A family winery with excellent wines. We took a tour and tasting, and the explanations were fantastic. They connected us to the family story through the wines. The vineyard is stunning, and the atmosphere is very enjoyable.

One of the best wine tours I've experienced! Thanks Deni! We walked up at 1 o'clock without reservations and were able to join the tour (tours are at 11, 1, and 3). We learned about Bladen's story, the process of growing grapes, and some interesting tidbits about the local wine industry. It was a very informative and personalized tour that is well worth the ~15 dollars. Of course, wines were very good and scenery was beautiful too.

Blair and Deni were extremely kind and welcoming and very passionate about their fantastic wines! Eight rows Riesling was great!

Most amazing Winery with a beautiful family history. Not really a white wine person. On the recommendation on another 2 couple's who visited Bladen's it was a must do. Just to say yeah we've been there too. Have to admit the place stands on it's own Merritt's. All their wines were amazing, some brought back memories from my culture and distinctive tastes. Spent the afternoon doing a wine tasting $10. This is not a place to miss if you enjoy white wines can't even get a glass of wine at that price or any other wine tasting which are $10 plus. A very pleasant wine history of their Vinyard and tasting. I relaxed with a wine "The Sum of Us" great cheese boards and a game of patenque. Great way to spend the afternoon

Honestly we went there for the cheese platter and they did not dissapoint! We loved the area, loved wines, loved the cheese and loved the dog! 100% recommend!

We visited this lovely family-run winery while touring Renwick cellar doors on bicycle. They have set times for wine tastings, so check times in advance. Deni provided a great back-story about the history of the winery and led us through the wine tasting. She was charming and engaging. Definitely one of our favorite stops.

We visited Bladen as part of our self guided bike tour with Wine Tours by Bike. A family run vineyard it’s clear they are passionate about their product. An early adopter in the Marlborough region, Bladen certainly know a thing or two about wine! Deni took us on a guided tasting tour of the vineyard, her knowledge was extensive & she has a gift of storytelling. We felt like we’d learnt a lot but also in a way that was fun and fuelled with delicious wine. Her family story and ethos was inspiring and we really enjoyed our tour. Recommend whole heartedly. Great family run winery and amazing cheese platters here. They have set times for tasting so make sure you check before you go. They also have 3 beautiful dogs, and if you ask to see them they might even bring the dogs around.

If you are looking for a great spot to taste some wines, then search no further. This is a family owned place where you can taste five wines for only $10. We were welcomed by Blair and afterwards we joined the wine tasting which was presented by Deni. Both made us feel really comfortable and we enjoyed it very much!

We had the most amazing experience here at Bladen. Be sure to add this to your visit list. Such a beautiful setting in the vineyards to enjoy whilst sampling some of the best wine we’ve ever tasted. We really loved every wine we sampled. Deni was a great host and talked us through the wines and made us feel comfortable whilst enjoying the wine, the view and the sunshine. We loved our wine tasing at Bladen Wines. The winery is named after Blair and Deni, the children of the founders, and Deni gave us an engaging and informative one-hour wine tasting experience, sharing its history and present story. And of course we had the wines as well, which were among the best we tasted in the Marlborough area.

Absolutely loved Bladen wines. Blair and Deni are a wonderful brother/sister team with awesome wine knowledge and bring a fun, friendly welcome. All credit to an amazing Mum and Dad and their very positive whim! Delicious wine and platters to be had in a shaded, relaxed setting. Loved going out into the vineyard a amongst the Vines and learning a bit more about the work involved with the grapevines.

This was the most amazing wine tour ive ever had, such passion from a family run business that has been passed down to their children. So much care and take all the time to explain how everything is done. This is a must see in Malborough wine region.

Our favorite winery of the day! Do not miss their tasting, it was so worth it. We loved the Riesling and the blend “the sum of us” the best. Really liked the format of having set times throughout the day and going in the vineyard. This was a real gem and amazing wines.

By far our favourite experience of the Marlborough wine region! Lovely to go to a small family run winery. Blair’s passion and knowledge was a joy to listen to. Make sure you get there for the tasting times to get the full overview of their wines! Our favourites were the Riesling and the Sauv Blanc. Bread with garlic cream cheese was also tasty!

Visited Nautilus Estate this week and I had an amazing experience! The girls that served us were very knowledgeable and friendly. The wines were beautiful and I would definitely recommend giving Nautilus a visit!

Great experience, tasting of top class wines in lovely setting. Staff very friendly. They went out of their way to spend time with us and share their expertise even though they were extremely busy. Impressive!

As part of a winery tour we started our trip at Nautilus. After having finished the tour I must say that the quality at Nautilus -for us- turned out to be the poorest in comparison to the other wineries. Although the tasting was very well presented and the cheese platter is very delicious.

We had a fabulous wine tasting experience at Nautilus. Our best in New Zealand so far. Shelley was absolutely brilliant and really knowledgeable about all the wines. Well worth a visit. Interesting that Nautilus are owned by the fabulous Yalumba group in Australia ❤️ who also make the most amazing wines. Will definitely be purchasing some wine from Nautilus. Don't miss this vineyard.

Stopped by while spending a day in Marlborough. Did a quick wine tasting and was very impressed. The wines were all phenomenal and reasonably priced and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Smaller wine tasting menu and tasting not refunded on a purchase but still worth it.

We had a disappointing tasting experience here compared to other wineries we visited. The staff serving were disinterested, offered no explanation about any of the wines served rather just plonked them on our table and had to constantly check which tasting we were doing. We had planned to get a cheese platter but decided to move on given the service. You would have a far more enjoyable tasting experience at a number of the other wineries.

Not very busy early on a rainy Saturday. The wines were good. The Albariño was different for the region and worth a try. The staff was pleasant and knowledgeable.

We were specifically looking for a small, family vineyard and Nautilus came highly recommended. We were not disappointed. Welcoming hostess, tasty wine and a yummy cheese platter, a in front of a roaring fire. And reasonably priced. Would highly recommend!

not expensive. picked wines from a list. location on the main road...ok but not great. Service was poor...host was all over the place, slow, forgetful...and it wasn't busy. There are better places to go.

Its a passable on this occasion. Compared to the other wineries in the area its well and truly at the bottom of the list. No intermate connection with the tasting and not overly impressed with the lack of volume of wine you get for what you pay.

Awesome experience. Enjoyed two wine tastings on some bean bags with incredible service from Sarah. Really can't beat this place on a good day.

Very friendly and knowledgeable hostess who made our experience top tier. We got the $15 and $25 tasting and thoroughly enjoyed the comparison, we were also given a couple of additional wines to really compare and get the full experience of the wines. A healthy serving is much appreciated. Would greatly recommend coming here for a tasting.

Disappointing. Sparkling was nice but the other wines were fairly underwhelming. Main issue was the expensive tasting which only gave a minuscule volume of wine. Barely a mouthful. Would have been much cheaper to just buy a glass of the wines between our group to share and would have had more.

Our third wine tasting in NZ. By far the best one. Each wine had a distinctive character although balanced. Personal, family owned, and fun with an excellent explanation! Book your tasting in advance and make sure to buy some bottles for your family for the holidays ❤️❤️

Our lovely host (and winemaker) Anna was amazing and happy to chat about their extensive and delicious range (definitely the pinots for me). Luckily for us, the ship to to the West Island via the “wine collective direct”. Well worth the visit (outside harvest time) but make sure to look up their 3 session times per day.

We were here on Wednesday 2nd Nov for a wine tasting. What a fabulous experience at one of the smaller wineries. We were met by the lovely Lucy who made a perfect presentation of each of the 5 wines we tasted. This was the only cellar we visited where we enjoyed every wine we tasted. Highly recommended to venture slightly of the beaten track to come and experience their wines. Will certainly look out for them in the UK. Denese and Neil

Husband and wife endeavor yielding some of our most memorable wines of Marlborough. Heart and soul, certainly, but the harmony of viticulture and enology falls into international elite quality...from my perspective as a California winemaker.

We were lucky enough to have a wine tasting with Anna, the winemaker. She was enthusiastic, friendly and so knowledgeable and of course the wines are sublime. We loved all of the wines, but especially the outstanding Pinots and the Alsace influenced Toru. Luckily the wines are conveniently available online to be delivered to Perth. A highlight of our trip to Marlborough.

Every wine here is done with lots of love. You need to book in advance here, as there are a very few places for tasting, which is free. They do a very good rosé (i didn’t liked the one they did in the region, other than this one) and very good dry Riesling ! Pinot was for us the best of the best.

So extremely blessed to be able to score a tasting session even though they were closed for harvest season (right time and day to be honest). Anna was so accommodating and so detailed in her explanation about the wines they produce. It’s a lovely family winery and we love this personal experience. Can’t help but to walk away with more bottles than our luggages could hold (we’ll deal with that later).

Wonderful tasting experience with Lucy. We learned so much about not just the wines but the history of the region. Lucy was knowledgeable, warm, welcoming and fun. Bonus was Max, the vineyard dog made an entrance and said hi to everyone. If you are looking for great wines and cozy vibes, this is the place for you!

High quality wines and great people. This was our first time to Marlborough and we visited plenty of wineries. TWR was the only one we went back to for a second visit due to the quality of what we tasted. These guys don’t shout from the rooftops like some others but they should, the wine is very high quality and something I would recommend to anyone. The reaction in our group to the the Pinot Noir was simply “that’s yum”. High praise indeed!

We had a very interesting and lovely wine tasting today at TWR. We learned a lot about the history of the vineyard and the region as well and wines are really delicious. Definitely worth the visit. Reservation for a tasting in advance is really recommended

Lovely tasting experience at Whitehaven with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great wines - we particularly enjoyed the Pinot Gris and even made a detour on our way back through the area a week later to pick up some bottles to take home. Would recommend.

Stopped in on a Saturday morning and they got us seated and tasting right away (without an advance booking). The back yard area offers some lovely views, and our host Lanie offered us so much information about the wines, the area, and made the whole experience so enjoyable. Thanks, Lanie!

Very friendly staff made us feel very welcome. Their information about the history of the winery and the wines made it a great experience. Very nice winery, I really enjoy the premium taste menu. The place is nice, but not amazing. The staff is very police, nice and skilled. My favorite is sweet desert wine Nobel Riesling and slightly spicy Pignot Noir. I have to give 4* because the cloudy Bay is one level better.

Great experience tasting at Whitehaven. Surroundings were beautiful. Kaz was friendly, knowledgeable and even sneaked us an extra wine to taste - thinking (correctly) that some of our pre- conceived tastes should be challenged. All the wines that we tasted were excellent, including ones we wouldn't usually have picked. I would definitely buy Whitehaven wines and can highly recommend a visit.

Some of the best wine we tasted within the region. The lady was very friendly and explained things simply, did not over complicate the tastes and gave us plenty of time to enjoy the atmosphere and each others company. Loved this winery. We did the tasting and enjoyed the wines very much. My husband and I were able to walk in around noon and get a table outside. We also had some black garlic salami and havarti cheese. It was all delicious, friendly service and really great atmosphere sitting by the pond.

On a cruise to New Zealand with three friends, our enthusiasm led us to Whitehaven Wines, compelling us to rent a car for a winery tour. Upon entering to sample wines and appreciate the ambiance, we were met with Lanie, who was extremely helpful and friendly. Lanie took us through a range of their wines, was extremely knowledgeable. Thank you for providing us such a great experience.

We had the classic tasting and from my perspective it was just ok. The wines were average, location was quite okay but there are others around that offer nicer gardens to sit in. Staff was really friendly. My suggestion is to just serve all four wines that you are going to taste on one platter and give a short introduction about the wines once it is served.

A beautiful afternoon spent here. Everything was great. Very friendly and informative staff for the wine tasting, relaxing atmosphere by the pond and delicious wine. Would also very highly recommend trying the whiskey and cheese tasting at Cheese and Cheers! Finally some delicious cheese in New Zealand. Very enthusiastic and friendly staff, cozy atmosphere.

Very nice little winery with some delightful options. Definitely we’ll worth a stop if you’re traveling the Golden Mile and looking for something a little less commercial with more character.

Lovely range of biodynamic wines with some surprises on the menu (no spoilers). Very knowledgeable staff but also a bit tight on space (especially with a few tour shuttles - maybe invest in a few more tables?). You also need a physical credit card for tastings - can’t use payWave via phone which was nearly a disaster (guess I’d be washing dishes). Also meant we could not buy any wine and disappointingly they do not use the wine collective direct so hard for those of us from the West Island.

Katie was fantastic and easy to chat to. Really friendly and knowledgeable about wines. Could have stayed there all day. And the wines!! The Chardonnay has converted an avid Sav drinker! Will definitely be coming back

Having looked forward to actually getting to Huai vineyard for so long,it lived up to our expectations big time !! Billy took such wonderful care of us,and made sure we had a personal and memorable wine tasting,we also got to have a quick peek behind the scenes with the new owner Tom,who was a gentleman and explained the process of wine making with such enthusiasm,it was a delight Thank you Tom, they also have cheeses and cold meats to choose from if you fancy a few nibbles and some amazing sparkling wines,probably the best wine tasting we have been at not only in NZ but in France and Italy,we wish Tom,Billy and all the team at Huai continued success

Fantastic experience here on a biking wine tour. Wines were amazing, and Eliza was the most wonderful host, even accommodating 8 people with no booking. Her knowledge of the wines and pleasant demeanor made the experience all that more special. Will return again next time I visit NZ!

We visited 3 wineries in the area. This one was without a doubt the best! The wines were amazing, the cheese platter was delicous (all crackers and cheeses were seemed to be home made), fascinating explanations about each wine served to the table. Highly recommend!

Very down to earth feeling at Huia. Wines are top shelf quality with friendly and well knowledgeable staff. Prices are not to bad compared to the rest in the area. This farm in 100% organic.
