Fantastic gorge 3 segments at bottom.of stairs turn right to the waterfall a small pool underneath a waterfall mostly a trickle but still spectacular. Return to the stairs for the middle pool continue straight through a squeeze point and scramble down a slope into last pool and main gorge 200m swim to the end is worth it...

Joffre Gorge surprised me—despite people saying it was cold, it wasn't unbearable. The trail features steep ladders but is overall manageable. The cold factor might be subjective, but for me, it added to the adventure. The steepness and ladders provided a bit of a challenge, but nothing too daunting. Recommended for those seeking a moderate hike with a touch of thrill in Karijini National Park.
Amy Elizabeth — Google review
Great spot, walk not too hard and stair help. Wonderful swimming trail just over the low pool
Emma Routledge — Google review
Arrived late, 4hpm so the lights in the Gorge are almost gone...we could see how beautiful it is from the lookout! See it in morning at this time of the year so sun is shining into the cave and water!
Veronique Pinar — Google review
Probably my favourite gorge in Karijini. Easily accessible via a short walk from the Eco Lodge, and down a few ladders. A very peaceful place to spend a sunny afternoon. Some great photography opportunities too.
vanessa claire (vanessaclairephotography) — Google review
Incredible views, wish we couldve done the gorge walk but with all those steps, it was too hard with the kids
The Cookie Van Australia (TheCookieVanAustralia) — Google review
This a beautiful place, it would have been lovely if there was a bit of water going over it. Would recommend coming to see it.
Cherie Colbert — Google review
Beautiful place. Take care. Any rocky surface with black algae is super slippery. Leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but photos. Enjoy
Robert M — Google review
Easy hike down, took way less time than the map suggested. Once in the gorge there is a bit of rock climbing but it’s not difficult if you’re able bodied. Just go slow and you’ll be okay. Walk up to the amphitheatre like pool and walk back down the gorge to find a narrow swimming stream that winds down the rocky gorge.
Emily — Google review
Down to the canyon don't need a long time, but very worth seeing. You can swimming here! Climbing rock is also very interesting.😊
Su — Google review
A nice gorge with swimable water (April) 5 minutes walk from Karijini eco resort camp grounds. Steep but still achievable for young and old with steel ladder platforms for the steepest bits. A great place to start when you first get here.
Travis Hurst — Google review
What an awesome walk. It is very quick but has a few steep stairs and tricky places. When you get to the bottom where the main falls/pool is you can either wade through water to get to it or scale the rocks, up-to you! The falls weren’t flowing but it still looked stunning. I would recommend when you get down the main metal stairs to go to the left also and see the gorge there, we even saw people stand up paddle boarding in the water there! “ Jonique Life” Follow our journey around Australia on Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and YouTube as we highlight wonderful experiences and magical places you can add to your ever growing bucket list.

Tourist information center
A wonderful centre with a wealth of information and local history. Our kids loved the junior rangers tour and activity book, learning about the traditional owners and caring for country.

Some nice things in the gift store and some museum artefacts to look at. pretty good but I hoped it would be a bit more interesting.
Andrew McAuliffe — Google review
Lovely staff, promoted their jnr rangers and park initiatives
Cassie Guy — Google review
The centre has a fantastic staff member, Kaylene, who took my kids through the centre and inducted them as junior rangers. Kaylene shared a wealth of knowledge about the national park and the local Aboriginal heritage. Her parting words for the kids were to emphasise respect, honour, love, gratitude, and always remember to get your feet dirty. Fantastic experience.

Staff are very helpful and are full of knowledge. The displays at the centre could do with a change and updating!

This place gives you alot of information about the gorges, the story behind them, the local people there, they even have video to tell everything that you want to know about Karijini. I enjoy the souvenirs shop also inside it.
Sherel — Google review
Great information centre. Thanks to the lady that served us at counter. Absolutely amazing. Lovin my new foot wear
Lynette Talty — Google review
Important note: there is phone service with Optus near the visitor centre, nothing with Telstra The visitor centre is opened 9 am - 4 pm and offers flushing toilets + shower. Only one shower per side, it costs $4 + $20 deposit for the key. Shower is clean and warm 👍 There's also a small exhibition inside the main visitor centre that is worth seeing.

Well worth a visit. Architecturally stunning. Staff are great. Reasonably informative. However lighting is poor difficult to read the information. However overall very good. No coffee facilities unfortunately.

Hamersley Gorge, situated in Karijini's northwest corner, is a scenic attraction that features striking layered rock formations lining a steep gorge with waterfalls and pools. It is a popular spot for swimming and offers an idyllic stopover for those heading north towards the coast or Millstream. Accessible via Bingarn Rd, this unsealed route spans 67km from Tom Price and requires turning right at the T-junction and carrying on for another 41km.
What an amazing experience! Simply stunning. Got the Spa Pool to myself, had a swim and took some pictures with my phone. Will be going back soon and expolring the area a little more.
Stephen Yates — Google review
I loved this Gorge. It's has amazing colours, rock formations and plenty of photo ops. Walk down the stairs to the main pool, go right to go up the rock to the spa pool and left to swim down the Gorge. The walk to the main pool is easy and noice swimming, the rock scrambling to the spar poll is difficult unless you swim and it's a tad cold. Either way the spa pool is worth it.
Gavin — Google review
This place is definitely worth the walk down (and back up) for a swim and a look. Spectacular rock walls and the waterfall and swimming holes are beautiful.
Stuart Jones — Google review
Amazing relaxing destination that shouldn't be missed. A few steep steps and some tricky trails to get to the water but worth every bit for a cool dip on a hot day (and it'll be hot!) Worth taking a test bag for your camera if you want the best pics, as well as a few picnic snacks and plenty of water if you want to spend a few hours down there, exploring the wonders of this gorge, one of the best in the Pilbara. Toilets and a fair bit of parking, but it can get busy during peak tourist season, so going early or late can pay off
Mick Davis (Mickaroo) — Google review
So bloody beautiful went for swim and was so great freezing cold but totally worth it loved every moment! Scenery and the serenity of this place was so great! easy enough walk down and in so was perfect we took our 2yr old with us and he was fine had a great time highly recommend this place!
Meads_Adventures — Google review
Really nice gorge, not much water flowing at the time of our visit, but really liked the rock and cliff formations which makes every gorge unique in their own right.

Hamersley Gorge, Karijini National Park– Nature's masterpiece! Jaw-dropping beauty, crimson cliffs, and refreshing pools create an oasis in the outback. A must-visit for awe-inspiring landscapes. Immerse yourself in the unique charm of Hamersley Gorge for an unforgettable adventure.

Post card scenery good for a swim rocks are pritty slippery so be careful. Good climb down and up gorge

Ah-May-Zing! Such a beautiful spot, east walk in, drive was good but we are used to bumpy unsealed roads. There is a fair bit of sealed road to the area. Easy walk down to the main area, further area and little pools/falls to find if you endeavour up the rocks further south. The rock formations are just amazing, so huge yet they have been bent in all sorts by time. Overall a beautiful gorge and falls, was too cold to swim in but we spent an hour or more taking in the vibe of the place. Beautiful.
Brad Cooper — Google review
Loved this beautiful gorge. Stunning rock formations and crystal clear cold water. Easy hike down. Amazing spot, highly recommend!!
Bylynda Evans — Google review
Probably enjoyed Hamesley Gorge as much as any in Karijini. The road in was mostly good other than a bit of corrugation. The spa was brilliant and the longer swim was beautiful too
Berns Moloney — Google review
Absolutely stunning. A perfect place to enjoy the refreshing waters on a warm summer's day. Spa Pool is a bit of a clamber and paddle away but definitely worth while!
Jordan Paries — Google review
Absolutely amazing and worth the challenge to be able swim in the spa. Nature's beauty at it's best! Highly recommend sneakers or good walking shoes so you can grip the rocks when making it over to the gorges and spa. It's very slippery near the waters edge so be careful when entering the water and after swimming. Also let tyre psi down for driving on corrugated roads when entering the park.
Sami Joi — Google review
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. but really recommend proper walking shoes/sneakers to get down and back up the rocks. The rocks are very jaggered and sharp and slippery when wet. Breath taking swim down the gorge- if you have a camera that likes water definitely take it with you on the swim.
Nerida Elsley-Auld — Google review
Great place. If you haven't been there, add it to your bucket list. The stairs were a bit tough but manageable, and the reward was well worth it... 👌
Brendo (B) — Google review
Car parking was somewhat tight with people parking on the sides of the road. The gorge itself is magnificent and the rock formations totally worth seeing. The swim was excellent and also a must do. Access to the top pool was too slippery for us to attempt and this proved to be the case for two people that slipped on the shiny steep rocks.
Deon Quinn — Google review
Try to come early. Noon time are a bit hard to get parking. If you are coming from Tom price then the road are still acceptable but if you are coming from Karijini visitor centre/ Newman be mentally prepared the road are quite rough

Red-rock canyon with trekking & scrambling through narrow passages, plus a natural swimming pool.
13kms of corrugated dirt road to get there, but once you have this Gorge is definitely worth the walk. If you don't want to get wet you will have to climb the edges in places but over all fairly straight forward. Definitely go to handrail pool, and if you don't mind the getting wet and cold, Swim from there to the end. Amazing reflection picture opportunities as well 👍👌

Awesome trek through Weano Gorge. Climbing down into the gorge from the carpark is like entering an another world. We thoroughly enjoyed meandering along, rock hopping and looking for turtles in the pools. The path was easy to negotiate and the scenery was amazing. We continued onto the Handrail Pool section. We had no trouble making it all the way to the pool (we didn't even get our shoes wet). This might be very different in wetter months. The kids loved the narrow section just before the pool. You can touch both sides of the gorge. The pool had heaps of water for a refreshing dip! The gorge is a must do and Handrail Pool is worth having a go.
Chris Martignago — Google review
Bad gravel road leading over 15kms over terrain with sharp stones cutting pinches into your tyres or oil pan! - DO NOT GO there unless you have a 4WD or you want to ruin your car! - And don’t trust Parks and Wildlife as they might tell you otherwise! - Just not worth it! - Dales area in the eastern end of Karijini is much more beautiful anyway!
J?rg Egger — Google review
Unfortunately, the gorge is currently closed (April 2024). Check at the visitor centre before going there. There are other beautiful gorges nearby that are open.
Lilian Hausmann — Google review
Spectacular. Don’t be put off by the Grade 5 rating in some parts if you are okay to walk and mobile. Grab yourself a stick for walking, wear some shoes you don’t mind getting wet and take your time. The colours along with the landscape is just amazing. The walk down into the gorge is pretty easy. Take water and a hat. Try doing the walk down before 10am and also head to the Handrail Pool from here. The walk up is. Little more work but take your time and you will be fine. I highly recommend spending some money a fly net for your hat for the trip - in a major city this will cost you $7-$8 in the smaller towns $12 but still worth it.

Weano Gorge, it's in Karijini so definitely 5 stars, smaller than the other gorges, but has hand rail pool at the end (currently closed due to incident)

To reach this one, you need to little bit walking or swimming in the shallow water. Prepare wearing this special shoes for the water. Wonderfully gorge.
Sherel — Google review
Amazing gorge! It is not free of danger, but you can explore a lot around the area. Sometimes you have to walk through water to get further.
Marcel — Google review
Absolutely fantastic. Adventurous walk into the gorge. Be aware that you will get wet. Loved it so much. Definitely recommended. One of my favorite walk in Aussie.

Gorgeous place to visit! Needs a full day trip to fully explore it all, also needs 4x4 to get to site

One of the most adventurous Gorge's we did in Karijini. 3 of us got from the car park to the end (chain roped pool area) in 30 minutes, including time to enjoy and take pictures along the way (we left at 4.30pm, so were against the clock on sunlight), 30min back too, realising we had more daylight to enjoy. You do not have to spider walk but sure is fun! Water was shallow enough to walk through at most points, short swims in some areas.

Absolutely spectacular!!! Ladder climb down, slippery rock walk, swim through icy water, 32degree hot day. Amazing rock formations, stunning scenery. Could not recommend it more!!!!!
Bylynda Evans — Google review
I really enjoyed Hancock Gorge. Quite a steep decent and be prepared to get very wet to get to Kermit's Pool at the end. Even though it's Class 5 most people with reasonable fitness should be able to make it if they don't mind wading and swimming in cold water.
Andrew McAuliffe — Google review
Dirt road with many small stones. This road is for 4WD!!! I drive general car very shake… The rock is amazing, the ultimate road needs to use your hands and feet, it is a bit difficult but funny.

This is my favorite gorge of all, the hike is getting you in the water so sont take valuable things. Go to the very end to walk through the gorge itself and ending up at a little pool. Follow my adventure on IG : Thewanderlu
