Taco restaurant
Tacos El Yaqui is a great place to get some tacos. The beef is always delicious and the staff is very friendly. They often have a line, but it's worth the wait. If you're in Rosarito Beach, be sure to stop by Tacos El Yaqui!
Great tacos! These tacos are like a combination of a quesadilla, a small burrito and a taco. Great flavor with a little spice but overall tame. I'm a vegetarian so no meat but the beans, cheese, guac and pico/sauce had a great flavor wrapped in a crispy oversized flour tortilla. Typically a long line but not if you go on an off hour. These are delicious and well worth the trip.
John V — Google review
They have basically 3 items on the menu....A flour tortilla taco one with and one without cheese, plus a quesadilla. We had one of each taco which were pricey but good in size and flavor. We were there mid week for lunch. There was a line, and kind of slow, so come with some patients. Enjoy.
Adrian V — Google review
Could very well be the best taco I’ve ever had! The meat on the wood fired grill will tempt your nose but the taco will bring you back for more. We visited twice in one weekend! Masks required and take out only at the moment.
Jennifer Lund — Google review
5 reasons Taco El Yaqui deserves 5 stars: 5. Easily located almost immediately after taking the Rosarito exit. 4. There’s a small, free, parking area. Be smart, lock your car, take any valuables. The restaurant is open seating so you have a view of your vehicle at all times and there are even a few big picnic tables in the car park! 3. Clean, stocked, and bright bathrooms! As well as ramps up from the sidewalk 2. Small and easily deciphered menu, saves you time deciding what you want staring at a menu with many items! They know what they do well and that’s all they do! 1. Food is served fresh, fresh, fresh and by friendly faces. We have picky eaters and each of my three kids raved over the quesadilla! One drawback (but easily overcome) that I didn’t see in the reviews, cash only. I didn’t realize until I had ordered and the cashier was totally cool and told me to eat and then go get cash out! Someone else in my group had plenty of cash on hand. It was only $30 USD for all 6 of us to eat. Would eat here again!

Tacos are amazing. Simple yet perfect. They match well with the tatemado Chiles. Worth the wait.
Uriel Ornelas — Google review
I own a condominium in Rosarito Beach and am there several times a year. The very 1st thing we do is stop at Tacos El Yaqui. There is always a line; it is always worth the wait. The most pleasurable thing, other than devouring what are possibly the finest tacos on the planet, is the aroma from the open air grill as one of the guys is grilling the beef. The other fun thing is that the staff is so irreverent -- joking, laughing, teasing customers, bursting into song for no reason. The tacos are absolutely fabulous, with that wonderful seasoned beef, guacamole, beans, cilantro, onions, and a variety of toppings you can get at the counter -- including fresh radishes, lime, and fiery peppers. The price is remarkably reasonable. Be sure to tip!
John Amado — Google review
Saw this place on Tik Tok and didn't know if I'd be able to go to it when I was in Rosarito. Luckily, my cousin found it, and I was beyond satisfied. Some of the best tacos I've ever had. You will need a nap after.
Austin Pena — Google review
As good as it gets. Freshly grilled steak for your tacos. They dont mess around with pottions.
anthony zaragoza — Google review
Very great tasting. Food. The tacos are delicious and big. I had enough with one. They were very efficient even do they had long line they moved it very fast.
Litzy — Google review
Always great food! Long line, but not sure what else could be done. Nice open eating area, lots of space.
Matt Z — Google review
The meat is soo good! The wait is LONG though! You would think they would have a better system to get the food out quicker but if you’re okay with a 20-40 minute wait then you’re good to go! Get 2 of the Perrones, you will enjoy them :)
Luis N. T. — Google review
Big delicious tacos for a cheap price. The employees were so cool that they started feeding my dad samples.
Ben Cate — Google review
Place gets crowded. Expect to wait a long time. But their twist on tacos are delicious! Salsa is not spicy, but they have grilled jalapeños that add a nice touch. I expected the arrachera to be a bit on the chewy side since I saw them fully cooking it, however, to my surprise it was extremely soft! Very delicious!
juan rosales — Google review
Really busy place, long lines just to place your order, once you finally make it to the taco man, you can only order from their limited menu, which consists of tacos "perrones" with asada, cheese, beans, guacamole, onion and cilantro or without cheese and lastly you can order without the beans, speaking of asada, they cook it right there on the wood burning grill and it's really good, the restaurant is open and the majority of the tables are for standing only, we waited about 30-45 minutes in line. For 4 tacos and 2 can sodas we spent 21.00 dollars. Most likely we aren't coming back.
Tony Herrera — Google review
This tacos beef style are so delicious! Highly recommended, be prepared for the waiting though place is so popular for locals and visitors that line tends to be pretty long, but is worth the wait.
Ephraim Miranda — Google review
Possibly one of the best tacos I've ever eaten. There is always a line but the wait is definitely worth it. Their menu is short and simple but their tacos are AMAZING and delicious. A must when visiting Rosarito.

Restaurant
El Nido Restaurante, located just off the main strip in Rosarito, offers a wonderful rustic ambiance with a calming Mexican feel. The restaurant is within walking distance from major souvenir shopping and is known for its authentic Mexican food as well as game options like deer and elk.
We walked by at first and there was a long line. Decided to wait it out. It was worth it. The atmosphere alone is amazing. They do have space for large groups- two parties of 10+ sat near us. Lots of options. Menus in both Spanish and English. We ordered lunch, but the breakfast menu looked pretty good as well. Our food was really good. My drink was super - cucumber margarita.
Aimee Mertz — Google review
First actual meal in Mexico and unfortunately I was not impressed, just not flavorful. Beautiful scenery with water, plants and birds. They have a stocked wine cellar and great aquas frfrescos. Spectacular freshly made tortillas!!
iisha hackett — Google review
The atmosphere of this resteraunt can not be overstated as absolutely phenomenal! If I could give it 10 stars I would. It reminds you of eating in a rainforest. There are live fireplaces inside next to tables, as well as a table next to a waterfall, there are plants everywhere. I got the Tbone steak, it was cooked perfectly, the smokey flavor was magnificent. The potato was well done, and the salad was what you would expect from a side salad. I was not a fan of the bean soup, but im not a big fan of pinto beans anyway. Fantastic place to eat, candle lit in the evening, soft music playing, would be a wonderful place for a night with the wife or some friends.
justin miller — Google review
There's not much to say the food is delicious. I just wish I could bring back the tortillas back to the bay area. I love there breakfast and lunch menu i just breakfast was served until 3 12 noon to early if you party until 5am and go bed at 6am . The dinner looks delicious but I perfer before 4pm . I wish many more happy years to them for generations to come.
dahc — Google review
This place took me by surprise because of the way it is designed in the inside. There was water streams, fire pits, old school equipment, dark, and overall badass. First time eating at this place and it was good. They do have some pricey items which is on the expensive side for the quality of meat your buying. Overall the experience was fun, the drinks were okay. Definitely a place to come and see for yourself. Recommend.
Christian Espana — Google review
I first ate here more than 45 years ago. Great then - Great now! Fantastic vibe for locals and visitors with traditional Mexican food that I love.
Dave Purcell — Google review
The atmosphere is great the service was amazing. The food and prices were not the best compared to restaurants in the surrounding areas. The tortillas are made in house-delicious! Overall a great place if you want a safe Mexican restaurant and willing to sacrifice some authentic Mexican food quality for the atmosphere/aesthetic.
I Scream For Icing — Google review
This was definitely an amazing place to come and eat. We received home made tortillas food was delicious. My boys can be picky eats and they loved the tacos here. Definitely coming back!
Chelo Regalado — Google review
As the restaurant is named, the interior is like a humongous bird net with real wild birds zooming by while eating🐦🪺🐦 An unique restaurant with natural garden-like landscape and multiple water feature for the tiny bird to bathe at🦜 Watch these little wild birds zoom by and listen to them sign while enjoying a flavor popping breakfast with the most softest flour tortilla🤤🇲🇽
Sergio Lemus — Google review
Fresh, homemade tortillas, awesome atmosphere, authentic Mexican food and drinks! The customer service was excellent with everyone being so friendly and accommodating. A bunch of us ordered the deer machaca with quail eggs and it was delicious. I would bring my friends and family back here when we're in town.
Tre Vucharatavintara — Google review
Such a wonderful place. Will definitely be back. Great staff. Fresh food.. fresh hand made tortillas
Raul Castro — Google review
The restaurant is so beautiful with all the green plants. The hot cakes/pancakes were delicious! So fresh and had lots of flavor. I asked for both eggs and bacon. The bacon was a generous amount. Their handmade tortillas were so soft and yummy! They had such great service. I would not recommend the French toast though.
Jaredd Franco — Google review
Awesome experience with a great interior that has tons of plants and little water features. Breakfast was really good with plenty of option and good drinks. I’d recommend the beef with quail eggs and the green juice which tasted super fresh.
Leon Voskov — Google review
I would give El Nido 3 1/2 stars if possible and went with 3 because of the excessive charge of water, my burnt flautas, and the average flavor of my food. The service was good during our meal, but it took a bit to find our server when we were ready to go. What was outstanding was the setting, decor, clean restrooms, and the overall ambiance. There are inside In the evening it felt like we were in a hideaway. I love the chimeneas, but if you have asthma, I’d pass. It’s smoky and your clothes will smell of smoke the next morning. They also have some nice options of venison and quail on the menu. Our party had steak and basic Mexican options. The enchiladas, tacos, flautas were pretty standard, but the tortillas were top notch! If you want a cool experience on your vacation, it’s worth a visit, but just know they stick it to you if you order water.
V P — Google review
A really unique experience! I really enjoyed all the plant decor - it’s like escaping into another world! The food is good and they have great selection of it! The staff are friendly and helpful!
Nolan Rumble — Google review
El Nido is a phenomenal place for a romantic dinner right in Downtown Rosarito! They have plants and all over and in the back there is alfresco dining with beautiful waterfalls. Their steaks are amazing and cooked in the front of the restaurant by the bar so you can see them cooking your meal. The lamb is the best I’ve had all over the world. It melts in your mouth and is cooked to perfection! Their salad included with dinner has a quail egg and the best homemade dressing. This is always my first stop for dinner. Pro Tip: if you go on off hours ask to see the 100+ year old wine cellar. It’s so phenomenal to see! Check out my video below. Great prices. Super friendly staff and always the best food in town. Free parking around the corner and a cool mercado a few shop down that opens up a huge outdoor market. They also have phenomenal breakfasts!
Dannette Cara — Google review
The place is very nice love the atmosphere it’s super beautiful but to be honest the food is not all what I expect I have try more authentic food maybe cause my mom is a good cook I expect everyone to cook the same ! I will say the meat cuts are and should be your first choice personally I don’t like meat but my husband meat choice was great and well done , I got enchiladas they was not what I had before they tasted like tomatadas and they was also hard enchiladas are my favorite meal so I do have high expectations. The limonada was good the tortillas was one of my favorite part of the meal .

I've been going to this place since I was 4 ,I'm 45 now the food is superb ,the flour tortillas are to die for ,for breakfast I get the omelette with ham & cheese, for dinner eve do it's a steakhouse mostly ,I go for the garlic fish and the bean soup is wow ,just be sure to add the cilantro & onion on it
robert garcia — Google review
Honestly, this place is not worth the hype. I went here on a Wednesday. It wasn’t busy at all. They first greeted us with tortilla chips and salsa. I ordered Chilaquiles with eggs, beans and rice. My Chilaquiles, were basically the tortilla chips, same exact ones they brought as the appetizer, and they just poured Chilaquile sauce on. The sauce did not taste good and was cold. They didn’t even bother to heat up the tortilla chips in the sauce. On top of all of that we sat in an outdoor garden, which happened to smell because of the plants and mini waterfall. It looks nice, but it is not worth the smell or food.

I was a bit wary about visiting after reading the reviews but I spent NYE here and had an amazing time. Papas & Beer had me upload my vaccination card to their website and once it had been approved I was sent a QR code, the day of the event I checked in with the code and received a wristband and was told not to remove it. They also sent me a helpful what to expect email with a map of the venue which was extremely helpful. My wrist band included access to the open bar from 7 pm to 9 pm. Very happy with the level of service received at the open bar. We tipped a couple dollars for every drink & the bartenders were generous and we were given multiple shots per drink. Also there was rarely a wait to get a drink as well. I would definitely recommend visiting Papas & Beer, just be careful, stay aware of your surroundings, don’t drink too much, and carry only a certain amount of pesos for the night so you don’t get ripped off.

Rogelio Camacho was amazing!! Great service!! So attentive. Definitely will continue to come back!!
Betsy Gamboa — Google review
This was a great visit overall. The staff was friendly and attentive. The drinks (and food) were fantastic! Thank you Papas&Beer and Uriel for making our visit one to remember!
Haley Davis — Google review
The atmosphere and music is good, but I do not recommend going for drinks. Pregame if you can. They overcharged us for only a few drinks, shots, and a bucket of beer ($700). They charge in US dollar. I’m pretty sure it’s cheaper in the US. They knew we were American and took advantage of us. The workers are nice and act like they care, but they do not. They are just scamming you and want your money. So, go at your own risk and be ready to spend a good amount of money.

Went on I enjoy the weekend you get the merch you paid for but not the experience posted online it’s very dirty, and not safe at all and if you are African American you won’t feel welcomed. Also the area it is located on the weekend of this trip we were robbed by the police they were targeting people who came to papa and beers.

Came down for a day, first night came for the music at night, not a lot of people but the vibes were great! Service was good and Mechanical bull was a plus. Next morning we came to eat breakfast and had aguachiles, fajitas, and tacos all were super tasty. Our server was super attentive. Definitely will come back!
Yaki Rodriguez — Google review
Very attentive service with great food and drink. Staff really cares about your experience, and will do a lot to make it happen! Our servers moved tables and umbrellas for us to sit somewhere else because of the noise. Oscar Herrera who I believe is the bar manager, talked to us and made sure everything was going well! This place is super spacious, and you should definitely check it out even just for their extensive drink menu!
Clara Lepke — Google review
Super fun environment We visited with our kids so we’re here for the day only!! Bar manager Oscar came over to check on us which was nice too. We ordered the Cali burrito - the meat was a little fatty but good. My son is picky so Uriel our server put everything on the side which was great too. Thanks!!

Visited Papas & beer for the weekend. Very Fun weekend with alot of memories! Music could have had more Variety as they played the same songs every few hrs & all 3 nights visited. They also need more bottle service areas as everyone was getting buckets so they started kicking out other peoples from spots they have been in all night ordering to accommodate more people through out the night. Majority of staff was super friendly and respectful! I never had a problem when using the women’s restroom but i did pass by a very long line throughout the night being glad i didnt have to use the restroom in that moment! Met alot of dope people! Open bar was crazy busy but super worth it! Loved the beach access as it was definitely one of my favorite parts!
Isa Rae — Google review
They mark up prices & lie about price on items once bill comes they mark stuff up a few usd. My mom ordered a double margarita it didnt have an ounce of alcohol on top of that the waiter said it was 13 turns out they charge another 13 bucks for a shot that was never poured into drink. Never going back again I can only imagine during spring break all the people getting scammed out of money watch out if you from Cali or any where in US they try and take advantage. They sell 20 bracelets because they give you free juice all night with those wrist bands. As we were leaving the person in charged acted like he cared and asked us what happened but it was pretty obvious its an act. I do not recomnd this place to anyone I didn't belive the reviews but I witnesses it first hand. I don't usually leave reviews but I had to say something.
Asencio LosAngeles — Google review
I had $154 credit with them because of a event I bought that got cancelled due to the pandemic. Their customer service was nice and professional enough to give me credit for their restaurant or loose it. She gave me a voucher and said I could use it on food and drinks, so me and my wife went to eat dinner and we are told we can only use it toward drinks, I had to demand to talk to the manager to argue that it should be used for food as well. After all they agreed to let me use my credit for food and acted like they were doing me a favor. They took the voucher and I never saw it again. We ordered shrimp cocktail, shrimp ceviche, chicken fajitas, queso fundido, drinks and beers. The food was good except for the ceviche, we weren't given utensils had to ask for them. I noticed the drinks were small and light compared to other times we'd been there, the beer was over priced. I told the waitress to let me know when my voucher was done and she did but I never saw a bill of my consumption. I fell I might have been taken.
Jesus Munoz — Google review
The food is not that great of a quality, since there is an influx of individuals to attend to. The atmosphere is pretty cool since they got music, the sand patio vibes and it’s right next to the beach.

Mexican restaurant
Los Panchos, a renowned Mexican eatery in Rosarito, has become known for their delicious carnitas over the course of 70 years. This family-owned establishment offers an array of fried pork delicacies, including the popular chamorro and costillas. With positive reviews and a convenient location near an Airbnb, visitors can indulge in breakfast options such as pancakes, chilaquiles, and chiles. The quality of food is exceptional, complemented by fresh orange juice and limeade.

(Translated by Google) The place had seats available as soon as we arrived, it filled up quickly at meal time. The waiters were quite attentive and the toilets were very clean.

The only bad part of it yup I do can pay 500 for 1 pound of carnitas and a beer for that we paid 600 plus we left 100 pesos of tip. even though I think it's to expensive yup it's GD but 1 pound for 500 yup they gave us the cilantro onions and some refried beans and yup hand made tortillas... Unreachable for some other person I don't know because it was Sunday it was that expensive ooh yeah and it was my wife and me only

This is a very Mexican restaurant. Buying carnitas here is the best, and the greatest thing is that you get served tortilla chips with beans prior to your meal. I definitely recommend getting the personal order as two people can easily eat and be satisfied. The bathrooms are usually clean but it's always crowded so if you're going to be drinking a lot of liquids be sure to be prepared for this. The coffee served there is very good and the great thing is that you get a refill. The tortillas are made there on the spot. I definitely recommend eating here with your family because you can also get other meals that aren't just related to carnitas which is great. Definitely a five out of five stars for me experience. Update Feb: flan of the Gods!

Restaurant
Susanna's Restaurant, nestled inside Pueblo Plaza, offers a serene ambiance with vintage decor. The menu features the best of Californian cuisine, including appetizers, salads, pastas, desserts, cheeses and select wines from Baja California. Diners rave about the lemon dill poached sole in a dill butter sauce that is so delectable it could be mistaken for lobster.
A couple months ago a group of us stopped in for an incredible dinner. Our host was fantastic as was the ambiance and build out of the restaurant. Fantastic wine selection and accommodated us with vegan options that were really tasty including a Mediterranean pasta. We were truly made to feel at home and could not recommend this spot more highly. Also a super cute gato.

I love this place been coming for over 10 Years!!! While in Rosarito I visitied 2 times. Each time it was absolutely amazing, the service is excellent, the food is 5-star, the ambience is amazing. Even live music and a resident cat. Please make sure you visit. Both nights my server was Julio, he is a sophistcated and humourus man who knows all the dishes. Can't wait to come back again. I really can't recommend it more.

What a find! Absolutely everything here has been wonderful. The staff are so kind, the ambiance is spectacular (their patio is so cute) and the food is some of the best I've had in all my travels. The plating and presentation is only outdone by the taste and quality. Highly, highly recommend this gem.

Absolutely love this restaurant. Food is amazing and the flavors blow away my expectations. The recipes hit all the flavors, sweet, salty, tangy, spicy. Portions are more then fair. Prices are reasonable. Service is professional and you feel like family. Cute location just off the main drag. Payed parking lot is across the street if street parking is not available. If you're looking for a memorable meal give Susanna's a try. I'm a customer for life.

The ambiance and location of the restaurant is lovely. We had trouble finding it the first time as it’s a bit hidden away. The food was beyond our expectations. Mediterranean pasta dish is vegan friendly if you ask for no cheese/no pesto. Country style pork was cooked perfectly. The service is excellent! Our server was so friendly both times we visited. She spoke very good English and even gave me the option to customize my dish free of animal products. Will definitely come back.

This is a good restaurant to consider. It was my first time trying it. I had heard lots of recommendations. I had the lamb and my nephew had the salmon. The lamb was a little tough and I expected it to be more tender. It had a good taste. The salmon dish was very good. The service was excellent and the decor was very nice. Parking is a little difficult. I recommend the Rosarito Beach hotel to park and walk over.

3.5⭐️ This restaurant is just adorable. Susanna’s is so aesthetically pleasing, the food is the topper 😂 I wanted to try something new when we tried this place, and I got a Strawberry salad 😩😢 I don’t like sweet stuff in my salad, I have no idea what I was thinking man. It wasn’t bad, my husband liked it. I just… don’t like sweet stuff on my salad 🤷🏾‍♀️😂 someone who does, would probably love it. I do recommend trying if you’re in the area, maybe just not that salad 🤣

Recommending everyone have a good dinner here. Pass the noisy central street of Rosarito and turn here. Simply great cocktails. Very well done. Dishes Michelin level. Home cooking prepared with fresh groceries. The hostess loves her visitors very much.
