Grenada

Grenada is a Caribbean country comprising a main island, also called Grenada, and smaller surrounding islands. Dubbed the “Spice Isle,” the hilly main island is home to numerous nutmeg plantations. It’s also the site of the capital, St. George’s, whose colourful homes, Georgian buildings and early-18th-century Fort George overlook narrow Carenage Harbour. To the south is Grand Anse Beach, with resorts and bars.

Grand Anse Beach

Mentioned on
Beach
Outdoor Activities
Grand Anse Beach is a well-known 1.5-mile white sand beach that's great for swimming and surrounded by sea grapes, palm trees, and low-rise hotels. The beach doesn't have any coral reefs but still offers warm, calm waters ideal for snorkeling where you can spot colorful tropical fish and lobsters. The location is popular among tourists due to its clear water and fine sand, but it can get crowded later in the day because of nearby big hotels.
One of the best beaches in the island. Family friendly and calm waters.
sadegh robinson — Google review
Apparently this is the most popular beach in Grenada. So if you were looking for calm and soothing then this is not the beach to visit. I love the vibe here tho. The music in the background and the people having fun gives real Caribbean mood. I went here for sunset and it looked amazing! My camera didn’t do it right 😅 but I recommend you to go and have a great time at Grand Anse.

Avoid all the offers of a car taxi at the port. Ask where the water taxi is. Costs $5US each way. Beautiful little trip. Then the beach is out of this world.
Graham Roberts — Google review
Beautiful and calm waters. One of the best beaches in the Caribbean.
LaShaun Ramdin — Google review
One of the most beautiful beaches I have been to. The sand is a beautiful consistency, doesn’t get too hot, and the water is absolutely perfect temperature no matter the time of year. A short taxi or Haylup (Grenada’s Uber) ride from most all points on the southern end of the island. Lots of restaurants and beachside bars to keep you fed and hydrated. Highly recommend!
Ron Short — Google review
Brilliant clean beach. Great to feed the fish there with bread they love it, clear water get some great photos. Water Taxi $5.00 back to cruise ship, well worth visit 🏖🚢😎
Paul Clarke — Google review
A beautiful beach with many shops nearby. Clear water, white sands. It's a great tourist spot overall.
Stefan Buchanan — Google review
It's a beautiful beach. There are two ways to get there if you are visiting Grenada by cruise - by water taxi from the port or by taking a cab. We decided to take a cab and lounged around for a few hours at the beach. Our cab driver waited for us until we were ready to go back. Some folks who took the water taxi were bit challenged going back to the port because it was sporadic and can only take a few people at a time.

Gorgeous stretch of beach! I was quite surprised that it was so quiet on a Sunday afternoon but it was so nice. The water was warm and clear and not rough at all. The backdrop of the town as a view was amazing!
Sunshine Daisy — Google review
This beach is amazing clean and very well kept. It’s close to restaurants and the supermarkets. There are parking spaces and a changing room as well. You need to pay 2EC to use the changing area.

Love this beach! Grand Anse is such a beautiful beach! So clean as well and enjoyable. Miles of unspoiled white powdery beach and turquoise water, friendly smiles of peoples walking and jogging around, just like a perfect spot I always adore when it comes to the beach. I stayed in Radisson Hotel which has direct access to this beautiful beach but everyone has access to it as well from another part of it. Best to go in the morning when the sun is not too hot and the beach is really clean. The temperature of the water is just perfect when I visit it this May. Near the hotel we can use the chair and plenty of trees which give you some protection as well. Don't miss it when you are around!

Nice quiet beach with the sea in differing hues of blue. Good to spend a chill day to laze around
CK Cheong — Google review
I wanted to explore the Grand Anse Beach. There were many people sitting or sleeping on the beach on beach chairs. We made friends with some of them. We were here to explore the beach, as well as snorkeling. I was amazed when I went snorkeling. When I entered in the ocean, every time I went on a beach, the fish would run away from me. This was not like that at the Grand Anse Beach. The fish were not afraid of me. They kept following me wherever I went. I had never seen like that. I enjoyed the view from this beach. We could see some mountains. There were lots of palm trees and other trees as well. They gave lots of shade. However, I will never forget these fish. Wow! This is a must. Everyone we saw, they always said that the Grand Anse Beach s the best beach. I agree!

Belmont Estate

Mentioned on
Sights & Landmarks
Farms
Belmont Estate is a 17th-century working plantation located on a 395-acre plot between the parishes of St. Patrick and St. Andrew in Grenada's north side. It is an organic cocoa farm that also offers tours of its cocoa making facilities, as well as a museum and craft market where guests can purchase souvenirs. In addition to cocoa, the estate grows crops like cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf, ginger and nutmeg.
Great tour well worth the trip. Kelli does a great job of giving all the history of the location and covers the whole process from cocoa to chocolate. You even get to taste the raw cocoa bean and "walk the beans". They also have many other spice and fruit plants, which he discusses as well. Chocolate is a little pricey in the shop but is delicious. We didn't get to eat at the restaurant but it looked great.

The whole island is breath taking and just when I thought it couldn't get any better, I saw a parrot. His name is Rainbow. He's so dang cute. [I quickly cut the video to interac with him afterward.] Best. Day. Ever.

Kell is a rock star and excellent tour guide. A definite place to visit if you are fortunate enough to visit Grenada. It is great to see an business put some much effort to make sure people have jobs, especially in the crazy COVID times.

One of the best Estate tours I’ve been on. Our tour guide Jason or J made this experience the best yet for us. Very informative and interactive. Taste, touch, smell, like a touch museum. You will not regret this tour. I will visit again to try the restaurant

This was an amazing experience. Our tour guide, Sheldon, was A++. The lunch was delicious. The servers were friendly and attentive. The restaurant bathrooms were really clean. It was a great atmosphere and experience.

We had a jeep so drove here as it looked so lovely and we wanted to explore further north in Grenada. We nearly didn’t do the tour as it had just started- (they run regularly thru the day) & at $16 EC pp (£5) is a Bargain! But Kelly kindly let us join and he actually made our visit. He was fantastic! Not sure how much you pay Kelly but he deserves a raise! 😃 and a bonus. He was so enthusiastic, passionate about Belmont, very interesting and also so entertaining. Absolutely amazing tour (30/40 mins) there is no hard sell but we bought and tasted chocolate which is delicious. Also ate in the beautiful restaurant (you can have just one course and not 3 of you don’t want a big lunch) What an amazing experience! Massive thanks to Kelly please, just fantastic 👌

Amazing tour and meal! Highly encourage all Grenada visitors to check out this beautiful spot with amazing history. Such friendly hosts!
Kerry Bowden — Google review
Very nice tour. Our tour guide was very knowlegeable and entertaining. We were able to meet the owner of the estate. The grounds are the typical Caribbean lushness that is so enjoyable. They have some spider orchids in the estate. The tour included the history of the estate, the making of chocolate, and ended with a chocolate tasting. We left with some chocolate bars, tea, and nutmeg. There is, also, a restaurant on property. Highly enjoyed this tour.
Cora W — Google review
This Georgian estate is a peculiar site to see on Grenada. The ‘museum’ itself is more like an odd collection of 100-200 year old bits however, the tour is insightful into their very artisan way of making chocolate, which is at minimum entertaining especially since it includes chocolate tasting ~ the milk chocolate is wondrous! The lunch has stunning views and excellent service, some of the food is an acquired taste but all round a fun and well priced day out!
Reviewer 96 — Google review
Belmont is definitely a highlight of the island. You can choose to take a chocolate making tour, wander around the lovely grounds yourself, or just eat at the restaurant. The food was buffet but excellent with excellent service.
sgriffithsx — Google review
The Bean to Bar tour with Kelly was excellent! The entire process was clearly explained and showed and experienced and tasted. From seeing the cacao trees to the cocoa beans processed to the tour by the Master Chocolatier , it was a wonderful sensory experience. If you like chocolate, you must do this tour!! Lunch was delicious as well!
Cori Giroux — Google review
Very interesting tour of coco processing and making chocolate. Our guide was friendly and informative. Only $6 a person with a few samples to boot.
Kevin Picchi — Google review
Belmont Estate and our guide were really amazing. We loved to see the whole process, explanations, and tasting. It's definitely worth the effort to go there. Best to reach by car.

Amazing Chocolate Tour! Must do if you have the chance. Kell is amazing and knocks it out of the park. I have been on a lot of tours in my life but this one is up there in the top for education, presentation and experience. Our timing was perfect as it ended up only being me and my wife having our own tour guide and because of his effort and skill we have a greater appreciation for chocolate and Belmont chocolate specifically and their sustainability practices but also the economic choices by taking the island into consideration over production.
Clayton Schweb — Google review
Love the tour so much I've taken it a couple of times. The history, production process, and amazing views are definitely worth the cost of admission. If you aren't that into the chocolate production, you can skip directly to the chocolate shop at the end, but don't forget to get yourself some goat cheese as well. They also have a great restaurant that makes the process of choosing what you want for dinner very simple. Highly suggest visiting if you have some free time on the Island.
Hunter Bell — Google review
Awesome tour of a working chocolate factory from picking coco pods through finished products. Our guide was very knowledgeable about every step of the process and funny too!
Jo Cramer — Google review
Lunch here was absolutely delicious. The view amazing and the staff polite and attentive. Belmont Estate is nestled in the semi mountainous area of the most northern part of the island. If you like nature and all things organic, this is the place to be. I decided to have lunch here and made 2pm reservations. A three course buffet style (farm to table) lunch is served here; affordably priced at $75. I opted for the split pea soup to start and was wowed by the taste. For lunch, I tried a little bit of everything, see video. Presentation and taste, both impressive. The coconut cake for dessert was totally delightful. Oh, how could I forget the mouth watering and refreshing locally made ginger beer. I am guilty of having two glasses, lol. Kudos to Koreen and Kerrisa for taking care of me. Both were professional, friendly and attentive. They are indeed an asset to your team and I can tell that they are proud to provide excellent service at all times in a team spirit effort of elevating your brand. I made a brief visit to the chocolate factory where I met Cindy who politely took care of me. Another beautiful addition to your team. I left impressed on all levels and will highly recommend Belmont Estate to anyone visiting Grenada.

Lunch was locally grown food, and I love it. Cook on the coal pot brought back so many memories. It's also great to make a lunch reservation. First time having christophin soup, and I had to recreate my version. I did not do a tour of the local cocoa, but it's an option for those interested. Walking around the property, you felt so free, and the fresh air was great. You can also buy locally grown chocolate among other stuff.
Veronica Noel — Google review
Beautiful Plantation grounds. Had an excellent tour done by Kelly. I think he is synonymous with the estate because most people I know that have been here mentions his excellent tour. The tour takes you from start to finish making a chocolate bar. The gift shops has all the products the make for sale. I gave this 4/5 stars only because of the buffet lunch. It was just ok. To be frank, underwhelming after an amazing tour. I think this is a must stop for locals and tourists alike.

Grenada Underwater Sculpture Park

Mentioned on
Local history museum
Museums
Grenada Underwater Sculpture Park is a well-known attraction for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts. The park, situated just north of St Georges in Moliniere Bay, features around 80 unique sculptures created by British artist Jason de Caires Taylor. Visitors to the underwater gallery can explore life-size figures such as a group of women holding hands and a man sitting at his desk.
Great way to see the sculpture park with First Impressions Ltd and their glass bottomed boat. The crew were great, sharing local information and knowledge. A wonderful way to spend a few hours getting to know the island.
Steven Hufton — Google review
Went diving here, from the boat 'High Time'. The sculptures are a bit eerie but beautiful at the same time. Its a great idea, I would like to see more of. Its a shallow depth and makes it harder to miss anything. I got a sunny Caribbean day, which helps. No underwater camera unfortunately. Lots of fish down there too. I got separated from the group and a large school (>100) of small barracuda type fish swam towards me and past me as if I was one of the statues. I was in the middle of the swarm. What a great moment. The beach around this underwater park is nice and also worth a visit
Alan Egan — Google review
Amazing 👏 experience.. was nervous at first but managed well. The team was very helpful with swimming and locating the sculptures.
Clearina Charles — Google review
Not to be missed! We were lucky enough to hire a boat from Grand Mal Beach and had a private experience visiting the sculpture park and nearby areas. It is not possible to swim there by yourself from shore - unless you are a great swimmer.
Cindy W — Google review
Several years ago when this statue park was first put in, it was really cool to explore. Now, all the statues have pretty much fallen and isn't really worth exploring. You'd be better off snorkeling around the rocks to see fish and other sea creatures. If you're sailing here, you can grab one of the 3 white mooring balls just south of the point, or one of the two in Dragon Bay just north. The red balls are for commercial/ diving boats; however, you can take these for overnight stay later in the day. Just be mindful of the depths.
Iman Alsharkawi — Google review
Not ads many sculptures as I expected. I would have loved to see the sculpture park when it first opened. The sculptures have obviously been in the sea for a while and as time goes on, they became covered with more and more with coral. It would be cool if new sculptures were added.

Why are their backs turned against each other ? and why is this sculpture under the sea? Of all the artifacts we have seen them upheave and put into museums where is the the Justice for even the statues of our cities great past? ! Is this what Maurice & Jaqueline were executed for ?! Take this blatant curse from under the waters so Grenada can be what it needs to be. Let them who have ears hear and eyes to see. These artifacts under the sea hide history to a past that was stolen. Only thru true knowledge can we liberate in the words of sir Bishop. True love does not come from us turning our back on one another but coming together to make sure we don’t make the same mistakes of our past. If u read this I hope it hits home and brings you to a spirit of peace & unity. Pray for the island. Don’t be like the writer sculpture that is so busy working that he forgets about his children and his past. Remember where you come from as a people and unite in love and gratitude always !

Such an amazing experience! My husband and I did the snorkeling tour and were pleased with how much we could see "from above" vs diving. We had a great tour guide and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the sculptures and the aquatic life! A must see!
Sheri Monroe — Google review
It was really cool to see all the underwater statues. Sandals did wack us $120/scuba $50/snorkeling to go there, but unless you frequent Grenada go see it you'll have a good time.
Zac Stoppe — Google review
Worth going, but if u have the choice, don't go on a cloudy, rainy day...as visibility will be poor... take your personal snorkel gear if u have it, as a bit hit and miss with the boats equipment, however that may be dependent on whom u book through...beautiful speed boat ride along the coast...
Philippa Stephen-Martin — Google review
We went on our own with our friend's boat. There are several statues to discover. We were lucky, a local guide was conducting a tour with a group and he was nice enought to allow us to follow is groupe.

We went on both a morning dive and a night dive yesterday...both were amazing!!! Reach out to Aquanauts Grenada to schedule your Snorkeling or Scuba Diving adventure!!
Tammy Geer — Google review
We snorkelled over the location as part of a tour from a cruise ship. Don’t expect ancient artefacts, these modern sculptures were deliberately placed in about 2006 as a tourist attraction and to hopefully assist in the preservation of a damaged reef system.
David Cumberland — Google review
We took a taxi and told the driver to take us to the sculpture park. We arrived at a beach and there was a man with a boat who offered to take our small group of four out to the park for 30 USD each, including snorkels. We took the boat out there and there was another group with their own tour guide to show them the locations of the sculptures, as they are not so easy to find on your own. It had been raining and windy, so the water was very cloudy and we had some difficulty seeing the sculptures without diving down a bit. It was interesting, but there were not many fish or marine life, and the sculptures were very difficult to see. However, it was a fun experience getting to swim around and see a few fish and some of the sculptures. Note: There are two rings of sculptures; one is smaller and closer to the location that the boats will release you at. There is a larger ring of life-sized sculptures a bit further away.

The Annandale Waterfall & Forest Park is a picturesque attraction, nestled in the midst of a vast rainforest. The waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery, including ferns and other vegetation. It features a small pool at its base and is considered a popular tourist spot. Early visits are recommended to experience its true beauty. The park also boasts a restaurant and souvenir shop for visitors.
Annandale was beautiful. The restaurant was located right next to the falls. Food and drinks were excellent. No serious hiking required. We went with DeLon Real Grenadian Tours. Loved it all.

This is a very nice place to visit. The pictures definitely do not do it justice. The waterfall is a nice size, but the surrounding foliage makes it all very beautiful. There is also a restaurant and souvenir shop.
Dru M — Google review
Very easy and quick walk to view the falls. To enter into the water takes usage of some steep steps. Not difficult for for many folks. The water is cool and refreshing and only a small area is deep. The rest is easy to walk through with the head easily above water. Interesting stop by.
D Z — Google review
The waterfall is beautiful. We went on a Sunday and got there right after a huge tour group had just left so we had the place mostly to ourselves for pictures. There was no one to tell us about the area though so not sure of the significance of the waterfall. No one to say if we were allowed in the water etc… just some kids running around. There was a bar and restaurant but we didn’t stop to experience it. Bathrooms are clean though. Priced for locals and visitors. There’s a very lonely looking Mona monkey in a cage towards the front though… he needs a friend. I recommend going if you want some great photos. There are different levels including a spot directly behind the water of the falls

such a tropical paradise, you could plant anything here and it would grow. we saw mango , cinimon, cloves, nutmegs, etc etc the waterfall is glorious and a good way to cool off for the adventurous .

If you are from the Caribbean and are accustomed to visiting waterfalls, this waterfall will be fairly average. However if you're visiting from somewhere else without much experience in seeing waterfalls, then this is a great place to visit as a part of your tour of Grenada. The falls include a sizeable pool before, maybe about 7-8 ft at its deepest point, and the facility also has a restaurant and other social activities.
Amir Mohammed — Google review
It was late afternoon when my friends brought me here. It was a lovely waterfall! I think it is the closest that I have ever been to one ever (judge for yourself😊). I really liked the set-up of the establishment. Place was not too crowded. The water was cool. I was told that the pool that the fall plunges into is about 25 feet!
Sunshine Daisy — Google review
Beautiful! Great photo opportunities. Can even walk behing the waterfall. If your lucky, you'll see some Mona monkeys as well. The restaurant there was nice as well.
Mike Edwards — Google review
This place is amazing. The good news is that if you are not into hiking, is you can drive there, and it is a short walk. There is plenty to see. The only negative, in my opinion and the same is true for everywhere on the island, is if anyone approaches you and strikes up a conversation, they want to sell you something. At this location it was food to feed the monkeys, buy beads, or watch people jumping from the top of the waterfall.
Mark Cornelius — Google review
Nice waterfall with clean water. Does have people trying to sell you a few things and jump off into the water for tips. But mostly they're very respectful and it's just a relaxing place. Can get busy, especially when cruise ships in town.
Cam Harper — Google review
Excellent waterfall. It is a shame that the government of Grenada has leased the adjacent area to a private entity this restricting access to as public space.

Grenada is a small island with some good features that are nice to explore to appreciate the island, but individually they are not world class. I also grew up there for a few years from 5. We came on a cruise so the available time was limited. It was definitely better than staying on the ship. The Grand Anse beach on the other hand is among the top 5 in the world. One of the best in the Caribbean.

See this fall in conjunction with the Seven Sisters. We visited Annandale Falls after which was a great finish to the day. We did not visit the restaurant/bar. All reviews seem mostly the same and with similar pics. I still think it is a great place to visit and support.

Beautiful falls. You have to pay an entrance fee. The location itself is small but very beautiful. Be careful going in lots of rocks suggest wearing water shoes. There is a local bar/restaurant on site, and they take credit cards.
Renai Mason — Google review
Nice view of the waterfall. We chose not to get in the water but many others were jumping into the pool at the bottom of the falls. Viewing area is rather small and not many places to walk to get different views of the falls. The "local dive club" will climb up the opposite cliff and jump into the falls for a small contribution.
Kris Rose — Google review
Great set up to facilitate lots of diving fun, the waterfall has a lot of photo spots and great plant life. Whether you want to relax amidst the river rocks or have a dive in the waterfall basin, its a great experience either way. Tickets are easy to get at the entrance to the area though parking on the road incline is a bit difficult.
Visham R — Google review
Absolutely stunning waterfall. There is a bar in the rain forest! You can bathe in the pool of the waterfalls. Bring some spare US dollars to help the locals who are performing and diving. Geckos on the trees. Gorgeous plants. Not too far a walk from the entrance to the falls.
LTB F — Google review
This is a nice little waterfall. They charge you $5 to enter. There is a small little store at the top and a bathroom. Walking to the falls there was a couple ladies selling spices and trinkets. Down by the falls there is a small bar. We went in mid-March so not a lot of water coming down. There were only a few people there when we arrived but as we were leaving it got crowded with a few taxis and tours. We were exploring the island on a moped.
Deanna Lynn Poling — Google review
There is a very short paved walk from the parking lot to the waterfall. It was great for our kids and my older parents. And having the restaurant right next to the falls made for a lovely, relaxing afternoon.
Lora Arneberg — Google review
Beautiful waterfall set in a lush rainforest. There are washrooms and a bar, too so you can stay as short or as long as you want really. I thought it was a lovely stop on our island tour!
Jessica Mierau — Google review
Amazing waterfall. An entrance fee is payable to visit the falls and use its facilities and is accessed by a short walk down some stairs to the falls itself. There's a restaurant and bar on your way down. Locals jump off the top of the falls for tourists and you can show your appreciation by leaving a small tip/donation for them. The water is refreshing and you can even see quite a few fish swimming around. A parking lot is available on site.

Waterfalls
Concord Falls is a popular tourist attraction in Grenada, located on the western coast of the island. It consists of three cascading waterfalls situated on the edge of a rainforest reserve. Visitors can take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters while enjoying the stunning tropical scenery. However, accessing all three falls requires some hiking and visitors are advised to bring snacks and water. The falls are about 8 miles north of St.
It's a secluded place but fairly easy to find. It was not crowded when we arrived. But if it were crowded the traffic could get very congested on the narrow road. Lovely natural setting. There is a shop with friendly staff who are helpful. We visited December 2023.
Jennifer Lyons — Google review
Glad we visited it on our tour today. But it wasn't special. The pictures are nice and it would be 4* other than for the very pushy locals wanting tourists to buy either coral reef jewelry, spices or simply pay to watch a death defying jump into waterfall plunge pool. Go in a group and not alone or in a couple... You won't feel as intimidated then.
Nathan Collins — Google review
A beautiful waterfall and surrounding area, with areas to swim and lounge around the falls. Small fee to enter, but well worth the visit to see the falls and surrounding area. Knocking the review down 1 star due to the caged monkeys outside the main office - I can't see a reason why they'd keep these poor creatures in a cage except for the tourists to see, is just sad these wild animals not running free in their natural habitat.
Tony Simons — Google review
Just wow. Beautiful falls and rainforest surroundings. Nice little souvenir shops and bar on site. Have a swim under the falls and i would advise going later in the day after the tourist buses have gone, we had the falls to ourselves around 12pm

Concord Waterfalls is a must see on your list, locals or visitors! No hiking required. Adequate parking. Beautiful lush surroundings. Please come prepared to pay an entrance fee. There are private washrooms available. You can enquire for details on this , when you get there or ask your guide beforehand. The water is fantastic and cool , so be prepared! You can enjoy seeing the waterfall jumpers. Please Tip them well , for their bravery and talent ! Safety alert ! Some of the pool Areas of base of this fall is very deep. Please , please whilst you enjoy, be safe!

Gorgeous waterfall! One consideration, there is no hiking required for the first waterfall. Please note that the second and third waterfalls involves a challenging hiking specially if you are not prepared for it. I was not prepared, and I fell on a slippery rock. Still loved the experience, but we do recommend hiking 🥾 boots and trousers 👖. There is no formal trail, only a small trail that includes a lot of mud, plants, rocks 🪨, and with at least three rock hoping river crosses. I would do it again but with the proper hiking gear. Enjoy!! 🏝️❤️

Really worth visiting! Concord Falls and its pool is great - but you should go further... I went on up to Fontainebleau Falls, really spectacular, plus a very interesting walk up through the tropical forest. You really need a guide - the path will be very difficult to follow without one. I had Sylvester, who was excellent - in particular because of his knowledge of the plants and trees. This really made the day, seeing cocoa trees and their pods, cloves, thyme, nutmeg, plantains and different varieties of banana, all in their natural environment. Plus many others! Sylvester is a great guy - highly recommend.
Hans Hamre — Google review
This was a great visit. We were trying to also see Fontainebleau falls, but with the rain that day the rivers were swollen. Concord is still a great view and the water is very refreshing. There are several places you can jump from or watch the professionals do it. Add this to your list of falls to see.

Lovely waterfall with ice cold water. Tickets cost 1 USD per person to enter the falls which can be accessed by a few steps down to the waterfall. The water's depth is around 20ft at the deeper part of the water. Bathroom and changing facilities as well as parking available. There are a few gift/craft shops along the entrance.

Embark on a 30-minute jungle hike to discover a stunning second waterfall, immersing yourself in the island's vibrant flora and fauna, and concluding with a refreshing swim. Experience the thrill of a lifetime at this hidden gem of a waterfall, where you can leap from various heights into the refreshing water below. The challenging drive to reach this secluded spot only adds to the adventure.
Shawn Reimerdes — Google review
We stopped for 30 minutes as part of an all day guided tour. It is a beautiful medium sized waterfall with a deep plunge pool that you can swim in. There are several souvenir and snack shops from the locals there. On some days, not ours, there are professional divers who dive in the plunge pool from great heights. It was a neat experience if you are part of a tour but not worth a dedicated excursion.
John Lutter — Google review
Refreshing stop-off during our island tour. You have to run the gauntlet of street vendors to reach the falls but it was worth it to enjoy a fresh water dip. The waterfall itself is smaller than we imagined but still worth a visit.

The lively scene on Sundays with a reggae band playing on the deck is a must-see for visitors to Grenada. The restaurant also has its own beach bar with comfortable seating and great views.
I must say, everything from the food to the staff exceeded my expectations. It was undoubtedly the best restaurant experience I had on the island, hands down. However, I was a little disappointed to find out that they had sold out of lobster when I visited. Nevertheless, the cowboy steak and shrimp that I ordered were amazing. Also got some awesome pictures !!

We didn't have a reservation but were seated almost immediately. They took our drink order and brought them to us. It was a good 20 minutes before someone asked us if we had ordered yet, which we hadn't because our server went missing. They took our order and the food came out surprisingly quick. Our steaks were delicious and cooked a perfect medium rare. The garlic bread was delicious (you better like butter & garlic, which we do!). We finished our dinners and they cleared our plates. We waited for them to bring our check... and waited... and waited. After 30 minutes I finally got up and tracked someone down, who talked to someone else, and 10 minutes later we received our check. The food was great but the service was not great. I would go again, but maybe earlier in the day so we could enjoy the view.

Came here on a Sunday for the live band. It was great! Mixed crowd. Just don't go hungry because it was busy so we had to wait a little while for our food. Make a reservation if going to hear the live band.

We originally got forgotten when a huge ship table came in (30 minutes for a drink order) but it got better and the food was tasty. Great water views. No lobster available.

Wonderful restaurant had one of the best meals. The melting pot was fabulous the jerk chicken was the best we'd ever had. Everything we ordered was delicious.

Amazing Lobster lunch! Aquarium is one of the restaurants in Grenada that never misses a beat! It is the only 'stand alone' 5 star restaurant on the island. The staff are always pleasant and accommodating. The restaurant is located on the beach and the calming effect of the waves makes you feel like you never want to leave! At the moment it's a takeaway service, so call them up and treat your palate. (FYI - this was a take away hence the packaging)

Beautiful beach front restaurant. I recommend their grilled salmon which tasted fresh with a nice char flavor to it. The complementary bread with herbed butter was a nice addition to the meal. Bathrooms are clean and the service was good.

Excellent location to dine and have drinks. Right on the beach. Only downfall was that reservations were made way before to have a table to listen to the band close up but didn't get it.

Beautiful view for lunch and dinner. Make sure you have a reservation. Service can be slow when the place gets busy. But we did enjoy the live music.

My second time it was my birth night dinner our bar tender was very engaging and friendly I don’t remember his name, the waitress appeared new but she was managing. Please add a variety of meat to your pepper pot it’s Guyana national dish look up the ingredients. I would visit again.

23.9.23. We personally had a very great experience at Aquarium one of our local favorite restaurants and #1 birthday celebrations spot! The staff were on point with service that night and the “Lobster Thermodore” our favorite dish there, was delicious! Thank you to the management and staff for making this a very good and memorable experience for us!

Amazing view 🫠I had the shrimp Alfredo and truffle fries . The Alfredo was way too cheesy and also I had a strawberry daiquiri best on the island. The servers are the best. I would definitely recommend

The location is awesome, service was exceptional, cocktails were delicious and the food was good. Just a high price in my opinion but their main drive or half at least seems to be tourist so the prices make sense I guess. Definitely get the muscels

Great restaurant located on the water. Made dinner reservations and we had a great meal and great service. Best part was the owner's dog Oreo who came to visit. Lots of parking on the property.

Decided to come here for my birthday dinner, we made reservations and let the staff know before hand it was a birthday being celebrated. Upon arrival we were seated deep in a corner by the kitchen doors in the back. I was quite upset because we sat in the dark and in the corner, I asked our waitress who seated us if we could be moved to the middle as we were celebrating my birthday and it was our first time in their establishment. She was rude and said no quite bluntly. It basically ruined my mood and night quite frankly, than my husband spoke to management and requested we be moved and finally she came back over and said grab all your stuff we’ll move you… after that experience I had a sour taste in my mind but the food overall was delicious so I will not take away from that. But the customer service was terrible. They did bring out a slice of cheese cake and a sparkler for my bday which was nice. I just expected better service with the cost of their establishment. I got the muscles and the lobster, my husband for the bruschetta and steak.

Umbrellas Beach Bar, located on Grand Anse Beach, Grenada, is a popular seafood restaurant with scenic views of the beach. The menu features many different ways to enjoy conch including in fritters and ceviche. If you are looking for a place to have a casual evening with friends or family, Umbrellas Beach Bar is a great option. There is also live music on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays which makes it an appealing spot for large gatherings.
This is a "must-go" when you're staying in the Grand Anse area. Great food (extensive menu) and a wonderful happy hour menu. Get the rum punch dusted with fresh nutmeg and the jerk chicken platter.

Reasonably priced, good food and located on the beach. Service was quick and wonderful. We ordered the blackened fish tacos and fries w cheese to share. Plenty of food...blackened fish was slightly overcooked but great flavor. Cheese fries served w brown gravy sauce. Others ordered the grilled fish tacos and said they were awesome. We were dropped off at the arts and craft market...it was approx 20 min walk on the beach to Umbrella's. Understood there was loads of sea glass but we never located any.

I loved the fun vibes off the beach and good service. We had the blacken shrimp which was delicious and the pork ribs that felll off the bone. The island jab wings were very saucey and good taste of sweet and spicy. Drinks were delicious but not very strong. It was a nice walk on the beach to get to this. It was very lively place

A perfect location right on Grand Anse beach! There’s an upper level that you can see the sunset from. Food wise I’ve been 3 times this week and haven’t been disappointed once! Highly recommend the jerk chicken breast, chicken tacos, Alfredo pasta and dill burger. All were very good. They also make a fab rum punch and all kinds of tropical drinks. Because of the heat we got a bucket of beers because service can be a little slow and you always have a beer on ice 😉 The service is on island time….don’t plan to be anywhere fast but enjoy the atmosphere! 🍹

Food had a good taste, but the chicken tacos weren't well done, raw inside! It takes quit long time to get your food. Don't know if I would recomend it!

Good American style food here. They were out of a lot of items this the reason for the four stars. My server was amazing and had a ton of knowledge to share. It was great speaking with her while I was visiting this restaurant. Very friendly and fast service

Great place with a varied menu at reasonable prices. Staff are efficient if not over friendly but no complaints. Burritos were huge and delicious and drinks are good and cold! Nice view over Grand Anse beach. We will definitely be back

This restaurant came highly recommended and I decided to try on my first night. I ordered the lobster with a side of garlic bread. As a foodie critic, I can’t explain how much I was disappointed with my lobster as it was chewy and bland. I was hungry after my 5 hours flight and ate it anyways. First of all, why are you only serving the tails but on the menu, it’s listed as grilled lobster. I am expecting the entire lobster especially when it’s priced at $115 ECD!! This is a total ripoff. To compound matters, my server didn’t visit my table for the entire night. I made my grievance known to the manager/supervisor who apologized for the poor service. The live band and cocktails were a big plus. I should have followed my instincts and go to Aquarium instead. Umbrellas, train your staff to be attentive to all guests at all times.

This lively beach restaurant serves typical bar food at a reasonable price. I would skip the frozen cocktails here as they were too sweet. The restaurant offers happy hour and special discounts on drinks each night of the week. The restroom is air-conditioned!

I personally love going here and sitting upstairs for the beautiful view. I had a blt salad with grilled fish and it was sooo good. We also shared the CARRIACOU love bites because it's one of our favorites(we always get this when we dine in). My friends had the chicken and chips combo (like always lol) crispy chicken sandwich and cheesy fries. We enjoyed our meal. Service was good and we will be back soon again ✨

We are in love with their Umbrella fish Nacho! My gosh they are amazing - Torritos instead of regular tortilla chips. They use tuna and their own salsa, which all go surprisingly well together. We went back today for the second time and it was still as awesome as the first time. Also ordered fish platter and catch of the day was also tuna, which we didn't mind. The tuna was grilled and seasoned beautifully. We will be back for these one more time before leaving 🤤
Charinthip Thanakijboonsri — Google review
The service was substandard. We had to wait about three minutes for cutlery and condiments after waiting an hour for the food. There was no apologies and the server was less than polite. I have been a customer for over 12 years. The chicken was too salty, the burger was dry. The ribs was good but the size shrunk and the price doubled. I am now reconsidering returning. Visited in 23.08.23

Great spot and a must try in Grenada. Specials are always on point! Food is delicious, jerk chicken is a must. Prices are great compared to most locations on Grand Anse. Always busy but worth the wait if there is a line

Lovely seating upstairs. Good view and airy. Very polite and helpful staff. A lot of choices. The cheesy cod fishcakes and blackened chicken breast with sides were very well tasting. Decent wine prices to be in Caribbean. We will surely come back.

This place is incredible. We came here for almost every meal when we were staying near by at the Radisson. The prices are reasonable and the food is just amazing. The jerk chicken is really delicious, but also super spicy - beware if you’re not spice tolerant!

This place was like an oasis! After a walk from Saint George, we walked along Grand Anse beach and came along Umbrella's Beach just set back a bit from the beach. There is a parking lot and a taxi pick up location here. The service is great and the food was delicious! We got the passion fruit zmoothy, a few Carib lagers, the lambi souce and the Italian Job salad. Two thumbs up!

Celebrated birthday dinner here, sat upstairs which was nice and breezy, great ambiance. The grilled fish tacos were delicious so were the spicy wings with sweet potato fries. A complimentary Red velvet cake and ice cream was served after dinner. Service was on point.

Nice restaurant bar by Grand Anse Beach. I got the grilled fish of the day with a side of vegetables. The tuna was seasoned nicely and fresh. I only gave three stars because the drinks was messed up twice from our table. The staff apologized for it and fixed it. Although, I have to say there drinks are pretty strong. Also, expect to wait 45 minutes to an hour for food. We came on a Monday night. The wait staff were kind though:) Edit: Tried the grilled fish tacos and the serving was pretty good. Also, the wait time was less than 30 minutes on a wednesday night.

Seafood restaurant
BB's Crabback is a seafood restaurant located in the lively Carenage district of Grenada overlooking the sparkling waterfront promenade. The menu features some of the best cuisine from Grenada and nearby islands, with dishes such as crab back, pumpkin fritters and fried plantain named after family members. Overlooking St. Georges Harbor, on the north side of The Carenage, BBs Crabback is an excellent choice for locals and tourists alike who enjoy fresh seafood.
I had a wonderful time at the restaurant! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was unbeatable. The chicken lunch special was a perfect choice. The stewed chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the sides were all delicious. I especially enjoyed the plantain and the dasheen. The chicken was not spicy at all, which was perfect for me because I don't like spicy food. The service was attentive and friendly, despite being understaffed. Our server was happy to answer our questions about the menu and to let us know how long our food would take to arrive. The atmosphere was the perfect complement to the food. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the harbor, and we could see the fish swimming in the crystal clear Caribbean sea.😘 I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal and a relaxing atmosphere. I understand that the service was slow due to being understaffed, but I still had a great experience. I would definitely come back again.

Definitely captured the island flavors. Pumpkin fritters are a must! The only place on the island that has fast service. Jerk chicken was spicy and flavorful. The fish was perfectly seasoned and cooked. If you visit Grenada you must add this to your to do list!

Wow, if I could add more stars I would! My absolute favorite place to eat on the entire island. We had the Fruit Punch, BB’s Crabback, the Signature Goat Curry, the Barracuda, the fried sweet potato, and the flaming banana dessert and not a single item disappointed. All were excellent dishes, but the barracuda, goat curry, and the Crabback really stood out to us. Phenomenal food, excellent service, beautiful location, and welcoming environment. I only wish we found it earlier on in our trip! We will definitely be back. Thank you BB and family!

The young lady who served us let's just say if u can by past her attire ,crazy attitude u can enjoy, my first time trying the Grenadian (oil down) really satisfying, you get to write your Names after eating ,as I said not the cleanest looking place and staff but I guess the place is very busy at all times, that ole skool cooking, feeling & looks ,if you're looking for the local dishes here would be it.

BB’s Crabback was my favorite piece of Grenada. I'm extremely thankful to our driver for this recommendation. If you’re looking to satisfy your tastebuds, this is the place to go. I couldn’t have chosen a better place to try Grenadian oil down for the first time; their national dish. I quite literally fell in love. The callaloo soup & fried bake was so incredible, we ordered a few more rounds to go back to our villa with. The fresh juice? Delicious. We took a few of those to go too. There weren’t any “to-go” cups, but that didn't disarm BB’s from making it happen with a couple styrofoam cups topped with foil lids. My partner & I liked his style. All of their items were fresh & deliciously tasteful. In paying my compliments to BB, I was happy to learn that everything was made in-house. As impressive as this place was, we decided to return & spend our final dinner here on the island. We were pleasantly rewarded with consistency in flavor & customer service. The man in charge understands quality of service & flavor; two key ingredients that were wonderful to experience here. If I ever visit Grenada again, it’s for BB’s Crabback.

This caribbean restaurant Patrick's Local Homestyle Cooking Restaurant has a wide variety of dishes to choose from, all made with fresh and quality ingredients. There's something for everyone on the menu, making it a great place to dine with friends. Plus, there are some vegan options available for those who prefer not to eat meat.
Fantastic low key spot for straight up home cooking. Went for lunch and ordered the fish and the goat curry dishes. They definitely have a following, people were getting take out and there was a regular flow of patrons. The service and staff were extremely hospitable and friendly. Surprise discovery, the green banana salad. So good!!!!! They offer cooking classes, which I would totally participate in, but I’m leaving tomorrow. Highly recommended.

This was one of my favorite places at the island. I ordered Oil Down With Curry Chicken. It’s an original Grenadian dish. The flavors blended so well together and the curry was pretty mild. The service was amazing and the staff make you feel like you are walking into their homes. The food also took only 15 minutes which in Grenada is very fast. Normal wait times are over an hour (in my personal experience only). ☺️

I’m coming from nyc with a Trinidadian background. I came for breakfast with friends and feel like the food could be better but the service was warm. The bakes, both roast and fried were very heavy and doughy. They’re supposed to be way softer and lighter. The salt fish needed to boil just a bit more as it was a touch too salty. The eggs were perfect though. It may have just been an off day so on my return to Grenada I would try them again as I love to support hyper local businesses. Wishing them continued success.

Amazing food, amazing vibes, amazing staff. This is the best sit down restaurant I have had the privilege of dining in. I highly recommend this establishment if you're located or visiting the beautiful island of Grenada. You're experience here will be one to remember. The food is delicious as they offer a wide range of local cuisine from iguana (when in season to vegan oil down (Grenada's national dish in vegan form). Food presentation and service are first class. Also, if you enjoy a drink you won't be disappointed by their drink menu and famous rum punch. If you don't have a lot of time and want take away, or delivery; Take away orders are accepted by telephone, while delivery is available via KariBites.com

No regrets visiting Patrick’s for dinner. If you want local flavors, this place is a must. Don’t get turned off by its location which is next to the busy main road. We had ginger pork and creole fish. Both dishes were super tasty. So was the rum punch! We would have gone back had we stayed in Grenada for longer. Service was also great, and prices are friendly.

The experience was average. The waiter did a good job accommodating us. However, it is helpful to know if they are out of a particular dish BEFORE ordering it. He took our order and came back at least 2 maybe 3 or more times to tell us they were out of what we ordered. This was disappointing. Also, one person with our group food wasn't even ready until the rest of us were almost done eating. For these reasons the experience and the food was just average.

This place was so good had to come back twice. If I could I would of been coming this place each night for dinner when I got to Grenada compared to the hotel food. The local Grenadian cuisine home cooked food served is sooo dang good(Oil down,Creole Fish, Roti, Lambdie) - is a MUST while your in Grenada. The seasoning, good portions, the service, and the owner Ms. Lauren was phenomenal.

On your way to Grand Anse Beach is a restaurant called Patrick’s Local Homestyle Restaurant. It doesn’t look like much but sometimes that’s a good thing. My wife and I stopped by on our way back from the beach. Beers were cold. I ordered the ginger pork and my wife had creole fish. Both were pretty darn good. Second day we came back for the oil down. Heard so much about it I had to try it. Gotta say it was good but not my favorite dish. While we were eating I noticed they offered cooking classes. We signed up. I originally though I’d rate this place four stars but after we took our cooking class, I knew it had to be a five. We made…..stewed chicken, curry chicken, banana salad, cucumber fritters, peas and rice and stewed pumpkin. Holy cow one of the best meals I had on the island. Absolutely delicious. If you’re on the island of Grenada, give this place a try. Try a cooking class too. They close the restaurant down for you!!

This laid-back hotel, which offers a restaurant with a terrace as well as event space, is located on a quiet beach in Grenada. It is one of the most secluded and romantic restaurants in Grenada, and it is only accessible by villagers and hikers who pass by. The Beach Restaurant is a funky canteen-style affair with open-air seating that can be enjoyed while wearing shoes off.
A hidden paradise! If you are in Grenada, get away from the crowds and spend time here. Waking up in the cottage with the sound of birds singing and waves crashing was like a dream. The beach is steps from your room and beach chairs and towels are provided. The palm trees provide plenty of shade and swimming is great at the beach. I wished I could have stayed longer!

La Sagesse Hotel is AMAZING. This is our second stay and we highly recommend staying here during your trip to Grenada. The accomodations are perfectly Caribbean - the ocean view, the sound of the waves breaking steps from your room, tree frogs chirping quietly - it's what you think a boutique Caribbean resort should be. But, quite affordable. Plus, the chef, Carol is absolutely top notch - the food is out of this world. And, if that isn't enough, Sammy, Eldridge, Caroline and and the entire staff make you feel like family. This is a must experience in Grenada.

We did not stay at the hotel. We travelled to have a nice lunch by the water. The view was excellent and the is where it stopped. The service was terrible. The menu advertised fresh catch sandwich and when asked what the fresh catch was, we were told Mahi Mahi. I ordered the sandwich and was promptly told that it would be tuna???? Why they could not accommodate the Mahi Mahi is very suspect. The service beyond that was sorely lacking in promptness, attentiveness and accuracy. Very disappointed and will not recommend or go back personally.
