What a gorgeous little spot! I enjoyed a weekend lunch here and polished it down with a couple of glasses of champagne. Charming venue with friendly service. The salt and pepper squid was melt in the mouth. Sirloin a little over cooked but I ordered it rare so still came out as a medium. Loved it especially the sticky date pudding which was drowning in caramel sauce

This was a great spot for lunch; salads were great. Coffee was good too once the power came back on.

Dinner here was our best meal we had on the island. Friendly staff and a nice ambience. Also went back for a Devonshire tea in the garden.

One of the best dining experiences on the island, hands down. From the staff who were falling over themselves to help with a smile, to the fish dishrs and the Brulee .... Wow!! ... the Brulee is something else. This is definitely one of the top 10 on Norfolk. Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner

The best restaurant on the Island. Fantastic food and friendly staff, we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here and they went the extra mile and decorated our table. We have now eaten there three times, lunch and two dinners, and everything on the menu is great.

First time at Hilli’s, and YOU have to go! It’s a fantastic spot with amazing food. The pork is to die for. IT WAS FIRE!! The service was outstanding, and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an incredible experience.

The food was amazing but the service wasn't very good. We were disappointed that the Seafood crepe wasn't available. I'm sure the waitress attire wasn't footy shorts & a t-shirt tied at the front so her midriff was showing. The other waitress was dressed very well.

This place is excellent. Great setting with nice outdoor seating and lovely service. Both the owner and Joyce (?) went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Lovely dishes and big portions. Went twice during our stay on the island.

Went here for lunch and had the best chicken burger ever. Quality ingredients and very tasty. It came with cheese and smoky bacon. I requested to have it with no sauce or salad (as I’m a purist) 😄 When it arrived at first, the kitchen had not granted my request, but just as I was about to complain, the waitress had realised the mistake, came back to the table, profusely apologised, and had a replacement burger ready within a few minutes. It was delicious. There is a lovely outdoor dining area in the garden surrounded by greenery, with a great atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.

My favourite cocktail spot on the island. Beautiful decor and garden for a lazy lunch or intimate dinner. A must visit.

This was the low point of my Norfolk experience. On an otherwise friendly island, the cafe seemed unhappy to be serving customers and our waiter just walked away as we asked for some cutlery when our meal arrived. Unnecessarily unfriendly. Food was ok but you can do better elsewhere.

Of all cafes on Norfolk Island, this one is always the busiest. I suspect that whilst locals do visit, it is dominated by visitors most of the time. There is a reason that it is always busy - the food and beverages are generally of very high quality and the staff are very friendly. I'm generally there once per day when visiting Norfolk.

Great coffee shop with excellent food and drinks choices. Some specialty teas and treats. Staff friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Great place for a bite. I would have given 5 stars if you had real milk for my tea and not fake UHT milk. Please consider having this option for customers.

The Olive was my go to for breakfast and coffee whilst on the island. Friendly service and plenty of options on the menu. The scones were a particular favourite as well as the delicious, hot coffee.

Top of my list for friendly service & really good food with enticing daily lunch specials. Extensive seating options: inside, verandah & Al fresco. Wonderful to have quality sugar-free soft drinks on offer. Surrounded by good shops off main street on beautiful Norfolk Island.

Make sure you try out the muffins, they were delicious and different everyday. The toasted sandwiches/paninis are worth a try. The Korean chicken burger was delicious. There is no WiFi here though. Definitely a great place to sit and relax.

Crowded when open, which on "Island Time" isn't as often as we'd have liked. But worth it. Nice coffee and decent food.

We try the beef burger and it was nice, has beetroot, onions with Bbq sauce, cheese, some lettuce, the taste is very unique due to the ingredients but worth to try. It feels light but at the same time heavy, so that’s quite awesome tho! One bad let of fries it’s plenty for two persons to share, however the aioli taste very simple.

Very satisfied with the coffee and the service! Meals are good. Sweets are fresh and balked daily. Staff are very friendly. Could not resists to not come back every day for coffee! Just one feedback: poached eggs need to be a little bit runny rather than being hard boiled

Beautiful garden setting a little way out of town. A small but varied menu. Tried Pork Belly entree, which was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful, my friend had Octopus and loved it. Eye fillet for main, melt in mouth and again presentation 1st class. A generous serving and accompanied by onion, broccoli and potatoe( only small amount of each). Dessert was Chocolate Decadence. Yummo. Loved all dishes. Also enjoyed a Lemon Meringue Martini, scrumptious. Prices were a little expensive but was worth the experience. Booking a must.

It has been said The Homestead is the best restaurant on the island. I haven't sampled each restaurant on the island to determine if this is correct. However, the other restaurants would need to be exceptional to remove Homestead from this position. On an island where everything is limited. there is an abundance of flavour and experience at Homestead. From the knowledgeable and helpful (local) wait-staff to the exquisite food - Homestead is a must-try on your trip to Norfolk Island.

Somebody give these guys a Michelin Star already! I was bowled over by the perfect texture and taste of EVERY single meal that came to the table. And they are SO beautifully presented as well and that seems to be a hard balance to strike. It's always great food there and last night was even more spectacular than usual. The service was also wonderful as always. Of all the restaurants Ive eaten at in the world, I feel so so lucky that we have this one right on our doorstep. Thanks for us, we'll be back ^_^

Great ambience, service and food. Prices reasonable for the quality dining experience. Inside was quite cold, a little drafty with main door remaining open. Had to wear a thick jacket ... not so easy to relax.

Best experience and meaI I had on the island was at The Homestead. Lovely property, spacious dining areas. I enjoyed some authentic Thai flavours, comparable to any good restaurant in Melbourne or the streets of Bangkok. A must if visiting Norfolk Island.

Great place to have a meal. The sourdough bread was amazing, the mains delicious and the desserts were super yummy. Really lovely restaurant and well deserved of its reputation. No wonder you have to book before getting to the Island

I would come back to Norfolk, just to dine at The Homestead. Don't get me wrong, I've had some lovely meals here over the past week- at the Paradise Resort, at the Island Fish Fry, in local's homes in a progressive dinner, but as far as dinners go, there's been nothing as great as my Duck Confit with red wine jus and local veggies, followed by Ice-cream Sandwich including Hilli Goat Ice-cream, fresh figs and passionfruit cream. The staff were amazing and the owner, Jill, was just so friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is as it says, a homestead, decorated in a really calming and homely country decor, and the gardens are beautiful. Outside on the road are huge twisted fig trees that must be hundreds of years old. Just a great night out.

This place is amazing, the food is absolutlely amazing, we had the sourdough and pate with beetroot relish for starters, our mains were the lamb rump and my partner had Duck confit. The dererts in my opinion was the highlight of the meal, I had the ixecream aandwich and my partner had the chocolate desert. The only thing was the mozzies, a repellant would have made it a perfect night. The service by Izzy was first rrate.

A wonderful value 5 course sample of dishes from this beautiful venue. Great wine list and selection of fresh local produce. We would have appreciated the inclusion of some fresh vegetables in the degustation menu. Loved it and very sorry we could not get back for a second dinner during our stay on Norfolk 🥰🥰

Our experience was not as good as others review this restaurant. We were expecting a fine dining experience but it was more cafe style . Parts of the restaurant looked homely and quaint , but we ended up in the bare, lacking in ambiance verandah. Table dressing was non existant at our table. Not sure if it there is some secret system, but some other tables had tablecloths , and or placemats at least. Some chairs had comfy cushions, ours none , very standard cafe wooden chairs. Our table was bare with obvious glass marks , well used timber cafe style table , wet from the leaking roof. Cloth napkins were supplied (thank you) , ordinary cutlery. Music was cafe hip hop style. Staff are young and bubbly , attentive , but not great at explaining menu . Food was nicely served, great bbq octopus and chorizo with that charcoal flavour for starter . The meat and fish main dishes were dry and lacking flavour. The much advertised charcoal bbq cooking of this restaurant was lacking in both of these. (Maybe they weren’t cooked this way. ) Sides of baked potatoes were dry and overcooked. Lovely fresh tender green salad was lightly dressed. The bread is dense in texture and not warm. For us a disappointment after all the great reviews we had heard.

Food is fantastic. I understand they were short staffed but service was appalling and staff seemed to lack basic training. Menu wasn’t explained, no knowledge of the wines, side plates not provided, staff cleaning up around us while neglecting to take our order, no dessert menu offered, no wine bucket, no expectation management with items on the menu unavailable (print a daily menu rather than one with half the items unavailable). Expected better for the price.

Fine dining prices that are not matched by the experience. The short fall is significant. There are better options out there for food quality, service and value. Won't be back. The photo is a $52 meal, after you pay an extra $4 for the sauce 😞

Only 5 stars? What a beautiful place! 12 of us for dinner and a normal busy night and the staff lapped it up!. Amazing food, wine and service topped off an amazing trip for us all. Great location. Brilliant relaxed atmosphere, and food that we found to be first class! A place to go on Norfolk Island at least once! If not twice. Customer service was beyond reproach here.. 🙏

Consistently good food and service. I love that my carnivore husband is always satisfied and that for myself, a Gluten Free & Vegetarian meal is never a problem. Great service, we always feel comfortable and spoilt at The Bounty, well done Joanne, Ernie & team

Great choice on the menu. I had the Pesto pasta followed by lemon tart- yum! Our 4 dinners were tasty, well presented and beautifully cooked.

The Bounty was my go to for dinner whilst on the island. I couldn’t get enough of their rib eye steak which is only on the specials board but I think they should add it to the menu. Friendly service and warm venue, loved it

It was a nice place with good meals if you picked right. I made the mistake of picking a meal with calamari which I eventually found on Norfolk Island is always made with frozen perfectly circular rings which are average at best. The prawns were similar. The restaurant itself was a novel converted home with a mixture of small and large rooms. The staff were friendly and efficient and meals were served reasonably quickly despite the restaurant being near capacity. I would eat there again but pick more carefully or ask seemingly obvious questions so you know exactly what you are ordering.

Went to the Bounty bar and grill for Xmas Eve dinner 2023. Friendly staff, lovely cosy atmosphere, and the best chicken schnitzel I’ve ever had, followed by an amazing trio of ice cream. Quality food. During our week on Norfolk Island I would say this was the best restaurant we found for an evening meal. It definitely has the best atmosphere. Prices were reasonable too. Just wish we had discovered it sooner!

Even for an island I found this to be very overpriced at 48 dollars for a low quality steak. The steaks came out unsalted and the sides were not pleasant. The jacket potato was very average with no seasoning and just some whipped sour cream on top. The mushroom sauce came from a packet with mushrooms added. The staff were friendly and attentive. The location is a nice place to sit.

Gorgeous setting, great atmosphere with an open fireplace. Great music played in the background. Entree garlic & herb bread, receipt stated with dipping oil. No dipping oil on the breadboard? Sadly ordered the fish $38 & scallops (X 3) an extra $8. Was charged an extra $12 each on the receipt that I couldn't read due to not having glasses. Discovered when got back to accommodation. Scallops were ok the fish was thawed out in the microwave making it very rubbery, hard to cut & had no taste. Salad was fresh & dressing was very nice, 1 potato & sour cream although receipt stated sweet potato fries? Wine was very nice a red $15 & a Moscato $12. Pavlova & season fruit on the small side for $18 but very nice. Disappointed as the reviews we'd read were very good. Wish I'd ordered the beef as that appeared to be very nicely cooked & smelt divine. The quality of the fish really spoilt the experience. You'd expect cloth napkins at such a lovely setting & a fish knife, not a huge steak knife, quite awkward. Some tables had melamine side plates where others had china. Observed tables being sprayed & wiped although not the place mats that were left dirty with crumbs etc. Toilets are spotless, smell lovley & your able to select a small cloth hand towel.

Loved the food and the drinks were nice and strong. I will definitely be returning the next time I’m on the island!

The Black Anchor has created a very unique and atmospheric experience that makes it simply the best place on the island to go and relax to have a drink. could not recommend them more!

Best bar in town and open later than pretty much anywhere else on weekends. Bar tender was awesome. Young crowd.
