Darling and Murray River Junction and Viewing Tower is a fantastic spot for dog owners, offering stunning views of the Murray River and old paddle steamers. The area features a lookout tower, outdoor gym, children's play area, and nearby toilets. With plenty of grassland to explore and shaded areas from trees, it's an ideal place for leisurely walks.
Where the mighty Murray and Darling Rivera join. Can see the water level on the trees are the floods. The viewing platform does have the best view of the rivers, wished there were a better location. Worth the stop over
Pleasant park and is in good order, considering that it was inundated by the big flood in 2022. Information board has quite a lot of detail. I was able to see tide marks on some of the gum trees. Water in river is currently all from Murray as barrages at Menindee Lakes are closed.
Mary Coombe — Google reviewWell maintained park where the Darling and Murray rivers meet. The lookout is a must to climb as you will see the two masses of waters merge, one clean one muddy. Clean toilets, picnic tables...
Ty Lynch — Google reviewA vey pleasant park to visit with lots to see. Well kept and some great stories about Wentworth. The views of the river, Loch and the countryside were so peaceful and serene. We were fortunate to have a family member who explained the whole area to us. A hidden gem.
Glennie B — Google reviewIt's a beautiful place to walk around. You can see traces of the floods still on the trees 10 metres up the tree trunks. A playground for younger kids to play at as well. You will enjoy it if you soak in the fact that two of Australia's largest rivers meet here.
Anand Iyengar — Google reviewNice park at the important meeting point of the two big rivers, has a viewing tower, signs about its importance and toilets, has picnic areas if you had food
David Hackett — Google reviewWhat a great idea to build a viewing platform in Wentworth Park! Shady picnic tables beside the river and plenty of parking.
_ “Van-go-Golf” _ — Google reviewPlenty of parking, seating and BBQ area. Viewing platform is a great place for taking photos.
Grass is still growing and the toilet facilities were closed.
Romano Feuerreiter — Google reviewWe visited Wentworth and its riverside parks in early March 2023 and there was plenty of visible evidence of the incredible high water levels during the early 2023 flooding. It must have been both heart breaking & terrifying for the town population.
Council teams are working as fast as they can to restore the areas to what they once were.
Colin Slark — Google reviewA beautiful and peaceful place to park, take in the views and rest up or to let the kids run some energy off.
Loads of shade under the trees to sit and relax. There is also a park at one end with exercise equipment and playground for the littlies.
The toilets were very clean and there is loads of parking.
Melissa Spratt — Google reviewWell kept facilities. Toilets and Picnic area. Where the Murray meets the Darling.
Marge Hynoski — Google reviewAn amazing place to take your dog for a run, with some great views of the Murray River alongside some old paddle steamers on the shore. There's a lookout tower for even better views, an outdoor gym, children's play area and toilets nearby. Lots of grassland area to explore and plenty of shaded area from the trees too. There's a few adjacent walks that you can do too which is great.
