Yep it’s really a place to BE!! Hosted by teen queen bees their food tastes authentic on the menu they offer. We tried spicy chicken pizza and red sauce olives pasta!! It was yummy and felt too good with the climate! Ambience is just perfect!! Special mention on oregano they have ! Highly recommend Cheers

We took some pizzas and starters in both veg and non veg. They have a scope to upgrade their taste still. Starters were frozen and the same was backed and served, it's not prepare on the same day ot time. So taste is not that good. Ambience were attractive and cosy place to visit which I would definitely prefer, however with respect to the food and beverages I'm going with 3 start rating for now.

A decent place in Ooty, especially very nice cafe to hangout for visitors. I had been to this place and liked the interior, very nice decoration with inside and outside seating. I have ordered fresh lime soda - was very refreshing. White sauce pasta- was too delicious with lots of olives and creamy sauce. Taste could have been better, but it was good. Garlic bread - this was quite different from other places, served with mayonnaise and it had soft texture with crunchy taste, perfect one to try here. The only problem I felt was, most of the items were not there when I went, so I have to choose what they prefer. Very less staff. Prices were reasonable.

We searched for a cozy cafe and found this one, The ambience and feel this of this place is great. We'd hot chocolate which was okay, and the waiting time was too long. The person who served us was kind, he called a ride for us since we couldn't find any. The bee info and products are intriguing.
Tal3nt_ Ash — Google review
The location is very close to city centre of Ooty. The ambience is good. A lot of articles about bees framed and Hanged on walls which is informative. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. It’s a house converted into a restaurant. Dining area is on first floor and kitchen is on ground floor. They say they have slow cooking which also delays the service. However the quality of food is not great. We ordered soup and found an instect in it. The quality is pizza and pasta was also not good. The manager did not even apologise for the insect in soup. Hygiene and quality is questionable.
Robin Meena — Google review
We went in a group of 10 for lunch. The staff was very courteous. And helpful The service was a little bit slow but since we were the first customers, I can understand that. The menu has a lot to choose from! I tried the Grilled Chicken Supreme and it was really good! Even though we came in first, the chicken was done well. The interiors are done really well and the lighting makes the place more cosy.
Aditya Barman — Google review
Went to this place after reading nice reviews online . Brush up on Nilgiri-bee facts over meals at this arty, fairy-lit restaurant tucked inside the Keystone Foundation's little Bee Museum. We ordered, Pizza and Pasta and both the dishes were luscious . Especially the wood fire pizza. It seems from the earlier Google reviews that the place follows the concept of "Slow Food" which means food is ethical and sourced locally. I am not sure about the authenticity of the this fact . There are some shortfalls of this place - poor service, no proper way of maintaining orders. Staff was fully occupied. Parking is very limited at this place. They have parking at the venue for about 2 cars, but you can park in the area beside the restaurant. On a busy day the nearby area beside the restaurant also fills up with vehicles, and in that case you need to park on the mail road.
Samrat Sarkar — Google review
Loved this cozy little eatery and the food was really nice, the pizza, the chicken steak and the bread were all lovely. The place follows the concept of slow food and is inspired my bee farming and honey. The staff is warm and polite and the food is delicious

Nice and calm place to be. Its busy during evenings. Everyone won't like the taste of its food items. Lots of research and planned work has been put up on walls of cafe about bees. Different types of bees to see. Its good for pasta and pizza. Menu can have more of items. Non-veg soup was very disappointing.

Restaurant
Benjarong is a renowned Thai restaurant in Chennai, offering an extensive menu of authentic and delicious Thai cuisine. The restaurant frequently hosts food festivals that highlight lesser-known regions of Thailand. Named after traditional Thai porcelain, Benjarong has been a pioneer in bringing authentic Thai culinary traditions to the city since 2000. With ample seating, parking, and wheelchair access, it provides a comfortable dining experience for families or couples.
This is the place for authentic Thai food in India. This is an old restaurant with over 20 years of experience. There was Thai music inside and the service of the staff was excellent. In particular, when serving the food, he gave detailed explanations about the foods. Sanitary conditions were also quite satisfactory. It was an opportunity to experience delicious local food during a difficult time to visit Thailand due to Corona. This is a recommended place if you want to try Thai cuisine with your family or friends.

Decent place to cater the local population. Some of the dishes were new (possibly localized). First time tried the tofu wrapped in leaf and cooked and it was not bad.
Sundar Bharadwaj — Google review
Nice Thai restaurant in Chennai, with a big menu of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The dishes are made to suit the local palate, especially the yellow curry which was very turmeric heavy. Service was friendly but there were only three staff serving the whole restaurant, which meant that they were working extremely hard to serve all the tables, and only came by from time to time.
Rohan Muralee — Google review
Benjarong has been an old favourite since many years. The familiarity feels great. However this time I felt the food lacked a certain punch! The flavours were very one dimensional. My reccos will be the complimentary Thai diy paan The stir fried veggies were excellent! The chicken cooked in pandan leaves and the fried ice cream Don't miss. The rubies in coconut milk.. that's something they've got down to pat... consistent over the years!
Upasana Mahtani — Google review
This was an exclusive Thai restaurant with a home like feeling but a high end restaurant. The architecture and decor resembles Thailand. The service was extremely good. We tried numerous dishes and they were all delicious with unique flavors. Very pricey but very nice for a date or g for a family. They had seating for everyone. Parking is available.

We had a booking for a table of 15 of us ... the food tasted authentic and wholesome .. the pan type starter with the spinach leaf base filled with lemon+ginger+onion +coconut + chilly+peanuts + sweet sauce was superb 👌🏼.. perfect blend of all tastes ... so appetising . ... For starters - The pandan chicken , the tamarind sauce prawn and the corn baskets were too good. Soup - the chicken basil / tomyum soup was so flavourful and perfect for the start. Main course - the pad Thai + burnt garlic friderice + green curry was yummy! Dessert - simple, light and perfect the Ruby red waterchestnut with coconut milk 🤩 Overall, we had an amazing dinner with excellent service from their staff in a festive ambiance ! Definitely recommend this place for some good food.

Best Thai food place in Chennai. Personally loved all the dishes except for the spring rolls and mushroom skewers. The tofu in pandan leaves was amazing, will visit again for this dish alone. Service was 5/5. Ambience was great. Priced high. VFM is something they can work on.

Delicious food, excellent service. It’s a cozy little place. Perfect for a family dinner or a date. They’ll serve you this platter that you can make your own paan with. 10/10 recommend adding everything. The food was divine! The chicken was tender, prawns so juicy, and the Thai curry was one of the best I’ve ever had. Also a really nice place to click pictures at. Nice decoration ngl.

Benjarong is a restaurant that serves Thai food and has been into this for a very long time now which one will understand upon their first visit. Thai food in general has a lot of flavor and the freshness of ingredients add an extra kick that you can’t just not enjoy. Our orders consisted their signature pandan wrapped chicken - juicy succulent pieces of chicken(mostly thigh pieces) marinated and fried to perfection. Their appetiser plate is very refreshing and has a lot of texture and flavor. Our order also had tom yum soup, Thai Basil fried rice chicken and liked it too.

Visited Benjarong Thai restaurant last month. The Thai cuisine they served and the calm atmosphere were mind-blowing. I had visited this restaurant few years back with my family and loved the place. The taste of food is the main reason which brought me here again. The quality of food and consistent taste are much appreciated. Trust me.. you will really feel good once you visited here.

My husband and I love thai cuisine and keep exploring new thai places around the city. This place is located in a nice area with a good review on google, hence we decided to try it. All the dishes on the menu were highly prices. We ordered a tofu based stater, thai green curry and jasmine rice. The tofu was well cooked, but lacked any unique flavor. The thai curry was decent with a good portion size. However for the price(~1.8k for two) that we paid, the food was very average.

Everything looks and feels so authentic. Loved the place. It is calm and beautiful. Service was quick and helpful. Food was amazing! Tried the Gai Hor Baitaey, tender and rich in flavourful. Must try for Thai Cuisine.

Amazing Thai food at Benjarong! My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the delicious appetisers. The food was amazing and the crew provided attentive service. I’ll definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s craving for Thai food. Some dishes that I think are worth a try are pandan chicken (non-veg) and egg salad (veg, I believe). They have vegetarian options but my meal was mainly non-veg. A pity that we didn’t get the service crew’s name. Thank you for being such great hosts! By the way, do not take my bill as a reference because my husband and I ordered enough food for 4 pax - we’ve always had a problem with portioning…

We recently dined at Benjarong Thai restaurant, and I must say the food was authentic and had good taste. The Chicken in Pandhan leaves was good, although I remember it being even better on a previous visit. Overall, it was a decent and yummy meal that satisfied our Thai food cravings."

In fact, visitors to Phils Bistro have raved about their exceptional pizzas which are regarded as some of the finest available in India.
The best Italian/American Restaurant for a premium dine in experience. Their seafood dumpling soup, Potato and leek soup and cajun spicy shrimp pasta is a must try!

This is one of the places in Madurai that offers Italian and American cuisine. 1. The honey BBQ wings were very, very balanced in flavour and had a great crisy texture went really well with the sauce. 2. Lasagna: I wish the layers were more in number and maybe could have been cut better to give a better visual. The taste was okay. Could add a bit of butter-fried breadcrumbs to make it richer and give a nice background crunch 3. Key Lime Pie: amazing, creamy and had the right amount of lime. It had a great cookie crust as well. Just wish the portion size was larger. 4. Had a lamb dish whose name I forget. The lamb was very well done, and the meat was falling off the bone. However, the quantity of mashed potato, which tasted really good, was quite less for a ~₹500 dish.

Great place for continental dishes. The dishes are prepared fresh so they are taking time to serve after ordering. Dishes taste great but quantity can be improved, e.g. add more chicken pieces in chicken salad.
Sivachandran Paramasivam — Google review
The restaurant is located in the heart of KK Nagar Madurai. It is the only restaurant in Madurai which serve authentic Italian cuisine. Their dishes are too good. From pastas to pizzas and their sides all are taste very good. The only minus I saw was the food quantity was not adequate.
Mohammed Abdul kadhir — Google review
We as couple had our lunch here and we were very much satisfied with both food and ambiance. As I read many reviews I find one common things is “quantity is not worth for the price” Phil is very much responsive, you can ask him how the food is prepared and the quantity of the same so that we can have an idea of what we are going to get. The lamb strips were so delicious with right amount of spices and quantity was around 200grams plus which was sufficient enough for two people. After having white sauce pasta at most places,I found the dish here were unique..With small lemon pieces and grill chicken I must say the flavor was very good.. I was told the bbq wings is also good here. Key lime pie was good… I wanted to try other desserts too … may be next time !

It’s a quaint little place in the temple city. This is highly recommended for people who wants a change of food from the traditional cuisine. What I loved - music , ambience and taste of the food . Might seems a bit on the higher side for a smaller town, but food was good so one doesn’t mind paying .

3 star for the ambience of the restaurant. The restaurant looks like some conference hall with some old curtains hanging on the window. We didn't like the way the pizza was served/presented on the cake stand. The high chair is helpful for kids.

Another must try cafe in Madurai. This cafe has an excellent ambiance for couples. Although the cost is on a higher scale, the taste of the food here is very unique unlike many other cafes in Madurai and its surroundings. This cafe also has a bakery on the front selling cakes. Beautiful ambiance for family and couples. Although madurai is not a coastal area, this cafe is obviously an excellent place to try sea foods. There is limited parking space here for cars. The restroom is well maintained.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Phil’s Bistro in Madurai during our family trip to South India. We were in search of European flavors, and Phil’s Bistro exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we walked in, it was evident that the owner takes immense pride in their work, and it reflected in the quality of our dining experience. I couldn't resist trying the Chicken Parmesan and the Chicken Bell pepper with rustica sauce, and both dishes were a delightful burst of flavors. They were well-made, incredibly tasty, and the rich, authentic flavors transported us to Europe right here in Madurai. Not to be outdone, the rest of my family enjoyed their selections as well. The sizzling cheesy chicken, the chicken Alfredo, and the jalapeño chicken were all outstanding. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and left us craving more. But the true surprise came with the dessert selection. We decided to indulge in every option on the menu, and the brownie and lava cake were clear standouts. If you have a sweet tooth, these desserts are a must-try. In conclusion, if you're in Madurai and seeking an unforgettable dining experience with European flavors, look no further than Phil’s Bistro. The exceptional food, warm ambiance, and the owner's dedication to their craft make it the best place to savor these delectable dishes. Your taste buds will thank you for it!

I really enjoy coming to Phil's Bistro. I was here the last time I visited Madurai as well. I had ordered the Mozzarella sticks today and my only issue was that there was almost no salt in the marinara dip. Enjoyed the rest of the food.
Vijay Ramesh — Google review
I had a disappointing experience at Phil's Bistro recently, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts. The evening started with high hopes, but it quickly turned into a frustrating and unsatisfactory dining experience. The first major issue was with the food quality. My party and I ordered pasta, and it arrived at our table undercooked and still al dente. It was evident that the kitchen had not given it the proper attention and time it deserved. The result was a less-than-pleasant dining experience as we struggled to enjoy our meal due to the undercooked pasta. The service, however, was even more frustrating than the food quality. To make matters worse, the restaurant didn't even provide us with plates for our meal. We were left in an awkward situation, trying to eat directly from the serving plate, which is far from the expected standard of service. This inconvenience persisted even after we politely asked the staff for plates, which they promised to bring but never did. The lack of responsiveness and attentiveness from the staff made the dining experience at Phil's Bistro extremely unpleasant. It felt as though our needs and concerns were being completely ignored. In conclusion, my visit to Phil's Bistro left me deeply dissatisfied with both the quality of the food and the level of service provided. Undercooked pasta and the absence of plates for our meal marred what should have been an enjoyable dining experience. I hope that the restaurant takes these issues seriously and improves the quality of its food and service to ensure a more positive experience for future patrons.

It was an evening with my best friend from school. We're happy to have chosen Phil's Bristo. All what we've had ordered was incredibly, irresistibly flavourful. It's instantly comforting  & heartly foods ,but spirited enough to make one feel invigorated. Chef Phil truly understands Italian / American flavour.Thank you for the amazing foods & hospitality. 😊 Must visit.

Had a sub-par experience at phil's recently. I was seated in a separate dining hall where the service was extremely slow. It took ages for anyone to come and take an order. We've experienced slow service at phil's before but this was the first time that i found no waiters around to even take orders. The bill itself took 10-15 minutes to ready. The food was alright. The main course was fine but the dessert - key lime pie - was mostly condensed milk with hardly any lime in it. As though someone threw some ingredients together as an after-thought. It was extremely sweet and not worth being on the menu in this state. Enclosing image of it. You will see it is very different from what previous diners have posted. This experience is going to ensure that i don't go there again and I'm going discourage others from doing the same. Good luck to the management.

The restaurant is in a resort right at the entrance of Mahabalipuram. We did our booking online for lunch on a Sunday. We promptly received a call confirming the booking and we were informed that it was a buffet lunch. There was a reasonable amount of parking available and for the EV owners there is a Tata Power EV charging station also at the parking lot. The place was completely full. We were welcomed and seated with a great view of the ocean. They informed us that the soup will be served at the table. The manager told us the soup would be spicy but it will be ok. The soup came to the table and it was way too spicy all of us had to waste it. The spread was mediocre with many dishes emptying out as soon as it was refilled. We couldn't really blame the restaurant as it was a full house. There were about 3 vegetarian starters which tasted ok. There was no bread to accompany the starters. There were 3 mocktail selections from which we had to choose. The masala coke was ok but served in a small glass. The main courses tasted average nothing special. The desserts were better but again tiny portions. I know we can take as many as we wanted but I get the feeling we were discouraged from eating a lot. The bill was hefty which is the main reason for a 3 star review. I think it cost more than ₹1500 a person and the taste and spread didn't justify it to me. The positive was that the service was very good and the view of the sea was spectacular.

The Andhra Curry Restaurant is a fine-dining establishment with 56 covers and seating capacity for 60 people. The restaurant serves authentic Andhra cuisine, including thali dishes that are a treat. The card machine never works, but the falooda was just ice cream, so that's not too bad. If the card machine worked, this restaurant would be 5 stars.
My favourite restaurant for Andhra style food. Their veg lunch is amazing. They give a ginger welcome drink to start with. The gongura chutney and pickle are yummy. At other restaurants they usually serve the rice podi and ghee. Here they place it on your table and it's unlimited to have the ghee or podi. Though a bit spicy, it's very tasty. Their guntur chicken, mirapakaya chicken and gongura chicken are not to be missed dishes. They also sell the authentic Andhra rice podi at the front counter. The final touch of 'neiseeval' and sugar coated roasted rice is just yummy.

Really nice place to enjoy homely food. The place feels as if you came to some relative's place and having some awesome food. The staff are friendly and if you are confused by the menu don't shy to ask for suggestions. By the way mutton biryani is awesome and so is the custered pudding. Will also suggest to try their thali and how can i forget the welcome drink in shot glass. By the way alcohol is strictly prohibited here. Only downside if you absolutely want to find one will be the price. Comparatively it's a bit costly.

Bought mutton kari and chukka, absolutely tasteless and the mutton was not at all fresh was definitely old and frozen. Extremely costly, and not at all worth a penny.
