The Naumkeag museum is a spacious 19th-century summer home that offers tours and the opportunity to picnic on its landscaped grounds. It is said that the $20 entrance fee is justified by the stunning beauty of the place, featuring well-manicured gardens and spectacular views. Visitors are allowed to explore the interior of the mansion while enjoying comfortable seating areas outdoors within which one can relax and enjoy nature's serenity.
Went to the Pumpkin Show at Naumkeag, which was quite amazing! The detail of the carved pumpkins was awesome (even though most pumpkins are styrofoam)! Loved the lights and festive flowers. Going inside the house at Naumkeag was quite a special experience too with more spooky scenes to explore. The Trustees try to limit to 1 hour experience which was more than enough time to circle around 2x (2 adults with no children). The only thing that would've made my experience better would be if it was a little darker outside to see the lights better; however, tickets are timed. This is a fun event for families too and some children were dressed in their Halloween costumes. 🎃 Cider and refreshments are served outside at a kiosk. Mask is required any time entry is required into an enclosed space. Overall a fun experience!

This is a Berkshires gem. In October I visited their Halloween exhibit and last week I visited their Winter Lights display. Both were amazing. The gardens on the estate are transformed into holiday wonderlands. The organization is commendable. You park in the quaint town of Stockbridge and are shuttled up to and back from the mansion. You follow lighted paths through the displays and even have a mid stop concession stand for soft drinks, hot cocoa and cider as well as some libations if you so chose. One day I would like to tour the mansion. The events are posted on their website and advance tickets were available. The timed entry makes the walk enjoyable. Well worth checking out when you are in the area. FYI: bonus ... the fall visit if timed correctly provides a spectacular foliage show.

Went to see the Christmas lights and it was well worth it! The property is beautiful and the mansion is old time aesthetics decorated to the hilt. They had the shuttle busses well organized and everyone was having a blast. They also offered hot drinks and snacks for sale as you first get there (by the house). They were also piping holiday music throughout the property to add to the ambiance. The only thing missing was snow. Definitely go if you get the opportunity!

Garden tour was very informative. Lots of stories. Wish they did a little more for the tour of house. Gardens were beautiful! Small parking lot need to go slow on road around corners.. might want to recommend a sign around there. Great staff around to ask questions but not much more than question answered. Nice upkeep

The Backstairs tour was interesting and informative from the servants' perspective. Our guide answered questions willingly and with humor. The website doesn't say so, and I was previously discouraged, because it appeared only the grounds were included with the $30 ticket, however, we were allowed to roam the house and look at the resident's side after the tour, and tske abstract of guide led garden tours. We left through the Cafe and saw high tea was full swing. It was tempting enough to come back again just for this.

Went to visit for Mother's day Tea! Lovely grounds, features, service. A must for plant lovers, landscaping hints, relaxation and the pure joy of sitting on a unique bench enjoying the scenery.

This was the highlight of our Berkshires trip. The tickets to the pumpkin show were long sold out although I check the website frequently in case of cancelations. The grounds are actually free so I thought to check during the day and we actually managed to see it with no other visitors around, although walking up from another entrance. I was such a wonderful experience and I was so happy.

Grounds are beautiful, various gardens, and tour of the Mansion is fun. Occasionally there are concerts. You pay at the door/gate and then general PARKING is down the hill on the RIGHT. Go slow or you will end up exiting and it's one way so you have to drive all the way around again. It's a moderately steep walk from the lot so wear good shoes.

As far as landscape architecture goes, Naumkeag is a joy! It was so thoughtfully and creatively cultivated to truly enhance the beauty that nature had unfolded on this property. Its wonderful to explore and has many beautiful opportunities for photo ops. The house is self guided and ecclectic. A strong Asian influence in decor and art. Interesting events throughout the year. Food at the cafe was delicious!

Went to see the Winter Lights and was a fantastic experience. Super easy check in and plenty of Shuttle buses. All staff was super kind. Also the lights were beautiful. This will become a tradition for me.

As always. It is a spectacular location. Is spectacular venue. Every year it’s laid out a little differently for each event. I highly recommend becoming a member of the Trustees group to get tickets. Every event is well planned out. Flow of foot traffic is good. They’re very nice handicap accessible bathrooms. Staff has always been very friendly which is extremely important especially around the holidays. Excellent little gift shop. Cute little snack stands with all sorts of little accoutrements. Fire in the winter time. There’s a lot of walking. The grounds are very well-maintained. Each exhibit is stunning. Most events require you riding a school bus from town to the property. Lots of good email communication. You do have to plan for extra time if you have a parking lot location. Parking choice a is the most ideal in town. But you have to be prepared to park on the street or find a spot in one of the lots.

No matter what season of the year you choose to visit, it will be worth every penny. I purchased our tickets in advance and scheduled our visit for the 5:30pm. Once we arrived in the parking section (you get to choose when purchasing your tix), the bus was waiting for passengers to take you to the mansion (a 5-minute ride). Once we got off the bus, the adventure started. As soon as you walk in, you will see restrooms and a booth where they have snacks and drinks available to purchase. We had so much fun seeing all the different types of shapes on pumpkins. 5:30 time was a great choice because we got to see the pumpkin before getting lightened up. The sunset was just breathtaking, and it felt like Christmas later at night. I would highly recommend bringing mosquito repellent and comfortable shoes. Naumkeag has such magnificent scenery that we will definitely come back for the Christmas season.

Such an amazing place for a family holiday tradition. It is a little chilly and you will need to take a shuttle bus to the property so get tickets in advance. We will be back to see the grounds and museum in other seasons.

Spectacular property with newly restored gardens and a wonderful view. The house is very interesting, with the original contents, somewhat grand but also welcoming. This property is clearly very well loved and maintained by the Trustees. I would love to return for another visit just to enjoy the gardens, maybe with a picnic next time.

Wow! My two adult kids and I experienced the Naumkeag Pumpkin show last night at 7 pm. It was spectacular. Very easy to navigate and beautifully appointed. So many amazingly carved pumpkins arranged by theme to cover every interest. The first floor was open and decorated with pumpkins and rooms decorated spookily. First visit won't be our last.

Beautiful property. Cool house. Great walks in nature and around the property. Lots of stairs blocking any clear paths around so not particularly stroller or wheel chair friendly. Inside the house they had some very cool rooms, especially the views of the closets!

Sights & Landmarks
Chesterwood is a museum that used to be the summer home of Daniel Chester French, a renowned sculptor who created The Minute Man statue in Concord. Although the buildings were closed during a visit in the summer of 2020, the grounds were well-maintained and provided beautiful views of Berkshire County. The trails on the property feature interesting exhibitions and showcase how French drew inspiration from his surroundings.
We bought our senior tour tickets online. The tour was utterly incredible. Our docent was himself a painter and brought a personal perspective to his comments about Daniel Chester French's work. The museum and visuals were historically informative. The tools were on display, and the visuals showed how sculptors work. Letters of commission were there, as well. The studio out back has been turned into an artists display. The large house/ workshop out back shows the incredible scale in which Daniel Chester French worked. The large doors and railroad tracks used to transport both marble and statues were silent testament to his era and the history of the place. The flower gardens were picturesque and well tended. There was also a woodland path for walking and reflecting on the history. The statues both on the lawn and in the studio were magnificent. There is a gift shop where one can buy replicas of statues. There are canvas stools available for those who would enjoy sitting during a presentation. The hills framed everything in a peaceful way.

Very interesting. They are working on renovation of the house as of our visit. We could only see the main level. Beautiful setting. Interesting history.

The first greeting by the gift shop attendant was friendly and engaging. We were introduced to the grounds map and told about the guided tour. The tour was highly educational and intriguing. The grounds were beautiful and manicured. Highly recommended for all art affecionados. We made use of our local library's free passes.

If you love art and architecture, see this. Wonderful guides - I recommend taking the tour. Beautiful setting and gardens, too. If you use Google maps to find it, make certain you pull up the address in Stockbridge (there are 2 places worth the same street address in Massachusetts).
Nancy Davis — Google review
Highly recommend the guided tour. Full of facts and personal insights on the life and career of Chester French. A beautiful historic property !
Cathy Kovacs — Google review
I have mixed impressions visiting this museum. The entrance fee of $20 per adult seemed excessive given small footprint of exhibition gallery and mansion being under renovation. However, gardens, views from the property and trails added another star to my review. I recommend to try Ledges trails for hiking (hiking boots are recommended) although trail markings are only for start / end of the trails.
Mike Z — Google review
This truly is a beautiful and serene historical home and studio to visit. It is a well-preserved Homestead of Daniel Chester French who was the sculptor best know for the Lincoln Memorial and The Minute Man. We took the guided tour and you learn such intricate details that might be overlooked on your own. Worthy of a stop if you enjoy history.
Meg — Google review
Very neat! Learned a lot abt Daniel French! The house is not on tour for 2 years as being restored but still worth the tour! Small walk in woods and sculptures to see. Beautiful views!
Melissa Boon — Google review
I can only speak for the grounds, as the buildings weren't open when we visited summer of 2020. But it is a beautiful place, impeccably maintained, and the landscape is gorgeous (as is most of Berkshire County). The trails through the grounds are very pretty, and have some interesting exhibitions themselves. We are looking forward to going back, when we can enter the buildings at some point in the future. But even as a tour of the grounds, it was well worth it. One can very easily see how the artist was inspired by his surroundings.

Chesterwood is one of those places to which I always look forward to going back. As an event and wedding photographer in the Berkshires, it's a very special location. The historic architecture coupled with the gorgeous gardens, as well as the sunsets over the nearby mountain make Chesterwood a quintessential Berkshires venue. I look forward to my return!
Chelsea Bordonaro — Google review
The people who work here are very nice and give you lots of info about Chester French’s career; you can tour his studio and there is an exhibition gallery and gardens!
Nicholas Matranga — Google review
The sculptor Daniel Chester French is best known to most as the creator of the great statue of Abraham Lincoln in the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. He lived in the Berkshires in Massachusetts and built a beautiful home as well as a sculpture studio that will turn artists green with envy. Docents are on hand to give you information about these places, and it is awe-inspiring to stand in his studio where such art was made. Chesterwood hosts an Artist In Residence program, so you might be fortunate enough to see a sculptor working in here during your visit. It’s lovely to go in the summer when the gardens are at their best.

The Norman Rockwell Museum in his hometown showcases a significant assortment of the artist's authentic creations and souvenirs. The renowned illustrator, born in New York City in 1894, made his debut with the Saturday Evening Post by designing its cover page illustration in 1916. Over the course of half a century, Rockwell furnished 321 more covers for the Post magazine, along with illustrations for books, posters and several other publications.
Beautiful property although I didn't walk the grounds because it was windy and cold. The museum was fantastic. Mr. Rockwell's ability to capture the emotions and tell a story with his illustrations is incredible. Well worth the trip.
Jean M. Grenier — Google review
This is a great museum to get a better understanding and appreciation for Norman Rockwell, who’s classic artwork reflects the best of American culture through the years. The museum includes a lot of original classic paintings by Rockwell including the four freedom paintings. There’s plenty of information about his life and influences as well as relatively unknown works of art by Rockwell displayed. There’s also hundreds of Saturday Evening Post covers from Rockwell throughout the years. Unfortunately his personal studio was closed when I went, but I was able to walk around it and look through the windows. The whole experience was very good and I would totally recommend visiting the Norman Rockwell Museum.
Frenite — Google review
It very much exceeded my expectations. Lots of excellent magazine covers and paintings of all kinds. Rockwell was not by any means an unthinking 20th Century American. He saw the world with a sharp eye. That being said, the museum insists on "contextualizing" some of his works. Why? He painted what he saw. P.s., the magazine cover in which the Saturday Evening Post announced a series of articles by Benito Mussolini was ... interesting. My, what hindsight might say.
Dustin Hecker — Google review
This was our first time visiting and we honestly did not know what to expect. I thought I was somewhat familiar with several of his cover illustrations. We were surprised at just how many covers were familiar. This was an amazing museum really. Not many people used the interactive app that gives you recorded background on the subjects and work but I strongly recommend this. It’s much better than simply reading the plaques. We’ve been to many museums all over the world and cities, we always go for the audio tour. Short of having a human guide this is the most immersive way to optimize your experience. So many people just walk around looking bored after some initial excitement, but take my advice here. And remember to take earbuds along. Also watch the short movie on the lower level to see the tone on Rockwell. I really enjoyed the amazing original covers, imagining a simpler, honest, small town…a kind of naive American culture from the past. I realize this wasn’t necessarily the case, but it’s a nice utopian place to allow your mind to wander to occasionally, even if just for a few hours. As you can tell I highly recommend the museum and appreciate the experience. An excellent Museum overall!

I've always wanted to go to the Norman Rockwell Museum. Today I finally went. It was a spectacular display of all his work. We even paid a little extra ($10) to go into his art studio. The woman there was so knowledgeable about everything Norman. So happy I finally got to go.
Kim Baca — Google review
Great museum with all the art work very well organized and displayed in a methodical manner. They have 2 floors where the paintings are displayed. There is a documentary that is shown which is also great since it talks abt the life of Norman and his technique. The gift shop has a lot of cool gifts at reasonable prices. When I went the tickets were all sold out online but I was able to secure the tickets nevertheless. There is a walking trail on the grounds of the museum which is very nice.
Novik — Google review
A well-curated and organized museum showcasing works by the American icon of commercial illustration. The museum is located on ample grounds with lots of space to walk. There's plenty of parking as well as charging stations for electric cars. The experience consists of the museum building and a detached building hosting the original Norman Rockwell art studio which is only available via a guided tour. The movie room downstairs showcases hundreds of magazine covers created by Norman Rockwell as well as playing a documentary on the artist which allows you to learn a lot about the story and life of Rockwell. There are bathrooms available both on the ground floor and the lower level.

An outing that captivated our family of four (a teen and tween included) was a trip to the Norman Rockwell museum in Stockbridge MA. Rockwell lived in this town for the last 25 years of his life and an enormous collection of his works are now housed in this beautiful museum. We didn’t know much about Rockwell except that we delight in one of his paintings that sits on our piano at home, in plate form. I found this plate at a thrift store when we first moved to the US and liked the image of the little girl putting on lipstick. I’ve since learned that this was one of his works from the 20s. Wandering through the gallery of his Saturday Evening Post covers is truly a joyful experience! His ability to paint human expression with such detail is amazing. It is also quite something to ponder on the times that he was painting in - the Great Depression and then World War 2, and to notice how he kept subjects light for the sanity of all. Some of his most famous paintings of this period were The Four Freedoms and these were used to raise a significant contribution towards war bonds. It was wonderful learning more about those from one of the guides who was walking around. We also very much enjoyed the exhibition by artist Nora Krug also on display at the time (April 23) and ended up buying her two books. What an amazing experience and one that will stay with us always. If you have the opportunity to visit I’m sure you will find you feel the same.
Lauren Simpson — Google review
Amazing man and amazing art. He could have gone any direction but chose illustrations. 323 Saturday evening post covers. This museum is not overwhelming, but still allows you to see Rockwell's various sides and social commentary. You could go back once a month and still not take in all he had to say. This place is a national treasure.
Stephen G — Google review
A joyful experience. On display are a host of Rockwell paintings and Saturday Evening Post covers. Each piece has an informative plaque with insights into the origin and use of the piece. I enjoyed seeing the process by which he created his paintings and sketches. Also on the grounds is his studio which was relocated from the nearby site of his Stockbridge home. You can almost feel the creative process come alive. Some site photos plus a few of the pieces in the museum are included.

A nice museum, with some good informative videos on bits of Norman's. A nice walk around the grounds brings you to the river and his studio. I would recommend if you're in the area and need something to do for an hour or two

A beautiful sunny summer day relaxing enjoying the beautiful artwork of our own American artist, Norman Rockwell. Along with featured artists, the afternoon was fascinating and educational. Lunch on the terrace was perfect! Nestled in the Berkshires, you listen to the songs of birds and the occasional lone whistle of a passing train. I took home a cute souvenir from their well-stocked gift shop. Enjoy!

I was a fantastic museum of a wonderful person situated on a beautiful site. It had everything you wanted to know about the man and his work as an illustrator of American life as seen in magazines, newspapers and his paintings. See & hear his life as told by one of his son's in a video & guided tours. See how anyone can be manipulated by others to serve an agenda and how an artist begins his work for the greater good through an idea.
Hal — Google review
Wonderful time at this museum, had been wanting to visit for a while. I recognized many of Rockwell's pieces, and was able to see so many that were new to me. Truly enjoyable! Purchased a few item from the gift shop, including a treat for my Sasha. She loved it🐾
Cailin Doerre — Google review
A truly wonderful museum devoted to the work of a great American artist, with galleries available for special traveling exhibits of other renowned artists. It is one of those places where people can come back to over the course of many years to appreciate Norman Rockwell’s prodigious creativity and draw inspiration from it. If you want to better understand a period when America was truly a great nation (not without serious problems, but empowered to tackle them), this is a place for that reflection. PS - If you want to visit Norman Rockwell’s Studio (separate building on the museum grounds) ask specifically for a ticket and hours for the tour. Post-pandemic, ticket required.
Paul Nakazawa — Google review
What a fascinating spot. Aside from Norman Rockwell's interesting history and retrospective, we enjoyed seeing the work from other artists as well as the Tony Sarg exhibition. I recommend watching the short video downstairs for extra context and history. The gift shop has a nice assortment of home goods, postcards, art prints, puzzles, and more.
Stephy Miehle — Google review
Not cheap ($22 adults) but an incredible museum for lovers of art, realism, Rockwell and US history! Start downstairs with a 12 minute video on his life. Take a moment to look at the hundreds of magazine covers, then move upstairs to view his paintings. The most interesting paintings include the sketches or model pictures to see his process.
Stephan Miller — Google review
Great local museum! The woman working in the gift shop was insanely kind and gave me a free bookmark because I mentioned I was buying items to decorate my dorm room with. Would definitely visit again!!

Loved visiting this museum, seeing the works of such a great artist in such a historic time. Grounds are beautiful as well. Start with the video, it highlights so much about his life.
Theresa St. John — Google review
We purchased two tickets for the museum and only after trying to enter were told that all the actual exhibits were closed off to the public for an event and that the artist studio was closed as well. So we paid $20 each to see a basement of recreated artwork while the originals were above us. We were told we could enjoy the rest of the open museum by taking the elevator from the basement to the 1st floor. It took us to the gift shop.... We felt the basement exhibits were nice but that it was not right to charge us for full admission without advising us that multiple areas were closed to the public, yet had other people going in and looking around.
Mallory Learman — Google review
A wonderful museum showcasing the life and work of iconic illustrator Norman Rockwell. There are two parallel exhibitions of contemporaneous artists, one of whom is Leo Leoni. There is multimedia, including a short documentary about Rockwell. On grounds are picnic tables overlooking the Berkshires and well-maintained walking trails.

This was a great experience! I loved how close the paintings were. This made it easier to see. I also liked the tour. I would suggest taking this tour because it can help you understand Norman more and why he painted certain images the way he did. Also, the gift shop has great items that I enjoyed and still like today.

My connection with Norman Rockwell began in childhood, paging through a book of his works and sipping Shirley Temples at "Rockwells" with my family. Recently, I revisited his world at the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Mass. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the experience was as enriching as ever. The museum's scheduling system ensured a safe and intimate visit, allowing me to appreciate Rockwell's artistry up close. His ability to capture everyday moments with profound depth left me in awe. One particular piece, reminiscent of a Saturday Evening Post cover, held a special significance for me. Seeing it in person reaffirmed the power of Rockwell's art to inspire and move me. It was a day filled with serendipity and reflection, reminding me of the enduring impact of art on our lives. Warm regards, Marisa Balletti-Lavoie

One of the top outdoor attractions in the Berkshires. Great place to walk around and take in trees, plants and flowers. Often they have exhibits going on too so you can find new things to see. If you need a place to tire the kids out there’s plenty of open space for them to run around. I believe it does close in the winter so not an option all year.

Visited in late May. Some flowers in bloom but too early for most. Beautiful arts center, check out the living green wall. It's well maintained and loved gardens. I enjoyed my time. Checkout the green houses , interesting varieties. There is a gift shop with lovely items. There are two sides of the gardens. You pay the admissions on the parking lot side and most if not all of the beautiful gardens are across the street.

What a cute experience! For those who appreciate flowers, plants, and gardens, this is the place for you. Admission is $15/adult with no senior, AAA, or student discount. They do reciprocate with NARM if you do have a membership. Went in early October when not all of the flowers are blooming, but still got to see quite a few lovely flowers. There are statues of birds using different media for the "Birds Take Flight" 🐦 showcase - think bronze, mosaic, etc. Found some cool plants such as "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" and other cool gems like a wishing tree 🌳. Definitely a cool place to venture to if in the Stockbridge area. Would love to go back in spring/summer.

I went in late April and it was so beautiful, everything is budding, the walk of all the daffodils is ridiculously cute. Be sure to check out the art as well. The shaped garden even has some chairs that you can sit on, made out of bushes! Stunning place, and a lovely experience.

It is a beautiful place and well maintained. It's also easy to find and seems as though the parking would normally not be a problem. We were there the day before a Halloween festival, so parking was difficult due to a lot of vendor setup activity. There is quite a bit to see, and although there is a map, which I found generally helpful, it is probably just as fun to wander around. In general, everything seemed to be labeled well, which is great if you really want to know what you are looking at and don't want to have to constantly consult a pamphlet. The gardens cross a road, and while there is a crosswalk, you do need to be careful as it seemed that some were driving a little too fast for the road. It's probably best to do one side and then the other to minimize road crossings. The visitors center has drinks and snacks and a small gift shop. We did not shop but stopped in to pay, ask some questions, and get a map. As far as the fee is concerned, the recommended donation is $18/adult. I walked away feeling that was just a little high, but it's likely that was a me problem for two reasons. First, we were pressed for time, so I didn't feel as though I spent enough time to "get my money's worth." Second, the $18 is the suggested donation, and I felt no pressure to pay that amount.

A beautiful botanical oasis! This garden is huge and a wide variety of flowers, trees, and rare plants. When we visited they had a wonderful topiary with crocodiles, peacocks, lamas, and other animals. Several pathways lined with flowers. There is a small indoor gallery. Pre-pandemic there was an annual harvest festival here each September that had tag sales, musicians, local artisans, and games.

I went for opening week this spring. It was quiet, I practically had the place to myself. Such a beautifully maintained botanical garden. The magnolia trees were in bloom but it was too early for many. Looking forward to going again to experience different flowers. The 40 Stone Tree is quite a spectacle — such a beautiful creation by a local (NY) artist. I highly recommend exploring the grounds. There are events, programs, classes and free days.

At first, it felt a little expensive... but then as we kept walking and seeing all the nooks and crannies, we felt more and more it was worth every penny. A lot of time and energy is put into this wonderland of beauty.

So pretty here, even in the rain! I’d love to explore some other time if I’m ever in the area when it is sunny and not full of vendors for a harvest festival. I learned a few things and enjoyed seeing such diverse plant life. I also like the vegetable garden area and learned there are more types of tomatoes than I had realized! It was a quick walk through and I didn’t get to see it all but it was lovely anyway. I do hope to visit again someday.

Beautiful site. Staff are very helpful instructing guests on accessing the audio guide on your phone. Gardens are on both sides of the road. It takes about 2 hours to leisurely see everything. There are lots of places to sit and relax while enjoying the gardens.

My wife and I are regular visitors to botanical gardens in different cities — the Berkshire Botanical Garden stands out as very special and a “must-see” for visitors to the area. The complex itself is bifurcated by Highway 102. There is visitor parking on one side only (presumably the older portion of the Garden). Interestingly, they have made this condition a distinctive advantage, providing two distinctive types of landscapes. There is also a store selling books and merchandise, an education center building (with accessible toilets), and an art gallery/library/conference building. Plenty of seating and of different types for individuals, couples, small groups.

There was so much to see! We spent hours exploring the many gardens in the sunshine and during an unexpected light rain which we waited out in a lovely arbor. There were so many beautiful flowers even in mid-August.

Great botanical garden to walk around or sit down and have lunch at. I was lucky enough to randomly stop by while the Daylilies were in bloom and was able to get some amazing pictures. The rest of the property is just as beautiful. I always enjoy walking through the greenhouses. I also like to see other peoples vegetable and herb gardens and how they are set up compared to the one I have growing back home.

The Red Lion Inn, located in Stockbridge MA, is a storied inn with nearby guesthouses that offer turndown service and a heated pool. The inn is renowned for its farm-to-table dining experience, featuring decadent meals made from fresh, local ingredients. The dining room is a landmark spot for fine dining in the Berkshires, offering an ever-changing menu that reflects the flavors of each season.
My family has an old farm house in a neighboring town, and the vibe in the Red Lion is about as authentically New England as you can get. The staff are all exceedingly courteous and professional, and the food was definitely a highlight for us. The food here is absurdly good. Also, they have an outdoor heated pool that is open year-round, which provides for an excellent and unique experience. The one caveat to our stay was the roving bands of unattended minors. I understand that it comes with the territory for a hotel stay on a ski weekend, but against the backdrop of their pristine and excellent dining establishment, the kids' antics are exceptionally irksome. I witnessed multiple servers attempt to quiet children down, or ask guests to watch their children, but it seemed like they were acting of their own volition. A clear approach and knowledge that they'll have management's support would be very helpful in situations like these. To be clear, this is 100% the fault of the parents, and I do not blame Red Lion remotely, but it is a reality. I'd imagine your margins are better on alcohol than food and lodging, and I can promise you'll sell more booze if you set some modest standards for decorum in common areas.

We were nervous that we wouldn't get a table, since when I called, the woman told me they were booked for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the next three days. We showed up at 10:30am, to get a reservation for that day. The manager graciously fit us in as soon as lunch opened at noon. We had the clam chowder, smashed burger, and French dip sandwich. The burger was AMAZING. The toppings were delicious, probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. The service was wonderful. Our waitress was knowledgable, patent, and kind. The ambiance is so unique. The building is classically beautiful, full of culture and history. We were able to walk around and sit in the various sitting rooms throughout the first floor of the inn. It was one of the highlights of our trip to The Berkshires. I hope to return in the future... to get the burger again!

It was a very nice place meal was top notch with mash potatoes being the best thing on plate. Ian the host was wonderful to meet. Only issue I had was one skunky sour draft beer from tap in back, Carlos said he wouldn't charge me for it but did anyways. Should have known better when I overheard him telling a customer he planted peach trees that produced beautiful oranges???

The Red Lion Inn is an iconic Inn in the heart of the Berkshires. The timelessness of the guest rooms and common spaces are so welcomed in a world filled with relentless newness. You are brought back to a time where you are welcome to do everything or nothing at all. Wonderful food is served in the dining room, tavern and courtyard. The Lion's Den is a must for an after dinner drink and live music. Relax on the front porch or at the intimate courtyard bar. The hospitality in is exceptional. The staff is at the ready to ensure a lovely stay. The Berkshires have so much to offer, but don't be afraid to slow down and just spend the day at the Inn enjoying a slower paced day.

Overall it was a good experience. For a 3 star hotel it is on the pricey side. Food choices were confusing, for example, you can get the Tavern menu along with the fine dining menu in the main dining room. The lions den bar also offers a limited menu. Very quaint downtown. I would skip the chix pot pie, it's really an appetizer sized entree.

We love going here for a drink that we order at the bar and then sit on the couches to enjoy by the fireplace. It is such a romantic and charming spot. I highly recommend their irish coffees that they make with real whip cream on top! The little booths are secluded too if you want to enjoy an intimate dinner.

The food was amazing but that’s about it. We were ignored most of the time and I had to flag our waitress down to even get water. We ordered a half bottle of wine, apps, and both prime rib but the service was lacking. Children were running around in bare feet, host and servers yelling to each other about what they were ordering for dinner. A dress code is listed but people in sweatpants and sneakers were in the dining room. I appreciated the lovely live piano music. We intended on staying for cocktails and dessert but didn’t feel like the experience was worth our money so we went to Lenox for drinks and dessert instead. Years ago I came with my younger brothers and the host was incredibly rude to us and told us we would be better suited for the tavern. Which was fine with us. But we came this time to celebrate meeting in the Berkshires and getting married this spring. We had much better service at Dottie’s Coffee in Pittsfield so maybe we will celebrate anniversaries there instead. Our experience really put a damper on our vacation and I don’t think we will be coming back. For an institution that prides its self on a high level of service, it was not seen here. Again, the food was amazing and we loved hearing the live piano music when it wasn’t drowned out by masses children running around barefoot in the lobby just behind us.

Stopped by for lunch, did not stay in room. Place is very old. Lots of antiques all over the place. Staff was very friendly. Best to make reservations. I had the fish and chip, wife had the turkey sandwich. Both were excellent. Fish was very light crispy breading. Fries were incredible. Cole slaw was very different, almost vinegar like. I did not like it. Sandwich was really good, turkey was tender with lots of flavor. Chips were really good. We had the brown sugar cake for desert. Swapped vanilla for coffee ice cream. OMG, really good.

This review is for the main dining room. We ate here in December 2022 and it was fantastic. Usually, a sandwich is not noteworthy. Usually it’s just fuel until the next meal. But the French Dip I had at the Red Lion was certainly the best sandwich I have had in recent memory. We ate in the main dining room just before 3:00pm. We did not have a reservation, so there was about a 30 minute wait, which seemed reasonable. The whole dining experience was great. And for the rest of the day I kept thinking how good that sandwich had been. So good!

We ate lunch here with friends but we didn't stay. Lunch was wonderful! Yes, it was pricey but it was worth it. The service was outstanding. Our waitress KayLee was fantastic and accommodating to our table even though one person was late. I had the lobster roll; my husband had fish and chips. I was a little disappointed that the fries weren't hand cut but it wasn't a big deal. For dessert, I had the warm brown sugar cake - AMAZING! My husband had the apple pie. It wasn't as good as his mom's but that would be a hard act to follow, lol. After spending the day at Naumkeag, lunch at the Red Lion was like being transported to another time. We look forward to returning and checking out the upcoming changes they have planned!

RESTAURANT Our grand-daughter, food critic for her school newspaper, summed it up: this was the worst fancy-expensive meal I've ever had. The inn and dining room are beautiful and historic -- worth a visit. Trouble started with the maitre d', who first tried to seat our party of 6 at a table for 4. That was quickly corrected, however. The wait staff were very nice and friendly, but clearly stressed and working above capacity. The special were not presented, there were long stretches between courses, and our bread basket ($3!) never came. As for the food: The good: Our grandson said the smashburger was the best he's ever eaten (and he's eaten many). The bouillabaisse was excellent. Apple pie was generous and good (not great), warm brown sugar cake was interesting and very tasty. Coffee was good. The bad: the Caesar salad was limp with too much dressing, main courses seemed to have spent far too long under heat lamps waiting to be brought to the table. The pork chop was tasty but desiccated, prime rib had a discolored dry sheen on top, tofu vegetarian dish was inedible. Verdict: come for dessert and coffee to enjoy the ambiance.

Like something out of a dream, The Red Lion Inn is a sanctuary of ease and calm in this ever more rapid, noisy world. Here, one steps back into a time of small town Americana where a delicate emphasis is placed on the personal, with an absolutely wonderful, friendly staff only too happy to help with any needs you may have. The building itself is quite literally a museum of cozy charm, replete with innumerable areas for quiet enjoyment or great group celebrations (and fantastic opportunities for private parties). There are three terrific restaurants ranging from the more formal dining room, to a casual bar, to the downstairs club, The Lion's Den, which features music superbly curated from top local talent. Having myself stayed or resided at many of the best hotels in the world, The Red Lion Inn holds a special pride of place in my heart for their always kind attention to whatever help I needed, no matter how small. There's a heated pool and a hot tub (fantastic) and more things to do in the area than can be possibly enumerated, not least of which is Tanglewood, perhaps the greatest music festival in the United States. If you're looking for a real respite and ready to be transported to a world you no longer knew existed, this is the place for you. And for those who are rightly concentrated on their budget, the value you receive for dollars spent here is extraordinary. I would ordinarily say "it blows away the competition", but in this instance, there is no competition: there is only one Red Lion Inn. Get yourself there now and forget your troubles. Can't recommend more highly.

I worked here 50 years ago, so I came back for a visit. The chicken pot pie was nicely presented, but was basically a thick stew covered with a store-bought biscuit and was not spectacular. My husband enjoyed his salmon meal, but we both agreed that it was overpriced, the service was adequate, but the bread was good.

We had dinner here for the first time, despite living not-so-far for 35 years. The experience was positive but suboptimal. Good (not great) food (portions smaller than expected) and good (not great) service. Decor is 1960's country inn, which is welcome and expected. It was peaceful and welcoming so we did have a pleasant meal, but $350 for 4 people seems a bit much.

This is a very interesting place. It has a very old time feel that is borderline creepy and charming but it leaves you wanting more. It has an outdoor heated pool and spa, which I took advantage of in 15 degree weather. I stayed in the Meadow Glen house which seems to be one of the better accommodations. Unfortunately, I did not have cell phone reception in the room, the internet kept going in and out, the television remotes didn't work, and the landline phone would not connect to the office. I didn't eat from the restaurant at the inn but they have options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I walked around most of the main building, it has some weird nooks and very old furniture. Overall the place but pretty cool, I would stay there again. It was different but still comfortable.

Landmark hotel in the heart of the berkshires. Well maintained and clean. Historic Colonial atmosphere with beautiful lobby and majestic fireplace. Tapas bar with live entertainment and great food/drinks downstairs and legendary white table cloth, farm to market dining room upstairs. Amazing cuisine. You can't go wrong here, and you'll be wanting to come back time and again!

Quaint Inn, exceptional staff. Very pet friendly. Rooms are very clean, the bathroom was spa like and large. The beds very comfortable. We stayed in the Maple Glen building which is perfect for pets. Plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. We were visiting the National Shrine of the DM within 0.5miles for those who need a nearby stay.

I only ate in the dining room. I love old and historic buildings! Such a cool place! The lunch was just ok, the fish and chips and a sandwich were nothing special. Our waitress was young and inattentive. I watched her pour water on another table and she did not come to our table often or bring us things we asked for. We liked our drinks a lot though.

The people were lovely. The location was great. The inn was very nice. Our room had a full floor to ceiling cobweb between a closet and a wall. Never found the spider. The a/c hit a gilch but we managed to reboot it. The historic nature extends to the metal bed which was squeaky. Terrible pillows. We had a good time but returning? Not for us.

The rooms are always spotless when staying there. It's perfectly set in the main town area and just about 10 minutes to anywhere you may want to go. Live music, front porch sitting. A great aspect and full experience of the berkshires!

This review is focusing on the restaurant only, not the accommodation. I didn't want to have to write it, but I feel compelled after not receiving a satisfactory response from hotel management. My mother and I took my father to the formal dining room in November to celebrate his 85th birthday. The night of our dinner was quite cold outside and still, with little wind. When we entered the Inn, all of us were surprised by the heavy layer of fireplace smoke hanging in the air in the lobby / lounge area. (This was both visible in the air and also obvious to the nose.) Both of my parents have lung conditions - and thus they cannot tolerate smoky air. We assumed that the restaurant would be tucked away somewhere beyond the reach of what is essentially pollution, but of course that's not the case. Our table was situated close to the "archway" that divides the lounge and the dining room and we smelled the smoke throughout our meal because it kept wafting in. Perhaps a flue wasn't being used correctly, or maybe this issue was due to the lack of wind, but it made our dinner difficult to enjoy. It was moot to ask for a different table, as the smoke was throughout the whole restaurant, as I discovered when I used the ladies' room. We skipped ordering dessert because we wanted to leave as quickly as possible to avoid breathing the smoke for more than one hour. When we returned home, my hair and dress smelled like a campfire. Now, as someone raised in Western Massachusetts, I understand the "charm" of fireplaces for tourists to the area, but this wasn't acceptable, especially considering that unpolluted air is just an expectation for a restaurant experience. I sent an email to the hotel to voice my complaints privately, as I wanted to avoid writing a public review. Simon, the General Manager, tried to call me at a time when I couldn't answer the phone, and so he emailed me. I tried to call him back and couldn't reach him, so I emailed him. Some weeks passed and I didn't hear from him. Nothing has been done to resolve this matter. I realize that the holidays are a busy time but all of this occurred prior to Thanksgiving and now we are over one week into the new year. The experience itself - along with the "false promise" of being able to speak with Management about it and then nothing coming of it - has soured my opinion of this place, which is a shame because it's a Berkshire institution.

Very nice old Inn. Loaded with atmosphere, antiques and charm. Restaurant is very nice food is good. Staff very friendly. After lunch or dinner you can relax by the fireplace in the lobby. Make a day of it and visit the Norman Rockwell museum - very worthwhile. Also stroll the many shops in the town center.

We traveled here for a long weekend, but didn't stay at the hotel. We love this time of year at The Red Lion Inn and had lunch in the dining room. The Red Lion never disappoints, and we have been coming here for many years!!! The Christmas tree and fires in the fireplace are amazing! They do a great job with the outside decorations, too!

Very nice experience at The Red Lion Inn; food is amazing in both the main restaurant and pub; live music on the weekends in the Lions Den with a sexy “speakeasy” feel. Staff was friendly and helpful all around; the Inn is an authentic vintage Inn with a lot of charm; front porch was a nice relaxing spot to have a drink. However, our room was not in the main building which was more than disappointing; and although our room was charming, it was in a completely different building- not what we expected and not what we paid for.

Lots of Gluten Free options; GF bread, buns, and wraps! The GF french toast with strawberries and maple syrup was very good. I would like to try their GF bagel, but they said it was prepackaged from their vendor, so I'm not expecting much. Would definitely come back.

Nice menu choices with something for everybody. My group enjoyed our sandwiches; I opted for the apple walnut chicken salad sandwich with all the fixings (lettuce, tomato, red onion) and it was tasty, though the chips were pretty forgettable. One of my friends had the lobster roll and was very happy with it!

nice atmosphere, food was decent but nothing to get excited about. some interesting options, one of my dining partners got the crab cakes Benedict and seemed to like them. lots of non dairy milk options, not much without eggs though. I had the oatmeal with fruit and nuts. it was ok, but $12 seems like a lot for a bowl of oatmeal even with the handful of fruit and a few walnuts.

Michaels of Stockbridge is a charming and laid-back restaurant that serves classic American dishes like burgers and pasta, complemented by a full bar. The dining experience here is versatile, allowing guests to start in the dining room before moving to the bar. The menu goes beyond typical pub food, with highlights such as their French onion soup. While some recent experiences have been mixed due to staffing issues affecting food quality and service speed, others have praised the friendly bartenders and attentive servers.
Our server arrived promptly, was friendly and attentive. We will happily eat here again. We both had the bowl of chili, which I would rate as excellent. The bill came quickly and we recommend this restaurant.

Great food to grab close to downtown Stockbridge! They have both options for lighter fare or something a bit heavier. The food was delicious and just enough for us, we didn’t order drinks but it also seemed like they didn’t offer much other than beer/wine/soda. The drink menu only showed beer/wine. The restaurant was clean and we were satisfied, although it did seem like the staff forgot we were there at the end of our meal.

We have eaten here several times and food and service has always been excellent, but not this time. They were only seating a few people at a time because only one cook showed up. Two waitresses and a bar tender made up the rest of the crew I had the fish and chips that has always been very good, but this time it was overcooked and dry. My companion had the Cobb salad which was very good although the chicken was cold. Likely because it was ready before my meal, but held to be served together.

Local pub atmosphere and very cozy. We sat in the bar area when there were a lot of local regulars. It reminded me of Cheers. Food was ok . I had clam strips and my wife had turkey burger. Clams were chewey but ok. My wife enjoyed her burger and we both had lots of fries that came with the meals. Service was great. We will return again but try something else. Would recommend if in the area.👍

Service was attentive, food came out after 20 minutes, everything was fresh, had the potato skins (hot and delicious), burger (cooked perfectly medium), and quesadilla with chicken. We had a great time and the bar wasn't too noisy. The three of us ate and drank for $65, which is very reasonable at 9pm and nowhere else is open. Highly recommended, thanks for the hot meal!

I had a pretty good chicken parm dinner at Michaels. Though the service was a bit slow, I enjoyed the chicken parm over pasta and side salad. The prices also weren’t too bad and the atmosphere was quite pleasant. There’s both a bar area and a quite dining room. As long as time isn’t an issue, I’d recommend dining at Michaels.

Came in last Sunday and got seated at a high top near the bar and were promptly forgot about. We had to grab someone to order and we also had to grab someone to get our check. We were clearly supposed to order with the waiter and not at the bar. Anyhow the food was very mediocre. I got the French onion she got the clam chowder but was sold out and instead the red pepper soup. Unfortunately the bowls weren’t cleared when entrees were dropped. I got a chicken Cesar wrap ehh and she got a burger that looked good and she enjoyed but did order medium and came out Med rare. Couldn’t have told anyone even if we wanted to as no one stopped by to check on things. Seemed more a local bar. It’s in a convenient location and it’s very big.

Went to Michael's on Sunday for lunch at the bar. We were welcomed so nicely by a great bartender, Kelly. She tended to us immediately and we told her it was our anniversary. She made sure we had great drinks and food! We had a Margarita, bloody mary, and tried a chocolate martini. We had the hugest pretzel that we loved and a Delicious Reuben sandwich and a burger with some wicked good fries. Brava is a charming wine and beer bar that offers a cozy and intimate setting for patrons to enjoy an array of delectable bites. The sleek tapas bar, established in 2012, boasts an impressive selection of over 100 fine wines, with more than three dozen available by the glass.
Brava is a delight! Food was delicious and service was exceptional. Our "main" server (young lady with green highlights) was prompt, polite, professional and personable. I used the word "main" because they use a team approach, with was seamless. If we lived nearby, unfortunately we do not, we would be regulars. Obviously well managed; this place is STELLAR!

The food and drinks were impeccable! The atmosphere is terrific and open later than most in the area. If you're lucky, Rachael will be your bartender, or server, or both :) Ask her for the Sinatra table, but just just be happy to have found a great place, with great food and people!

It's always busy. They have limited hours so arrive early. Outdoor dining is pet friendly! The food really is exceptional. It's simple fare. Small plates and pizza. Extensive wine selection is solid and well priced. The staff was notably attentive and courteous. Be aware that they do not want you to linger. We were trying to decide on ordering more food and another glass of wine and within 4 minutes 3 people came to offer either dessert or check. It was clear they wanted the table. Understandable as we had been there almost an hour. The place is very busy on weekends. I will try a week night next time. I needed another 20 minutes to try one more dish and an Italian wine.

We went here for dinner after seeing a play at Shakespeare & Co. since it was one of the places that was open late and had nice outdoor seating. The menu has something for everyone and we really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere! The service was very good as well. We had the patatas bravas and one of the pizzas and both were great, especially the pizza. I hesitated to pay $15 for glass of wine but the beers and food were reasonably priced. Really enjoyed our meal and would definitely visit again.

Baked Mac and cheese was fantastic. The rest of my party got the Chicken which was also fantastic. Then we all split the hot apple crisp. Really enjoyed the whole experience and highly recommend.

Amazing dining experience! The staff was very friendly and attentive, the food is beautifully plated and sensational. We will definitely make this our go to spot in the Berkshires!

My family was in town celebrating a milestone anniversary. Our party of 6 adults and 4 kids, 15 mos-12 yrs dined here on the outside patio. The food was delicious and my dish (wild mushroom polenta) even appeased my toddler! It was a holiday weekend so the restaurant was packed and service was a little slow, but if we didn't have kids with us, we probably wouldn't have noticed. The server and hostess were really friendly and wonderful. If I return to the area, I'll definitely return.

Food was absolutely delicious! Perfect temperature cooked to perfection and best chicken hands down I’ve ever had. steak was tender and also cooked to perfection! Service was amazing and I was extremely impressed with the way the staff went out of their way to make sure that you had a perfect experience! Would definitely recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to come back again.

Me and my wife came down from Dedham and very much enjoyed the entrees. Our waiter was attentive and not over bearing, took care of us. Fun atmosphere and the restaurant is tucked in a fun corner of downtown Stockbridge with a few vintage shops.

Wow wow wow! The food here is indescribably good! Very unassuming little place so the quality of the food is a bit surprising. We’ve tried the lamb chops (incredible), Gorgonzola gnocchi (subtle but very delicious), almond crusted cod, and salmon. We leave satisfied any time we come or get take out. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is very cute and a good alternative to the Red Lion Inn. However, one note of caution on the lobster and crab risotto: while the dish is tasty for a regular cheese and pea risotto, do not expect any measurable amount of shellfish. Four people at our table got this dish, and we were all so disappointed by the lack of shellfish, especially given the $31 price tag. It was actually ridiculous how little there was. We would go back to this restaurant because everything else was good, but we would be careful about what we order.

Full house and they were able to squeeze my girlfriend and I in. Hostess was so lovely, waiter was very efficient and kind. The food was exquisite! My girlfriend had the roasted chicken breast and I had the Berkshire pork chop… the layers of flavor were UNREAL. Without a doubt, highly recommend!!

Such an amazing place under new ownership (congrats Avie) in the heart of Stockbridge. We were warmly welcomed, enjoyed a wonderful meal and a nice selection of local beverages. Shanique made our experience second to none! A must visit and we will be back!

Absolutely incredible. From the hospitality and the quality of the food, Alta continued to exceed all expectations. Our server was attentive and warm, the wine of the week paired perfectly with our meals and the owner stopped by our table to ensure that we were having a lovey experience. Every bite of our food was a masterpiece. Highly recommend. Alta is the place to be.

It was an exceptional meal. I have no notes, no complaints any anything. You can’t go wrong with whatever you choose on the menu. My mom and I were here last year and came to the restaurant and it was really good. Their duck was unbelievable

Absolutely one of the best restaurants we've ever been to. The owner, Aurelien and his crew bring you an amazing culinary experience. Mussels- best sauce ever. Foie gras terrine...🤤. Braised lamb, trout, salmon and the best duck ever cooked. Thank you for your hospitality, kindness, incredible good and suggestions for Paris too!!!

This restaurant is incredible. The food was unbelievable, both the salmon and the cod were cooked perfectly, melt in your mouth delicious. The flavor profiles were Michelin Star-worthy. The service was incredible. Shout out to Tyler S who took care of us. He was attentive even though he was serving many costumers at once. He was helpful with suggestions when we asked, and anticipated our every need. We dined on the (covered) porch on a rainy cold night, the heat lamps and heated seats made us cozy and warm, great ambiance, very comfortable. 5 stars.

Alta's service was some of the best I've experienced in a long time. Hot bread, creative food and servers that seemed to be mind readers. Lovely touch when the chef came to check in as well. The vibe is rustic elegance, so gowns or jeans are both appropriate. Come often.

Simply fantastic experience in Lenox massachusetts. The service was impeccable the food was scrumptious. The wine pairing offered was spot on and the mixed drinks were outstanding. Five stars no questions about it.

We had an excellent anniversary dinner at Alta. Our server Brooke gave great recommendations and was very attentive. We really enjoyed the pulled pork croquette (which is more like an egg roll), the pasta (doesn’t need add on protein), and the duck confit special. The owner stopped by to make sure we were enjoying our meal, and they surprised us with macaroons for our anniversary!

Extremely warm people (owner and servers) and cozy environment. Arrived around 5 and was able to be seated right away. Even though I had made a reservation for later, they still were aware of the dietary restrictions I noted and that we were celebrating a birthday! The food was delicious, a must stop if you’re in the area. Def make a reservation! Note:the porch has heat lamps but is exposed to outside if you make a reservation for the porch.

Alta offers excellent food in subtly decorated rooms by a reasonably trained staff at a cost premium, but we felt the experience justified opening the wallet. The reasonably priced wines offered varied in type and quality for those customers who prefer options, but definitely paired well with the given menu selections. The post dinner greeting by the owner only added to our enjoyable dining experience. Our only gripe was that we were seated next to a large group who allowed their young children to run around and make loud noise, which slightly lessened our experience, but it is what it is. We definitely recommend Alta for those visiting Lenox, MA and prefer quality food.

Eating at Alta was a delight. I went for a birthday dinner with my friend. We shared the quinoa salad and the pork belly appetizer, and then I had the braised pork cheeks. Everything was delicious, and the service was impeccable. When the owner came over to talk to us, my friend mentioned it was my birthday. He returned a few minutes later with two pistachio macarons and a candle for my birthday wish. Pistachio is my favorite flavor, so it felt a bit magical. I can't recommend Alta highly enough.

Absolutely incredible food with a passionate and caring staff to match! I've been here half a dozen times in the last year (every time we come to the Berkshires from Boston!) and have been impressed over and over with the quality of the dishes, service, and the great ambience. I have a severe soy allergy but Alta's menu has very little soy, and I feel very confident in their kitchen's ability to keep me safe. I feel like every time I come the menu is a bit different, but most recently I loved the PEI mussels, the salmon, and the tomato soup. The cocktails are excellent and their wine flights are a great deal and quite delicious as well! The owner is so genuinely kind and accommodating--he goes above and beyond to ensure his guests experiences are great. Overall: Top notch, well-cooked and thoughtful dishes with layers of interesting flavor and texture. Service and ambience are 10/10. The outdoor porch has infrared heaters and heated chairs. We will be back again and again!!

Impeccable service, fantastic meal. Highly recommend the duck breast (medium rare) with caramel sauce, which has apparently been on the menu for the last 13+ years. Good list of cocktails and wine and a short drive away from any of the local hotels/lodging. Definitely do not miss when staying in town, reservations recommended.
