Playa "El Cielo"

Mentioned on

Nature & Parks
Playa "El Cielo" is a beautiful, calm white-sand beach that is perfect for snorkeling and photography. It can be reached by hiring a scooter or taking a boat. This shallow sandbank located just offshore is teeming with sea life, especially starfish, making it an ideal location for snorkelers of all levels. The crystal clear waters also make it easy to spot rays swimming around you.
Just absolutely gorgeous. A must do in Cozumel. We went on a yacht called Maya with Abraham. We really enjoyed it.
Patricia Doi — Google review
Your boat tour will most likely bring you here. This beach is beautiful. The water is crystal clear full of sea life. Be respectful and take your trash with you.
Andrea A — Google review
You can’t access this place by car so make sure you book a boat tour. It’s a truly incredible spot that you can’t skip. You will also get a chance to swim with rays… so far my best trip!
Carlos Garcia — Google review
I didn’t get to see this place but mi and my wife rented a car went to all the beaches available but if you want a really nice beach you have to pay for a hotel room other free beaches are not great WARNING but we did the best we can stoped a couple restaurants we wanted whole lobster but surprisingly not available only tails
Ivan Solano — Google review
This was one of my favorite parts of my trip to Cozumel. We went on a snorkeling tour to see the coral reef and the starfish. The water is a beautiful blue and the sand is soft and while. There are so many starfish and a lot of stingrays like to hang out at the sandbar and swim in-between the people. Was an amazing time!
Cody Weikel — Google review
Gorgeous sandbar a lot of fun nice you can see fish and stingrays here they know people come to eat and relax in this area so they hang around
Our Coral Reef Collab — Google review
Breathtaking, wow how blue, clear water and amazing overall experience
Travel Girl — Google review
The place is a paradise. Shallow, super clear water with turquoise color, white sand at the bottom. There are stingrays going around and you can see also starfish from El Cielo before the boats stops here at El Cielito. It a picture perfect place to take selfies or just landscape photos, though make sure to enjoy the scenery, the water and experience. I think this is the best water in all Cancun/Riviera Maya/Cozumel area. Surely the experience will vary depending on the tour company you book, but the experience at location should be the same for at tour booking.
Sung Park — Google review
Yes, it is heaven! I knew what it looked like. I'd seen the pictures. BUT when I got there I was speechless. This is a must-go if you are visiting Cozumel.
Johnny Williams — Google review
So beautiful - it's hard to describe! As far as I know you can only get here by boat tour & it is a must see on any trip to Cozumel.
kerrie b — Google review
We really enjoyed the tour. We decided not to snorkel.. but we brought our own beer and used their ice coolers. They did offer us two beers at the end. But the beautiful colors of the water was just awesome. It was fun watching everyone else snorkeling and then we got out of the beach for the little beach party. I’d go again.
C H — Google review
Incredibly clear water on white sand beach. Went there in a snorkeling boat tour booked at Cozumel International Cruise Port. Very friendly and considerate captain who served us snacks and drinks on a floating device while hanging in the water.
Jun Gao — Google review
This is one of the most beautiful locations I have ever been to. I'd highly recommend taking a boat tour here.

Cozumel Pearl Farm

Mentioned on
Farm
Nature & Parks
Nature & Wildlife Areas
Cozumel Pearl Farm is a family-owned establishment located in an isolated area in the north of Cozumel, accessible only by boat. Visitors are given a six-hour tour where they can witness the process of pearl-making at the farm, snorkel and relax on the picturesque white sandy beach. The farm was declared a natural protected area in 2012 and boasts Caribbean vibes that impress tourists who visit its pristine grounds.
The Peal Farm experience was quite soothing! Isabel and Pancho were awesome hosts to this piece of paradise. The tour itself was informative and what a story of resilience! We truly appreciated their efforts to make us feel at home and comfortable. Thank you for offering the opportunity to visit your daily lives as pearl farmers! :)
Steve Flores — Google review
Amazing tour. Totally worth it. We learned so much about farming Pearl's. We got to not only learn about Pearl's but also snorkel, lunch, see cute raccoons, and enjoyed a boat tour. It was so interesting.
Hillary Guzik-Jung — Google review
We had a fantastic time at the pearl farm. It was interesting to see and listen to the challenges they dealt with over the last 20 plus years. Food and services were great. Poncho, Laura and Maria were exceptional hosts. Highly recommend it if you want something new and interesting as well as relaxing at the same time.
Robert Strohmann — Google review
This was an amazing day with informative, fun, and knowledgeable guides. We enjoyed everything about this small family owned farm. The day included a beautiful boat ride to the farm, a private beach and tour of the lab, a snorkel over the farm, drinks, fresh fruit, snacks, and excellent grilled cheeseburgers! We also loved having a drink and floating on the sandbar! I highly recommend the experience!
Kirsten Erving — Google review
My husband, 10 year old son, and I all agree this was the best excursion we took while in Cozumel. You are taken by boat to a beautiful, isolated natural beach where the farm's owner operators treat you like family! A great way to get away from the crowds, unplug, and relax! We enjoyed learning about the farm's history and how pearls are formed inside an oyster. We spent time beach combing, Relaxing on the hammocks, playing in the shallow waters, snorkeling, and just unwinding. We will definitely visit again next time we are in Cozumel. Highest recommendation!!!
Miranda Sellers — Google review
This was our absolute favorite tour on our trip. Laura and Pancho were amazing! Learning the history of the pearl farm and how they create their pearls was really neat. Speed snorkeling is a must! The beach was fantastic and we could stay their all day. They made homemade burgers and Laura had a pesto sauce she let us try that was fantastic! It was very relaxing and absolutely beautiful.
David Nelson — Google review
This is a truly unique tour. This family is doing a great job educating about the pearl farming industry while providing a great adventure that is both relaxing and memorable. The speed snorkeling was awesome, lunch was great; Isabel, Poncho, and Maria were fantastic hosts! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for something out of the ordinary.
Tom Erving — Google review
We decided to visit the Pearl Farm while we were stopped in Cozumel during a Caribbean cruise. What a magnificent experience! We took a taxi from our cruise port (Punta Langosta) arrived at the smaller port of Puerto de Abrigo and met Maria, Isabel, and Pancho at their boat along with the two other couples booked on the tour. Everyone was so lovely and Isabel, Pancho, and Maria made us immediately feel like we were old friends. We were offered some cold soft drinks and set off to the farm on a wonderful 30 minute boat ride over the most beautiful water we've ever seen. We arrived at the farm and it's incredible how serene and peaceful it is! There's nothing really else around and you can only arrive by boat so it was incredibly calm and quiet. Maria gave a lovely presentation on pearls, the history of the farm, and the mission which was really enlightening. Isabel took us to the lab where we learned more about the pearl farming process which was fascinating to learn about. We came back to the main palapa for drinks and a snack (fresh cut fruit and yummy Mexican sweets). We then set back off to the boat to do some speed snorkeling over the oysters and local marine life and it was so fun! We put on snorkel gear and hung onto a rope off the back of the boat while it pulled us in the water-- super cool experience!! Then we headed back to the sandbar for a little bit before going in for a DELICIOUS lunch! Maria is a great chef who made some delicious Mexican cheeseburgers (burgers with cheese and grilled pineapple but you can ask for it without the pineapple or pineapple on the side). They laid out a bunch of sauces (ketchup, mayo, guacamole mayo!) as well as some Mexican Lays potato chips (which are even better than American Lays in our humble opinion lol). After lunch we got to decorate and personalize some conch shells for us to leave our marks on the farm before heading back out to relax on the sandbar for a bit. After a fantastic day of learning, sun, snorkeling, and tasty food we regrettably headed back on the boat to go back to port and end our time together. It was genuinely one of the best vacation experiences we've had and we're very eager to visit again!
Missy Lagera — Google review
By far the highlight of our trip to Cozumel! Isabel and her family really made it a wonderful experience showcasing the history, passion, and science behind the place. The place itself is extraordinary both above and below the water. Lunch was tremendous as well, everything about the trip was very welcoming and thoughtful. Couldn't recommend it enough!
Croy Carlin — Google review
The pearl farm is really cool and interesting! Never seen a working pearl farm before and it's pretty interesting to hear about all their challenges and see what the process is. Also it's very beautiful there. Highly recommend visiting.

Absolutely must see this beautiful farm and learn the incredible story behind it! Our best memory of our trip to Cozumel was our day at the Pearl Farm.
Susan Castro — Google review
AMAZING TOUR! If you had to book one tour this would be the one I would choose! You get to go to a private beach where the pearls are cultured! They also cook and amazing lunch for you while you explore the beach! This is a family owned farm with such loving people! please support this small local business!!

These guys are amazing! It is truly a little spot of paradise. Isabel was our host and our magnificent tour leader. Small group of 6 of us. Crystal clear waters and beautiful setting. They are really worth the full 5 stars. Hope to come back for their new overnight camping trip one day soon. Best of luck guys!

Very rarely do I write reviews, It has to be something very special for me to do so. Having said that, this experience was one of the best that my husband and I have had on any of our vacations. We felt like we were with family the entire day. It was just myself, husband and the owners of the Pearl Farm. Isabel, Pancho, Marie, and Ganeash. They picked us up in their boat from the marina and immediately made us feel like we were the most important people. We were offered beverages before we left the marina. We enjoyed the boat ride to the farm and seen some spectacular views that you can't get anywhere else because to get to the farm you must go by boat. Once we got to the farm we were surprised at how stunning it was, Pancho is an amazing landscaper and it felt like we should be going to a wedding on the beach that is how gorgeous it is. Immediately we were given refreshments and snacks. It was so laid back and we enjoyed just visiting for a while, learning about the history of their farm, their lives and what led them to start a pearl farm. Isabel was so sweet and asked if we wanted to explore or relax or start the tour. We were so excited for the tour and she is awesome at explaining everything. We learned so much and there never was a dull moment. She explained exactly what we would see under the water where the pearls are being grown. The snorkeling was amazing. We understood exactly what we were seeing and I have to say that Pancho is very innovative when it came to building the underwater "nursery". It was absolutely beautiful and there was plenty of time to see the pearl farm and to see some of the reefs, which had the best variety of marine life I have ever seen when snorkeling. And we have been many places snorkeling. This was one of the top spots. After this we were able to stop at the sand bar and have a beer and a great swim. Ganeash even swam out to meet us. I loved having Ganeash with us, this boy is a doll and I loved every minute with him. Instead of swimming with the pigs in the Bahamas we got to swim with a cutie by the name of Ganeash! Once we returned from relaxing in the water we enjoyed a BBQ lunch prepared for us by Marie. (she's a good cook). The pearls that are farmed here are breathtaking. My husband purchased a necklace for me while at the farm. I love it! There was never any pressure to buy anything, but how could we not. How many people can say they have been to a pearl farm? And this family and their extreme hard work, passion, and talent should be supported completely! I encourage everyone to go! There is something for everyone and this family deserves all the support they can get. They go above and beyond and they make sure their guest know that each and everyone is very important to them. Please go on their instagram page and purchase a logo shirt. Any purchase you make goes to support their farm (no I wasn't paid to say that, LOL). Once you hear their story, the struggles, and the accomplishments you will understand why any support matters. We will visit the farm every time we are in Cozumel, I can't wait to see what their future brings. Thank you Isabel, Pancho, Marie, and Ganeash for an amazing experience. See you next time!

Our guide, Isabel, was truly inviting, kind and knowledgeable. I’d consider this a day trip due to the length from pushing off to docking. I loved how the destination was secluded and pretty much free of seaweed. (There was a bit on shore, but none in the water). I’d suggest you practice snorkeling prior to embarking for the best experience. Take yourself sunblock, hat, and water shoes/sandals.

Playa Palancar Cozumel Beach Club is a beach destination that provides a restaurant and bar, as well as water sports and snorkeling trips. It is known for its exceptional value for money compared to other beach clubs on the island. The staff are friendly, attentive, and respectful of guests' privacy regarding minimum consumption rates. The relaxed atmosphere allows visitors to fully enjoy the stunning white sand beach and crystal clear waters.
A great beach club, was even so nice that we cancelled plans to explore other places and we came back the day after. I think it has the best value for money for a beach club on Cozumel. All staff was super friendly and kind, even though there was ~170 Pesos minimum consumption per person in the beach club (which is absolutely fair) none of the waitress were intrusive. It was a fully relaxed atmosphere, an amazing sand beach and crystal clear water. Just want to highlight Antonio, one of the service staff. Simply a great person, super kind and a reason to came back the next day.

Mixed reviews! Great atmosphere, very friendly and attentive service. Gorgeous beach!!!! The $20 entrance fee is well worth it, but the fee really should apply to food and drink purchases. It does not. The cons- I was served very watered down tequila shots. I had 3 shots, a margarita and some nachos. According to the listed prices, my bill should have been $48. I was charged $86!!! When I questioned the bill, I was told it was automatic gratuity and a $2 delivery charge per drink. Nowhere on the menu does it mention these fees nor do the servers mention them. While I would have left a gladly left a great tip because the service was stellar, I did not appreciate the dishonesty. I still loved it and would consider going back just for the beach, but I will be wiser and question things next time! Also…taxis will tell you that you need a reservation. You don’t. Scams are abound in Cozumel, do your research!

Nice sandy beach, access is through private business with all amenities. Prices from $20 usd and up for adults
Dan B — Google review
Wonderful, beach with lots of shade, excellent service, and great food. Prices are very reasonable. However, there is an entrance fee of $20-28 per person that includes your lounge chairs and umbrella. Water shoes are a must here as the first 10 feet entering the water are covered with shells and rocks.
Chris Shipp — Google review
Great beach, crystal clear blue water and cute racoons! But they want you to eat in the beach club, if you enter the beach. They close at 5 pm. Take care that you don't park your motorbike inside, if you want to leave later. They will close the gate. we recommend to walk thought to the beach and turn left. You will have the beach for yourself.
M. H. — Google review
We rented some scooters from the outside the cruise dock ($45 each all incl) and went there (15-20 mins). Park scooters up, pay a tip and entrance is free so long as you buy $20 worth of food drink etc. Beds are about $14 a pair. Good food lots of cold drinks. The bar and food area and immediate beach is busy, but 20 metres either side is a gorgeous empty stretch of the best beach around! We spent about $50 (1000 pesos) on lots of cold drinks, nachos, chicken, enchilada etc for a family of 4, paid with credit card. Did not do any dive snorkel trip but you can I’m sure.

Off the beaten path Staff were awesome. Food was really good. It's approximately $26 per person to enter the facility. You get a chair for each person right on the ocean.

Super recomendable 💯👌 (Translated by Google) It is beautiful!!! Previously, at the Beach Club on the beach they did not charge, now there is an entrance fee of 20 USD, which includes a lounge chair, bathroom and showers plus your consumption, the truth is that it is worth it because the service is good, the food is delicious, the most expensive It's the drinks but the visit is definitely worth it. Super recommended 💯👌

La playa más bonita que han visto mis ojos, solo fui a hacer snorkel, nadar un poco en esa alberca infinita del mar que es super bajita y ahí mismo pueden ver peces si llevan sus gogles, el personal es muy amable (Translated by Google) The most beautiful beach that my eyes have ever seen, I just went to snorkel, swim a little in that infinity pool in the sea that is super shallow and you can see fish right there if you have your goggles, the staff is very friendly

(Translated by Google) The facilities are acceptable but nothing luxurious, the fee just to use a lounge chair, showers and toilets is $320. Consumption is additional and consider that the minimum tip is 15%. We only went because we wanted to swim in the sea and it certainly did not disappoint. I recommend bringing water shoes because there are a lot of shells to swim in and it hurts your feet.

Had such a great time here with my four friends and I. The guy providing us service was amazing and super friendly. The seafood tacos were delicious and it was very very tranquil being here. You do have to prove you spent a certain amount of money to enjoy the facilities but it wasn’t hard nor on the entrees side. Not too crowded which we appreciated.
Reecha Martis — Google review
It's a beautiful beach with soft sand and lots of people but the other reviews are correct - it's quite crowded/touristy and you will be charged for everything. You cannot bring in your own food, drinks or water. They searched our bag for this as well. The parking attendant let us know they wanted a tip when we arrived and they were fine with us tipping when we exited. At the entrance they told us they *only accept cash*. We paid $40 USD per person for a one hour snorkel tour to Cielo and a small reef. The guides were nice but not very friendly. They insisted on having us pose underwater 4-5 times to take our photo and wanted to charge us $30 for them at the end. It felt a bit rushed but there wasn't a ton to see anyway. Some starfish, two small turtles, and a few schools of fish. It was great that they gave us a small bottle of water at the end. Afterward at the beach we hung out in the water for a bit. Everywhere with shade costs extra so we didn't stay long. I'm glad we went but won't be returning. It's worth a visit if you're in the area! BRING: lots of cash, sunscreen, hat & towels DON'T BRING: food, drinks, water, credit cards

My husband and I stayed here for our 10 year anniversary and now I will recommend it to everyone I know. It was THE MOST incredible experience! All of the staff were so helpful and kind and went out of their way to make this a special experience for us. The food and drinks were delicious and the service was like nothing I’ve experienced before. I cannot say enough great things about Mr. Sancho’s. Thank you to the whole Mr. Sancho’s team for your dedication and hard work. This is a true VIP experience and we will definitely be back!

Property is beautiful and well maintained. Ivan, our server, was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed during the day. Both my friend and I had massages at the spa - and we highly recommend both Bertha and Carmita as massage therapists. The only thing we wished they'd offered as part of the package are towels - so remember to bring your own or pay extra to rent them. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing day at Mr. Sanchos!

Our family came here for the day on one of our cruise stops. We had been to Montego Bay and Cayman Islands the 2 days prior to this stop and although the beaches were nice in those 2 areas, Mr. Sanchos was by far my favorite due to the service. Jane at the front desk was so sweet and our server Mani was the best! There are so many things to do and the cocktails were great. My only complaint was the food wasn't that great but everything else was perfect!
Jessica Olsen — Google review
Our family saw a Travel Blog supporting Mr. Sancho's Beach Club ALL Inclusive..NOT SUPPORTED By Carnival Cruise Lines as an off ship experience which is a very Dang (Superlatives Deleted) Shame...Yet still safe and easy to get to with the regulated taxi service from the ports and back...The staff at this all day hang out were 1000% above and beyond.. You must reserve your spot in advance and I recommend early arrival to get a great spot..Also a huge shout out to Chino Doroteo for going above and beyond as a guest server here..You sir are 100000% a great guy and I hope I have you again someday..On a sad note my daughter inadvertently left her pail of sand for her shell collection which was not recovered unfortunately...reached out to Mr. Sancho's however they weren't able to help unfortunately..but hey they are responsive none the less...The only other thing I was hoping for was a meet and greet with Mr. Sancho's himself for a photo op.. but my arrival wasn't on cue for this...GREAT JOB MR. SANCHO'S

Sauri was our waiter, he was fantastic. We had our drinks and food so quick. We loved his service. Mr. Sanchos is a must see. The atmosphere was so great. We sat at a table just feet from the water. The facility is clean and beautiful. They have cabs waiting for pick up. So if you were worried about getting back to your ship in time no worries. The cab drivers drive fast you'll get back in 10 to 13 minutes.

I read reviews prior to reserving as my traveling group of 6 wanted to try out Mr Sancho’s. I was nervous that it was not a “Carnival excursion” available through our cruise. Some Of the negative reviews made me more anxious but a went to be with my friends. BOY! Am I glad I did! My husband and I loved our afternoon and only wished it could have web longer. True to reviews the beach is not wide and sandy but under blue skies and warm sun looking out over the Carribean we could not have been happier. Each couple in our group rented a cabana and the staff moved assignments to keep us all in a group. Our servers, Limbert and Saul were gracious and fun. Drinks were never empty for long. Food was delicious and quick to the table. When afternoon breezes started, Limbert tied our cabana curtains to keep them from blowing on us. Rosa and Julie provided our massages in a separate designated cabana. A tub for feet was at the massage table to clean off sand. I didn’t expect to feel so relaxed but Rosa took great care of me. I also got a pedicure. Gel for $50. Nice job and something I didn’t have time for at home. The pools were lovely but we were so comfortable in our cabana that we didn’t make use of them. Thank Mr Sancho’s team for a memorable afternoon. **our group rented a van service/taxi for the trip from port to Mr Sancho’s. $67 per couple got us round trip and our driver Jorje never left the parking lot. If the mood changed he would drive us around the island, take us to a tequila distillery tour or back to port for shopping. I don’t know the van service name but they were excellent and available at the port taxi area.

Better to book in advance, as the place books up fast. Visited, from a carnival Cruise, me and a friend took last week. The place is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. All you can eat and drink for 1 price. Well worth the price and the visit. If ever I go another cruise and they Port near here. I'm definitely going back. We had an awesome day, and met lots of people from all over the US and Mexico. There is a short taxi ride from the port to here. Cost was $20.00. Our stay for the day was somewhere around $68.00 each. Well worth the price, for the crystal clear blue water, lots of activities around and of the all you can eat & drink. Who could beat that. 🏖🏊‍♀️🌊🚣‍♀️😍😁

What an amazing experience! Not only was it beautiful- scenery and their accommodations- it was an all around fantastic time! Diego, our server, went above and beyond. He made sure we were very hydrated with all the delicious beverages offered on the menu, and our tummies were happy. The food definitely shocked me with how good it was. We WILL be back!! Diego knocked it out of the park with his exceptional customer service!

We went on a Sunday and had a great time! The food was good (not as good as other locations in Cozumel but still good), the drinks were good, the service was good, and the beach was great! I recommend trying the tamarind margarita! We came from open to close to get our full $60 worth and it was well worth it. The biggest downside during our visit was that because it was Sunday, all of the shops were closed. We did come back the next day to check them out and we ended up purchasing a couple of souvenirs. I did end up getting sick after leaving this place but I don't think it had anything to do with the location itself and was more just my bad luck. I saw my first wild iguana outside in the parking lot of this place as well! I will definitely visit again on my next trip to Cozumel! It was a nice atmosphere and one of the better beach locations we visited while there.

Stopped by Cozumel and Mr. Sanchos on our first cruise on the Carnival Sunrise. Fun resort to hangout and relax. The staff at Mr. Sanchos was awesome and should be commended for their work. Our servers Jose and Amando were great. Also had fun getting my feet cleaned by fish, interesting experience. Was fun and it did tickle.

We have been visiting Cozumel for decades. Good beaches are hard to find in Cozumel. Mr Sanchos has a great beach and waterfront. They are super easy to get to and from the cruise ports. The taxi drivers are union professionals running their routes on flat rates expect $20 each way with tips included. The drinks were very good. The swim up bars were fun. The massages were very professional and enjoyable and the cabanas were very romantic. The bathrooms were clean, especially the one behind the Spa.

This was my first trip back to Mr. Sancho's since the pandemic. Friends and I booked a Carnival cruise with a stop in Cozumel. I made our reservation online 3 months before our trip because it is a popular resort and can be turned away if there are no day passes. The booking required $5 per person deposit, and I paid the remaining balance when I got there. We took a cab from the Playa for $17 one way and got there within 15 min. I'd been to Mr. Sancho's 4 previous times and have never been disappointed. This was no different. The staff (Roberto and Audon) were awesome. They're friendly, funny, attentive, and considerate. To drink, I had the Mr. Sancho Special, which is a tamarindo margarita, coconut shrimp, and the nachos. This was my friends' first time here, and they enjoyed having access to the pool and swim up bar after being out in the ocean. If you're going to be in Cozumel, make a reservation at Mr. Sancho's. You can drink, eat, swim, be entertained, and shop in one place. ❤️

It was a great place. The food and drinks were so good. It was an all inclusive for 65.00. Beautiful water. The staff was on point with drinks. They never let your drink get empty before you had another one. The best place to go. I will return.

Reserve in advance before they sell out. If they sell out, check back daily and chances are, spots open up. For a family of 4, taxi from the International Cruise Terminal to Mr. Sancho's was $20 each way. Always had plenty of taxi's at both locations waiting to take you there or back. Service was top notch to give you an experience to keep you coming back, that's for sure. Unlimited food, drinks, everything! Family friendly, fun and festive atmosphere. We look forward to going back on our future cruises. If you smoke, they have an area off to the edge for the smokers.

During my visit to Mr. Sanchos Beach Club on a cruise stop, I appreciated the seamless check-in process after making a reservation. Our table on the sandy shores with a view of the beach and pool set a picturesque scene. The server, while friendly, seemed a bit stretched attending to multiple tables. Despite this, the food and drinks were excellent, though wait times were noticeable due to the high number of visitors. While beach access was granted, the limited number of available chairs near the water and an abundance of tables on the sand impacted the overall beach experience. On a positive note, I witnessed a thoughtful gesture as a server assisted a visitor in a wheelchair designed for sand, exemplifying inclusivity. The two pools in my vicinity were bustling, making it challenging to take a refreshing dip. The beach area, though enjoyable, lacked ample seating, and the few available seats were uncomfortably close to the water, resulting in occasional waves hitting them. In summary, Mr. Sanchos Beach Club offers a pleasant experience with delicious food and decent service. However, potential overcrowding and a scarcity of beach chairs may require visitors to opt for tables with umbrellas instead of a beachside seat.

Magnificent beach club. Visited here for a great deal of time from a Carnival cruise. The staff was friendly and professional as we made it through the check-in process and throughout the visit. We were assigned our own server(s) (Sergio and Alex) for the duration of the visit. It's all-inclusive and there's a select menu of food and drinks to choose from. The beach here is really clean and the water is crystal clear. It has multiple pools, spa services (costs extra), locker rental, and several different attractions (ATV, horseback riding, water park area with inflatables, kayaking, parasailing, jet skis and more. All attractions cost extra and are reasonably priced. If I visit Cozumel again, I will definitely spend time at Mr. Sanchos Beach Club.

$60 person for the day, and a $17 taxi ride to get there from the Carnival port. All you can eat and drink from their tasty menu, and the waiter assigned to you will bring you everything. Sit under a thatched roof umbrella, lounge on a beach chair, or hang out in the pool (2, one adult only) with the swim up bars. Bathrooms are constantly cleaned. There are a few vendors, but no one pestered us. Massages are extra $. Go online and reserve for just $5.

This place is amazing. The beach is caribbean bliss and they have great pools with swim up bars and a DJ. One of the pools is adult only. The service is top quality. Pops was our waiter and he was great!! I barely had to lift a finger. All the food was good and as much as you want. I can't believe this place was such a good price for what it was. I will definitely be back. We still need a picture with the mariachi band! 😂

Definitely make reservations in advance. Great service and the food and drinks are excellent. Try the coconut shrimp! There is an adult-only pool with a swim-up bar. The pools got a bit filthy by the end of the day. Don't wait until 4 to do your shopping, all the shops close before then because the cruise ships have left. It was great to be there when they opened before the cruise ships where in port. I'd suggest planning your trip based on the cruise ship schedule. Great massages! The ocean was beautiful!

We recently visited Mr Sanchos and loved it! Staff was very friendly and very attentive. We were just looking for a beach day and it was wonderful! Can’t beat the price for all you can eat and drink, plus the beautiful blue waters! Thank you Mr Sanchos!

We went on Friday, September 1st, 2023. It was all that we expected and more!! All inclusive food and drinks. We reserved online to make sure we had a spot, and I'm glad we did. That place got busy. We also brought our own snorkel masks, and that was the best thing to do, in my opinion. They do sell snorkel masks there if you need to purchase one. We did canoeing with a 10.00 deposit that we got back when we brought the canoe back. My son did the jet ski and had a blast. There is so much to do here!! Very safe, I never felt worried at all. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had an amazing day at Mr. Sanchos! Our waiter, Hector, was awesome. The drinks were good as well. My son liked the waterpark. The floats are hard to get on. There was so much going on that I did not have enough time to enjoy everything. This place offers so much. I definitely want to go back!

We stopped by Mr Sancho’s during our cruise stop in Cozumel, Mexico. I’m glad we did. We enjoyed it a lot and the drinks were amazing. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by several people. The servers are very attentive and make sure food and drinks are always in your hand. We had a few servers but Eider really took time to make sure we were good at all times. I highly recommend coming here. We will definitely try to make it back in the future.

Mr Sanchos is a MUST if you're ever visiting cozumel. Whether you're on a cruise (especially if you're on a cruise) or if you're in cozumel for whatever reason. It's a fulfilled, warm, beautiful activity filled location. Also, let me not forget the food. There's so much of it. I plaid the all inclusive day pass and I think it was more than worth it. All the drinks and food we could eat. We got the massage and even went on d banana boat. Soooooo much fun. Food was good, drinks were as expected but servers were attentive and very nice. I loved my experience at this location. So many things to do. They had swim up pool bars that I didn't even get the chnace to try. I definitely will return. 10/10 for Mr Sanchos. My family and I (22 of us, loved spending the day here). I would recommend.

I want to give it 5 stars purely on the service we received. Edgar found us around the resort and made sure the adults and children always had a drink and food if needed. Fantastic service. The drinks had good flavors but were not strong at all. I had 17 drinks that day and left almost sober. Idk if they water them down to stretch the bottles or what. Weather was too rough for the kids to use the Aquatic Park that day. It was shut down. But had fun none the less.

We did the suite upgrade for the day and it was awesome! We were treated like royalty and they made it a special day for my wife's birthday! The suite was large, had great A/C, huge shower with all drinks and food included. The staff was fantastic, weren't pushy but attentive. We were there from 8 AM to 6 PM to take full advantage of the suite. We didn't know it, but you can even stay overnight! If/when we come back to Cozumel, we'll be back to Mr. Sancho's! Special thanks to Salvador and his crew!

Beautiful all-inclusive beach club! Our waiter was amazing! Food was delicious and atmosphere was perfect! There were several activities available on the property from shopping to adventures to holding animals to live music to spas! We had a great time! Would definitely go back and recommend to anyone interested in visiting Cozumel! It was a whole vibe!

We were on a Fury Catamaran excursion through our cruise line that took us to the beach club. Our family ranged in age from 7 to 70 and all of us had great fun! The beach was great, with fun inflatable slides and climbing toys. There were plenty of loungers for those who wanted them. The included margaritas and beers were free-flowing and passable. The only downside was that the kayaks were not in particularly good order and were not ready for easy use.

What an amazing experience! My first cruise and visit to Cozumel, Mexico. Mr. Sancho’s was delightful with outstanding customer service. Ask for Manuel aka “Tabasco” to serve you at the reservation and private table. Food is tasty and unlimited; the ocean is delightful and peaceful. Plenty to do; visit their website for more information. I will definitely be back! 🛳️🛳️🏝️👸🏽🙌🏾❤️💯✅

We had reservations for this place while our cruise was docked. With the reservations we got right in and we did the all inclusive so unlimited food and drinks. Everything was great and the service was excellent. I was not a fan of the salsa it tasted kinda like tomato sauce and the cheese dip was the kind they have at gas stations but other than that we loved it. There are ALOT of seats and tables so it’s kinda crowded but it was beautiful and the bathrooms were so clean!! We really enjoyed this place and if we ever travel here again we will be back!!

The Mayan Cacao Company

Mentioned on
Chocolate shop
Museums
The Mayan Cacao Company is a tourist attraction that is both educational and offers unique souvenirs. It resembles a Mayan village and showcases the significance of chocolate in indigenous cuisine and culture through exhibits, such as historic cocoa trading routes and footage of cocoa harvesting. There are free samples of various flavors of chocolate bars made on site, as well as live preparation demonstrations by a Cacao chef who can answer any questions visitors may have. For those with allergies, all ingredients are listed.
What a fun experience! 10 min taxi ride to the delicious Mayan cacao company. Delicious samples and learn the history of the Mayan culture. Tour was only about $20. Walk down to the beach and play all day for $30.

Exciting every time 😊👌🏼 Totally recommend The Mayan cacao company in Cozumel offers an informative and engaging tour of their cacao plantation and chocolate-making process. Their chocolate creations are delicious, and the tour provides a unique opportunity to learn about the history and production of cacao. I also want to mention that the team and instructors a well-educated and very polite, and they main paycheck it's the tips of the visitors. Highly recommended for chocolate lovers.

My husband and I did the mixology class as an excursion on our cruise. It was absolutely fantastic. We made 3 different types of margaritas and our guide took us to a local market to buy our produce for our drinks. We got to visit the chocolate shop after and it was great to taste samples and buy some chocolate bars. Everyone was very friendly and we had the best tour guide. Definitely recommend and we will be doing it again next time we make port.
Adrean Jones — Google review
We got a tour and presentation, including cacao sampling. The chocolate here is very high quality. I wish I purchased more. This chocolate is one of the best I’ve ever had in my life. Staff is friendly and generous with samples. The only complaint is that they clipped the wings of several poor scarlet macaws. They are beautiful birds.

We had an amazing tour. Watching how the chocolate is made is interesting and the different tastings were delicious! We also had fun on the beach. The water is so beautiful! There's nothing better than a good drink on the beach.

Loved the chocolate story of the maya people. The chocolate margaritas were great! With the large toe groups coming through it was difficult and crowded to try the chocolate flavors. Also very difficult to get to the kids milk shakes as they are not at the bar with the adult ones. If they had samples available or handed them out during the gallery and informational part of the tour they could sale more chocolate!

Our tour guide was Paty she was amazing and very knowledgeable about the history of cacao. She also makes amazing chocolate ! After the tour we met Antonio who is the bartender, he made us chocolate martinis and a mudslide which was exquisite one of the best martinis ever ! And super affordable

We did the basic tour. Our tour guide was Eduardo and he was so much fun! Very informative and knowledgeable. The tour itself was great. We are from the Hershey, PA area so we have grown up with the tour at the Hershey's Chocolate Factory. This tour blew them out of the water. Way more informational and seeing our tour guide make chocolate by hand was such a cool experience! You have to try the Chocolate Margarita. Tastes like a frozen hot chocolate but so much better!

Alot of history. Free samples of all flavors of chocolate bars made onsite. Educational too. Ask all questions you have including small details of Cacao chef during live preparation. Ingredients listed in case of allergic reaction. 4Mar2022-18+ Free tequila tasting and sale of Mayan chocolate mixed drinks for about 5$ American.

We absolutely loved our guided tour with Paty. She was knowledgeable, funny & friendly. She spoke very good English. We got to try traditional mole, and watch how Mayan chocolate was made. Delicious! I would highly recommend this for all. The chocolate bar in the shop are cheaper than those in other stores & better quality.

Visited here on our cruise stop but, did not take a excursion tour. We booked a separate general admission tour on their website. And it was worth every penny. We got our own guide “ROBERTO”. He was awesome very patiently answered all the questions asked my my kids. Was very interactive and told lots of facts cool stories. The place itself is very nice. There are macaw perched on every corner of the tour. They are so cute. Loved the tortilla and the pumpkin seed dish. The store has lots of chocolates which we can sample and buy if needed. Also the chocolate making process shown by Patti was cool. All in all kids would love this place.

We really enjoyed the basic tour and now wish that we had done the full tour! They let us taste ALL of the chocolate!! We had booked a full tour with the Mayan Cocoa Company, but we did not get to see, feel, or taste a raw Cacao pod. They mentioned that they import their Cacao nibs. I bought a lot of chocolate to take home. The prices are better here than at the cruise port shop.

What a great experience. History of the Mayan culture, history of why chocolate was so important to the culture, live demonstration of chocolate making, followed by tastings and of course the shop. Great tour.

A must do for your time in Cozumel!!! Roberto was a great tour guide. My mom and I did the chocolate and margarita workshop. First he went through the history of cacao. Then we had handmade tortillas and sauce while Roberto explained the different plants and spices used in chocolate. Then we made our own chocolate bar, I really like how we could pick how much vanilla, honey, cinnamon and sugar we wanted so each chocolate was uniquely our own. The chocolate margaritas were so worth it. They were delicious!!!!

I really loved stopping here. I think the tours from noon onward are very busy - as a solo traveler I was able to have a private tour at 10am. I was even late without a ticket in advance and they started when I arrived. Roberto was a great tour guide and I learned much about cacao and the Mayan history and the cacao industry. There were many herbs and peppers and beautiful parrots plus Roberto did cooking class with samples. I’m so glad I made it to this place before leaving Cozumel!

Kooben Laab is a delicious Italian restaurant that offers great food and an inviting atmosphere. The pasta and bread are all homemade, and the terrace is a great place to relax in the evening.
Off the beaten path you will find a bakery with an amazing restaurant upstairs. A true Italian menu with added Mayan inspiration. I gave my server the permission to choose for me and I was not disappointed! Don't fear going off the tourist path and do your taste buds a favor. I highly recommend!

Delicious experience! Probably some of the best food we've eaten in Mexico so far. The bread sampling platter was definitely a highlight, and while both of our pasta dishes could have used a little salt, they were both cooked beautifully. The mussels tasted incredibly fresh also! When it came to the tiramisu dessert - absolute perfection. Definitely the best tiramisu we've ever eaten at any Italian restaurant. Great portion sizes, great prices and impeccable service.
abitofjess — Google review
The food is delicious, but you need to make a reservation to get a seat. Even if you make a reservation, you still have to wait ~ the serving time is a bit slow, and you need to reserve about 1 hour for the meal, but there is free water and pre-dinner bread. I've eaten here a lot, and the waiter is often absent...!

This place is phenomenal. Our server, Daniel was excellent!! The options they have are plentiful. However, I decided to be complicated and ask for just mushrooms and white sauce. They asked the Chef and he said he could make it for me. And wow. Unbelievable!! Fabulous prices. With Charcuterie board, 2 pasta dishes, a bottle of wine, 2 deserts and tip all came out to less than $60. It was absolutely phenomenal. If you’re looking for good Italian; this is the place!

This is our favorite Italian restaurant in town, a hidden gem. We love their pasta, salad and drinks. Very reasonable price, delicious food and service. Highly recommend!
Mike Yao — Google review
My family and I vacation (scuba divers) in Cozumel quite often. Usually at least twice per year if not more often. We have several favorite taquerias in town that we frequent for a more authentic experience, but we found ourselves looking for something more familiar, but different if that makes sense. Multiple friends, acquaintances , and those we have done business with have recommended Kooben Laab. The big challenge for me and Italian food is gluten in the pasta, so I messaged asking what they offered when it comes to gluten free. They make their own pasta, so there were no pasta options (there were items without pasta) but they offered to have a clean pot of boiling water waiting if i wanted to bring some pasta. After our dives, a quick trip to the Mega, and we were off. The whole family was thrilled with their dishes, and the boys both gobbled up se delicious looking deserts with extra gluten :-). Did I fail to mention the appetizer? A mexican cheese tray with vegetables and humus. We will visit for sure again!

Ruben is the man and took amazing care of us for breakfast this morning. The food, especially the bagels and bread were amazing. This staff knows what they are doing! The espresso was amazing and the value for what we got vs. what we paid was amazing. The place is unassuming, but has an adorable open air area to eat upstairs. Thanks for hosting us and for a great breakfast.

Well…this was fun. Homemade pastas using Cozumel ingredients, local Cozumel draft beer, homemade fresh bread, coffees from all over Mexico and roasted at the top Mexican coffee roasters. We were in heaven. The service was absolutely superb. I could write a couple of paragraphs on this restaurant. A total must go on Cozumel.
chris mcmanaman — Google review
I've heard this place described as the best Italian food in Mexico; and although I technically agree, I think that description does disservice to the culinary ingenuity and prowess on display at this one of a kind restaurant. They take you on a journey through the various edible regions of Italy without being a slave to it's traditional recipes. It truly is a food laboratory of the highest order, where the herbs are grown in house and the freshness of its ingredients come forth in marvelous and unexpected ways. Scratch made pasta may be the star of the show, but what makes this place truly special is that it is a celebration of the bounty of Mexico and the diversity of it's culture. From the wine and beer to the beans and grains; If it is grown or made in Mexico it will be used to craft one of the very best meals you will ever participate in. Even the prices are incredibly low considering the quality, a testament to the character of it's proprietors. This high end food isn't just for wealthy tourists looking for a date night, its art and beauty is meant to be shared with all who live and travel here. For an extra special treat go for breakfast and prepare to be wowed by incredible homemade bagels and the most amazing coffee you will ever have the honor of consuming. This isn't just the best restaurant in Cozumel, it is one of the very best in all of the world. This is the true essence of joy and the love of cooking. It's passion can be seen on all the faces of the wonderful people here waiting to serve it to you. My wife and I talk about it loud and often, and look forward to coming back year after year for yet another culinary masterpiece.

LOVE. Reservation recommended. We went there twice during our one week trip in Cozumel because we loved it so much. It’s the kind of Italian food that energize you afterwards instead of leaving you tired and draggy…so it means excellent and authentic!! The pastas were so fresh and their home made sodas are tasty. The staffs are super friendly and nice. The atmosphere is lovely; super chill. The service might feel a bit slow but it’s part of the ambiance, why would you rush a beautiful evening with great food and great company. We will be back when we return to the island!

The longstanding Italian restaurant Guido's is an excellent place to try some of the country's best cuisine. The menu features a variety of Mediterranean and pizza options, as well as seafood and vegetarian fare. The ambiance is relaxed and comfortable, with a leafy courtyard perfect for enjoying a drink or meal outside on warm days. Waitstaff are attentive and polite, and parking is available free of charge.
This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is great, and the food is fantastic and reasonably priced. We started with the handmade garlic bread and sautéed shrimp appetizer and couldn’t have asked for better food. The greens and goat salad was a perfect pairing with the appetizers. We ordered fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp, and a chicken dish that was awesome! We finished off our meal with the special chocolate cake desert! We will definitely make this a place we stop every time we visit! Hats off to the chef!

I've been here a few times over the years as i live in Cozumel. It's s magical little place. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the servers are always very friendly. I've had the fish here and it was very fresh. I recently came for just dessert and ended up ordering the duck tacos and their famous garlic bread. The sticky toffee cake is to die for and the creme brulee is amazing. I've had their key lime pie before and loved it.

Guido's!! The restaurant that I tell everyone about when they are going to Cozumel! We always go and sometimes twice! Absolutely delicious and always great service. Our server Edwin (?) has been there 20 years. He offered us a wine tasting before we ordered our bottle of wine. How wonderful that was and with his knowledge of the wines as well. I tried the catch of the day, mahi mahi and my husband enjoyed the seafood fettuccine. Both were great! 😁 Don't forget dessert... Sticking toffee pudding is delightful! 🤎 The outdoor seating area is always so pretty especially in the evening when all lit up. We will return every time that we are in Cozumel!

Best lasagna I have had in a long time. The linguini was also excellent. All the pasta is made fresh at restaurant. The red sangria pitcher was great - a refreshing good tasting drink. Ask for more ice as it get warm quickly. Chocolate mouse was very sweet.

Cesar was amazing and knows his stuff. The ambiance makes for an incredible dining experience. Their cocktails are delicious, but their wine selection is the main attraction. A large selection of whites and reds to fit the more picky wine connoisseurs. The food selection may be difficult for more picky eaters. However, you can't go wrong with any selection. A rotating selection of catch of the day provides a great opportunity to try something new and tasty. The location is clean and sanitary. I had no worries about cleanliness while I was there. I recommend if you're looking for a dinner out while in Cozumel!

This gem. We were walking by, late afternoon and hungry. Fresh off a snorkel trip where the chips and guac did not suffice. So glad we came in today for a light snack, but we will be returning in the next few days for a complete dinner. The atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous. The back patio is phenomenal with live trees, plants, open air, amazing lighting, and great artwork It’s a stunning restaurant. You can read reviews of what we ordered via the photos; drinks, salad, and wood-fired pizza. The staff were phenomenal. So kind, friendly, and attentive. I cannot wait to return to try the homemade pasta and garlic bread. Treat yourself. It’s truly a gem and prices are not as high as other spots. Based on the quality of the food, service, and lovely setting, I’d say you’re getting a deal.

Amazing food with great efficiency. I encourage you to sit at the bar and watch the "buzz" of the pizza station, dishwasher, and bartenders. I would have given this restaurant 5 stars, but a cat 🐈 ran through and took a seat in one of the chairs as we were eating dinner and at that very moment I was turned completely off. (I do not like cats and very allergic to them) We dined there 2 nights because the food was so good. Then that happened 🤣 The service, food and drinks were all very good.

Nice Italian restaurant with cozy patio seating, nice garden, good location right in the boardwalk. Good variety of food and drinks in the menu, our food was delicious. Friendly and attentive staff. There was a cat, which was odd, you don’t expect to find a cat or dog inside a fine dine restaurant. Other than that, will visit again and will recommend (if you don’t mind to see the cat around your table)

Fantastic. Really nice garden patio and the food was great. We ordered a pepperoni pizza (really good), beef carpaccio (strong pesto flavor, but the spinach paired really well with the dish), octopus (very light), the creme brulee, and toffee cake (very very sweet, the ice cream toned it down). We also had the sangria which wasn't as good as expected but it went well with all our dishes, ide come back.

When the waiter asked if we want one or two garlic bread, I figure it must be small. Then when you see it, it's huge! See photo. And then after we cut it up, it's hallow! So turned out like a naan than anything but crispy and delicious. Must try! Frutti de Mare - the ingredients are fresh. Expect a little bit more al dente. Mushroom pasta in special menu - That was the best flavor pasta of the night. If they offer it again, must try. The pricing of this restaurant is like US restaurant pricing.

Title: Quick Stop, Great Appetizer! Review: My recent visit to Guidos was short but sweet. We only had time for an appetizer, and I'm so glad we stopped by. We tried the sautéed shrimp, and they were absolutely yummy! The flavors were spot on, and the shrimp were cooked to perfection. I only wish we had more time to try more dishes because everything looked amazing. Despite our short stop, the service was excellent. Seriously great Place. When you walk in first thing after they open and they are cutting tomatoes and avocados, creating their own sauces and cooking everything fresh, you know you are in the right place. We went in and ordered 13 breakfast burritos and they were so fresh and good that we stuffed ourselves. The owners were really great people and humble for having such great food. The quality and service for cant be beat. The value and prices also cannot be beat. A 4 minute walk from the pier and as authentic as you can get. Thanks Guys,

Burritos Gorditos is an absolute must-visit! Nestled on a tranquil street, this hidden gem is easy to overlook but shouldn't be missed. The staff, incredibly friendly and skilled, whip up mouthwatering dishes with precision. The meat lovers burrito and tacos were beyond satisfying, hitting every spot just right. I highly recommend stopping by this gem of a spot.

Best burrito in town! Great value and friendly service. Quick, simple and quality ingredients. Great vegetarian options. Veggie bean and rice burrito is so good! We were in town for ten days and I think we got a burrito from here everyday they were open. I’m craving one right now. We will definitely be back the next time were on the island. Thanks again!

Huge delicious and cheap burritos near the big market. Friendly staff. Quick service. It's mainly a takeaway, but there are 2 small tables inside and a shaded picnic table on the sidewalk. Steak burrito was so good. Will return on the next trip to Cozumel!

Best breakfast burritos we’ve ever eaten. And we’ve eaten a lot of breakfast burritos. Get the large. The salsas are delicious. Add beans if you’re really hungry. Lovely service.

Came here after a referral from a breakfast restaurant around the corner. This place is in direct competition with Krazy King Burrito a block away which I ate at also. While the owner Tony was friendly and the burritos definitely better than I can get around here, I found the steak & shrimp to be unpleasantly chewy as the steak cuts were tough and the shrimp overcooked. The chicken, bacon & avocado was much better. The tortillas in comparison to Crazy King weren’t as tender. I have to give the edge to Crazy King.

We love Burritos Gorditos! Breakfast and regular burritos are both delicious (especially the shrimp burritos), and portions are really, really good for the price. We’ll continue to stop in whenever we visit Cozumel.

Delicious burritos and food we can highly recommend to come here and get some lunch or a snack the owner and staff are super friendly and helpful. It's a small place but the put a lot of love in the food. The prices are fair and we would definitely come back as soon as we visit cozumel again. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪 N+N

The food is creative, high quality and delicious. The service was spot on - the right balance of being really pleasant and informative about the menu and giving us to space to enjoy the food without interrupting frequently or inappropriately. The serving size was very generous so we could have ordered one less dish... Forgot to take a pic of our fave pork dish! A very special good value restaurant.

If you like all your food to be super sweet then this place might suit you. But we like some sweet and some savory. The cauliflowers were sweet, the fish of the day was sooo sweet and buttery I thought my arteries would be clogged by the time I was done. The potatoes were okay. The corn was delicious. The only reason we went to this place was because we had such an amazing experience at its sister restaurant, kondesa. Which was amazing!!!!! Highly recommend the sister restaurant.

Went with three friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed everything... excellent cocktails and apps and the mains were to die for!! I had seared tuna, one friend had pork ribs, while another had a sampler menu that we all took part in.

You need to come here. This is 5 stars on all accounts The food is amazing. Wood fire oven pork ribs with Jamaica-agave glaze, rosemary potatoes, Yucatán salad with a side of fired roasted elote (corn) with 5 chili aioli, tamarind and sesame seeds. 😋 Cozumel is rather limited in food choices compared to Playa Del Carmen and Cancun. I have only found a handful of places worth mentioning to friends (specifically only 2 others) until I came here. The service is amazing and attentive. It has a beautiful outdoor setting with trees and lights. It creates a great ambiance to enjoy a delicious meal. The prices were also not exorbitant as they can be for the same type of quality in Cancun or Playa Del Carmen. Come here. Get the ribs. Leave happy.

Thoughtful unique food that taste great and is good value for the price.  We tried the chef's degustation, octopus, skewered shrimp and a cocktail. All of the dishes were great and none disappointed.

My boyfriend and I came here for a romantic dinner while traveling with family. The food was presented beautifully, it tasted wonderful. The octopus was the first I've ever had that was really soft and not at all rubbery! Our service was exceptional, and when we brought back the family for New Year's Eve cocktails and dessert our server recognized us and stuck around to chat. You'd never guess from the outside what a beautiful garden the tables are in - it's so romantic and removed from the noise of the city. This is a beautiful spot and so reasonably priced for the quality of their food!

Great food and service. The wood oven in the garden makes it cool. We took the tasting menu, which was tasty every bite. The meats were superb (pork belly and picana) as was the lobster flat bread. And also the cocktails were well balanced with sweet sour spicy and strong. I only recommend the staff to tidy up a bit more (empty wine bottles laying around, unused tables on a stack). Cocktails +-120p, 5 course menu 700p is reasonable price for this quality

My favourite restaurant in all of Cozumel!!!! I'm a vegan, and this is not a vegan restaurant, but the chef created an amazing dish for me that was not on the menu. And every time I return he amazes me with a new and exciting creative meal made just for me. I wish they would add them to the menu. The place is amazing and the seating is mostly in their rear garden with wonderful decor and they usually have live music. On the one day that they didn't the manager Daniel sang a duet with me which was received with a thunderous ovation from the dining guests.

Kondesa is a seafood restaurant in Cozumel with an impressive jungle-inspired setting and romantic atmosphere. The menu features a lot of meat and fish, but the quality is high. Tables are set on a thatched-roof hut with garden seating.
Great last night group dinner in Cozumel after a day snorkeling out on the reefs! They fit us in but it seemed like they had a bunch of reservations for the evening. We tried most of the food menu and nothing was bad. The medium rare steak was more rare than medium, and it’s served with a half a bone filled with very nicely prepared marrow. The tortilla soup was nice, but very bland and not interesting, and not the best chicken soup I’ve had in about a week in Cozumel. The pasta with the fish of the day was probably the favorite. The drinks were solid, and the ingredients list gives you an accurate sense of what they’ll be like. They have quality ingredients. We tried all three desserts of the day; the churros were fine, nothing super special, the brownie with mole was a bit cakey but fine, and the vanilla cornbread/cake was probably the overall favorite. Service was great, setting is very nice, and the live jazz was a nice touch.

The most beautiful dining experience I’ve ever had! It’s like having a fancy dinner in a tropical rainforest while drinking marvelous margaritas, can’t get much better than that. My steak and lobster was delicious, and we loved the lion fish cakes which had very interesting flavor. 10/10 if you are looking for a dinner celebration or just a good date night out

Great service, however the food not so much. We ordered the Mezcal Fish, a variation of the traditional chicken Mole and a salad. We only finished the salad. While trying to offer a modern mexican cuisine, the adaptation was quite disappointing.

Wow. A must do, upscale with a fusion twist on Mexican. Loved it. Courtyard and atmosphere is cozy, romantic, and quiet. Service is friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. Delicious sangria and the salad, entrees, and dessert (the egg nog dish) all really wonderful. Parking out in front of the restaurant for maybe 6 cars? We went late and had no issue parking. (8 pm ish)

A beautiful open air restaurant in a lush garden, perfect for a romantic dinner (I was there on honeymoon with my wife). The menu is heavily oriented towards seafood, and what a menu! Definitely recommend the lionfish cakes, the octopus tacos and the fish of the day. Everything perfectly cooked and presented. Good choices of wines, not a given in Mexico where many restaurants, even high end, do not carry wine. The staff is great, and they had live jazz during dinner. Very reasonable bill at the end. Superlative!

This place is amazing! Our last night in Cozumel and we read recommendations on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint. The ambiance is a classy romantic jungle vibe, the food was great and the staff even better. I would highly recommend Kodesa. Best food we had on our trip.

We spent 2 nights in Cozumel and both nights we went HERE. The first night because we were looking for a romantic nice dinner atmosphere. The second night because we absolutely fell in love with the vibe, the live bossa nova / jazz music, and the food was so delicious we had to redo the entire night again! . We tried all types of things on the menu and everything was top notch. We experienced two different waiters and both of them were extremely nice. Lets just say that everything here was PERFECT. . I wish I could replay these 2 nights over and over again ❤️ It became my new happy place 🥰

Kondesa was arguably the best dining experience we had in Cozumel. The food was incredibly delicious! We loved the duet performing instrumental covers. The music coupled with the outdoor environment made for a unique dining atmosphere that perfectly complemented the evening. The staff was friendly and the kitchen was efficient. After dinner, we enjoyed both the churros and chocolate cake. 10/10 We will be back.

Nice place. Unique outdoor decor coupled with a jazzy ambiance…and there’s a chap playing jazz, on the Saturday night we visited. Respectable food and certainly a place I’d recommend to gather with friends or for 2. It’s advised to call and make a reservation.

Amazing dinner! Very romantic outdoor area, live music, and great service. Food was the best we’d had so far in Cozumel. Catch of the day was grouper and that was the best grouper I’ve ever had. Highly recommend for anyone in the area.

Wow! The food here is amazing, and the vibe of Kondesa is absolutely outstanding. Our whole meal was wonderful from start to finish. Our waiter, Renny was very knowledgeable about all the items and made some great recommendations which is usually what we go with since they seem to know the menu items best. Anyway, the meal was magical and one we will remember from our trip to Cozumel. From awesome appetizers, to exotic delicious drinks (so good), to their fabulous main entrees, to their delectable dessert the whole meal was one I can't recommend highly enough. If you are in Cozumel, Mexico definitely put Kondesa on your list of restaurants to definitely try. 5 solid stars and two thumbs up.. way up. Muchas gracias!

The food and cocktails are very nice. It's a simple menu with great flavor options. What really sets this place apart is the outdoor dining that feels like you are in the jungle. My only issue was that the food came so fast that we felt a little rushed. It was not full, just too efficient ;)

Best dining experience in Cozumel - amazing food, service and ambiance. Felt like we were eating in a clearing in a beautiful forest, waitstaff was helpful, attentive and knowledgeable, cocktails were tasty and reasonably priced, and the dishes were nicely plated and presented - and delicious! Highly recommended.

I have to say Kondesa is a great restaurant located in the heart of Cozumel. Its modern kitchen gives all of its dishes a Mexican take and infuses it with other flavors. The restaurant space itself is dark and very romantic so it’s perfect for a date night. Pictured are the oaxacaqueno and the another drink that was just as amazing. Followed by the house special dish with fresh corn tortillas and goat cheese, bao lechon (a must try dish), wagyu dumplings (my favorite), mole oaxaca and mezcal fish. The main dishes were amazing and full of flavor but can totally see how appetizers can be the main dishes after a few drinks. To end the night, we have the house dessert which their take on corn bread, banana flambé and ice cream topped with an amazing tres leches type sauce. I left completely satisfied and can’t wait to visit again. Thanks to Remy for a great night and his recommendations as they were all on point.
