Brickside Brewery is a charming local hangout located in Copper Harbor, Northern Michigan. It is the first and only microbrewery in Copper Harbor, offering handcrafted beers infused with the fun and beauty of the surrounding area. The brewery provides a relaxed atmosphere where visitors can enjoy a variety of brews including stout and porters. Additionally, there's a food truck serving delicious pizza, pitas, and pretzels right alongside the building.
Such a nice little brewery. Good selection. Nice drinking room. Great stop after mountain biking all day.

Absolutely must visit when going to Copper Harbor. Great conversation with other patrons and the owners. The beer was unique and diverse. Enjoy your time here and love the up north with a good brew!

We stopped in while in the area. Great brewery. Very cool stickers and patches everywhere. Staff was very nice. Had live music and the beer was good. Worth a stop if you find yourself in the area.

Nice little spot on the main drag. Inside was packed due to the warm weather and the patio has no shade. Patio umbrellas would make it a 5star stop. Its a dive bar, but with great homemade beer.

Awesome atmosphere. Great brews. Nice people and conversation. The one bartender has the best music playlist I’ve ever heard.
Scott Ochodnicky — Google review
The beer was very good. They had 4 on tap the day we went. Owners were nice to chat with.

This is my go to place in Copper Harbor with great beer and local vibe. They also have a new food truck parked next door. I tried the pulled pork enchilada tacos, delicious!

This is a fantastic brewery! It's in a awesome town and the beer here is delicious. We stop in when we are in town which is about once a year and it never ever disappoints. Have met the owner in a few occasions and he is extremely down to earth and fun to talk with. This is a highly highly recommend if your ever in Copper Harbor. Just keep an eye out on their hours which do change from time to time. Great place!!!!

Come up as mountain bikers.. leave as family. The hospitality is unmatched. We have a once a year tradition to mountain bike in Copper Harbor. The Brickside has alway been home base. We recognize a musician from last year.. said “hey we recognize you”.. next thing you know he is playing his guitar for the entire place! It was an awesome experience that we will never forget!! I just kept telling myself.. only in Copper Harbor! This is just one of many great nights spent in Brickside.. all seems to trump the next! Come support this local business.

During my week long stay in Copper Harbor, I visited Brickside Brewery several times. The place is small but, the people are super friendly and the brews were tasty too. I am not much of a drinker, don’t get me wrong, I had a few but, the real reason I enjoyed the place was for the people I met and the conversations I had; the place was full friends I hadn’t met yet! I highly recommend stopping in if you’re in Copper Harbor, you will not regret it and you likely make a friend or two. -Nicholas K. (Tallahassee FL)

The beer is ok. I found a few I liked but nothing out of this world. The bar tenders are super nice. The outside patio is a nice place to hang out on a warm day.
Adam Driscoll — Google review
Ordered a beer for myself and a beer for my wife. Both were just a hair below lukewarm and tasted pretty bad. Also the whole inside smells pretty heavily of stale beer - but like in a college basement way, not a cool brewery way

Amazing find on our day out exploring. Great selection of tasty beer. The food truck outside offers delicious fish tacos too!

Lena, Jake and Fisher (our guides for sea kayaking) were excellent! As a large family these types of little adventures can sometimes be challenging as there are such a variety of favorite things to do. These 3 were very diligent in making sure everyone understood everything from how to paddle to what to do if you tip over (a very rare occurrence). We then paddled as part of a large group for nearly 2 hours. They engaged with everyone and managed the variety of skill levels in a professional but fun way while also sharing some information about the area. We all would highly recommend Lena, Jake, Fisher and Keweenaw Adventure Company.

Do the sunset kayaking tour! You won't regret it; Birch and Isaac were two of the best tour guides ever. They were patient, kind, HILARIOUS, and always put our safety first. Watching the sun set at Michigan's northernmost point was truly spectacular and breathtaking. Do not miss out on this opportunity.

Thank you Eli for a wonderful kayaking tour this past Saturday (August 28th, 2021? Who knows....days get lost on vacations.) This was sooo much fun. I can't recommend you and your team enough. As a person who grew up on the water, but yet a kayaking novice on a big lake (and for my husband who isn't a water person at all), your instructions and attention to detail made both of us (especially him), extremely comfortable. AND...your stand up comedy routine (or should I say "sit down " routine) wasn't half bad either, LOL. Beautiful excursion....thank you again!

My boyfriend and I did the sunset paddle on Thursday. The weather was perfect and the views were breathtaking! Eli and Lynn, our guides, were thorough with safety and instruction beforehand and extremely informative during the paddle. Lynn gave us some great insight into the fun local things to do while in town as well. Both my boyfriend and I agreed that the sunset we were able to see on Lake Superior was the #1 best sunset we've ever seen! This company and the sunset tour specific is a must do while in Copper Harbor!

What a great guide service! I called on a Tuesday, relatively impromptu, and they fit me in as a solo on Thursday. We had Chris as a guide, ended up doing the 1/2 day trip down to Bete Gris. First class guide work, 4+ hours on the water with Chris and pleasant conversation. The shop is well-appointed, and they had our party outfitted quickly and down to launch point. Highly recommend if you make it to Copper Harbor!

Did the Bete Grise tour with guides Len and Zeke. Both were very patient and professional. Had a wonderful time. Highly recommended.

Booked the Agate Harbor kayak tour and it did not disappoint!!! The whole experience was great, from ease of reservation, getting outfitted with our equipment, and making sure everyone was comfortable and informed before we launched. And our guide Lena was amazing - super knowledgeable, extremely professional, patient and kind, and lots of fun! Would highly recommend and will definitely book again next time we’re here!

We took the sea kayaking tour (evening, so we could catch the sunset). It was AMAZING. The entire staff was so helpful and accommodating to everyone's needs and abilities. This was far and away the group's favorite activity from our vacation. Everyone is still raving about it!

A must stop for all things fun! We did the 2.5 hour kayak tour, with Bonesy and Fisher! They were both very fun and knowledgeable on kayaking and the area! Fisher recommended Fitzgerald’s Hotel & Restaurant (in Eagle River) for dinner - The food was absolutely delicious! Thanks for the fun, guys!

We had such a great time with our family in copper harbor, and KAC made it happen! We did a kayak tour and rented mountain bikes to enjoy the amazing trail system. The trails are well marked and the staff was super helpful in choosing trails for our experience level. The shuttle was an excellent feature to maximize enjoyment. Even our 9-year-old was able to go down the flow, and our 7-year-old enjoyed the fanny hooe trail! We did a two and a half hour guided sea kayak tour and got to experience some rougher water outside the harbor which was definitely a highlight. Lily, Tyler, and Jake were excellent guides and Raymond (the owner) was so helpful making sure we had everything we needed. We can't wait to go again!

This was my first time mountain biking, and thanks to our phenomenal guide Jake, I went from never riding a mountain bike before to conquering a few green and blue trails in a couple hours. Signing up for a guided excursion was super easy at the front desk, and the fittings for our bikes were very comfortable and accommodating. We had plenty of time to practice on some easy trails near the shop, then the shuttle was perfect for our trip to more challenging beginner trails. It was the perfect balance of instruction and fun. Already planning our next trip back to bike some more and kayak Isle Royale!!

Beautiful paddle around the harbor and shoreline. Megan did a fantastic job, and while we were out, Mike fixed my bike. Couldn't ask for better.

Beautiful and scenic drive, easy to get to in a vehicle. I highly recommend to the average traveler to check out, but if you have kids, keep them close or have a close watch over them as there are ledges and little to stop you from going over it.

Beautiful 360 degree views! Lake Superior, Lake Fanny Hooe, Lake Medora, and Lake Bailey are all visible from the top lookout point. There is something for everyone! Easy to access via vehicle. Awesome mountain biking trails. A must-see during fall colors!
Kaylee L — Google review
Amazing drive, with multiple stops along the way. Make sure to park at the Copper Harbor lookout point, as well as the very top. Be careful on the drive- narrow roads with some crazy drivers occasionally. An added bonus- there’s full phone service at the top! Currently Copper Harbor has virtually zero phone service so to find it on top of a dang mountain was quite a surprise. Highly recommend coming here both in the middle of the day and in the evening for sunset.

Brockway Mountain Lookout exceeded all my expectations! The panoramic views from the lookout were absolutely breathtaking, providing a mesmerizing vista of the surrounding landscapes. I was captivated by the stunning beauty of Lake Superior, the dense forests, and the charming towns nestled below. The lookout itself was well-maintained, offering a comfortable spot to take in the awe-inspiring scenery. It's definitely a must-visit destination for nature lovers and photographers. Don't miss the opportunity to experience the magnificent views and immerse yourself in the natural splendor at Brockway Mountain Lookout!

Beautiful views! Fund drive up in a Van. Make sure you have plenty of horse power to get up there. The way down is easy but again make sure you have good breaks. It's worth the drive! Enjoy!

Woah, what a great view! Not too far off of M26. Awesome view of Copper Harbor.

Great overlook! Just be careful going up and down as the road is windy and steep.

Awesome lookout point over Copper Harbor. Beautiful panoramic views of Lake Superior and the surrounding area. Little winding round up to the lookout, but easy to access. Worth the trip for the stunning view.

Beautiful views of Lake Superior including Isle Royale on a clear day, lakers (big ships) up bound and down bound, mountains, lakes, Eagle Harbor. Can sit for hours. Gift shop is no more.

Great view overlooking Copper Harbor. A nice deck with multiple levels. Parking a little haphazard but drivers work it out.
John Crankshaw — Google review
Almost missed the road, great view tho

Our day was blustery, overcast and it was stunning even with those challenges. Based on my pictures you can see the brillant colors and Lake Superior all in the same spot. The Mountain Bike Trails exceeded 100 miles and the ranged all difficulty levels. The drive up is gorgeous and the information about the area on the top left me in awe of the area even more.

Waterfalls
Simple little wooded area with small falls and a nice, relaxing trail. Recommended short stop while heading into or outta Copper Harbor.
Into the Unkown — Google review
Nice stop when visiting Copper Harbor (which I would recommend). The falls are close to the road with a short, but considerably down hill, trail to the overlook. The falls were flowing beautifully when we visited. Be aware that the view from the lookout is partially obstructed by the forest. If small kids are traveling with you, be careful. Don’t let them run ahead. The overlook is small and partially unprotected.
Cheri Zettel — Google review
Awesome little hike off the side of the road. If you start the hike at the sign and head down to the overlook, you can have a beautiful site of the falls. If you're more adventurous, then take the path to the right of the overlook, and you can walk up to and over the falls. There is some erosion, so be careful as you cross. If you continue across the falls, there is a path that you can take to follow the creek and eventually get down to the creek bed and check out the area. It has a very fantasy world feeling going on, so I highly recommend it to those of you who like that. Now, there was a path to the left of the overlook, but I did not go down that way. I did see little children down there at the base of the falls, so I assume that the left path may have been the easier way down, but move at your own pace and discretion. Otherwise, a nice fun and short path.
Alberto Flores — Google review
The falls were pretty but not the best viewing points ( at least from what I found). Also could be dangerous for small children or older folk.
Donnamae Greenland — Google review
Love it! Beautiful views and fun hiking trails surround Maganese Falls. We saw lots of fish and even a snapping turtle. Well worth the drive.
Benjamin Urness — Google review
One of closest falls to Copper Harbor, WI. Pull off alongside road. Fairly easy access to viewing area. Would recommend hiking poles for those not sure footed. Very scenic when we were last there. Highly recommend...less than 5 mins drive from downtown.
Jim Kreilich — Google review
Beautiful waterfall just off the side of the road. Walk up past the waterfall & there are more smaller ones.
Bill Jones — Google review
The falls are in a location where there isn't nearby parking unless you pull off to the side of a narrow road. When you do get out you cannot really see them from the platform. It's blocked by trees. But you can see them and get a glimpse behind the rustling leaves. I am sure if you were to hike a bit down you would see them.
Roberta Peek — Google review
Great waterfall! Easy access to it. Had my dog with me no issues ☺️
Jamie Daugherty — Google review
Pretty waterfall just off the side of the road. There is a sign for the falls, but if you follow that main trail you don’t get a very good look at the falls. There’s a small path off to the right of the main trail that you can follow to get a better look. Recommended for anyone since it’s a short “hike”!
Kenzie Ski — Google review
Manganese Falls is a series of small torrents dropping Manganese Creek down to Lake Fanny Hope’s level (I think). The access right by the sign isn’t very good as the foliage blocks most of the view. A few steps upstream along the road and you’ll find a better, but not a good view.
John Crankshaw — Google review
It's an awesome waterfall to stop and check out. It cuts right into the rocks and falls down into a lagoon like area. Not to hard to get to some spots, but climbing up and down is necessary. Some steep ledges to maneuver around as well.
Andie Moore — Google review
Right of the side of Manganese Road out of Copper Harbor, it's a decent waterfall, though I would recommend visiting when there's a higher waterflow.
Somebody Person — Google review
Hike down is very short, but steep. There is a railing and sinage indicating steep cliff/ drop off. The falls are beautiful, but can be difficult to see in summer due to the trees and foliage. I would recommend that if you want good photography options to visit is spring or fall when the foliage is less obtrusive to the view of the waterfall.
Nicole Forbes — Google review
You need to search around towards the right of the path for some smaller unbeaten paths to the falls. Fun to explore but not a huge waterfall.
