The Sri Rangji Mandir is a grand Vaishnava temple dedicated to an 8th-century saint. The temple hosts regular festivals and is located near a bustling market, offering traditional outfits and other materials for women. Inside the temple, there is a mirror temple and a room containing gold items used during Ranganath ji's jhanki, which can be viewed for a fee of Rs.10 per person.
Loved that place and history bahot the place. Near by market is too good to shop for female's for some traditional outfits and other materials. There is a temple inside Ranganath ji temple which Open only once in a year they also have a mirror temple and a room to keep all the stuffs of gold which they used in jhanki of Ranganath ji we can pay 10 rs per head and can go in to have a look. I should not have to say that but you need to be aware and not to flow with emotions there are many peoples and pandits who just waiting there to fool you on the name of god to get money online name of seva.

Temple has a very beautiful architecture. There are several smaller temples built inside it of various deities. The temple closes in the afternoon from 11 to 3.30 pm. As you walk inside you will find several guides coming up to you and they will give you a detailed tour of the temple in just 50 rs. Taking a guide will help you understand the place a little better. They will also take you to another smaller temple in the back side of this temple where they will ask you for temple donation. It is completely upto you to decide for it and not mandatory. Beware of the monkeys everywhere in the temple or any temple. They will take your mobile, specs, goggles, purse or anything that you are casually carrying in your hand and will break it if its not eatable.

This historical temple is very special because the main entrance gate is built as per the Rajasthani architecture and the main temple was built in South Indian Architecture which is very unique. It also has a Mirror Palace and a Gold Pillar which looks mesmerizing. The detailing in the wall and pillars were a whole story to look.

Sri Rangnath ji temple is one of the largest temple in Vrindavan. This temple was built in mid 19th century. The design and architecture is inspired from South Indian temples specially Ranganathaswamy temple TamilNadu. You can visit here all days of the week, from 8:00 to 12:00 in the morning and 3:00 to 7:30 in the evening. There is no entry fee to visit the temple. You need to take ticket to see the museum inside the temple.

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Sri Rangnath Ji Mandir in Vrindavan, and I was absolutely captivated by its beauty and serenity. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and it is one of the most important Vaishnava temples in the world. Here are some of the things I loved about the temple: The architecture: The temple is built in the Dravidian style of architecture, and it is truly a sight to behold. The intricate carvings on the walls and pillars are simply stunning. The atmosphere: The temple has a very peaceful and calming atmosphere. The chanting of hymns and the sound of bells create a truly spiritual experience. The darshan: The darshan of Lord Vishnu is a highlight of any visit to the temple. The deity is beautifully adorned with flowers and jewels, and it is a sight that will stay with you long after you leave. The best time to visit the temple is early in the morning or late in the evening. This is when the temple is less crowded and you can have a more peaceful experience.

At a distance of 1.5 km from Vrindavan Railway Station, Sri Ranganath or Rangaji Temple is one of the biggest temples in the region. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and his consort Lakshmi. The construction of this temple began in 1845 and was completed in 1851, at a cost of 45 lakhs rupees. It was built by Seth Radha Krishna and Seth Govindadasa of Chennai. It is one of Vrindavan's largest temples and is surrounded by high walls. The deity in the temple is called Sri Ranganatha and is represented in sleeping posture on Shesh Nag. The temple also houses the idols of Sita - Rama and Lakshmana, Lord Narasimha, Ramanujacharya and Venugopala. The Rangaji Temple is built in South Indian architecture with eight gopuras built in Dravidian style. The main entrance to this temple is on the western side. There is a six-storey gopuram, which is completely filled with carvings. The temple also has a gold plated 50 feet high Dhwaja stambha. There is also a temple tank and a beautiful garden within the temple premises. At the entrance, there is an electronic puppet show and a small museum. This temple celebrates Brahmotsavam, a 10 day festival in the month of March / April. The festival is popularly known as Rath ka Mela, where devotees pull the Rath to the nearby garden from the temple. The annual Jalvihar festival is also another main attraction of the Rangaji Temple, when devotees in large numbers participate in the ritual bathing of the idol. The poojas are performed in the temple by South Indian Brahmans. Earlier Non-Hindus were not allowed enter the main temple area where the deity is located, but now they can enter the courtyard. Timings: 6 AM - 12 PM and 3 PM - 9 PM

Only South Indian style build temple in Virndavan. Construction started in 1845 and finished in 1851. Beautiful temple, very well made, we visited on a week day at 1600 h, crowd was less. Better to take e rickshaw, it will drop you right at the gate, it will take 45 minutes to see the full temple. Advised to take a guide, they are locally available at temple, charges vary as per season & crowd, but it's worth it. See it peacefully, admire the beauty of Garud sathambh. It is made of silver, covered with gold weighing 100s of kgs. Be careful of monkeys, do not carry anything in hand, no mobile, no 🕶️. Worth a visit.

Very beautiful mandir, very peaceful & tranquil! Loved visiting here! Must visit when in Vrindavan. Also, buy your souvenirs from here because they're cheaper in comparison to anywhere else in Vrindavan. Tip: don't go here wearing glasses because monkeys snatch them away & they might chew or break your glasses. If they take it away then offer them a small frooti and they'll return your glasses right away! This applies to everywhere in Vrindavan, not just Sri Rangnath Ji temple!

Any combination of 24 alphabets cannot describe the eternal beauty of the place. Immense peace can be felt while sitting in front of krishna murti. The Krishna Janmasthan Temple Complex is a group of Hindu temples in Mallapura, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India. These temples are built at the location where the Lord Krishna was born, and is adjacent to the Shahi Eidgah mosque built by Aurangzeb! According to historians, the prison cell, popularly known as 'Garbha Griha' ( Sanctum Sanitorium ) , in the temple premise is the exact place where lord Krishna was born. The stone walled cell is reminiscent of the cruelty of King Kansa. Many statues and sculptures of the bygone era were found on excavating the site. The prison cell was gradually turned into the present beautiful temple. Lakhs of devotees throng the temple during Janmashtami. Note- Mobile Phones, Camera and digital watches is not allowed, inside the Janmbhoomi. Timings: 5:00am to 12:00pm , 4:00pm to 9:30pm

This is one of the most holy places I have visited in Mathura as it is said to be the birth place of our lord Krishna. Near about 5000 years ago lord Krishna born there in the jail to Vasudeva and Devaki Maiya. Later he was transferred across the Yamuna river to mata Yashodha Devi and Nanda and brought up by them. So, the Sri Krishna jonmo bhoomi place is basically the place where lord Krishna is appeared on earth. We have visited there in the evening. We can't carry any electronic gadgets like mobile, camera etc inside the place, so we have to submit them in the booths with minimum charges. There are separate gents and ladies booths. After that we have to wait for a while in the checking booths for security check. Then we entered the place. It is no doubt a peaceful place. The inside area is a little chilly. When we roamed through the jail area I literally had goosebumps. It is such a good fortune of me to see that place in person. Other than that the whole place is quite beautiful and maintained. I have enjoyed my journey there.

If you believe in god then this place is history for you or else it's a myth. It was supposed to be the place where lord Krishna was born. It's also called Kans karagar. You cannot take mobile phones inside so plan accordingly. There are cloak rooms at gates where you can keep your phones. Timing is the same as any other temple in Vrindavan and mathura. There are 3 gates. Gate 3 seems to be less crowded than the other gates. Gate one has many shops and food joints. So plan your visit accordingly.

Govardhan hill

Mentioned on
Mountain peak
Govardhan hill, a well-known location in Hindu legends, is a mountain peak that Lord Krishna lifted on his little finger for several days to protect the Gopas from the rain and thunder of Lord Indradev. It is also called Goverdhan Prabhat and has multiple holy temples and a picturesque lake. Visitors can circumambulate the mountain which spans about 22 kms while chanting Radhe Radhe.
Divine place.. Govardhan hill in Vrindavan has its own significance and a very important place in Krishna ji Leela . Govardhan Hill holds great significance in Krishna Leela as it is associated with Lord Krishna lifting the hill to protect the residents of Vrindavan from Indra's wrath. The act symbolizes the power of devotion and the importance of protecting nature. The parikrama Yatra around Govardhan Hill is considered sacred in Hindu tradition. It is believed to bestow spiritual blessings, purify the soul, and strengthen one's connection with the divine. The circular journey signifies devotion, humility, and reverence towards the divine, encapsulating the essence of Krishna's teachings.

Govardhan Hill or the Giri Raj is situated at a distance of 22 km from Vrindavan. It has been stated in the Holy Bhagwat Gita that according to Lord Krishna, Govardhan Parvat is not different from him. Therefore, all his worshipers worship the pure rocks of the hill just like they worship his idol. The hill is made up of sandstone and stands 80 ft tall with a circumference of 38 km. Some interesting places one gets to visit the hills including Mansi Ganga, Mukharvind, and Daan Ghati. History says that Lord Krishna lifted the Govardhan Hill during his childhood on one finger to save his village of Mathura from fierce rains and thunderstorm. This hill is thereby considered holy and is visited by worshipers on Guru Purnima, Govardhan Puja in devotion by walking 23 km barefoot around the mountain. After Lord Krishna had saved his village, he told everyone to worship the hill which is why Govardhan Puja is a day after Diwali. It is a serene place, and definitely, a must visit!

Mind blowing place Govardhan Hill in Hindi Govardhana Parvata; also called Mount Govardhana and Giriraj, is a sacred Hindu site in the Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, India on an 8 km long hill located in the area of Govardhan and Radha Kund, which is about 21 kilometres approx. from Vrindavan. The name 'Govardhana' has two primary translations. In the literal meaning, 'Go' translates to 'cows', and 'vardhana' translates to 'nourishment' in the sense of taking care of their food as well as increase their number and productivity of milk, butter & it's other products. Another meaning of 'Go' is 'the senses' and 'vardhana' can also mean 'to increase' - thus the name is also translated by devotees of Krishna as 'that which increases the senses' for their betterment of soul and mind. Moreover, It is believed that the personality of Govardhan blesses the devotee by increasing his devotion. It is the sacred centre of Braj and is identified as a natural form of Krishna, the Govardhana Shila(Rock).

Kusum Sarovar is surrounded by magnificent structures which were constructed by Jawahar Singh, the king of Bharatpur in the middle of 18th century, in honor of his father Raja Suraj Mal. A simple earthen pond till 1675, it was properly built by ruler of Orchha, Veer Singh, after which Suraj Mal constructed a garden for his queen, converting it into a beautiful place. Afterwards, Jawahar Singh built astonishing structures in the memory of his parents. There are three tombs in the upper level. The main tomb of Raja Suraj Mal has beautiful paintings on its ceiling depicting the pastimes of Krishna and the lotus feet of Krishna engraved on the floor. There are also some paintings of Raja Suraj Mal in his court. The other tombs are those of his two queens, Kishori and Hansiya. The interior of these buildings is also breathtaking. Walls are decorated with paintings and ceilings are highly decorated. These include paintings on the lives of Jat kings and on the Lilaas of Lord Krishna. राधे राधे 🙏🙏🙏🙏

This place is a joyful thing to experience. The Sarovar and the fort like structures around it. The Sarovar is very big with structures extending within it. As you go to the opposite side of the entrance, you experience the fort. Again there is a temple whose structure looks more intricate to me than some footprint it holds. I believe this is the only historical thing people need to see in this region.

Surrounded by the whispers of nature, one can't help but feel a sense of serenity wash over them. It's the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with oneself. Whether you're seeking solace in the quietude of nature or simply looking for a moment of reflection, Kusum Sarovar offers an ideal escape. Sit by the water's edge, breathe in the fresh air, and let the worries of the world melt away. I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone in search of peace and tranquility amidst the beauty of Mathura's landscape.

Guests can experience the luxury of fully serviced accommodations while immersing themselves in India's spiritual culture.
Beautiful, serene & peaceful. Makes me want to come back again! The gardens are also beautiful, great place for meditation. The restaurant is excellent as well both in terms of quality of food and service.

Rooms are very clean with hot bathing water and hot drinking water (bisleri) available all the time. Sheets and linen are clean with spacious rooms. The hotel premises are decent and location is ultimate, Iskon temple is just opposite to this place. This hotel also has a decent restaurant which has decent ambience and serves hygienic and tasty food.

Restaurant: Food is clean, the lady who served us was very nice and polite. At least I don’t fall sick but the taste of every continental item has a sweet touch. The paneer subji is made with gobhi and it tastes like sweet aloo gobhi sabzi with gravy, the pizza sauce is sweet, we even tried the burger and panini sandwich but even they were sweet. Maybe they have a Bengali cook but the taste is no where close to the standard you get to see internationally. Rotis feel like the ones you get in the ashrams, dry, not puffed, and very dead in appearance. We will not be eating there again as we tried few times with no luck. We really liked Ekyam Sattvic, great taste and they accommodate, same prices as MVT.

We stayed few days back. Location is excellent of MVT at the heart of vrindavan. Hospitality was amazing, especially the girl on reception (Sandhya), always ready to give helping hand, seems she is very trained and professional ( from greeting to checking the guest out), she is very sweet and polite❤️. Night shift guy was very irritating, NO for everything and he is the only reason for which I am not giving 5 star. Rooms were also good. Overall it was best experience.❤️

It's an beautiful place to stay as most of the inmates are from different nationalities. ISKCON is also very nearby so you can have early morning 4.30 am aarti. This place has a awesome restaurant attached to it where you get good vegetarian Indian and continental cuisines. The best place for families or with your friends as well. Recommend it strongly👍
Rajasekar Insumust — Google review
Ambience is good, but of no use bcoz you cannot go anywhere, You can only stay in ur room. Because the iskcon devotees shouldn't be disturbed by your talking & i heard a roomservice man saying that he's putting old sheets and blankets to the rooms because of unavailability of sufficient sheets. My personal experience was not good. I found those ppl rude. The power cut was constantly happening.. that annoyed a lot. Climate was hot and so cold water was a must need, but sadly we were told to fill our bottles from water cooler placed in the reception. Inspite of paying quite a good amount for 4 nights 5 days service was very poor. We checked in very late, almost 6 hrs late, but while check out they didn't even adjust us for 1 hr extra due to our train time, inspite of requesting them a lot. I feel staying in a budget hotel is far more better than wasting money on hotels like this.. and they only entertain the isckon followers, not random ppl like you and me. I think they should shut down the hotel part and convert the rest of it to isckon ashram only.

Great and mercifullnes place to stay. The restaurant Govindas is outstanding as well and a vegetarian paradise. All personnel and security guard are kind. It's located near Sri Krishna-Balaram ISKCON Temple in case you like to visit spiritual places and all the ambience at the MVT is peaceful. Lovely gardens to stay a while, meditate or have a little walk. It has also near groceries stores and devotional stores, also to the main road from Vrindavan to get rikshaws in cas you want to go to Vrindavan's baazars. Srila Prabhupada ki jay!

Had the most wonderful experience here: super appartment, warm and with comfortable bed. Hot water at the ready but sanitary fittings could have been cleaner. Marvellous food and very friendly staff in restaurant with good choice of menu. Reception always ready to help. Beautifully kept gardens. Right across the street from ISKON Temple, too. Couldn't have asked for more...

Visited for the first time yesterday....BEST Location ( walking distance 2-3 mins maximum from....ISKON Temple main gate and 20 feets from back boundary of ISKON Temple) Very neat and clean and properly maintained. I was skeptical about my stay with family especially Post COVID. But Thankfully my decision was correct and my search is over for my further stays. Hotel management (Reception/Housekeeping) all were ever ready to extend hands to their guests. Beautiful huge garden inside the campus. Looks like well maintained Haveli. Location was 5/5, Hotel Management was 5/5, In House Restaurant Food was 5/5.. Only flaw was you have to park your own vehicle outside the campus but it was properly under hotel surveillance, but it was good for in house guests. (So overall 5/5) Thanks to MVT Team. Keep It Up !!

One star for welcoming and courteous staff and another star for beautiful lawn and delicious food at their restaurant. Our washroom had a nasty smell coming out of the shower drain I think. We had to keep the exhaust fan on all night long to get rid of that smell. The tap was dirty, the dispensers were empty, the comforter had stains from previous use. We had to wait half hour before a person took our order for dinner, the people who sat next to us after 15 mins got their order taken first. Its not first come first serve. They should sit people according to the number of people in the group. The restaurant looked not organized at all. Some workers were running around and others were just standing and chit chatting, while people waiting for long time for their food. It was an ok experience and I hope MVT will improve in the areas they are lacking in right now. Nonetheless, it is a beautiful property to stay at and very quiet and clean.

MVT is a very calm hotel to stay in and has a very spiritual and holy environment all around. It is right next to ISKCON and located in Vrindavan near all important tempes so you can walk to the temples ar take a rickshaw. The rooms are excellent, very clean and the rates are a bargain for the quality and atmosphere you get. They have MVT restaurant where you get pure veg sattvik food without onion and garlic. All over, we had a unforgettable experience here and it is the best place to stay in Vrindavan if you are a devotee and want a peaceful trip.

Good things: - Property is in a good location and is beautiful - Rooms are spacious Not so good things: - You cannot access the whole property. Not told to you clearly at the time of booking - Service is bad. In order to do simple refill of soaps, had to chase multiple times. Tea bags was over but no one bothered to fill. You can’t ask them to refill anything in the evening as store guy goes home. One dispenser in the washroom was not working when we checked in and it remained so till we checked out - if you have ordered something and after taking the order they realise they can’t do it, they don’t call back and inform. It’s only after you have waited through and call them, you realise they can’t give. For instance we wanted tea with milk. Initially they took the order. After 45 min when we called in to check, they said they can’t as they only serve herbal tea. - Cafetria is very over priced and pretty average with very odd dinner timings. Breakfast starts only after 8:30 and dinner closes at 9:15. Very weird timing for a pilgrimage site. No buffet option - Travel guy is ~20% expensive from market with same service Overall, decent property but not worthed the money. Iskon ratings in MMT is given by the members and hence it looks very high. Honestly, it’s expensive for what they provide for

Great location, international vibe with international client base. We only visited the restaurant. Service was excellent. Food was good. We paid about 1100 INR for two Thali, two sparkling lemon water and a wrap. Been in country for a week with no stomach issues until this meal - maybe it’s the purified water? Maybe it’s just me. Just a heads up.

Very good and spiritual vegetarian clean restaurant. After many days of very spicy more traditional vegetarian indian food, I came here with my European stomach and found relief. The quantities are generous and the tastes are softer but very good. I suggest to try the cheesecake especially.

One of the best property in Vrindavan to stay. It's always my first choice and now it feels like home in Vrindavan. Staff is polite and helpful. Best part is the ambience of this property. So calm and peaceful. Walking distance for Iskcon and Prem mandir. I really like it's restaurant food . Pure satvik cuisine with so much of options. Price is little high but completely worth it. Beautiful cafe, anterior design and decoration is very aesthetic 😍 mainly Chinese and Italian food is served. According to the price the taste was fine. We ordered 3 dishes: arabita red sauce pasta, 2 burgers, and tandoori momos veg and all of it costed Rs. 437 .

Ambience is good. But, we did not like the food. We ordered Manchow Soup, Virgin Mojito, Chaap, Chilly Paneer Dry and Tandoori Momos. And, all these dishes were not good at all. Chaap and Momos were not fresh, Mojito was like Lemon Water and Chilly Paneer was less than OK. I would rate it as worst food ever. Waste of money.

Worst pizza of my life. They lied to me that they freshly baked it on wood fire oven. In reality they just made it on pre baked base in electric oven. It was pathetic, tasteless and over cooked. Service was slow and arrogant staff.

MC. I ate in different places, but since they treat customers here, I was pleased. Good service. Food 4 out of 5. But the guys collect feedback all the time and I think that they will improve the food for you. The soup was salty. The cakes are good. They said that ice cream without sugar and brought with sugar. Green salad was with soft cucumbers, tomatoes and carrots were crispy and fresh. The rice with vegetables was lacking in sweetness as in the Kashmir Pulao dish.

Visited the restaurant yesterday and this was Okayish, Not the best & not the bad too. Main Course was Tasty but Rotis weren’t good at all. Prices were too high according to Portion size. They even Charge more than MRPs on Cold Drinks, IDK why? Apart from these, Ambience was Nice, Place was also nice.. Located at RoofTop. FastFood and Shakes were Also Good. I have been going to 11 flowers for two weeks straight almost every night for dinner during my stay in Vrindavan. The menu boasts a wide array of traditional Indian dishes, each crafted with precision and authenticity. What truly set 11 Flowers apart is the depth of flavor in each dish. Every bite is a symphony of spices, from the earthy warmth of cumin to the fiery kick of chili peppers. Each dish is expertly seasoned, showcasing the complexity and diversity of Indian cuisine. The service is also impeccable, with attentive staff members who are knowledgeable about the menu and eager to offer recommendations. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with vibrant decor . In conclusion, my experience at 11 Flowers Restaurant is nothing short of exceptional. If you're craving authentic Indian cuisine that is bursting with flavor, look no further than this hidden gem. I had 2 lunches and 2 dinners at 11 Flowers because I loved the food so much. For me it is the best restaurant in Vrindavan. I can highly recommend the yellow spinach dal and the smokey green rice as well as the veg juice.
Michael Holzner — Google review
I recently visited this place and my overall experience was rather disappointing. I ordered the woodfire pizza, and to my dismay, it was below average, bordering on tasteless. The lime soda was just average, and the cheesecake left much to be desired. The base was so hard that cutting it with a spoon was a challenge. The butterscotch ice cream had a sour taste that left my mouth unpleasantly puckered. While the ambience was okayish, the subpar food and lackluster desserts make it hard for me to recommend this place.

I’m from America, the USA. UPDATE: they don’t honor any advertised deal! This place is generally mediocre with being alert for scams, as one expects. I had the Jaipuri Veg Kofta and enjoyed it. My friends tried the pizza and that was good enough—I can make better in the USA. The advertised deal of the day has always been for yesterday and then they did the run around when I asked about the deal for today, another Indian scam I think. They don’t include tax in the menu prices which is NOT normal in India. Decent choice for food, but a bit pricey and you’ll have to be on your aware game. There is an A/C room.

I have been visiting this restaurant since the past 5 years. It’s very strategically located within the Parikrama Marg of Vrindavan which is a great feeling for any devotee. This building is having an elevator which takes the guest to the Restaurant comfortably especially the elders in the family. This restaurant serves variety of dishes with unique recipes. They have a good clientele of International tourists because of hygiene and food quality. I retired from a big corporate house and have no hesitation to recommend a working lunch/dinner for a group of 15-20 people. My team enjoyed the food and services during their visit to this place. I strongly recommend this Roof Top Restaurant
