband who is not a huge mushroom fan devoured the gnocchi. Additionally I want to add that the staff was incredibly competent with food allergies and restrictions. I have celiac and the waitress was very on top of making sure I knew my options and was able to safely enjoy the food. When the dessert trays came out, she came right up to me and showed me exactly which desserts I was able to enjoy. I truly have no complaints about any part of the wonderful night. Will definitely be returning to this wonderful establishment!

Have been going to Rive for many years. And it used to be one of my favorite places in Westport. But recently, I feel that the new management team is making bad changes to the menu and overall experience. My favorite salad is now served half of the original portion for the same price. A lot of the classic and original French dishes are not being served anymore or is now being served with a “different” twist. In my opinion, bad twist. Stick to the classics. That’s what we expect when we go to a Bistro. The service hasn’t been great. Constantly changing the staff. The cappuccino wasn’t made correctly. The food is still very good, but the experience isn’t anymore.

Attended a private event on the second floor. As soon as I walked into the location I was blown away by the space itself. The atmosphere was beautiful. The staff working the event were very polite and welcoming. Food was amazing. I picked the beet salad and it was great! My fiancé who isn’t a fan of beets also tried it and loved it. I also had the salmon which came with asparagus and it was delicious! Overall, my experience was excellent. I will definitely be going back to Rive Bistro as I would love to try more things on the menu like the truffle ricotta gnocchi.

Honestly, I don't love giving 5 stars because saying everything was amazing feels disingenuous, but we went here for Moms Nite Out, and everything we got was truly amazing. What a cute place for date night or just a night out. Service was fast, friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable, and the food was spot on even though we were the last table of the night. They didn't rush anything, quality was amazing, and we all left very, very pleased with the experience. This feels like a safe bet for outstanding food and service any time you're looking for a quiet place for a night out that feels upscale without breaking the bank or wearing your highest heels.

Taco restaurant
Bartaco, located in the Westport neighborhood of CT, offers a unique dining experience with its assortment of one-of-a-kind tacos such as oyster and wild boar. The restaurant's beachy ambiance includes both a bar and patio area. Customers have praised Bartaco for its exceptional service, which is said to be a direct reflection of the strong leadership displayed by individuals like Callie H. and Gabriel P.
Cool unique ordering via mobile. The concept is very efficient and you can still get waiter/waitress service if needed. Yummy tasting tacos with a great selection of vegetarian options. Our favourite was the pork belly and mushroom taco! A must get is their chips and guac/salsa roja/salsa verde.
Lynda N — Google review
Bar taco is reasonably priced – and that is the extent to which I can endorse this place, as neither quality nor service merit a return visit. First the food, which is like taco bell in miniature. Imagine a taco but smaller – much smaller – like a taco on the molecular level. You will need many, many tacos to leave this place satisfied, and if they were high quality the pigmy tacos would be far less disappointing. Unfortunately, quality is also lacking. I say this after sampling countless mini-tacos, including the “surprise taco” (not surprisingly, this taco also failed). Drinks were tasty but took eons to arrive, which brings me to the service. All of our servers were cheerful and pleasant, but the vast number of them created difficultly. Apparently, servers are not assigned specific tables. You will likely encounter 5 to 10 different servers throughout your mini meal because they are all serving the entire restaurant, meaning none of them are particularly invested in your dinner. Because everyone owns your table, nobody really owns your table. Food also comes out when it is ready, which works for family style restaurants but sadly breaks down in the mini taco world. I went with a group of 7, and some of us got our fill of mini tacos before others had gotten anything.

I had the spiced chicken verde rice bowl and it was really delicious! It kind of reminded me of Chipotle, but with there own twist. I loved it! The flavors were so delicious and my food came out steaming just how I like. This is definitely my go to whenever I go to a bar taco location again. Food is very good but the tacos are tiny. Each one seems to be about half the size of other restaurants. The fish taco was especially good, but the piece of fish was about the size of my pinky. As far as service goes, everyone was very nice and tried hard, especially since one of our party had lots of allergies and the server was very patient and helpful in figuring out what she could eat. However, food came out sporadically and randomly. A couple things (extra chips, ice tea) we had to ask for 3-4 times. Our meal was pretty much done by the time the tea showed up. To their credit, they did not charge us for it. Overall it was enjoyable. Just be clear about what you'll get. It was my first time. Adjusting my expectations will help if it when I go again.

The service is clearly a reflection of their very strong leadership!! “A strong leader knows the way goes the way and shows the way!” Well done my son (13) and I will continue to be frequent customers for sure!!

Went there with a friend for a late lunch. The atmosphere and servers were super nice! We tried the shrimp and fish tacos and the shrimp bowl. The fish tacos were great but the shrimp tacos and bowl were not good... The shrimp were over-seasoned and didn't seem all that fresh (tough, fishy). The rice in the bowl was unseasoned and not well prepared. Maybe it's because it was later in the afternoon and after the lunch rush, but the food was kind of disappointing.

Impressive! Very good tacos I recommend falafel, oyster, fish, and duck. Drinks are good too. Excellent vibe and staff!

Keenan was quick to conversation and liven the experience, the man is a well oiled machine. Make sure to find him Tuesday-Saturday for best experience. Thanks. Find the long blonde hat bartender to make you a signature drink too, you won’t regret it. Sorry I forget his name. Go for the land, sea, air combination of tacos. Ribeye, Duck, and Tuna. Plantains and Street Corn are a go to, and the sauce slaps.

Because I liked their foods very much at Stamford location , I ordered a few bowls and tacos yesterday for takeout at this location and it’s not acceptable! First my fish taco had bones ! Luckily I spotted it before my second bite. Secondly my son’s pork belly bowl had a metal string inside! Again my son was luckily enough to find it before swallowing! See photos attached. Imagine the worst possible scenario if we were hungry and ate foods too fast without careful checking. We could both end in the ICU.

This place is pretty dam good! We had the, -Street corn -tacos, seared chorizo & Baja fish -Half chicken -Pork belly bowl Everything was really good. Good service Nice atmosphere Clean restaurant I like how you can order rite from your mobile phone.

Great spot by the water in Westport. Vibes and atmosphere are great. Mix of younger and older people. The service was great, though our food did take a while to get out (we came on a Sunday afternoon). Moreover, it's a bit pricy for what it is and the tacos were smaller than I would have thought. The best ones were for sure the baja (fried) fish, the cauliflower, and the fried oyster. The sesame ribs were a bit flat and I don't even remember the tuna one. Overall, next time I would book ahead to get a table outside by the water, but inside is great too.

The food is okay. The big draw to this place is that you can order through your phone and food and drinks come out as they are made. You can pay and leave at your convenience as we have done many times in the west Hartford location. Unfortunately, the system didn't work for our table and the servers didn't understand how to make it work. It resulted in us ordering through the paper menu. The servers were not interested in our table since all of the tips are shared. The drinks took FOREVER to come out. The food came out first. Then had to wait for a while to order again. Certain servers could take food orders but others said that they would get a server for us. Overall, a God Aweful experience.

Japanese restaurant
Restaurant
Kawa Ni is a Japanese restaurant in Westport that offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere to enjoy inventive Japanese and Pan-Asian dishes. The establishment is known for its extensive selection of sake and cocktails, making it a popular spot for both food and drinks. While it's often described as a Japanese pub, Kawa Ni also stands out for its unique Asian cuisine offerings. Customers praise the attentive staff who are knowledgeable about the menu and can recommend dishes or drinks based on individual preferences.
Delicious! Fun take on japanese food with some other Asian influences. Got the crab Rangoon, confit ribs, chicken wings, scallop nigiri, and trout mazemen. All were yummy.

Kawa Ni in Westport delivered on its inventive and creative Japanese cuisine. We started off with the Kani salad, chicken karrage, and crab dumplings. The salad was beautifully balanced with mango and a hint of mint. The chicken was tender and yet crispy on the outside and the crab dumplings were light flavorful and had the perfect delicate balance of crab in a crispy light fried wrapper. The Szechuan dumplings with shrimp were a hit - spicy and flavorful, delicate in texture. The salmon temaki was a unique experience with everything seasoning. It was definitely the highlight of our meal. Highly recommend you make a ressie and check this place out!

The menu is very interesting. The chef has a lot of ideas and uses various ingredients. But generally the seasoning is too strong and not balanced well. It is too sweet and too salty. The duck on the noodles are quite stinky…

I have ordered 90% of the menu and have never once been disappointed. I would consider this to be one of the best craft Asian restaurants in Westport. The staff and chefs know the food and drinks to easily match your preferred taste at and the bartender will either whip up a drink or provide a tasting of saki so you do not order something you don't want to enjoy. I personally order 4 apps for my entire meal (2 for appetizer, 2 for entree) as I have serious fomo if I only order an 1 entree. Everything is so good. The atmosphere is amazing as well. Make sure to visit in the warmer months when the rooftop overlooking the river is open!

Restaurant is located in Lo Hi, on a corner spot. If you are looking for it you can’t miss it! It has patio lights outside with a single walkway with black railings. If you are planning to come to dinner here I advise you to arrive 30 minutes earlier to find parking! It can get packed! As per usual with going anywhere in lohi. This restaurant has a good atmosphere and vibe. Perfect for date nights. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My favorite was the beef temaki. Crispy Spicy Tuna was good, salmon temaki was really good too! We also got the kani salad it was good but after a few bites it got over powering due just too much schriracha mayo drenched in. Den den lamb noodles were okay not the best. Don’t recommended that. Their truffle butter edamame had an interesting taste. I am not too sure what I think about it good or bad. Doesn’t taste like truffle but it’s one of those type of snacks you just keep eating. So maybe a mix feeling towards it? It just tastes like salt with butter. The dessert was good! The matcha tiramisu! I highly recommend it. Also keep in mind they do auto grat 20% even if it’s a two top! Nothing wrong with that either! You should always tip at least 20% to your server or above!

Easily my new favorite restaurant. Food was delicious, cocktails were great and the service was fantastic. The only thing I didn’t like was our table. It was up against the wall and next to host stand and gets extremely cold. But as soon as I got the food I could care less about the table. Highly recommend this place.

No doubt I’ll be back! Kawa Ni was the perfect lunch spot for a refreshingly delicious bite. The salmon temaki couldn’t be any fresher. Their take on crab ragoons left me speechless and I wished I had ordered them too! My main course was the Dan Dan noodles and I couldn’t believe how delicious the lamb was. This is will my spot any and every time I’m in the area.

My wife and I are foodies. For the past five years, this is our favorite restaurant in Connecticut, worth every penny. The tables may be small and crowded and the wine selection is very limited, but flavors are amazing, as is the variety of unexpected choices. We're hooked on some dishes, but I encourage you to explore the entire menu. You won't be disappointed.

Really good food and good vibe. I had the pork and garlic ramen and the seasoning is just perfect, you can taste all ingredients. Size is fair. A little bit pricey though. Bao was good too but they are quite small for the price. Staff is super kind and place gets busy all the time so I strongly suggest to make a reservation beforehand. Definitely worth visiting.

This is a great restaurant - great food, great service. And the atmosphere is great - lively and young - but, I'm an old guy and it is noisier and a little darker than I like! Give it a try and you'll like the exotic dishes!

Food: crazy beautiful recipes/designs, reading the menu is a real treat. Eating: wow ok some of these flavors and experiences are unexpected! Overall delicious. Let me emphasize high quality food and ingredients. Expect strong flavors! I ordered the Kim Chi Carbonara and I loved it. Others thought it was way too complex and dense. HA. Drinks: I ordered a cocktail - it was done exactly to my specification TWICE. Excellent bar, excellent bar tenders. and the bar setup itself is very very nice. SERVICE: 1000% here - why : we didn't have one waiter or waitress - many people came to our table and they all were familiar with what we had on the table and asked about our needs, they all knew every menu item enough to discuss it if questioned, but above all the staff seemed happy to be there and serving us, what an UNUSUAL experience in this day and age ATMOSPHERE: really nice and laid back, house is full everyone talking at full volume no pretenses, lovely, we made immediate friends with our neighboring table as we were first-timers and they were old-timers.. Will be returning here for sure to test every menu item

Food is not Japanese. It’s an interpretation of Japanese cuisine based on a short holiday. The flavors pack initial intrigue but lack depth and authenticity. Sometimes the flavors are too cross cultured. Cultural appropriation that seems to be standard and acceptable in this area. Won’t see many Japanese, if any, at this establishment. Saving grace is solid crafted drinks, fun atmosphere, and attentive service.

Restaurant
The Cottage is a charming eatery that offers seasonal American dishes and creative cocktails in an elegant setting. It comes highly recommended to step out of your comfort zone and explore their diverse menu. The quality of the food is exceptional, with each bite carefully crafted using fresh ingredients. The staff takes pride in their work, creating a welcoming atmosphere for diners. With a variety of dishes to choose from, it's worth visiting multiple times to savor everything on offer.
I can’t encourage you enough to come here and try something outside your comfort zone. The food is second to none. Every bite has been meticulously thought through. Great fresh ingredients and a staff that truly enjoys working there. Would come here over and over again just to try everything on the menu. You won’t be disappointed. The octopus and braised pork belly is TO DIE FOR.

The Cottage has quickly become one of our new favorite restaurants in Fairfield county! We had a cozy date night here enjoying our seasonal dishes! We loved the green goddess dressing and brioche croutons on our “Cottage Salad”. The wagyu brisket bao buns were also a highlight, and it was our first time trying squid ink aioli, which really exceeded our expectations! My fiancé ordered the Berkshire pork tenderloin, which was cooked perfectly and even came with a knödel (similar to matzo balls), which we thought was a great pairing! Their hand-cut tagliatelle was exceptional with lamb, labne, and a touch of mint. Desserts were equally as amazing as the rest of the meal! The broken meyer lemon tart was topped with a thick layer of meringue, and the devil’s food cake was topped with a bourbon caramel and paired with espresso mascarpone. The cocktails hit the mark as well, and I appreciated that they had a section for low/no alcohol drinks! Our experience at The Cottage was definitely memorable, and we highly recommend adding them to your list of restaurants to try in Fairfield county!

Flavor profiles are out of this world. Each dish is like the most pleasant smack in the mouth! I love the coziness and romance of this place too.The staff is kind and attentive and it's really just an incredible find. If you can get a reservation, try it. You're gonna love it👌

I loved the great customer service and the calm, simple, clean and "cottage-like" atmosphere. The food was creatively placed on every plate and was delicious! We celebrated my brother's 60th birthday and we all enjoyed it. It's a little difficult to find because it's not on the main drag. You have to go behind a parking lot and make a few turns - GPS was wrong. It's a small, lovely place with charm- a little gem - will return!

We had dinner here last week to celebrate my wife’s birthday and were both extremely impressed with the dining experience. Excellent service, delicious, perfectly prepared and beautifully presented food dishes. The bottled wine list is expensive but has a very nice selection. The atmosphere is perfect and our server was delightful. We can highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.

The food was absolutely exquisite. For both dinner and dessert I ordered something I wouldn't usually choose. Both were at the recommendation of our waiter whose suggestions were absolutely on point! The service was attentive without being intrusive. While the layout of the inside is a little segmented, it also means that the noise level is low. The tables are a bit close together yet we could still have a conversation at our table without feeling like everyone was overhearing us. It was a great evening!

Every meal I’ve had here has been incredible— a true fine dining experience in an unpretentious, cozy space. Staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is simply amazing. Great for a romantic meal, or for a special occasion.

Service: impeccable. Food: Completely hit or miss. We’ve been here twice and have given it a well rounded shot. ~30% of the menu has an Asian influence, which is not the chef’s strong suit. Overall, if The Cottage stuck to their America roots, the meals would be a lot more successful. There were some very high points (see below), but overall I will not be returning. Individual dish notes below. Amazing dishes/drinks: deviled eggs, squash agnolotti, spicy pear drink, sticky toffee pudding Good dishes: fois gras, crab toast, chocolate pot de crème Mediocre dishes (Asian influence): spicy squid and broccoli (squid two ways, both overcooked), Maine halibut (very overcooked, vague curry flavoring), duck fried rice (duck overcooked and overall not great). Mediocre dishes (other): shaved radish toast, dulce de leche cake (reminiscent of something from The Cheesecake Factory)

Food was delicious and very polite and friendly staff. Its a small cozy place with a very relaxing ambience. Great for date nights. Probably not the best place to bring kids or large parties of 6 or more. Making a reservation in advance is recommended.

Great service, very accommodating staff. Interesting food choices on their brunch menu. Visually stunning plating but some items could use some work in balancing flavors and/or adding seasoning.

Capuli Restaurant is a fantastic option for vegetarians seeking unique and diverse Mediterranean cuisine in Westport. It offers an array of mouthwatering dishes that go beyond the usual quinoa burgers and salads. With the option to order takeout, it's perfect for those who prefer to eat on the go. The restaurant boasts stunning decor and creates a warm and inviting atmosphere for its guests.
On the way from NYC to Boston, heavy traffic so we got off from road to have dinner first. Found this place by accident, it’s a hidden gem. Andrea is a lovely host and they have great food! Wall deco are from young artists near by.

I would like to start by saying it is a cute convenient space so 5 stars for atmosphere and service. It is right by Main street— so walk to Main street….Amazing! However, the food was really poor quality. Fries were soggy and undercooked and just low budget tasting. Salmon sandwich was put on burned charred roll. The cheeseburger was rare, despite asking for it to be cooked medium. Overall beneath random diner quality food. I am sad to say. I would not come back due to quality. Parking is tough.

We loved the heart and spirit of this restaurant. Excellent food, and Andrea who owns the restaurant with her husband (who is the chef) - is an absolute delight. They moved from California to open it, during the pandemic - and the cuisine is influenced by CA plus Mediterranean. Highly recommend!

LOVE IT! Super cute and cozy place. Delicious and flavorful food. The shrimp and steak on the skewers, the Mediterranean Bowl, the pasta and shrimp/ spinach and the California burger were all super fresh and yummy. The desserts were super tasty especially the chocolate mousse and the red velvet. The waiter was super attentive and incredibly kind. Will definitely be back very soon and highly recommend!

So cute! Saw so many couples and small parties enjoying their drinks and meals. Although an intimate venue, it was not loud at all! The ambiance is very nice and my girlfriend and I enjoyed meeting up and enjoying delicious food. We loved our drinks, entrees (lobster ravioli and Mediterranean Bowl with salmon, and the limoncello cake was DECADENT. Make a reservation to visit soon! You will enjoy it.

Locally owned , delicious food , amazing staff . The chef is the owner and his wife is the hostess. Both are as nice as they can be and the food is amazing. We have had different dishes every time and each our surpasses the last. Favorites are the artichoke dip, swordfish, Cajun shrimp and anything in their pasta menu. Also the berry crisp is delicious- not too sweet as most are. This is a wonderful addition to westports restaurant scene

A really good find in the area! Our waiter was polite, knowledgeable, and attentive, and the ambiance was calm. We had the fried calamari, which was crispy af and fresh; the tagliatelle with pesto, the tagliatelle is made fresh daily and it really showed; and the Mediterranean bowl, which was a really well balanced salad/bowl hybrid. I'd recommend Capuli, no doubt.

I saw this restaurant come up on Uber eats and decided to order to take advantage of a special they were running. The food was delivered very quickly which would mean the restaurant service was on point. I ordered the the chicken Alfredo and it was very tasty and good portions. I look forward to dining in one day.

As soon as I walked in I could smell how delicious the food was. It is a small, intimate dining space. Perfect for a romantic dinner date but I did see families there with small kids. The mixed drinks were delicious and very well made. The chimichurri sauce on the steak appetizer was next level. The clam and orichette entree had and incredible flavor profile and I appreciated the bright finish of fresh lemon. The broccoli Rabe was cooked correctly and did not overpower the dish. My husband's steak was cooked perfectly. The red velvet cake was phenomenal, light and fluffy. We will definitely be back here again.

Very accommodating. We did not have a reservation, and the restaurant was full. They told us to wait 10 minutes and we will be seated. I think 5 minutes may have passed, and they had a table for us. Everyone is so nice and welcoming, the food is delicious! Very cozy. Nice atmosphere.
