The Miner's Village Restaurant offers delectable cuisine and hospitable individuals. The food is abundant and served promptly, with a wide array of choices for appetizers and entrees. If you're in the vicinity, it's highly recommended to visit this establishment. Additionally, adjacent to the restaurant is the must-see Miner Museum. This historical venue is meticulously maintained and boasts amiable personnel. The service is swift, and the quality of the food justifies return visits.
Good food and friendly people. Food was plentiful and fast. Lots of options for starters and main meals. Would recommend checking this restaurant out if you are in the area. It should be noted that the miner museum is a must see attraction which is situated next door to restaurant.

Delicious food every time! Service was great! I love that instead of regular bread service, they bring oatcakes and tea biscuits. We love coming here.

If you are looking for delicious halibut this is where you want to come. Came here with our rv w instead of home cooking we enjoyed two scrumptious halibut and chip dinners! It wasn’t even deep fried like I usually have , man it was good.

Anytime family and friends come for a visit we will be bringing them here. It's a well kept historical location with extremely friendly staff. Quick service and food was worth coming back for. Thank you.

Well I'm kind of disappointed as the place had great reviews. I had the turkey dinner. It was dry and too meh. I was expecting more flavour but I had to drizzle the entire cranberry sauce all over it to give it flavour. My momhad be wings and ribs. The chicken was fantastic. The ribs were dull and did not fall off the bone (though texture wise). The place is beautiful and has a great location (close to the mine museum) but it did not meet my expectations of a 4+ place.

Upon arrival we were seated with menus took awhile for waitress to return on 2 tables in while restaurant had customer including mine. We asked about specials the waitress mentioned cream of beets soup we said that's sounds quite interesting she said sounds quite disgusting. Scallops were great but fish tacos had no flavor at all. Then the waitress boyfriend came in to hang out with her. Very unprofessional very disappointed was one of my favorite places but not anymore. Very very disappointed

This is definitely one of the restaurants I have ever been to in Cape Breton. Food is delicious, hot and served very quickly. Servers are super friendly. Their fish and chips is a must try. Thanks for such an amazing evening

The service and food are top notch. The menu caters to all tastes with a emphasis on local seafood. The calamari plate is to die for!!! We will make this a go to stop whenever we have visitors. The decor, reflecting the mining history of Glace Bay is very fitting as part of the museum experience

Not sure why such high reviews. I like to support small business, but wasn't happy my food orders. Find pricey for what get. Order veggie sandwich, no meat or anything.. $10 seems a bit much lol. Quality of food isn't there, could definitely be better, for price spent here, could of ate at organic restaurant.. Which is at least healthy, not recommended myself, I'm from Ontario.. Maybe I'm picky.. Lol.. But I know good quality and food should be.. And spent too much for delivery.. No syrup incl for pancakes even.. Good had my own.. Not like to complain.. But expect a bit better quality for price was charged.

Customer service sucks. Party of 4. One person never got their order. Ordered a golden girl. Fish and chips, Mozza stick. And a poutine. The golden girl order came with the poutine. The fish had raw batter. The Waitress didnt check on the table. Tried to call her over 2 times. The raw battered fish should have been brought back the kitchen but was still charged and plate was left at table turn the stomachs of the rest of the dinners at the table. More intention is needed when the customer orders and more care of needed from the kitchen. Would rather mcdonald over this experience.

Food is delicious. Service is not good. The last 3 times we went the food was great, the service is mediocre at best! Today when we went was the last time. 3 bad experiences in a row and I am done. After ordering drinks and food, they didn't bother to bring drinks OR utensils until AFTER our food was already out, we ordered breakfast, not finger foods. Why order drinks first if they can't be bothered to bring them. Rather than coming to the table when we needed something they ignore for "daily" customers. We had to walk to the counter many times just to get a straw or a fork or anything.

I went to Colette's for the first time today. Even though I've lived on Cape Breton my entire life, I never got around to visiting before. Let me tell you, it was such a cute place! The vibe, the people, everything about it was absolutely amazing. I definitely recommend checking it out! ❤️❤️❤️

Staff was great and friendly. We had potato skins, deluxe burgers and my son got deep fried ice cream. There should be photos of our potato skins, with some we had already eaten along with a picture of the deep fried ice cream with caramel sauce. Will be returning for sure.

TALO Cafebar is a trendy and spacious spot with up-to-date and funky decor. The staff is incredibly friendly, making the atmosphere warm and welcoming. The food is described as amazing, with creative culinary talents showcased in dishes like lobster mac and cheese and mussels. While the bar selection could be improved, the cafe offers good entertainment. It's a great place to enjoy a buffet brunch or simply stop by for coffee, chat with cheery staff, and sample their eclectic menu offerings.
If there was a 6 star they would get that too!! The staff was incredible, kind and friendly. Decor, very up to date and funky, yet welcoming and spacious! The food.. Was omg-amazing!! Stopped here for a coffee while waiting for my group, and really enjoyed chatting with the friendly, cheery staff. One of them even gave me a bite of her Greek plate, which tasted awesome. There menu looks eclectic and delish!

Great atmosphere, staff, food, and location. Always good entertainment. Have to stock their bar a little better, though. Seems like they only have one or two of the favorites whether it's on tap or in bottle. If you haven't darken their door, you should, cuz you'll go back for more!

We went for buffet brunch. It is a very warm and welcoming decor. I would say trendy rustic. Bright and clean. Server was friendly. Food was good. The kind of place you would be feel comfortable sitting and chatting for awhile. Will definitely pay a visit again when I'm in the area.

Restaurant
The Glace Bay chip wagon, a long-standing establishment, has maintained its tradition of hand-cutting chips. It offers an appealing combination of delicious chips and hot dogs. The staff are exceptionally friendly, contributing to the positive experience at the Wagon. While there is little room for improvement, some suggested enhancements include the addition of malt vinegar and a greater variety of hot dog toppings. This frequented spot provides a delightful culinary experience that entices customers to return time after time.
This chip wagon has been here forever! They still cut chips by hand. Chips and hot dogs are awesome. Very nice people running the Wagon. Only change I would make here. Malt vinagar and some more hot dog toppings. Went here twice on this trip and look forward to my next visit

It is advisable to visit Huangs restaurant and make a purchase instead of opting for delivery. In case the food is delivered, there is a possibility that it may be cold and the sauces might spread across other dishes, causing the beef and broccoli, for example, to become dry. Additionally, dining in at the restaurant is currently not an option.
Absolutely wonderful. Chop suey was perfect

First time with takeout here. Ordered Beef fried rice, almond chicken soo gai, beef and broccoli and spring rolls. If i had to sum up the meal it would be "very bland". It was Like it was being served at a senior citizens complex. Disappointing for me on my first try.

Not happy at all. I ordered take out today, the lady told me my total was $52.70 and when I got home I noticed I was charged $63.24 on my card. I called to see if there was a mistake made and the lady hung up on me. The food was not worth the original 52 bucks (apparently it costs an extra 2 bucks to get gravy on your poutine??) so getting charged 63 and then ghosted felt like a pretty low blow.

Terrible service. I ordered seasame chicken, it came as almond chicken instead of almond seasame seeds pounded into the crust. I ordered beef n broccoli and got something that had 0 broccoli and I ordered a noodle dish it sounded delicious...it had one mangled piece of pork and a couple (beaten) pieces of chicken. It was a 0 star order...I don't have that option. I called, no answer I messaged, no response. So I'm going to spread the word that this is THE WORST food and customer service in gb.

Disappointing Experience at Huang's I recently ordered chicken fried rice from Huang's and had a disappointing experience. To my surprise, the order did not include basic cutlery, and when I called to address the issue, the staff insisted that cutlery must be ordered separately. This lack of foresight in providing essential utensils with a food order reflects a disregard for customer convenience. While the food itself may be satisfactory, the inconvenience caused by this cutlery policy significantly detracts from the overall dining experience. It's disheartening to see such a basic service element overlooked, and I hope Huang's considers revising their approach to ensure a more customer-friendly service in the future.

Better to go there and place a order. I find if I get it delivered it's cold and the sauce are all over your other food which in return dries out my beef and broccoli for instance. Still no eat in.

Worst food ever. Ordered fried wonton, chicken fried rice and hot and sour soup. All the food items were too bad both in terms of quality and quantity. Only after ordering, I got to know that their wontons doesn't come with fillings. Never ever going to order again. It was an utter waste of money. Highly disappointed.

I only wish I could eat inside. I also don't like how they are only open 5 hours a day. Other then that its good and makes me feel magical.

I have eaten food from Chinese restaurants and this is among the best. Have ordered from here many times and never had a bad meal.
Eric MacKinnon — Google review
The absolute worse Chinese food we’ve ever had. There was no flavour, three of the dishes we ordered were all served on a bed of the same vegetables that had a thick, clear , tasteless “sauce” . Said vegetables contained mostly onion with a few pieces of carrot and celery. The sesame chicken we ordered was awful. It was two small, thin chicken fillets covered in batter with sesame seeds stuck to it. No sauce, no flavour, nothing. I’m sure everything they serve is frozen, packaged, cheap garbage. We spent $120 for dinner and it was a complete waste of money. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. We ordered our food at 3pm as soon as they opened. We were told it would be ready in 30 minutes. We were there to pick it up at 330 and we’re told it would be out in 5 minutes. We had to wait another 30 minutes before receiving the food. Save your money and go get a pizza or chicken from The Chicken Shack in Glace Bay. I would have given zero stars if that had been an option

Ordered no shrimp on the chow mein when it arrived it had shrimp on it. Called to ask for a replacement or at least a refund/credit for next time. They offered to charge me a delivery charge and send it out again. Tried to tell me it was my fault. Even though the order sheet showed that I said no shrimp.
