Great spot for a walk on the beach. Jelly fish. Shells. Tons of fun. We stopped here while waiting for family to arrive for lunch. Parking was a tad tricky just off a narrow road but it wasn’t too bad. Access to the beach was easy enough down a short trail. The beach had more life on the beach. Seaweed. Shells. You name it. We had a fun time and best of all it wasn’t nearly as crowded as cannon or seaside beaches. Worth the trip.

I live in the town of Wheeler, but I drive down to Manzanita every day to go to the ocean. It’s sand is white, the beach is long, the waves are spectacular. It is so much fun to watch the dogs are running on the beach because it’s so pristine. People in any weather come out with their chairs and they’re half dome’s to watch the waves crashing on the beach. It is truly a gem of the. North coast of Oregon. The air is clean, and when you’re done with the beach, you can walk up the street and go to one of the bistro‘s, bars, pubs. And have an amazing meal and drink. If you’re coming to spend a week or weekend, do you wanna make your reservations way in advance because it is really a popular place during the summer.

Except for being quite busy, this beach is gorgeous. Happened to be there on a weekend holiday so busy was expected. Absolutely beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Camping at Nehalem Bay Campground is a easy walk or drive to Manzanita, OR. Everything is near the beach. Sand dunes for kids to play on and in. Water is cold, but the kids go boogie boarding anyway. It can get cold at night and windy dieting the day. Reservations must be made a year ahead to ensure a spot.

Nice beach. Wasn't too crowded when I went, which was during the week, but it is one of my favs so far.

Manzanita is a Quaint little town with many shops for those souvenirs. Bakery, Mexican food, Thai food Diners and many more

I love this beach. There is parking along the beach access road. Several trails down. The beach was not too crowded. Great sunset. Also, great food choices along the road out.

On a recent trip to Portland to visit friends and family we went to this wonderful beach. Our 2 corgis were in heaven running free.

Well stocked store with a very knowledgeable staff with great prices. We went in for CBD pain relief products, and they had exactly what we needed, and also gave us excellent recommendations for additional products which we tried and loved! Highly recommend this beautiful, clean and friendly outlet for all your cannabis and CBD needs!! Right on highway 101, next to The Big Wave Restaurant as you're driving South past Manzanita.

This is the most beautiful dispensary I've ever visited. An oasis with its courtyard and a beautiful waiting area. The staff is unsurpassed as far as knowledge and desire to help clients with all of their needs. Highly recommend. Especially if visiting the coast from somewhere else.

I never write reviews but I just had to for this spot. Easily the best dispensary I've ever been to. The plants in the entrance, the service, selection, and quality of bud was unmatched. This place clearly had a ton of love put into it and it shows, do yourself a favour and check it out if you're passing through!

Fantastic owner who knows how to do business. Also a cool human on top of that. I was a little short on cash and he hooked me up with a sweet deal. This felt like buying from a good human as opposed to buying from a corporation. Much gratitude and when I need more trees I will drive a little further to get here. 10/10 don't drive past this place if you need herb.

Very very impressed with the cannabis I bought here, esp the zweet inzanity , a strain that I've since had back in Las Vegas. Anyway I smoked over 25 different strains of flower in the week and a half I was in Oregon and their herb was in the top three. Seems to be mainly organic cultivators which is always great. Pretty terpy at around 3.5% total terps. Definitely look forward to dropping in here on my next visit. Lovely cannabis for a absolutely lovely area. Magical little place on the beach. Would recommend this to anyone looking to be stunned be the sheer beauty of this place.

This was a perfect little golf course. Fun and challenging for a quick round. The shop and staff were super friendly and well stocked. The rental clubs were the only drawback - clubs were fine but the bag was so flimsy it wouldn’t stay on the cart. Aside from that, it’s a great spot!

The course is wonderful and very well maintained. Good drainage and the greens where excellent. Its a great 9-hole course to play. We will definitely be back. Thanks Jeff.

Fun course on the coast. Interesting terrain. Golfed with a high-school classmate and my wife. His wife walked the course, played mid-week, no pressure. Enjoyed talking to the pro on site.

Nine hole course with short par 3 and 4 holes. Narrow fairways and some water. It is maintained pretty well.

Short track. Only 9 holes. No carts. Fairways not properly maintained. Worth about $15. Good for locals to stretch their legs but certainly not any type of destination if your traveling through.

Wonderful course, too bad it's only 9! The walk and terrain made up for it! Destin was fantastic and had great recommendations of where else to play and where to eat locally.

Fantastic place to play. I think it’s reasonably priced. Plenty of parking, gorgeous course. And today I was visited by a small herd of elk that decided to graze on the grass. That really made my day the temperatures, cool, and clear and the people that are here are very, very nice. I think you’ll enjoy playing this course.

This review is for the open clay studio that takes place on Tuesday’s, Thursday’s, and Saturday’s. I hadn’t touched a piece of clay in 20 years. I walked into to Hoffman clay studio and was welcomed like family. For two bucks an hour I got to get my hands (and pants. And shirt. And face a little) covered in clay. Went back four more times in a two week span and received friendship, encouragement, and guidance from the coastal clay community. Next time you’re in the area, set aside a couple hours and drop in to the open clay studio. Beginner or advanced if you’re anything like me you’ll walk away smiling and humming to yourself. A creative buzz is guaranteed! Five stars.

Something was terribly wrong last night. We have been going there for at least 10 years and it is usually exceptional. The owner is a brilliant cook and her son the great front of house. Last night, not only did we go for New Year Eve but also to celebrate by son's engagement. We could not think of a better place. What a disappointment. Started with being rudely directed to our table, waiting over 20 minutes for taking our drinks order. Food took ages and then the quality was not per their usual standard. Service was frantic and unprofessional. Front of house atmosphere was not the same as usual. Ravioli was salty and steak ordered medium rare was well done. In all 10 years, we have never had such a disappointing dinner and experience. Not sure where the owner was or who was running service last night.

Five of us went in on a Thurs. evening w/no reservations. Its a small place but they were able to seat us fairly quickly. Our waiter was fantastic, as was the food and drinks! We will definitely return!

And to think, they have the gall to charge $25 PER PERSON if you show up late for a reservation or even change it. Hypocrisy? Maybe they should pay us $50 for what they did. Do yourself a favor and read the one-star reviews of this place. The common theme: rude management; no respect for customers. If you're hungry, we recommend driving to Cannon Beach.

This is not at all what I expect from a fine dining establishment. Like most people, we want to savor the experience, and not rush through like a fast food restaurant. The main dish was cod, somewhat bland and lukewarm. I’m hoping that this is due to reopening and that the meal flow will improve. Our server was delightful.

We were looking forward to a very special dinner for our 50th anniversary and were quite disappointed. Drafty front door next to our table. Both of our dinners were small portions with a large price. No salt or pepper at our table. No complimentary bread with our dinner. Side dish listed on menu for my order, which I was charged for, was not served. After dinner coffee was quite good. Our server was attentive, very nice. Sadly, we would not recommend this restaurant.

My wife and I are semi-frequent patrons and we have always been extremely pleased with every aspect of our visits. The food is absolutely fantastic, and specials should always be considered if offered. Drinks are amazing as well. You don’t even need to order off the menu. If you have a vague idea in mind as to what you would want, they can most times come up with something special and delicious. The price is commensurate with the quality of food and service. You will definitely pay more than just about any other restaurant in the area, but I will gladly pay that time and time again for both the food and drinks, but to also support a local business. RESERVATIONS!!! Always always have reservations. I have seen countless people walk in (even during the off-season) and be turned away because they are fully booked for the evening.

Spectacularly flavored food. Every bite of the grilled oysters was a party in my mouth. Excellent service - perfectly paced with dish delivery, which we were pleasantly surprised by in such a small town. We have had much more clueless service in big cities. This place is a gem. Will definitely be back.

I ordered a Manhattan which was delicious, my friend got a “bartender’s choice” vodka drink which he loved, and my partner and other friend shared a bottle of wine. I had the Mushroom Ravioli and added fresh crab. Oh my god. Absolutely delicious. It came in a lemony, buttery, creamy sauce and I could have eaten no less than 5 helpings haha. My friends had the Cod which they said was delicious and my friend asked for a dinner-sized crab risotto and they all loved it. The server is absolutely hilarious and super friendly. He is very attentive and your drinks are always full. For such a small staff, service is quick and very good. When we come back, we will definitely visit again and so should you!

We planned a recent trip to Manzanita on short notice, but were lucky to get reservations at Neahkahnie Bistro. The food, service, and everything about the restaurant was excellent. Glad they survived the pandemic, since so many small businesses in town didn’t survive. Will definitely be back on our next visit to the coast.

8/25/23 Update: I'm downgrading my review of this restaurant from 5 stars to 3 because of the unskilled waitstaff: During our dinner last night, the waitress informed us they store their Tempranillo "warm" in the cellar when we asked why it was warm in our glass. We had to ask for ice to cool it down and for the bottle to be put in a cooler bucket. We were also disappointed that she hurried us along when we wanted to have a leisurely meal. While we loved the food we were generally disappointed this visit and are wondering where is the manager? Absolutely fabulous dinner - We totally recommend this place and will be back! This time we shared the coconut prawns, whipped goat cheese and roasted garlic with flatbread and crab risotto. For dessert we had the caramel cake...it was heavenly!

Excellent food and I mean excellent!!! Avoid ordering the Long Island and if you want the sweetest waitress ever ask for Christine. Young long haired waitress is not friendly. Great atmosphere and they allow dogs on the back patio.

First time here and definitely won't be my last! I had fish and chips, hubby had a mushroom swiss burger. Both were phenomenal! But their coleslaw? That's the gold medal right there! 😋 Should definitely try them out if you're here.

By far the best seafood I’ve had on the Oregon coast! The grilled fish tacos were excellent! Not coated and deep fried. My husband enjoyed his burger and they have a great beer selection. Plenty of staff as well who were friendly and efficient . And they have a very dog friendly patio! Highly recommended and i will return if I’m in the area!

very, very disappointed. We are locals and went there for dinner. Had our dog with us, but the patio was full and so was informed by the very grumpy (as outlined in previous reviews) hostess that nothing was available out there. Said ok and put our dog in the car and sat at a table inside. A pretty nice waitress took our orders and we had a couple of drinks. While waiting I went to use the restroom and noticed that the patio had pretty much cleared out. So I asked a passing hostess (very politely) if it was possible for us to move to the patio? She said she would check. I returned to my table and a few minutes later she came and loomed over us staring down and proceeded to lecture us on they don't usually move people once seated and that we needed to remember that for future reference. I mean this was a full blown lecture like we were being rude to even think about this. So fine, we stayed put and an hour later we finally (yes an hour for 2 orders) received our food. I ordered the fish tacos and my wife had the calamari. Not good at all. Fish for the tacos was previously frozen I'm pretty sure. The calamari also and very greasy, served on top of a mountainous pile of tater tots as if that was to make up for the amazing cost they charge for these dishes. As a local I will never go back and that's a shame for local businesses that do better with frequent repeat customers that are local. However, the beer was good.

Our party of four stopped here early tonight and were quickly seated. The simple, pricey menu emphasized burgers, chicken, and seafood with an average cost of $20 per person. The basic food was well-prepared and seasoned, and the wait staff members were pleasant and efficient.

Great low key hang out for all ages. Best fish tacos I’ve had in years. Nothing fancy- no need to bring complex flavours to overshadow the freshness of the generously portioned fish.

My complaint was our server. We were visiting and I brought my wife and daughter with me.The nice ladies at the door told us it would be a 45 minute wait, unless we wanted to sit at the communal table. That was good as we like meeting people wherever we go. The waitress brought us water, my daughter ordered a beer. We ordered our food and the waitress came back 10 minutes later and asked her if she wanted another beer. Never came back to ask us if we wanted any more water. Brought our appetizer 1 hour later, the food another 15 minutes after that. Ordered some takeout for my grandkids.When we finished our food my wife and daughter left to walk to the grocery store. Took another 40 minutes to get the takeout and the check. Waitress was not really that friendly. Spent almost 3 hours, mostly waiting. 🤐

Sat outside, covered, Yummy grilled chicken burger with Tots! MONDAY is pretty closed there, but they also has a tasty ginger beer for me, no ETOH. PLENTY of visit time and always a water bar for dogs. Late opening but worth the wait. Love the decor....that's my tribe ❤️

Sorry, I usually dont do negative reviews, we just dont go back. But have to share this experience since still in shock. Hope not the norm now. Duner Tavern is one of our "fav" spots when at the coast. Have been coming for decades. Love the fire place and great "beachy" atmosphere, live music etc. Good food with many options for all. Not any more🥺.So sad!! Winter hours only open Fri-Mon 4-9pm, we get that, slow time at the beach. Came in on a Fri around 5pm to relax, watch a bit of the game and grab a drink or two while placing a "to go" order. A less than happy woman seated us at one of the many open tables. We were given menus then told we have to move to the bar with "to go" service. Menus removed, we moved to the bar where we sat for at least 5-7 minutes before being asked what we would like to drink by a very nice bartender. Again, few customers and 4 workers behind the bar "talking". Drinks came quickly🤗🤗. Same grumpy lady made sure to explain with "to go" orders there is a 50 cent per box and 20% tip accessed automatically, we agreed to the terms and ordered our dinners. Never asked if we wanted another drink, no conversation, other than about the bricked in fire place. Our order came out, we got the bill. Cranky lady looked it over, sighed heavily and readjusted the costs to include the "fees" saying something under her breath about the bartender. We left, food was good but we were devastated as a favorite stop, a place we cherished was so disappointing and cold. Over $70 for a burger, fish and chips, a beer, a martini and plenty of "why are you here attitude". WOW how things can change.

5 stars for food, but one star for being open when you say you will be. We checked in person and online for hours. Decided on what we wanted then found it was closed! I love the tequila lime chicken in anything. Everything is fresh and tasty but weren't open. So disappointing.

Worst Mexican food we’ve had on the North Coast. Burritos tasted like wet lettuce. Totally tasteless, with very little chicken. They charge for salsa and chips, with only a small portion of (tasteless) salsa. When I asked if we could have a different salsa they said we would have to buy another full order. We won’t be going back to this place.

I have been coming here for as long as I can remember and the “x-mas sauce” (green and red) bean and rice wet burrito hits the spot every freaking time 🤤 (Note: if you eat the whole thing by yourself, you will in fact need a siesta after.)

If you have mid standards this burrito will satisfy you. - This burrito should come with a pumpkin spice latte and UGGs because it has basic flavors + But it is filling and healthy. - The type of food you'd expect from a school lunch. - Far from Mexican. - Hot sauce game weak. - $9.50 for a burrito that was filling.

I had read the reviews and figured we'd be pretty happy with the food. The wait was very long (which is why I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5). The portions were a good value (especially the burrito I ordered, which was huge). The flavors were all delicious and overall we are glad we stopped.

This is my favorite restaurant of all time. It is not authentic Mexican. It is excellent flavors of West Coast/PNW style Mexican food. My favorite is the tequila lime chicken wet burrito with red sauce (extra sauce), all of the includes with mild or medium salsa. I could drink their red sauce. I wish I had the recipe. I have been a customer since the 90's when they were in one of the spaces that Wild Grocery now occupies. Also, I have only had one order in all of those years that wasn't exactly as I ordered it. Incredible attention to detail.

We love Left Coast Siesta! We visit every time we are in town. All the food is excellent. Currently, due to staffing issues that plague most area restaurants, they are only open Wed-Fri.

Process of ordering during covid was all online and easy! It was ready pretty quickly. It was all really good! The chicken was pretty flavorless but I liked everything else. I would pick a different meat next time.

Yes, yes, yes! I would kill for a little mom-and-pop grocery shop like this in my neighborhood back home! An alternative to all the shady little corner stores and corporate big box supermarkets would be a welcome addition! An absolutely astounding assortment of grocery items crammed into this little labyrinth, from fresh meats, cheeses and produce, to snacks, beverages, canned goods, packaged staples, sauces, condiments, utensils and kitchenware, camping accessories, beach toys, and a sizeable selection of beer and wine, tucked away in a little cave on the side...not to mention the fantastic looking deli counter! For the size of it this store has everything needed. Fresh fruit, veggies, bread, meat and cheese. Prices are not horrible either!

My favorite grocery store in the world! Friendly and well-stocked, you can get pretty much anything you need, plus many things you didn’t know you needed. Great selection of vegan items too!

Rude service! Popped in after forgetting my water bottle unexpectedly. Picked one up and was chastised for not having cash, costing them a credit card fee. Definitely understand the person’s concern; however, not sure how speaking to customers rudely helps keep their business open. Our family has been coming to Manzanita and shopping at this store for the past 20 years and I spent $60 there last night for just a few bits. Won’t be doing that again - there’s another store just down the road.

This place packs everything you might need. People are awesome. I would live in this town if I could. Working on it.

Wide variety of food packed into a really tiny building. Good quality produce. Friendly staff. And as you'd expect higher than normal prices because of its location.

Love this place. Very friendly, always open, prices are OK and pack in a lot of SKUs for the size. Am sure you could buy a canoe or harpoon if you asked

This is a nice little store packed with lots of groceries and items. A bit expensive but still worth a shop, especially if you want more choices than the Fresh Foods down the street. The owners and staff are super nice! Lots of Asian items, a small area for produce and meats and a deli with cold & hot items, a wine section and of course the standard items you would find in a small grocery store.

Surprising selection for such a small place-- you can probably find your brunch/picnic needs without dragging such a big load of groceries from Portland. Great selection of NA beers for the sober and soberish.

Friendly, good options for vegan/gf. Tiny little store that packs a punch. Glad to have them in our community. Prices are high but to be expected. Get the deli sandwich and take to the beach. Grab extra napkins. Enjoy!

One of the BEST experiences we have had at a restaurant in I can't remember when! We had breakfast here our first day in Manzanita and ended up eating here four times in the quick two days we were there. The staff were fantastic-attentive, kind, and funny. Food was delicious, down to the homemade bread and the best french toast we have ever had. Thank you for providing such genuine hospitality and tasty food!!We will of course be back.

What a treat it was to eat here! The owner was great. We immediately felt more than welcome and were given a choice of a table or 4 bar seats overlooking the open kitchen. We jumped at the opportunity to watch the two chefs at work and were so happy with our decision. We lightly chatted with them as they cooked the absolutely delicious and skillfully prepared dishes. I had the breakfast sandwich and topped it all off with a side of their gravy for my potatoes. The sandwich has house-made Fennel sausage, house-pickled onions, and arugula which all work perfectly together. My partner had the corned beef hash which had perfectly grilled onions and green pepper with a light sauce which he enjoyed very much. My friends had the Eggs Benedict. The poach on those eggs was absolutely perfect. If you haven’t poached eggs before, that’s a hard thing to accomplish and their chef did it PERFECTLY. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the food is spot on and a good value, and the atmosphere is exactly what you'd want for the perfect start to your day in a sleepy coastal town. We will absolutely be back and if you haven't gone before, what are you waiting for?! GO GO GO!

The food is incredible and the portions are large, a great value for what you pay. What really matters is the staff; the bartender makes tantalizing drinks to start you weekend off with a bang, the staff are friendly, engaging, and they love their work, their coworkers, and their customers. We are here every morning and it was delicious and left us laughing and feeling satiated. Do not skip this spot!

Fantastic! Great service, excellent food and drinks and a cozy, fun atmosphere. Sumptuous coffee drinks. Absolutely delicious breakfast plates (oat molasses toast is perfect!) and sides. Locals know to come early to avoid the ‘check-out time’ rush.

5 stars doesn't speak loud enough this location was well ran. Excellent customer service, the attention to detail was by far one of my best experiences. all the food is prepared fresh made with love. You can get a basic eggs an bacon with toast or corned beef hash. This is a all day served breakfast which is nice. Great job to the team running the place 👏 you made my visit very pleasant cant wait to come back.

What an amazing experience. I've been hearing about this place for over a year. And finally had an opportunity to try it. Let me tell you I did not disappoint. I had the brioche French toast with the handmade fennel sausage. My wife had The beef burger. Both were amazing. I don't think I've had better french toast before. I would highly recommend this to anybody. My side note is get your name on the list and go for a walk. It can be up to an hour wait, but is worth every minute of that wait.

No espresso drinks, but very tasty standard menu items plus specials. My wife got the shrimp and cheesy grits and she said the shrimp tasted very fresh. I got the veggie hash with chorizo which was very savory. I also had a slide of the custard French toast which was very crispy. We both had a freshly made biscuit which was great.

Really one of the best breakfasts I’ve had. Terrific service and a lively atmosphere. I recommend arriving early as it seems to fill up. That said we put our name and number down for a call back and could take a walk while waiting on a table. This will be a return stop on future trips

Spontaneous find while driving around. Excellent mix of flavours and ingredients. We were completely floored by the lamb burger and the custard french toast. We came back for breakfast the next day and were not disappointed. The veggie hash was a generous serving with well balanced spices and texture.

Absolute gem of a restaurant. Women run/owned and it’s the most incredibly pleasant dining experience. The food comes out fast and the recommendations are spot on. The French toast was the BEST I’ve ever had, no competition comes close. Can’t wait to go back again and again.

Yum! Worth the wait. Great staff and attitudes even amidst busy weekend brunch mornings. Coffee while you wait in the outdoor seating area. That green goddess cocktail, celery juice so good. Don't forget to check the specials! The waffle fries- get them at least once.

Super cute place with amazing food, drinks and incredible service.( we had the BEST Bartender/waitress ). We are staying in Rockaway beach but super happy we came to check out Manzanita We tried the huevos rancheros and the Reuben sandwich 🤤

Super cute brunch place! The food was awesome, the people were lovely. It's a cozy spot, so there may be a wait at peak times, but totally worth it!

The food was the perfect portion size. I had Papa’s Plate with Sausage. There was loud music playing and it was a 30 minute wait to seat a party of 4. They had a couple of items on the menu and advertised online that are not served anymore. Overall, pretty good experience.

This little place is is absolutely fabulous! We only waited a short time. Sat at the bar watching the cooks. So much fun. My husband had Big Papa Breakfast. I had the vegetable hash. Wow!! So much flavor. Even my husband who’s a meat and potatoes kind of guy loves all the flavors.

When the pioneers traveled the great Oregon Trail to emigrate to Oregon, they carried everything they owned in huge covered wagons pulled by oxen with enormous yolks around their necks. To commemorate this great feat, these folks named themselves after this useful apparatus, and set out to make the best breakfast on the west coast. And, boy howdy have they succeeded. The food here is sooooo goooood! So come and celebrate some local history with a great breakfast. You won't be sorry! My apologies for the bad yolk above. I'm told they were talking about eggs. My bad.

Amazing food! If you're looking for a spot to eat breakfast, brunch, or lunch, this is the place. Yes, you might have to wait a little bit to be seated, but trust me, it's worth the wait. They have indoor and outdoor waiting areas. Bar top and tables are available for seating. The owners and staff members are very friendly and helpful. Every time I've come here, the food has never disappointed me. It's a place foodies will definitely want to try out! More info: no dogs allowed for safety reasons, and they don't currently offer take-out.
