Sprouts Farmers Market

Mentioned on
Grocery store
Fresh food market
Sprouts Farmers Market is a specialty grocery chain that offers a variety of organic and natural food options, including their own brand products. The store is well-stocked with fresh produce, bread, bakery items, and ready-to-eat meals that are appealing to customers. The staff members are friendly and helpful while the store maintains cleanliness. While some items may not always be available such as bacon in sandwich orders, Sprouts Farmers Market provides a wonderful shopping experience for customers in the Green Valley community.
Just went in there to get molasses and wheat germ and wasn't sure where to find it, had 2 employees help us find it right away. Was very impressed with the customer service. It was a young lady and a young man, they both deserve a raise!

Something has gone terribly wrong at my local Sprouts. The rotisserie chickens are not being washed before putting on the cooker. You can taste the waste water in the meat and I have made sure of this because a week apart I purchased one and got just as sick as I did the prior week. I am not a person to get sick from eating or just sick period, but for the 2nd time the chickens here has made me extremely sick. After cutting off a leg and eating half of it, I put the chicken in the oven to further cook it, but the bad taste was still there and it still made me sick. I had only the meat with some tea. Nothing else. Those chickens should washed extremely well and kept cool/cold before washing and until it’s time to cook them. The area should also be sanitized along with any utensils or garments used. This is my favorite store, but being sick for food poisoning is painful.

I love the custom made sandwiches in the deli. They are only 4.99 to 5.99! LeighAnne makes the best sammies.

I absolutely love the store. I remember the clamor from the community when Sprouts was going to be built and not a Trader Joe’s. I couldn’t be happier that it turned out to be Sprouts. The best word I can use to describe it is “quality.“ There’s always someone to help you answer questions or help you find something. There are a lot of lower sodium options, too. The produce is by far the best and freshest of all the other local grocery stores. The meat is of the highest quality. Just like Fry’s, they offer Boar’s Head in their deli case. They also make fresh sandwiches to order. I haven’t been to a place like subway for a sandwich since this Sprouts Farmers Market opened. One last thing I would like to point out. The customers are respectful of each other. It is rare to see any customer not wearing a mask during this continuing pandemic. I find that comforting.

I really wanted to like Sprouts, but, honestly customer service is lacking. We went in person to order Thanksgiving dinner Because we had never done it before and we wanted to talk to someone before we ordered. They shut us down. They told us "you have to go on-line" we can't help you. So we went on-line. Went through the ordering process and at checkout there was an error. I sent an email and they said " someone will contact you in a day or two"..no one ever contacted us. I still get all their ads all the time so clearly they know how to reach me..is Sprouts in the ad business? Or providing something of value to their customers?..luckily in our case Fry's made it easy..even took time to talk to us in person before we placed our order.

I love this specific Sprouts store in Green Valley, AZ. Everyone is so kind and helpful when they really don’t need to be. There was a lady who used to work at self checkout and she made me look forward to checking out just because she was so nice and helpful. Going to this store is like a treat for me and I genuinely enjoy my time in there. Well done, y’all!

I'm a big fan. Some really good pre-made meals there. Good selection at the meat counter the cheese cooler also. Staff was friendly and check out quick.

I went to get Turkey breast meal on Christmas eve. The deli forgot my rolls so I called. It was raining buckets and I just didn’t want to drive back. Within 20 minutes they delivered the rolls to my home. Wow! In this day and age we get terrible customer service so I want to thank them and let everyone know what great workers they employ! Great service, great store!
Tricia L — Google review
I stop for a quick lunch, the food station was alone, then some lady come to attend. 1- she needs to speak PERFECT ENGLISH no accents 2- she takes 11 min just for cut a weight ham and others 3- they take the time to discuss something about the work, with other coworker If this store have a FASTFOOD station, need to understand the word FAST, and need to have a real CUSTOMER-SERVICE, no a miss teacher or old thinking way. Really BAD SERVICE, SLOW SERVICE & LOW ETHICAL STANDARDS.

I couldn't find a few items and an employee walked me to the items and took extra time with me. Wish I could remember her name for a special shout out. I do remember she was from Atlanta, Georgia. Southern hospitality. Otherwise Sprouts is a bi-monthly trip from the Sierra Vista area for my grass fed beef and pasture raised chicken. Thank you. 😊

Ok, I just got done reading all the 123 star reviews. I am looking for a store that will have fair prices, variety, friendliness. So I'm going to go to this store in the near future. I give it five stars now. I will return and let you know what type of store it really is. I hear a lot about customer service dignity and professionalism. Let's see what it really has done for management and administrative change to accommodate the customer and the products they sell talk to you later
Elizabeth Montes — Google review
I've loved coming here for many years. The produce is the best in the area. Prices are competitive and the fresh meatloaf is out of this world.
Trisha Stuart — Google review
They have a great bulk section. I get steel cut oats here as well as several kinds of nuts
Reg Swensen — Google review
Electric carts available, but sometimes a tight fit thru aisles. Store staff will help move product stands (or replace items accidentally knocked off...) if needed.

On a return visit to Green Valley, I was pleasantly surprised to find a Sprouts! The produce, bread and bakery items looked fresh and well-stocked, the store was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. There were also ready to eat meals, that just had to be heated, that looked quite enticing. The only thing holding me back from giving five stars was the fact that I ordered a specialty sandwich that included turkey, avacado and bacon and they didn't have any bacon! Other than that small disappointment, I quite enjoyed my outting to Sprouts. Sprouts is a wonderful addition to the Green Valley community 💙

Was looking for a instant coffee substitute and found Roma beverage. Only two left in stock so I purchased both. Cons: No bags are given out. You need to purchase bags for $,10 each.

Historic Canoa Ranch is a favorite spot for nature enthusiasts in Green Valley. The well-maintained DeAnza trail provides easy access to the beautiful lake and its diverse wildlife, including deer and coyotes. Visitors can enjoy birdwatching, picnicking, and taking in the picturesque mountain views reflected in the serene lake. While nearby noise from I-19 may be a drawback for some, it's generally overlooked once visitors become accustomed to it.
Historic Canoa Ranch is an awesome place. The 2-acre pond is absolutely beautiful and the adjoining cienega attracts many species of birds. In the Fall, Winter, and Spring, there are numerous waterfowl on the pond.

This is a really beautiful location with a lot of interesting history. They’re in the process of getting it all fixed up and often have special events there too. It’s a really quiet and pretty place to spend a few hours. Ask for a tour if you really want the full experience. The staff and stewards are super friendly.
T. Mize — Google review
A wonderfully historic place preserved by a forward thinking Pima county. Old buildings have been restored to their former glory with a few insides being accessible. Highly recommend taking one of the guided tours. The ranch has a long and interesting history and should not be missed when visiting Green Valley. The history of the Anza trail is also highlighted at the ranch. A beautiful pond area and walking trail make this place even more special. Make sure you walk out to the east and read the signs about the Anza expedition which spent its first night here. An amazing place.

Love the lake here. It's very scenic and always see birds and ducks.
Judith Ballard — Google review
Since moving to Green Valley from the Pacific Northwest, I have been coming here almost daily at dawn. It is one of my favorite places to experience nature and solitude. The staff here and Pima County in general, do an excellent job with upkeep, and the easy access to the DeAnza trail is perfect. In addition to all the birds at the lake itself, on the well maintained trail, we have encountered a large herd of deer, heard coyotes(and seen them cross in front of us) and other wildlife too numerous to count.
Char Seawell — Google review
I highly recommend taking a 30 minute too one hour walk around this little diamond in the rough! Such a beautiful lake and atmosphere at this natural park and bird sanctuary. People come from all around to catch a few of the bird breeds that flock through this area during migrations patterns in the fall and spring alike.
Michael Hufstedler — Google review
We went for the Saturday morning walking tour and really enjoyed it. The Docent was excellent. Lots of history well presented. They are working on more of the buildings so I look forward to seeing more as it progresses.
Denise M — Google review
Went to see an exhibition of quilts. Really enjoyed the place. There were many more quilts than I expected. They were in most of the buildings. I also saw some of the buildings that were still showing the history of the ranch. It's a very interesting way to spend a few hours and immerse yourself in the ways our ancestors lived.
Karen Krawczyk — Google review
This is a beautiful place to stretch the legs, walk the dogs, have a picnic, bird watch, and enjoy the mountain views reflected in the pretty lake. Only 4 stars due to the constant noise from the nearby I-19, but that is how most people get here to enjoy it. It can be ignored after getting use to it.

I love CPAC, a small intimate theater with liquid refreshments available prior to shows and during intermission. Decently priced tickets, plenty of parking. Lots of musical acts and some community theater.
Becky Lupo — Google review
Nice small autotorium. Seats are small, almost like they were built for children. The shows I've seen have been good
Barry English — Google review
3+1/2 stars. We went for a concert. They blocked off quite a few seats to maintain social distancing. Not sure why. We all have our vaccinations. The seating is kind of like bleachers but with individual seats. There is no concession, not even a vending machine. I would go again.

Canoa Ranch Golf Club

Mentioned on
Golf club
Outdoor Activities
Canoa Ranch Golf Club offers a challenging course layout with well-maintained greens that provide a true roll. However, the fairways may be patchy and uneven due to the summer heat. The bunkers are criticized for their hard pan desert-like texture with small rocks, prompting suggestions for alternative landscaping. On a positive note, the club offers drink specials and features Grill On The Green as an improved dining option compared to Coyote Grill, providing a pleasant outdoor patio experience when weather permits.
What a beautiful setting for a drink or dinner or event with many! The food I had at a event with over 30 was delicious, the beef perfect- everyone's was! The salad was limp and should have been prepared closer to serving. But that was the only negative for dinner. Finding the entrance to the restaurant and banquet room needs better directional signage. But once you find it, enjoy... The food and the views!
Marcia Fanning — Google review
Grill On The Green, much better than Coyote Grill. No 'F' bombs or multiple 'MF' bombs from the servers standing just feet away behind the screen of the kitchen like the Coyote roadhouse servers. Get a 'white Russian', NEAT, 3 fingers of Vodka-Kahlua combined, and substitute whipped cream for the fourth finger vs. them having to stir in heavy cream for a white mess at the end. Easy sipping and your wife will love it. (They always ask if we should do the cherry on top, 👎). But the menu is equal/better to Coyote Grill, and outside patio is good weather permitting.

First time playing the course. Delay due to frost but when we arrived ....total disorganization. Was told to come back later because they had no carts and didn't advise leaving our clubs at the bag drop incase someone steals them. Got a cart just before tee time but no time to get range balls. The course is an interesting layout. Good vista's, Very good fairways and tee boxes. Greens OK but lots of damage on the last few greens for some reason. The bunkers are a disaster. They aren't sand bunkers they are gravel pits. If you value your golf clubs you will drop out of every one. In fact it appears they have given up trying to groom them, grass growing, bolders the size of softballs in some of them. Worst bunkers I have encountered and that's world wide.
B willyboy — Google review
Horrible course. Starter had no idea what time people were supposed to go off. Crap gas carts, no GPS. Rough was dirt. Easily the worst course in Southern AZ. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Not worth the $75 to play…he’ll not even worth $.50.
Mike Bohlinger — Google review
Fairways and greens well maintained. Sand traps are full of rock and can potentially chip clubs. Food was also amazing
Cory Thornton (SA Baseliner) — Google review
Beautiful resort with amazing staff. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, bathrooms upgraded, and the balcony views overlooking pool area and mountains is outstanding! Cannot wait to return! 6 stars!!

This place is trash. Have played multiple times and every time the check-in is a hassle and always backed up. I'll never play here again.
Matt Parks — Google review
I'm currently a member cat canola Ranch terrible Golf course. Management is terrible no Marshalls text anywhere from 4 to 6 hours to play around they dumped everybody on the course and then no one watches them bunkers there are none they don't maintain any bunkers rocks you don't maintain any bunker
robin Mayo — Google review
6 somes on weekend! Just foolish. Does not matter that it is a tournament. 6 hour rounds are ridiculous. Views from the golf course are great. Course is interesting and fun. Greens slow for the area. Problem is it is poorly run. Would play here more often if I could play a 4 1/2 hour round
Marianne Crawford — Google review
Everything was in good shape except the bunkers to many rocks.
Eddie Moreno — Google review
The good. The layout of the course is challenging and the greens hold well and roll true. The bad, the fairways are a little patchy and uneven, this could be because of the summer heat. The "bunkers" are the worst I've ever seen. They are like hard pan desert or a mud pit with small rocks everywhere. Lose the traps and grow some thick rough instead. They have a good drink special. Buy one at regular price and get the second for what you shot.
Craig Baron — Google review
Value Golf experience in the desert, fast greens, wide fairways and tricky crossings. A Great Day golfing!!!
Zin Guy — Google review
We love the course, but they have NO CONSIDERATION FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS! Today is the 3rd time we have arrived at the course with a tee time booked well in advance only to be told there is a tournament and we are delayed by a half hour to an hour. No one ever mentions when we book (by phone at the pro shop, not online) that there is a tournament and there might be a delay. We ALWAYS show up in plenty of time for our slot, but they feel no obligation to show the same courtesy for us. When I spoke to the pro shop about this today, they were not even apologetic. A simple bit of information would have given us what we need to decide to play a different day or different course. I think this course is so greedy, they don’t want customers to have the chance to make other arrangements. It is now 45 minutes past our tee time, and we’re still not playing. If we cancel, we are charged for the round anyway. DON’T play this course without asking about this issue!

Haven Golf Course offers a fun and friendly atmosphere for golfers of all levels. The driving range provides excellent service and a functional ball machine, while fellow golfers are welcoming. The Par 3 Tortuga course is well-maintained with smaller but pristine greens, making it perfect for practicing short game or enjoying a round with the family. The challenging yet fair 9 or 18-hole course is complemented by a comfortable clubhouse featuring a good selection of beer and snacks.
Fun Sunday at the driving range with my son. Hands down best service, ball machine actually works & fellow hackers are always friendly. Was lucky enough to witness my son get some free unsolicited golf tips from a true Ol Time Gentleman. 🙏 Absolutely worth the drive out there.

Greens and fairways were pretty good. No sand in the traps is a huge pet peeve of mine. Their traps are just dirt and rocks. Layout is flat. Reminds me of a typical municipal course.
Reed Nelson — Google review
Wish I could give zero stars, I booked a tee with golf now, and accidently booked for the following day. I called golf now upon arrival as suggested by the club house staff. I revived a credit and booked for the correct day a hour later then my arrival. I asked the person in the club house if I could get out early since they had no one on the books to tee off. He seemed upset I used the app to get a cheaper rate and said no you can't tee off early. You would have to pay the full rate not through the app. I was shocked that he would rather turn away business on a slow day then let a single golfer play earlier then my booked tee time with no one on the books... Very rude and poor customer service.. Will never be back...
Michael Killian — Google review
Really enjoyed my round with my kids here. Just played front nine. Greens were in great shape as was fairways. Enjoed the doglegs and long par 5s. It is winter so Rough is short cut dormant burmuda and weeds. Bunkers were dried crusty or still puddled cause of massive rains these last few weeks. Still for this price you cannot go wrong. All of us with cart was $120. If your looking for overseeded rough and fancy draining bunkers there are plenty of $200-300 per person places around. Recommend for fun at low cost!
Jeff Zenno — Google review
Paid $40 to golf 3 hours in the rain at this course. A random golfer signed up to play with my 2 friends and I. When I asked if we could have a separate cart, a short blonde lady said in the most snarky way “if you want to give me $20”. We payed the $20, and the golfer that signed up with my friends and I took off on hole 2 to play ahead of us. Rude people. Ridiculous policy. Golf somewhere else.

Should be renamed mesquito haven. Even with repellant., they were vicious. Course was not in the best of shape. Lots of dried dirt in the fairway. Greens were ok. All-in-all don't think I would return.
Bill Harris — Google review
Played a round on the Par 3 Tortuga course and had a good time. The greens were smaller than usual but really well kept. For $20 I highly recommend practicing your short game here or taking the kids out and adjusting the Par to 4 or 5.
Edward McTigue — Google review
The fairways and greens are in great shape. The ground off the fairways is hard and compact in which the ball will bounce high and roll a long ways. Enjoyed the round.
Michael Weber — Google review
I like this golf course BUT it's hard. I mean the ground is hard. They don't water much, except possibly on the greens and maybe the center of the fairway. Everything else is dead, especially the tee boxes so when you hit your ball it RUNS! A 275 yard drive becomes 300. Good and bad right. I'll possibly play again but would like the course to soften up a bit. It's good though right, love to play regardless. I do love the framed sign over the urinal though.
GT Bird — Google review
Great place for 9 or 18 holes, course is challenging enough but fair. Clubhouse has a good bar, comfortable with a good selection of beer and snacks. Green fees are about a dollar a hole including a cart.I
Kenneth Warren — Google review
Edit 10/2023: the rental clubs cost $30 and are a completely geriatric, ragtag bunch of titleists, mostly senior flex. The grips are ancient; flaking off and heavily oxidized. They also were given to me completely filthy with no towel. The round with a cart was like $25. Make it make sense. This is the one. Ive played all the public ones out here visiting my granddads ranch and this is the best balance of quality and value. Love it.
