This place has all the charm of an Army chow hall. All of their food was so bland. Hopefully, you enjoy pop country, because there's plenty of that. Their interpretations of tartar sauce and cocktail sauce are wild, and they taste terrible. The meats offered at the carving station are dry. Really dry. Both the fried chicken and fried fish lacked seasoning. The salad bar was pretty basic and the dressings were thin and not very tasty. Apparently, it's a popular place for 80+ year olds and people just looking for some cheap food that came off a Sysco truck. The buffet cost roughly $15. Service was average.

The food is Southern and tasty. A great salad bar with much variety. The prime rib is what I go for even when I come back to this part of town being from Raleigh. But the waitress I had this time was either not very experienced or just not feeling very hospitable. So I can't give more stars because of the service that day.

I had lunch and the buffet. There is a variety in salads but I found the meets limited and the warm sides. The fried chicken was very dry. But, the service was excellent. A good thing is that they ate open on Mondays.

The only reason why I didn't give the five stars is because what I wanted was not on the bar. And I'm sure it could be the fact that I don't know the menu by day. But I had gastric bypass surgery a little over a year ago, so when I want something to eat, I tend to only want that thing. So everything I ate was great, but it just wasn't the vegetable soup that I wanted. But everything tastes great.

I liked the fried chicken. Also had some small butter breaded shrimp that was tasty. I also think I had some fried catfish. The food was good for a buffet. The price was very good. The server was very nice. The place is very big inside. The only thing that was a turn-off was the food scraps on the floor. But after watching staff try to clean it up, one realized they did not have the right equipment for the task.

This is a nice little place off Rt 85. The chow is super. There were 3 of us and we all got the buffet. The mashed taters and gravy was awesome. They had Salisbury Steak and meatloaf that just begged for the gravy. I could have drank a gallon of it. They had okra, spinach, broccoli and green beans for all you veggie needs. There was cheese sauce too. There were also mashed sweet potatoes and mac-n-cheese. Sweet potatoes were good. Mac-n-cheese was ok. There was a carving station with roast beef (and gravy), ham, turkey, and fried chicken. The fried chicken was really good. The roast beef was ok. Good flavor but a little dry. Ham and turkey were good. They had various desserts and a salad bar. Salad bar items were fresh and crisp. Service was outstanding. The price was a real delight. Will totally be back.

I love this restaurant. I have only gotten the buffet. The food is delicious and the waitresses are nice. The prices are great. I would go more often if I lived closer. We always make a special trip from Kernersville when we get cravings. I love the carving station, especially the turkey. They also have ham and prime rib. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Country buffet with all the usual fare. Cubed steak fried chicken veggies and beans, full salad bar, fresh carved meats and plenty of desert options. They also offer a full menu if you are not into the buffet. You may even get a glimpse of Richard Petty and his entourage, we have seen him several times over the years.

Our first time here. We came here for some dinner. It has a diner atmosphere. It was not crowded a few people here and there. I ordered the tenderloin dinner, country gravy, green beans, fried pickle chips, a strawberry milkshake, mashed potatoes, toasted garlic bread, and brown gravy. The tenderloin was battered and fried perfectly. It was really good, flavorful, but it should have been a lot thicker, and it was a tad bit dry. The green beans were canned but flavorful. The mashed potatoes and brown gravy were really good. The fried pickles were battered and fried perfectly and were really good. They were a little salty, but most fried pickles are too salty. The toasted garlic bread and the strawberry milkshake were so good. The onion rings were good, and the french fries were ok. The spaghetti was good, but it needed more sauce. Our waitress Telina was great. You pay at the register by the door when you are ready to leave. There were so many things to try on their menu, and they also serve breakfast. I would like to come back one day and try their breakfast. The men's bathroom was clean, had quick hot water, and had paper towels.

I was taken to this place by my mom for breakfast and I wasn't disappointed. The smell when you enter is amazing. The atmosphere feels like a diner from the 1960s. And the food was really good. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak and fries and it was the best Philly cheesesteak I ever had. And my mom gave me some French toast, which it was pretty good.

Traditional American diner with great variety of dishes on the menu. Their daily specials are cheap and good. They have breakfast all day. The service is fantastic and the background music is from the 50s. Great place to have a tasty meal!

Horrible customer service by the wait staff and the manager. Called at 9:28 to see if they are able to take order to go since they are closed at 10:00. They said yes as long as I can be there before 10:00 to pick it up. I told them to give me a minute and I will call right back, the person reminded me again that they closed at 10 and I told her I’m 5 mins away and will call right back. I called back at 9:36 and a different person picked up and told me they can’t take to go order anymore. I told her I’ve just called and the other lady told me I can order as long as I come before 10. This lady said no I can’t and she was mumbling about she was standing beside the phone a few minutes ago but didn’t hear any phone call (implying I was lying about calling a few minutes ago). I told her why the other lady told me that I can order and now she can’t. She said she just asked the manager and the manager said I can’t order because the manager said there’s a cut off time for to go order. I asked her what’s the cut off time is and she said 20 til 10:00. I asked her why I can’t place an order now since it’s only 9:37. So she just hang the phone back to another lady which asked me what I want to order but at this point I was so upset. The new lady told me to calm down and place the order and she will see if the kitchen can make it for me. I own a restaurant myself and we closed at 9:00 and I will take any order whether by phone or walk in up until 8:59 or even at 9:00. At this point I didn’t want to order anymore because they don’t want my business or if they make my food I don’t know what they would do to my food. So I thank you the last lady that I spoke with because at least she was trying to take my order and told her I will take my business somewhere else. In tough times like this, any revenues would be great to a restaurant and I understand that the wait staffs might be overworked but even the manager refused to take my order when I called before the cut off time. That manager clearly didn’t do his/her work and should be fired as he/she was clearly looking out for his/her benefits instead of the restaurant.

This is the best diner I've ever been to in the south. It has a large menu, large portions, fast service, and serves breakfast all day. What more could you want? The tots and bacon were cooked crispy as ordered. If we were local, I'd eat there on the regular.

I just love this place. I had breakfast before flying home to Phoenix. It is like a little dinner. It was crowded, but the wait time was short. Very clean! Incredibly friendly. I had eggs over med, fried potatoes, pancakes, and bacon. I definitely recommend stopping in for a wonderful meal.

I thought the food was to high. Burger chips dring a very small bowl of grits . Was right at $20. 3.50 for 3 ounces of grits didn't seem worth it and 2.99 for tea. No thanks. I can get a better value else where.. I just felt like for a single burger combo and chips and 4 ozs of grits $20. Was way to much. I paid my bill I left a good tip. But I will avoid this place from now on.

I enjoyed my turkey and stuffing dinner. The food came very quickly, and it was all pretty good. The service was excellent. Definitely recommend. There weren't many customers; I don't know why not. My meal only took about as long as a fast food meal, but it was way better.

We had Makensie as our waitress she is amazing so helpful bright and cheery attitude a pleasure to talk to. Our food is amazing I’m writing this review and eating because I couldn’t wait to get the word out to let everyone know this is the place to go for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We will be back again and again can’t wait to come back and try their banana split sundae and everything else they have to offer! The restaurant is so warm and inviting just can’t get enough of this place. So if you are looking for sweet smiles, delicious food and full bellies this is the place to come too!

They need a better check in process we were waiting in line and people woudl come thru the door and call out name for two and they were seated before us when we were there for 15 min waiting to put our name on list. The waitresses at least two were very rude even asking a older gentleman to move out of her way.she stated sir I need you to move. Called us by waving the menus as she walked by and said over there. Menu needs to have what time certain food are available. So their is no confusion. I get it was Saturday but a better flow system for seating and service to be more smoothly. Our waiter was amazing so glad for that but better system needs ro be placed.

This was a happening little diner. Great selection of food on the menu. The staff was friendly and efficient. Our order was correct and all of the food was delicious!! Even the fries were cooked to perfection! I had the grilled chicken sandwich & my husband had the burger. Both were really yummy:)

I really enjoyed the Camerones puerta Vallerta. I would order it again. The perfect amount of cheese sauce, not too much, just perfect for flavor and the marinated shrimp were delicious and perfectly cooked. Our group all had a good evening. The food was very slow coming out because they don't have enough staff it seems. Like almost everywhere these days. It was worth the wait though as we really enjoyed it. I would order the same thing again next time!

Amazing food and fantastic service. We were traveling so had never been here. The menu was so comprehensive, we couldn't decide what to order. We ended up ordering three dishes and shared them. All were great and the guacamole was next level. Please give me a "like" if my review helped.

Service sucked. Of coarse the waitress didn’t care because she was going to get paid either way because they charge gratuity automatically to parties. Usually that’s not a problem however it wasn’t stated on menu nor was it told to us in advance. We express the situation and the manager at the time was just making excuse after excuse. Back to the waitress she was awfully rude we was there for 2.5 hours and it took about and hour of that for her to take our order. Once we got the food it was just warm. Food was decent I guess. Crooked this establishment has grown to be. It was better when they had mariachi band preforming. If you can live with the fact that they will try to take your money without you knowing then go ahead my friend. Awful service but can’t blame them they are busy with three tables in the restaurant per the manager. Pathetic really. Imma look more into the situation.

Had an excellent lunch with my coworkers here! It wasn’t very crowded so we were able to get in and get seated quickly. Our waiter was very polite and knowledgeable about the menu. Our food was prepared timely and deliciously as well! I love the outdoor patio, I can’t wait to visit one evening when the lights are on!

So for starters I ordered the Colorado burrito, I specifically said I would be at the restaurant before 1:30 so it would be ready since I am on lunch break. I arrived at the store and food still wasn’t ready at 1:40. After I did get my food and pay, the meat is dry somehow even though it seemed to be marinated and cooked in some kinda of sweet sauce (which was disgusting) I couldn’t even finish my meal. The chips and salsa aren’t bad but the salsa taste more like tomato soup than salsa. everyone has a different taste but this was not for me, I will not be coming back here.

Was disappointed with this place a couple of years, but I went back last night and it was surprisingly much better! This food was great and generous. Ingredients were fresh. A deal for $10-$12. Staff was friendly an atmosphere was bright. Friday's seem the busiest but Saturday night seems the way to go. Will defiantly return. Returned on 4/30/22 and the menus has changed as well as the food...it was better then the improved meal we had last time! Margaritas are the bomb! they werent greedy with the Tequila. Food seemed more refined...the night we went a gentleman had paid everyones bill in the resturant, so it was all free as well! Thanks for great night out!

Delicious food, great flavors and right seasoning, very appealing to the eyes, excellent decor, good service. We order different dishes and all of them came out hot and at the same time. Sea food was fresh and very tasty. Prices and within the normal range. Not too expensive, and you really get your money's worth. I would definitely come back here next time we are in the area.

Great food! Large portions!! My only critique is that the waitress did not say their name. This will develop a rapport with customers and will exceed expectations rather than asking the usual question "What will you have to drink?" Nevertheless, I will return.

This was my our 1st time eating at Ranchos. Hailey, our server, was the sweetest and didn't skip a beat from the time we got there up to the time we left. I was impressed that you get 3 vegetables and your choice of cornbread or a roll with the entree I chose. I will say that I will return again if I'm in the area. The restaurant was packed but we didn't have to wait long for our table or our food. The servers never let our glass get empty!! Even when we went up to pay for our food, the cashier was very polite. Good service will always have me coming back!!!

Excellent food, EXCELLENT service. I had a pasta dish, spaghetti ravicotta...as you can see...more than generous serving. And yummy! The staff were very attentive. Kept our glasses full and making sure we had everything we wanted.

I had just gotten my tattoo done and was hungry. I want something to eat that was quick and cheap. I don't go to the Archdale or high point area often. I came across this place and decided to try it. Everyone was super friendly the food was delicious. I got the chicken fried steak with candie yams Mac and cheese rice and gravy cornbread and a slice of cheese it . I thought it was going to be expensive it turned out to be 19 bucks plus tip you can't beat that price. I'll definitely be going back soon.

First time there, great service! The greeter and waitresses were absolutely great! The food was very good and I asked for a take out tray before I started to eat. Enough food for two meals and loved the price. I recommend this restaurant to anyone at any age.

This was my first time at this restaurant. I was on my way home to Charlotte NC from Durham NC, exit 111. There was so much food, I had to get a to go container. I ordered the Spaghetti to go. The servers were great working as a team. I has the Shrimp Platter and your choice of 3 sides. The Spaghetti with meatballs looked delicious.

If you love seafood and cheap good quality seafood you need to try this place out. I mean under $15 for a platter is amazing. The food is fresh most of the time except when they make it and close the box for togo it gets soggy. I usually order right there and wait. Awesome staff and awesome food. Love coming here!

I like to eat here and we have been coming here for years. It is clean and the food is good. The food is always consistent. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. I would recommend eating here if you are in the area.

Update 7/22: Returned and all the bad things are worse. All the food I've tried seriously tastes like microwave tv dinners put on a plate. The service was horrible this time: rude server, no refills, etc. We also watched a busboy wipe down a table with a towel he'd used to wipe the floor. Pretty sure that's a health code violation. And get some real butter. Revising down to 2 stars. 7/2021: The service was great and the portions for the price are definitely 5 stars. The main complaint I have is that the flavors are all a little bland and it was obvious that many ingredients were just from cans. For example, I ordered the corn, hoping for some fresh sweet corn, and instead got some cheap canned corn that wasn't very good. The shrimp was great and I'd definitely recommend the combo plate and the banana pudding, I just expect a little more flavor in everything. 4/5

The food and service at Ranchos is great. The servers are very friendly and there's not an extremely long wait foe your food. You get so much food for the price. This image is the combonation seafood platter which included white fish or flounder, deviled crab, popcorn shrimp, fries or baked potato, hush puppies PLUS 2 additional sides of your choice.

Never again ordering from here. My food came late and super cold, and instead of boneless wings that they say they do is just chicken nuggets. And then they lie saying that they came to my apartment and nobody came out when is a lie, i was waiting all the time outside my apartment and nobody came before they actually delivered.

Just ordered and will not do business with them no more, our food boxes were crushed, the cake my husband ordered was melted and the fried mushrooms were cold plus they gave us the wrong dipping sauce and we ordered two cups of ice and only got one. This is the second time this has happened,we are DONE. Our order was $42.00 and it looked like trash when we received it,no more,will go somewhere else from now on. But the driver was very polite that is the only credit I give them is the driver was very nice.

I got the hamburger steak special with fries and side salad. The homemade ranch is delicious. They had packets of A1 sauce. Salad was fresh. Would go there again.

HARD PASS!!! Don't!!! If you order through grub hub or another service. This is twice and the last time. You order a burger with condiments.. nah bro. They toss it in the bag. No cheese on signature burger that's supposed to have it. The onion rings.. what a delicacy. Soggy.. no...sopping wet. Broil in the oven over 10 minutes after soaking up the grease in paper towels to no avail. Bottom line steer clear of this dump. No one even responds to the Google reviews so they don't gaf.

I work at a hotel and ALWAYS recommend this place to guests and I order from here at least once a week. NOT ANYMORE. I asked for chili cheese dogs with slaw….. For starters, as soon as you walk in, you can tell it wasn't very "put together". This was my first time going there so I wanted to try it anyways. We were served coupon papers as menus, the sweet tea tasted very old, the meals didn't come with fries, the burgers were so small that we had a plate of bread left, they had no taste, the bacon was hard to eat, the fries were disgusting. My kids got chicken tenders that looked like Tyson frozen tenders & altogether for the nasty food and service we paid almost $40 for me & 2 kids. I was also charged an additional fee for paying with my card. I'll never go back there again, worst burgers I've ever had.

Only gave 1 star because I had too. Placed order at 6:54 pm was told it would be 30-45 minutes. At 8:07 pm I called and was informed it was on the way that driver had a couple in front of me. Called again at 8:45pm because order was still not delivered and was told they just left to deliver it. Almost 2 full hours waiting on food. This was the first time ordering and will be the last time. You close at 9:30pm at night and your service is extremely poor. 9:15 pm and the food is finally delivered. Believe me you will see me face to face. Spend $55 and they wanna give me a $7 credit. You are the worst restaurant ever. You never tell a customer that they food is late and cold because you are short staffed. That's an excuse for poor service and business.

I haven't been to Dugout in years. My SIL was talking about how much they have changed and how much better everything is. We go with them on a Friday evening, everything is fine. Waitress was great, food was on point. A few weeks later they ask if we want to go again...we go again. The waitress was a different lady of course. She got my BIL's order wrong-no biggie, i traded with him. 2 others in our party got their food about 5 mins or so later. Ok..fine. We go to leave, and pay. 3 specials $8.99 ea. My husband and I each got the stromboli, they don't come with drinks. I got water, he got tea, we both ordered fries, $3.50ea. Our son got, I think the cheeseburger special. Again, $8.99. His did come with drinks, and fries. Almost $54.00!! I said, oh no that isn't right. I asked what he charged us for? They naturally have every excuse possible. I wanted them to clear it, and redo the bill. My son was paying, and was like, let it go mom. But I think if you go here, you need to be mindful of this. I will break it down. 3x$8.99= $26.97, Fries 2x$3.50=$7, 1 tea $1.70, tax on $35.67= $2.50. Total at max $38.17. The $15.83 isn't gonna break us. If it was worth it to them to lose the business, then I guess it was worth it. Will not go back! EVER

The delivery service for dinner was great. Kristen took my order and was friendly and kind. Joey delivered my order and was a gentleman and very helpful. My vegetable stromboli with marinara sauce was delicious.

I've been a regular customer since the restaurant opened. However, I feel that they should be aware the last time I ordered, I got food poisoning from undercooked spaghetti and meatballs. I was immediately sick within two hours, and was sick for two days. Tha quality of their strombolis has lessened also. I only state this in hopes that they are concerned with their customers welfare.

Last night was the second and last time I get ripped off by this restaurant. Paid 78 dollars for my order and the chicken on the sandwich was smaller than a soda can. Wish I could show the pic.

Been there for the 2nd time and again was not disappointed. There are so many awesome choices to make so I asked the waitress to decide for me and she made a great choice. 👍 the Stromboli was out of this world good. I will definitely be back soon.

our waitress was so sweet, but the food was absolutely awful. our appetizers were still frozen, ok no biggie. we got our real food, i got a sub, my boyfriend got a burger and my mom got a chili dog. none of us got close to finishing the food, it was absolutely unbearable. im not one to leave bad reviews, but as soon as we left we all felt VERY sick and our stomachs were torn up. on the way out my boyfriend saw the grill and it was absolutely DISGUSTING. i only left this review so they clean and stop serving inedible food. :(
