Beaver Pond Trail is a popular 2km loop in Algonquin, known for its beaver ponds and wildlife sightings. The trail offers views of the ponds and Amikeus Lake, both created by beavers. It features some rugged terrain with ups and downs but is generally easy to navigate. While it can be muddy and slippery at times, the trail is dog-friendly and well-maintained, making it suitable for elderly hikers and kids.
Lovely trail for the whole family. Although beavers are present in the area, we haven’t seen any beavers unfortunately. Enjoyed seeing the dams and lodges though. The trail is quite hilly with a small boardwalk section.
Salma Bakr — Google review
Nice moderate hike and a mirror like pond view with incline and stairs. Not so great for. Fall view .
Shiv — Google review
A very scenic trail. Was a little steep and rocky at times. Make sure to wear proper footwear, I didn’t.
Mike Tazzeo — Google review
A moderate to difficult trail, many up and downs so be physically and mentally prepared. Most app and other online trail info shows less distance whereas the original GPS tracking showed 5.12 kms. A few wildlife around, didn't see the Beaver though but the dam was there so must be asleep. Muddy stretches, slippery at times and many inclined hikes, stairs etc. therefore be prepared and a good hiking shoes is needed. DOG friendly trail, it has to be leashed all the time though. A very natural preserved hiking trail with beautiful views. Parking was easy if not full already.
RV, Ontario — Google review
Great trail but what made it even better is that we had a great encounter with a moose. Trail is rocky, full of tree roots and was wet so I'd recommend good hiking footwear.
Filipe Caiado — Google review
A lovely trail. well maintained & very easy to walk . Good for elderly and kids. There are stairs. It is a loop trail if one thinks they cannot walk the whole trails can always walk back though. We walked in the afternoon. There was no bug. We saw the beaver dams but we didn't see any beaver.
A. L. — Google review
Lovely scenic trail with a moderate amount of incline and decline. The view at the top of the cliff was beautiful. Our dog very much enjoyed all the frog sounds throughout the adventure.
Gabriel Keane — Google review
Hands down one of our favourite trails! Has a good variety of elevation and lots of different sights. Got some of our best photos here in early June. Our dog also enjoyed it very much. Took us about an hour to complete the trail at a fairly moderate pace with a few rest breaks.
Ashley A — Google review
Beautiful hike with various elevations through an idyllic part of the park.
Lee Lee (LeeM) — Google review
This is a great walk in the forest and beside a large pond (it more like a lake to be honest) It has a lot of elevation gains and losses so DO NOT BRING A STROLLER as this is not a rollable trail it is hiking ONLY (Ask me how I know). Smaller kids (5 and under) could have issues walking the trail as its rocky and lots of roots to trip, there is a lot of climbing up and down large stairs.
Steve Main — Google review
An exhilarating trail in Algonquin where every turn has a different view. During the afternoon is when we went and were greeted by many different animals. The name holds true as we were able to see two beavers during our hike. The trail was about 1 hour long but has so many different avenues it explores that it feel like multiple trails at once. An avid hiker, I would say this is definitely one of my favourite trails to ever go on.
Julian Vaca — Google review
Lovely 2 km trail loop with nice lookouts to the pond and a short boardwalk across the pond. There are benches throughout the trail and a large parking lot at the trailhead. We saw a couple of beaver dams but no beavers unfortunately. We did see frogs and ducks though!

Located at kilometer 42.5 on Highway 60, the Spruce Bog Boardwalk Trail is a family-friendly 1.5-kilometer loop that offers an easy and enjoyable walk through a spruce forest and over a bog on a boardwalk. The trail features numbered posts and provides plenty of photo opportunities, including views of the giant moose signs along Highway 60.
Located within the Algonquin Park this short trail doesn't disappoint, easy and accessible to all ages, pet friendly,it has beautiful views, best viewed during sunrises and sunsets, the colors of the forest and the Bog will be vibrant and intense. Wear proper footwear and bring mosquito 🦟 repellent and water 💦.
Angelo Garcia — Google review
Short and easy, but absolutely great trail in Algonquin. Mix of boardwalks and packed dirt. Lots of good photo opportunities, including a little offshoot of the main trail that takes you out to highway 60 right by one of the giant moose signs. Probably mosquito-infested during the right seasons, but we were ahead of that. Parking lot has plenty of room including 2-3 larger spots that could hold a vehicle with a shorter trailer. There are also washrooms in the parking lot.
Adam Butler — Google review
The Spruce Bog Boardwalk was different from other hiking trails in Algonquin. Other Trails have a lot of climbing but this is all on one level close to the water. For those with difficulty climbing, this is a nice walk. I wouldn't pass up the chance to enjoy this particular Trail. I do recommend it.
Phillip Rutledge — Google review
Nice little walk through the woods! Mostly wheelchair accessible, although part of the boardwalk is a bit wonky. Overall it’s a great place for a peaceful walk in nature. Lots of birds and different shrubs and lichens.
Melissa Freeman — Google review
Beautiful trail, easy, especially to visit with kids and grandparents. Stunning scenery all around. Must visit!
Carol Olympus — Google review
Great loop trail with lots of neat stuff to see. Quintessential spruce bog habitat that is very prevalent throughout the park. Black spruce, mix of boreal birds, and gorgeous boardwalks in the summer. Looks like they will be replacing the majority of the boardwalk in the spring/summer of 2023.
Patrick Jackson — Google review
its a wonderful place to enjoy the nature, The board walk trail go through lake and forest, I saw some birds, squirrels, chipmunks roaming around. Trail is easy for all kind people to have short hike and walk.
Kevin Roger — Google review
Easy and family, pet friendly trail in the park. Half the trail is paved with a boardwalk so it's super easy to walk on or go with a kid or elderly stroller. You will get to see bogs and the habitat in that environment. Luckily I spotted a rainbow end when I went and it was peaceful walking along with birds chirping on one side and a calm breeze coming from the other end. Recommend checking this trail on your visit to the Algonquin park!!!
VJ VEL — Google review
Lovely easy trail that's goes through 2 bogs and bits with varying levels of maturity. Do grab the booklet at the start and read through it, it's packed with information but very useful and fun to know. (Mostly geology of the place, how it formed, the differences in the different areas and the flora and fauna)
Tj H — Google review
Beautiful, easy walk. Highly recommended for any age.
Mike Tazzeo — Google review
A relatively short wheelchair accessible trail for all ages. It’s beautiful in its own ways dotted with some maple colours but dominated by spruce and green. We saw birds, squirrels, chipmunks roaming around. As some already noted, there’s a section that was a bit wet and we did not notice till one got her socks and shoes wet. I give it 4.5*, would have rated 5* if not for the unpleasant smell (not sure what it was) in the beginning section of the trail. It’s great at this time of year, no mosquitoes and nice easy stroll in late afternoon after the Visitor Centre stop.
YY Chiu — Google review
Love this trail. For families with kids, this is probably the best trail of all in Algonquin. The terrain is very easy. It's not long but not too short or boring. The scenery is beautiful. Any trail with boardwalk is always fun for both kids and adults alike. The coolest thing is the wildlife. Red squirrels, chipmunks just come to you even if you don't have their food. They're like kids, as long as you're willing to play, they'll come to you. See my photos 🙂. For birds, you'll need some feed and they'll come eat it on your hands. Lovely! 🥰
Derek Le — Google review
Beautiful, easy walk that is really enjoyable. Easy for beginners! Lots of squirrels and chipmunks to be seen. Some areas of the boardwalk were quite wet when you step on some parts over the marsh because the water is so high, so make sure have appropriate footwear! Our dogs loved it too! It's perfect for on leash pups.
Leesa M — Google review
Nice easy hike if you don't want to climb hills. Beautiful views. Chickadees will eat from your hand. Unfortunately I didn't see any other animals on my hike.

Museum with a 1.3-kilometre trail featuring outdoor exhibits on logging history.
A must visit if you visiting Algonquin park for the first time. The show is wonderful when open. It was all closed currently due to the covid restrictions. A easy hike for all levels. We have seen this place in every season and always a different experience. Lots of bird spotting.
Anwaar M — Google review
The logging museum trail is a short, easy trail near the east gate of Algonquin Park. The trail has replicas of logging camps from various time periods. You can go inside the buildings and get a closer look at what life was like back then. There’s also machines, trucks and a locomotive that come from our logging past. There’s period information posts, as well as an interpretative guide book. The logging museum trail is also a great spot for wildlife viewing, especially birds in the winter months. It’s a great place to spend an hour or so.
Scott Desjardins — Google review
Very interesting self-directed tour, which makes real, the way life was for the first loggers, and how things changed as machinery came into use. Truly amazing to see what humans and horses were able to accomplish. Still a bit sad that so many of the old trees are still being logged, as well as a fairly large area of the park. However, at least the forestry industry is forced to look at their practices from a more ecological perspective.
Kim Allaby — Google review
Enjoyed walking through the beautiful and scenic trail. The store has great collection of souvenirs, cards and books. They show informative film on the history of logging in Algonquin.
Baber Khan — Google review
Neat experience to learn about local logging history on a trail. Visitor center was not open but you can still do the trail. Trail is mostly wheelchair friendly with a few hills. Peaceful and serene setting. Great place for kids.
Melissa Freeman — Google review
Excellent outdoor museum. You can stop into the visitor center and donate an optional admission, or you can begin walking along the trail directly. You'll find fascinating structures depicting the lifestyle of the loggers from many decades past, and many surviving relics from the place and period. You'll learn things you wouldn't have expected to learn, and enjoy the natural beauty of Algonquin Park the entire time.
Kiefer Newton — Google review
Your journey starts with a 14 minute video to give you an overview of the walking tour that you are about to embark on. The exhibits are really well constructed. True to the periods that they are trying to reflect. Some nice history, and the process of forest management is very simply and clearly explained along the way. Great family outing.
Tom Moore — Google review
A pleasant 1.2 km trail with outdoor exhibits relating to the lives of the early loggers. Informative and well organized. Enjoyed this educational walk!
Kirk Taylor — Google review
Very nice place to visit and explore. Easy 1.5 km trail. Nice to discover about the old days!! Memorial benches alpng the way if you want to rest for a minute.
Sylvyie Roy — Google review
I liked the museum for following reason 1. Well structures and organized 2. The trail is stroller friendly and is about 1.5 km so can easily take with kids and elderly persons. 3. They give video demo and also a booklet that you can use to read as you go to specific spots to read about them. 4. Very Informative and it's free !! Overall excellent place to visit if you are in Algonquin park.

One of the best attractions on Highway60. I recently visited the Logging Museum in Algonquin along with my son, and I must say it was a unique experience. The museum provides a comprehensive look into the history of logging in the region. The exhibits were well-curated, on a trail and I learned a lot about the industry's evolution. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, which added to the overall experience. It's a great place to explore and gain insight into the past. I appreciate the effort put into preserving this important part of our history. I highly recommend visiting if you have an interest in history or just want to learn something new. Keep up the good work, Logging Museum! I'll soon return next time with my parents
Sushil Gaur — Google review
Visitors can explore reconstructed logging camps, see antique logging equipment, and learn about the challenges and innovations in this industry. The museum is also set against a beautiful natural backdrop, making it an ideal destination for those interested in history and the outdoors. Overall, the Algonquin Logging Museum is a unique and educational experience that helps preserve and share the history of logging in this picturesque wilderness area. It's a must-visit for history enthusiasts and those looking to connect with the heritage of Algonquin Park. Definitely, your trip to Algonquin is not completed, without visiting the logging museum.
Mukarram Ali — Google review
It starts from showcasing the history of logging and how it evolved over the time here at Algonquin. Next you get to know the same history through movie as well which then brings you back to the history of logging where you can see the real wood structures of how loggers used to live and work there. They had around 10 structures and each step you get to see how it evolved till date. We find it very interesting and learned the history. Washroom facilities was good and clean. We do recommend this museum visit. August 2024 Thank you
Vidhi Pitroda — Google review
I hadn't been to this museum in many years. Brought my kids and they loved it. It's very interactive with many buildings to walk in and experience history. The mechanisms are particularly impressive they used for logging, and the old steam locomotive and logging boat are both amazing. You can walk all through the boat from top to engine room, very interesting. The building and short introduction video are a good place to start before touring the trail. Great for kids and interesting for parents.
Erich B — Google review
Full disclosure. I have traversed this museum/hike since I was 8. That was 53 years ago... And, I still go! We go when we are winter camping and this was the first time in a long while that the museum was open. Well with your time to find out how logging in Algonquin built much of Europe and the harsh conditions that the loggers endured. It's very well done... And even if you want to skip the museum parts, it's a lovely 1Km walk. No hills and very flat. I would say it is wheel chair friendly, but don't quote me on that..
David Whitehouse — Google review
Wasn't sure what to expect going in. Myself and my sons were blown away by this place. Just awesome, a must when you're in the park! This might sound a little crazy but the three of us possibly witnessed paranormal activity while on the old steam boat. I'm curious if the staff has seen or heard from visitors of any possible things in the past. Staff, feel free to reach out if you want.

One of the most scenic and relaxing campgrounds you'll find in Ontario. Having camped at pretty much all the major provincial parks around, I can honestly say there's very few like it. You won't regret it. There's so much to do you'll need a week to see it all (locally around the park you camp at) and many more visits to see most of the park. The visitor centre itself was very well done. If you ever wonder where your money goes, this is part of it aside from conservation efforts. It was great to read about the history of the area and see the displays. You'll have to experience it for yourself. (Free too)

Visited in early spring (20 april). Many trails were closed. Only able to venture into some areas of Mizzy Lake. Nonetheless was fun trudging along icy paths and also to be able to say we explored Canada's oldest Provincial park. We drove for 3hours from Toronto and drove back. Planning a night in the area would be probably be a good idea. But again it is off season, so many places are likely closed.

Really great stop on the Highway 60 corridor! The exhibit has some great dioramas and some great information on the wildlife and ecology of the park as a whole. There is also a good section on the history of the park, from use by Natives to logging to today that was fascinating. There is a self serve cafe that also is a great place to stop and eat/heat your own food which was really convenient. The small Park Store had great staff and some really good books and other things to help in the park or remember a trip to the park by. Outside there is a small walk up to a mock fire tower with some more information. Overall it was a worthwhile stop for resting, replenishing, learning, and using the washroom before heading out to hike again!

The visiting centre have wifi and cafeteria. Wonderful history display and they have a theatre to show a small videoclips. They also have a activities booklet for kids to read and learn during their visit at the park.

Best part about my visit was the camping. I stayed at Brent campground and this place is for true camper. Stay at least for 2 nights. Just go to the lake at the midnight and there is a surprise waiting for you.!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Visitor Centre in Algonquin Park! The displays were high quality, interactive, informative, and the facts shared were really interesting! We enjoyed the cafe area where we could warm up our lunch we brought with us and you could get a hot beverage for $2.50, reasonable! The views out the back were beautiful and the movie showing in the theatre was excellent...learned alot! Absolutely recommend you stop in as you drive through the park, lots to take part in. The store was excellent too! Loved the iron on patches offered and the maple cookies were stellar! Enjoy it all!

Brewery
The Huntsville Brewhouse is a small batch brewing facility that opened in downtown Huntsville in May of 2018. The brewpub serves locally inspired comfort food and pub staples with craft beer flights on tap.
Stopped off at this Brewhouse for a quick bite while passing through, and was pleasantly surprised to see the options on the menu! Service was great, and the food was delicious. My wife had the Brie which was warmed in a small pan with Walnuts and cranberries. I ate their chicken sandwich which was very tasty and left me full. Highly recommend this spot for beer lovers, and foodies alike.

Ordered a flight of beer (really enjoyed the watermelon sour and tropical twister), along with the mac and cheese (added smoked brisket), and fish tacos (one order came with 2 tacos). The food were all delicious! Spacious and clean place. Prompt service.

Amazing little pub in the heart of Huntsville. Our food was superb which included an excellently spiced and moist Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The blackened trout tacos were very fresh and full of flavour. And the dessert was outstanding. A peach and cranberry cobbler with incredible made in-house ice cream. Beer pours were crisp and refreshing. But what made the whole dinner very special was the service. Our server Greg was an absolute gem. Attentive, knowledgable and respectful. Made the whole experience a real 10/10. Will definitely be back again in the future.

The best service I’ve had in Huntsville so far. I literally am still at the table eating but the sweet potato fries and sliders are to DIE FOR!!! Bruce took care of us and he was so helpful as we were stuck between two beers of choice. Go here. Just do it. And get the sweet potato fries!!!

Such a cozy little spot and popular for good reason. Make a reservation in advance if you can. The service is quick and warm. We loved our server's beer and food recommendations. I especially enjoyed their onion rings and both our burgers (chicken and brisket).

Food overall was top notch. Probably one of the best beef brisket sandwich I've ever had and I've tried a lot of them. The flight of beers was amazingly refreshing. The staff was very friendly and informative. Definitely a must go restaurant in Huntsville.

Great restaurant. They have a great selection of locally brewed beers and good, upscaled pub food. Our server was really great, very friendly and attentive. It was very busy and she did her best to make sure everyone was taken care of. All the food was hot and most importantly tasted great. If you are in the area I'd recommend a stop here.

Absolutely amazing restaurant, beer selection incredible and so was the food went back twice in two days. Service was friendly and knowledgeable about the beers and the kitchen rocked it with the sliders and fish tacos. Highly recommend stopping for a drink and meal here .

Huntsville Brewhouse is a must visit when visiting Huntsville! The restaurant is charming & gives you a lodge type feel. Food was excellent. We ordered the Trout & Artichoke dip, Mac & Cheese & the Chicken Sandwich. All were delicious and would definitely order again. The beer was also great and you can get flights so you can try a bunch. They also have a non-alcoholic beer that tastes great! Our server Greg provided great service & even suggested some other sights to visit in the area. Back again on our yearly Family Day Huntsville vacation! Murray was a great server and had fun with our table. Delicious food and beer as we expected it’d be. This time had the artichoke hearts, trout tacos and brisket tacos!

Great spot with fabulous food! My son brought us here as he's a huge fan and has enjoyed everything he's tried so far. I had the brisket sandwich and found it was a good portion, not overboard. Hubby had a brisket chili, which I sampled and loved this unique combo. The service was friendly with just the right amount of attention. Looking forward to trying more items!

Last night, based on the suggestion of our server, who was excellent, recommended we may wish to try a new dinner option, Spaghetti with Venison meatballs. We both ordered this new menu item. Amazing. Exceeded expectations. Went back to give the Chef a huge thumbs up. The LOB beer was, as usual, fantastic. Thank you for delivering a wonderful meal and experience. We have been there many times and will most certainly be back…

We were so hungry on our way back from Toronto so we stopped to look for something. We were really looking for salad or veggies or something good as we ate not as great this weekend and really needed it. We walked up the street and found most things were closed on Sunday but almost walked past this little bar and decided to go in. We got the Double BLT with a salad and a portobello bowl, they were both amazing. We really weren’t expecting that much but the price for both and the taste was so good! I strongly recommend!

Stopped into the place for a bite to eat. Absolutely fantastic selection of Lake of Bays beers and spirits. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was phenomenal. I highly recommend one of the poutine dishes. And, to top everything, they even had some awesome merch, including this pup's new favourite toy!

We stopped in for a quick pint and a bite eat. The service was great, staff was friendly and courteous. I have had LB beer before but have never been to this spot. It was surprisingly busier than I would have imagined for lunch time on a Tuesday. The food was good, and the beer was tasty. We will be back next time we are in Huntsville.

The Mill on Main is a local bar and grill in Huntsville that features live music on the weekends. The restaurant prepares all its food from scratch using the best ingredients, and is well known for its pizza.
I absolutely adore this restaurant! The food they serve is beyond amazing. The pizza I had was perfection itself, with a delightful combination of flavors that left me wanting more. And let's not forget about the burger, it was absolutely incredible! The quality of ingredients and the skill in preparation really shines through. Zaven is very helpful and friendly, he knows his job well. I cannot recommend this place enough; it's a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable culinary experience.Zaven

Had the fish and chips and the blueberry bread pudding. The fish was tender and a good size. I didn't like the coleslaw being placed on the lettuce. Made it hard to eat without getting lettuce mixed in. The poutine was good but the fact that they charged 5 dollars to add cheese and gravy to the small side of chips is just crazy. The bread pudding wasn't bad, it was missing something though. Maybe vanilla or more cinnamon. It wasn't very sweet. The server was very nice.

Lovely experience celebrating Easter lunch at The Mill on Main. Our server was sweet and kind. Unfortunately we missed her name so thank you for the great service! Sat at the heated patio with the beautiful view of the nearby river. I got the Mac&Cheese with crispy chicken & garlic bread it was delicious! My bf got the Lamb Stew - could have used more lamb since the ratio of veggies to lamb was 4:1. For drinks we opted for mocktails I got the Strawberry crush and my bf got the Peach Melba. Out of the 2 would recommend the Strawberry Crush. Overall great experience! Would recommend if you are in downtown Huntsville do check it out!

Best thing is sky deck at Mill on Main. Really enjoyed the meal under open sky on sky deck. Service is little slow because of less staff and huge restaurant. Pizzas, cauliflower tacos and burgers with local Muskoka is best what you can try in vegetarian options. Ambience is best.

This place is best known for its pizza and it was extraordinary. I’m not a big fan of pizzas but this one is without doubt the best one I have ever had. Thin and crisp crust, whole garlics, flavoured meat and the tomato paste… everything is in perfect balance and conditions. A must visit restaurant in Huntsville.

3 1/2⭐️ the pizza was great, cooked in a nice stone oven. The beef dip was good to. I would of given 4⭐️but noticed the staff seemed alittle unorganized, to much chit chat , having said that our waitress was excellent.

As a vegan it’s often slim picking for good vegan fare in cottage country. Usually stuck with the choice of a salad with oil and vinegar, fries and sometimes, if I’m lucky, a bowl (minus any protein and cheese). Well, The Mill on Main flipped that upside down. My husband and I went yesterday and had the most delicious potato nachos and a wood fired pizza. Both had fresh made cashew cheese which blew the flavour profile off the charts. Our server, Max, was amazing. She was the perfect balance of friendly, knowledgeable about vegan items and attentive. The atmosphere (sat on the upper patio/deck) was beautiful and the serving sizes were quite ample. To be honest, we could have shared the nachos and been satisfied with that alone, but we were so excited about the great food that we downed both meals. The prices were good too. And the manager even stopped by our table as we were leaving and checked to see that we were happy with everything. She was truly interested in our answer…not just doing her duty. The only “con” to the meal was the fact that you get charged for having vegan cheese on items. My thinking is that there was supposed to be cheese on the nachos and the pizza, so it should simply be the same price…no up charge. Would have been a 5 star rating if they made the change to this. I would highly recommend The Mill on Main to all vegans travelling in or through Huntsville. Tish & Paul Sheppard

Stopped at this place on our way back to Toronto from a long day of travel and it was great. The wood fire pizzas and tacos (cauliflower and fish) were both amazing. The cocktails were great and loved their in-house dips with chipotle wrap. The servers were warm. Definitely going back here whenever I’m in the town again.
Muskan Taneja — Google review
The patio is closed on the night we visited but the indoor seating is fine. I love the wood fired pizza as the ingredients are cooked well but gently. However the maple bacon flavor is a little bit too salty (as in the bacon). And their special salad with pear and sweet roasted pecan is delicious, especially with the grilled chicken add on. Staff might be more attentive.

Had not been there in a while. Nice place, great service. I had the turkey sandwich special with cranberry sauce. To my disappointment, it was a lunch/deli meat sandwich. I could have made that at home! Would have though actually turkey meat. Kettle chips are very good. Other than that, the burger was good my friend had. Next time I order off menu, no special.

Nice dining experience. Offer tables, booths or seats at the bar. The 80s music was weird and out of place. Our server didn't tell us the items that the kitchen was out of from the beginning and when we needed more time to decide she disappeared for long time. The back of the menu boosts homemade food yet their potato wedges are store bought and pre-dredged in flour. They do not even have regular fries. Although you can pay extra for sweet potato fries. The ribs were delicious, fall off the bone and tasty sauce that wasn't too sweet. The coleslaw was delicious. Their Cowboy burger was yummy and grilled nicely.

Their food, service and ambiance are all 5/5 stars. One of the best dine in restaurants in Huntsville. We entered the restaurant and were greeted by Steve. He was a polite and professional guy who showed us our table. Our server was amazing. A big shoutout to him for providing the best service on our anniversary. We ordered their flatbed bruschetta which was delicious and then we order their black been burger which was super yummy. I highly recommend this restaurant for a quick bite.

I recently dined at The Mill on Main in Huntsville, Ontario, and the experience was outstanding. I tried the Grilled Chicken Salad and the Wood Fired Chicken Pizza, and I'm at a loss for words to describe how delicious they were. The flavors were simply amazing! Not only was the food a delight, but the ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience. The place has a great atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. If you're in Huntsville and looking for a fantastic dining experience, The Mill on Main is a must-visit. I can't recommend it enough! 😊🍕🥗 #DeliciousFood #GreatAmbiance #TheMillOnMain

Must-stop 🛑 Restaurant Took a day trip from Toronto to Algonquin with a few of my friends so we wanted to eat somewhere that was on the way home. This was definitely worth it! To start off, the town this restaurant is located in is very cute so it was a good precursor to the resto. Overall, food, service, and atmosphere were all good. Service: When we first got there, we were immediately greeted and taken to our seats. Our server had immaculate service - had a warm smile, is easy going, and checks in at good times. Not to mention he's pretty cute! I can't remember his name but he recently also came from Toronto back to the area so please give this man some praise ! Food: Pizza was phenomenal. The wood fired pizzas really give good bite and leave a decadent taste in your mouth. The portions are also good for the price. There are also vegan options as well. Cauliflower Bites - 7/10 : tastes like you'd expect them to. Tasty batter and super steamy hot which is a plus. Magic Mushroom - 8/10 : Delicious pizza and perfect for a mushroom lover. Overall well balanced. It has confit garlic, wild mushrooms and pecorino. The Carnivore - 9/10: tastes better with every bite. It has a prosciutto, spicey salami, bacon, mozzarella and pecorino Half rack of ribs w/ sweet potato fries - the fries were definitely good but I'm not giving a rating for this because I was too full to accurately judge 😬 Atmosphere: Great atmosphere on a Sunday night in November. The place is decorated with local artwork features and tools. I felt comfortable and just had a good time like everyone else! Parking: Free.. I think? We parked at the back of the building. Overall: Would come back. Would recommend!

Our server was friendly and outgoing. Service was a tad slow; getting our bill was a slight struggle, but otherwise she was great. Food was amazing. We ordered the maple bacon pizza and Fish and chips which looked fantastic and tasted great. Genuinely excellent. We also ordered half a rack of ribs which were just okay. We found them a bit dry and smothered in sauce. Overall great experience. This place was even recommended to us by a local police officer.

Eclipse Restaurant is a great place to enjoy a good meal with friends and family. The views of the lake are stunning and the food is delicious. David, the host, was very polite and helpful, making sure everything went smoothly.
I can’t speak to non Valentines meals but the prix fixe dinner they served us on Feb 14 was incredible. Cedar planked arctic char with creamed Brussel sprouts was perfection and my gf really enjoyed the beef tenderloin with potato au gratin. The two layer beet shooter was a unique app and the dessert was top notch although my gf found the aftertaste a bit too flowery and soapy. Excellent and attentive and friendly service as well.

We made reservations for our st.patricks day anniversary, after reading the reviews we decided to cancel. Luckily for us the day before we were at the Maple pub and sat at the bar and had a great server Aylssa, she told us she wouldn't be there the next evening she would be at Eclipse....we then told her our decision to cancel and why. Alyssa and Stephanie (food and beverage manager) re booked us for 7:30 dinner and they did not disappoint!! Mussels were amazing, I had the salmon dish and hubby had the lamb Shank and we both thought it was really tasty, throw in a bottle of wine, good view and great service that's all we wanted!!! We both enjoyed the dining experience and are glad went and were able to write a good review based on our on experience!! 🥂 ☘ Thanks Alyssa for the dessert!

Buffet style that my kids like (17 & 12 years), not a lot of choice, but food was generally ok. Bigger salad bar options would be nice. Fish was really dry but everything else was fine. Furniture is not well taken care of, chipped and sticky tables, chairs comfortable but like tables could stand some refinishing. The furniture really makes the restaurant feel pretty shabby.

We just had our dinner tonight our waitress Jennifer was superb!! She's friendly, she made sure we are well taken care of! Jennifer also told us a little bit about the live band playing downstairs, & to take the complimentary shuttle in case it gets slippery out tonight! We enjoyed the vegetarian food selection etc. It was our 1st time @ Deerhurst & definitely won't be our last!

Breakfast comments: food was well presented and tasted great. Our hostess must have had a bad day! Zero communication skills. I am super polite, always ask nicely and say, “Thank you” repeatedly, response was disappointing! Over all a good experience. Dinner comments: food was delicious, well presented and our host, David, was super! I can only recommend to be a little more generous with their soup serving. Over all excellent dinner experience.

Went there with a family of 6 adults and a high chair. The restaurant is beautiful with walls of windows overlooking the resort grounds. The food selection was great... Salads, mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers, pizza, chicken, salmon, prime rib, roasted veggies, garlic mashed potatoes etc. And a large dessert selection. The churro bread pudding was a favourite! Several pies, cakes, chocolate fondue, etc. The service was great! The waitress overheard one of our party saying they preferred well done beef and she had the cooks put some of the beef on the grill for him until well done. We will definitely be going back!

Came here on the day before thanksgiving, paid $80/person for a buffet that feels like $10. Food: disgusting and all the meat/seafood were dry it tastes like rubber. Only decent was the shrimp cocktail because it literally takes no effort to make. Cocktail, no taste at all but with plenty of ice. Service: plate wasn’t collected after we left the table since it’s a buffet, we had to call our server to come over to collect it. Atmosphere: sticky table. DONT COME TO THIS RESTAURANT unless you want to experience vomit.

It is criminal how badly they gouge you. You can pay $18 for some yogurt and a muffin, or $28 for the buffet. Most things in the buffet had very little flavour, and others tasted awful. The juice tasted more like water. The server came to us at the beginning to seat us and the end to give us the bill. The pros: bacon was pretty good, the view was nice. I would expect this from a free breakfast…not one that costs $28 each

We talked to the chef about our dietary restrictions and he well accommodated and made amazing dishes I was completely satisfied with all the dishes. I have no idea why this place has negative reviews. We had reservations at 5pm and were promptly seated. Christine M. was our server and she was very friendly and attentive. The food at the buffet was fresh and delicious. My husband and I don't usually eat roast beef but it was very juicy so we had seconds. The desserts were amazing and there were many choices. The view was spectacular overlooking the scenic landscape, we're so glad we didn't listen to the negative reviews and tried it out for ourselves. We eat out at restaurants quite a lot and don't usually eat at buffets but were impressed by the choices and the quality, so impressed we booked reservations for breakfast. Thanks again!

We had dinner here twice and breakfast once , the first night our server was fantastic very attentive which made up for the cold foods. Breakfast was great and again our server was nice and polite . However tonight we had finished eating and our server had not even come by to offer water or take drink orders . I had to go find them and request water and dishes cleared . He finally asked of if we wanted drinks which we did , and he made them wrong . It was a him issue not restaurants as we had them the night before and they were great . He reluctantly remade them after telling me I was wrong and it was right . Horrible experience tonight fully because of awful service . Tables very sticky at all meals .

Located in the heart of Algonquin Provincial Park, Lake of Two Rivers Cafe and Grill is a convenient spot for visitors to grab a bite to eat. The cafe offers a variety of food options including hamburgers, sandwiches, wraps, pizzas, poutines, salads as well as ice cream treats like milkshakes and sundaes.
At about the km 31 mark of Hwy 60 through Algonquin Provincial Park is the Lake of Two Rivers Store & Cafe. The separate venues of Grocery and Camp Store along with Cafe & Grill are operated by Algonquin Outfitters under an agreement with Ontario Parks. General Note: Algonquin Provincial Park via Hwy 60 is 56 km from the West Gate (marker 0 km) to the East Gate (marker 56 km). Attractions, lakes & trails are identified by huge road signs. My sweetie and I stopped to get a bite and strong java before beating the trails. Brace yourself for sticker shock before entering either venue. Remind yourself that you've been labelled a Tourist! After ordering breakfast and told to wait outside for order #29 to be prepared, I walked over to the store for a browse. About 10 minutes later, I heard #29 over the loudspeaker and promptly made my way back to the outdoor order pickup area. There were plenty of picnic tables to sit at and after a quick but good meal, it was time to scamper. Nature was calling us!

The food is served hot, tasty and fresh. There is a large menu of burgers, sandwiches, wraps and sides to choose from. The prices are high. Pretty much $20 for any combo and you save $1 opt out of combo. The bathrooms are atrocious. Go in the woods, you'll be better off. The bathrooms look abandoned. Last picture. The overall valued experience here is Low.

Love grabbing breakfast and coffee from you guys after a morning hike in Algonquin. So convenient and it’s hot and delicious. The place is usually busy so wait time can be a bit longer than expected but they have a loud microphone to announce your order # which I could hear from my truck in their parking lot while it was raining. Prices are comparable to a restaurant not a fast food joint, as it should. Excellent!

Waited 44 mins for fries and soup... and the fries were the wrong kind and the soup was cold. We complained about the soup and they gave us a hot one... we made do with the fries we got. If they are going to have such a long wait, they need to let us know when ordering. We would not have ordered if we knew the wait was so long... we lost time in the park just because of the wait. Management, please consider giving a heads up on the wait when ordering! Edit: Bumped from 2 to 3 stars after the owner's thoughtful response and the fact that the food was good.

A nice store to have in Algonquin operated by Algonquin Outfitters. The coffee is fine, the pastries are quite yummy, albeit a bit on the pricey side, But hey, you are on vacation so no big deal. DOWNTOWN TORONTO PRICES IN THE WOODS!!!!! This place is constantly packed so I would assume that the food and ice cream is absolutely exquisite....because it costs a FORTUNE!!!! Most items on the menu (BLT....burgers ...) are $20...and a SINGLE scoop of ice cream is $6. Kawartha Dairies ice cream is great but not THAT great. I certainly hope the workers are getting paid REALLY well as this is, literally, highway robbery. Bring a camper full of cash. REGARDING THE "REPLY FROM THE OWNER": I think you missed my point. No I did not eat there as the prices are ridiculous. If YOU go back and read the reviews from the most recent to 10 months and a year ago they are riddled with similar complaints about over-priced (and some poor quality) food. In addition to any previous comments about extensive wait times it would appear that under-staffing js a continuous problem for TWO LAKES (..and many other businesses in the Algonquin-Dorset-Muskoka area). In addition to the previous summers of COVID which lead to the decimation of the labour pool, an increase to a sustainable wage level is much needed and deserved by usually under-paid service workers. This would probably incentivize and improve the labour supply. Such staffing shortages and wage deficiencies need to be improved by management at the serving sites to maintain a consistent customer satisfaction level.

Ordered one crispy chicken burger with grilled veggies side and elk burger with garden salad. Had to wait for almost 1hr to order and pick up the food on a weekend fall sat afternoon. Taste wise it was okay and felt overall expensive but that's what you get with only having one restaurant in the park I guess. If no choice for food you can stop here and have something warm. Otherwise didn't find anything that stood out or must try yet. Staff were nice and friendly & trying to catch up on all the orders. Good service by the team. Also didn't know online ordering service was available. Thanks to the owners response and will remember it for sure next time and come prepared!!!

The Lake of Two Rivers Cafe is a true hidden gem for pie and ice cream enthusiasts. During my visit, I was blown away by the delectable pies on offer. From the classic apple to the indulgent cream, each slice was a slice of heaven with its perfectly flaky crust and flavorful fillings. The ice cream selection was equally impressive, providing a delightful accompaniment to the pies. What made the experience even more enjoyable was the friendly waitress who went above and beyond to ensure our visit was memorable. The warm and welcoming atmosphere of the cafe, combined with the exceptional pies, ice cream, and the attentive service, made the Lake of Two Rivers Cafe the ultimate destination for pie and ice cream lovers.

Great convenient café right on the highway in the middle of wilderness. Right next to lake of two rivers campground. I walked from my camp site to this café, took 7-8 minutes. Easy. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Extensive food menu. We were here for breakfast which they stop serving at 11. Decided on getting omlettes that comes with side of potatoes and toast, a plate of waffles and french toast. All made fresh hence took some time. Delicious. Got lattes and cappuccino. Coffee we found mediocre. Price STEEP hence minus 1 star. But hey you are in middle of nowhere and you are getting so many options to choose from. So cant complain.
