Angel Fire Resort is a versatile destination offering lodge rooms, condos, and houses along with various amenities such as dining options and a pool. During the summer months, visitors can enjoy pleasant temperatures in the 70s and stunning views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range.
We went to Angel Fire Ski Resort for a family ski trip the week before 2022 Christmas, and it was fantastic. The snow conditions are great for beginners, we love the green run Dream Catcher which is wide and mild slope for first time skiers. The staffs are all very nice and friendly, and the facility are well designed for convenience and high quality. We will definitely come again in the future. For beginners, there might be some icy area if you use lift #2 so be careful there. I believe the experience will be much better after new snow falls, so definitely check the weather and snow conditions before you go!

My winter season will not be complete without touring all the ski resorts around the enchanted circle. Angel Fire (resort) is like home to me. The staff are friendly, runs are well groomed. I just happen to visit last January 20, 2024 when it was not crowded. I had fun. I am already familiar with the place which is safe, with grocery store and a good pizza place. Watch my reels and you tube channel for reference. Cheers
ICEMANJOE — Google review
I had a great time here in early March, despite heavy wind and thin snow coverage for what I'm used to. I never waited in line longer than 2 mins for a lift. The lifts were comfortable and everyone on them was very friendly and happy. The food selection was decent on the slopes and the views were great. And the hill had enough variety of terrain that I didn't get bored at all. I would definitely come back!
Brian Baker — Google review
Bike park was great. Great beginner and intermediate trails. Beautiful scenery. Lift operators were incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed at the lodge. Customer service was great HOWEVER our room was not so great. Our towel rack in the bathroom fell off as soon as we hung the towel. Room was dirty and we had gnats everywhere. We also booked at the lodge not only because of the proximity to the mountain biking trail but also because there was a hot tub. Turned out that there was a part broken on the hot tub so there was no hot tub the weekend that they were there which would have been nice if they would’ve mentioned that on the website or while booking. Will camp next time rather than stay at the lodge was very disappointing.
Lissa Scherer Capen — Google review
The lodge is very dated and run down. 1966 era… No HVAC, poor room service, not many amenities at all except the beautiful location that God created.
Guy Allcorn — Google review
super location room 312 has the best view! great and helpful front desk! rooms outdated, bed was not comfortable, sheets are rough and you will want to bring your own pillows and comforter. fridge and microwave is a plus ....location is worth it alone.

Just wanted to give a big shout out to Angel fire resort. From Shirley in the front office to josh Salazar our guide they were amazing and we had the best time . We are 100% coming back next year . We did a 5 day elk hunt and had many opportunities to take an elk in the end I messed up and missed the biggest bull of my life at 20 yards . anybody wanting to go on a amazing elk hunt . I highly recommend that they come see Josh and Shirley. Thanks again guys !!

This is a spectacular park. There is ONLY ONE downside. They close for weather. Lightning. Wind. Rain. All of it. New Mexico has it's fair share in this region. So go early or stay a couple of days. You won't regret it!
Frank Snyder — Google review
There is a small hill away from the ski slopes, and it was perfect for our grandkids 10 and 4. The slopes are Easy-to-use but are so much fun going down the slopes. We really enjoyed our time at Angel Fire.
Jesus Herrera — Google review
First of all, we had a great time at the slope. Our only negative comment was the single room with balcony by the pool. These rooms needed some serious upgrades start from the bathroom, and second, if you can, at least provide our own microwave would be awesome but instead, we had to shared one single microwave located by the ice machine for the whole third floor. But other than that, greeters at the front were AWESOME!!! they provided great info. about the area and where to park. We will definitely make another visit in the near future..

4/5 for the people 2/5 for the lesson 1/5 for non-refund policies DO NOT recommend beginners lesson here Went to Angel Fire for a ski/snowboard trip with some friends. Since I had effectively zero experience snowboarding I booked a lesson. They have 2 levels of lessons, I booked the lower-level one for complete beginners. Ended up with a broken wrist an hour into the lesson. I understand that there is a waiver and all; makes sense. The problem I have is that the instructor took us down the bunny hill once practicing heel edge. Then, on the second time down the bunny hill, we started practicing toe edge. Half way down, the instructor had us trying to do s-curves (I think the term is "linking"). I feel like that was an unreasonable ramp-up for complete beginners. I feel like, at the very least, we should have practiced single edge a few times down the slope before moving on to linking. As such, I Do Not recommend a beginners lesson here. Maybe they should offer wrist guards with the equipment rental for beginners. Other than that, people were very nice and helpful.
Timothy Hong — Google review
The only complaint was people not watching where they are going while my little one learns. Staff, atmosphere, readiness to help, and overall experience with children's ski school is top notch. I highly recommend children's ski school here! Loved my time in Angel fire and look forward to more trips in the future! Thank you Angel fire 🔥!
Lucas Mccain — Google review
I had a really amazing time at the resort! I loved how long the runs were, how nice the mountain was, and when I was there, it snowed nearly 20", creating the MOST AMAZING POWDER. Also, while I was there the lift lines were short and never were too crowded. I did night skiing once, but only 3 runs are open from 4-7 PM (2 greens, and 1 blue). Overall, I loved the mountain for its wide variety of long runs, remoteness, and overall feel. Lastly, if you are coming from far away, the drive is worth it. (I came from Houston, Texas).
Michael Ng — Google review
This is an awesome place to ski. The shuttles are very helpful and it's all right there at the base of the mountain. Lockers, restrooms, lift tickets, etc. Wish they would do a triple play pass like red river or a better verterans discount, but hey it's an awesome mountain with great views and a variety of challenges for everyone. Seems like the ski lessons are more reasonable here as well so next time I will bring the wife and see if she would want to give it a go.
Brian — Google review
Great resort for all ages! Ski school for my 5 & 10 year old was amazing! I definitely recommend that the younger kids go for more than 1 day. They put trackers on them so you can follow their entire day. The younger kids didn't get as much ski time and was not comfortable on the slopes while the older kiddo did 100 rounds and went straight to the blues on day 2! All of the staff was wonderful with the exception of the manager at the lift ticket booth. She was very rude and disrespectful when there was an issue with our online purchase that i called about IMMEDIATELY after purchasing. I do NOT recommend buying your lift tickets ahead of time. But overall it was a great experience. We will definitely be back!
Lizz Hardowin — Google review
Perfect family friendly resort! Fun for the whole family! Had a lot of greens and all personnel were super helpful! Only down is they need more shopping and food options. Great band all week long!!!

Awesome ski resort. Not crowded, perfect conditions, friendly staff, super convenient shuttle busses, great variety of terrain and trails for all levels. Delicious Mexican food at El Jefe for lunch. A perfect getaway. Thank you for a world class experience!

Wonderful experience here at Angel Fire Resort. Friendly customer service, and extremely accommodating. Will definitely return to try everything else they have to offer!
Jose Sanchez — Google review
The staff is very friendly, I took a ski lesson and the instructor was very friendly and patient with me as I found out pretty early skiing isn’t for me. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to a slow learner. Expect $330 for lesson, lift ticket, and gear( helmet, skis, pole, and boots). I only wish they allowed or had some snow shoeing trails. It would be nice at that price point to at least be able to go up top grab a beer and hang out. Walk around a bit and. See what’s up. This is the only reason for me giving 3 stars.
Russell Munoz — Google review
!!!There was snow everywhere, and the small towns' aura was INCREDIBLE. It was almost surreal because I'm so used to the big city rush. This place is calming yet exciting. We will definitely be returning.

Amazing place to hang out and walk around. Very kid friendly. We met Josh while we were out there and had a great time talking to him. Can’t recommend stopping by here enough when near Angel Falls.

Take a walk. Have a talk. Meet new friends. Fish. Kayak. Oh! And get married! There was a wedding on our last trip around the lake! Beautiful.
Monique Losson — Google review
Stopped in on a whim. Had my fishing gear in the back of my truck, found out it costs $25 to fish...I'm not into fishing that bad. So I just took my doggies for a walk around the lake. Nice setting, nice trail. If you do fish, there is a 4 fish limit, one pole limit, no catch and release. Kids 6 years and younger fish for free.
A Smith — Google review
Gorgeous lake on the outskirts of Angel Fire. Took my 2 small dogs here in early August 2019 and it was a beautiful day with the temperature around low 70's and low humidity with small wind blowing! Fantastic experience!
Tan Tran — Google review
Small lake that offer boats for rental. Nice trails and nice lake.
Kathy Crowe — Google review
Geary little recreational lake. Small and fun for the kids if you're visiting Angel Fire. $22 a day to fish for military. Paddle boats and the rest are around $30/hr.
Christopher Tanner — Google review
It's a nice little fishing lake. Attendant on duty. It has a fish cleaning station and bathrooms on either side of the lake. It's stocked with trout. It was windy the day we went so we only caught one, but it was over 16 inches. It has a nice trail all the way around.
Mike Roberts — Google review
Very pretty lake. Free horse shoe pitch was fun to play. Nice spot for a picnic. Boats to rent, but seemed pricey. Lots of people fishing but saw no catching.

I've visited here long enough ago to have met Dr.Westphall and still make the trip from Taos every now and then. Today was windy and crisply cold and I was the first visitor of the day. I came especially to create a review and to see how the place is doing. It's doing fine by all appearances.

Just outside Angel Fire, this War Memorial is with the stop. Walk around. Read the info. Go into the museum. Stand and feel the peace of the place. Thank the men resting there and every veteran for their sacrifice for all of us.
Sherry Thomas — Google review
From the moment you drive up the hill with flags blowing and lining the road you know you're entering a sacred place. I would encourage everyone to visit this memorial built from a family's loss and love. It's powerful and welcoming. The museum is impactful and educational. So many lives lost.
Ruby Sketchley — Google review
A beautiful place for a tribute to those who have served our country. The gardens and grounds were very well cared for and the 360 degree views were inspiring. There was an Army helicopter on the site along with a chapel and gift shop. There are picnic and other park style benches in the shade if you want to stop and ponder.
Julie Goldammer — Google review
My dad is buried here. It is a new memorial area, but is coming along beautifully. This is a very very nice place as a final resting place; peaceful and serene.
Dame Baasi — Google review
Such a beautiful space. Met a nice couple while we stopped. A lot of construction going on: but it will only make it nicer on our stop next year.

An incredible emotional place. A tribute to not only their son but all who served there. Don't go to New Mexico without coming here and honoring those whongave all

Beautiful building and grounds set on a hilltop with grand views. A fitting place to pay respect to those who fought and died for our freedoms in Viet Nam.
Michael McShane — Google review
What an amazing memorial with an unbelievable back drop. Angel Fire is the perfect place for such an incredible tribute to our Men and Women in uniform. God Bless Them all and their families.
C. Ford — Google review
This was an unexpected stop and find. It has a beautiful park, Chapple, and a very well-done museum. I learned so much while I was here about what our soldiers did and went thur. This is a must stop if you get the chance.
Lu O — Google review
We have been 5-6 times and it is a good place with good exhibits, but it is a hard place for anyone who was a youth during those years and after. It took my husband the Vietnam Army vet who served in the jungle up by the DMZ a couple of trips before he could go in the Chapel and the museum and the films are still hard and he has to take a break and go outside by himself. As hard as it is he has taken most of the Grand kids there so it is never forgotten. He has decided to be buried in the New Mexico state Veterans cemetery just down the hill from the Memorial .
JL Young — Google review
This is a really well done memorial tucked away in a beautiful mountain setting. It's very quiet and peaceful, with lots of places to sit and reflect. There is a very nicely curated museum, a small chapel, an amphitheatre, and personalized bricks lining the walk way with veterans names. Inside the museum, there are a lot of unique sections, like an area about POWs, another feature on the Montagnard people and much more. The drive from Raton is beautiful, through Cimarron Canyon State Park. It is well worth a detour from I-25. The Westphall family has done a truly amazing job with this memorial.

Jo Beliles — Google review
Such an amazing place! The Chapel was heartwarming. The museum has a great display
Wayne Walk Jr — Google review
Such a heart felt place. It was hard to keep a dry eye to think of those that gave there lives for the freedom we enjoy. And for the ones who fight now to keep that freedom. The place was spectacular. There was history from all branchea of the service. A chapel and a place to honor the fallen. Words are not enough to express what this place stands for. You have to go and see it for yourself. Everyone has to see this.
lora Mendiola — Google review
Amazing story of it's development and the earliest memorial for Vietnam Veterans particularly those that paid the ultimate sacrifice. The Chapel is particularly poignant. Clearly the care taken with care of the grounds is a testament to Doc's founding (WWII veteran and father of Vietnam veterans who served inckuding one son who died) of this special place. I could've spent more time in the small, but thoughtful museum adjacent to the memorial. Clearly this is a living memorials as features have recently been added such as a small fountain and outdoor seating bear the chapel as well as use of the property as federal veteran cemetary.

Brewpub
Enchanted Circle Brewing Company is a laid-back taproom offering its own craft beers and classic bar food in a charming rustic setting with the option to dine outdoors. Situated along the scenic Enchanted Circle drive in northern New Mexico, this brewery provides a perfect stop for travelers exploring the area. While it may have had some mixed reviews in the past, recent visits have shown improvements under new ownership, with friendly staff providing great customer service and delicious food and brews.
Surprisingly good food. When you see the name all you think about is beer. I met friends here and the food was spot on. I had the chicken finger basket which comes with fries. The others had burgers which looked tasty. They even have growlers so you can take home some of the beers that are brewed on site. Dont miss this one.
Jerry Moore — Google review
TL; DR: Would really try hard to avoid this place. We spent 9-hours on the road and arrived in Angel Fire just as dinner time was coming around. We traveled with 6-adults and 4-kids. The pizza joints weren’t picking up so we decided to try this brewery…pretty big mistake. First, it’s pretty pricey for what it is. Food was okay (hence the 2-stars), with the exception of the ridiculous chicken sandwich (chicken nuggets on the cheapest order arranged on a bun) and the wildly small ramekin of queso and salsa ($7). See pics for more detail. On top of that, the staff were fairly rude when taking our order over the phone. Seemed to be out off by our calling in and wanting to order food for pickup. Can’t speak to the drinks since we ordered to go, so maybe that is their strong suit?
Chad McCoy — Google review
Would not recommend ever!!Waitress had attitude. Husband had beers and they were okay but my iced tea was old and tasted sour..asked for diet Coke instead and was charged for both. We both had fish and chips = 2 small fish and lots of fries— I have certainly had better. Ketchup and malt vinegar bottles were disgusting like they had never been wiped down. Gross!
Monique Underwood — Google review
There was a solo guitarist that played great oldies rock and roll music it made the stay a bit better than just to go eat and get out. The service was great, but the portion size for the price was a bit off. I got the full size chicken strips, as you see. The small size is only two strips. They do have very good beer, but don't expect a full bar with the different kinds of drinks. They only serve local New Mexico alcohol, beer, wine, and liquor... local. Brewhaus salad with grilled chicken is awesome with the Black Lake Vanilla Porter. Must try you won't regret it. Ask for Brandy she is on top of everything.
Pedro Macias — Google review
Burgers we great! Service was amazing! A couple of the beers were a little weird but nothing to complain on. Great little spot after a day of skiing.

I was sooooo excited to go to Enchanted Brewery in Angel Fire. We frequently visit the Albuquerque location and LOVE the owners and staff.GREATLY disappointed by the service in Angel Fire.... won't be back. I have NEVER had such rude service....the lady obviously hated her job and no intention of making customers happy. We weren't the only ones who walked out....
Kat N — Google review
I rate businesses on the number of dead flies on the window sill and this place ranks high. :-( The service was not good. The onion rings were awful. The beer was not cold. To be fair, the New Mexican burger wasn't bad, but difficult to enjoy with notes above. Next time, hard pass.
Jeff Wegner — Google review
Great little place! We went in for lunch with no wait. Cozy place with a nice beer selection and the food was good. Fish tacos and gyro were both good and everyone at the table really liked the fries. Service was good a very friendly staff. We'll be back.
Brian Adkins — Google review
If you want an angry bartender that hates her job. If you want someone sitting on a laptop that snarls that she has to stop to cook your food.... And hundreds of flys in the dining area. This is your place! At least the beer is lukewarm and mostly out of stock. But the burgers.. you can also buy these in a bag at the local grocery store. Green chili usually means spicy in NM. NOT HERE! Barely noticable. Read the other reviews and skip it. Unless you have a bulldozer business and want to do some charity work. Walk, ski, bike, run! At least the flys were on their game.
Trent S — Google review
Visited this brewery last year during ice fishing and to say the least that experience was far from satisfying. Took a drive to Angel Fire in preparation and excitement for ice fishing again this coming season and heard there are new owners. Decided to take a chance, This was one of the best experiences I have had at any brewery. Friendly staff with great customer service. Food and brew on point!! Will be back during the ice fishing season. 😁😁
Carlos Romero — Google review
Went to check out the brewery and the beer was so disappointing. Two of the four at the table were undrinkable, and all of them were flat. The food seemed microwaved and was nothing special. Not worth the price...look for other options in the area.
Mikayla Strickland — Google review
Burgers and fries were EXCELLENT, and eating outside was lovely. But it was a pretty long wait (they DID warn us), and the website menu and times are inaccurate (check Facebook instead).
Betsy L — Google review
Great service and location, good fried pickles but just okay beer. I don't know if it's the water they use or what but every beer had a distinct taste that I wasn't a fan of. Not bad, just not my favorite.

Biking Trails
Angel Fire Bike Park is an absolute blast! I have been here quite a few times! if you’re a beginner I recommend taking sessions and having the confidence to know that your instructor will teach you everything necessary for you to have a blast! I highly recommend renting a bike due to the terrain, unless you’re into mountain biking and have a bike that can handle the course is an Angel Fire Bike Park created! I recommend taking a come back with extra water, snacks, an action camera because you will regret it if you don’t take an action cam such as a GoPro! And check out the bike park store if you don’t have gloves purchase a pair! If you are looking for adventure this is the place to go!
Tara Rodarte — Google review
Please change the music at the base! We are downhilling not country dancing. The music this year has sucked as have they bike park prices. Walk up ticket is $75 oh wait plus taxes and fees…now the most expensive bike park pass and ticket on the country! I hope you’ve successfully attracted all those rich Texans, now can we please get local again? Reply to response - $75 plus tax, and trestle is way bigger and better managed, plus it has more advanced trails. Nobody (who downhills) comes to AF to ride uphill. Seriously? You’re suggesting I take my downhill bike up a trail?
Jennifer Yurechko — Google review
Angel Fire is as tame or as rowdy as you want to make it! Greens and blues are suitable for beginners because for the most part it is all rollable (including jumps since they are tabletops instead of gaps). Some of their drops are rollable but on the blue lines it is all marked. If there is a possibility that speed will give you air on any section there is a flag to indicate it (on the blacks they don't have those flags).

Great crew working here . These are the true heros, risking there lives to be open just so we can have fun . This park is definitely up at the top of the list 👍of bike parks . Here for three days and never waited in line for more than a minute . Come visit this park , you won't regret it .

Spent the day at Angle Fire making use of the lift, and enjoying the vast selection of downhill mountain bike lines. The staff is friendly and helpful. Information about the trails is plentiful, including recommended progressions, and level of difficulty. It was an unforgettable day. I have never been so sore from going downhill all day (35 miles of downhill)! Even my cheeks hurt from smiling so much. Truly giggle-worty!

Came here for the first time this year and we’ll be going back every year! I’m not sure why we waited so long to come. Our kids are 6&8 and love it... John gave them a few lessons and their skills grew exponentially within just those two lessons. The staff is amazing and super knowledgeable! I can’t recommend them enough!

5 star riding. I've been coming here for years and love it. My last trip up was a little disappointing. The staff didn't seem too happy but by no means was anyone rude, it also felt more like a stuffy country club than a bike park. I'm a big believer that music sets tone and mood and the overly sad country music definitely kills the mood. Usually there's some great rock music on and it really hypes you up. I hadn't been up in a couple years and it seems like maybe management has changed. Overall I still love this bike park, the mood was just a bit of a downer this last trip. Hopefully that's not the new norm for the bike park.

First time downhill rider. Went with a very experienced rider so my review is based strictly on my personal experience. Full rental gear is a must, and the staff was on point! Mountain had many options from beginner to X Game mode (not me lol). Nice little restaurant at the top of you want to take a break and grab a beverage. I did spill twice, and the first aid station at the bottom had me riding in minutes. Highly recommend this bike park

Legends Bar and Grill is a relaxed establishment situated in Angel Fire ski resort. It provides traditional American comfort food, an extensive selection of beverages, and daily specials. Despite some negative ratings, it is conveniently located near the accommodation area and offers exceptional service and delicious cuisine consistently. The pub creates a laid-back atmosphere for patrons to enjoy their meals without having to venture far from their rooms or the parking lot. With its outstanding reputation, Legends Bar and Grill comes highly recommended.
We stayed at the lodge where the restaurant is located, we ate here several nights during our stay and loved the food and the service. We tried something new each time, and liked everything. My favorite was their buffalo wings, my son and husband loved their fish and chips, the cheese dip is also really good. We had the bread pudding for dessert one night and it was amazing! We ate at several restaurants in the are, but this was our favorite. I highly recommended this place!

Food wasn’t worth the price. We had a group of five, all ordered different meals, and no one was happy. The sweet potato fries were covered in syrup to the point you couldn’t eat them. The water tasted like chlorine. The mixed drinks were okay. The waiter was nice and doing the best he could. We didn’t go back during our stay. You’ll have better luck going somewhere else.

From the minute we walked in the resort we were greeted by staff. Our waiter and the manager on duty were fabulous and attentive. The food outstanding. My husband and I split the ravioli with shrimp and the Aspen salad (highly recommend both). The portions large, even splitting we could not finish it all and believe me we wanted to! Chef Paul even came out to say hello. Overall a 10 out of 10 dining experience.

Very strange little restaurant. Expected a much better restaurant inside the resort than this. The staff was very nice and I could tell they were all trying their best. The water tasted chlorinated and the food was sub-par at best.

Prices are great! the wings are huge and give you extra sauce on the side incase you want them extra saucy..like i did ! I ordered them 2xs, fish and chips are amazing!! my husband loved them after trying mine and he doesnt like seafood..The ruben was really good..but the dressing on it might want to be rethought..steer clear of the nachos. maiij nlh all chips...the manager matt immediately made everything right and seemed happy to do it..the broccoli cheese soup comes with 2 awesome garlic bread sticks ( similar to the olive garden) oh and the mac and cheese is really good and creamy..(I hate cafeteria basic mac) oh and the waffles for breakfast!!! wow.. huge crispy perfect. wasn't crazy about my sausage link but asked for the bacon to be crispy for my husband and it was perfect..best place to eat in angelfire in my opinion.

It was our first time here and we were staying in the resort, so this was an easy option for dinner- they open at 4. First night the server was SO helpful! He was friendly and told me what was suggested. Second night the dude hung up on me without giving me my total or a time frame to pick up my togo order. We tried the stuffed jalapeños. I don’t recommend them. The pizza was good. Second night we had another pizza and I tried the chicken fried steak. It was ok. I also tried the fish and chips and again- okay. Prices are high to me for what you get.

El Jefe is a Mexican restaurant situated by the Chile Express Chairlift at the mountain's base. It operates only during the summer and winter seasons and boasts a Fresh Mex menu along with a Mexican-themed bar. Although it lacks a flying piggy, their tacos are priced at $9 each. Unfortunately, there is no available information regarding the taste of their food. The closing time prompts us to depart; however, we decided to give El Jefe another opportunity to impress us.
We enjoyed the burger and Cali burrito. And 2 margaritas of course. One frozen and one on the rocks. Both were great and the frozen one came in a slightly larger glass. The burger and fries were excellent and the smoked brisket burrito was spicy. A little soft from moisture in the brisket, but tasty nevertheless.

For all you Texans, if you are craving Tex-Mex, this is the closest you can get! After a looooong day of snowboarding/skiing, this place hits the spot! The family pack is the easy choice if you have a large crew. The beef fajita taco tasted just like TX! Most importantly, the churros for dessert were phenomenal!!! I would say the churros here were better than several churro spots in TX!!

Great cheese burger (cooked perfectly), good fries, cool outdoor deck. If you're biking or skiing the mountain, El Jefe is a good spot for a quick bite.

Awesome site. Great view. Food was fine, not great, but fine; there are almost no places to eat in Angel Fire during the summer. They are stingey with umbrellas; lots of tables ... few umbrellas! Not great when it's hot as heck. I asked, but they did not have any more.

Food was great!! Drinks were great! No table service as you order at the counter then they bring it out to you. Great for young families wanting an easy exit. Even saw some wildlife from our table.

No flying piggy, sad. One taco $9! Ouch. Sorry don't know what the food tastes like. Closing time gotta go. Ok, gave this place a second chance to redeem themselves. I ordered the Caribbean bowl, and it was pretty darn good. I loved the way the flavors just complimented each other. The staff is very friendly. Good drinks.

Not a bad place to try. The tacos were great my wife really enjoyed. But the burrito was a little dry. We will be back but I think next time I will try a taco or quesadilla. Also when we were there the coke machine wasn’t really working. But I am still giving a five star to support locals.

I wish they were open for dinner, but if you're on the mountain, it's a great stop during or after. I adore their taco salads, and their margaritas do not disappoint. If you're at Angel Fire, it's a must eat.

This used to be the best taco spot, like literally anywhere. We're back for the ski season, and the menu is all jacked up. The best tacos are no longer available. The Breakfast Taco and the Flying Piggy are gone, even the breakfast burrito. The majority of the menu is brisket tacos, burritos, and fajitas. Silly. Now, the staff is amazing and always has been. We own a condo, walking distance to El Jefe, and to say we are disappointed is an understatement. We are here every other weekend in the winter, and plenty in the summer and fall. I suppose we'll have to bring our own Taco supplies and just cook at the condo. That means margs, too. Although a classic marg from El Jefe is hard to pass up. Sad day, celebrating hubby's birthday to find all the unfortunate changes.

Tacos tacos and more tacos. The AL Pastor was my favorite. But there were several tacos on the menu I just didn't have room to try. The bar service was fine but they'd do better if they had full service wait staff. We'd have stayed longer & ordered more if we didn't have to wait in line everytime we wanted more.

Incredible food - probably the best I’ve ever had on the slopes. The el jefe and carne asada burritos were amazing. My girls enjoyed the cheeseburgers and the fries were surprisingly top tier. Long wait and high prices but I that comes with skiing on a holiday weeks. Will be coming back tomorrow!
Todd Cruise — Google review
Varied menu, good drink options, and plenty of seating. Pricing is consistent for an on-mountain restaurant. Also, after the COVID restrictions, they only have 2 tables available inside. Kind of a tough situation...
Joe Rottman — Google review
The wagyu burger was amazing! We got the double patty with cheese and split it and it was the perfect portion with the side of fries! The green chilis added the perfect flavoring to a great burger. The perfect location after leaving the slopes, parking behind the restaurant was convenient. Fireplace was a nice cozy touch and food service was good with easy counter ordering.

If you’re looking for bland food and bad service El Jefe is for you. Came here with the family to ski for the first time and decided to try this place. It was disappointing along with the rest of the food around Angle Fire. As a Texan the “Mexican” “Tex Mex” food was atrocious. Bring your own food to cook!! Skiing is the only good thing to do. -Love from Dallas!

Pizza Stop, a beloved establishment from years past, holds fond memories for many who frequented it with their grandparents. This cherished eatery in Angel Fire remains the ultimate destination for both locals and tourists alike. Their exceptional regular crust stands out as the true star of their menu. It showcases a flawless balance between a crispy exterior and a delightfully soft interior that never fails to impress. A must-try item on their menu is unquestionably their delectable garlic knots, which leave patrons wanting more.
My grandparents would take us to Pizza Stop years and years ago. It was the ONLY place we'd eat out at when we were up there, winter or summer. Now my kids are excited to go there when we're visiting. Pizza Stop is reason enough to go to Angel Fire! Their regular crust is so amazing! Always cooked perfect, it's crispy on the outside and so perfectly soft on the inside. Be sure to get an order or 4 of their garlic knots! You won't be disappointed!

I recently visited Pizza Stop in Angel Fire, NM. Overall, I would rate the experience 3 stars. The food was amazing, but the prices were very high. The crust of the pizza was unfortunately burned, which was a bit of a disappointment. The service was also very rude, which was a bit of a turn off. However, the amazing smells coming from the kitchen were a plus.

Pizza was delicious and very friendly people, I recommend it if you don't mind spending a little extra. be warned though that the menu pictures posted are outdated and the prices have gone up. "The Works" XL ran us about $45. Currently they also only offer take out.

Extremely rude. Evidently they can treat people like dirt because there isn’t a lot of options. Read all the reviews about this business. Walked in after my wife had ordered because I was returning ski equipment and we were the only customers there. I am sure they had a lot of stacked up orders so it was going to take 45 minutes and my wife ordered a bottle beer and sat at a booth to wait. I walk in and sat with her after being warned the staff was EXTREMELY RUDE by customers leaving. I take my mask off and sat at the booth to share the beer. A young man yelled at me to PUT YOUR MASK ON. I said I am drinking a beer, again I'm sitting at a booth. (Mean while he also yelled at other customers walking in. ) He then yelled at me you can't drink that! Confused I said said why not - then he screamed at me I have to see your ID. I completely understand restaurant rules/policy's however the manner in which he stated those policies was inappropriate and not something as a customer I will accept (I am almost 40 years old). The confrontation escalated to the point the young man got in my face (yelled about covid precaution) screaming for me to get out with his arm pointed over my shoulder. Honestly it felt as though he wanted to escalate the whole situation instead acting like an adult running a business. There are a lot of great places in Angel Fire and everyone has been so nice except this place. I didn't read the reviews on how rude this staff was before going. Beware of this place, the pizza might be amazing but the rude owners and over priced pizza is a hard no for me. There is an amazing pizza restaurant by the market place if you are looking for a good place for pizza, salad and dessert.

First time in angel fire and kept smelling the aroma from this place, called for takeout and such a nice person answered (Trinity). The pizza is delicious, love the spices and toppings. We ordered pepperoni/mushroom thin crust and pepperoni regular crust.
CHRISTINA TAYLOR — Google review
The lady who answers the phone is incredibly sweet. However, I paid somewhere around $25 for some warmed up frozen jalapeño poppers and mozz sticks. The XL pizza isn’t even close to worth the money. $33 3-topping that looks like it’s the size of a medium. I realize the inches are on the menu but “XLG” is incredibly deceiving. It’s Angel Fire so the prices are jacked up, of course, but I wouldn’t come back.

It's a cute little joint we like to visit when we come to Angel Fire. Pizza is always hot and fresh. Usually the pizza disappears before anyone can take a photo. The kids meal chicken fingers are good too. Garlic knots are delicious. The pizza we made our own. Two medium pizzas was good for 6 people.

We LOVE Pizza Stop - we live in Texas but visit Angel Fire twice a year and it’s the first place my kids ask to eat. The food is always fantastic, and be sure to try the garlic knots you will not be disappointed

Great pizza! Great crust! Amazing garlic knots!! Ordered pizza ahead of time and picked it up after we returned our ski rentals next door at Ski Tech. 4 stars only because it is a bit over priced. (2 pizzas and an order of garlic knots was $70+.) But it was super convenient to grab dinner to go after a long day on the slopes. And the pizza was good!

Visiting from Texas to ski and this is the best pizza I have ever had. This was the best meal we had the whole time we were in angel fire. Would definitely eat again.

Absolutely amazing pizza, even friendlier staff. You can tell the owners son gives 110%. Always right there to ask if we needed anything. Expensive but well worth it, you can tell the ingredients are good quality. I will be making this my go to! Only critique would be adding some honey for dipping on the table for the thick rolled crust! Would be amazing!!

If I had realized how dirty this place is I would have thought twice about ordering. They wouldn’t answer the phone, and I was not impressed with the rude staff, their business practices, or the cleanliness. The $76 worth of pizza, I struggle to feel I got the experience for what I was charged. Will look for other places to patronage on this trip.

Hands down the best food and atmosphere in this town after a full day of skiing or biking. It’s incredibly rare that we don’t eat here when visiting the area. Most of the time we eat multiple times during our trips. Pizza is some of the best we’ve ever had and the beer and wine is spot on! Kids love any of the pastas too!

Delicious grinders and hot, pasta/ comfort food. The Green Chile Carbonara was good but could have used more green chile for my liking.

Great experience despite reading some less happy reviews. We were greeted within < 5 mins & drink orders taken. Our waitress was quick friendly & welcoming & we ordered both the small Cats Meow salad ( enough for 2) & the caprese pizza. Omg …… so good. Cheese ,olive oil drizzled crust , tomatoes , prosciutto topped with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. It was served hot & tasty galore ! Definitely will be making a return trip

Everything was decent, the dough was just too bready and not crusty enough if that makes sense. Very little structure to the dough, it kinda falls apart as you eat it. Nice topping combos though, the Tuscan was good. Service was great and the space is cool. They can do pretty much everything gluten free which is great since my mom and brother can't have gluten.

Used to be one of our favorite restaurants in town, but the quality of food & service has been steadily declining. We recently ordered the worst pizza we have ever had - the crust was like a saltine cracker without salt with too much tomato sauce on top and a sparse sprinkling of cheese and selected topping. The wait for our to go order was entirely too long as well. Do not recommend.

Stopped by for lunch, and the service was fast. Food was delicious, with a good serving size for the price. My boss devoured the wings and I enjoyed the T Rex pizza and the peanut butter dessert.

The pizza was great no doubt but they will add 20% gratuity to your bill already. We waited for 15-20 min before anyone even came to our table and we got there at 4:30. We only had a 4 top but there is only one waitress for about 12 tables so I am sure she doesn’t want to get stiffed. I get it…but 20% cmon. I would order to go before I would dine in. Pizza was awesome!!

Took a large group here for lunch on Friday. The service was great. We had a great time. Our group at our table of 4 ordered the spinach and artichoke dip . Very yummy. But the star of the whole meal was the fried ravioli (AMAZING). I would go back just for these. Love them. Our supreme pizza was great as well. We will definitely be back next time we are within a 100-mile radius.

We're visiting the area from Houston and wanted to find a good pizza place. When we got there, there was a line almost out the door. Good sign. We got our pizza to go, and that first bite sent me! The hot, fresh ingredients, that cheese pull...<chef's kiss>. They offer a military discount too. I highly recommend!

Eating at this establishment was our very first experience and stop in Angel Fire, ever. We were very disappointed. We drove in 9 hours. I called at 5pm asking what time they close, to.make sure we didn't show up right at closing. The lady told me they close at 8pm. I asked for dine in? She said 7:30, they stop taking orders. We arrived at the restaurant at 7pm. We had 2 families. The lady seating us started to move tables together for us then stopped and said that it wasn't allowed. We sat down at 2 separate tables. She came back to take orders and told us they don't split checks. Our group said, then we will sit at the 2 tables as 2 separate families. She said, no, we can't do that.....should have got up and left then. She was not cordial at all. We ate, split the bill. The food was delicious. While paying ($25 gratuity included), my 7 year old, who had been sitting quietly the whole meal, got up and looked at the bench. The back of the bench is barely held on the wall by 2 leather straps. The back rest fell down on one side. She quickly came over, while my husband was making our son aware to be careful and help put it back in the strap The lady snapped "you can't tough our things in here ok. You can't just be tearing our stuff up!" Let me make this clear, we WILL NOT return to spend a dime in this establishment, might as well a $200 tab! I understand if you have a rowdy crowd and not all tourists are desirable. This was absolutely not the case. The kitchen staff was amazing at getting our food out quickly. The food was delicious! The young girl bringing us drinks was sweet and efficient. The tall woman with dark hair, needs to find a job out of customer service.

Had such a bad experience! We were going to eat in, but the hostess didn't even acknowledge us. When finally addressed, they said no room available but there were clearly several tables open. We opted to order to go. Took 45 min! They got out order wrong and the helpings were tiny!! My adult alfredo chicken was as small as my daughters child spaghetti plate. Don't waste your time here, go someplace else!!

This restaurant is a great find near Angel Fire Resort. After a long day of skiing we felt great about finding a place with some high-quality Pizza and excellent service. We also love the toasted ravioli and wings. It's affordable, family friendly and the choices of toppings and styles are plentiful. I recommend the New Mexican pizza or the chicken alfredo! They had a variety of drink choices and activities for the kids.

Elements at the Country Club offers an exquisite dining experience in a relaxed setting, boasting breathtaking views of Wheeler Peak and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The restaurant features a private dining room suitable for small gatherings, as well as a remarkable wine room housing 1,800 bottles. It is advisable to check ahead for availability. Considering its location in a small town, Elements stands out as an excellent restaurant choice. While the lamb rack's flavor is commendable, some may find it too fatty.
On our last night boarding in Angel Fire, we decided to try Elements. Out of every restaurant we’ve been to, Bill, our server, was by far the best. In fact, not only was he the best server, he made a lasting impression on all 5 of us. It truly made up for our other restaurant experiences at the resort. Not only that, but the food was awesome. I wish we would’ve got more pictures but everyone loved their steaks, salads, and I had the meatloaf, which was 1 of the specials that evening. I highly recommend it here if you’re able to check it out!

We ate supper here the last night of our ski trip to Angel Fire. We always try and eat at one nice restaurant when we go on a family trip. We made reservations and were seated promptly at 5:40. I asked the waiter about gluten free options and he seemed very knowledgeable. I started with a fantastic old fashioned made with a New Mexico bourbon. It was excellent. Our family shared the bbq shrimp for an appetizer. It was a big hit with all. For our entrees, my kids got the French dip, my wife had the salmon, and I opted for the fillet. All the meals were top notch. Could not have been better. We finished with the gf chocolate tort which was excellent, as well. The restaurant itself is situated in the Angel Fire country club. It is a fantastic atmosphere. We recommend 100%. We had a great night out.

Good restaurant considering you are in a small town. The flavor on the lamb rack was good but the lamb had too much fat in the cut. The price is on the high side but again as expected in ski town. Service is attentive. Wish they open every night. (Only wed to sun)

We especially love the lounge. Given the choice that is where you will find us if seats are available. Beautiful views, great menu, fun drinks. The best overall experience in Angel Fire for sure. The main dining room is very good as well, however we find it to be less consistent than the lounge.

Great fine dining in angel Fire. Halibut was excellent as was the fish and chips. House wines were excellent. Nice option for AF. Our server was attentive and helpful

We were blown away with the service, the food and the fab deserts! Matt and AJ were our service team and they went way out of their way to make sure all was perfect. Wine selection was suppuration and we could not be more pleased. In fact we were so happy, we made reservations on August 25 for the same delight!

$20 burgers, $20 salads made with iceberg lettuce, $40 salmon, $60+ steaks and seafood — all that are made with the same ingredients that other low standard restaurants in town use. The food is just not good. Anyone who tells you otherwise doesn’t know good food. Plus, the bartenders are inconsistent at best - you may order two of the same drink and both will taste different. Yes, it’s a small town so high prices are to be expected. But you do not get what you pay for. The “fine dining” aspect is a facade. Usually* the service is great. Management is very friendly and professional, and most of the servers are very attentive and accommodating. But there are definitely some staff that have never worked “fine” dining before and it’s apparent they haven’t had any training. Ie, holding drinks/dishes by the rim with their fingers touching your food, not checking on tables, not upselling (yes, that’s a skill) and are just generally unprofessional, etc. After living in AF full time for 3 years, I admit there are few (no?) other places to spend a nice evening. I’ll give them that - they’ve created an atmosphere that *almost* feels high end. But if you’re looking for quality that is equivalent to what you’re paying — venture through the canyon to Taos.
Austin Kerzner — Google review
With a reservation, seating was quick and easy. However, the experience our group had after being seated was considerably lower than our expectations. Nearly solid uncooked baked potato, and a very rare pork chop that was supposed to be medium. Our food wasn’t served until just 2 hours after being seated, total of 3 plus hours at the table and back to the car. This place seemed to have very good potential to be great, but the service and food presentation timeliness needed some work.
