Not the greatest food or service, but you’re more paying for the atmosphere and the partying than anything.
Wife had a frozen margarita a couple hours before we ate there. Cost about 12 dollars or so. Said it was good, but very strong. Went to eat lunch, and was quoted 30 minutes to wait. It gives you plenty of time to walk around and lounge in the pool, dance, people-watch, etc.
There was a live DJ named “Star” playing music and entertaining guests. Plenty of people swimming, drinking, and having a good time. Very fun atmosphere. Kids seemed to be enjoying themselves and there is plenty for them to do. I’m sure it can get pretty rowdy there if there is enough alcohol flowing though. Plenty of shade inside and outside under umbrellas. Weather was perfect for that day; about 83F.
Service was very slow, but not really an issue as you have plenty of time to watch other, probably alcohol impaired, people have a great time singing to the songs and dancing.
We ordered the wings for an appetizer, but they came out with our main dishes. Got the regular buffalo, but they also come in BBQ or Jerk-BBQ. They were alright. Barely warm and not spicy at all. Certainly had better, but I’m sure after enough margaritas you wouldn’t care. Wife had the chicken sandwich. A pretzel roll seemed liked an odd choice for the bun, and wasn’t my personal favorite option for it. Chicken had good flavor though. I ordered the Cuban sandwich. It was good. Mainly tasted like pork, and had no pickles on it unfortunately, nor could I taste the mustard, but the pork did have a nice flavor. Both sandwiches were served with a pickle spear, however the plates they were served on were incredibly hot and the pickle had dried out a bit and looked very unappetizing so we skipped those. Came with your standard fries also. With 2 drinks it all came out to about 70 bucks after tip.
Restaurant was clean, service was friendly, but very slow, and food was good, just underwhelming for the amount you’re paying. One main gripe is the food menu is incredibly small. Not sure if it shrunk due to Covid, but more options would be greatly appreciated on the next visit. Worth a try if you’re sick of cruise ship food if you don’t mind spending the extra money.
