Sylvester's Burgers, a branch of a small chain renowned for its unique assortment of burgers, including options like elk and buffalo, is an establishment that SLO County takes great pride in. The Los Osos location serves as the flagship outlet and is adored by locals. Their slogan - Big, Hot, and Juicy - perfectly captures the essence of their mouthwatering offerings. Aside from their delectable burgers, they also boast the finest Chocolate Milkshake in town.
I got the habanero 1/3 pound burger. Added bacon. Awesome. And mint Girl Scout cookie milkshake. It was fabulous. The french fries were too much and put it over the top. I’ll definitely be back

My son's favorite burger joint while going to collage and now he takes his family there. I remembered how good it was and one day while I was driving around Los Osos, my son called me, I asked him if he could guide me to it, and he did. We go almost every time we come to the beach house in Morro Bay. I love the mushroom burger 🤤 and my mom love just the regular burger. Their onion rings are the BEST! I highly recommend it!
Joy Felkins — Google review
It's just an average frozen bland burger with a high price point. The buttery toasted bread was the highlight. Produce was very fresh. I guess we are burger snobs, lol. Staff were upbeat and friendly. Patio needs a good de-webbing and pest service.
The_Ardent ShutterBug — Google review
I always go around a birthday, whether it's mine or someone I know. You get a free burger on your birthday and get to enjoy the company you are with😉. The service is great, the atmosphere is great, I love the gas heaters, the kids like the piano and the chalkboard doors. Nice, casual place to meet up with friends and neighbors.

Just a burger joint!!!! There is nothing special to it. BBQ table seating and bench style seating against the walking hand rails a couple of steps to get into the restaurant front door. There is a ramp from the parking lot, accessible!!!! There is also a seating area on the side of the building out door but more enclosed from the front area. The food was just ok!!!! I had a mushroom burger, sautéed? I'll say fresh out the can, warmed up!!! Fries were good, huge portion. My wife had a super corn dog like #Ol'RickPerry!!!! 🤘🏼 French fries, too. If you're close by, check it out, but we drove 30 mins. It's definitely not worth the trip, FYI!!!! Good luck, FolkZ

Amazing burger, was blown away with how good it was. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My wife had a pineapple shake, and said it was the best she has had in quite a while. Definitely try this place if you are in the area, you won't regret it

The good was delicious and reasonably priced! We even got free t-shirts on the 4th of July! We will definitely go back if we are ever in the area again!

I am beyond shook that we Payed $50 bucks today for 2 bugers that are alone $16-$20 each! And they don’t come with fries which is lame in my opinion! We’re locals ! Used to be way better price and not feel like a total RIPOFF !!! Ordered 1 fry on side and drink and it was that much!!! Ridiculous and not worth it at all anymore !! Check my receipt Do yourself a favor and spend the extra in gas and go to Main St Grill in Cambria and you’ll get bigger better burgers ——- 2 burgers and a HUGE basket of fries and a drink for $25 bucks!!! Such a score and the meat taste better !
Ashlyn Romeri — Google review
We tried to this place because of the awesome reviews and they weren't wrong! The food was hot and delicious and the atmosphere of the restaurant was so cool! Inside was fun with blue walls and pictures everywhere your eye landed! The outside has heaters and plenty of room to sit down, with cool music coming through the speakers. We had chicken, veggies burgers and cheeseburgers and lots of fries. They were all huge and outstanding! They used SPROUTS! Hardly anyone does that anymore. I'd go back just for that. Their fish chunks were substantial and tasty. I don't know what magic they sprinkled on the sweet potato fries, but they were delightful! We will back very soon!
C. Phillips — Google review
Great burgers. Definitely a break from the dull fast food places. Pricing is a little deceptive if you're looking at the website. The website price is for a small burger then they upcharge for bigger patties. Paso Robles closes at 8 during the winter. I get the black and blue and they pile on the blue cheese. Chowder fries had huge chunks of clam. Sylvester's Sauce goes well with everything, don't forget to ask for extra.
Ryan H — Google review
Incredibly delicious burgers! I had the California Burger. It was juicy, and the flavor was on point. Their sweet potato fries are hands down the best I've ever eaten anywhere. The employees were super friendly and bonus points because they had Cali Squeeze on tap. 😉 Just a heads up for Mamas with babies, I didn't see a changing area in the bathroom for my little one, so I did have to change her in the car.
Ellen Hill — Google review
I visited with a friend who lived nearby for two months and I visited this place twice a week. Their sides are slightly above average but their burgers are excellent! Friendly staff, fun atmosphere, and yummy foods. :)
Derek Newman — Google review
On a road trip googled this place and I’m glad I choose it, burgers were on point. First of all it’s in a unassuming neighborhood, walking up you smell the broiler which is a plus. Wife ordered the 1/3 Hana I got the 1/2 Old fashioned with bacon, and Basket of garlic fries. Garlic fries with real garlic, so bomb. I will definitely be coming back, hell I’ll drive straight through from Vegas with no problem for this place. Sylvester’s 100%

La Casita Restaurant is a well-established Mexican eatery that has been operating since 1988. Owned and managed by Martin and Saul, it offers a relaxed and traditional dining experience. Located on 9th Street alongside Wayward Bakery, Kuma, and Hazards, it forms part of a gourmet corner with an array of enticing options for diners. La Casita serves a variety of classic Mexican dishes such as tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and flautas.
I love coming to La Casita. The food is absolutely scrumptious and I enjoy it very much! I would definitely recommend coming here. 👍

The interior is nice and cozy. The food is good AND inexpensive. Don't let the exterior and property diswade you from entering. You can do take-out as well. May 8, 2022 we visited again and I had a tropical meal for a change and so glad I did.

There was a bone in our chicken. A lot of my friends love this place, some moved to a different one and I don't blame them. It's decent in my opinion but I'd pick other places in osos than this for sure. Only go here because someone else requests it.
Mike W — Google review
I really wanted to like it based on all the good reviews. I was pretty disappointed unfortunately. We ordered a chicken burrito, a beef burrito. And an enchilada combo, as well as two root beer floats. All to go. When I walked in I asked for a menu to place a to go order. The host gave me a dirty look and handed me a menu covered in old food and wet salsa. Gross. When I was ready to order, a lady asked what I wanted. I told her my order and without ever looking at me, she wrote it down, said “twenty minutes” and walked away. I went outside and came back in twenty minutes and was given the total, which seemed higher than it should be, but I paid and waited for a printed receipt so I could figure out the discrepancy. I was handed a receipt with nothing but the total and when I asked for one with a breakdown he just pointed to where he wanted me to tip. Eventually I was given a receipt with the breakdown and noticed I was charged a $1 “to go” fee for each meal in my order. This was not ever disclosed to me and seems kind of shady. The food was meh. We couldn’t tell the difference between the unmarked burritos until we finally found a piece of chicken in one. We didn’t ever find the beef in the other. The root beer floats consisted of a tiny scoop of ice cream, covered by an entire cup of ICE and then some root beer poured on top. I have absolutely no idea why anyone would put ice in a root beer float, but we ended up spending $8 for two cups of ice covering inaccessible, inedible freezer burnt ice cream. We were given a straw and nothing else with which to attempt to eat it. My kids were very disappointed as this is a treat they don’t often get. Photo is of the “root beer float”, after my child dug out half the ice with his fingers trying to find the ice cream.

Cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. I loved the cup they brought the soda in, it’s the little things. Great atmosphere, friendly service, delicious food.

Best salsa in California. No joke. Chips are good as well. Try the mexi-chai. Their dishes are traditional, wholesome and of good quality. You'll walk away with a full stomach.
Chris Zotovich — Google review
The atmosphere was more casual than expected. We went on a date for an anniversary, expecting a little more ambiance. It's more the kind of place for jeans. The food was ok, but kind of bland. Disappointing for a special date night but fine for a random casual meal. They did accommodate my dairy allergy as requested. I ordered the Chili Colorado.
Melanie Reynolds — Google review
This is a great Mexican restaurant. First off…their salsa is fire. So good. I always appreciate good chips and salsa. We had them cater an event we had and everything about Las Casitas is great. Chips…check. Beans…check. Taco shell…check. Meat…yeah. It’s a great place. Easy to work with. Great people.
Jon Giesel — Google review
La Casita is our go-to Mexican takeout place here in Los Osos. We exclusively get take out, so I cannot comment on the dine in experience. La Casita has great food at great prices. We like the extensive menu with many options for burritos and fajitas. There is no online ordering system, but the speed in which they answer the phone and make your order makes up for it.
Lyndsey Wiles — Google review
I only write reviews when a place is especially good or especially bad. Unfortunately, this is the latter. It's pretty apparent that zero care is given by the employees here. We were tossed our menus at the table and the person who gave them to us quickly walked away without asking if we wanted water and did not come back for a while. Not to mention the way one employee was rudely and loudly handling a phone order right next to us. Super awkward. Got the smothered burrito and I believe it was Al Pastor. The meat tasted overwhelmingly of cloves, which is a bizarre and jarring flavor when expecting good Mexican food. Did not want to waste food so I forced it down with hot sauce. After we paid, my friend realized that the receipt showed each item 4 dollars more expensive than the menu did. Looking at another review, apparently this is some sort of credit fee? If so, then it should be a flat fee or percentage, not applied per item. This alone makes it clear they are enforcing some arbitrary rule to rob people. Just change your menu prices and be done with it. Obviously I am never coming back, but if you are currently checking to see if you want to come here, my recommendation is a resounding NO

Little Mexican restaurant with big flavors. We had their chili rellenos with rice and beans. Service was excellent. It was a bit noisy, a great place to bring kids. Great value.
Irene Jacobson — Google review
Typical Mexican cantina. Cozy restaurant with a fairly small dining area. Several tables on the patio. Generous proportions. Papa's chili relleno burrito will satisfy any appitite or two can share. They do takeout.
Randy Schuldt — Google review
Incredible hole in the wall staple in Los Osos all these years since I went to Cal Poly from 2013-2016 and discovered it. Wife and I moved back recently and went back for this place and the chips/salsa are still killer. Their prices at extremely fair/reasonable and the enchilada plate is still as good as I remember it 🔥
Brennan Ronald — Google review
Good seafood enchilada. I also love the free chips and salsa. The chips are thin and don't break your teeth. The menu says they make their own chips!
Carol Nale — Google review
Strangest Mexican restaurant I’ve been to. I’m not a fan of the weird shows on the TVs. The food wasn’t very good, the chicken tacos were excessively spicey, it was the most watery sals I’ve ever seen, even the chips were weird, and super thick. I didn’t even bother rating all the food. I left, and went somewhere else.

Classic family mexican food restaurant. Amazing salsa and really good food. It is a must stop for us after hiking Montana de Oro state park when down in the Central Coast.

Bayside Cafe is a waterfront restaurant located on the Los Osos side of the Morro Bay Estuary, offering stunning views of Morro Rock and the pristine estuary habitat. Since its opening in 1986, it has been a popular spot for locals and visitors to enjoy traditional American cuisine with a touch of Mexican favorites.
Enjoyed a sunset meal on the heated patio. Wonderful food and service. I've been several times, and it's always top-notch. Garrett was our server the last few visits. He is awesome and accurate with his work. I had the seafood pasta for my main course and it was very delicious. Everyone loved their meals, and we can't wait to come back.

I'd say I'm more at a 3.75 than a 4. I had the Chicken fajitas, and they were really good! And unique! The sauce all over this dish was more of a sweet spicy (mildly) chili type of sauce. Had a wonderful flavor! The downfall was more about the sides for me. The rice didn't have a good flavor (very bland) and the beans weren't completely cooked. The Guac was good but with the difference in flavor, it didn't compliment the fajitas the same way. Our server was quick and knew what he was doing. Mothers day weekend is busy and they handled the rush very well :) Will be going back to try other things. Will try to update :-)

This cafe is a great place to go for breakfast or lunch. The staff are very nice and the food is great. The service is fast, even when it is fairly crowded. It is very popular, so you might have to wait a little bit before getting in. There are cool views of the water from certain parts of the restaurant and it is located away from too many other buildings.
Lukas Minkevich — Google review
Has been quite a few years since my last visit. They have wonderful food, not very big but they have patio seating. They are known for their clam chowder's which I had last time, my wife had it this time. Burgers are tasty and they have other good selections. Restrooms are towards back parking lot, close to golf course and State Park with RV campsites.
Andrew Landeros — Google review
Fabulous lunch. Excellent clam chowder. Decent wine & beer selection. Reasonable prices. Great view. Inside the State Park. We had the daily fish lunch special which was Cortina sea bass with choice of 2 sides.
Toni F — Google review
The 20min. wait was worth it. I ordered the kids fish and chips - did you know seniors on a budget can order off the kids menu? The portion was more than enough. Tasty, fresh, crispy light batter. Views from inside was lovely of the water.

Thus place was a pleasant find. Drive thru the state park and you end up there. Unassuming place, across from the channel. Good for sunsets, etc. Outside dining or waterside. Try the green chili soup itz 5 stars... add pepper for a small "bite". Yes u can taste the green chilies. Home made tuna sandwich is great. Try 1/2 sandwich and soup, especially. on a Morro Bay cooling fall day. Highly recommended. Try them u won't be disappointed! BONUS - Very reasonable too.

When staying at Morro Bay State Park this is the go-to restaurant in the harbor for dinner. Dog friendly as long as your dog behaves. Excellent food fresh and the service is the best.
Vincent Aguirre — Google review
Only open from 11-3, a few days a week but such delicious food. Even their onion rings were amazing. Corn chowder in sourdough - so good. Green chili enchiladas - fantastic. One of Morro Bay's best.
B. A. Kukuk — Google review
The food was good. Crab cakes, seafood platter and club sandwich came to approximately $60. Plan to wait at least 15 mins to be seated. Will probably visit again.
Amar Balachandran — Google review
I am not a seafood person so I can't comment on the most likely reason people come to this restaurant but they did serve me a nice chicken dish. The staff were all very friendly and the environment is pleasant. By far the most amazing thing though and a reason to come back was the tres leches. It has a zest of orange in it and that took the flavor to a whole new level.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our VRBO host. They were right, the clam chowder was delicious! Best we’ve had in the area by far. Would also recommend the fish tacos and nachos! Overall experience was excellent.

The California chowder is the best! If you have never had it before you have to come here to get it. Outside dining is also a plus. The menu is great and the food just as great. The portions are very good. All desserts made on the premises. Have the boysenberry cobbler- you won’t be disappointed.
Scoch — Google review
A little out of the way from morro bay center but way with it. Amazing shrimp and fish. My wife had the clam chowder in the most amazing sourdough bowl. The patio was great, a little chilly the day we went but they have plenty of heaters to keep you warm. Pet friendly as well.

The recent updates to the menu and restaurant have been well-received, with many praising the quality of the food and friendly staff. Dishes such as the Kook Pizza and Meatballs have been highlighted as favorites, while desserts like the Honey Lavender Cupcakes have also garnered positive feedback. The Italian cuisine is highly recommended, with standout items including Fried Ravioli appetizers, Manicotti in homemade pasta, and Caprese salad.
So happy we decided to come to Hazards for dinner. We loved the comfy feel of this restaurant. Our server was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the garlic focaccia bread that was served after we sat down. The lasagne was absolutely delicious! It was one of the best lasagnes we ever had. We also enjoyed the manicotti and the BBQ chicken pizza. We loved this restaurant and will definitely be back. Thank you, Hazards!

The caprese salad and the pesto peak pizza. Both were fantastic. Will absolutely be going back to eat here again!

First time coming across this place as I'm somewhat new to the area. I was really happy to discover an Italian restaurant in the neighborhood and grabbed some take out, however, my first experience was underwhelming. The breaded ravioli was decent but didn't seem very fresh, probably just microwaved. The pasta was a bit disappointing. It's hard to go wrong with pasta with oil and garlic but this one was bland and not at all tasty. The vegetable mix didn't go well together, maybe because of the overall bland taste and the fact that the dish was cold. The portion was also super small for the price and what it was. The bread was good, so there's that. I thought as I ate it might be a place I would try again, but then my stomach started feeling upset and I had to stop eating my meal. Now it's an hour later and I'm left super hungry. Money down the drain and on top of that I'll have to cook my own meal afterall.
Kristen — Google review
I was raised in an Italian family and my mother and grandmother were both fantastic cooks so I am kind of picky about Italian food. But I have never been disappointed with the food at Jimmy Bumps. Their food is authentic Italian and the sauces aren't too heavy... try the clam linguine with red sauce or the butternut squash ravioli with butter sage sauce. You will be back for more. July 2021: I loved this place but ownership has changed. They served linguini with fresh clams-my favorite for 10 years. It’s no longer on the menu!!??? I’m not getting an explanation from Jimmy and the new staff are useless. I’m rethinking my relationship with this old favorite eating place. I’m taking a star off my previous rating

Really authentic, cozy atmosphere home feel service. The linguine with scallop and shrimps in cream sauce were outstanding. The calzones were ok, if you like the ricotta, mozzarella blend. We had the sausage and olive one and asked to add artichoke hearts, which they did. Pizzas and salads looked really good too. We will go there again.

The sushi restaurant Kuma had great ramen and could have been better with their sushi. The fish was fresh, but the rice could have been more seasoned. Overall, it was a good experience.
Got the spicy miso ramen with pork, broccoli, mushroom, and spinach. It was delightful. My partner got the tonkatsu ramen with pork and the same veggies. We are both fat happy pandas.

Nice little spot. Good ramen and sushi roll combo for 25 dollars plus tax. Food was great both times I have been. Could use a shade cover for the patio or some well placed umbrellas. Friendly staff.

Food was overpriced for mediocre ramen. Handrolls were fresh but not really worth $12. We were overcharged and not offered the happy hour prices. Update: ramen was flavorful this time around and the waitresses were very attentive. An improvement from last visit 2 years ago.

Delicious and well crafted sushi and ramen. They were popping on a rainy Saturday, but we still cozied up to the sushi bar and enjoyed quick friendly service. The Garlic Chip roll rocked my palate with super fresh chunks of yellowtail and albacore topped with crispy golden slice of garlic!!! And masago. My partner finishes a sm bowl of tonkotsu ramen with shoyu egg. The Kamu blend of house tea comes complimentary and is smooth and satisfying on a cold day. We’ll be back!!!

Used to be A.MA.ZING! We have been disappointed the last few times we’ve eaten there. Ramen is great, but sushi Isn’t anything special any more. Quality and size have decreased while prices have remained the same. 🥲 Not bad, just average and was so much more than that a few years ago. Has such a cool location/vibe. I wish the food would keep up.

It's still a shame. Went on a Thursday evening. There was only one other couple at the sushi bar. The chef was extremely welcoming and attentive when I sat down. It took about 15 minutes to place my order. There was only one other server in the place. I gave him my order and the time began. He was extremely busy without a minute to breathe it seemed he was making take out orders as well as trying to be attentive to dining in customers. The couple next to me had asked when they were going to get their food, as it would seem they had been there quite a while. The fish was ok, much better than the last time I went, which was over a year ago. It took close to an hour to get my order, and I never did get the soup. The chef was not only making the food, but also attending the register. The other server was busy with the 15 to 20 people waiting for their take out orders. Shameful that the owner of this restaurant is not staffing it up so that the experience is better. I am sure they are making a killing as their prices are about the same as one would find in a city restaurant. So, bottom line, it will be another year before I go back.

The food is decent, but the quantity is much lesser than expected for the price. Didn’t feel too clean as well, but outside was cute with fire at night.

Always top notch!! We sat at the sushi bar and ordered on the fly. Edamame, Dragon Roll, Wagyu Nigiri, Veggie Tempura Roll all customized with Wagyu on top…the goods just kept coming in! Topped it off with a matcha crème brûlée!

Stopped by because we heard the ramen was pretty darn good, and it was. The jalapeño poppers are a must if you’re into spicy food, they were pretty great. The sushi was also very good, fresh. We will be repeat customers, for sure. Staff was friendly and helpful with the outdoor heating. Cozy, cute and the outside seating is great. 3/1/24 They have redone part of their outdoor seating to include fireplaces and more heaters, which I appreciate because we love sitting outside. We have been going here for the last several years, typically at least once a month, sometimes more, and we absolutely love it if you have not tried the spot, and you were in the area, stop by!

Shame on me for judging a book by it's cover: A bunch of young, tattooed, 20-something punks running a restaurant on a Sunday...? This evening turned out to be, not only one of the best (and least expensive) meals we've had on the Central Coast, but some of the most genuine and friendly service by ALL of the wait staff! Well done, gentlemen! Thank you!
Mister V — Google review
Best sushi I’ve had in probably 3 years. I can’t remember where it was better so it might have been further in the past. Well, you know you’re in California when you ask Julia at the ace hardware where the best restaurant is, and she recommends a sushi spot on a side street. I had the special, roll and a bowl. The crunchy eel and the beef ramen more than filled my tank. If you get the chance, this place is a bright spot to experience. The waitress and chef were super friendly and the outdoor patio was decorated artistically. It had enough quirkiness to be considered modern art. Los Osos is a great little town meaning the bears and Kuma is Japanese for bear. Very Californian indeed. Enjoy!
Level Au Chat — Google review
I don't want to exaggerate, but this may be my favorite restaurant I've ever been to. The food is phenomenal. I have not had one thing from Kuma that I did not absolutely love. The flavors of all their ramen broths, the pork belly fried rice, the appetizers, the rolls and sashimi. Everything is made fresh to order, using extremely high quality ingredients. The service is always great and the location is so cool. The vibes of this place are IMMACULATE. If you're even within an hour drive of this place, make the drive and eat here. Make sure to finish off your meal with the green tea ice cream. It's pretty much the perfect dessert.
Jake Pinedo — Google review
Food is tasty but last time we visited, the food took much longer than usual (despite the restaurant being empty) and we found a hair in the sushi. We brought it up to the server, and they apologized but unfortunately didn’t do anything more. Wish the service was as good as the food!

My first time in the area with a friend who is a local. He highly recommend and we ended up coming here twice this week! Both times had an amazing experience with all different staff members. The food is an 11/10 and they were fantastic at accommodating for allergies. Itchy Dragon roll is fire. Will be back and would 1,000% recommend. Left happy and with full bellies!
