Wonderful intimate tour and very educational. Tour guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend going. There’s so much to know about the history of Long Island other than where to eat and where to shop.

This was an unexpected find during our visit to Oyster Bay. It’s pretty much right on the main downtown area of Oyster Bay. We didn’t get a chance to go inside the homes but we had a fabulous conversation with their resident historian, Claire Bellerjeau who is the author of Espionage and Enslavement in the Revolution. She is absolutely very knowledgeable!! She was able to educate my 4th grader about the Culper Spy Ring which they are learning in the classroom. We did their virtual tour on their website. Definitely if you are in Oyster bay check this place out. Or check out their virtual events. They will eventually do in-person tours and Claire can run those too!! I highly recommend this place!

We spent about an hour and a half on an excellent tour of the house and education center at Raynham Hall Museum. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and made the information accessible and relatable. Overall one of the best historical tours I’ve been on, and also one of the least expensive at $12 for adults. I look forward to coming back to see the results of the new grant they have obtained for the gardens and exterior work.

Back on LI for an extended stay, I was lucky enough to visit this well-curated and abundant museum with a descendant of the Townsend family. (He's named after Washington's spy!) We found the museum, personnel, exhibits, and interpretation of the history well-rounded and beautifully executed. Give yourself a solid two hours to cover the basics. Stay longer for informed and interesting, educated discussions.

Great information packed tour with smart phone tour featuring animations superimposed on live camera images. For example, you'll point at a diorama and an image of George Washington appears to be standing on it and explains the scene. Revolutionary war time life is described from several points of view, including a Patriot, a Torry, and an enslaved person. The mansion was enlarged during Victorian times, and these areas are decorated with timely artifacts. The prepared tour does not include this section, but it is interesting on its own. We brought our 8 and 10 y.o. grandchildren and they both enjoyed the experience. Staff were very helpful and accommodating, helping Grandma and Grandpa manage the phones. There was also a guide in the Victorian section to explain and answer questions. We entered free with library passes

We had a very pleasant visit to Raynham Hall. It was my interest in the Culper Spy Ring that brought me here and I was not disappointed. We were fortunate to have Joanne Perotta as our Docent and she gave us a great and informative tour. If you have any interest in history this is a fantastic place. I highly recommend Raynham Hall. And to top this off you can go around the corner and enjoy an Italian ice at Bonaza’s afterwards.

What a great time we had on the Christeen! Beautiful boat, happy and informative crew. We will be back for another sail for sure. I can't say enough about how perfect everything was. Pete was the best first mate, so knowledgeable, Capt Bill sailed us smoothly, and Kevin kept us laughing

This was our first time kayaking and paddle boarding here and we had a blast! It’s easy to book online and I highly recommend you sign your waiver ahead of time. It really speeds up the process for when your arrive. Each single kayak has a dry pouch which can keep your phone safe if you want to get photos. We went out around 2p (it’s August) and it was pretty hot. A sunset ride would be heaven here. The staff are nice, the rules are simple and we never felt rushed.

I had an amazing time on the Kayak Wildlife Tour around the Sound. For me it was a private tour with a guide. We went out in the morning and came back about an hour and a half later. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who has time! It's a wonderful excursion!

A Great Experience!!! We had chartered Oyster Sloop Christeen for our son's Bar Mitzvah. We had planned for about 19 people for our party. We were reaching out as early as March to talk about chartering the sloop, however The WaterFront Center was only then starting to be open during the days. It was initially difficult to reach someone, but eventually we made contact. Although some questions required the captains to answer them, we received them in a timely fashion. Everyone was friendly and courteous. Every so often, as the time got closer for the excursion, we were receiving reminders. It was great. The weather was initially looking iffy a week out, but then it looked up a few days out. But on the day of the trip there were storms in the area. However, on the hour that we showed up it was again questionable. Captain Steve Byers and Captain Emeritus Pete were meticulously reviewing the radar map. It looked as if the storm was going to drift south of us, however, we were still pleasantly given a choice whether to call it off or not. The captains allowed a decision to wait 10 more minutes, during which time we finally made the decision to go, based on the radar map. Most of our group went, a few stayed back being unsure of the weather. It was an incredible trip, with amazing narration by Captain Emeritus Pete, and piloting by Captain Steve Byers, along with a seasoned volunteer to direct sails/tacking. Famous houses, places, and history of the area was neatly provided, and all questions answered. There was good amount of experience with raising the sails, and more!!! Needless to say, we would go out with this crew again in heartbeat!!! Best regards to The WaterFront Center and the Christeen Crew!!! Dana and Vadim

This is the place if you looking for Sailing schools, Marine Education, renting all types of water craft, there is also a very long pier if you want to fish. And even boat building. The Waterfront Center is a relatively new place between The Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park and Beach And Beekman Beach. I highly recommend it. Here you can also make reservations to sail on the the old oyster sloop Christeen around beautiful Oyster Bay Harbor and surrounding waters. Also this is the home of the annual Oyster Festival. Top Notch. I love this place their is no better. Also don’t forget to stop in at building J. Where the Ida May is in progress open to the public Tues. and Thur. During the Oyster Fest I like stopping in here. I Have also enjoyed many sails on the Christeen even when the wind would not blow thanks to fair sky’s and Captain Pete’s informative tour of the history around Oyster Bay Harbor.

Sagamore Hill National Historic Site is a museum located on 83 acres of land that was once the home of Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President of the United States. Visitors can explore the Victorian mansion filled with game trophies from his exploring days, walk nature trails to Cold Spring Harbor beach or check out the Audubon Center.
Great free outdoor activity for a relatively easy hike on the grounds of Roosevelts property at Sagamore Hill. Hike The loop trail down to the Harbor. Spend time on the beach or searching for osprey or eagles. There are signs along the path with tidbits of Roosevelt history. It would be doable with a jogging stroller, but probably better to have a chest or back child carrier if you have small children. Have not been inside the residence so can’t comment on that! Dogs are allowed on leash!

Very interesting and educational experience. Theodore Roosevelt's house was intriguing, as you get a sense of how he was able to conduct business there during his presidency. The mansion is not elaborate like a Vanderbilt home, but you see the things that he valued, like the wild game that he hunted. There are also photos and paintings of people that he revered. The museum nearby is small, but well organized. The museum starts with his birth and early childhood, and ends with his death. Each set of artifacts contained a nice overall summary, then had further details if you wanted to learn more. The tour guide was pleasant and knowledgeable.

September 2022 Spectacular piece of American history where you can easily spend a couple hours. The house is magnificent and the grounds are wonderful to take a stroll and enjoy nature. I'm a history buff but I managed to learn a few things about Theodore Roosevelt that I didn't know. I really enjoyed my time here.

The Sagamore Hill National Historic Site is a renowned historic attraction that features the home of the late Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President Of The United States. Located in Cove Neck, New York, the site was known as the “Summer White House” because Roosevelt frequently spent much his summers there while he was President. In February of 2024, I brought and treated my wife and myself for a tour of Sagamore and we very much enjoyed our experience there. During our visit, my wife and I took part in a guided tour of the Roosevelt family home at Sagamore. Our tour guide did a great job on providing a concise overview of President Theodore Roosevelt, his family and their lives at Sagamore Hill. When touring the home, we viewed and learned about a multitude of the house’s furnishings ranging from gifts given by foreign dignitaries, pieces of arts and books, and trophies awarded to Roosevelt for his big game hunts. Our favorite parts of the house were the bedrooms of the Roosevelt family, most notably the bedroom of Theodore Roosevelt, where he passed away in 1919. The home was also visited by prominent figures such as Thomas Edison, Russian state officials and even President Franklin Roosevelt and his wife, Eleanor Roosevelt. When traveling Long Island, both my wife and I highly recommend that you visit this amazing historic destination.

My dogs love the trail and it's a nice leisurely hike. I've been here year round so sometimes the path leading to the water becomes a bit flooded. If you're lucky you can spot a few deer among the variety of wildlife that calls the preserve home. This place is a hidden gem and it's never too busy. It's the perfect spot to sit on the beach and watch the boats go by.

Spectacular home of President Theodore Roosevelt (1858-1919). Wonderfully situated on top of a hill. I highly recommend the Nature Trail which includes access to a beach on Cold Spring Harbor that was used by the Roosevelts. The nearby town of Oyster Bay is equally cute and includes many sights connected to President Roosevelt.

This is one of the homes where Teddy Roosevelt lived. It is well preserved and is just how it was left after the final Roosevelts no longer lived there. Lots of memorabilia from Teddy Roosevelt remains there.
Jim Holland — Google review
Thought the home looks impressive on the outside, wait till you see what’s on the inside! I went into the tour not knowing what to expect, and it was truly a time capsule of Theodore Roosevelt’s life. There’s a lot of antiques from all over the world; the space really highlighted just how much of a free spirit and adventurer he truly was. Our tour guide was spectacular in weaving the story of Roosevelt’s life in such an interesting way. I had no idea that an inkwell could be made from the foot of an animal, or that Roosevelt valued living life to the fullest despite being told that he wouldn’t live past childhood. It’s a touching story, and being in the house really brings you back in time to the mindset and interests that Roosevelt had. He was sort of an erratic genius? I highly recommend this tour, and supporting the space by purchasing tickets online. 10/10 experience!

Pro tip: please reserve your tickets on the website before you show up. We drove all the way there not knowing this information so we were not able to get in for the tour. The park ranger cannot sell you a ticket in person. Has to be done from the website. Disappointed that we were not able to get in but the place was very nice and we wish we knew ahead of time.

The location itself is beautiful. There is a small hiking trail and when the visitor building is open the kids have the opportunity to earn Junior Ranger badges from the parks department as this is a national park - they also have the stamp for your park passport if you have one and are traveling to different national parks to see how many you can get. You need tickets to explore the main house and you do have to pay for them so please make sure you have tickets BEFORE you go. Visitors building is free as well as everything else including parking. The hiking trail leads to a small beach which was beautiful. Beware the trail is slightly uphill on the way back!

Wish I came when the museum and touring was open but it closes at 4pm :/. It’s okay though because they had many signs around the property which gave a lot of interesting information about the Roosevelts. You can go on the porch of the house and relax in rocking chairs and benches. There’s also a nature trail which takes you down to the oyster bays and beach. A relaxing, beautiful, and great experience, next time I would definitely do the tour for the museum and house !

Always enjoy visiting Sagamore Hill. We went on the anniversary of Theodore Roosevelt's death. The tour guide Noah was very informative and had a great way about him, injecting humor at times. You do need an app now to make reservations for most tours, so you have to plan ahead.

Sagamore Hill is a fantastic NPS unit, perfect not just for Parks buffs or history aficionados, but for those looking for a great hike or cycle also! Teddy Roosevelt's home is preserved in pristine condition, our tour guide was incredibly detailed and insightful, and the museum was the icing on the cake. The real surprise to visitors, though, will be the gorgeous grounds. You'll see plenty of folks from the nearby communities arriving for a stroll, a hike, or a bike ride, and as they can tell you, it is easy to see how Teddy fell in love with this place. Don't miss the trail from the museum down to the water! Come. Learn. Immerse. And love every second!

This former property of Teddy Roosevelt contains the house and grounds of the Roosevelt, a visitor center, and some great trails. The grounds are well interpreted and also have a nice self guided tour that provides a wealth of information. The trails are nice, with at least one leading through the woods to a beach area that overlooks a river and the surrounding countryside. The visitor center was great and we learned a great deal about Roosevelt and his remarkable family. They do have tickets to tour the home and they sell out quick - so check that before you get there as part of your planning.

Planting Fields Arboretum is a magnificent 409-acre estate and one of the finest Long Island arboretums. It boasts beautiful formal gardens, extraordinary plant collections, rolling lawns, greenhouses, and the stunning Coe Hall mansion. The park offers something for everyone with its extensive collection of twelve gardens that can take days to fully explore.
We had a magical day at this Arboretum. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! So inspiring. Makes me want to get my garden at home in shape. I loved every moment. The greenhouses are arranged so beautifully and it’s the best arboretum/botanical garden I’ve been to in several states.

We were lucky enough to plan a visit on a warm day in autumn. We spent a few hours strolling around the lovely grounds, looking at all the beautiful trees and the gorgeous mansion. There are lots of little planted areas and paths that you can stroll. There are large open fields, and some greenhouses that you can go inside, and there’s even a little teahouse from the original owners of the mansion that is lovely and charmingly decorated. I imagine this place must get very crowded on weekends during good weather, if you can stop by on a weekday.

I visited Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park on Easter Sunday, and it was a delightful experience. The Main Greenhouse, showcasing a stunning array of cacti, orchids, and other plants, was a highlight for me. Unfortunately, the main house was closed for tours during my visit, but I learned that it would open on April 6th and 7th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a tour priced at $10 for adults. The park's 400 acres offer a beautiful escape with well-maintained trails, gardens, and greenhouses. While exploring, I noticed the park's cleanliness and how well-maintained it was. I was pleased to find free parking, although I learned that a parking fee would be implemented from May 1st until Labor Day. The park provides ample opportunities for picnics, with benches conveniently located throughout the grounds. I enjoyed the variety of trees and shrubs, creating a picturesque setting for nature enthusiasts. I also observed couples and others taking photos, indicating that the park was a popular spot for special events like weddings. Overall, I had a wonderful time and would rate my visit 4 out of 5. While most areas are wheelchair accessible, I noticed a few places with steps and no handrails.

Nice little arboretum - clean, well maintained., enough parking. Cherry and magnolias were in bloom when we went. Family friendly 1.5 mile trail on AllTrails is a good way to walk at your own pace and enjoy the outdoors. 3 stars dinged as staff was adamant and incessant about needing permits to take photos on consumer-grade digital cameras. I clearly understand the need for professional photographers to take permits, but one little digital camera on the neck and you are treated as a professional - that's a bit much. More so in today's day and age when most cell phones take incredible photos. Even the immensely larger Brooklyn and New York Botanic Gardens do not have such high-handed enforcement of arbitrary photography rules.

If you want to recharge your self with nature you should visit this amazing historic park. It is Beautiful and well maintained. We went there in summer and also in fall. Each season has different beauty. It was hard to stay longer inside the green houses in summer but it was much better in fall. You can treat your self in Magnolia cafe and their Philly cheese steak was really good. Coe Hall is opened for guided tours and so many things to see in there.

I can't believe I haven't been here before. First the place is so inviting. The outside area was beautiful. I can't wait to come back and eat there. We did the 4 course. Each course the food got better and better. Sam our waitress was terrific. She was very knowledgeable about all the food and her service along with all the others was exceptional. Epic food alert! Just visited 2 Spring in Oyster Bay, NY, and wow, what an experience! It has been my favorite fine place for fine dining in Long Island area! The food is not just delicious, it‘s a work of art. Every dish is a surprise of flavors. The drinks? Each one is a unique blend of taste and creativity. The ambiance combines cool vibes with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the service is nothing short of excellent. They have both Four Course Prix Fixe for $93 and Six Course Chef’s Tasting Menu for $125, that you can choose either you want. I'd be lying if I said this place wasn't pricey. I'd go with the expectation of spending approx $250 for two. Pricing aside, you'll be presented with an excellent dining experience, picture-esque food and flavors that will excite, even the hardest to please palette. The service is top notch, with extremely friendly and pleasant staff. The ambiance is inviting! I personally intend to make this place, a regular of mine. I couldn't speak any higher of the dining experience. Five stars across the board for 2 Spring - Oyster Bay Long Island.

A great place and atmosphere for family and friends. Service is great. Food is beyond average. I like the scallops and octopus a lot. The chocolate cake with chili flavor is a creative combination. Worthy trying. The menu has limited items for a brunch. A la carte or a three course PF for $69. No kids menu. Be aware of whether the item is spicy or not before you order for your kids. Generally a little overpriced.

The food at 2 Spring is nothing short of delectable. We visited around 5 years ago and then recently for valentines day. I can without a doubt say, it was everything we expected it to be. We did the 4 course prefix and every single dish complimented the pallet. Chef came out with a few surprises too, which only added to experience. Brendan, our waiter, was such a great character and he was so on top of it. He made our valentines all the more special. I would highly recommend this place. Best food on the island in my opinion!

The server was very knowledgeable and food was mouth watering. They offered a priced fixed 4 course meal which was incredibly worth it! The only thing was that everyone at the table had to do it, which isn't what everyone wanted. But absolutely go back and very interested in the chefs table(or what we assumed was the chefs table in the back). Great spot for special occasions.

Phenomenal brunch with the kids, celebrated our anniversary here. Everything was delicious! Make sure you order the orange cream mock tail, It’s heaven. Standouts Pancake Any of the sandwiches especially Croque Monsieur, don’t skip the sticky toffee pudding.

From the moment we walked in, until our goodbyes, nothing but excellent service (with smiles )from the entire team at 2 Spring!! What an exceptional meal from start to finish! From the cozy indoor seating to the charming sidewalk dining, a must visit if you're in the neighborhood. Cocktails through desert, bite after bite left us amazed at what the chefs prepared. Exquisite plating and yummy fresh flavors we have us returning for more of the menu. A+ to all the staff, thanks for a wonderful evening!

Great place for lazy quiet lunches... natural light filled atrium...good for all seasons..new modern decor...Servers a bit novice and look confused at times probably new o. The job..but will get better... food is very good and right portions..(not large greasy ).. coffee could get better .

Beautiful place, food, and drinks were excellent (with an exception of an undercooked pork chop), service was subpar for the price point. Unfortunately will not likely be returning as they were too inattentive and slow. I understand our waitress was covering most tables and staffing is an issue most places, however a place that is trying to be a certain caliber should always ensure adequate staffing. I would’ve given 2.5 stars if possible..

What a gorgeous restaurant, giving us the feeling of being in Italy. The decor was beautiful and classy, the food was delicious and the service impeccable. Having been to a number of Italian restaurants , this one was fabulous and we can't wait to return!!!! Kudos to the owners for opening such an incredible restaaurant.

This restaurant is extremely small and intimate. The food is simply beyond words for me, they present such a wild array of different flavors for each dish. Everything that touched our table was a treat. I cannot recommend this place enough. If I did have any complaints, they usher you out of there immediately, upon bill payment. Given it's size, I guess that is to be expected.

The food was AMAZING. I had the seafood pasta and it was one of the best I’ve ever had - everything tasted so fresh! The service was great as well, so friendly. Highly recommend! May I mention the nutella pizza for dessert was out of this world!!

A little gem with amazing Italian authentic food. Sometimes you randomly find these little spots that turn out to be a treasure. The ambiance is immaculate, it feels cozy and warm. We tried different plates and everything was tasty, a piece of Italy right here in Oyster Bay. We tried bucatini ala amatriciana, agnolotti with tartufo, meatball, octopus, pizza, the bone-in ribeye, fritto misto, etc. The service was great, the chief greeted us and explained a few of the dishes. I’d recommend Stellina and we’ll definitely come back again.

The veal ravioli was amazing as well as the veal chop super big and their passion fruit cocktail so yummy! And their truffle vanilla dessert was to die for. The good was amazing and it's was a very quick dinner in and out 30 mins, I guess because the place is small and they want to turn the tablet faster?

One of the worst experiences I’ve had in my many years of dining in Long Island. The hostess (not sure if she was the owner or not) was EXTREMELY rude. We ordered a pasta dish that was one of the worst dishes I have had the misfortune of tasting and when we complained they took the dish back immediately. We then ordered another dish only for the pasta to be undercooked, if you can’t cook pasta in an Italian restaurant what are you doing? To top it all off, the hostess came up to us and was very impolite and combative. She insisted that she would charge us regardless. This lack of hospitality would not be accepted at a McDonald’s least of all a restaurant as overpriced as this. I hope they learn to treat their customers better and equally, this is a hospitality business and people expect good service and good food and this has neither. There are plenty of wonderful Italian restaurants on the island that you should take your business to and this is not one of them

So happy to have this little gem in our area. Truly a wonderful authentic Italian dining experience. Book ahead and enjoy. We tried more of the specials but the menu boasts many dishes we would come back to try..

From the cozy, stylish decor to the warm, attentive service to the outstanding food, Stellina is a truly special dining experience. There aren’t many restaurants on Long Island, much less Oyster Bay, offering this type of authentic, elevated Italian cuisine. Everything we ordered was delicious but the pastas really stole the show. We ordered the cacio a pepe, braised veal and truffle agnolotti, and paccheri with creamy saffron sauce and pistachio pesto. All three were some of the most delicious pasta dishes we’ve ever had! We will definitely be back to try more.

The menu features homemade pasta, fresh seafood, succulent meats, accompanied by an extensive selection of wines. With its rustic yet inviting ambiance, Autentico is the ideal venue for both intimate romantic dates and joyful celebrations with loved ones.
Cute little spot in Oyster Bay, with outstanding food and top-notch service. My date and I shared a meat & cheese platter for an appetizer, and then for the main course she got the veal ossobucco ravioli and I got the pappardelle Bolognese. Everything was delicious and so filling, but I made sure to save some dessert. I tried one of the dessert specials - a cannoli donut, and it was even better than it sounds. 10/10 would go again.

The staff is amazing!!! The waiters were very friendly and professional, offering great suggestions on what to order. Overall the service was great. To eat we started off with the Piadina which was served with a good portion of prosciutto. Highly recommend it as it is a great starter. For our entrees we had the excellent special Grilled Swordfish and the spaghetti with clams. You can tell that the chef takes his time when preparing the food! Overall the food and service was great. Autentico is definitely worth the trip to Oyster Bay and I will definitely be returning!

Like many other reviews with one star, the disappointment is not with the food but with the service . We were the only table and it was our first night there. Important to note that many Italians don’t know ( or care ) that the customers can hear and understand different dialects - be careful when you’re speaking about a table . We eat out all of the time - we’ve never been served a 2 ounce glass of wine and expected to pay $14 for it- when I questioned the size of the pour and was told it was well more than 6 ounces I decided to just ask for a bottle - long story short - the server wouldn’t take the glass and give me a bottle or just give me the bottle - she said I’m going to charge you for the 2 ounce pour and a bottle - I said that was wrong and not good business practice and I decided to not buy the bottle . When it was time to pay, the server didn’t care , I explained that I myself was a server for 8 years and that her response made us not want to return - the other server said there was nothing wrong with the food just the wine and that other places would do the same - I quickly replied not Stellina’s, a beautiful Italian restaurant down the block and they both said that that’s not a Sicilian restaurant, their restaurant is different and i couldn’t believe what was just said - I’m Sicilian …what an insult , that Sicilians are not as hospitable when it comes to serving people apparently …they do not know what needs to be done to keep a good customer and acted aloof when I said I’m writing a review . I didn’t drink that 2 ounce pour and left it for them . Asked to speak to the owner who was the chef and he refused to come out (speaks volumes ). To argue with a customer and deny that what they did was wrong = Bad practice.

Thursday early evening dinner with my wife. Roberto & Antonio were princes. Explaining the menu in detail. Had a beautiful bottle of wine suggested by Roberto from Sicily. It was lite and great flavorful and robust paired well with my veal topped with cotto Italian ham cheese and cauliflower. My wife had McQueeney with clam sauce, which was very very good not your traditional white clam sauce. Don’t miss the appetizer of artichokes to die for! Great ambience the restaurant itself as beautiful. Antonio, I notice working so hard, making sure that all the glasses on the tables were free from anything. I guess that he thought it was foreign.. We will be back my understanding is that they change the menu seasonally, which is really anything to do also, Alani nu wines with the season as well

Among the finest Italian fare to be had anywhere. This smallish spot in the heart of Oyster Bay just keeps delivering the freshest, most inspired dishes I've ever found. Eating here is a gastronomic treat not to be missed!
Edward Orlando — Google review
Dinner and dessert was good but the service…..not so much. You need a manager on the floor, not just waiters and busboys. No one asked about my appetizer or main course. No one asked if I wanted more wine. No one refilled my water glass. A restaurant needs equal amounts of good food, good service and a nice atmosphere. Autentico needs a little help. I’ll go back…..someday.

Lovely little Italian restaurant! The decor was so charming, and the staff was very nice. We had an amazing authentic italian meal - we had the eggplant parmiggiano which was delicious, and the crispy lemony artichoke hearts are a MUST try! We then got the spaghetti with clams and the osso bucco ravioli. Both were clearly homemade pasta which is always a plus! Portions are nice and small (how it is in Italy!) , and the clam dish had my favorite type of clams (the tiny ones I would get in the Amalfi Coast!). Amazing selection of desserts - one of the best tiramisu's I have ever had. Can't wait to return and try more dishes from Chef Francesco.

Went to Autentico with my wife the other night on a recommendation from a close friend. Very friendly service and staff and the food was excellent. I particularly enjoyed my spaghetti with clams. The closest we have had since our honeymoon in Italy. We were told the chef is from Italy and that makes sense I can’t there is just something different about the way it was prepared. Would highly recommend!

This perhaps the best Italian restaurant in the whole long Island. First off, you better call and make reservations, other wise, you will leave disappointed. The antipasti excellent and extremely high quality meat. The bolognese papadelle is a must. The vongle pasta wows me. My favorite was the seafood antipasti...It was well worth the hour drive to get here. The services is friendly and top of the class. The ambience is very comfortable to dine in. We had a great time celebrating triple March bday with family and friends.

I am glad I walked in for lunch today. The local clams were fresh and nicely served with cocktail sauce and lemon on ice. The service was outstanding, and I am already eager to come back. The place lived up to the top Oyster Bay, NY rating it is getting.

Decided to try this place for a birthday celebration, and was primarily a nice evening with a little disappointment. The service was very good and friendly. The ambiance was warm and cozy although very dimly lit. The menu was simple yet ample, and what was nice was the printed special menu with excellent selections. We ordered Thai shrimp appetizer, and a spinach, truffle baked oyster appetizer which were both excellent. We asked the waiter if the wedge salad was large enough to split for the two of us and he said yes it was and had it split for us , the only problem was that it was really a portion for one so what we got was a very small half portion of salad, barely enough for one. For the main course, we ordered the double cut pork chop, and the pork osso buco with butternut squash and bacon risotto which was excellent. But here's where it went a little South. When I took a bite of the osso buco, part of it was actually refrigerator cold while the rest of it was barely warm, so i asked to have it returned and heated up. The portion was fine and the taste was great it was just cold. Not sure how that could happen since they took their time bringing us out the meal, which was okay because we weren't in a rush. The waiter told me it would be only two minutes and he would have it back out to me. 2 minutes was closer to 10 and when I got the dish returned to me it was a whole new serving which was nice but the new serving tasted nothing like the original. There was no bacon flavor at all and the portion of osso buco was much smaller. The upside was they gave us an extra glass of wine which was a very nice touch, and the reason why they got four stars instead of three. $160.00 with tip and we only had one glass of wine each that we paid for. Not sure I'll be going back.

My fiance and I decided to stop by after our photoshoot nearby. This came up on our suggestions and it was great! The food tasted fresh and it was flavorful. When we got in they acknowledged us right away, got us seated, and provided us with menus. The atmosphere is calm and friendly. Even as it began getting busier towards the end, they still came around to check-in which was very nice. I recommend this place!

My other half and I visited Wild Honey on our first date. It seemed like the perfect place to go after the the Planting fields. Especially on our first date<3 The candle lit linen clothed tables and wood tones are so romantic. The food was excellent and at a fair price point. We visited again about a month ago to try their week day lunch specials. Wow It was $32 for an appetizer, entree, and glass of wine. I recommend Wild Homey to everyone I know. We cannot wait to visit again!

The restaurant provided exceptional service, with a courteous and friendly waiter. The decor and seating were both pleasant, and the variety of food options was superb. My wife and I are just ate here, and it was such an excellent choice, we can’t wait to come back! I had the Baby Back Ribs and she had an oyster appetizer as her main dish. Each were ridiculously delicious. The server Maria- a gem! Visit her in Sundays for excellent service. The owner was also so welcoming and friendly- walked us though their solid whiskey list and even took a suggestion to bring in our favorite Scotch for our next visit! What a cute place as well- very romantic, great music, and warm and welcoming!

When you first walk in there is a quiet and dark atmosphere. The waitress rarely came to the table so we had to call her over multiple times during our visit but she was friendly. The food was salty and over seasoned. I got the cracker crusted wild flounder and it was soggy, as if it was sitting in the sauce for too long. Another person at my table got the vegan pad Thai with chicken and it was super salty and the sauce was way too powerful and tasted like soy sauce, not pad Thai. We also got the Thai shrimp and it was also super salty. Overall we will not be going again.

What a treat! This is a very special place. Great ambiance, warm, cozy, intimate, inviting and delicious....just wonderful! The service was fast and the drinks and food were prepared with perfection. Our server Suzie was outstanding! She was sweet, personable and very helpful. Her charm and customer facing skills were excellent and really enhanced our dining experience. As for the adult beverages, there were plenty of cocktails and wines to choose from. We enjoyed wonderful Margheritas, Expresso Martinis, Negronis and Pino Grigio! The food was amazing and so full of great flavors. Everything we ate was excellent! This included Baja Chili Spiked Meatbals, Tuna Tartar, Spinach & Truffle Baked Oysters and a very fresh Beach Salad for starters. As for the main courses the Grilled Double Cut Pork Chop was off the charts delicious. The Open Faced Fish Taco, Ocean "Bouillabaisse, Pasta Bolognese were also very good. In regards to dessert, the Ice Cream Pie was a nice way to finish our meal. On the way out, we chatted with the bartender Joe who was very funny and personable. He also made great drinks! Our party enjoyed Wild Honey so much that we spent more than three hours there and were the last customers to leave the restaurant. What a great experience! This will be one of those places we will keep coming back to many times.

Food was great, but we’re pretty sure they purposefully made a “mistake” in their math to charge us an extra $100 for a group of 7. They do their bills by hand rather than machine, which made it easy for them to simply add incorrectly to their advantage. They corrected it when we brought it to their attention, but barely apologized. Sneaky. Be careful. And it’s a shame because the food was very good.

The Homestead is a historic establishment that offers classic American cuisine and a variety of beverages in a cozy setting. It features live music nights, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. The food at this restaurant is outstanding, with the mussels being particularly recommended. The service provided by the waitstaff, including Stephanie on her first night, was excellent and accommodating. Additionally, The Homestead has a good selection of beers available.
The Homestead has the best burger that I've had in a while. We stopped by during our trip to Oyster Bay and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Our server, Katie, was super nice and attentive despite having lots of tables. The lunch menu felt like such a steal and had lots of options. Our group of four ordered two Sriracha burgers, the Texas burger, and the fig and prosciutto pizza and everything was amazing. The burger patty was so much thicker than I was expecting (I had to include a picture just to show how thick it is) and the fries were perfectly crispy. We went on a Monday and there was plenty of street parking nearby. The prices were extremely reasonable and we were absolutely stuffed after.

Stopped in for a burger and a beer. This place is a solid 4. I normally laugh when a restaurant asks how you want your burger cooked cause it always comes out well done. I asked for medium, and it fame back medium. If I knew they could nail it, I would have gone medium rare. The burger was well seasoned and excellent flavor. Fries were good too. Great lunch I had.

Hidden little gem . We Sat in the courtyard in the sun.. the homestead salad was huge and really good. Loved the baked clams..it contained the whole clam not just a bread filler the ahituna tartar looked amazing but i didnt eat it ( im not a fish gal). The lobster bisque wasnt anything to write home about. There were no pices of lobster in it...Nor the taste of sherry. The things i look for in a lobster bisque.. i had the crab stuffed shrimp with crispy rissota patty. They were ok but not much crab meat in them .i wasnt impressed with risotto it tasted kind of starchy or pasty.. but thats just my opinion. Salmon was cooked well but it had the nuts on top not necessarily crusted. unfortunately my daughter found around siv small bones in her salmon..so just be cqreful

We visited when they were a somewhat rushed for service and therefore had to wait a little, but the staff were friendly and understanding (we had young kids with us that needed food thrown into them). The space and decor is dark but well designed as a warm feeling space erring on the traditional pub design. The menu looks to be regular pub-grub but actually is a higher standard: the burger was quality (a generously proportioned) but the pulled pork was fantastic.
