Excellent food and atmosphere! I had the Bbq wrap with baked beans, coke slaw and pickles with fries. Had the brisket wrap with Buffalo sauce. And a side of Gouda Mac and cheese. Everything tasted great. Didn’t have to wait long. Waitresses and owner were nice to talk to. Would recommend and we would come back.

Add a really good experience at this place. I just haven't been in the area. And I was hoping to get some local barbecue and this place didn't disappoint. This place has a lot of character and you can kill a lot of time just by looking at everything. The menu from what I was hearing is new and there were a lot of things that I wanted to try. Service was hospitable and everyone was very friendly. They even have a lot of local businesses advertised right there on the table so you can tell the definition support small business. Really reasonably priced and everything came out in a timely fashion. I'm glad I was able to try out this place if you ever find yourself in town, definitely check it out

This was a great find. All of the staff were so friendly & super attentive. It was a hard decision bc so many things sounded good but we decided on the pulled pork sandwich & the 1/2 rack ribs & weren't disappointed. Everything was fresh & yummy & looked nice on the plate. The sides were equally good: baked beans, loaded potato salad, gouda Mac n cheese, cornbread salad. Every table was full & as we were finishing there were people waiting for tables. Cute place.

Wow! I use to have a favorite BBQ spot and it wasn’t even in this state, until I came to Collins. Ribs fall off the bone delicious, BBQ sauce was top tier. Chicken wing were some of the best I’ve had, and I cook a mean wing. The Catfish was the bombdotcom. The sides were amazing too! Everything was cooked perfectly. I am completely blow away with how excellent everything was. Collins River BBQ = Flavortown

Collins River BBQ was awesome! Service was helpful, friendly and efficient. Ribs were fantastic and the beans were delicious. Had the brisket Cuban as well which was an awesome twist on one of our favorites. Will definitely return when in the area! Can’t forget the pecan pie and caramel pie, both amazing!

First time in McMinnville and the Collins River BBQ was a delightful place for lunch. Has the BLT and waffle fries and sweet tea to wash it down. The owner stopped by and was very welcoming, and would not let us go home without a sample of his berry cobbler. The atmosphere was quirky, eclectic, patriotic, and fun, with lots of interesting items adorning the place.

Decent service, did have to wait a little long to order. The place was practically empty at the time. Had the Trio sample for main course, loaded nachos for appetizer. Loaded nachos were fantastic! The Trio had ribs, pulled pork and brisket with TN baked beans, fries and cornbread. The ribs had smoked flavor and was juicer than the pulled pork and ribs. Pulled pork had a mild moist, smoke flavor but the brisket was missing both. Forgive my honesty but a brisket should be tender, tasty and moist. It should be easily pulled apart and have a light pink color to it. None of that describes what was presented to us. Cornbread, fries and red bbq sauces were great, the TN baked beans were also decent but not a fan of the white BBQ sauce.

First time at Collins River yesterday, lunch and went on a recommendation of our daughter. Let’s just say, we we not disappointed! Lori showed up at our table with full energy and a smile and with a little guidance from her, we landed on a choice. There were so many great options! Food came out fast, Lori was fantastic! The food was SO good! Note: Best potato salad we’ve ever experienced and I’m fairly certain it might be the Worlds Best! We’ll definitely be back! McMinnville, itself, is a hidden treasure! Great shops and wonderful people! Planning to go back to see at all Christmas-time! 🎄

We had the most incredible waitress! The service was unbeatable! The food was excellent! The restaurant is really cute and cozy in a historical building. It was fun to learn that it used to be a drug store back in the day. I highly recommend a visit! Possibly call ahead as I hear that it can be extremely busy.

This place has some of the best barbecue, pulled pork and beef brisket is amazing and their coleslaw and potato salad was so good 😊 also pickles 🥒 were good! and when it came to desserts, blueberry 🫐 cobbler with vanilla ice cream 🍨 was absolutely fantastic!! Friendly service, great atmosphere and spacious interior - this place has all the boxes checked ✅ and we had a blast here, dining with a group after a busy day of exploration of waterfalls and Cumberlands plato

Gondola Restaurant is a family-friendly dining spot in McMinnville that offers delicious food and great service. The restaurant can accommodate large parties, making it perfect for gatherings and celebrations. The staff is attentive and friendly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all guests. While it may not be the ideal choice for a romantic date night, the restaurant offers good value for money with its tasty meals at reasonable prices.
Great food and our waitress was wonderful.
cara divelbiss — Google review
A friend and I ate here last night. I had been to several Gondola restaurants in the area before. So the meal started normal. The waitress introduced herself. My friend asked her what kind of rice they serve. She said she didn't know, that she would have to ask. But instead of going and asking she just stood there. Then I asked her what vegetables come in their sauteed vegetables. She responded with, "they're vegetables." She had NO menu knowledge whatsoever and no intention of finding out the information we had requested. Everytime we asked a question she'd respond with "I think." My friend at one point even asked her to verify and she just stood there. Moving on to the food. I ordered a cheeseburger. It didn't come with a side which was very odd to me but the cheeseburger had good flavor and it was pretty good. My friend ordered chicken with bacon and cheese and it too was very good. It was tender and juicy. Moving on to dessert, I'd ordered cheesecake. When it arrived you could tell it was completely overdone. It was so hard I could smack it with a fork and it stayed in tact. It was the driest cheesecake I have every tasted. Just didn't seem like anyone knew what was going on. Food was good but I probably will stick with the Crossville location.

We sat for several minutes after being seated without anyone bringing menus or taking beverage orders. The house salads were good, with fresh ingredients. Dressing served in plastic containers with lids seemed fast-casual, not a family dining experience. The Lasagna should be avoided! Oven-heated, it was over-baked and slightly charred. It contained absolutely no Ricotta cheese in the filling; it was layered lasagna pasta with meat sauce and Mozzarella cheese, making it very chewy. My wife's pizza looked decent, and it was more than adequate for two people at an individual serving size. We took home a piece of cheesecake (about $5) and a huge slice of carrot cake ($8). With beverages and tip, the bill came to $44 - not a good lunch value (we both ordered from the lunch specials), even though we added desserts. Not likely returning, in spite of the friendly man at the front desk who greeted us.
Dennis Hart — Google review
I got the baked spaghetti and it tasted watered down and I do not believe it was a meat sauce. Husband's steak didn't look so great but he said it tasted good. Best thing was the cheesy bread.
Beverly Mathis — Google review
To be honest, I didn’t have high expectations figuring it’s a typical steak and pizza place you find in most small towns. To my surprise it was very good. Probably not your best spot for a date night, but very family friendly. A good meal at a good price that shouldn’t disappoint you.

We were seated immediately and our server came over quickly then brought our drinks right out. Jamie took our food order and it was no time before they brought our food! Jamie was by far the best server I've had since I moved to McMinnville last year. Very friendly, kept a check on us and was super efficient. The food was delicious! I was very impressed with our dining experience at Gondola this evening.

We went with a large party of about 17. Our waitress was great, food was wonderful, and the dining area and seating allowed our entire party to be able to sit, eat, and visit all together. My husband has a food allergy, and the owners and kitchen staff all stepped up to make sure he had plenty to eat. Would highly recommend!

We really liked the food. Shrimp fettuccine was good and hot and delicious. Best we ever eaten. Cheese bread, salads were delicious. Great service's, our server was knowledgeable and experienced. We will go again and tell our friend's and family. Merry Christmas & a very Happy New Year 2024! Bill and Wanda

Hadn't been in awhile but have no salad bar. I ordered Monterey chicken and rice. The chicken was good but tiny and the rice had peas and carrots in it. Which didn't go with what I ordered and is also Gross 🤮! So I didn't eat the rice. I left just as hungry as I came. Didn't realize Italian and steak restaurants did that never been too one that did. Will never go back! .

Deli
This establishment, Topz Frozen Yogurt & Metro Deli, has garnered much praise for its wide range of offerings. Customers appreciate the affordable prices and convenient serving method for their frozen yogurt. The coffee is highly regarded as well, appealing to both dessert enthusiasts and regular coffee drinkers with its excellent quality and reasonable cost. The deli section offers fresh food options, while the overall atmosphere is inviting and visually pleasing. Furthermore, the staff members are known for their enthusiasm towards their work.
I love everything about this place! The prices are absolutely great for frozen yogurt. No weighing, just pick a size, and pile it on. The coffee is amazing as well. It doesn't matter if you're a consumer of iced dessert flavors or regular folks who like no nonsense joe, the coffee here is fabulous and excellently priced. The deli is fresh, the ambiance is welcoming and beautiful, and the people there really do like their jobs. I feel bad I can only give five stars because this place deserves ten.

Great little deli! They have gluten-free options. The loaded potato salad was awesome! Next door is a really good place to get frozen yogurt. Also. The people are really nice and it's clean. Highly recommend a quick little stop for an afternoon lunch and treat. McMinnville is lucky to have this little gem. We will definitely come back next time we're through town.

I didnt realize that they had coffee!! Great little sandwich shop on one side and an froyo style ice cream bar on the other side. The menu has lots to choose from, the sandwiches have cute names and the coffee is good. It's a solid lunch stop. The staff is friendly, I believe that it's a family run operation.

Unfortunately I didn’t have a great first experience. I read all the reviews and it seemed like it was going to be incredible. I read the menu and was super excited to see the word “Hoagie”. As a native of Philadelphia, I’m always looking for a piece of home here in Tennessee. Well I called and ordered a hoagie and some chips and when I got there it wasn’t ready because they forgot to ask what kinda bread I wanted. That’s no problem, I don’t mind waiting. But they brought the food out 2 minutes later and it was obviously just thrown together. I ordered a cheese hoagie and it came pressed like sad skimpy panini. I definitely did not order a hot sandwich. I absolutely can’t stand hot sandwiches. And especially a skimpy nothing to it sandwich. There was a black hair in the sandwich rapper (I am bald lol). Which I could of ignored if the food was better. Ordered extra mayo, it had not a single drop of mayo on it. It had hardly any toppings on it. Ordered oil and vinegar on it as well and if thy put any on there it was not noticeable. Incredibly dry and inedible sandwich. And it cost 12 bucks for a sandwich, some chips and a water. I don’t mind paying for good food, but this was a really sad excuse for a sandwich. But the place was really cool inside and I would like to try their yogurt, so I will give them another chance

Discovered this place while driving through McMinnville. Lots of yogurt flavor options, even have some that are no sugar added and vegan. I believe there's also some lactose-free ones with the sherbet options. More toppings than I have ever seen anywhere else. They had a great selection of fresh fruit as well. Sold by the cup, not by the weight. There are several different sizes to choose from. Also, if you are an ET fan you'll have to check him out.

The Hot Off The Farm pizza was so hot I think some of my palate melted off. It was seriously good and had some of the hottest peppers I've tasted. Brace yourself for it.

My fiance already gave 5 stars, but we went back and had such an amazing experience that I wanted to give 5 stars as well! We went on the day of my fiance's surprise birthday party while everything was getting set up, and loved the coffee so much that we got a Hemingway sandwich, and thought we went to heaven! Unique and cozy atmosphere, kind and genuine owners, and wonderful music! Whatever y'all have going on, BOTTLE IT! You'll make a fortune!

I was in McMinnville the other day and stopped for lunch at TOPZ Frozen Yogurt & Metro Deli. I got the Bacon on Ranch served on Naan bread…it was very good and the Naan bread really made the sandwich special. While the sandwich was really good, my lunch view was awesome!
Joe LaFerriere — Google review
My biggest concern isn't with the food, it's with how the place is being ran. I completely understand that you were busier than expected due to the Christmas parade, but as the owner, how do you not realize how bad it is and stop taking orders. We waited over 40 minutes before someone came out asking if anyone would like a refund because it was still going to be awhile for the hot chocolate. There comes a point where as the owner, you have to realize you can't keep up. And on top of that, those of us that got a refund didn't even get the full amount. I paid almost $22 after tip for 4 hot chocolates, and the refund I got was $18. I didn't throw a fit because it was not the employees fault that it was such a hot mess. That falls on the ownership, but since he disappeared into the back during the busiest part and just started telling his employees to give a cash refund, not sure why I expected different. I can't imagine running my restaurant the way this was ran yesterday. Take pride in your store and personally come out and apologize and ensure your guests are given the refund amount they should be getting.

Awesome little place for lunch or supper. Sandwiches were delicious, soup (taco) was fantastic, and I'll return to try the pizza. Once you finish your meal, take a stroll into the next room and get your dessert as the frozen yogurt is wonderful. The staff was also extremely friendly.

The breakfast spot, Cumberland Biscuit Company, provides a nostalgic and homely dining experience reminiscent of Grandma's kitchen. The dishes are prepared with exceptional freshness and seasoned expertly. The wait staff is attentive and well-informed about the menu offerings. This establishment is highly recommended for visitors to McMinnville who crave a taste of authentic country cooking. The food is delectable, served in generous portions, and accompanied by fast and friendly service.
OK I’m gonna have to give this place a excellent review. I would absolutely recommend this place based on the atmosphere and food alone. However, the staff made it very personable and were knowledgeable and very very nice. I couldn’t say much better things about this place. But one thing I do want to stress above all was the fact that the food was absolutely delicious and very eclectic. The menu is something to look at and marvel. I am going to be going back there and eating until I eat everything off the entire menu.

Huge portions, great service. Fast and friendly. The Voodoo Pasta was really good! The Pimento cheese and Scotch eggs were also very good.

The first three are beignets that we ordered from the Cumberland Biscuit Company. The last one is what Beignets should look like. From Cafe Du Mond in New Orleans. We are from South Mississippi and I even asked the young lady when we checked out are your beignets always so dark and hard? She said “no, I even said should I bring those out?” But she did bring them out. And we were charged for them. No offer to take them off. She thought it was because they were the end of the day. No!! Even my husband’s chicken was this dark almost burnt. The oil they were cooking with was to hot. My 9 year old said that the blueberry muffins you buy in the little packages taste better than theirs. We brought the beignets home to the dogs. Since we got charged for them. I don’t recommend!! I tried to leave a post on fb. But there was no way too.

The omelette looked a bit rough but tasted good. The fried deviled eggs were not good. They were hard and rubbery, like they had been roasting for a while.

Rustic, country, atmosphere with great food and service. This is a small restaurant with limited seating however worth the wait. The veggie omelet is my favorite breakfast along with the Billy Nelson. For dinner the Voodoo pasta was amazing!

This is a storefront on main street. There is no charge for parking and the townscape is a great experience. I got the O.D.s country breakfast. This included 2 eggs (suited to you), country fried potatoes, choice of meat...I opted for sausage, biscuits and gravy or grits. He ordered eggs Benedict with English muffin and 2 crab cakes, his option was grits. We loved our meals and shared a taste with each other. I had requested eggs over medium but when they came the whites were still slightly liquid. The potatoes were just right as far as seasoning, serving size and tenderness. The sausage at this place is very fresh and very tasty. There were 2whole biscuits that were the best I've ever had. They were slightly risen and not doughy at all. I only needed one so I took the other home for later. The gravy was very good too. His meal was cooked perfectly with amazingly flavored crab cakes on a fresh English muffin. He requested a small side of spinach leaves to compliment. His grits were cooked well and more than he could eat. He loved the coffee so much he bought a pound to take home. Our service was quick and friendly and not intrusive. This place is now going to be one of our favorites. If you try it I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Immersed in an inviting rustic charm, Cumberland Biscuit Company welcomes you into its cozy and lively embrace. As you enter, your senses are awakened by the melodious strumming of banjo tunes and the robust, intoxicating aroma wafting from the sizzling griddle. The welcoming staff exhibit an effervescence that matches the cafe's atmosphere, promptly tending to your needs with an endearing attentiveness. It's the ideal spot for a flavorful quick bite when you're breezing through the town of McMinnville. The coffee of choice here is the CalfKiller Fire Roasted blend, a delicately light brew that, despite its lack of boldness, offers a pleasingly mild and enjoyable sip. The menu is a tribute to hearty southern cuisine, abounding with meaty options of sausage, ham, and bacon. Their fried delicacies, particularly the potatoes, are generously doused in a lip-smacking medley of spices that impart a delightful burst of flavors. Every visit to the Cumberland Biscuit Company is a delightful sojourn into southern hospitality and culinary tradition, making it a sweet and recurrent pitstop whenever you find yourself in McMinnville.

Applebee's Grill + Bar is a popular full-service chain known for its casual atmosphere and hearty American cuisine. Despite being busy, the wait time for seating was reasonable. The food quality was impressive, and the service received high praise from patrons who appreciated the friendly and attentive staff. Visitors to the McMinnville location specifically noted the pleasant dining experience, with compliments for both the waitress and manager. Overall, it's described as a nice place to enjoy good food in a relaxed setting.
Ate out last night with my family; I had a Bourbon Street Mushroom Swiss Burger with Fries, and my family had the Tex-Mex Shrimp Bowl and Riblets with Fries. Food was more expensive than the average resteraunt in town but was worth the price. Our waitress Kimberly T caught that my burger was still pink in the middle before serving it and had the chef cook it longer, and we had fresh fries. A little too expensive for regularly eating out in my opinion; more of a special event thing, but regardless the food was great and the service was phenomenal. Would highly recommend for fine eating in McMinnville.

Every time I eat at this location I have a bad experience. Thought I would give it another chance ,but when our food came out the chicken portion was small and dry. We both got the 2 for $29.00 chicken and shrimp meal. Not only was the chicken small and dry ,but it was burnt on the bottom. We had to wait for other chicken to be cooked and when it came back out it was still super dry and not good. On a positive note our waitress was excellent.

I took my daughter and 2 of my grandchildren to dinner around 9pm on a Thursday night. We ordered my granddaughter the children's Mac & cheese with fries. My grandson ordered the 2 for $25 chicken tenders and fries and made 1 of them a platter to take home to my son-in-law. He ordered cheese sticks for his appetizer. My daughter and I ordered the blackened shrimp with steak, broccoli and loaded mashed potatoes. My daughter added mushrooms on top of her steak. We all ordered a soda to drink. My food was not what I would call hot. My potatoes were actually cold and I had to ask for more. The food did taste good and our steaks were cooked perfectly. The service was great. Our waitress and someone from the kitchen both apologized for the temperature of the food. The atmosphere was okay but the restaurant could have used an update in decor. The bill was $91.19. There were 3 extra charges of $1.99. One for the added mushrooms which I expected but two of the charges were because we had the loaded mashed potatoes which was one of the sides that we could choose from on the menu. The portion of mashed potatoes was small and cold. I don't think we should have had an extra charge for them. There was also a $2 charge for making one of the chicken tenders a platter, which was expected. I felt almost $3 each for drinks was overpriced. I haven't been to Applebee's in a long time and don't expect to be going back anytime soon.

Seated right away which is why I gave them 1star. No menu, no silverware and asked twice. Watched several tables be seated after us and get service yet no one helped us. After 15 min I asked if someone would be helping us and then waited another 10 min for nothing. 4 of us ordered and they bring out 1 of the orders and we waited another 15 min for 2 more plates to come and the food ice cold. Last plate finally came and at least that one was fine. So 2 of us didn’t get to eat. Service horrible and was not even crowded! Do not eat here they have gone down the tubes. Very disappointing.

It took maybe 15 minutes to get seated even with a packed building on a Saturday night. Food was very good and the service was great our waitress (Cant remember her name) was very friendly and kept us topped off on drinks and table uncluttered the whole time we were there. 30mins to get pickup of 1 appetizer platter. Didn't even see that many people inside. Called after waiting about 20mins. The person said they were going to check on the order. Then they just hung up. Food is pitiful and cold.

UPDATE: APPLEBEE'S has been on point lately with no issues at all, so I have decided to update my earlier review. I will increase stars over time as the great service and food continue. The double cheeseburger was terrible. Overcooked, the patties were half-sized, with burned edges and cheese, vegetables barely existed, and food was cold. I've had better $1 burgers from McDonald's, and this was supposed to be a $15 burger with two big patties. #neighborhoodburger #Applebee's #bad #chickenfajitarollup

Had such high expectations for this 17 dollar salad and boy was I wrong!!! I had a pick up order for lunch and they put the dressing all over it which tasted like spicy water and it made the lettuce slimy and gross!! This was a chicken quesadilla salad they put the quesadillas on top of it so they were also wet and soft! Common sense says dressing should be on side!!! It was disgusting!!! Come on Applebees do better!!! Not a 17 dollar salad at all
