Anjaneyar Temple The huge idol of Lord Hanuman, carved out of a single granite stone, without any breakpoint or streamline, is the main attraction of the Nanganallur Anjaneyar temple. The imposing idol stands 322 feet tall. It is black in hue and towers over the other shrines in the temple complex. In height, It ranks only second to the idol of Hanuman at Panchavati (near Puducherry) in terms of height. The temple tower of the deity is also very high, almost 90 feet. The sanctum sanctorum is connected to the other shrines in the complex via corridors. There is a shrine for Sri Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita. Rama is always connected with Hanuman, and his presence is a given in any temple for Hanuman. Rama is depicted as the ruler and protector here; in the form, that Hanuman worships and respects. Rama carries a bow and is called Kothanda Rama. To acknowledge the fact that Hanuman was present in the Mahabharata as well, a shrine for Lord Krishna was also built. Krishna’s two consorts, Rukmini and Satyabhama, can also be seen alongside him. To save Arjuna's chariot from harm, during the Kurukshetra war, Hanuman graced the chariot’s flag, according to the Mahabharata. There are two smaller shrines in the north-east part of the temple. One is for Lord Ganesha, and to its left, on another platform, is one for Naga or the snake god. Saint Raghavendra is also present, facing Krishna’s shrine. There is a large hall or mandapam for devotees to stand and pray to the deity. It can accommodate a lot of people.

Visited on a Hanuman Jeynthi day. It’s crowded but the temple organizer properly organized the crowd. It’s a smooth Dharsan other big temples should learn from them. The pradasatham was delicious. There is no parking nearby and have to find streets. Overall it’s a Devine experience.

The Anjaneya Temple at Nanganallur, Chennai is a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Hanuman. The main shrine houses Anjaneya inside a Temple Tower 90 feet tall. Anjaneya is facing west, and thus the main entrance is on the west. There is an auxiliary entrance on the southern side used during temple festivals. The main temple building has path-ways all around the sanctum sanctorum and also a large covered space (Mandapam) for devotees to assemble in front of the deity for offering worship. History :- The idol was installed in 1989 and consecrated in 1995. Sri Maruthi Bhaktha Samajam Trust, consisting of people with high spiritual beliefs, wished for this temple. Sri Chandrashekarendra Saraswati mahaswamiji of Kanchi Mutt entrenched the 32-foot idol of Anjaneyar in 1989 and consummated the Kumbabishekam in 1995. The distinguished factor of the 32-feet idol is that it was molded out of a single rock. There are around 200 stairs towards the entrance to this temple so if you going in afternoon ,, pls take your water bottle with you.. Best time to go in early morning to enjoy the scenic view from top or at evening between 5-7 pm to enjoy the sunset and night beauty from top Timings :- 6 am to 7 pm

This temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The deity is about 35 feet height. The deity can be seen from the road itself because of it's height. There will be huge crowd on Saturdays, Sundays and all auspicious days. People believe that if a person visits regularly for nine continuous days and Saturdays, he or she will achieve.

Modelled out of single rock, this Hanuman stands enormous in his abode. The deity could be seen without even entering inside because of his majestic height of 32 feet. This temple is serene and gives a lot of positivity. Must visit place in Chennai for those meticulously in need of peace in life.

I was surprised to see such a huge Anjaneyaswamy idol inside it. The temple is so divine, very neatly maintained, organized , and disciplined. All the priests and staff are seniors who are very dedicated to their work. I also purchased a photo of the idol within the temple sold by management bcoz I couldn't get the swamy from my mind. I would say it is a must visit, I'm lucky enough to visit when I went to a nearby temple.

This temple located near to the residential area. Sacred and most religious place at nanganallur. You can reach here either from pazhavanthangal railway Station through electric train and get down from here or you can come on own. Recently there was kumbabishekam held at this temple in year 2022. Temple is well maintained and clean. Opposite to this temple you can see marriage hall named "Rama mandiram" and there is raghavendra temple where devotees visit this place. The Shree Sai Baba Temple, situated in the heavily populated Mylapore area, is a revered religious destination for followers of both Hinduism and Islam. The temple honors the spiritual master and saint, Sai Baba of Shirdi. Special prayers and bhajans are held every Thursday and Saturday that draw large crowds. One of the most peaceful place, always chanting Geeta in front of baba, Om sai Ram.

You can get baba blessings...most lovable place...But staff behaviours are money oriented if you give money they treat you well otherwise no one care about you. Creat unwanted crowd.. They give preference to local well known people not for every....even pongal Or other items mostly give to local people..
Gopinath Mahendran — Google review
It's such a gracious place - full of devotees all the time to offer prayers to Sai baba. Don't get overwhelmed if you see a few people even crying out of their love for baba, or touching or kissing the holy feet of baba. They have a separate room in case someone wants to just sit and chant sai bhajan etc. They offer free food (tasty veg khichdi, curd rice, pongal etc) to everyone at its top floor. Overall a graceful place. Some part of the temple is still under renovation.

We had good time play in the artificially created snow and winter world. Kids would live it and if the adults are ready to have funny like a kid then it is a wonderful family time in the snow!! They provide the warm clothing, gum boots and mittens to protect us from the minus temperature. The staff were cordial and decent to address us. The patiently answered our quires. Ample parking space. Lovely experience all the while.

A great place to visit with kids and family... A very vast place filled with snow and kids can have a blast. The place is well maintained and shoes, socks, jackets and gloves are provided. Total duration allowed per session is 45 minutes. The place also has refreshments inside and clean restrooms. Experience - The temperature maintained inside is -7 degree Celcius. You can find the difference immediately as you enter the arena. The snow is slightly dirty on the day I entered... Don't attempt to taste it. Few activities like snow sliding, rock climbing are absolute fun. Overall a fun filled 45 mins worth the price.

Snow kingdom at the ECR is simply amazing for kids and adults to play around. It has many other games as well, they have maintained a good ambiance and provide the warm clothes before stepping in to the snow area. Right from the inner socks, Jackets, boots and gloves they provide in all sizes. The crew members are very friendly and helpful. But you have to be cautious if you are not used to cold, though you can take break by coming out of the are for a while. They do have eateries as well, you can grab a quick bite or have ice cream or can try Samosa. Really a good 45 mins to enjoy the feel of Jammu and Kashmir weather and snow conditions. Must visit place for kids.

Extremely dirty and wet jackets and gloves. Had to wait 1 hour before entering. 5D movie was worst experience and glasses were all faded. The snow is just loose salt I guess. Bad experience and waste of money. Poorly maintained.

Water rides are enjoyable, and lifeguards are on duty to provide safety. Food is very expensive. Except for a handful who actually felt humiliated by the quality of the service and facilities, the staff members were all quite nasty. They act inappropriately around women. When the staff member abruptly asked to seat us next to someone else in the dash car journey, it was completely unfair. Even they do not abide by the laws. We observed that they permitted a 3-month-old child on the ride, which is quite dangerous for kids. Some riders were instructed to exit the vehicle and rejoin the queue while others were permitted to continue riding. Time and money wasted.

I actually liked this place, 1 hr activity in snow, feels good, taking photographs was difficult, safe guarding my ear was very important. The metal slides had sharp edges, some safety precautions need to be present. Parking is easy. The other activities apart from snow Kingdom is also worth its cost. Crowd management was fine.

I had a lot of fun at this place. Great place to go to as a group. They have an art museum, a created snow park , a 12 D cine magic and a few snack places. This place is always crowded because of its magic. There was a headless dude which was a fun thing to watch. He danced with us too. I had gone here 4 years ago and this place had gone trmendow improvements . There is a really good parking facility just outside the place. Some people might be a little allergic to the dry ice so be little careful. About the place : 1. Each time slot is 45 minutes. We had gone as a group of 40 and we got the 1: 15pm slot. 2. Prices start from 590 per adult ( with selective discounts if going from institutions) 3. You are provided with Jacket, socks, shoes and gloves. There are no pants. If you are sensitive to Cold then please wear pants to avoid certain adverse events😂 4.There is a warm room provided inside for people sensitive to cold. 5. Last few minutes of each time slot is run by the DJ where you have a live prop and a dance floor to display your talents and Dance. 6. An art gallery where you are allowed to click pictures. ( entry fee : 100 rs- again negotiable as a group) 6. Lot of places where you get both hot tea and cold ice creams. I would go again to this place again as a group. A couple going here can be quite boring as I had observed. Unless you want to keep massaging your girls leg and fingers in public.🤣

Snow kingdom was extreme chill. A big slide for adult was highlight of it. Kids have separate small sliding and trampoline.. but the boots for kids is too small in length which allows the ice to reach feet and makes them wet and numb. For adults it was good. However cant withstand with those gears for 1 hour in snow. 2d show was simply ok and forest safari was scary and enjoyable. A decent canteen was there where you can get snacks and coffee. Can expect more rush during holidays and weekends. Kids will enjoy more..

Their place is absolutely magical, that too in a hot and humid city like Chennai. They have a waiting chamber which cools you down between outside and inside temperatures. Once you enter inside the temperatures go down to -8°C. There are some slides, a trampoline and a few statues for pictures. Before entering they provide you with a pair of socks, shoes, gloves and a jerkin. Everything is well planned except for the pricing as I feel the price could be better. Timing - 1hr duration Price - 800rs

A must-visit place with your family and friends You will have 45 minutes to enjoy the snow. It's -7% inside; don't touch the ice without wearing gloves. Please wear full-sleeve clothes while visiting here, and if the lifeguards are not fitting for your size, please change them. The price looks a bit high, and there will be photographers asking to take photos. Please don't encourage them. Because they will charge 350 rupees for one print, and if you just want the soft copy, you have to pay 650 rupees (a minimum of 50 photos). Kind of robbery. The price at the cafeteria is costly, and the food quality is average. Don't waste your money on a 2D movie or Jungle Safari.

When you enter inside, gives you a feeling that you are somewhere in Himalayas. Within 10 minutes you will start feeling cold. Make sure snow doesn't enter your pant or tshirt. Definitely some little kids and old may feel frozen if not taken care of their gloves. 12d, jungle visit, arts view are additional areas for additional cost.

Mostly it's just playing with the snow. Tried to build a snowman but couldn't. The gloves they provide are not thick enough and get wet very soon. They played some songs with some disco lights towards the end.

Have already visited Trivandrum Anantha padmanaba temple. This is not so big in size of temple as well as size of bhagavan statue. But it looks the same as we are in standing there. When asked for archana ticket, that guy said "only with coconut, flower, naivethyum like nuts or kalakandu only be given. Else just in and make dharshan." Finally made dharshan with archana. On that day was thiruvonam stars pooja & received its pongal prasadham also.

There is also a statue of Chithira Thirunal, the last Maharajah of Travancore unveiled by Lord Erskine, the then Governor of Madras on September 29, 1939 commemorating the Temple Entry Proclamation.

Anantha Padmanabha Swamy temple is dedicated to Vishnu. It is a replica of Anantha Padmanabha Swamy of Trivandrum. The main deity Lord Vishnu is in the reclining posture on the five headed Adhisesha. The main deity is worshipped through 3 doors, which represents the birth, life & death of a person. Through the first door, we can see the face of Padmanabha & the right hand worshipping the Siva Lingam. From the second door we can see the Brahma seated on a lotus originating from the Vishnu's navel & from the 3rd door we can see the Lord's lotus feet. The sanctum also has idols of Sage Bhrigu, Sage Markandeya as well as Sridevi & Bhoomi Devi. There are separate shrines for Vinayagar & Navagraha outside the main temple. Inside there are shrines for Garuda & Anjaneya. Outer walls of the sanctum has idols of Sudharshana, Lakshmi Narasihma, Ashtadasabhuja Mahadurga. It was built in 1962 on the land donated by Chithira Thirunal, the last Maharaja of Travancore.

Sri Anantha Padmanabha swamy temple is a very divine place. The main deity is in sleeping posture. Temple is well maintained and clean. Also has a waiting area to sit and see aarthi and Pooja happening to the deity. One among the blissful temples for Perumal. Would recommend it for all devotees.

Divine and beautiful. Lord Ganapati is majestic at the entrance. All Sannidhanam s great and powerful vibration. Main Deity Sri AnanthaPadmanabhaswami is same as the one in Thiruvananthapuram Kerala. Ote the unity between Saivaism and Vaishanvism - his hand tip points towards the Shiva lingam in the sanctum besides all other Gods and Saints.

We are blessed to have dharshan of Arulmigu Anantha Padhmanabasamy with Arthi. We are planning a pilgrimage to Anantha Padhmanabasamy Temple at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, but somehow it's not materialised. However today that desire fulfilled by having very good dharshan at Shri Anantha Padhmanabasamy Temple at Gandhi Nagar, Adyar, Chennai. Very neatly maintained and very calm divine atmosphere. Those who are unable to visit the Shri Anantha Padhmanabasamy Temple at Thiruvananthapuram can have dharshan at this temple.

Arulmigu Sri Parthasarathy Perumal Temple Tiruvallikeni

Mentioned on
Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Arulmigu Sri Parthasarathy Perumal Temple Tiruvallikeni is a sacred 8th-century temple dedicated to the worship of Lord Krishna. The temple showcases intricate carvings on its towers and columns, reflecting the architectural expression of pre-colonial Tamil culture. It stands as a prime example of ancient Tamil architecture in Chennai, alongside the Mylapore Kapaleeswarar Temple.
I visited last this temple in1989. There is vast change in the temple premises as it is. The temple priests are highly competitive. Standing in front of each of the deities and recapitulating the past was highly satisfying. I cherish the sweet memories for quit some time to come. The Annual Brahmotsavam celebration at tme my visit was DIVINE BLESSING.

It's one among the 108 Divya Desam. Here Partha sarathi is a main deity, who is along with his grand son also. Vedavalla Thayar is a goddess. Though all other deities came out in pallakku during festivals season, goddess won't come out from the temple. Narasimmar swamy is another god and varadharajar also inside the premises. Once you enter into this temple, you will get blessings from all these god including Andal Nachiyar.

A temple is not a place to be rated on the facilities, but more on the peace and satisfaction one gets from worshipping there. That way, for a pious person all temples get a five star rating.

Words fail me to describe the beauty, the piety, the love of God one feels when one enters this Temple. You have to feel the love of God in your soul when you enter this pious place. Lord Parthasarthy with a mustache. You can spend hours and hours just looking at the Lord. Each wall, each pillar, each sub-temple has history inscribed on it. This is not a Tourist place but this is a Pilgrimage of the soul of the Atman!! Do involve yourself with the working of this temple. It is the duty of even human being to strengthen such places of worship which are thousands of years old. Highly, highly recommended. temple opens at 6 AM and closes at 12-12:30 and then opens at 4 PM. Dress should be traditional dhoti, jeans, trousers....you can take flowers to the temples and the sub-temples. Do spend an hour here at least.

Nice temple, everything is neatly aligned. You can walk in and visit every deity and finally meet lord Partha.. Prasatham was nice and affordable.. Parking is the biggest problem, once the parking arena is full, you have to take a tour in that area to find a parking spot.. really tough though l..

Instead of managing crowd in every small temple they made queue. Only if you have Rs.100 you can peacefully workshop god, others will be in 2nd or in 3 row where God won't even visible. You only get chance for 3 seconds and people will urge you to go out

Beautiful temple. One of those rare (perhaps the only one) temples which has Krishna's idol with a moustache. The main sanctum sanctorum is deep inside and the idol is big. There are many other beautiful temples in the premises. Marina beach is a five minute walk from the temple.

This is a temple (and not rooms/hotel as mentioned by Google). The temple has good parking slot availability and has ample entrance space. We were blessed to visit the temple on a Sunday where prasadam was provided after which we did darshan of Perumal, Thayar...They have prasadam counter which has various options and also good quantity/quality. Must visit place especially in the mornings if you are looking for enriching/blissful experience

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Sri Parthasarathy Temple and I must say, it was a truly remarkable and enlightening experience. Nestled amidst serene surroundings, this temple offers a tranquil haven for spiritual seekers and a glimpse into the rich cultural and religious heritage of the region. From the moment I stepped foot inside the temple grounds, I was struck by the aura of peace and serenity that enveloped the entire area. The temple's architectural beauty was awe-inspiring, with intricate carvings and ornate decorations that reflected the skill and craftsmanship of the artisans. Upon entering the main prayer hall, I was greeted by the enchanting aroma of incense and the soft sound of devotional chants. The interior of the temple was adorned with beautiful murals depicting scenes from ancient scriptures, adding to the overall spiritual ambiance. The carefully designed layout of the hall allowed for a seamless flow of positive energy, encouraging introspection and meditation. The highlight of my visit was witnessing the religious rituals and ceremonies conducted by the temple priests. Their dedication, devotion, and deep-rooted knowledge were evident as they performed the rituals with utmost precision and reverence. Observing these rituals provided me with a profound understanding of the temple's significance and the role it plays in the lives of its devotees. What truly sets Sri Parthasarathy Temple apart is its inclusivity and welcoming atmosphere. Regardless of one's religious or cultural background, visitors are greeted with warmth and respect. The temple actively promotes interfaith dialogue and organizes various events and programs to foster unity and understanding among different communities. In conclusion, my visit to Sri Parthasarathy Temple was nothing short of extraordinary. It provided a serene retreat from the bustling world outside, allowing me to reconnect with my inner self and experience a sense of tranquility. The temple's devotion to spirituality, cultural preservation, and community outreach is truly commendable. I highly recommend a visit to Sri Parthasarathy Temple to anyone seeking solace, spiritual enlightenment, or a deeper understanding of the region's cultural heritage.

Very ancient temple for Lord Krishna. You can see very beautiful carvings inside temple. On the walls you can see the core concepts of embryology. Back in 7th or 8th century having this type of knowledge and allowing artists to use it in temple architecture is a sign of advanced civilisation. I am so lucky to visit this place.

Beautiful experience. Carries traditions and rituals of hundreds of years, and smells of flowers and Tulsi leaves. This temple might be the single best temple in and around Chennai, and is very unlike other popular temples which are heavily commercialised. For a person seeking spiritual peace or just a few moments of quality time inside a Hindu temple, this temple is a must visit. Do offer some small donations and the pundits will hand you flowers & leaves from the gods feet.

A historic temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, known for its beautiful architecture and spiritual significance. The temple's towering gopuram and intricate carvings are a sight to behold. The temple's peaceful atmosphere and the devotional music add to the overall experience of worship. Overall, a must-visit destination for anyone seeking spiritual solace in Chennai.

I do not know about rooms nearby to stay. This temple brings you a lot of peace of mind in this present day pseudo busy life. One must visit this place to get blessings (if one believes God) of Super natural Power, embedded in statue

I visited Arulmigu Sri Parthasarthy Temple in Chennai just two months ago, and it was a special experience. This temple is a place to find peace and connect with God. It's been here for a really long time, over a thousand years, and that's pretty amazing. The temple's design is wonderful. The carvings on the walls and the tall towers are beautiful. Inside, you can see Lord Parthasarathy, who was Lord Krishna's charioteer, in a unique form. He has a mustache and a bow. The temple also has other gods like Lord Narasimha, Lord Ranganatha, and Lord Rama. The temple opens in the morning from 5:30 AM to 12:00 PM and in the evening from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Mornings are quieter, so it's a great time to pray and feel close to God. And you'll find it easier to park your car freely during these times. I would recommend visiting in the morning because it's less crowded and you can pray peacefully. Plus, you won't have to worry about availabilityof a good parking slot.

A beautiful beautiful temple. A definite must visit when in Chennai. The great Tamil poet Bharatiyar's house is also right next to the temple. It's also open to the public for visiting. Do check it out. There is car parking available at the front. You will have to pay around 20 bucks one time for it.

One of the oldest Vishnu Temples in Tamil Nadu and probably only one of Lord Vishnu gracing with a moustache. Feels divine and calming during darshan. Prasadams, hand wash and drinking water facilities are available inside the temple. Lots of parking space on the road is available but may not be enough on special days. Paid, special darshan options available.

Beautiful temple with enchanting vibes. The strong positive aura created by devotees makes the place more blissful. Blessed by wonderful God statue, only thing that is not appreciated is that there are queue based on money you spend to see God. Why such discrimination!!! The road to reach is quite narrow and so going to this place by car certainly is challenging. Auto is best option. Worth one visit if first time in city...

It is considered the 60th divya desam. It is an ancient temple built by pallavas. You can find inscription in the temple. The temple opens at 6am but darshan starts only by 7.15am. There is special darshan ticket if you pay 50₹. But you will miss seeing Rama and Sri ranganathar if you go by special darshan route. You have the benefit of visiting five divya desham when you visit this temple. There are sannadi for Rama,Ranganathar, Parthasarthy varadharajar and Narasimhar.Lord parthasarthy is almost 10 feet tall. He has only two hands holding a counch in one and giving a blessing in the other. He also holds a dagger

Beautiful ancient temple within the city. The sculptures and the deities are so delightfully, thoughtfully and artistically sculpted by our ancestors. The main deity is Krishna or Vishnu as the charioteer of Arjuna in the epic Mahabharata. The deity is huge with a sword and sporting a mustache unlike other Vishnu deities in Vishnu temples. Such a blessing to have such vibrant and high energy spaces in the city itself. The shrines of Ranganatha Swami, Narasimha and Lakshmi Devi are so beautiful as well.

Walking into the Divya desha is like stepping into a world of elegance and spirituality. The atmosphere is truly divine, enveloping you in a sense of peace and tranquility. South Indian restaurant
Dakshin is a renowned restaurant in Chennai that offers an authentic South Indian dining experience. Since its opening in 1989, it has maintained its traditional concept, decor, and staff. The menu features a wide range of dishes from Kerala, Andhra, and Chettinad, allowing guests to sample various regional flavors. The restaurant's temple-style setting is complemented by local music and unique decor elements such as bronze Nataraja sculptures and distinctive chandeliers.
Dakshin is a safe choice for the well healed to experience a traditional south Indian thali. The food options even when consumed in single portions of each offering can amount to a "seam-bursting" lot; and how could you not - they are all soooo excellent in their freshness, flavors and presentation. Combined with five star service, you just have to live large once in a while. Now you are forewarned.

Hi Foodies, Visited the place for some evening bites, the place is located just in front of prestige college and the ambience of the place is unique and different, they have all the roof covered with colourful umbrellas with small lights, which looks really attractive and beautiful, when looked at from far. Additionally they have a big board with there name at the corner, which is quiet a selfie spot at that place.

Dakshin is a serene place. It takes us one step closer to the roots. One side we have the Tanjore paintings depicting the different Krishna Leela, the other side we have the giant Ganesha guarding the doors and then comes the stage with the mighty Natraj- blessing the one with an art inclination. The stage is the home for two very talented musicians. They have flute and tabla and there comes out the most melodious of the tunes.'Surmayi akhiyon main' the song depicting sridevi and Kamal Hasan takes one to a dreamy world. The food is authentic south Indian with the spices striking the perfect chord. The vegetable stew with appam is must have. And for the ones with a chatty tongue, there are set of fried chillis teasing u. Have the 'Iyer Trolley as starter and the tangy rasam. The apalams are the perfect companion of the six different varieties of chutneys. The payasam was the final taal we needed. Mr. Satish helped us with the food choices and took great care of us. They even arranged for a complimentary cake for the celebration we were there for

Nice dining experience, good for family and friends gathering. The place/environment ambient was good. Their meal/thali plate was tasty and we liked it. They started with multiple rounds of crispy prawn and chicken fries. Dosa varieties including banana dosa was good along with multiple chutneys. Parota, rice and mutton biriyani was good. They provided side dishes in the form of chicken, korma, mutton fry, prawn gravy fry, mushroom masala and bean poriyal. Thengai kher was tasty. Mixed fruit flavored ice creams with badam/halva was served, ended with filter coffee and Sweet beeda/pan. They treated us with nandu puttu(crab), its taste was different.(probably, need to be heated). There was a pleasant on stage musical performance which suited lunch time experience, they did a birthday facilitation for one of the diner. Staff were humble, polite & cordial and their service was great!

One of the best South Indian restaurants in the city. Every dish here tastes good. We are big fans of their vegetarian thali. The food is always lip smacking. The decor is outdated and it gets very crowded even during weekdays. The service becomes very slow once the place is crowded but other than that no complaints cos the food makes up for it. My favorite part of the meal is the dessert. The 3 fruit ice cream and paal payasam are hands down the best. One tip- Call and make a reservation ahead even during weekdays.

At Pan-Asian restaurant ITC Grand Chola, diners can sample a variety of Far East Asian cuisine, including sushi and sashimi plates, Chinese simmered prawns with stir-fried lobster, and more. Signature dishes include the pan-Asian sushi and sashimi platter, as well as Chinese simmered prawns with stir-fried lobster. The restaurant is also noted for its sumptuous atmosphere and excellent service.
Really great Asian dining in chennai. I had Japanese, thai and Chinese dishes. All plated really well and tasted just as good. Surprisingly good sushi, the thai and Chinese adequately spiced and really vibrant flavours overall. Will highly recommend Pan Asian if you in chennai. We had to look at pan Asian restaurant (wonder why this is named this without a proper name) because the peshawari was not available. Not too pleases with the food. The dimsum was very average for the price points and inside q ITC property. The soup and spring roll was good but didn't like the dimsums and lotus stem dish. Not suited my palate I guess. The dimsum was a bit soggy due to excess starch. The sobo noodles was perfectly done with some Tufu option which we ordered in the side. I stil feell Yauatcha is far ahead in this race.

Very mediocre lunch buffet to start with. Food was below average for Rs 3250/- charged per head. On top the team decided to stop serving as they informed that they close by 3.30PM, without even a notice. After quite a few words were exchanged with the Manager Mr Sunny, they decided to extend their services which we were thankful for. However the Manager didn't seem interested when we tried to thank him later. Giving 2 stars only because they extended the services reasonably. ITC really needs to re-evaluate their service in a Luxury 5 Star category. Totally disappointed.

Everything we ordered were fresh and excellent! Service was as expected - wonderful! ITC itself was mind blowing and we loved everything about the place.
Shiva Kumar — Google review
We were there for the Sunday brunch and it was such a letdown - every single course of the meal. No nigiri or sashimi, some average quality maki (in comparison Leela's Spectra brunch has tuna, salmon and other nigiris and sashimi). The dimsums either had skin peeling off or so gooey that they were sticking to the palate. The appeitisers were unidimensional - batter fried prawns, stir fried lamb and chicken, all on the spicy side Worst were the main course - two non-veg choices - chicken and basa, batter friend with corn flour and dunked in some sauce - two of the cheapest proteins available in the market with a cooking method that every roadside joint in India uses (coat with corn flour, deep fry, dunk it in a sauce) The dessert spread didn't have anything Asian about it. For a restaurant that is supposed to cover some of the most amazing cuisines of the world - Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese (Sichuan, Cantonese, Shanghanese, Hainan etc.), it has to be a combination of cost cutting, lack of imagination and poor skills, to end up with this.

A really surprising restaurant to find inside ITC grand, offering a tour around the various cuisines of Asia. If you are someone who loves creamy peanuts and coconut flavours, you're in heaven when in Pan Asia for the sheer amount of the flavours of peanut sauce coming through the dishes. If you start consuming your meal even before the first bite, ordering the single serve is highly recommend by the team as plates that serve groups lack room for plating. The softshell crab, the sweet scallop sashimi and the chicken dim sums were filled with flavours. Take your time with the menu when you are in Pan Asia, don't be rushed, slow and steady and have a lovely journey throughout Asia.

Visited on a Wednesday. The same old ITC how it was before lockdown. No improvement. This is my nth visit to Madras Pavilion, but still they keep me disappointed. The spread is not worth the penny paid. Had a crunchy feeling and overall taste of most items were just average. Shortage of items in the counter, some items not properly cooked, no sync between staffs, no feedback form/mode of feedback and seems they are all underpaid. Needs a revamp of management and ambience. The only item I liked was Pomegranate Ginger Martini. It's loosing its charm. I may not visit again.

Part of ICT grand Chola, 5 star hotel, the Ambience was great. Good variety of both veg and non veg. Mutton briyani was a signature dish one should not miss. Staff take care well. Worth to spend important occasions here. Love to visit again.

Had been there for dinner. The varieties made available were very good with fruits and desserts, somehow i am not convinced with the main course varieties. Taste wise it's a roller coaster ride, some are really great and some not. The service like removing the plate once you leave the table is pathetic. Many items are kept in small plates or bowls, which are not replenished when it's near or completely over. It took 10 minutes for the chicken kebab to be refilled. Raitha took more than 15 minutes. Overall just okay.

Atmos is good, food isnt worth the amount we pay per person. They think earning money is just easy , we can realize this when they serve poor food to the table and when we pay the bill. Vegetarian dishes were not at all good, and strong advise if you want to have a veggie food then this is not your choice. Two wheeler Parking isnt arranged properly, yeah why visitor's are going to come in a 2 wheeler..remember bullet 500cc is also a two wheeler. Overall, ok choice from my choice rest is your decision.

Sweet potato soup and aubergine was awesome. Prawns in coconut curry was beautifully made. Such a lovely spread of desserts. Visited during the holidays so it was busier and kind of gave a marketplace buffet vibes. Staff was very helpful

Everything awesome. Choice, taste, quality, all superb. Lice counters met the requirements. Kids friendly meal, family get together, staffs support everything good. Will visit again

The buffet spread at the restaurant was not very well-organized, and guests seemed confused while searching for items. Surprisingly, there were no cut fruits available in the buffet dinner. Moreover, there was only one starter, which was quite average in taste. I had visited this place after a gap of four years, but sadly, there was no improvement in taste. However, the one area that needs an overhaul is the buffet layout, which is not up to the standards of the Grand Chola brand

Enjoyed my food during my stay, breakfast, lunch and dinner all are buffet. Items are limited when compare to other start hotels but given items tastes good. Both lunch and dinner three varieties of briyani was available special mention kadai gravy. Menu can be different for breakfast and some of the items also not available.both in lunch and dinner deserts taste was awesome. I have booked in packing so it was good for me if you are coming directly for dinner r lunch it's not worth for given menu

We are pretty disappointed with the items they have. They had only very few starter and it was cold too. Taste was not really good. Chennai(South India) is well known for tasty food but the food they prepared is not even justified for their restaurant name. Let give you an example of biriyani taste, it was like a jeera rice:( I rated 1 for service. No one care about the customer to know their feedback. If we go to barbecue the chief will come and they will look for an feedback and it did not see any people care about. If we need a spicy food they will prepare for it but here is no one cares about it. Over all they have very items and it's not tasty at all except few desert items. Not worth for money.. Just we enjoyed the atmosphere. Thanks

Vegetarian restaurant
Annalakshmi Restaurant is a temple-themed vegetarian restaurant located near the Air India building in Chennai. It offers a wide selection of northern and southern Indian vegetarian fare, including Jain cuisine. Originating in Malaysia in 1984, this non-profit establishment has sister branches across India, Singapore, and Australia. Part of its proceeds goes towards sustaining the artistic and charitable activities of the Temple of Arts.
Loved everything about this place. The ambience so inviting with beautiful tables and the mild fragrance from the sandalwood pillars, the staff so humble, the food is the best part, great quality food, they don't serve copious amounts so there is room for a lot of other items that is to come in the several courses of the meal. The whole meal is an experience that I will come back to again. I hope they keep up this great work!! Must try to experience excellent vegetarian food. Might need make a bit of effort to identify vegan food, but it is pretty easy. It's amazing how beautiful dishes can be made all with just plants. Indian cuisine and the way vegetables are used never ceases to amaze me. Annalakshmi does a fine job with the whole fine dining experience for vegetarian fare :)

Finest vegetarian restaurant in town. The place is majestic and royal. I’m really impressed with quiet environment,Fragrance and Carnatic music. They have exceeded my expectation with their quality and top notch service. I got to know that food were cooked and served by trust members through volunteering act! The place is bit expensive but worth it. I would recommend this place for fine dining with family.

An upscale and one of the finest vegetarian restaurants in Chennai. They offer stand-out experience for their customers. The presentation is exquisite with everything served on silver plates and some are even gold plated. The ambiance is great with beautiful interiors and the restaurant maintains impeccable cleanliness. The dining experience here rivals that of a 4 or 5-star hotel in the city. The dishes are not only delicious but are also unique. While the overall service is commendable, we did encounter a few disappointments. Reservations are a must, given the popularity of the place. Plan to spend somewhere around 1000 INR per person. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to people.

Everything about the ambience as well as the taste feels divine. Traditional South Indian/ North Indian menu. Staff is very friendly, polite and makes you feel right at home. Offers both Thali as well as a la`carte options. Reservation required. Valet parking available.

In terms of food the taste was very good and authentic. The food variety is almost like what you eat at weddings but with much better quality. The price is justified for the quality of the food and they serve it again if you want. This place has one of the best ambience I've ever seen. It was the perfect fine dining experience with no rush and it's great for get togethers. Note: Make sure to call them and get a reservation beforehand. Walk in is not preferred here as every table will be booked

Need to book this place one month in advance!! Everything was just fabulous - from food to service. If you want a great South Indian lunch - visit this place. Plenty of parking space available too! One of the best places in Chennai for South Indian options especially. Highly recommended.

Nice ambiance. Food taste was ok. Not good..This restaurant is not for middle class people..The service was too good. Lots of parking space available. Party hall also available. Toilets are very clean... Taste of the food is not full fill my expectation.

A genuine vegetarian restaurant with a spiritual touch. It felt luxurious and it was like we were in a grand Indian wedding. You cannot expect spicy Chinese vegetarian dishes here.

It's very different place, in a good way, for a restaurant in Chennai. Just landed there randomly for lunch and picked sambar rice, so the food review is limited to the one item. The setup is 5*, but food is 3*. It was spicy and I gotta turn it down with yogurt. The place has some interesting background and has international presence. You could take some friends or family who are out of state or country, just for experience. The finger bowl was quite a nice surprise.

I cannot tell you how long I've waited to go here! You can go here only with reservations and you need to book by Tue-Wed if you want to eat here by the weekend. The ambience was amazing! I liked how they served the food one after another and everything tasted good :) I didn't enjoy the cauliflower starters alone but everything else was good. One of the best vegetarian South Indian meals you can have!

It was a great experience. Each and every dish was amazing, a proper combination of North Indian plus South Indian flavours. You have to book your seat before visiting, go and enjoy the meal with your friends and family. 1 person cost ( thali) rs.1250.

March 12, 2024 (Tuesday evening) -- My friend took me here, the place is richly decorated with traditional South Indian statues and artifacts, with well spaced table placements. The menu was broad and covered a lot of South Indian delicacies that one won't see in a typical Indian restaurant outside India, which are dominated by North Indian rotis/naans and gravies. So, this is the kind of restaurant you take your foreign friend/client to -- exotic, authentic, and pleasant. We had the following. 1. Navaratna dosai -- A normal ghee (clarified butter) dosai with dry fruits -- such as almond (badam), tooty-frooty, apple, pineapple, cashew, cherry -- inside the fold of the dosai. This was sweet and the `ghee'ness was super! The accompanying sambar and onion chutney were spicy to the right levels, the coconut-bengal gram chutney was very soft. I ate two cups of each of the three. 2. Roti and pudhina paratha -- were normal. 3. Methi Malai mutter and Paneer pasanda -- the gravies were soft (less spicy) and flavourful. We actually ordered the 'Methi makkai palak', but we were served (and billed) Methi malai mutter. 4. On the house vadaam (sort of a rice flour dough deep fry) at the beginning and sweet beeda (beetel leaf folded with sweet stuffing inside) were given. I was never a fan or regular eater of beeda, but I tried it that day. It was nice and juicy, the sweetness and leafness were well balanced. 5. The servers bring around 4 pickles now and then. I tried the puli inji (tamarind and ginger), and mango ginger. Both were very good. The prices are very high ~Rs. 1600 for two, but the quality of food , ambience, and service were very good.

When in Chennai, a visit to Murugan Idli Shop is a must for those craving the fluffiest idlis in town. This iconic food joint has been a favorite among locals and tourists for nearly two decades. Don't miss their signature drink, Jigarthanda, a delightful blend of milk, ice-cream, and sabudana. The podi idli and sambar are highly recommended, while the ghee masala thosai is decent.
Small place but packed with some good food, Murugan Idli are known for their Ghee Podi Idlis and Podi Dosas. And that’s what we tried here as well, we visited here during lunch time although they had mini meals, but we decided to go for what they are best at. We tried their Ghee Podi Dosa and Ghee Podi Idli, super soft idlis nicely coated with ghee and Pudi which takes it to next level. They serve some 3-4 varieties of chutney, 1 coconut chutney, 1 tomato, 1 onion, 1 coriander and Sambar. Dosa (Dosai) was also superb, size is big, crispy and nicely coated with ghee and podi. Service is quick, staff are very humble, although we didn’t know Tamil, they were kind enough to keep patience and understand what we were asking for.

Not a great place. We tried for the first time and we were utterly disappointed with both their food and the service. We ordered few items and it was served very late compared to the other tables. We tried ghee roast, idli, sweet pongal, sweet appam, kuli paniyaram and karuvapillai idli. They keep asking us what we want but the service was way too late. Even the atmosphere was not great. So I should say we would never go back again to this place.

Whenever i feel to eat south Indian authentic idly and Dosas, my ultimate stop will be Murugan Idli shop. Though it is little bit costly compared to other restaurants for simple idly and dosa varieties. But definitely it is a must try place to have if you are fond of idly and dosas. They have a lot of varieties in dosa and idly. I highly recommend their ghee podi idly, ghee podi onion Uthappam, vada, and sweet Pongal as a default. They serve fresh and immediately when we order. Ambience of this restaurant feels good and cozy because It is located in T.nagar G N Chetty Road. Service in Murugan idly shop is always good and pleasant I feel. I never gone through anything bad about their service in other branches too. So it is must try spot for ultimate idly and dosa lovers.

Quality : It wasn't the same as what I experienced 12 years ago. Taste Consistency in sambhar, idly, kuli paniyaram - I was highly disappointed. I thought podi and oil was a complementary, apparently it costs Rs.40/-. Pongal and kuli paniyaram wasn't hot and it seems they cooked it in the evening

Their podi idli, sambar was good where as ghee masala thosai was average. Thick sambar gravy. Service was quick and coffee was ordinary. Sweet ponggal was kinda too sweet but the ghee made it taste good.

True to the brand, food is tasty and of quality. But price point is on the higher side even considering the quality and taste. On food taste We weren't disappointed.. but being a small outlet we had to wait even at 11pm for a table. Service was good.
