Negril

Negril is a town in western Jamaica. It’s known for its miles of sandy beaches on shallow bays with calm, turquoise waters. Seven Mile Beach, particularly the portion overlooking Long Bay, is lined with bars, restaurants and resorts, many of them international and all-inclusive. Long Bay opens onto a lagoon protected by coral reefs and is a snorkeling and scuba-diving destination.

Caribbean restaurant
At Rick's Cafe in Negril Jamaica, visitors can enjoy Caribbean food and cocktails while enjoying the Jamaican sunset. The restaurant has a pool and cliffside jumping spots for visitors to enjoy.
Lovely Christmas Dinner and cocktails, and the service was friendly and prompt. We got the squid for starters which was fresh and well seasoned (so good we ordered another portion before the mains arrived). For mains we got the fish, wings, prawn pasta and the lobster which went down very well. The atmosphere was great and we ended up spending the whole day after we finished eating just having drinks, watching the crowd downstairs and watching the gorgeous sunset. Such a great Christmas 🥰

5 stars, great upbeat atmosphere. DJ and dancers included the crowd for some entertainment. Professional cliff jumpers were great to watch and the view is amazing. Sat upstairs and only two bathrooms which made for lines but staff was standing near them keeping them clean (also had a tip jar in the bathroom). Food was good as well as service. Would definitely recommend a visit.

The view is great. Did not try the food but looked/smelled good very touristy spot. We went driving ourselves not with tour boat/bus so the place was pretty empty and slow. Some workers asked few times to buy them a beer it started to get annoyed but the place looked very well managed with many people working almost feel overstaffed but I know when I went was slow time. I was staying at negril hotel so sunset didn’t do it for me at this spot. Jumping area looked cool and water looked very clean. They say anyone can jump but the highest spot (only one crew does it). Just not sure why this place is so popular (5stars?) there’s other hotels in this area with great view and has cliff..

Rick’s Cafe felt like a nightclub more than anything else - I wasn’t a fan of that. I read that the sunset here was gorgeous, and it was, but it was so loud I couldn’t enjoy it at all. The pool was pretty nice, the cliff area was beautiful and dangerous, the food is mediocre, and the gift-shop was way over priced. Just a one time thing for us. Maybe we would come back during the day to see if the atmosphere is different?
Michelle Landaverde — Google review
We visited in the afternoon so it was pretty muted as far as the vibe. The food is forgettable but the views are awesome and the cliff jumping is cool. You start at 11 feet, then they let you jump from about 25 feet. If you do that well, they let you try 35 feet. The highest 50 foot is for the staff divers only and they ask for money to watch them jump.
Scott Williams — Google review
Always good to stop in and watch the divers or dive yourself. This time I went I didn't dive but I ate at the restaurant this time. Great music and food for sure. If I had more time I would have jumped off the baby cliff. Don't be scared!

Awesome atmosphere, loved watching people cliff dive, and eat yummy food. The sunset was a bit masked by the clouds but that’s how it is sometimes, still beautiful in the cliffs.
Mekah Kaur — Google review
Great entertainment, dancers. Music No entry fee, free parking across the street. Cliff jumpers, anyone can jump from the cliff, a small cliff and big cliffs. Food is ok, nothing great. Great spot for tourist. Big place, lot of seating.
Rachna Chandra — Google review
Great spot for the experience!!! Free entry Great background music Great food and drinks Our waiter was timely and didn’t scaffold us. The view was spectacular. You can opt to dive or watch person’s dive. This is an experience everyone should experience at least once in their life.

Oh my gosh! What a great place. The vibe is great, the food is good, with a good amount of choice. Great views, great music, great entertainment and those jumpers!!! Loved it here. Would come every day for my daily dose of good vibes, if I could, was such fun.

This place was awesome to visit. You have people jumping off the cliff, live music, and beautiful sunset. There's security at the door, so my wife amd I felt safe. It's was a large party while we saw the sun sink in to the sea. Absolutely beautiful and fun. The Buffalo wings were good 👍
Carlos Gutierrez — Google review
Love the atmosphere and how they utilise the s0ace they have. They're currently expanding as a bit of construction work is happening, but it doesn't affect the rest of the property. The best time to go here is in the afternoon. When the sun is cooling down. We went in the morning as they were opening, when it was empty but it was extremely hot. The food is a little pricey so we didn't eat there. It was more like a pass through, but I will be going back for the full experience of diving, dining, and the live music.
Petal Russell — Google review
Talking about a breathtaking view of the Caribbean Sea and the natural cliffs that are a part of the tundra, Rick's Cafe gave you an option to view Negril other than the 7 Mile Beach. We also had a great chance to see one of the divers jump from roughly 100 feet into the lagoon portion and it will leave a lasting impression. The food options were okay and the gift shop had some good choices as memories. If you are in Negril, visit Rick's Cafe to enjoy some local flair. As a footnote, it was excellent that they keep everyone safe via at least checking the temperatures and offering sanitizer.

Please ignore the bad reviews, honestly, this place is the one! We were served by Theodore, lovely lad. The scenery is the best around. Cliff jumping, food and cocktails, not to be missed ❤️ absolutely amazing experience. We even had a giggle with the store staff on our way out. As advised by others to go early if you prefer it a little quieter, or if you like the hustle and bustle and you don't want to miss the sunset then 2pm onwards is for you. Good music, spectacular views and lovely staff.

What a fun bar to visit!! Love the atmosphere and entertainment, it’s a good time for all age groups. The divers really put on a show with all flips and moves , very impressive and exciting to watch. The show is fun and interactive also. Make sure you stick around to see the beautiful sunset ( 5:30-6pm) Definitely place for Great photos too. Also a mini pool you can relax in and order drinks / food. I haven’t had food from there only drinks, they were reasonable priced and pretty good . A little sweet on mix drinks.
Kenyahna Johnson — Google review
Had a blast there and we made sure to jump off the cliff, my tailbone hurts as a result but it's totally worth it lol. The food was pricey but it's to be expected with tourist spots so I wasn't all that surprised. Had a great time and I even got pulled on stage for a little game. Definitely a fun spot and recommend that visitors should jump so that they will have that experience and not regret it later.
Dashix — Google review
Ricks café has a beautiful view! The ambiance it’s great all day! There’s is a pool, changing stalls and decent restrooms for your use. The staff was attentive but the wait time to get your food is long so make sure you order ahead of time and not when your starving! The have a souvenir store as you come in which was very convenient. You can not take food/drinks inside. The prices were somewhat highly but we didn’t mind it since the place was well worth it. Would definitely recommend to visit this place!
Wendy Nava — Google review
Rick’s cafe was a cool place to swim party. People there were very fun to hang out with and the DJ made it funnier. The sunset view was beautiful and it cool to see people diving off the high cliff. Must go visit if you’re in town.
Hoang Dang — Google review
Took the "Little Reefer" tour, and this was a stop. Great time, crazy heights to jump from! I went off the 25ft ... Don't jump with your phone...I thankfully, I was able to get my back (for a fee), but it got a priceless video
K Minor — Google review
We did not eat there so I cannot vouch for their food. However, their drinks were quite tasty although they were not cheap. Rick's is one of those places. You just have to go to at least once just for the natural ambience. If cliff jumping is your thing, you're going to love this place.
Dexter Morgan — Google review
The bar staff were friendly, we didn’t have to wait long for our food. The cocktails are well made (they have a nice amount of alcohol, so worth the $$) The overall entertainment of the DJ & Dancers was very fun, they got guests involved. We only went for lunch but stayed until after sunset cause the entertainment was soo good.
Trishoya Grant — Google review
Love the vibes, always a good time. The drinks are a bit pricey but strong. The sunsets are great. Come in from a catamaran if you get the chance. Dance the night away!
Casey Elliott — Google review
This place was amazing! We all loved it so much. The bar tender was so funny! We talked and had a blast. We loved the vibe and chill here. It's definitely our place. Amazing spot to jump in the water if you wanted to jump in. Cost $ the drinks were reasonably priced and strong. Worth the price. The meals were the same as everywhere else. But eating on the cliff is just magical!

Rick's Cafe in Negril is a fun restaurant! We went there for dinner after a relaxing day on the beach. The food was pretty good. I didn't have any drinks since we had to drive back to Montego Bay but the drinks looked good. This place had fun entertain and great views. I saw they had a pool too.

What can I say! Amazing vibes, full of energy in the entire area! The whole environment and venue is a vibe. Good music, good food. And lots of fun. It's a must visit venue when you come to Jamaica.

Captain Jace Allen Glass Bottom Boat Tours in Negril offers a unique way to explore the marine life and underwater scenery of Negril. With a glass bottom boat, you can enjoy undisturbed views of the ocean's beauty while gliding across the water. Captain Jace is known for his personable and knowledgeable approach, providing valuable insights into the local history and wildlife during tours.
We had a fantastic day with Capt Jace and his team. Our guide on the reef was very good and interesting, shown us a lot of sea life we would have missed without his advice. Lunch on Booby cay was delicious and copious, probably the best lobster I ever had. We had fun with the other guests and the crew and learned a lot about the area and culture. I strongly recommend.
Nathalie — Google review
Captain Jace took us on an awesome and personalized boat tour to the best caves and reefs, and to pass by Rick’s to see folks jumping off. With our group being first-time snorkelers, Captain Jace was patient with us, happy to show us how to do things, and led us through some fantastic snorkeling spots. He was also knowledgeable about the history of the island and explained things as we went along. Captain Jace was also much more cautious and safety-conscious than the other boats we see in the Bay, we felt very safe in his hands. As an added bonus, Jace was very friendly and so much fun to be around! It’s clear that he’s passionate about what he does, and his happiness is contagious. This was an incredible experience and we’d recommend Captain Jace’s boat tours to anyone. We will definitely be back! Thank you Captain Jace!!

The best of the best!! Awesome in every way possible. He went out of his way and went above and beyond to show us some real culture in Jamaica. Jace , Nicky and their girls are such an awesome family. Can't wait to see them again soon. ♥️♥️♥️

Our family of 6, including two teenagers and two elementary school kids had an excellent tour with Jace and Raheem. It was the highlight of our trip for sure!! I have been snorkeling many places and we very impressed and grateful for Raheem guiding us in the water and taking good care of the little ones. We swam the caves, reefs, and stopped for beef patties, Rick's Cafe and Margaritaville. A blast had by everyone, very comfy boat, easy to get in and out of. And Captain Jace was very patient with my 6 year old who swung from super happy to panicked when a bit of ocean water got in her eye, lol!! My kids have already asked to go out again with Captain Jace and Raheem because they are our new friends ❤️ Thanks for an amazing day!! We will be back next time we get the chance to be in Jamaica 🇯🇲 😎

We had a great day Great boat crew and captain /chef. Lunch was very tasty - grilled lobster , jerk chicken with mixed vegetables. plenty of drinks available. Very enjoyable trip , highly recommend

Honestly by far the best tour guide experience I have ever had! Captain Jace was so personable, knowledgeable, open and honest and it just made the experience so much more valuable. He offers many tour experiences and our party went on the Negril River Tour. During this time Captain Jace easily pointed out all the foliage, and wildlife right down to the tiniest of birds with ease. He took the time to explain the history of the Negril River which was so informative! We will most definitely return to Jamaica and be seeking out Captain Jace again for future tours! I highly recommend you reach out to him for your tour experience!

Best boat tour and snorkeling in Negril hands down. We had a great time with captain Jace and his crew Skippa and Tippi.........captain Jace was very knowledgeable as he took us on the tour and responded very quickly to take care of our last minute booking. Not to mention the food he cooked! The hotel let us down by not having good Jamaican food but bwoy did captain Jace deliver, while we went snorkeling he prepared some fresh lobster, jerk chicken, rice and peas with tuna for when we got back which was delicious! Shout out to the bartender Skippa for keeping us good with drinks and our snorkeling guide Tippi for taking good care of us in the water. Thanks again guys!

We’ve been to Jamaica 3 times, but the visit we had with Captain jace allen and his crew was undoubtedly the best! The boat, the charisma of the crew, the island, and especially the food. It was all amazing! The kids loved it, my wife loved it, I loved it. 100% recommend as someone you have to visit if you ever go to Jamaica 🇯🇲

Jamaican restaurant
Located in Sav, Sweet Spice Restaurant offers a laid-back atmosphere and generous portions of local dishes. While the food is consistently well-seasoned and flavorful, some visitors feel that the menu could use more variety. The decor creates a unique dining experience reminiscent of being on a pirate ship. Despite the need for some updates, the overall ambiance is enjoyable. The staff provides good customer service, and prices are reasonable. However, be prepared for a relaxed dining experience with potential wait times for your meal.
Dare to go off the beaten track to eat delicious food and dine with and like the locals. This place is super cool. I love the vibe and space. Service was fabulous and very friendly and also quick with hot food. Drinks are fun and many natural. The food is delicious with generous portions. So do give it a try. Very good customer service, my expectations for taste of foods was not there ,specially for fried rice but price is very reasonable and not expensive. there was no much crowd for dine in but I noticed that big waiting line for takeaway. Location also perfect, no issues with parking, we had enough parking spaces. Don’t expect indian foods or that taste from this restaurant.

Hadn't been here for some years but the quality of the food was still as good as ever. Their Oxtail and curry goat are the best in Negril! Get there early or order in advance because these are two of their most popular dishes. 🍲🍲🍲👍🏾

Highly recommended if you are in town. Great natural juices and local food at reasonable prices. In season, try the ackee and fish! Great experience overall.

Great place to eat in Negril! Friendly staff, reasonable prices, generous portions. OMG the food! The surf and turf was fantastic! The steak had a peppered sauce that I could not stop eating and the grilled lobster…YUM! This place is a MUST to eat at.

This restaurant was really nice. Staff was friendly and service was great. Food was so good! Had the curry goat with rice and peas with soursop juice. My friend had the Irish moss and that tasted amazing too! I would definitely visit again!
Cherylin Mcpherson — Google review
Food was okay I expected a little more spiciness in my food since I went for the local type of restaurant. Jerk chicken was alright. And the amount of oxtail is very generous, the fried fish with the sauce was on point tho. juices and smoothies however are pretty GOOD! The atmosphere is very laid back, feels as if you having dinner with a local family. IF you coming from like LA or NYC or any major city expect to wait for your food. It’s VERY laid back. Relax have a conversation and wait. FYI

Delicious food. Great prices. I had curry goat and my son had a lobster salad. ( I was able to feed three people and only spend $38 USD can't do that in America)

As many times as we travel to Jamaica we have never made it to Sweet spice. We heard how great it was and finally decided to give it a try. My husband said it was his best meal we had in jamaica. I was also pleased with my meal. I told the server not very spicy and it had the perfect amount of spice. We will definitely be going back and recommending to friends

The name of this restaurant say it all. Highly recommended. Mouth-watering, tasty, delicious are just a few words to describe the food. It's good to call and order in advance though because it's usually full of walk-in customers
Rayland Brown — Google review
The food is always consistent at Sweet Spice. It's well seasoned and flavourful, however their menu could do well with some newly added variety. I always enjoy their Beef Chop Suey and recently tried their Grilled Chicken and Chicken Fried Rice which were delightful. The facilities are in need of a facelift but the overall atmosphere is enjoyable due to the decor, which feels as though you've gone below deck on a pirate ship. The staff is okay. They are helpful and polite for the most part, but as seen in most Jamaican establishments, will prefer to promptly greet tourists and not acknowledge locals until they deem it fit. Not a bad experience overall.
Jen L — Google review
Great stuff here. Straight to the point deliciousness. Had the oxtail and the curry chicken. Both great. Good pricing as well. Had some fresh fruit drinks on the side as well. Complimentary chicken soup to start really gets you rev’d up with its spicy kick.
G D12 — Google review
This used to be my go to spot! I've recommended this restaurant to A LOT of tourist because I believe in supporting locals... Nope not anymore!!! The service in 9 months is HORRIBLE!! You can't even get a glass of water without seeming like you're bothering the waitress. They run to the back or scroll through their cell phone and you get no service. Literally they said they are waiting for the other shift to come in before taking care of us.. Boxed my food up and left.

Negril Craft Market is a wonderful establishment that offers a delightful and supportive service, with a strong emphasis on supporting local artisans. The store boasts an impressive array of diverse products, all at significantly more affordable prices compared to those found in Times Square. Customers can expect warm and amiable customer service from the friendly staff members who are more than willing to assist with any inquiries.
Warm and friendly customer service and a wide variety of craft items

Legit Jamaican vibe crafts and souvenirs. Everyone is friendly AF, obviously they all want you to come in their shop but are still nice and not too pushy if you don't buy anything. The wood carved items are quite amazing and make it worth a look around.

We had a great time there shopping and meeting some of the vendors
Sharon Boucher-Haskins — Google review
Went there on the way to Rick's Cafe. Lots of huts/shops selling gifts and souvenirs. We were the only ones there at the time of a vist and tbh, didn't feel overly safe. Vendors weren't being that pushy to be fair, the usual, but all the items were inside the dark shops with not much outside. Not for us.

Very lovely service, I love to support the locals. So many varieties and the prices are ALOT more reasonable than Times Square. We visited Joy and she was such a delight..all the ladies were and no hassle.

Do not ever park your rental car in front of this craft market. We parked the car and went to the beach. When we came back we found the driver side door was open and the gear was left on drive. Apparently they were trying to steal the car.

Outdoor Activities
Negril's Seven Mile Beach, appropriately named for its six-mile stretch of golden sands, is one of Jamaica's most renowned beaches. While it may not be as wild as in the past, visitors can still enjoy the sunset at Ricks Cafe and watch cliff jumpers while sipping on a cold Red Stripe beer. The beach offers a laid-back atmosphere where beachgoers can get their hair braided or indulge in an aloe massage.
This is beautiful Seven Mile Beach, Mon. We go a couple times a year For the white sand crystal clear clean sea water amazing food and locals who treat you like a friend whether they know you or not. Book Gavin Tours for ur transfer. He is professional, yet friendly & fun! Wish I could live here and I may some day!

One of the best beaches in Jamaica, hands down. It is free, which makes it even better. It is lined with resorts and loud music, but if you walk the opposite direction of the resorts, it is more local, quiet, and more chill. The water is a gorgeous green even on a cloudy day. I swam when it was sprinkling and it felt great. There are people who walk up and down the beach and sell food and coconut water which adds to its charming atmosphere. Definitely get a patty when relaxing or taking a break from the water, it will hit the spot.
Mekah Kaur — Google review
clean beach and it’s very pretty, water is clear the downsides there’s no chairs or spots to chill and hang ur stuff like other more local beaches, it’s clear that they’re only gearing towards tourists and there’s multiple venders asking you to buy stuff all the time. other than that it’s a cute beach

Tasha Terrigno — Google review
Flat out one of the best beaches in Jamaica. Love that entry access is free. The vendors will walk up the shore peddling food and tours. Just say no thank you and they keep it moving. But spend plenty of hours out here, and soak up as much sun as you can stand. Tey to catxh the sunset if you can. Also, some sections of the beach & sea are off limits to post up chairs and umbrellas, as they are beachfront property for some of the hotels. However, you can walk up & down the entire beach as much as you'd like. If you want more chairs and drinks/food, you can slide down to the Margaritaville section and enjoy it all. Finding parking can be iffy, as you might have to park on the street and walk over, as lots are small.
Craig Prater — Google review
Even if you don't participate in the Reggae Marathon, the Negril Seven Mile Beach is a beautiful beach to visit. I absolutely loved my time here. There's seven miles of beach, so there's more than enough room to grab some sand and chill. The water is calming and clear, but there are areas where it's "busy". Every beach has its spots and this beach is no exception.
Gwendolyn R Houston-Jack — Google review

Rick’s cafe was a cool place to swim party. People there were very fun to hang out with and the DJ made it funnier. The sunset view was beautiful and it cool to see people diving off the high cliff. Must go visit if you’re in town.

Took the "Little Reefer" tour, and this was a stop. Great time, crazy heights to jump from! I went off the 25ft ... Don't jump with your phone...I thankfully, I was able to get my back (for a fee), but it got a priceless video

We did not eat there so I cannot vouch for their food. However, their drinks were quite tasty although they were not cheap. Rick's is one of those places. You just have to go to at least once just for the natural ambience. If cliff jumping is your thing, you're going to love this place.

Love the vibes, always a good time. The drinks are a bit pricey but strong. The sunsets are great. Come in from a catamaran if you get the chance. Dance the night away!

Margaritaville Negril is a vibrant beachfront spot with daily DJs, live music, and fun mini-games. It offers delicious jerk chicken and strong cocktails right off the beach. Visitors can choose to dine in the restaurant or relax on complimentary beach chairs, with the option to rent an umbrella for a fee. The location also provides easy access to Seven Mile Beach and offers catamaran rides to Ricks Cafe.
Lit all, day everyday. Generous portions. Vendors are selling items and catamarans are loading on the beach area. This place has something for everybody. Eat, drink, shop, water sports, bathrooms. Open air and spacious.

It was nice. However, they promised reggae music only after 6 pm never happened! Our burgers were too overdone! They didn't have two of the popular sandwiches: pulled pork and Cuban sandwiches. However, their seafood chowder was the BEST I ever tasted!! Our servers and other staff were very friendly and courteous! The Friday Bonfire was a great touch!

. I didn't eat there and was told I can't stand on the beach as I didn't buy anything. Very rude staff and the owner. Best to go across the road through the beach and eat at Vinnie's Bar and Grill It is a great place, delicious food, friendly staff and real authentic food. The Oxtail was delicious and the jerk chicken. Great prices too.

Long long beach was nice and the sea was warm and inviting. But, constant thump of amplified music and DJ chat. Wears thin at my age. I don't like fried chicken and sand and the drinks were expensive. It's a party beach I know.

Came here to actually go onto Seven Mile Beach & get drinks. First, know that entry is FREE. You can walk the coast, but only certain portions can you lay out your towels and beach chairs/umbrellas, due to hotels making their sand areas private. Finding parking in their lot is the main challenge. Anyway, had a great afternoon here. Water was calm & warm. Whike you're in the ocean, they'll ask you if you want to ride the inner tube attached to the speed boat. We were able to get a beach chair with an umbrella, even on a crowded beach. Went to get drinks and was able to walk right up to the bar w/ no wait. Drinks were priced fair. Bathrooms were adequate. When we were leaving, the rinse-off station was only operating at 50% due to 3 of the spouts not working. Just a perfect day in Negril.

This place was a whole vibe! Everyone was so friendly! Be ware of the salesmen on the beach that are trying to sell products! The DJ was great and everyone seemed to have a good time. They definitely give large helpings of food from what I saw. I was doing a catamaran excursion that left from there and it was definitely lively!

You can't come to Negril and not visit Margaritaville. We got here a little early an it wasn't open so we took walk down the road to some shops. When we came back the views of the amazing turquoise water just hits you. The place is lovely with a good vibe, pretty expensive so I would stay for too long. Having a beer looking out at the ocean you instantly smile. We would definitely call here again for a drink when we visit Jamaica again

Great spot! Food was great and the watermelon hydrator was fabulous! 😃 We had a group of 30 upstairs where we COMPLETELY enjoyed the breeze, music and had a little dance floor.😃 The catamaran ride and water trampoline looked fun. We didn't have time for that since we were on an excursion. I could have spent the day here. 😊 Our ONLY challenge was that she put all of our tables on one bill. Some of us paid upstairs and others paid downstairs to make it faster. I paid and headed to the bus but I heard folks complaining on the bus..🙄 I had to remind them... Relax... we are in Jamaica Mon!😃

Love the vibe! They have DJs everyday, live music, mini games (hosted by djs) locals dancing, yummy jerk chicken, strong cocktails. This location is right off the beach. You can dine in the restaurant or beach chairs whatever you prefer. Beach chairs are free but pay $15 with one with umbrella. Women’s restroom only had 3 stalls but were kept clean when we were there. This is also the place if you want to ride the catamaran to Ricks Cafe! You can book it right on the spot early in the morning. I believe it was $80 usd that includes snorkeling, cruise to Ricks and back to the restaurant with drinks and snacks included in cruise.

what a nice place to spend the afternoon! the food was absolutely delicious and the frozen drinks quite refreshing. best of all you get to enjoy it all with your feets in the sand when you sit downstairs, on the beach side. it is also the pick up point for the catamaran boat tour that brings you up to ricks cafe. so you can lay on the beach chairs or swim while you wait

Love the location, set-up, and atmosphere. The restaurant is open and right on the beach. They have a few options of how you want to dine, whether upstairs, downstairs, in the sand area, or on the beach. It was 3 of us, and we got pastas and jerk bbq chicken. I was disappointed with the pasta. It was really oily rather than creamy, but the jerk bbq chicken was a hit!! The drinks are really good, but it's full-time Magaritaville get back their souvenir cups!! Can't be advertising drinks with them and don't have any in stock. Bathrooms and showers are clean. Ample parking, and you can utilise the beach area and get a quick swim with little to no people right before they open at 10 am. It does get crowded at certain times of the day. I will visit this location again for sure.

Pleasantly surprised after reading a couple of reviews. We went for dinner so didn't see any of the daytime activities. It wasn't packed which was great for us, but other diners were present. Food came quickly and very tasty, especially the quesidillas. The kids ordered smoothies which were good. We didn't have any cocktails so can't opine on those. Nice calm ambience with music playing in the background. Service was excellent.

Overall experience was good at this location. We got in a bit late in the afternoon and didn't get to go enjoy the ocean but the food was worth mostly. I ordered the Jerk Chicken meal and substituted the rice with fries. It was a huge portion and it was cooked well done and seasoned generously. We also ordered fish tacos and that was disappointing. Definitely NOT snapper fish even though we asked before ordering. Tasted like unseasoned whiting. I also ordered the dirty banana for my drink and was sorely disappointed ☹️. Absolutely no alcohol was included, I couldn't believe it. My partner also ordered an alcoholic drink and was very upset. Also, no taste of banana was very disappointing. The manager had to bring over a shot of rum. She said they used banana puree and a small amount of liquor. Honestly, I think they poured water in any liquor they served with drinks to stretch it. I mean come on, that was dirty for the price. With an establishment of this magnitude I was truly surprised at this behaviour. If we didn't call for a manager the waiter would have acted like we were lying. Definitely a bad way to do business. Other than that, the atmosphere was nice and lots of people were around enjoying a sun filled evening.

Ofcourse it’s expensive to compare with locals, especially this places in Negril for foreigners to spend 💰 those places should better pay in USD as recommend because sometimes exchange rates are higher.

The beach is beautiful, water clear blue, white sand ..we didn't order off the food menu... did look appetizing. We enjoyed lounging and occasional dip in the water to cool down. Highly recommend renting an umbrella as the sun is brutal. The staff was friendly ensured we were comfortable before flagging waitstaff for our drink order...Drink fast! Before you know it drinks are room temp. Next round we order a bucket which came with ice that helped keep drinks cool..

Ivan's is a great restaurant for Jamaican food with a contemporary twist, as well as scenic views. The food is delicious, and the service is top-tier.
A true treat. We were celebrating my wife's birthday, and my sister had made our reservations as she's a top Jamaican travel agent. We got one of the 2 best tables for watching the sunset. Service was friendly and courteous, with enough, but not too much attention. The food was lovely, starting with the pumpkin soup, an island favorite. The grounds were spectacular, with cliffs and caves, and the aforementioned sunset views. Note that they take sanitation very seriously, as do many places. Hand washing before entering the restaurant is highly encouraged.

You just gotta go to Ivan’s Bar! Offers a great selection of cocktails and drinks. Happy Hour runs from 3-5 daily and offers a variety of specials to choose from. Say a special hello to Andy and Randy! Come for great food and drinks and stay for the most amazing sunset of your life. Some nights, they set up 100 candles on the garden paths - so romantic. There’s a lot of different seating to choose from too: by the bar, near the restaurant, on a patio, overlooking the ocean, or up in the Birds Nest! On logistics, you can access wifi as well. And the bathrooms are clean.

Incredible food, amazing views and the best staff and vibes! We stopped by for sunset drinks and dinner and weren’t disappointed! We ordered: - bruschetta - the tomatoes were so fresh and flavorful that it felt like an explosion in my mouth - the jerk pasta for vegetarians is incredible. Love the spice and the veggies and the flavors. Ask for spicy if you’re into that. - my partner ordered the curried chicken and said that she thoroughly enjoyed it and gave her some Indian flavors mixed in with Jamaican flavors! Can’t go wrong with that!! I loved that they started us off with a bowl of soup on the house!

Excellent excellent service. The location is amazing right in West End. Unfortunately we went in the night but even so the moonlit sky from our table overlooking the ocean was a great view. The meals were quite delicious and well done. Very mouthwatering and we opted for blended juices which were done just right. Highly recommend the soursop juice. If you ever thought this place was overrated think again. It’s really as good as you hear 😊😊

My wife and I loved this place. We went here for a 40th anniversary dinner and we had the best table in the house right on the edge of the cliff. Beautiful views, delicious food good service. We have quite a few selections on our own Resort which is all inclusive, but we wanted to do something different. It was romantic and something we will remember for a long time. We would go here again for sure and we would recommend it to anyone who wanted a dinner off the resort and had a a very nice restaurant with an excellent view. Right next door to Rick's Cafe. Table 23 is the best in the house. Just in case you want to know. We might be back again next year because we'll be here again next year! A great experience.

Ivan's is located on the cliffside. Parking is difficult to find, as with most other places that side, so keep that in mind. Beautiful view, beautiful location. Staff was friendly and we were seated immediately. We got a nice table overlooking the sunset, only to be told by the hostess that she has to move us because her boss had reserved that table for some friends and they weren't aware of it until just now..ok then. We were seated in a more crowded area (strike one). Table had no tablecloth, which we asked for. The waitress said she wasn't sure if they had any more available, but she would check. They found one and the guys set the table pretty quickly and apologized for that. We placed our order and enjoyed the view. Food came out in a reasonable time I believe, however, it was salty (strike two). I honestly didn't enjoy the "stuffed" fish fillet with callaloo and cream cheese I think it was. I just ate it for eating sake. My friend's food was okay, not the greatest but okay. Our waitress was clearly too busy because she barely checked in on us (strike three). We had to go up to the front and try to signal her. We asked if she forgot us, which she admitted she did (strike four). She said she'd be back to collect the pay as she was serving beverages to another table (which we saw). We waited and waited. I actually had to go to the hostess and let her know we're trying to pay our bill and leave. She eventually got through to her and we were able to apologize, with lots of "I'm sorry's". I find that sometimes when I go to tourist areas in my own country, they don't treat me the same 🤷🏼‍♀️, but it is what it is. We went because it was recommended by a friend. Would I go back? Undecided.

We stayed at Catcha for 7 nights and ate most of our breakfasts along with some lunches and dinners at Ivan’s. Each staff member we encountered was happy, friendly, and provided excellent service. I wish I could remember the names of all the servers but the two I do remember are Davinia and Ardia. Big shout out to the restaurant manager along with evening chefs Shelley and Garfield whose cooking was outstanding. Some of our favorite lunch and dinner dishes were the jerk chicken penne, lobster thermidor, crab cakes, and the bird of paradise. Tasty breakfast items included the country style platter with banana pancakes, stuffed potato with callaloo and cheese, and the sausage hash. We can’t wait to return and highly recommend dining at Ivan’s for a truly special experience.

Nestled on the cliffs of Negril, 3 Dives Restaurant & Cliff Bar is a hidden gem known for its succulent slow-cooked chicken and homemade granny sauce that patrons often buy to take home. The woodland setting features painted picnic tables under wood overhangs nestled among the trees. In addition to their fantastic jerk chicken, the restaurant offers fresh lobsters, grilled shrimp, and an array of seasonings at reasonable prices.
Bring cash. Best meal we had in Negril. I didn’t want to eat at ricks because I read the food wasn’t great. So I searched for best food Negril and 3 dives came up. I agree, this was the best food we ate in Negril. The owner was so warm and friendly! The food was FIRE!! Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and delicious. I wish we would have visited sooner, we would have eaten here often. The pumpkin rice was fantastic! The callaloo and cabbage was better then any I’ve ever had. The opener said everything was made with love and man do you taste it!!! Highly recommend. As previously stated, it was my BEST MEAL in Negril! Also you can access the ocean from the restaurant if you care for a swim.

Plenty of spots to sit down and eat and the view from the cliff is very lovely and romantic at sunset. The food does take a while (1hr+) so just be prepared to wait but it is worth it. We had the jerk chicken, we went to spot at least three times while we visited. Open till late. Local come hang out here too, can smoke freely. Some Parking available onsite

3 Dives is a great place to have dinner and catch the sunset. It is located on a grassy clifftop with picnic tables all over. We had a 1/2 chicken, rice and peas, plantains, and festival. We received mostly white meat and it was a bit dry, but the smoke flavour was great and the jerk sauce was the best we'd had on the island. We liked it so much that my partner bought a water bottle of sauce for $1750JMD. The festival and plantain were also delicious. Festival is always good, but 3 Dives has a really good one. There looks to be a little swimming spot as well, as there is a ladder to get down to to the ocean, but we did not partake. I see some reviews saying cash only, however we were able to pay with credit.

By far one of the best places I've been to in Jamacia for the Lobster. The view from the cliffs out onto the sea was awe inspiring. It may take a bit of time for them to cook your food but it's well worth the wait, after all good things take time. It has that rustic laid back vibe, the one that you always read about but never quite find. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed

"Best In The West" is a casual restaurant in Negril that offers delicious Jamaican cuisine, with a focus on jerk dishes. Customers have raved about the spicy jerk spices and the perfectly cooked curry chicken. The menu also includes jerk pork, curry shrimp, and refreshing beverages. The service staff is known for being courteous and professional. Visitors recommend trying the jerk pork with rice and peas as well as the well-seasoned chicken soup.

We saw a few reviews online and they seemed great so we thought we would give it a try. We stopped in to this cool little spot which was not to far from our villa and we are glad we did. The food was delicious. Jerk spices were really spicy which we loved. We ordered a bunch of menu items and took it back to our spot to do a buffet type meal. The curry chicken was cooked perfectly. We tried the jerk pork and chicken. Both were some of the best I’ve had. The curry shrimp was delicious as well. We were all very pleased. Definitely recommend

Let me start by saying this cute little place is located in Negril. We stumbled upon this great restaurant by accident. We didn’t make a reservation and we’re seated right away. We ordered and the food came out quickly, and was freshly made. The food was nothing short of amazing, with great flavor and super filling. We ordered fish soup “fish tea” and chicken soup both were generous servings and tasted great. We then both ordered oxtails with rice & peas which was cooked to perfection falling off the bone again with generous serving sizes. We ordered fried chicken to go and oh man it was so still crispy, and so juicy the next day for lunch! We tried a sweet potato pudding and ohhhh man the sweetness the softness was so good. This place is like a little hidden gem definitely a must try.

This was a 10/10 experience. It was our one dinner outside of the resort and the location felt very safe and accommodating. It was awesome to leave the walls of the resort and be exposed to some of the beautiful culture in Negril. We hired a driver and the restaurant even called him when we were done for us. The food was authentic, favorable, and a true highlight. We had the jerk chicken and the lobster with the sides. The jerk sauce was the best I ever had. You can take it to go as well. They also have t shirts you can buy. The service was also great and the owner checked on us. They also had patio seating and a piano player!

Service was by far some of the best I have received in Jamaica, very nice, courteous and proper. The food was decent as well, the jerk chicken was very flavorful but it wasn't the best I have had in Jamaica. Still I will definitely be back for the atmosphere and vibe alone.

One of the locals we met recommended this place. My friend and I were originally supposed to have dinner at Ricky’s Cafe but decided to come instead… I’m glad we did. Loved the grilled lobster, rice and peas and dumplings! But the best part about this place are the services and the locals. It’s a simple mom n pops restaurant that serves a lot of flavor and deliciousness 😁

I love the outdoor/street side dining. Our server was polite and helpful. The food was good and very reasonable in price and size. 😋 We ordered jerk chicken, which was done nicely, and the steam fish was so tasty.

Coming from my Louisiana mother, I’ve learned to love jerk chicken ESPECIALLY when it kicks. We heard this place was the best in town and it didn’t disappoint!! The food was pretty good, however lacked the spice I was looking for. I didn’t necessarily think it was the ‘best’ in terms of jerk chicken, but the fried chicken was indeed incredible. I think I’d check out elsewhere next time around but I think this is a must try for negril first timers.

Service was 10/10 the stairs to go upstairs were steep and the bathroom was small still clean though so I didn’t really have an issue the food was good and the price was great for a restaurant on the beach road. Nice restaurant if you’re looking for a low key hangout spot for date night while in Jamaica.

Our driver from the airport plus multiple people and the reviews brought us to the restaurant. We stayed near by and night after night it was busy. We went there for dinner when their solar power was down. Super busy, got a table for two. Ordered 1/2 jerk and oxtail and some cocktails. Underwhelmed by the food. First oxtail was under seasoned and tough which means they didn’t cook it slow and long enough. Which is disappointing because I was really looking forward to it. Jerk chicken, I did not taste…thyme, pepper, or salt. They had jerk sauce on the table which was decent but didn’t taste like jerk sauce but more like bbq sauce. Service was friendly but for the hype and price I wouldn’t go back. We did find better jerk chicken in Negril.

Very authentic. The vibe, the food, the atmosphere. If you go definitely get a fruit smoothie, it's nothing like what you get in the states. The rice and peas is the best I have EVER had EVER! The festival is good too! Looks like a place tourist would drive by, but don't let the small location fool you. Best meal in jamaica!

Great Food and the setting was night life...with the Jamaican music to enjoy while waiting for your food. It was a bus load of us. We were in and out in less than a hour. Good vibes. Thanks.

Wife and I had ordered the fried lobster and the curry chicken both fresh and excellent. As we waited for our orders, we watched the chef grill the jerk chicken. That also looked and smelled delicious. We ordered a couple drinks as well they were a bit underwhelming. Unfortunately the staff wasn't welcoming at all they stared and made you feel uneasy.

We got this recommendation from Captain Jason during our snorkeling excursion earlier in the day. We traveled to Montego Bay, Negril, Ocho Rios, and Port Antonio - the jerk chicken was the best at this place. Best In The West was delicious at every selection made. My favorite by far was the Oxtail with bammy on the side. If you are passing through Negril, I highly recommended you eat here!

This is a casual restaurant that serves delicious Jamaican food with emphasis on Jamaican jerk dishes. In addition, they have a wide variety of refreshing beverages. I had the jerk pork with rice and peas which was very tasty. I also had a chicken soup that was well seasoned and hearty. The service staff was courteous and professional. I highly recommend patronizing this restaurant when in Negril.

The manager is very rude and wanted to argue with us and told us when we go to a restaurant we should as how the dish is prepared. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. The food is terrible. We ordered the jerk chicken pasta and it tasted like spaghetti with tomato sauce and plain chicken. No flavor and very Americanized. We tried to swap the food out for something different or to get a refund and they wouldn't accept either until my wife argued with the manager for 5 minutes and she finally refunded it. When we told her we weren't paying for it and we didn't eat it she had the nerve to ask who was going to pay for it then! I've never felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant. They treated my wife like dirt because she is Jamaican. Do NOT EAT HERE!!

A well known Jerk Chicken shack in Negril, across from the Coco La Palm resort. The food was good. Decent prices. The Jerk Chicken was good, the Jerk Pork was nice and spicy and the Shrimp Curry was tasty. Personally, overall decent food, very similar to a lot of the side street restaurants. The service was great, enjoyed Sabrina’s customer service and friendliness.

Damn the jerk chicken here is good! Low key spot on the side of the road but it’s so worth it to stop by. Try the oxtails, the jerk chicken of course, and the conch soup. So good I might have to be back before I leave.
