The place was very busy when we went there early Tuesday evening. But it didn't take long until we were ushered in to our seats. The food we ordered were delicious and nicely prepared. The price was also very reasonable. Moreover, the waitress that attended us was very friendly and helpful. I liked that staff wore traditional Javanese attire. How it could have been better: The music was too loud for my liking. To my consternation the restaurant only accepted cash. Overall, it is a place worth visiting when you are in Jogjakarta.

I'll say you can immediately feel the Javanese culture? from the entrance and it was crowded the last time I went there because this house of raminten is so viral and no wonder lots of people are trying it. Thankfully waiting for my queue was not so long. The food is actually just like another food in other places, but the point is the atmosphere which is not just like any other place.

Clean and fresh place where to enjoy a very high quality food by affordable prices. The menu is quite extensive with many Javanese recipes. (I only photographed few pages of the menu) There are big plates to share as well. Fresh juices are a must!

definitely a unique and interesting place. the service is slow but they are short staffed. not really fair to the staff to deal with basically a full house. i do like the pay at the table when you order feature though. once the food arrived however it was pretty good, especially the porridge. however, it is pretty dirty (there’s a lot of sitting on the floor) and that’s partly because there are 4 or 5 live horses IN the restaurant. they are literally living near the kitchen and the bathrooms. no idea why but saw this AFTER we ate. have to question the hygiene there. still, I’d recommended this place just for the experience alone.

The parking lot is limited. During lunch or dinner time, especially on the weekends, you might need to park a little bit far from the restaurant. There is a waiting room and clothes store as well. The decoration inside is historical and appealing. The restaurant is vast. I try several menus and the foods are yummy, with affordable price and plenty portion. It has a huge value range and you immediately have the feeling of being in a special place. But we only had to wait 7 minutes. There are also regular seats but we opted for the chairs on the floor. The service was very traditionally dressed and the food was very tasty. A great selection and the person could speak English. definitely chose the wrong time to visit this restaurant during the eid holiday, but since we were so curious about it we decided to go and had to wait for about 50 minutes until we got our table. ordered the classic gudeg plate and spicy bakmi jogja, other than the slow service and crowd I think the restaurant is worth to visit, just try to go when it is not the rush hour

A worthy restaurant to visit in Yogyakarta. You must make a reservation with the waiter to determine an available table. Because during the day, conditions are crowded and many seats are not available. The atmosphere along with the Javanese food here has its own characteristics for this place. The restaurant's waiter served in a friendly and helpful manner with some of the jokes he made. The air in some places feels hot but there are many fans available to keep the air cool.

I loved this place! It’s located outside of the touristy areas so you can really experience the Indonesian culture there! The variety of dishes on the menu was quite large but I can totally recommend to take one of the sets with rice in the middle 🤍🪷 It’s very affordable too! I also loved the decor and the fact that you can sit on the floor! It creates such a unique atmosphere. It’s quite a popular place so we were lucky not to wait but when we were going outside I could see people queuing (around 8 pm).

Some places are famous simply because of their marketing strategies, this is one of them. But the food is affordable despite of the fame, that's probably why people returning. The queue was long but it didn't take that much time to be seated. Waiters came quite fast however the waiting time for the food to serve it much longer than the queue.

What a fun place. Since the entrance there was a sense of this obsessed lady that is apparently the owner . She is all over. The food is very nice. We had 3 dishes and 2 fresh juices for.... $7!!!!! Great food really would recommend

As I can't handle very spicy food, I appreciate the staff who patiently introduced suitable options. I ordered Mie Goreng, Soto Ayam, and Telur Bakar. Generally, the food was okay, though the flavors were a bit salty but still manageable. I loved the relaxed vibe and the setting. The chairs were especially comfortable to sit in, making it a pleasant experience to have dinner and chill there after a day full of walking. House of Raminten is kinda a unique and specific reataurant. There are many people but it is not noisy. It has various menu that you can order. The foods are tasty and I like the drinks too. The atmosphere is really good with a very strong javanese culture. You can see from the furniture, accessories, even the waiters. The waiters are wearing a traditional clothes. It makes the place special with good manners. They have also second floor for more customers. Sometimes you gotta wait to get a spot. They have a wait line based on your arrival and table available for how many people. Another thing that is interesting is the toilet. It is clean and it has good smell. You can see horses when you go to the toilet. There are some spots also that people can take picture at. Please kindly check pictures on my review to see the places. Enjoy!

Awesome experience as usual! My go to comfort Western Food in Yogyakarta. Service was still the same, very nice and warm. Ambience even though there’s not much renovation but has that nice home-like feeling. There’s a separate Smoking areas too for smokers. We had a lot of food but my personal favourite are the drinks and wines instead. They offer great value Wines and Spirits for you to enjoy your meal with, especially when we ordered a nice classic Pepperoni Pizza. I’ll always come back and have great meals on this establishment. Price is slightly below average over other high-end Western Restaurant.

Overall a good food with quite affordable price and the service was great. Its just i expect to have more beautiful atmosphere. But good to try as they have so many options on their menu! Good job

I loved this place and I totally recommended. I tried a few different dishes and all were great from starters to deserts. In rush hours if you don't have a reservation you have to wait a bit. In my opinion the food was the best in town. Last but not least everyone working there were super kind.

The place looks nice, it is climatic. We were here during lunch time and it was busy. Seems it's popular. I don't know who this Kamil is, but it's a male name from rather Central and Eastern Europe. Anyway, back to the business of fair judgement of their food. Coffee, very nice, tasty, aromatic. Calamari, nope. Overcooked, chewy. The best thing about Calamari was the tasty Vietnamese sauce. The olives and feta cheese was a nice snack, that cannot go wrong. The pizza was fresh from the oven, yet it was saggy and wet, like if too much toppings were put on it. Shame, especially because this pizza is called "Chef" pizza in the menu.

Too hot and the food takes so long to come out (more yhan 45 minutes). The food its self is alright, but not to die for if you cone to yogyakarta. Better try authentic local foods instead

Excellent bakery goods, especially the croissants. The restaurant offers complete breakfast, fresh juices and of course coffee, tea and chocolate. For our moslem bros and sis be careful real 'bacon' is served, so you need to make sure you don't order the wrong one.

This is one was my bucket list in Jogja. We ordered lots of things here, steak, beef kebab and pizza was really great and delicious. The waiting time is short, even we ordered a lot of things it comes out quite quick. The place was nice and they also have a separate parking lot for cars and motorbike. Pricing was great. Good to visit!

The duck was absolutely incredible! I got the duck breast sweet spices dish that came with an aubergine confit and mushroom risotto. After a long day of travelling, I couldn’t of been happier with the meal I had even with the 30 minute wait. I’ll be returning to try out some other dishes from this restaurant tomorrow!

The food is delicious and with affordable price. Spagheti seafood is fresh and taste amazing. Pumpkin soup serve still hot and quite good but if you like salty soup better choose other this is either sweets or salty but nice and comfy soup. The duck confit was cooked well and perfect , serve one package with potato cheese. Better reserve for weekend and at night. We visited at day around 13.30 and no need to wait.

Was hosted to dinner here last night. The restaurant is clearly popular for when we arrived we were informed there was a 30-60 min wait, and boy was it worth it. We were also able to sit, chill and check the menu out whilst waiting, and when the table was available we were served drinks pretty quickly so the wait for food eventually didn’t seem that long. And the food was amazing. Every aspect was lovely. Highly recommend!

Came here because of the high ratings, but seems like the reviews need to be taken with a pinch of salt. Our orders were loaded with salt - mushroom soup was extremely salty and no amount of water we added to it could salvage it, the creamy spinach was also so salty that the cream couldn't cover the saltiness. Fruit juices taste diluted. Overall, not worth the price at all, considering it's so salty that its almost inedible. Atmosphere wise, depends on your seat - there are seating areas that allow smoking.

A very nice restaurant in Tirtodipuran, serving unique and authentic fusion Mediterranean food. I tried the Rib-eye with Monte carlo butter & potato island and it is to die for, the escargot is also delicious, fresh tuna tataki, and crispy pizza. Really hard to get reservations for this place.. but had to see what the hype was about.. turns out its worth it.. Had the lamb shank, tuna tataki, and duck breast! Everything was perfection.. I had medium cooked duck and it was very soft and cooked so well! It deserves all the hype it gets.. its a must try!

Finding this restaurant from ig and tiktok recommendation. At first, i doubted the taste would be delicious. Surprisingly, i really love the salmon vermicelli, it’s oily but it suits my taste. The spaghetti carbonara was also tasty but since i dislike tol creamy pasta, i prefer salmon vermicelli to carbonara. I didn’t try the smoked wagyu cheese sauce, but my husband said it was delicious but not special. It was peak season when we visited Roaster & Bear, but since i made a reservation and already placed the order so we didn’t wait long to eat. There are 2 giant teddy bears that attract many kids. Overall, it was good and would like to recommmend this restaurant to relatives and would like to revisit. We really appreciate the restaurant whatsapp admin, they were responsive even though it was high season holiday. Thank you!

I think this place is one of the best restaurant in Jogja. They aren't a fine dining restaurant, but they are quite fancy. The restaurant also have so many kind of seats, so you can choose place/seat to eat. Unfortunately, when i came, the second floor ia under construction, but it is okay, i still like their first floor. I also like their vibes, quite comfortable. Their dishes aren't expensive, normal price for western restaurant. I like their pasta and snack, yummy 😍😍. I like their desserts too, but i don't know why most of their desserts are made of bananas(?) 😅

I visited there to eat some food with friends. We ordered a lot of stuff. The service is nice, the place is clean. It's good to eat even though the price is a bit pricy. The smoke Wagyu is just so so, a bit sweet for me. The steam is too small. If you wanna have a nice dinner with a good view this restaurant is recommended.

The place has a really chill vibe, great for enjoying some good eats. Wife's all about the salmon and veggies, and my chicken Maryland was solid—though the breading was kinda thick. Panna cotta looked nice, but the sauce was a bit too sour. We'll swing by again to check out more dishes. Service was cool, even though we rolled in close to closing time. Tasty western cuisine.. the mushroom soup was rich, creamy and flavourful. The meat was tender and juicy with melted butter adding more flavour. The crembeule was light and delicious.

Wonderful lunch place of local and western dishes. Best iga bakar ribs that I had as so tender and well marinated. The Thai beef salad was a welcome surprise with the tangy dressing and mix of various salad vegetables. Last was the bumbu ayam which was well grilled and remains juicy.

Amazing experience at this café, the concept are super cute and classy combining cute bears, coffee and western foods. I really liked their crème brûlée, I thought it was just a boring plain custard but they added lemon in it, make it taste exciting and fresh. I also ordered their matcha, they taste good and balance, and the cute bear latte art is a plus! Overall this place is really recommended for some who looking for a café, it located at the second floor, accessible from another café at first floor.

I went here actually for buying a natural deodorant in their shop. And I stopped by for lunch. The place is spacious, you can choose where do you want to sit. I tried the laksa and steak. It was good. And the portion is huge. I wanted to try their famous coconut ice cream, but I was already so full. Anyway, if you happened to be in this area, come and try their menu. Very chill place, super nice staff and superb food. I had paneer ball and their chapati is just perfect... not thick and not too dry. For dessert I had frozen brownie, the cinnamon ice cream on its top was VERY delicious, plus the dry coconut on top! They also have the vegan version of all ice creams for the same price as the regular ones.

Hidden in a side street in Yogyakarta, this is a spot not to miss. It's a relief having veggies after every meal being rice and meats. This restaurant is fully vegan and they are great at it. Flavors are rich and you can taste that everything is fresh. Service was very friendly and considering everything is made from scratch, or good didn't take long to be prepared. I chanced upon this restaurant as I saw many great reviews online and I was skeptical about it. But when we receive our first dish, the sweet potato and cassava fries, we were blown away. It's such a simple dish, yet it tastes super good, fresh, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and of quality. We ordered Nasi Rames, Curry, and Steak Tempe for main courses and we were very surprised that without meat, the food still tastes good, or even better! We finished off the meal with the coconut chocolate ice cream which was very decadent, but we did not enjoy the coconut hibiscus ice cream as it was frozen solid and hard to eat. My friends and I are not vegetarian, yet we thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. I hope to be back to try the other dishes like the Medan Laksa. The menu had a wide variety of home made drinks, main courses ranging from indo to western food and desserts. The price was quite affordable, for the fact that we are paying for organic and quality food, made with love. The atmosphere was great too (we went on a Saturday night) and it was relaxing and calming, and not packed with many tourists. I also enjoyed the little shop at the side where I got a couple of handmade notebooks as souvenirs for my friends. They are unique gifts that you can't find anywhere else, definitely much better than mass-produced souvenirs that you can buy at any stalls at Malioboro street. Please come and have a try at this restaurant, you will not regret!!

I really fall in love with this place! It is adorable. So comfy, really earth friendly, family friendly, and also 'me-time' friendly. You can hang out with your friends here and have conversation freely because this place is wi-fi free, perhaps so we could have quality time with our friends or our own self while sitting under the trees. This place offer various healthy foods, plastic-free eating tools of course, and that's what I love the most about this place. The service is quite fast and they are so friendly here. If you want to spend more time here, you can read books for this place has 2 mini libraries, and your kids can play some creative games that they've set here for kids. Or your kids can read too since this place has a mini library for kids' books. This place also has various handcrafted/handmade products, such as bags, accessories, natural soap, shampoo, deodorant, etc. Those stuffs are so affordable. I really hope to come back again next time I visit Jogja. You should make this place one of your destinations in Jogjakarta.

their foods now isnt like years ago. for a local people like me, they are taste ugly, amburadul. the steak tempe doesnt have texture, it wrecked when i cut it. it literally taste like cheap tempe, doesnt taste like meat at all. the kare fried rice was better but it was soo plain and nothing special for the price. shame that this resto doesnt represent jogja or indonesia taste at all. other than that was decent. also there is a like healthy hand made shop which is their only great thing.

You want to eat here if you are a vegetarian or vegan visiting Yogyakarta. Cozy, chill place. Very friendly and fast staff. The food we had was super tasty! They use local and organic ingredients. The final bill price was correct. The vegan smoothies with coconut milk are a must-try.

I would say, for the price, the taste and the quality of the food is subpar, I mean, they're expensive compare to other restaurants in Jogja Area so I expected a lot but quite disappointed. It tasted okay, but for the price it should've taste wayyy better. You pay for the ambience honestly. Their restaurant is beautiful, 'instagramable' I'd say, but yeah, don't expect too much. Plus if the weather is bad, they're not as beautiful, so came when the weather is good, and when it did, do reserve first because they tend to be quite packed then.

The place has stunning views of Yogyakarta! But I’d recommend to come in the morning for breakfast/brunch or at the evening for tea time or dinner, otherwise the weather would be too hot. The food is taking a long time to come. The staff is helpful, but only to some selected groups. It’s incredibly pricey, but perhaps the views compensate the price.

Located up on the hill and part of Sumberwatu Heritage Resort, the restaurant conveys the beauty of Yogyakarta and Central Java’s landscape fronted by Prambanan Temple and Mount Merapi. Best time to visit is in the evening, though it’s mostly overcrowded by visitors. It doesn’t offer wide selection of menu and the price is a bit on the high end with decent taste.

The scenery was nice from here, many refers this place as one the best view restaurant in Yogyakarta. From up here you can witness the Mt. Merapi, prambanan, paddy fields, and villages. The foods itself was good but might be quite expensive for some reason, my personal favorite would be fried cassava, they're so good. Lastly the place has great environment, neatly decorated, clean and even can ride a horse for certain price. Overall it's pretty recommended.

The restaurant, which offers views of the Prambanan temple, will be interesting at night. Delicious food. The staff is very helpful and kind. The interior design is also interesting. Lots of spots for selfies.

I've been dinning to several fine resto locals and internationals, this is one of the does-not-worth-your-time-and-money-just-skip-it kind of place. Food's taste are below average, ambience and view are so so, they do look good, presentations are well shown, just when you taste them, disappointment comes. That satay, it's so hard that you need so much effort to chew them, and oh that raw meat smell... that really turn my mood off. They serve this prawn dishes maybe a frozen not so fresh prawn, texture is mushy with a bitter after taste. They don't even can make a simple fish and chips!!! Fish is so dry, also with that kind of frozen kind of fish with bad after taste, and chips... oh my God, who can not deep fried a simple chips? it's wet, oily and ah... forget it i've lost in words. Think twice if you are looking for a place to dine. Only come if you curious, have some snacks or coffee, but please forget about the main course. About the price... be prepared, this place is waaayyy toooo bloody expensive, i mean, its f-in way too expensive. Really not worth the experience. Sorry i have to lower the rating down to 1 star (from 2 stars), because just after the dinner, some of us got a stomach problem. Please to dear management, do better with the quality control and the value of your menu. This is the first time I've ever so disappointed with a fine resto. To the Abhayagiri management, let me know if its possible to ask for a full refund. At least that's the simple & kind gesture for you to make my day. ... Update: It's been 6 months, and NO respond and NO approach from Abhayagiri management... good job!

Greenery concept resort with city view landscape and prambanan view...the room was clean and well maintenance with profesional services. Love to stay.

I've know this place years ago, but it took me just few days ago to visit Abhayagiri. Everything seemed perfecf when I came here. I got the sunset capturing moment while I could also enjoy the dinner time with my hubby. Now I know why this place is very popular among tourists. 1. The concept of the building. It's so exotic. 2. The menu. I can't say the food nor drinks are cheap. It is still considered as expensive if you compare the price rate with other restaurants among DIY. I would rather say it worth price. You will find out why I can say this. 3. The service. All staff are so welcoming and warm. Love them. However.... I would suggest you to get reservation before your visit, so that you can pick your favorite spot dining/lunch seat.

Very scenic and beautiful location to watch the sunset. The weather was too cloudy so we couldn't see the mountain. The food was delicious and is of good portion.

Wow what a great hidden gem in Yogyakarta. You must come here for sunset! Food is great, pleasant views, and lovely decor. If I'm ever back in this city I will be back here for sure!

One of must Visit resto in Jojga. Although the price is quite expensive but it really worth the price. The food is soo tasty and the portion is big. There is outdoor and indoor area. Don't forget to take a lot of pictures there. ❤️👍

The view is one of a kind. Absolutely magical. Food is on okay side, nothing to brag about. Service is great, place is clean and tidy. The staff is very warm and friendly. I would love to comeback here again next time. Lovely place. Reserve in advanced if you come on weekend.
