Bakery
Krecek Kakes, LLC in Gordonsville is a long-standing destination for travelers seeking a delightful bakery experience. Visitors are delighted to discover an array of breakfast options, including delectable biscuits and scones. Although the web description mainly highlights pastries like cakes and cupcakes, the lunch sandwiches are equally impressive. The friendly and clean establishment offers freshly brewed coffee that perfectly complements their scrumptious treats.
We've been traveling through gordonsville for years and were so happy to see this shop! We hesitated to go in because we wanted more of a breakfast biscuit/scone choice. The web had a little bit about those types choices but mostly cakes, cupcakes, etc. and lunch sandwiches that looked amazing, but not for 930am. So glad we tried it! Friendly, clean, great fresh coffee, scones, breakfast biscuit choices... yum yum 😋. I'll recommend it to everyone. I'm sure if you're not satisfied they'd definably make it right. Oh, and if you go in and no one's at the counter, they're just behind the counter in the kitchen baking. Just call out 😊. And no, I don't work there. I'm a real customer 😂

Great atmosphere, aesthetically pleasing, delicious drinks, kind staff, & very clean. Not crowded either. Try their pumpkin cupcake with cream cheese icing, it’s amazing.

This was a great place to stop in the morning for sweets and a breakfast sandwich. Good atmosphere and cute lobby area.

Just had an iced coffee and couple of peanut butter fudges, and a lemon bar for the wife. All was really good. Best part was the friendly lady that waited on me. Just seems like a nice place to spend some time enjoying good food and drink.

This cute bakery shop was an absolute delight to visit. Clean and welcoming atmosphere, with delicious pastries. We decided on our last day in Virginia (we’re from Florida), we would have their frappe and breakfast sandwiches after a positive visit the previous day. It was a great decision. Highly recommend. The two ladies at the front are the most energetic, kind, and professional individuals I have ever met. Great experience overall. Wishing absolute success for the business and owners, and also individual success for every single employee that keeps it running. :)

French restaurant
Restaurant Pomme offers an upscale dining experience with a focus on French cuisine and an extensive selection of wines. The cozy setting, complete with a charming patio, sets the stage for an authentic French meal. Founded and run by the Gasparini family, the restaurant has a rich history rooted in traditional French culinary heritage. Despite its slightly formal ambiance, guests can expect warm and attentive service from the owners.
A bit out of the way but worth the trip for a special occasion. It’s a rustic French restaurant in the downtown of Gordonsville. I had the Autumnal salad which had apples, pears, walnuts, blue cheese and mixed lettuce. Then for me entree I had the pork with a mustard sauce and potatoes. They have a nice wine list and excellent desserts as well.

I felt a little under dressed in my jeans and work boots but I was on my way through town and decided to explore the lovely shops on the main street. The steak was good, the gravy delicious and a great sauce for the fries. The micro greens were a nice touch. Decor was lovely and service was good even though I arrived just at the end of lunch and they were getting set up for dinner. Most guests were enjoying a leisurely lunch with a glass of wine and friends. Definitely a good place to do that. I would stop again next time I am passing through.
Kathy Duncan — Google review
The bartender treated us really well. And truly was the best part of the experience, they had some of our favorite wine off menu that they allowed us to purchase. The food is not what it once was. They have transition from a traditional menu over to something that appears to be going in a share plate or tapas kind of theme but they're still using traditional French cuisine for that. It almost $30 the Carpaccio of venison is a bit pricey and it's not exactly the best I've ever had. The escargot is way too salty, they're trying to do a traditional sauce Forest and while it's a good attempt, it needs a different blend of mushrooms and focus more on the mushroom flavor than the salt flavor. This is been our favorite restaurant in the Charlottesville area for some time but will probably give it another try or two before we give up on it, but I do hope that they come back around to their normal menu. Honestly, anybody can throw microgreens and diced hard boiled eggs on a plate.

We have eaten here many times and have always had a wonderful meal! Homme is one of our favorite restaurants. Comfortable atmosphere, good wine and beer selection, and perfect portions.
CB Fischer — Google review
My husband and I went here for a special night out. Had the bone marrow for an appetizer. Duck and lamb for the main course and two lovely desserts. This is a high end place, but so well worth it.

Restaurant Pomme is quaint little French restaurant in the heart of the restored historic district of the town of Gordonsville, with a convenient parking lot right across the street. Excellent food both times I've been. The creme brulee was delicious and the Eggs Benedict was the best I've ever had. Very good service too.
Sandra Elam — Google review
I love the service, the food, the atmosphere, and the owners. Guillaume and his family treat my wife and I like we're the most important people in the restaurant. We will always consider Pomme as the place we go for all our special dinners!

Spectacular! This is an excellent place for a date night. The food was amazing. My wife has issues with gluten, yet almost everything on the menu was acceptable... even some soups.

This place was home away from home! If you want your grandparents southern cooking come here! The staff was friendly and the food was so delicious. Worth the hour drive to get there for me! Didn't go just for that restaurant but the whole town of Gordonsville is adorable! Just remember to go to this restaurant when you're hungry!

1st time here. Visiting son in the area. 52 year old business. The food was fine..typical breakfast and what we were looking for. B&G was fine but nothing special. A little understaffed but the waitress, Christine, worked hard. Love the police patches and obviously a supportive restaurant of the guys/gals that keep us all safe. Very nostalgic feel which is cool. Don’t think you’d get a bad “home cooked” meal here.
Paul Markum — Google review
Amazing good and very pleasant staff. Absolutely loved this place and can't wait for the opportunity to be back in the area to visit here again.
Christa McFalls — Google review
The food was just okay. It wasn’t horrible but wasn’t great either. The food is not homemade. I give it 4 stars for the service. The waitresses were so sweet and helpful and made us feel like family. We would come back just on that alone!

Best restaurant breakfast!! It was amazing! The western omelet was delicious!! Highly recommend this local restaurant.

Food is awesome! We do love eating there. But we have always thought that the place needs updating. Pictures are faded from decades of use. Not much to look at other then the faded pictures. It’s not all the new owner’s fault. She is awesome! The old owners should have updated years ago. Needs a GOOD CLEANING.
Anita Riley — Google review
Great dinning experience. Great food. The friendliest employees.

Was the cutest and happiest place we have been yet ! A little dated but absolutely adorable ! The food was amazing and all the staff was upbeat , friendly and attentive ! Put in my list of favorites ! We will be back !
Tyza Hrdlicka — Google review
The floor was greasy, and the dining area reeked of uncleaned grease filters: the smell smacked you in face as you opened the entrance door. Not to mention the toilets open into the eating area about ten feet away. The place was busy as customers came and left constantly. I had a burger and fries; both were good. Obviously, Inwood is popular locally. They should try a little harder to keep the dining area fresh.
Will Pennington — Google review
The place is a little dated, and like everyone else, they are understaffed, but the did was amazing!!! Real hand cut fries, and juicy fresh burger. Save room for the superb pies!
Sharron Riddle — Google review
I can't recommend this place enough!! The food was wonderful. The portions are big, so bring your appetite. The people are so friendly. A small town atmosphere. Will definitely be stopping by again!

Pizza restaurant
Italian restaurant
Fabio's Pizza in Gordonsville, VA is a cozy Italian restaurant that offers delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere. Despite the initial crowdedness, the experience turned out to be delightful with attentive service and generous portions. The calzone and salad were both incredibly tasty, leaving enough for leftovers. The pizza is particularly noteworthy for its fresh ingredients and ample cheese.
We stumbled onto Fabio’s the last time we vacationed in the area and made it a point to go back this time. We got the Sunrise pizza, which was delicious! It’s grilled chicken with rosemary(I think) and broccoli. We did take out it. When we picked it up, the pizza was fresh out of the oven. We’ll definitely be back!
Maria Roshon — Google review
Arrived at 7:15 and was told it was carry out only bc the dining room was closed even they they didn’t close until 8:30!! Order pizza and came back to pick it up and it wasn’t ready, the lady told us to wait in our car and come back in a little bit even though she allowed a guy stand there waiting on his pizza and talked to her the whole time. Definitely will not be going back, horrible customer service!!
Rachel Streitenberger — Google review
One of the best pizzas I've ever had. Mine was much better than any of the photos in the "reviews", plus the owner is from Naples, Italy so it was definitely authentic. He even gave me several handy travel tips for my forthcoming vacation in Italy. Highly recommended!
m w — Google review
Excellent authentic pizza. The owner was very friendly. We stopped between lunch and dinner when the dinning room was closed and he went above and beyond to accommodate us despite not having any waiter at the time.
Brian Bell — Google review
Words can not express how much I love their food. The cheese steak is fantastic. The pizza is great. Simply the best. I recommend them to everyone. I eat there several times a week since it’s located close to my job and it’s always consistently amazing.
George H — Google review
Can't speak to anything else, but carryout pizza was fine! No complaints!
Kyle Haas — Google review
It was very good! At first, looking at the atmosphere and the price, I thought it was going to be one of those expensive restaurants with measly portions, but I was pleasantly surprised. The portions were very large and definitely worth it. I had enough to eat all I wanted and still bring home leftovers. I would definitely recommend Fabio's to anybody in the area.

Since covid I haven't been able to dine in. However let me tell u the pizza is amazing. Fresh ingredients and plenty cheese. My 1st order was extra cheese...not necessary. Sometimes it's hard to get them to answer the phone for to go orders and they close so early. That's the only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars.
Lynn Brown — Google review
Pizza was soggy and burnt on the bottom. I can tell the extra cheese was just put on top of ingredients. Not sure it just made or was one that was already made. Lettuce on the salad was wilted and brown. Just lettuce and a few pieces of tomato. No cucumber, cheese or croutons. I hadn't been there for a while...won't be back.
Denise Johnson-Campbell — Google review
I got fabios chicken Tenders and a sub. The sub was soggy and the Tenders was a chicken patty cut up and the fries were extremely salty . I like salt on my fried but these were TOO salty I couldnt eat them. For 30$ it's not worth it. You're better off making a trip to Joe's place for cheaper food and better quality.
BECK IO — Google review
Stopped here on the way to Richmond because I had heard good things. I ordered a side of meatballs and a side salad. Had to special order the salad to take off ingredients that I didn't like and was left with lettuce so asked for peppers and cheese instead. My bill came to $17! When asked why I was told I was charged extra for cheese. My bill without the mods should have been $10.75 before tax. When I received my order, my side salad turned out to be huge!! It filled a large take away box. Unfortunately, it didn't have the flavor I was hoping for.
Betty Clayton — Google review
Nice little place. A bit crowded when we got there, but by the time we left, we were the only people in the place. The waitress felt a little tentative, as if maybe she was new? But I don't know why, she did an excellent job! I ordered a calzone, and shared a salad with my wife. And, I kid you not, I had to take the quarters of it home for leftovers!!! Not to mention that it was incredibly tasty! We definitely will be back the next time we get all the way out to this part of the world!
Tom Hill — Google review
Rude customer service and pizza was not great. Crust was soggy/not cooked all the way and all toppings just fell off. Would not recommend this place. Take extra time to drive to Domino's!!
Brittnie Kiel — Google review
Best pizza I've had in a while. No service except to bring your food out but I kind of like that about the experience.
