The Huskitory is a pet cafe located in Melaka and it is the first one in the city. It has a lot of huskies which you can get close to and they have different activities such as playing with balls or giving treats. There are two outdoor sessions per day, one from 5pm to 7pm and the next at 8pm to 10pm.
This is a nice doggy theme park. Everyone can play around with lots of nice and friendly Husky dog, Alaskan dog, Samoyed dog, Chiba dog, Akita dog, Bomei dog. This is no longer a pet's cafe, but it's a place for you to play around with all these doggy, and take photo with them, and feed them as well. Session 1 at ground floor, cost RM28/person, last for 1 hour, then you are eligible to enter session 2 at 1st floor, at special price of RM10/person, last for 30 minutes.

I was totally excited when i see the group of huskies rushing into the room. They were all so well groomed, intelligent, naughty and yet craving for attention at all times ( that's if you have dog biscuits in your hand). The place can be accessed quite easily using Grab transport services. Love this place 😍
Jiak Papa — Google review
It is a very nice place to relax and chill with doggies. They have a lots of husky over here, you can play with them and enjoy touching fluffy husky over here. They also have a separated session for other doggies which u can add on after the husky session.

Doggo heaven. Stampede of so many Huskies, and a Samoyed ! They will only come to you if you give treatos though, which can be bought there- 2 packets for RM 4. Followed by the Akita, pom, Shiba and husky puppies, which you get to carry ♥️ Get ready to be slobbered on and covered in floofs. No shoes inside so best to wear slippers. Can also take an organized picture with the doggos for RM 18 (+10 for digital copy).

They have limited time slots for each session. Check with them before you decide to walk in and wait long. The Huskies are very well trained and are very obedient. They're good with kids too. You can buy some treats and the trainers will guide you on how to properly feed them. The moment the Huskies see you with a treat packet in your hand, they'll swarm you and some would even place their paw on you to get your attention. You can pet them, hug them and cuddle them. I love how their fur smells good like they just finished grooming.

I recently visited The Huskitory and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality by the staff. The space is beautifully designed, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. But the real stars of the show, of course, are the huskies! The dogs are all well-trained, well-behaved, and clearly well-loved by their caretakers. It was such a joy to spend time with them and watch them play and interact with each other and with the visitors. The Huskitory is more than just a place to see and pet some cute dogs, though. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable about the breed and are happy to answer any questions you might have. They also offer a range of services, from grooming to training, that are clearly designed with the well-being of the dogs in mind. Overall, I can't recommend The Huskitory highly enough. Whether you're a dog lover, a fan of huskies in particular, or just looking for a fun and unique experience, this is the place to go. Thank you to the staff for creating such a special place and for taking such great care of these wonderful dogs

First Huskies gallery in Malaysia and located in Melaka. More than 15 Huskies around and play with you. Like this place a lot. Really good organized and staffs are all good and nice. Covid period, better early pre-book, because one day only have 5-6 section and each section only 25 person allow to enter.

For dog lover, YES THIS IS THE PLACE you should visit! Big big husky will melt your heart when you touch them❤️😍 you can hug them, snap photo with them, feed them. Is truly an amazing and exciting experience for me and my son.

Visiting the husky pet cafe was an unforgettable experience! These majestic dogs create an incredibly warm and joyful atmosphere. The cafe is thoughtfully designed to provide a comfortable and playful environment for both visitors and the adorable huskies. The staff's dedication to the well-being of the dogs is evident in their interactions and care. From cuddles to playtime, every moment spent there is a true delight. If you're an animal lover, this cafe is a must-visit haven that will leave you with a heart full of happiness and cherished memories.

I wanted a different experience for my kids. Initially, I felt it was quite pricey and I left the place feeling that it was all worth it. Staff were very service orientated to ensure all visitors get some time with their fav dog. They were quick to react and always keep a lookout for playful dogs who can be more active than the rest. Overall, I'll do this again when I come to Melaka.
Serene Tan — Google review
Oh my goodness the dogs are so adorable and well trained! I do not think they are harsh to them as some of the reviews mention as I’m pretty sure the dogs are more than happy. I can see they are very well taken care of! It may be pricey for locals but it is understandable. It is not cheap to take care such big dogs, at such volume. Grooming, vet fees, ac all adds up.

A great place to hang out with the Huskies on the lower floor. Huskies are friendly, approachable, playful and with high energy. Advance booking is advised. For dog lovers who prefer the calmer behavior, Inus on the higher floors loves cuddles and hugs.

A place for dog lovers. A 1 hour session with a group of huskies which you can pet or take photos with them. You may also purchase some biscuits and feed the doggies. At the end of the session you can choose to take a picture together with the dogs for RM20. Overall a nice and clean place. The dogs are also clean and quite well trained. You have to contact them to book a slot and make payment to confirm your visit.

It's a double storey corner converted to Huskitory. You can park car at the roadside. We went on Thursday morning 11am by advance booking , cost RM35 per pax. Please be on time if you don't want to miss the huskies entrance. There were another couple with us on that session only so it is not as crowded as weekend. The huskies are very cute, and let us hugging and cuddling them. We bought 3 small pack of dog treats, cost RM5 and feed the huskies and they loved it and keep surrounded you. The 2 dog caretakers are friendly too and will put the huskies on your lap and let you take photos with the huskies. The 1 hour session is truly fun and enjoyable. Last session is photo session with huskies line up at the front. It's optional cost RM55 for 1 photo with frame, we took the photo session and it really worth it as the photo is super nice. Highly recommended for adults and teenager group. Parent need to pay extra attention if bring babies and small kids.

I loved this museum, the artifacts on display, the photos, the jewelry and to top it of we had an excellent guide! She is passionate about her history and was very informative. Being able to take pics and touch some exhibits really made this a wonderful experience!! Highly recommended!!!

This is the best museum that I ever been to. The guide also amazing, she explained a lot of history in an interesting way. You can take pictures as many as you like. Definitely worth the money

Great little museum, 15MYR for a guided tour. It's also more than just jewelry, it's an old Baba Nonya house built in long Dutch style. Definitely worth a look. There are also toilets at the back. Most of the jewelery is upstairs in an air conditioned area which is quite a nice break from the heat. Go and have a look!
M Bryant — Google review
The entrance fee included tour guide service. Wendy is very knowledgeable, friendly and homorous. All the lady staffs are friendly. We learned not only straits Chinese jewellery, but also Baba Nyoya culture, tradition, history and more. Photography is allowed.

Reasonably nice house come museum which costs 15 ringitt to enter. There seems to be english, Chinese and Malay tour guides which show people around this museum. Even though it states it's Jewellery, it's more about daily life. You can also take photos here.

The tour guide really helpful. She could talk about the history of baba and nyonya to any visitor.

The heritage museum Baba Nyonya is a place that celebrates the cultural and historical blending of Chinese and Malay cultures which is known as Baba Nyonya. It features a variety of crafts, furniture and paintings from the two cultures that have come together to make this unique form of Malaysian life. The museum offers a snapshot of the lives and history of the local Chinese Malays people in one location.
Must-visit when you are in George Town. Stanley, who does the English-speaking tours is a rockstar. He explains everything with humour and personality. Extremely interesting era and heritage that is being conserved here. You can get lost in there for hours, just beautiful and unique. I highly recommend coming by and getting a tour with Stanley, what a lovely man.

Museum was clean and well maintained. Guided tour are available depends on the time of the day but it wasn’t available when we got there, but the information book was informative enough for us. RM 16 charge was money well spent, we learnt quite a bit whilst there. There’s signs clearly say don’t touch the antique items but sadly seems the signs were still ignored by some visitors. There was insufficient staffs to enforce any kind of control. People really need to respect these historic items to preserve them for our future generations..

A gem not to be missed if you are in Melaka. This is a step back in time, thought provokingly in regards to the colonial past of Malaysia. Sometimes, beyond unassuming façades there is an impressive residence. We particularly enjoyed seeing the kitchen. It brought us closer to people that worked and lived there. As with most museums in Melaka make sure you have cash to pay for the tickets.

Every thing here is just stunning! To be honest, I have never seen such a magnificent residential home in China. Everything is so well-preserved that it feels like time has stood still. The current owner still takes care of this residence, and inside, along with its intriguing architecture and beautiful interior, there are stunning pieces of furniture worth seeing. It's a part of Chinese history and represents the cultural wealth that the Chinese have created and preserved outside of China. The visit is consistently awe-inspiring and impressive. I was fortunate to meet the heir and current owner of the ancestral home and have a conversation with them. Such museum homes are quite common in Southeast Asia, especially in Malaysia. I hope to have the opportunity to visit and compare them with those in other places.

It’s an interesting place to study about Baba and Nyonya life. It’s a big house, every single inch is remarkable and so precious. So much to see and captured. Highly recommended to children and adults who loves peranakan.

Privately-owned museum that shows beautiful artifacts of Chinese noble descendants which adopted the Malays culture. I love how they keep the old building beautiful with its solid teak floorings and airy courtyard. Their nicely aired interior definitely makes a nice option to spend time learning history during blazing Melaka afternoon.
Amy Springrose — Google review
The interior is beautiful and they provide you with an in-depth insight on the historical ways of the owners of the house. It's almost transports you back to a certain place in time. Overall a good place to visit if you live around the area or you're travelling.

A well reserved Peranakan house, interior is luxury and clean, a place to learn a bit knowledge of Baba & Nyonya. Entrance fee cost RM18 per pax , no reservation required during weekday. A self guide book will hand over and you can walk around the house by following the guide book. It is not really a museum but you may learn few things from the journey to this heritage house.

This is an excellent museum dedicated to a wealthy family in Melaka. Each room was exquisitely preserved or portrayed a story from the lives of the family. Although there is currently restoration of the kitchen going on, you can still see into the area they are working on. It’s a must visit while in the area. I learned so much about the culture!
Lisa Baker — Google review
A must-go place if you're visiting Malacca. This place is so beautiful that it's hard to believe someone lived here 200 years ago. There is a guided tour by staff, and self-guided tour by book. Unfortunately when we went there wasn't a guided tour, but the staff was very professional in briefing us before we enter. The house is beautiful, most of the items here are original and really beautiful. Walking through, you feel like you've travelled back in time, just imagine what it was like to live here. The items are clean, refurbished, and it didn't feel like things were fake or replicas. Unfortunately too, we came at the wrong time of year as the kitchen was undergoing some restoring so we couldn't see it. Highly recommended for history buffs, and also for the family to walk through history together.
Ashley Matthew Teo — Google review
There wasn’t a proper guide and much information provided in the museum. It’s great to have local private museums to educate the community on the rich Peranakan heritage. However, felt like much more can be done to make the history come to life.
Junius Sim — Google review
Have had a wonderful time exploring and understanding this heritage as passed down from the early babas and nonyas. Very well maintained and preserved exhibits and artifacts which are passed down from generations to generations. Watch out for the floor tiles, the well carved (well maintained too!) doors, furnishings, decorative displays, paintings and photos and the various daily utensils for eating and cooking. Friendly host informed on what to do and not to do (and where to sit and not sit) through booklet which was returned after visit. The stairs and steps to 2nd level has its own designs to behold and admire too. Amazing place, worth the time taken to visit and spent like 2+ hours there. Parking is really tricky at this place but the staff there mentioned there is a parking place with $3RM for whole day behind a particular block. Need parking coupons otherwise.

We’re from Taiwan and love this museum since it shows lots of history and reserves the antiques very well. Highly recommend to come and learn the whole history of Baba and Nyonya. Remember to look into the details for some of the stuffs and you’ll found some surprising things.

1. Available in English and Chinese. No guided tour. They provide you with a booklet to read the history of house history. 2. It is an interesting place to learn more of baba and nyonya. 3. There's no AC btw but it's not too stuffy as there's fan in every room. 4. Would recommend to anyone who wanna know more of the culture.

This Baba Nyonya Museum is worth a visit! When you step inside, you will feel how the people lived in the olden days. If you have watched 小娘惹 from Mediacorp Singapore, you will know what I am saying! Besides, I personally love the British Architecture shophouse built within British Malaya era (now aka Malaysia and Singapore), stepping inside feels like travelling through time, it's not just an antique or a relic, it's our ancestor memories. Their descendants have conserved and preserved the shophouse with their effort. Must visit to feel and experience the past!

Very interesting visit, without a guide. Staff lend an explicative brochure wich you and there are some information on small boards here and there. The old house is well restaured and the ancient furniture still look to wait for the owner's family.

Visiting the Baba Nyonya Heritage Museum is an enriching experience that offers insight into the lives of wealthy Baba Nyonya people from a century ago. The meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship evident throughout the entire house left us in awe. The collections displayed inside the museum provided a fascinating glimpse into the culture and heritage of the Baba Nyonya community. However, the absence of a tour guide detracted from the experience as we were left wanting for more information about the premises. Nonetheless, despite this drawback, the museum is definitely worth a visit for anyone interested in delving into the rich history and traditions of the Baba Nyonya culture.

At the Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum, I was captivated by the rich cultural similarities to Chinese heritage. Exploring the kitchen, I noticed familiar utensils and furnishings. It's a nostalgic journey that beautifully reminisces about the bygone era, offering a glimpse into the past that resonates deeply.

An unique museum of Baba & Nyoya in Melaka. Bit different & smaller than Penang one. It is according to family background and cultural. Book as guide borrowed as guide during tour inside museum. It will be nicer if guided tour available, as the ticket quite expensive.

The Melaka Straits Mosque, located on an artificial island in the Strait of Malacca and overlooking the waterway, is a dramatic modernist structure. Construction of the mosque cost around RM10 million and was officiated by Malaysia's then-Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail in 2006. The mosque is a floating structure that is elevated above the water when the tide is high.
Very beautiful mosque. Very calm and love the windy feel at the balcony. Please wear proper attire to respect the prayer place. I think also not proper to bring food even you can watch sunset here because this is mosque and we want this place to be clean for muslim to pray and the tourist.

Nice peaceful place to see calm sea and spend me time. Mesmerising. Only if u want to visit mosque from inside or its outside premises you have to follow dress code. Fully covered and its described on gates for both genders. Outer areas along beach are free to roam around as u please.

I suppose non Muslim can pay a visit. When u drive in there is a mini market where u can buy ice cream there. The mosque is nice, the sea also very clean, but u can’t fish here. There is a dressing code here too, just don’t too short or too expose since anyhow is a place for pray, should pay some respect

Beautiful! The view of the Malacca Strait is nearly 180 degrees. Simply take a 10-minute drive from Central Melacca (start at 5:30) and wait for the mosque to light up. *PARK INSIDE THE MOSQUE!*

Beautiful mosque by the water. Get covered up with robes, head cover for women and wrap for men. The ladies are nicer and more flexible than some of the other mosques we've visited. If you have a long sleeve shirt and long skirt or pants, you can skip the robe.

Visited here because of the attraction of the mosque above the sea. It doesn't disappoint me since the place has a peaceful atmosphere and nice scenery. I didn't plan to go inside, just dropped by and witnessed the beautiful structure here. There is a stall selling snacks like ice cream and cold drinks. The time I went there was hot weather. Suggestion to visit during sunset as you can view the beautiful lighting of the mosque.

A nice and calming place for you to visit even for non Muslim. You can visit this mosque and they provide a covering clothes. Best if you come with proper attire (long blouse and pants/skirt). The sea view is just the best. My go-to mosque every time I go to Melaka. Mosque is big and clean. Really recommend to come here

Beautiful masjid constructed on water as a floating structure. The place is closed for the visitors during the prayers and make sure you plan your visit accordingly to avoid disappointment. This masjid is very popular among tourists to click pictures at the sunset time. The best place to watch the lights turning on is from left shore side of the masjid. If you walk next to the masjid plot, you will see private property entrance where the guard charge you indirectly by getting you purchase water bottle for 3RM each which is a shortest you can see the full view of the masjid. You will find other tourist entered from other side too. Hence it is not exclusive at all, rather just short cut to reach the shore. The masjid is lit up at sunset and looks beautiful. The inside is also very nice. The toilets are cleaned regularly, wudhu area is open and at the entrance of the masjid. If you are wearing shorts, then you must cover at the entrance main gate even if you are going in for prayers.
Ravish M — Google review
This is currently closed but if you are creative you can get some photos by following a small track before you get to the main gate. The track will take you to a small beach, turn right clamber over a few rocks and there it is...

I give 3 stars since the mosque is under construction and there’s some few safety hazards and risks present for people to walk around the mosque which can be dangerous.. while I was walking down, I saw some girls almost tripped over a chain on the no parking sign inside the compound which people can get injured if aren’t careful example.. But apart from that, Alhamdulillah it’s a well maintained mosque but needs to be more safe for people to come for prayers and tourist. Honest review
Nik Akmal — Google review
Closed on public holidays I guess We went on Christmas Day but it was closed Nice looking place but people say the island is cursed as other than the mosques no other building projects can sustain there We also saw massive new projects abandoned Very sad

The heritage museum Villa Sentosa in Kampong Morten, Malacca, Malaysia is a beautiful living-history museum that depicts life in an early 20th century wealthy home. The exhibits from the 1920s period include an old Quran (Koran), antique Chinese ceramics, and a royal certificate from King George V. Tour guides are available to explain the items on display and allow you to gain a greater understanding of them. The museum is open daily from 9am to 3pm.
Love the grandeur, classic Malay house that's well maintained for 100 years. The owner took us around the house and explained its history. He did ask for minimum RM20 for donation by the end of the tour. Well, this is a private home which they've to maintain by themselves and also assist visitors. So why don't we just contribute for a good cause?

We struggled to find the right house as there is no sign, but actually Google map is correct. If the owner is busy, you just go inside and walk around until he is free. We had a nice chat with him, and knowing about the history of the house, the village and the family is interesting. We haven't seen such Malay houses anywhere else, so totally recommend it. We left a small donation at the end.

Villa Sentosa is the biggest Malacca traditional house situated in Kampung Morten which is at the center of Malacca. This place can be viewed from the Malacca River Cruise and is very pretty during the night as the lights from the houses can be seen from afar. When you go inside the building a friendly and helpful guide will show you around the house which holds many traditional household items from the time the village was first built. You will find the visit very nice as the guide is interactive and will answer any questions that a visitor may have. Visitors are very welcomed by the people there. This living museum will be very worthwhile for anyone who loves to have an experience and interactive tour of a traditional Malacca house.

I loved this house and a beautiful 87 year old lady, 'Fathima'. House is still maintained the same way it was over 100 yrs back. Theres no entry fee nothing, but one can donate in a box like kept outside, it's totally worth it. I spent a lot of time & the house exudes positivity & warmath. A peek into the olden life & living. Beautiful maintained & such a warm personality. I only decided to come out coz I didn't wanted to tire Fathima by talking. She has bit weak present memory, she remembers past though, like in most old age phenomena .Yet, a very charming personality. I loved her & her beautiful archaic home. Love love love.

Restaurant
Capitol Satay Celup Restaurant is a new partnership between the old Bukit Cina satay stall and Capitol Satay (formerly known as Bukit Cina Satay). The new location is conveniently located near the Majestic Theatre. You can still expect delicious skewers and a glorious pot of spicy peanut sauce at this popular restaurant.
I haven’t eaten satay celup in like the longest of times and didn’t know that Capitol Satay has moved to Kota Laksamana. Place wasn’t packed on a weekday night and we pretty much had most of the restaurant to ourselves. I certainly liked that there were more food choices now and that each table have their own fresh pot (yes they make the sauce in front of you). That would alleviate any concerns one might have about sharing pots with other diners (which happened in the past). Also remember that Lok Lok pretty much operates the same way where everyone shares the pot when it’s at the truck. Still, it brought back memories especially the taste. Overall I would go back and enjoy eating there again.
Mark Leo — Google review
After two years of didn’t come back from overseas was very keen to tryout the old taste of Capitol Satay. When I was at oversea, I heard this shop is closing down due to the brutality of covid and was very sad because I was born a Malaccan, our childhood wouldn’t be complete without this shop. And my brother told me this shop finally survived because investor came into the rescue. Today I went to this shop and it caught me by surprise because now I know they charge like hot pot too. Now before you start taking any satay, you are told that a Satay hotpot cost Rm20. Last time it was free, maybe the investor advise them that you should not bear this cost anymore, let the consumer bear your cost. I was really sad that this happened, it couldn’t stand being categorised as “hotpot” as well. Nonetheless, me and my family (my parents in their 60s) also went on to try the satay expecting the same taste. Guess we were really wrong, the sauce didn’t taste the same, it was a bit bitter and we told the waitress or the boss. But they didn’t seem to care at all. So I don’t really know how to recommend my friends to even come and support this shop anymore. Please be sincere to your loyal customers, if your taste continue to be like this it will be your downfall. Just a matter of time.

Place is clean and pot is hygiene. Pay for the new sauce @ RM25 but the taste is not good. Long stick @ RM1.30 still acceptable but the short stick is RM3. 00 with only one or two small pieces on it. The worst is the steel stick which coast RM10 per stock 😭 Can't feel the Melaka hospitality from this shop.
Donald Goh — Google review
Unique business model of customer now needing to buy a new pot of satay sauce for RM20. Satay sticks ranges from RM1.30, RM3.00, RM5.00 to plates of vegetables and miscellaneous costing RM5 to RM10. Tastes ok, not too sweet nor salty but slightly more spicy for me. Due to high cost, would be my last time here.
H. Yeo — Google review
They charge rm20 for a new pot but you don’t have an option to not change it as it is compulsory. Personally i think it could be an option for the customers whether to change a new pot or not. The choices were okay but the satay sauce was not as good as before for me personally. Price was a little on the high side but the shop is comfortable.
Yee Xien — Google review
Capitol Satay is one of the best Satay Celup in Melaka that offers pot sauce to change for hygiene purposes. Able to watch how they poured the grinded peanuts into the hot pot. No matter how good the sauce, the food selection is crucial, fresh or not very subjective. My favourite were kangkung vege and fried bean curd skin. Personally liked here vs BLH.
c wj — Google review
Went to their new shop. Was surprised it was empty with hardly any customers. Portion per skewer has shrunk considerably, hence that speaks why it is no long the satay celup place to go. Plenty of other options available in Melaka.
Vincent Chui — Google review
Disappointed. Expensive, not worth the money. Not only do we need to pay per stick, we have to pay for the sauce (which isn't fantastic anyways) The staffs didn't even bothered to help add sauce/water when our pot is left than 1/2 left.
Roland Tay — Google review
one of the famous "satay celup" in Melaka, because I was only traveling for a few days, the taste for me was just normal. the vegetables and “satay satay” in the refrigerator are not very fresh but the sauce is delicious.
Cici Anggraeni — Google review
Supper time i expect 80% full, but it only 2 tables when i reached. The sauce is not as good. The taste too intense till I can’t taste any “satay peanut taste”, a little bitter still can be tasted even though it cover by the sweetness of sugar. RM20 for the sauce base, $1.30 for long stick which only 1-2 pieces. $3 for short stick (ham) I wont come back anymore.
AiMee Tan — Google review
The new branch from the previous legendary shop in Bukit Cina is in a different location all together. Air-conditioned, clean and ample parking space. There’s now a RM20 charge for the peanut sauce - i think it is fair because the give you a completey new sauce in a container. There are alot of skewer options - and they’re RM1.30 each. Except for special food. But overall, not too expensive for the whole experience. Can chat with friends. However, we weren’t told how long to cook the soup, or how to scoop it so the peanuts and spices dont sink to the bottom (something we learned only at the end of the meal). There were only 2-3 tables occupied, and 2-3 workers at the dining area, but none were interested to service us - at least tell us to mix the gravy or something. 🤷🏻‍♂️ So the gravy was very watery for us throughout the meal, and we kept wondering why it wasnt chunky and rich like the previous. The meat on sticks were great tho. Prawns were also fresh. Mantou was horrible 🤣 ✨ Overall Score: 5.5/10 ✨ ************************ Can Eat One Mehhh??? Not sure. Well the skewers were great, the gravy was not - partly because we didnt stir/ scoop it from the bottom. Well 🤷🏻‍♂️ we weren’t advise to do so. So, if they’re not interested to serve, i’m not interested to eat here.

Wanted to follow up on this field report for the visit made on 07 Apr. Capitol Satay has been a legendary name for those who grew up in Malacca. Long never tried but not that bad. Not as spicy as original and taste wise, i would say still quite good. Our thoughts are, name is same, but owner changed already. Sauce - yes, they charge RM20 for new pot, force selling. There is another famous outlet where charges RM30. So RM20 sounds cheaper. At RM20, the amount of peanuts and spice is tons. Food - yes. range from 1.30, 3.00 and 10. Expensive? I felt quite ok. Other place probably sell all 1.30 and more ex food also sell higher. My other review of another place sells at RM1.00, comparatively, that outlet portion is slightly small. Drink - we ordered coke, 100plus, was RM2.80 ( i think), the other cheaper one is rm3, and some other place probably like rm3.50~4. Left over sauce tapao - we tapao back the sauce and they put in thick plastic bag, no extra charges. My mum told me she split into 3 small containers, all still filled with tons of nuts. The other famous outlet that charges rm30 per new pot, told us to tapao back, they have containers that is rm2 per container. Conclusion. They may “look expensive”, in general, out of the previous i reviewed and another popular one at OKW road, i still prefer the sauce at this outlet. Lastly, this place has indoor aircon and outdoor, much much cooler as compared to their old location.

I like it being more cleaner here, with air-cond and most importantly the broth is thick with loads of peanut and very aromatic herbs and spices, adopting a non-reuse concept... paying RM20 for a new pot of broth is cheap, especially some out there even charged RM30! This is good as it's mix in infront of you and you are welcome to take the balance broth back for another session of luk luk at home 😅 New manager Samuel is really helpful and friendly, additional partner but still same owner l saw the Chinese lady boss.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Jonker Street Night Market is a popular attraction in Melaka that takes place on Friday thru Sunday evenings. It's packed with food and souvenirs, as well as entertainment, making it a great place to spend a night out.
Nice place for late night walk, but food/souvenirs are kind of pricy, as expected of a tourist spot. Overall, it has a nice ambience and many shops are open despite MCO greatly affecting the shops in 2020. Would recommend to take a stroll for the beautiful view and historical architecture.

This is one crazy place. So many people and so much activity. I like the fact that you have so many unique stalls selling all sorts of stuff including all kinds of foods. Pretty much overwhelmed in a good way as I was kinda excited to see so much. The best part is seeing everyone from sellers to buyers having a great time......which has to be a place for side hustles to thrive. It's also within other tourist attractions in town. A wonderful Melaka drawcard for tourists and locals alike. Will definitely come back again.

This is the most famous street in Melaka. It is crowded like you will be loose with your friends. Many street foods. Nice to walk around but a bit tiring. ☺️ Monitor lizard is at the river. So cute!!!

Well this is one of the happening night market in Malacca. Many food and beverage choices, nice souvenirs all along the street. A good spot for Seafood lover. Just a tips is, please check the price before you purchased.. I spend RM12 for a bottle of ice coke.. Is shocked seriously, cheers

What a great tourism, night lights and overall wonderful celebration to Chinese New Year. The colours smells and sights are worth looking at. Also had the best Laksa Nan Yang style in a small market off the side of Yonker street. Tourist and locals join to unite. Had no issues with personal safety.

Good collection of snacks, trinkets, gadgets & other novelty items. Can be hot, so please dress according to weather, bring water & fan. Easy to find using maps, plenty of parking spaces by the roadside (make sure you park responsibly)
Eti Farah Zainudin — Google review
A paradise for food lovers. The night market opens on weekends in the evenings. Quite a lot of cafes and small restaurants line the street but the night market experience is the best. You can shop for knick knacks on the streets while enjoying an impressive variety of snacks. The lanes get very crowded as night progresses, so visiting with kids is a little tricky.

Not worth to go for visit anymore. A lot of repetitive stall which selling the same thing / food, for example, the jelly ball, at least 6 stalls which own by same boss. The 龙须糖 also easily more than 5 stalls, all is not authentic or Malacca-related food, it just a normal night market as we can found everywhere in KL.

Lively night market and a lot of food being sold here. Love the vibes and the food too! Recommend trying the fried potatoes slices on a stick, Jonker 88 for their famous laksa, and the yogurt ice cream shaped like an egg

In the historic heart of Melaka, Jonker Street Night Market unfolds like an animated tapestry of color, flavor, and sound each weekend, specifically on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. This isn't just a market; it's an extravaganza that captures the diverse cultural essence of Melaka. When the weekend rolls around, Jonker Street transforms into a lively bazaar, making it a must-visit event if you're in town. The market is a treasure trove for bargain hunters and collectors alike. Stalls burst with a variety of goods, from vintage trinkets and handmade crafts to cutting-edge fashion and accessories. The eclectic mix serves as a testament to Melaka's rich history, where Chinese, Dutch, Portuguese, and native Malay influences seamlessly intertwine. But it's the food that often steals the show. The air is thick with the aroma of local delicacies, from succulent satay skewers to delectable Nyonya dumplings. Whether you're an adventurous eater willing to try exotic flavors or someone seeking the comforting taste of traditional Malay dishes, your culinary desires will be more than satisfied. And let's not forget the entertainment. Spontaneous performances often erupt at street corners—buskers strumming guitars, puppeteers enchanting children, and sometimes even full-fledged concerts that get the crowd dancing. This unique blend of entertainment contributes to the electric atmosphere, making each visit a new and exciting experience. Jonker Street Night Market is not just a marketplace; it’s the pulsating heart of Melaka. Open exclusively on weekends, it's a space where locals and tourists converge to experience the city in its purest form. Don't consider your trip to Melaka complete without immersing yourself in the sensory spectacle that is Jonker Street Night Market.
Amin Rochdi — Google review
Bustling night life street which only happens on certain days of the week and when you don't arrive on those days then the aroma of handmade goodies and other traditional stores will lure you in. Immerse yourself in the Malaysian cultural heritage and treat yourself to artisan craft both for the eyes, mouth and ears! Great for people wishing to enjoy Malaysian traditional snacks and food that jonker has to offer, also amazing for people that have interest in antiques. Seemingly easy for people with mobility issues to move around, crossing the road maybe an issue sometimes and roads are congested mostly. Walkways are 2m wide and unable to accommodate wheelchair during bustling night life weekends but normal afternoons is plenty walk space. Authentic snacks and antique gifts are a must buy

Good walking and shopping streets to buy souvenirs for friends.Even we already go a few times but is never boring to go visit again. The temple here must go pray because is very efficacious.

Great for soaking in the ambience. Good mix of the more hipster stuff like popcorn and bubble tea, and the traditional stuff like herbal tea and local cuisine. Lots of repeats though and really long queues.

The Vibe, Energy and Ambiance. This place is amazing. If you like night markets then this place is the place to be. Only opens on weekends but if you are going to Melaka you should definitely visit. It is crowded and definitely hot. I recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes. The place is filled with amazing food and local items. Make sure you bring enough cash on hand if you are planning to splurge. We will definitely comeback to this place.
Rjros Macalalad — Google review
Opens only on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This night market is pretty long. This night market starts from around 6 pm. From this timing, there will be many stalls starting to set up. Most of the stalls sell repeatitive stuff. Didn't manage to buy a lot of stuff. Food choices are also quite limited. Like most night markets around the world.
Sean Goh — Google review
The day time and the night time were so different in the cool way. I really like the old buildings here. They are very amazing.
Yu-Ching (Frances) — Google review
Way more fun now that there are more vendors out though there are a lot more food stalls with some repetition throughout. Always nice to see what is new - mango smoothies, dragon beard candy and lots of Thai tea and korean street food options. Definitely worth a visit though Parking is very challenging. I'd suggest Parking further out and just walking into Jonker. Saves you money, you get exercise AND you skip the jam coming in and going out. Checkout some of the cafes and stores for respite from heat, noise and people.
Nicholas Lee — Google review
Place was buzzing with activities even though we came early and saw vendors started setting up stalls. The market covers the entire street, packed with many interesting stuff as we walked along browsing what was on offer. Lots of tourist around as expected but the experience was overall a nice one as traverse along with the crowd.
Andrew Ang — Google review
Love the atmosphere here at night. There are beca rides for 25 ringgit, scooters and local hawkers that sell food and drinks. You should check out the coconut ball stall where he cuts the coconut meat from the coconut with its water still inside of the coconut meat. Very cool.
Muhammad Omar — Google review
During the weekend nights, Jonker Street Night Market comes alive with a bustling market atmosphere. The market is a must-visit for those looking to experience the rich culture, delicious food, and vibrant atmosphere of Melaka. It's a great place to immerse oneself in the local scene and enjoy the historical surroundings.
Zongle — Google review
A must-visit on your list when in Melaka. Probably the most bustling stretch of streets at the heart of this city when the night market “activates” on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Full of awesome authentic street food, drinks, fancy accessories/toys, local snacks, clothings, and even tattoo services. There are a couple of lanes across the entire area, no particular theme per se but you do get similar items repeated at different vendors, does get boring after awhile but regardless it’s an area which is not exceptionally extensive so you get to cover majority of it within 1-2 hours on average. Store owners are really friendly and can communicate well. Most stalls only accepts cash payments. Not much haggling allowed. All in all a wonderful experience soaking in the local culture amidst attractive lights, food aroma and live music at some corners.

this place holds a lot of good memories. very nostalgic and i will never get tired of it. always go here with my friends and family. there's a lot of street foods, jewelleries, stones, juices, clothes or even some random antic home decorations. some shops don't allow u to take photos for some reasons 😅
Syafi Daniel — Google review
Pretty great experience. Not too long of a market, enough to keep you interested but not so long that you feel overwhelmed and too tired to do the whole thing. Felt just about right in terms of distance. Plus there's things around the market to do if you find the marker itself is not enough. The food on offer is pretty good and enough variety to keep it interesting. Does get a little repetitive. Also other souvenirs and trinkets on sale too. Overall great vibe and well worth a visit.

Excellent place to visit. If you're looking for trendy crowds and multiple street stalls, this is the place to be. Market opens after 6pm. Just bring along an umbrella and thin plastic rain coat for the sudden heavy showers during December period."winter season" Food stalls are very cheap and foods are freshly prepared.

Crowded and busy on a Sunday night. Full of tourists like ourselves. 3 stars as we found the quality of the products less than standard. My daughter bought a pair of batik style pants that tore on her 1st use.

Give credit where credit is due! I must confess that Malaysian culture and hospitality is one of the best in the world. The Jonker Street Night Market..... wow wow wow 👌 A long, eventful walk it was. From the start to the end, adventure awaits you. You turn left and right several times because the eyes keep feeding on the beauty of culture. There are many street stalls to buy stuff from, especially souvenirs. It is the best place to eat whatever Malaysian food you can get your hands on; you must try the cendol, chicken rice balls, and oyster omelette. Then there's a watermelon feast that will quench your thirst. The list is endless. Should you get tired, visit any one of the many spas for a quick foot massage at a very affordable price. And do not leave Melaka without experiencing the trishaw ride, especially if you travel with kids. They will be blown away! Warning! Be ready to walk. Also, make sure you give this experience enough time.

Restaurant
The Capitol Seafood Longkang Siham is a popular seafood restaurant in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The restaurant features fresh and authentic seafood dishes, making it a perfect place to enjoy some local food with the locals. Durian cendol is a must-try dish at this restaurant, and it's also worth trying the seafood dishes like grilled squid or prawns.
We are the 1st customer when we arrive the stalk. Although it is located at the backlane but overall environment is consider clean. We try the Siham Big (normal), Lala, Lady Fingers and Tauhu Rojak, all are super delicious and I love it so much. The dipping sauce comes with shrimp paste, peanut and lime juice is perfectly blend with all the food. Food although is simple yet delicious. Highly recommended!

Saw a few stalls nearby yet to re-open. This is the only stall that still survive during this covid 19 pandemic situation. Overall we order most of their signature dishes in the menu . Definitely must try the oyster omelette which the stall helper can help to order from the next stall.

First time here. Seafood not bad. Can taste the freshness. Portion and price also decent. Finally got to sit on a low table and wooden stool to bring me back to the olden days eating style. Cleanliness can be improved of course. But you can’t expect much when you’re dining at a back alley. Side tip: the fried oyster from the first stall at the alley entrance is really good and tasty. Do give it a try!
EJ Pan — Google review
Located in the alley near the longkang... Super crowded during weekends, the crowd is there when it starts to operate. Definitely need to queue and wait but we were lucky to get a table during my visit but not sitting near longkang. Serving time is also a bit long, overall the food is okay. Pricing is also average. Hot is still an issue here.

Located in a small alley. Capitol is the biggest, brightest and cleanest stall here. The owner is a friendly guy. I opted to sit from in front of the kitchen bar counter to see the food preparation process. It started pouring heavily while we were eating and they started extending the automated shades! Price is affordable too.

Sitting on the chef table where all the action can be seen up close and personal. Ordered varieties of seafood as per the pix. One setback is some of it not as fresh as it used to be. I don't mind cmg back again due to the uniqueness. Total damages for this place is RM72

This shop located at back street. I came on 30/4 for dinner, it was so crowded, at least 2 hrs waiting. Some of the shell not fresh, the tomyam also has stink smell, the boss gave some discount. Overall taste is ordinary, not so impressed.

Unique dining experience for shellfish. Oysters were fresh and you can’t ask for more when it is only RM4 each. Cockles were cooked perfectly and goes really well with their dipping sauce. Their tofu rojak is a must try as it combines fried fritters and sweet savoury sauce topped with crushed peanuts. Good place for a light meal as the portions are small.
Carolyn Pak — Google review
The stall is located in the back alley along the longkang (small drain) as suggested by its name. Not that many dishes but enough to take you back in time where it is served simply(blanched) accompanied with a house-made sauce!

Nyonya restaurant
Restaurant
Nancy's Kitchen is a quaint and intimate nyonya restaurant located in the heart of Jonker Walk. Here, guests will enjoy classic Nyonya dishes served with professional service in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. While this restaurant is not as large as some others in the area, it is certainly worth checking out for its delicious food and perfect atmosphere.
Went there on Wed 4pm. Still need to wait for around 5 minutes to be seated. I think is considered short waiting time during this odd hour. Came here few times, not sure because too hungry, everything that we ordered were very delicious. Chendol was nice too, but a bit small. The steam lady finger was cooked nicely with the sauce that make the whole simple dish very nice. The portion for small family was just nice.

After long time, this is the first time dining here. Many people during weekend lunch hour. We ordered ayam ponteh, pai tee, nyonya laksa, sambal petai sotong. Overall food nice and acceptable spiciness. Food serving fast and price above average.

I used to frequent this joint when it was off jonker st. It has since moved to a bigger and nicer premises. First time trying it here. Expect to wait long if you are not early. Only a couple of dishes stood out. Ngoh hiang had a smooth texture and nicely spiced. Soup was interesting. Not the best I’ve had but still very good. Beef rendang was too tough. That’s a bummer. Buah Ayam keluah was not bad. But didn’t impress. Crispy squid was alright. Not the best. But this is not Nonya food. Nice overall but not impressed. But this is supposed to be one of the best so it’s still worth going to compared to many other Nonya restaurants.

The Most Memorizing Appetizer "Top Hat" from the Peranakan Restaurant- Nancy's Kitchen The aroma is heavenly, it is filled with very well-seasoned sliced turnips, omelettes, inside of deeply fried extremely crispy shells! The portion comes in an one-bite size that is so intimidating, making you crave and longed for more an more, and more! The way the dish is presented is unforgettable - like a beautiful flower fully blooming in spring. Pricing ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Flavour ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Presentation ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Other than that, the stir fry four-angled gourd is also very scrumptious and flavourful!
Miranda Chua — Google review
Much hyped but much to be desired. Nothing fantastic. Best dish we had was the Kueh Pie Tee. The crust was crispy with a nice crunch while the filling was flavourful. The Sayur Loday and Ayam Buah Keras was also nice. Was looking forward to the Gerang Assam fish but was most disappointed by it. The assam fish meat was not fresh, had a fishy taste and it was lukewarm when served.
Hui Juan So — Google review
I didn’t felt anything wow about the food. But the starter and Chicken rendang we enjoyed. The fried fish was quite bad to our taste considering it’s price, very bad! Laksa was fine. drink was little sugary. Service was just order taking and food serving, not much any recommendations or any other things. Better to book appointment for smooth dine in. walk in might need to Q long. Overall, I would not visit again.

Food and service is good. Seems like popular with tourist as well. Clean and comfortable place to eat. The server is good in introducing and recommending unique dishes to those unfamiliar with Peranakan cuisine. Good, will come back again when I am back in Melaka
Kevin Ong — Google review
We are Malaccan, we tried their food since they are still in Jonker street area, but somehow it’s very hard to queue or making a reservation when it’s open to tourist (before COVID) so we came here very early today, we walked in and we got our seats quite easily. We Ordered few things very uniquely available to the Peranakan community. First is the Cincalok Ulam(pickled little shrimp), and then the Jantung Pisang ( Heart of Banana). We also ordered Ayam Buah Keluak (Pangium / Buah Kepayang), I heard my mom said if you can order pork meat it’s even tastier and this applies to also Pongteh(Fermented Beans Pork). And last is chicken rendang. Overall the taste of the foods were great, however the food portion shrieked in size, I suppose this is normal if you don’t increase your price, you decrease your size portion. The chicken rendang is rather disappointing we thought it should come with more spices but it lacks or spice anyhow. This shop is equipped with credit card payment options, only Amex is not accepted. VISA and Master all boleh. Maybe because the food portion is small I think the value for money criteria was not 100%. But if you are new to these dishes, and just want to try, they are one of the finest in Melaka. Overall the damage for three person ordering these foods is about RM104. Not too expensive nor cheap.
Fc — Google review
Somehow I think this place is a bit overhyped. There are too many people blogging and reviewing about this place which is causing such a queue outside the restaurant. I arrived at 12 noon and queued for 90 minutes before I got a table. I would recommend anyone who wants to dine here to make reservations in advance. Kinda complicated with reservation queue and walk in queue, and people making reservations came late. I was 9th in the walk in queue and I waited 90 minutes, and in the meantime I could walk to collect my popiah and putu piring just a few blocks away. Finally got in, had to take orders before heading to the table. Once seated, it didn't take long for the food to arrive. Ordered a few of the recommendation from the staff, since some items we wanted to order were not available. I would say the food is okay not bad but not to the fantastic level. The food is nonya but I think the flavours were not rich enough, felt that the taste is more toned down. Surprisingly the dish I loved the most was the chap chai and not the meats. It was well cooked and the gravy was nice. The sek bak was disappointing as the meat was too tough for our liking. The soursop drink was also pretty tasteless not sure why, and the cendol took really long to come. We told 2 of the servers to serve the cendol and think they totally forgot about it. Only on the 3rd time one of the servers were serving dishes to another table I reminded him again then the cendol was served. A bit disappointed with the cendol as well, very rich in coconut but couldn't taste much of the gula melaka.

Authentic Nyonya Food with reasonable price and portion was decent but the food had some hit and miss. Good ones were the ayam rendang and bah pongteh, ayam buah keluak and pie tee not my taste. Recommend their Bak Sambal Timun (Pork in Salad Cucumber) too, sweet and sourly taste and will stimulate your appetize after few bites of Nyonya food. Remember to make reservation before pay a visit. It's always fully booked. Service quite fast even during peak hours and atmosphere quite nice.

Ordered kueh pai tee, kangkong cincaluk, babi pongteh, curry chicken, nasi goreng and chendol. Best dishes were probably the kangkong and nasi goreng. Was quite disappointed by the babi pongteh as the meat was either too dry or just fats (gelatinous and not the melt in your mouth type). As I tried 3 nyonya restaurants during my trip, i feel like you can get better nyonya food elsewhere.

We dined at level 2. Spacious and clean. Love the decor inside. Do take time to admire the lamps and decor when dining there! Kueh pie-tee was delicious! Not too oily and very flavourful. All the dishes tasted authentic! Take a look at the photos. :) Will be back again.

It’s crowded with tourist, but the food is pretty average, the price is slightly on the steep side. Curry is not bad, fried sotong is so so, cabbage is rather well seasoned and cook, soft and juicy. The fish tasted normal, or rather boring. Otah is great, filled with actual fish meat and nicely seasoned. Plenty of parking space in front of the restaurant as well.

place was very crowded and cramped, had to wait quite a while despite having a reservation. kueh pie tee and popiah exceeded expectations. although the popiah skin looked quite thick, it did not have any impact on the taste and was very delectable everything else was average at best. the asam curry was great but the fish was not fresh, was very bland and dry.

Ordered 3 main dishes. Otah otah and petai dishes were good. Chap chye is so so only. Overall i am satisfied. Will try other dishes if i happen to be at Malacca again.

You want good Nyonya food. Go to ATLANTIC. Not here. This restaurant used to be THE place to go but not anymore. Curries or dishes were watered down, not rich in texture and taste. Dishes were smaller and more expensive now. Had the ayam pongteh and ayam buah keluak. Both were disappointing. Watered down. Or too diluted. Sayur belacan serving was extremely small. Ikan lemak nenas, the fish most likely would have been Dory because thats what it tasted like. Anyway, this not the place to go to anymore for Nyonya in Melaka.

Revisited on 27/01/2024 with a party of 3. Initially we booked a table at 1.30pm and we arrived early at 12.30pm. The staff was willing to arrange a table for us since there was no queue. Pai Tee was appetizing. Ayam pongteh was very tender and well seasoned. Ordered pork buah keluak, not amazed by it. Buah keluak tasted like black beans to me. Sambal 4 angled beans was average. Buah long long with sour plum was so so.

Arrived around 1145am on a weekend. Nancy's kitchen seems to have a few levels of sitting space. Ground floor was already full by 1145am. Food was delicious. Enjoyed the pai tee very much; crispy and well balanced in flavors. Sup Hee piou bring back childhood memories. Chap chai was on the sweeter side. The sourness of Asam fish fillet helped as a platelet cleanser. Loved the buah keluaks but do take note that they are not apart of any dish and had to be added on individually. Overall a super yummy place will come back again

Dessert restaurant
The asian restaurant Jonker 88 is a popular spot in Malacca for its delicious food and cultural appeal. The eatery features an old-school vibe with vintage memorabilia, making it a perfect place to relax after a busy day of sightseeing. Highlights include the cendol, which is served cold and thick with gula Melaka (palm sugar) and coconut milk, and the selection of local delicacies.
They offer 3 different types of laksa 1. Nyonya Assam laksa 2. Nyonya Curry laksa 3. Nyonya Assam + Curry laksa Assam laksa for me is way too spicy, however it's so nice to eat, I'm just eat while sweating all over my body, totally worth it. The cendol they serve here is very good, although a bit pricey, overall with the taste is just nice.

Really long queue in front of, so we can try only cendol dessert. They use palm sugar sauce so that's make very nice sweet. But maybe too sweet for the one who don't like sweet.

(Translated by Google) It is a famous store and is especially crowded on weekends. This time, it was a weekday, so it wasn't that crowded. I've eaten Cendol here several times. However, although it is a famous restaurant, the Red Beans were not very tasty, and this time, the taste of Gula-Melaka was also lacking. It's not that bad, but it's a little disappointing.

Food looks great but it is too salty for consumption. Chicken was good but the sauce was too salty. If they won't change their way of cooking, it's hard to keep it going.

We were visiting Melaka for a couple of days. We discovered this place by accident while walking around town looking for a place to refresh. The ice kacang and cendol were very good. Just like how they should be made. My only complaint was the toilets. They were filthy. This is basic hygiene. I dragged the thought of the general food hygiene. It may be a one off unfortunate incident. Try the place for your yourself.

This restaurant located at Jonker Street. The place was so busy and we have to queue for our turn. Inside place is so aesthetic and give the old vibes. We have to self service by order our food and serve it ourselves. The food was flavourful and appetizing. Each of the laksa really thick flavour. Must try if you visit Melaka. The cendol so thick with the coconut flavour and tasty.

Great food, big portion and great value for money, nyonya laksa can be shared to 2 person, abit spicy, the durian cendol also so good, recommended! Bear in mind if on weekend there's will be a long line. If come on weekdays no problem at all hehe..

I'll admit when I found out about this place I thought to myself it's a tourist trap. Once I tried the Baba Laksa I was pleasantly surprised. The broth is lighter than any Laksa I ever had and yet it is extremely flavorful. Just the right amount of heat to it that you will sweat but won't burst into flames. The fried beancurd is excellent but the star is the dipping sauce that comes with it. I'm not 100% but it seems to use gula Melaka instead of sugar to make it and it has a distinct taste to it. Also had the taupok which is spongey and soaks up the broth as you eat it so it can burn your mouth if you're not careful. Ordering the baba Cendol really helps tackle the heat of the Laksa and everything else. They use fresh coconut milk and gula Melaka on it so they don't skimp on the flavors. I ate lunch here 2 days in a row coz this place made every eatery in a 1km radius seem extremely mediocre. The staff are a little firm if you don't follow their instructions and it can be a madhouse. I don't recommend parties larger than 4 as the seating is.. chaotic. Other than that I would recommend this be your #1 spot at least in the Jonker area.

5 stars! Definitely my favorite place in Melaka! There was a queue, but I wasn't bothered 'coz I was very excited to go back and eat cendol. This time I brought my parents. The guy organizing the customers even helped us to look for a better spot - thank you! As you come in, there is a nostalgic feel with the place, as it is surrounded by antique souvenirs, frames, and displays. The table we got has framed Bruce Lee behind me and it looked fantastic. The building is old, but the feeling isn't. It certainly brings you back to the old days of our grandparents in the rural areas. The food - I love the cendol! It really tasted authentic! This time, we ordered Nata de coco Durian Cendol, and Laksa. Both are highly recommended. The laksa was very spicy, but it had the aftertaste that is something so distinct, that will make you put more in your mouth. This is also a must try! If you visit Melaka, this place is a must, and make sure to grab their cendol and laksa. Tomorrow, we will be back for more!

Wow…the laksa was very good but the day we went it was exceptionally spicy 🌶️ . Didn’t know it will be this spicy but turns out on normal days it isn’t as bad. 100% recommend the fried fish cake which comes with this sweet and savoury sauce which was superb! would totally go back when im back in Melaka

(Translated by Google) I went on the advice of the hotel staff. I found out later, but it seems that it was quite a famous and popular store. In the end, it was so delicious that we went there two days in a row. So it might be a good idea to go and see how things go. The order system is very difficult to understand, but the flow is that you first go to the back of the store, talk directly to the person making the order, go back a little and pay. This area (the aisle in the center of the store) is very crowded because it is located in a position that ignores the flow of people. . . That may also be the reason why people line up outside the store. In addition, although it is located in the middle of a tourist area, it has a moderately dirty feeling (rude) that makes you feel like a local. The store clerk may be busy, but even if you think about it, they are kind. We ate Passion Fruit Ice, Mochi Mango Ice Shaven, and Babarakusa. Babaraksa is a coconut milk-based spicy dish that is unique to Southeast Asia, but it is delicious! To be honest, I don't really like this kind of seasoning, but I drank most of the soup here. And the shaved ice to eat afterwards is also delicious. I want you to sell it in Japan too. I can pay 2,000 yen. I feel a local feeling that I can't say anything about syrup. On hot days, I always think of this combination. I want to eat again.

Baba laksa is great with cendol But the queue is way too long Plus no shaded area at the queue, carrying umbrella under hot sun 9am had pancake breakfast at opposite cafe, still need to wait 1hr + for seats, maybe not worth it! (For person like me who gets mad when hungry!) opps

Came to try this place after many years, it’s even better than I remember! The Nyonya Cendol was soo Awesome! The gula melaka was so fragrant and the sweetness was spot on! The Nyonya Asam Laksa was so rich in flavour and very spicy n sour. It’s 1 of the best Cendol n Asam Laksa I found in Malacca. The owner was also very friendly and chatty. Will definitely come back here again!

Had a lunch here with my friends after having a rather tiring field trip. Quite a spicy and hearty noodles they have here. RM10.50 for a bowl of Baba Laksa (service tax not included), the price is actually pretty decent considering the portion and location of the restaurant. Would suggest you to takeaway instead if you dislike waiting for a table. 10/10 would come again when visiting Malacca.

Always crowded. The crowd is there for a reason right.. Everything is good here. I've been here numerous times, everytime we are in Melaka, this is a must place to visit. My girl was fascinated with the wall deco, like mini museum. It can be hassle to wait to have a seat especially during holiday season, self service..

Queue for a while, around 10 mins. Saw a lot of people queue up, thought how nice it is. Ended up full of disappointment. The so called “durian Chendol” was just durian Syrup, and no durian at all. With this mini size portion, it is bloody RM7 for normal Chendol. Not worth the money and time to queue up at all. Won’t come back and visit.

Still one of the best laksa in melaka, just slightly expensive. The gravy is thick and tasty. It is full of vege and beancurd. Cendol is tasty as well. Fast service, if you visit on weekday non peak hour. No queue. Be preparw to queue for more than 30 mins if you come on weekend.

Today - 8/9/2023 - Friday. My husband & I went to this Jonker 88 for their authentic Nyonya Laksa. And to try their Assam Laksa. The Nyonya Laksa was great, but the Assam Laksa was a bit too sour. Not only me who leave the unfinished Assam Laksa. The couple, sitting next to us. Also complained that Assam Laksa was too sour & tasteless. The Fishball and fried crispy fish beancurd roll was OK. I don't understand the big hubs about the dishes, and people were queuing up to get in. There are more choices of food & dishes along Jonker Street. Next time, I will go to others. Sorry. Wasn't too impressed with.

One of the more famous shops for Cendol on the touristy Jonker street. However, my honest opinion is that while the shop is nice and service is quick, the cendol is nothing to really rave about. The ice is not super fine and they need more gula Melaka topping. It is a good option while in Melaka, however it doesn’t even compare to Kwong Wah cendol in KL.

The atmosphere is nice take you back to time. The laksa & asam laksa taste hood but for my taste maybe a bit over ajinamoto.. and the drinks only ais kacang/ shave ice

a very famous eating place and always crowded with tourists. during the holiday season, this place always has a queue. but at non-peak hour, no queue. fast service, friendly staff here too. There are 2 different queues inside the restaurant, One for food and one for desserts. The laksa is very delicious! we tried three kinds of laksa: Baba Laksa and Nyonya Laksa Kawin, Nyonya Asam Laksa, Baba Laksa. Food portions are quite big. Cendol is tasty as well. 1. Nyonya Asam Laksa is a type of laksa that is sour and tastes spicier than other laksa with thick noodles. be careful with Nyonya Asam Laksa if you can't handle too much spice 2. Baba Laksa is a type of laksa with thin noodles and coconut milk soup, not as spicy as Nyonya Asam Laksa. 3. Baba Laksa and Nyonya Laksa Kawin is a combination of two types of laksa. creamy yet kinda spicy. if I go back on holiday to Malacca, I'll visit this place again, for sure.

Laksa with bean curd - RM15 Chendol - RM7 Overpriced in my opinion. Definitely for tourists. Taste is acceptable. Laksa wasn’t as nice as it used to be. Chendol can be given a miss. I used to come every year. I won’t be back again. Thanks for the memories.

The quality of food maintained. I enjoyed the Assam Laksa and Baba Laksa. Well-ventilated even though there was no aircon. Traditional ambience. Friendly and efficient service.

There is a queue for a reason. The food is good and the taste is special. You need to queue outside the shop and they will assign seats for you. Usually you will get seats within 20 mins despite peak period. For 1-2 paxs, usually you can skip the queue and share table with others. There are 2 different queues inside the shop. One for food and one for desserts. All except cashless payment or cash. However, for laksa, while they have different kind of noodles, they mentioned that we cannot mixed the noodles and only can pick one kind. This is pretty rigid. Chendol is definitely great here! Overall, for food, I will give it a 5-star, but service is 4.

Self service shop, employee there will guide to your table but you still need to queue to get food and drinks. The Asam laksa and the laksa nyonya is top notch. So flavourful, the shop is kinda small so not suitable for large family gatherings. It’s a very famous shop, need to queue all the time, menu is quite short. Pork free, and the ingredients are fresh. The Cendol durian is a bit of a downer coz they use durian paste.
