I was trying to gef my luck by going go show to play a nine holes only. They gave me a chance to try the Executive 9 hole course. I was a very compact lay out amidst their Lake and Murray course, tho without loosing the fun and challenging course. Staff are awesome, very helpful. The facility within the resort are amazing, restaurant worth to visit, even they have the cinema as well a very complete facility for a family holiday.

We up for a golf weekend. What a great package with dinner, breakfast and all you eat golf. Yes that's right, eat golf! The Murray course is spectacular along the Murray and the weather was perfect. This is a must if you want great value for money golfing getaway!

Great for a golf weekend all three courses are in perfect condition and are very enjoyable no matter the handicap. Unfortunately some of the staff aren't too keen that your there and weren't the most welcoming making you feel like a hindrance when you ask for help or just ordering your food. Had a couple of unpleasant interactions which did alter the mood of our trip. Recommend the golf but there is a bit of weird vibe going on. ( Beware of the bloke from the pro shop who drives around making you play faster so he can go home. Weird unit )

Dined here for Sunday Kids eat free and the meals were terrible. We have tried about three times to be able to support local clubs but we're done. They need to seriously look at what their serving and see its not okay to send this food out!!!!

Great conference facility, fabulous amenities, helpful staff. I love the well-manicured and lush lawn of the golf course. The catering service during the conference is generous. After the conference, we had dinner and the food we ordered has good serving size. The main meals are yummy and the desserts are excellent. Not full rating because the cabin accommodation, although clean and tidy, is already showing its age. The paints are already cracking and the aircon/heater is now very noisy.

Played 18 holes at the Lakes Course. Not very engaged with people at Pro Shop, they're not very friendly either. Course itself is in OK condition. The layout of the course is decent, with a few interesting holes to keep things engaging, particularly a couple of holes on the back 9. However, there's nothing particularly unique or memorable about the design.

We played a golf competition at the Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club- Murray Course. The course was in very good condition considering that where there was heavy rainfall last night. Fairways were firm and greens quick and ball rolled well. The pro shop staff were very friendly and helpful, made the experience really nice. The bar and restaurant section were very clean and had great views of the course. Highly recommend this place to play a game of golf and enjoy a drink afterwards.

I attended the golf club with my fiancè prior to watching a movie. I called earlier in the day to check times for the raffle was told they are sold from 5pm and will be drawn at 630pm I thought I had missed the raffle. However, on arrival found out they draw at 7pm so got some raffles and went to the bar where I requested a cocktail menu my server Will asked his duty manager Katrina who stated "that it is too busy don't bother about it" this is extremely poor management I am a paying customer. Will managed to find the menu and made me one of the best margarita's I've had. Thank you Will for the fabulous service you should be promoted. Although unfortunately due to the lack of care for paying customers by management I will not be returning to the club.

We have stayed here before and enjoyed the large rooms and great bistro on site. Our latest visit was a little dissapointing. Check in staff were very nice but, firstly, card to enter room didn't work, then we booked table for dinner and breakfast, only to find out that neither had been booked. Also, there were no bath towels in our room. Not the service we expected.

Sorry, very disappointing. Room was full of insects, no soap in bathroom, carpet very old and dirty, musty smell. I understand that you get what you pay for but discusting. Not going back to stay. Bistro was lovely and got lucky at the pokies. BEST caesar salad EVER.....!!! GO just for that.

I haven’t stayed here, but as a keen golfer l recently played the “Murray Course” here on 2 separate days, rated 46 best public access course in Australia, l rate it up with Royal Melbourne, Kingston Health and Commonwealth Golf Course l’ve played. With big separation between fairways, beautiful Murray Red Gums setting, plenty of Kangaroos, Kookaburra’s and other native wildlife everywhere. The Clubhouse in also in a beautiful setting, this complex is the biggest golf complex in the Southern Hemisphere with 45 holes of golf, 2 lawn bowls rinks and tennis courts and wellness centre. Meals are very reasonable priced here and drinks, a schooner of Carlton Draft was only $7. Yearly social membership is $15 and 6 day golf membership is only $360 per year, a bargain by Melbourne Standards.

Came to the golf club to have lunch and go to the movies. Found out too late the bistro was closed, but the snack bar was open. I had a bowl of the thickest home made pumpkin soup that was almost as good as mine. The hubby had a toasted foccacia, both lunches were good. We then went to the theatre to watch Mission Impossible and were most surprised to find goldclass type seating with leather recliner chairs and big armrests with snack tables. So comfortable, if the movie hadn't been edge of your seat most of the time, you'd be in danger of falling asleep, it was so comfortable. Would we go again for this experience, yes, most definitely. It will be the first thing we check out next time we're visiting Yarrawonga. 😀

Terrible. Our last day of our family trip dinner. After 1.5 still no food. One family had to get a refund as kids needed to go to bed. Steaks so tough and inedible, salads dry and not dressed, veggies over cooked and unseasoned. So manny large tables still with no food when we left, that arrived at the same time as we did. Has been told venue is hit and miss. All our 16 guest were very unhappy. RSL 10000 times better and food much better. Don’t waste your money. Bad management as they should have stopped taking on more booking of they don’t have the kitchen that can cope. As I am sure many people it will be a once off visit.

Great location. Very impressive facility. I’ve marked this down because of the bar/restaurant. Don’t get me wrong- we need to provide employment and opportunities for young people. But, hey management- here’s the thing: you have to train these people. First asked for a glass of Prosecco and the young man started rummaging through all the bottles of white and red wine on the counter until I pointed out that it would be in the fridge. Next round I ordered a glass of red wine and a different young man started rummaging around in the fridge. Basically, they had no idea. Went into the restaurant and ordered Asian pork ribs. After a fairly long wait was given Asian chicken. It was replaced but nothing inspiring.

The service was outstanding and the food was also outstanding! We got told straight up that it was a busy night (470+) and that it was going to be a 60 minute wait. We really appreciated the honesty and it worked out well because we spaced out our drinks and a couple of Keno games. The pork roast was soft and the snapper was so fresh! Oh! And the broccoli soup OMG devine! My partner never eats broccoli!!! The atmosphere was also great! Highly recommended!!

Excellent rooms, we were able to get our rooms at 11am which was a great help. Golf course is amazing and the breakfast each morning was very very good and much better than I was expecting. Highly recommend.

Food and atmosphere was amazing. We all got a variety of the bbq Chinese special and food was delicious. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Even getting me a more comfortable chair due to my back issues. Thank you everyone at the Golf Club for being so accomodating.

Popped in for lunch. Used the cafe on left of stairs on lower floor. Had roast beef and gravey sandwich with coleslaw. Reasonable price and best roast beef l have had for a long while. Set on golf course so nice views. Gluten free bread available. Chanced across a male peacock eating the bird seed at the entrance.

Beautiful room with beautiful views. Swimming pool is a great big one. Meals are ok. One down fall, bugs in rooms. Lots of them but they had bug spray.

Great place to enjoy a meal. Staff were helpful and very energetic. The food served quickly so not a long wait inbetween. Views of the area were lovely. Only problem we had was being asked to wear a mask from reception to table even though we had a medical exemption.

Lovely restaurant, beautiful view and faultless ambiance. Dinner menu was really nice and wait staff fantastic! They have a good list of cocktails, however, they seemed to be more like a mock tail. After 3 cocktails you’d expect to feel a little tipsy. Overall great experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and drinks here. We went for the pizzas - the Comfortably Yum and the Prawn to be Wild - which were well made, very tasty and a good price. Good choice of drinks here too. Service was really great here tonight, particularly from Deborah and Mackenzie. This struck us as a stylish well run place that we happily recommend

Awful service. Went into the allegedly upmarket club. Wanting drinks and food. Loads of staff. All too busy to serve us. Directed to a QR code. Couldn’t get it to work. Day was saved by a young man shannon. A+ for customer service. The front of house hospitality manager was very rude and needs sacking. Pizza only between 4 and 6. Nice to be told at 4.15 after waiting 20Min. We had pizza and two beers for $46. Was very overpriced and not worth the money. Avoid if you can

We got there a bit early to enjoy a few drinks outside before our reservation. The lake scenery was beautiful. We ordered the black spaghetti - very minimal crab and spaghetti for the price. Pork cutlet - we should have asked for more apple cider puree. The scotch fillet was perfectly cooked (medium rare), overall, it was very satisfying. Staff probably needs a bit more improvement on their customer service. No greeting when we entered. We waited inline for drinks at the bar, didnt know we needed to inform the table we were sitting at. Had to run back just to check, got back to the bar and had to line up again. We got one of our drinks, waited 20 minutes or so for our mocktail, which was wrong anyway. we didn't mention it as we didn't want to wait again. On the way out, there is no sort of communication on how the night went or food feedback, not even have a great night or a thank you for dining here. Our table waitress was very professional, though.

An excellent meal. Large impressive space very attentive and friendly staff. Fast service too. Lamb rump was juicy and nicely spiced. Steak was expertly seared and tender. But the cheesecake was to die for, so creamy, and the accompanying items were sharp and really highlighted the flavours. The views as the sun set were also amazing.

Lunch was pretty good. I ordered the Korean chicken burger, which was great! I also ordered the chocolate cheesecake for dessert, which was also good!😀 but 2 of my friends ordered the crème caramel desert and the caramel sauce was super burnt and had a horrible bitter after-taste we mentioned it to the waiter and he bought it to the Cook who said that was ment to be a burnt caramel but nowhere in the description did it mention that it was a burnt caramel. The dessert was so bad you couldn't eat it and the cook didn't offer any kind of alternative or refund for the dessert, which was disappointing, especially considering you are paying $18 for it. All of the meals came out at completely different times despite ordering our food at the same time so by the time some people at their table was finishing their meal others were only just getting their lunch which was a bit annoying. Considering that the food was incredibly expensive for what it was and overall tasted alright, the service was lacking greatly, especially since we were the only people there at that time for lunch

First up, it’s a lovely building, view and general ambiance. We went for a special lunch date and can see why the reviews are average. The waitress took our order incorrectly so my husband had finished his burger by the time mine arrived, which was the wellness bowl. The bowl was hardly a bowl - it’s small and served in a shallow plate/salad bowl with what looked like reheated rice (hard clumps in the shape of a container corner). I wasn’t sure who was the dedicated waiter for our table, if there was one, so had to fetch own water etc. and repeat things to a new person each time. It’s very expensive for what it is. Glad we didn’t order a $45 main. Could be good to sit outside, order a pizza or just stop by for coffee.

Wow this is an excellent surprise! Located right on the lake is Stock & Barrel which not only does good food the but has the architecture and scenery to match! We dropped by to grab a bit on a late afternoon and saw this place is open 24hrs. Great! (Not sure if food will be 24hrs though). So we drove down, past the gold course and you get to the end of the road that takes you to the well designed and beautiful area that is the restaurant and the hotel. Stock & Barrel is the low lying building on the left and make sure you stand by the black sign to be greeted by the grand sliding door! Amazing. Inside has a moody feel and very high end. The staff are friendly and the space is well spaced out (I assume for social distancing). We quickly checked out the menu and luckily were able to sit out the back to eat. The menu is simple but that is GOOD as you don't want to over complicate things. Menu items are interesting though and not just typical old Nana pub food. Another plus. Then you step out to the back area and the view is just incredible. We ordered from the QR code and needed our table wiped down. Was trying to grab the attention of any of the floor staff but they seemed to have their tunnel vision on (that's the only one piece constructive criticism I'd give) and we had to wait until the staff who served our drinks to request to wipe our table down. Shortly after our burgers arrived and they were super tasty and love the waffle fries. They have a nice flavour and crispy outside while super soft inside. The burgers are tasty too. I had the cheeseburger and my partner the chicken. Cheeseburger has a tang and sweetness to it which was delish and the chicken burger tasted fresh with the slaw and crispy species breast. I look forward to trying the out the rest of the menu + a hotel stay.

Service was excellent from the get go. Easy table-side ordering through scanning system (Mr Yum) at table and dishes came out promptly. Generous portion sizes. Great range of dishes to cater for food preferences. Tasty pub fare. Attentive staff all happy to accommodate guest requests. Great play area for kids.

Perfect location over looking lake, the cocktails are great, this place gets busy so must book. Play area is really great for the kids and lots of TV's to watch the footy. Service was quick even though it was busy! Pizzas were delighted!

WOW! As a last minute group of 18 adults and some kids, the staff at Criterion happily accommodated all of us. Considering how busy the place was, and how short staffed they were, the food was really really good, and the quality was consistent. The location and decor of the place is beautiful, myself, and the group, will certainly be back! Thanks again!!!

Booked a table for dinner on Friday evening. Great spot, menu selection had pretty good variety. Awesome playground for the kids. Bar staff very welcoming and the young waitress staff were very attentive making sure all our meals came out. Only issue we found was the gas heater near our outside table wasn’t operating but the staff advised their supplier gave them the incorrect size gas bottles, which couldn’t be helped really. Very good experience all round otherwise

Great outlook sitting on the deck looking over Lake and Bridge. Food great and reasonably priced. Just 2 negative for us. Served a LLB drink without the lemon as it ran out on tap, so just soda, also a menu change that wasn't mentioned. Beef Massaman came out as chicken, should have been informed of the change when ordering.

Outdoor deck has views of the lake and is a top spot in the Yarrawonga township. Parking on the street or across the road at IGA. Great pub food and cold beverages. Kids area near deck. Dogs on leash welcome with hose/tap near kids play zone and water dishes around near outdoor tables. Q code to order from each table or order at the bar and remember your table number. 😉

Great pizza. Varied menu. Expensive. Order from table on phone was novel and convenient. Big kids playground with fun, tall slides. Would be better if alongside the chips, kids meals had vegetables or salad as a standard.

Amazing view of the lake.. Absolutely delicious food. We there on Saturday afternoon, so many people outside on the deck but the food arrived really quick. Bar staff were very friendly. 100% coming back to this place.

The location of this hotel is beautiful! They were short staffed which had the two girls under the pump. The food was amazing however as we literally finished our entree’s our main came out and the same with our dessert. So we had no time really to calm our belly’s and made the experience rushed and made us feel like they just wanted to be done with our order. It also isn’t a good look when one of the girls was taking plates back to the kitchen and being on her phone texting or what not at the same time.

We came twice a couple of years ago and couldn't fault the Criterion. Service, food was all fantastic. This time no. Service still good and 2 of our 3 meals were great. We asked for the gyros to be served without onion. We sent it back as we specifically advised no onions. Meal came back a second time after staff had removed onions from the top plus a bite of the pita bread. We realised there were still onions underneath... same meal. They then served the meal.up again with same pita and a big bite in it. Very disappointing after such a great experience last time...

Had a fantastic family dinner at the Criterion last night! Georgia and her team did a wonderful job looking after us. Great location, lovely food and excellent service. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend 😊

Amazing place! So lovely and so accomodating. Food is exceptional and the attention of staff was just wonderful. We came for a quick date night, but have also come with kids before who love the playground while we all enjoy dinner. Cannot rate this establishment higher. Also lovely views of the water!

On the shores of the lake and nice cold beer. Perfect way to have lunch. Just come early otherwise you'll be lucky to get a seat at this popular place. Very disappointed as there were hardly any staff serving behind the counter and the wait time was at least 6 to 8 minutes for a drink. Other staff just ignored you and a smile wouldn't hurt either or is that not cool for 20 something year olds today?

Impressed with the meal here. I had the orange flavoured lamb blackstrap and it was very nice, perched as it was on an ancient grain salad type thing. The meat was very well cooked with a hint of pink. The flavour overall in the dish was good. Plus the service from the young servers was excellent throughout. Nice pub. Good meals. Good vibe. Good value. It’s a winning combo

Busy night.. some of the food was pre made and a bit dry as a result. Otherwise they have some great selections.. I think the pizza would be the best option. Good selection of drinks on tap. And great outdoor sitting area perfect for those hot days.

I'm quite the chicken green curry/coconut rice connoisseur, and what they provided me was a bland, pale, watery, soupish like consistency with zero taste and the coconut rice was also bland with only a faint hint of coconut, and zero sweetness to it. Quite disappointed really. The curry puffs were good though, but they are pretty hard to screw up!! Lift your game beautiful people, I would dare to try you again when I’m in town next.... If you promise to do a much better job?

Had the Red Thai Curry and Ginger Calamari, rice etc... The takeaway service was excellent and food was very tasty however can't give it a 5 as the serving size is quiet small lacking meat in the curry and needed more veggies in the stir fry.

Food was delicious, staff was really sweet and personable. Quaint spot if dining in, but still very nice. A lot of vegetarian options to choose from. Vegetable spring rolls were amazing!

Very simple, small restaurant but superb food. In a group of ~8ppl and every dish was outstanding. Duck and fish curries exceptional. Food would outshine Thai restaurants in the big smoke. Very friendly too. If I only have one night back in Yarrawonga I’ll be coming here even though not licensed.

Now I've been to Thailand and I love thai Food.. The chicken cashew here is the best, as good as the one they serve on the boat going to the James bond Island in Thailand, same flavour, not too thick and sugury just mint, plenty of chicken, sauce, cashews and flavour. I usually just order it with a plain rice, give it a go. It's my go too for chicken cashew :)

Yummy food, restaurant is a little small and was quite warm inside. Spring rolls were on point and not too expensive.

I love my Thai food and this was some of the best I’ve ever had! The satay sauce instantly reminded me of being overseas, and the two mains we had were both so delish we didn’t leave any for leftovers.

We got a large takeaway order for approx 15 people with a variety of dishes. I ate the fish cakes, green chicken curry, ginger beef, yellow chicken curry, pad thai chicken & rice. All the food was delicious & everyone in our group enjoyed what they ordered. Will definitely order & eat again next time we're in Yarrawonga.

I ordered takeaway, the lamb rogan Josh (mild), and a chilli chicken (medium) and garlic naan bread. It arrived within the specified time and was packed with plastic rap, no leaks. From the first mouthful was a delight well cooked and very tasty. The lamb was in big size chucks, tho I wish could have been a few more, but I thoroughly enjoyed the meal.🙂

As indecisive diners, the staff provided wonderful advice and suggestions to ensure our experience was fantastic. The meal was presented beautifully, fresh, delicious and filling. Can’t wait to dine in again. An experience that we hope to enjoy again! Thank you!

The Butter Chicken is the best we have ever had, sweet and tangy and chicken pieces were great quality too. All the food was so tasty and best of all - first Indian restaurant ive found ever to note GF “gluten free” items and so many of them! great place for a coeliac! highly recommend a visit! Only minor downfall was that i think you had to order via the QR code rather than them take your order personally and very small dishes for the price though

Had a fabulous and tasty meal at Lakeside Indian Restaurant, meal sizes are generous, service was excellent and the atmosphere was exactly what you'd expect at an Indian restaurant, vibrant and alive. I will enjoy going again to try some new dishes.

Always a great experience here. Have been here 10+ times since moving to this new location. Very reasonably priced for fantastic food & Jag and the staff are wonderfully attentive.

I came here for a group dinner and absolutely loved my experience. The food was amazing and the dishes were incredible and came quickly. Our servers were very nice and welcoming and made me feel comfortable helping me find the dishes to order. I enjoyed my experience a lot and will definitely come again. I would recommend coming here for anyone looking for a perfect Indian restaurant in Yarrawonga. Thank you for this experience and if you haven’t been here, I would definitely recommend. 👍

Excellent authentic Indian food. We recommend ordering mild-medium spice for those who like to taste the flavour but can’t handle too much heat!! Great staff and reasonable prices. Bonus was that they were open on Christmas Day and Boxing Day so we ate there both nights!

Subpar curries. Entrée samosas were ok, curries (butter chicken and lamb madras) were so watery - 90% of the lamb madras watery sauce was left after the meat was taken. Butter chicken was a nice flavour but watery and not enough meat to match the sauce level. Based on the reviews, we really expected more, but not great for the cost. They called to confirm order and called at delivery - so service was good, food quality lets this place down.

We have eaten at many Indian restaurants including overseas and well known restaurants and this experience at lakeside Indian restaurant did not disappoint. You can tell that there is a lot of love that goes into this business and cuisine. Each course was just as good as the first, the food had so much flavour, the flavours were phenomenal, light and not at all heavy or greasy, meat dishes tender and delicious, plenty of variety, beef, chicken, lamb, seafood and there is enough good vegetarian options, each dish was literally 'melt in the mouth.’ Portion sizes were perfect, the smaller portions allow you to try more dishes from the impressively varied menu. Delivery of food timely, the food is brought out as it’s cooked (we ate in the restaurant) we felt so welcomed and relaxed. When something is done right you have that aha moment, the food definitely was authentic and very filling. I would highly recommend Lakeside Indian Restaurant, just perfect.

I am a local of Yarra and have been eating here ever since they opened in 2018. Even after moving to Melbourne in 2019, I still haven’t found an Indian restaurant whose food is as good as it is here. Just to top it off, the service is absolutely amazing. I couldn’t speak higher of this restaurant!!
