Museo Orlina is a contemporary museum that showcases the stunning works of the glass sculptor Ramon Orlina. The place highlights Filipino art and culture, providing an enriching experience for all ages. It boasts a state-of-the-art building with rooftop and outdoor displays of masterpieces, allowing visitors to reflect and appreciate art, culture, and imagination. Anyone can come here to witness the inspiration of featured artists without requiring an art degree or prior knowledge.
A showcase of different works of Orlina through the years. Along with new artists learning the craft of glass sculpture. The ambiance of the place is light. No air conditioning needed because of the cool breeze and good ventilation of the museum's architecture. The rest rooms also smelled pleasant. I would like to see the original masterpiece in the National Museum.

Really nice glass sculptures of the Filipino artist. Quite a few floors with a rooftop viewing deck of the surrounding views of the lake. Not more than 30 mins to do the entire place. Some good pieces, with lots of pieces featuring the female form. Service was my moderate. The place was under going some renovation.

Filipino Art and Culture Place This is an art building that includes rooftop and outdoor display of masterpieces. It is a place where anyone could enrich, reflect and appreciate oneself about art, culture and imagination. It does not require an art major to see the inspiration of the featured artist. It even helps see others perspective and perception of things and feels connected too. It is a good learning experience for all ages.

This is a fantastic glass museum - one of its kind in the world I would say. The staff maynot seem very friendly at first having so many strict rules like even in December 2022 - a strict mask protocol, etc but then you realize it is just a management decision they are forced to follow. The first two floors are dedicated to works of Mr. Orlina which are fascinating to say the least. We felt his take on feminism was a little on the higher side though the museum had a note that some of Art was influenced with the birth of his second daughter. Again it's art, so everyone has a different take. The lower two floors have a rotating exhibits from other similar artists which were equally interesting but more information on the artists would be useful. Do check out their Facebook page for any possible holiday timings or closures. Finally, the road leading to the museum is super steep - if you are driving on your own, please be careful when you exit.

I was amazed by all of the glass sculptures I saw. The gallery really showed how Orlina had developed his technique over the years; how he fully utilized the properties of glass and how it interacts with light, as well his appreciation and tributes to impressive architectural design. Only posting a few of the pictures I took to avoid spoiling the fun for other people, though pictures don't really do justice to the works. You really need to be there and see them from every angle to truly appreciate the amount of thought and meticulousness put into each sculpture. That was a truly enjoyable and educational visit for a very affordable price of P150. I wish I had come a little earlier, more than an hour is needed to really appreciate all of the works in the museum, especially since the paintings / sculptures from the other artists in the gallery were really impressive too.

"Very artistic displays" This is my first time to see an art made out from Glass and it is very interesting. I commend the artist for making such masterpiece, its a unique type of art. To be honest, I am not really into art but its satisfying to see and experience being in this kind of museum. There was an entrance fee of P150 and I think its worth the price for the tour. The place is quiet, peaceful and has a good view. There was street parking available.

I wasn’t really aware that there’s a glass museum in Tagaytay! A close friend said that she wanted to go here and so we did! The place is bright and airy. The art pieces are remarkable. I really enjoyed seeing the glass artworks. They also have some paintings and wall murals. Definitely a must visit for art enthusiasts specially those looking for things to do in Tagaytay.
Lolli Mae Guab — Google review
There are different artworks made by different artists - glass, metal and different media. Elevator is not working for now, so you have to take the stairs, you go up 3 levels and go down again to visit the artworks in the basement. The place has a very nice view of Taal as well, especially when you're in the rooftop. We brought kids and they appreciate the metal artworks so much and they loved playing and "performing" in the garden outside. There's a small stage where they simply sang and danced their hearts out. 😊

The museum exhibits glass sculptures of Mr. Orlina. Incredible art work. It's a 4 storey museum and some artworks are for sale. If you are into art, then it's a recommended place to visit when in Tagaytay.

Not as big as the Ben Cab Museum in Baguio but as impressive with the quality of the work displayed. Four floors, a roof deck and a sculpture garden containing glass sculpture cut from solid blocks of glass and other paintings and sculptures by visiting artists. We'll worth spending some time here to appreciate the impressive works of art.

I visited Museo Orlina recently, and despite not being an avid art enthusiast, I found the experience surprisingly enjoyable. The collection of glass sculptures is truly captivating, each piece telling its own unique story. The fusion of art and storytelling creates a distinct charm, making it an engaging visit even for those not typically drawn to art galleries. What adds a local touch to the experience is the inclusion of works by local artists that are available for purchase. It's a wonderful opportunity to take home a piece of the vibrant local art scene and support talented artists. The museum not only showcases art but also provides a platform for the community's creative expression.
Jomar Ariate — Google review
Even for people with not much of an artistic eye such as myself will be drawn to appreciate the magnificent pieces of work in this museum. It’s hard not to be mesmerized by the glassworks and other works on display here. Plus, it’s a museum with many different sections, even an outdoor one, so you may take your pick and choose where to spend your time. Also, it wasn’t too packed considering we visited this museum on a Sunday.

Very nice. 🖤 You will enjoy it while exploring inside. You won't see the beauty of the art if you won't look close to it.

SEPT 2022 - The main artist is an architect who create glass into wonderful sculptures. I was thankful that the kids love the idea to visit the place to give them a glimpse of what other artists are able to achieve with their imagination. Previously you have to make a reservation but now, you can just walk-in. A tour guide will explain the history and will be kind to answer any questions. It's a 4 level building and don't worry the elevator is working. I've added photos of the pieces I like, and it makes you think how they manage to build it using simple tools... I wish they also included in display the power tools used and short video clip on how it is done. Glass combined with proper lighting is really nice specially if it has a differnt color than the usual glass material. Some items on display in the gallery at lower levels are also for sale... just look for a folder where you see the prices. Any question you may ask the tour guide. I wish I can own one glass center piece for our house, the violet color seems to the one my wife would definitely love. I am sure, I will have one in coming years... 👍

Really not a keen and knowledgeable person about art but the place is solemn. The entrance may be a bit expensive for just limited art pieces. Still a good place to visit in tagaytay. Entrance fee is quite expensive for like 300 per person for a limited art. They have 3 floors and each floor has different art. Not that spacious but still good. I hope they add a service where their staff can explain the history of these arts to visitors/tourists.

If you appreciate art, perhaps this is a nice place to visit, it's a 4 story-modern building, with exclusive art work of a filipino artist Ramon Orlina. Comprised of glass work, which is quite clean and aesthetically pleasing. May take around 30minutes to check all floors and see each piece. Entrance wasn't so much alittle over 100.

Pink Sisters' Convent and Chapel

Sights & Landmarks
The Adoration Convent of Divine Mercy, also known as the Pink Sisters Convent, is a Catholic church located in Tagaytay that offers Sunday services in a peaceful setting. The convent's scenic courtyard and tranquil environment make it an ideal place for worship and reflection. Though visitors are currently limited to morning hours due to the pandemic and there are no mass intentions for now, a visit to this place will still bring one closer to God through its solemn atmosphere.
The place is really quiet and there was this vibes that urges you to connect and communicate with God solemnly. It was indeed a great place for retreat and reflect. I think we just got lucky enough to visit the place with few visitors, I have heard that before pandemic it was really crowded even during weekdays.
MsJaney Nam — Google review
A solemn place for going to church, many devotees praying and coming to write their prayers here on the papers and pens they provide for free. Donations are optional. Place is filled with pine trees making it pleasant, they have a path with the stations of the cross. Plenty of parking space inside, going in and out could be a little challenging as it is a busy small two way street leading to the main highway and sometimes the retreat buses are going in and out also.

A serene and glorious place for anyone who wish to repent wash away their sin’s, pray and support the church. Tips: For Motorbikes - Parking is only Outside For Cars - Not enough to accommodate everybody On weekends be ready for a jam packed visitors for their Saturday Mass.

Pink Sister was a perfect place to visit if you want to pray and meditate with His Word. The place has a garden entrance and a good amount of open space. The church itself has good design and quite spacious requirements for church goers. Also it has those request letter for them to pray for you. Overall it is a solid 5.

The BAD: -None.

Nice stop over with serene ambiance and overlooking view of Taal. Food and beverages though are pricey. Worth to try but nothing is exceptional on their offering. Not crowded with ample car parking.

Must go to if you are in Tagaytay. Hmmm...check the sisters in pink and hear them say their prayers na sobrang sweet and light ng mga boses. You can also offer your prayer intentions as well via letter sa gilid ng church. Yung grotto na walking distance from the church offers a nice view as well.

I'm not religious, but visiting churches and chapels has always been in my itinerary. Pink Sisters' chapel is located around nature, which makes visitors feel at peace. The establishment is clean and offers a lot of parking spaces. It's not allowed to take photos inside, but there are a lot of seats available even when it's not as big as other churches. The guard also helps maintain silence so people can focus on praying and connecting. Definitely one of the best churches in tagaytay to visit.

A place to offer your prayers. In my case everything that I prayed was realized eventually it's just that I did not realize that it was already happening right at the moment. The place is accessible by commute and private car, the ambience in this place is very relaxing.

Neighborhoods
The Twin Lakes Tagaytay branch of Starbucks, a popular coffeehouse chain originating from Seattle, is known for its distinct roasts and availability of WiFi. Despite the long queues seen outside the establishment, service is fast which makes it convenient for those on-the-go. The branch offers a beautiful view of Lake Taal and its lush greenery surroundings which adds to the appeal. It serves as a pit stop for travelers going to Batangas and returning back home to Quezon City.
Expect long line when ordering. The place is cozy and great. They also have al fresco tables facing the view, such a beautiful scenery with great coffee. Highly recommended to be visited.
Wency Valmoria — Google review
Queue from the outside was long, but service was fast, so we were able to get our coffee to go for the long drive going to the resort in Batangas, and back home in Quezon City. This is the first Starbucks you'll see coming from Batangas and upon entering Tagaytay so it's always packed. The view is nice outside because of the lush greeneries and view of the Taal volcano.

Something different from all the Starbucks branches is that you wouldn't mind sitting outside because the view is exhilarating. Especially around the cool season, it is a nice place to visit. Plus there are less folks that use the place as library

The usual Starbucks cafe. 🌟🧜‍♀️ This one is 2 storey though. And they have no menu board and cashier downstairs. You have to climb up to the ground level just to see the menu, not good for PWDs and seniors. 😔 But the ambience made up for it. 👍 Al fresco with lots of green space is also available. 🌴

The concoction I wanted was not available due to popular demand. One of the staff, "Jim" suggested for matcha and strawberry to be mixed together as it would make a similar refreshing drink with the one I initially asked for. And it was!

Our group came on a weekend and arrived almost noon. Since we already had brunch we were lucky that there wasn't a long queue and that there's vacant tables and chairs for us to enjoy our.cold brew and iced coffee drinks! AND marvel on the beautiful view of Lake Taal.

Like all other Starbucks, same coffee taste. What I like about this branch is the place, especially in the morning you can see the full view of Twin Lakes. We went here 10:30pm until midnight. I think there are only 3 remaining Starbucks branches in Tagaytay that is operating until 12mn; Twin Lakes, the one in Robinson and the other one near Rotonda (correct me of I'm wrong lol).

Retirement home
La Bella Boutique Hotel is a luxurious establishment that boasts of distinctive and vibrant accommodations. The hotel features uniquely decorated quarters with whimsical murals that pay homage to French art and fashion, as well as colorful adornments. Additionally, the exterior of La Bella's building resembles the popular architecture from Santorini, Greece where white and blue hues are maximized for aesthetic appeal. Guests can indulge in organic cuisine at the hotel's cafe or take a dip in the outdoor pool and hot tub for relaxation purposes.
Overall, I recommend this santorini-feel experience. It is a welcome respite from the bustke of the city. Check-in through prebooking by Agoda was a breeze. The interior design exudes with artistic expressions and influence with highlight on the native art of Ifugao. The elevator provided easy access to rooms although the keycard doesn't have access on the elevator to go up to the Roof Deck bar. The unit we booked was of two rooms with a lounging area with cable TV and dining table. Free bottled water greeted my family. The pantry has goblets and cuos and saucers. Bathrooms that are super clean have hot showers with free organic soaps, toohtbrushes and toothpastes. Their toilets have bidets, yehey! Towels smelled clean and fresh. The beds are fitted with memory foam that eased my back pain making it really comfy. The nice thick blanket and pillows smelled clean too! Lighting inside the room was warm. I brought my nylon guitar with me so plucking it added classy feel to the ambience haha. You can also order food by calling the celphone of the Italian Resto, Bella Ciao, for yummy Italian menu. Other restaurants, though a bit pricey, are also conveniently located on the ground floor (Organico) and outside the building across the clean street inside the compound of La Bella. In general, our stay during this Holy Week was relaxing. It helped us meditate because the place was quiet and serene. Bird sounds are what you hear in the early morning, calling for a nice walk and exercise. And finally, all staff were really courteous! Thank you La Bella Boutique Hotel!

We stayed here inquiring for the best rooms. We availed a room with balcony to enjoy fresh air but the room given to us have a broken door so we can't access the small balcony. It also claims that they have mountain view but there's none. Weak and unstable wifi signal, no netflix subscription, you need to pay for an extra pillow, they'll only provide you 2 pillows. The room is too small for the price. The slippers is not available and should be requested. The rooms are also too thin, we could hear hammering and alarm noises during midnight which disturbed our sleep. There are restaurants around which are a bit pricey for the quantity of their serving but still the food taste great and we enjoyed it. Nonetheless, the cleanliness is commendable, high water pressure with heater, staffs are great and hotel service are fine. Everything in this hotel is photogenic and what other call as "aesthetic". Some facilities are closed. Verdict: service are great, staffs are great but would like for the admin to maintain the facilities properly. There are broken doors and we can't maximize what we paid for. The rooms are too pricey for the quality if amenities you can avail for a 3 star hotel.
JM Soli — Google review
Definitely not coming back here. The room is so tiny. We can literally bump into each other while fixing our luggage. The bathroom is very old and narrow, not to mention the rust on its door and all the yellow stains on the floor. VERY Unhygienic! Key cards are malfunctioning, same with the water heater (had to call maintenance several times). The pool is small so we haven't had the chance to use it, since the Hotel shares it with the residents (Plus its very cold!) This is the real example of expectation VS reality.

Great place to stay around Tagaytay area. It does not have any Taal Volcano view since it's on the other side of the road but I would say it has a good room, accommodating service and relaxing location. If you're coming from Sta. Rosa exit of Calax, it would be around 45 minutes to get there without any traffic along Tagaytay mainroad. Arriving at the place, there is a security check point where you need to provide your valid ID. I also discovered that they also have some those renting and owned units so I don't know the review there. (Maybe some time). For the hotel stay experience, it was beautiful. We arrived late but there's an available front desk for check in. There's also a lot of covered parking spaces. There were also elevators to take us in our rooms at 3F. Rooms have their own air conditioning units, TVs, heater at the washroom (Please revisit all equipment if working well esp for room 302) and some complimentary items. When we booked via Booking, we didn't get with the free breakfast, however it didn't hold us to have a good meal beside the hotel (less than 20 steps from the main door) to start the day. They have very limited choices but it was nice since it was a good deal. There's a swimming pool and forest facilities though I didn't try to swim and explore. Hoping I can be back for another good hotel experience. To add they have function rooms and outdoor space. Contact them to get the details.

Location is too far from the main road better make sure you have your own transportation so that you get in and out of the hotel to move around tagaytay. Also, the service is very poor. We stayed there with 6 guests and when we requested additional keycards they told us they cannot give us additional ones. We also ruquested additional toiletries like soap and shampoo but they only gave is one tiny soap. Tinnier than the budget soap you can buy from a sari-sari store. We requested also additional cutlery like a spoon so we can make coffee inside the room and they gave us only one that we had to use the coffee sachets to stir the coffee in the mug. In additon their pool is not heated. Imagine, in Tagagaytay's weather and the pool is not heated. You'll get sick just dipping in freezing cold water. Checking out is also not smooth. We already checked out in the reception and were already at the guard house only to find out that we need to get additonal "clearance" from reception before we can get out of the place. We had to go back again to the reception to get it considering that the guard house is located far from the reception area. All in all the experience is bad. It is like the staff is undermanned and that they do not know what they are doing.

+ the hotel lobby and outdoor look overall is nice - the pool is kinda small for all guests. We were just 5ppl and it felt crowded. only 1 lounge seating by the pool. + clean room and hallways + the room we booked is 1 bedroom and it's very spacious. - the furniture feels cheap. It's mostly made of metal just painted in white. It feels like outdoor furniture, it is not comfy and the smell of the room is like a strong chemical from cleaning products. + the staff is very polite. + peaceful area + quiet area no traffic / car sounds

As an American living in the Philippines, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised by certain things anymore, but this hotel isn't really designed for foreigners. 1. Cable TV is local only. Not much choice to watch, even for my Filipina wife. 2. Bathroom is tiny and certainly not of a design I'd seen before. Shower and toilet are right next to each other, and I mean, inches from each other. 3. They only give you one pillow and if you ask for more you are charged 50 pesos. 4. (actually should be #1) This is 2023, not 2003, the WiFi was horrible! Slow, connections keep dropping, etc. There's absolutely no excuse for that in 2023. Because of #1, wanted to watch YouTube but streaming wasn't possible. 5. A severe lack of easy to get to power ports to plug in laptops, chargers for cell phones, etc. People not only surf the net these days but we all travel with our tech and need to plug them in. 6. We ate dinner in the restaurant off the lobby. We ordered appetizers and main courses. Both appetizers and my meal came at the same time. My wife got hers as I was finishing up mine. Big pet peeve of mine. Appetizers should be delivered first, and main courses should be delivered together! Given that we were the only couple in the restaurant, that shouldn't have been a problem. On a positive note, the staff is very friendly and attentive. For example, the remote for the Aircon wasn't working when we got to our room. Someone replaced it fast. We did ask for another pillow for the 50 pesos, and that was delivered very quickly. My wife and I are traveling around Central Luzon as we decide on where to build our new home, so we are staying in a variety of places. I typically like these Boutique Hotels, but this one, I would pass on if I ever come back to Tagaytay.

Overrated. The place is no longer well-maintained. The ads on social media are not exactly what you will experience when you go there. If you book in La Bella Residences, you are not allowed to go to the hotel, like even in the lobby to take pictures. The restaurants they show on social media are already closed, they only have Sweet Knot, Mendiola's and an Italian resto (I forgot the name). Bodhi is already closed. Menu on these restaurants are too expensive but the quality if food is not really worth the price. Service is also slow! The glass pool and the pool itself is too small, you won't have great pictures when the place is too crowded. The jacuzzi has a separate payment of like 1,000 for 2hours I believe. The rooms are small, wifi is not too strong. Nothing really special in this place.

I recently had the pleasure of staying here at La bella boutique hotel nestled in a serene pine forest, and I couldn't have been more delighted with my experience. The Santorini-inspired architecture added a touch of Mediterranean elegance to the tranquil surroundings. The scent of pine in the air was refreshing, and the view of towering trees from my room was simply enchanting. The hotel's attention to detail was evident throughout my stay. The interior decor seamlessly blended Santorini's iconic white and blue hues, creating a calming and sophisticated atmosphere. The staff's warm hospitality made me feel right at home, and their recommendations for nearby coffee shops added an extra layer of convenience and delight to my mornings. Speaking of coffee shops, the ones surrounding the hotel were an absolute gem. Each offered a unique and cozy ambiance, perfect for enjoying a leisurely cup of coffee while soaking in the natural beauty that surrounded me. It was a delightful way to start my days and unwind in the evenings. Overall, my experience at this Santorini-inspired boutique hotel surrounded by pine trees and delightful coffee shops was nothing short of magical. If you're seeking a peaceful escape with a touch of Mediterranean charm, I wholeheartedly recommend a stay here.

I am not recommending this place. To any consolation there is a tight security in the area.I am still suffering from all the mosquito bites up until now and flies are everywhere. My honest opinion is that this used to be a great place but the totality of the experience is far worst than expected. The room smells bad and really small. The internet is not working and there is not much food option specially the breakfast. These are non negotiable points in hospitality but you completely missed out on that part.

Visited this restaurant while traveling to Quezon. It is well-known among riders and families on road trips. The establishment is spacious and tranquil, offering diners the option to eat in floating Kubos or at various tables in the area. Despite lacking air conditioning, the beautiful surroundings make alfresco dining enjoyable. The menu boasts a wide variety of Filipino dishes, including grilled milkfish and mixed vegetables for the main course, as well as a special dessert called halo-halo.
A best place for family bonding. It was cold when we went here, I can compare the weather in Tagaytay. The food is good and affordable. The scenery is very relaxing and kids friendly.

*Overall rating is Poor. *Food Quality - Poor *Staff Services - Poor looks exhausted *Table Reservation Services- Poor ..should stop accepting costumers f if there is a LONG queue of waiting. ( so that they will look for other option (restaurants) * Parking Attendant - Excellent able to find a slots althought situation was hectic. AMAZING place along Tayabas Lucban bypass, after a long trip we found this restaurant I was amazed of the nature ambience but disappointed. Spent 1.5 hrs waiting from table assignment (accepted this is normal) but waiting for almost 2 hrs for our order plus the Food quality is poor seafoods are not fresh overall 2* star rating, that's encourage me to make my personal review, not expecting of poor seafood quality, delay can be adjusted, affected our travel time going back to Manila. to prevent similar scenario in the future, apply standard table services) offer drinks (water) to costumers then serve the food one at time which ever is ready to prevent costumers from thinking of long waiting. Hope this review helps a lot. There is always room for improvement.

With a large parking space. There is a special atmosphere because you can eat there in a floating nipa hut. A wide variety of food. While you wait for your food order, you can purchase kakanin such as pilipit, butchi, puto, and many others.

This place has been operating for over 30 years. Food is still satisfying. Ambiance is conducive to rest. Cool breeze, sound of water in the background and greenery all around.

My dad missed this place so he brought all of us here for lunch. We went here during a Sunday and it was a good thing that we arrived early because this place gets crowded fast during lunchtime. Their menu mainly consists of Filipino seafood (Duh! Palaisdaan nga eh) but they also serve a few pork, chicken, beef and vegetable viands. Food was tasty and inexpensive. Our floating cottage was spacious enough to accommodate our group which was composed of 10 adults and 2 kids. Beautiful atmosphere which is always a big plus since we all know that we love taking pictures. And lastly, I want to mention that they have several hand washing stations (with liquid soap) scattered around the restaurant so I can say that it is safe and enjoyable when one is to eat with their hands.

It's Sunday it's family day. And celebrating the birthday of my husband. We waited for an hour for our food because the place is almost full. But it's worth the wait. We enjoyed our food so much. We are definitely coming back to some other occasion.

Kamayan sa Palaisdaan in Tayabas Quezon gives customers an avenue to dine with the nature. You may choose from a wide variety of Filipino food or even a family/barkada set that you may share for big group. Really enjoyed the grilled hito, calamares and crispy pata. Do not miss out the home cooked bagoong alamang perfectly paired to sliced green mangoes, tomatoes, white onions and salted egg. This is just 5km away from iconic Kamay ni Jesus.

The Ambiance was great However, we had to wait for 1 hour and 15 mins for 4 dishes. Some of my family members and guests already fell asleep to such waiting time. Upon serving we immediately noticed that the chicken was still undercooked (the blood still visible and is still dripping out). When we reached out to one of the food servers, dedma lang sila and claims to be on lunch break. Keep note you still have to pay 10 or 12 php for takeout containers. Can't recommend this place due to bad experience. This is a place to avoid if you're starving. Really Hope they have improvements.

Went here to eat lunch during our ride to Quezon. From the looks of it, this is very famous to fellow riders and families on road trip. The place is big and very relaxing. Customers can choose to dine in their floating Kubo or the many tables available within the area. There's no air conditioned room but with the beauty of the place, you don't need it and it's best to dine alfresco. There are lot of food to choose from, all Filipino dish. We tried the inihaw na bangus and pakbet for our main dish. Special halo-halo for dessert. I can say we enjoyed the food. Very affordable price but the taste is still good. Really value for money. There are also sweet delicacies you can buy as pasalubong and again the price are really cheap. Staffs are also friendly and warm. Will be back next time with family.

Wonderful location for a relaxed lunch. The private rafts gave a relaxed feel and we were well shaded. The menu choice is broad so there’s something for everyone. The live “jukebox” played a couple of requests and provided a perfect accompaniment to any occasion, birthdays, weddings, family gatherings.

If you're looking for a tranquil getaway in Tagaytay, head to Sonya's Garden Bed and Breakfast. The garden offers guests a relaxing oasis with lovely surroundings, while the restaurant provides cozy seating and delicious food. Special celebrations are especially popular here, so be sure to check their calendar!
Nature's finest! a RESTAURANT serving organically grown, pesticide-free veggies and edible flowers. This food costs 750 pesos breakfast course meal. Better if you try their lunch and dinner meals. Very accommodating staffs with unli per batch servings. It's definitely worth it.

I had a quick visit there yesterday. By the time I arrived, it was dark. The place for me is beautiful but I think it’s much nicer during the daytime. It’s a bit creepy at night because of the lights. I wanted to have some snacks and coffee but all what they had was a buffet. It’s a bit pricey. However the staffs let us groom around. They have a spa, acupuncture sessions available there. It’s worth visiting.

We visited Sonya’s Garden for my daughter’s 18th birthday. I would say it’s great experience staying here. It’s magical, relaxing and invites good vibes.Amazing hospitality! Staffs are friendly ,approachable, and familiar of almost of the plants around. Great hospitality from arrival to check out. They are surprise set up for my daughter in the room when we arrived. Severs in the dining area is also superb, our server Eyie gave my daughter a surprise cake and birthday song from the rest of the kutchen staff. Thank you Sonya’s for giving our short visit a great one!!!

I have been going to this restaurant since 2001 when it was still fairly new and met Ms. Sonya herself. It was so quaint back then. Now it has grown so much but the taste has stayed the same. Though I miss the simplicity and elegance back then when she used Mikasa plates and had green mosquito net walls, it is still a nice place to visit and celebrate family occasions.

Buffet spread wasn't worth the price of Php 1065 per head. Some of the few things we liked were the bread and dips, the roasted chicken, and the fruits. The chicken cream pasta sauce was way too sweet. There weren't many people, and the ambiance was good, but the music was sad and repetitive. The waiters were attentive and accommodating. I just didn't like how they are always lurking around asking for permission to bust out empty dishes. Nice to say that we have tried it here because of the hype, but probably won't come back again.
Genevive Dilig — Google review
Food still good. But being a regular customer, it's sad that the Sonya's Garden today is a far, far cry from the Sonya's Garden of the mid 2000s. I remember they used to serve shrimp in their buffet. Then it became fried salmon. Now they replaced salmon with chicken. I understand they had to do this to maintain a reasonable price. And the buffet is still great. But if I had a time machine, I'd prefer to visit Sonya's Garden mid 2000s.

We just had a day tour so I can't rate the rooms pero overall maganda and relaxing yung place. Staff are attentive and very friendly. One of the good thing sa service nila is kahit they accept day tours, they made sure na di madidisturb yung mga naka check in nila na guests but at the same time they did not make the walk in/day tour guests feel unwelcomed. One of Sonya's main attractions I think would be the day beds and mini cottage scattered around the trails ng garden na very comfortable upuan and napaka instagramable. Saglit lang yung stay namin sayang di kami nakapagpa spa pero i bought stuff from their apothecary and nagustuhan ko yung mga soap nila dahil napaka simple ng formula and the ingredients are all natural so very friendly sa skin. They have wedding packages and private accomodations for big pax din pala so you can check it out if you are planning to have a garden themed wedding or just want to have a family get away.

We just visit Sonya’s for just a smog day, don’t get me wrong it’s still pretty and still renovating the place, we don’t have our lunch here this time just buy some stuff and bake goods. Staff are accommodating and friendly, place still clean and well maintained.

We only availed their lunch buffet. The place offers great ambience. All the food served tastes great. I will say, though, if you like your food very salty/very sweet, this is not the place for you. The washrooms are clean, spacious and equipped with bidets.
Maxilino Ramirez — Google review
We ate at the buffet. Salad and soup was great though it is a little expensive overall. Not worth trying again. Buffet was the only option when we visited and it was served to us- not really buffet style, more like a 5 course meal that you can refill (except for the roasted chicken). The garden at night is great for taking pictures.

If you've eaten from their buffet years ago and you liked what you had, no worries there, they still offer the same dishes and drinks, from first course to dessert. The a la carte menu has been changed slightly with the addition of new dishes though. Still love the interiors and fresh feel of the surrounding.

Reviewing the restaurant only for ala carte dining. The place was relaxing nice to go for a walk. The restaurant vibe was nice and cozy, food looked vibrant and fresh, it tasted really good too. They said their all organic so I'm happy that I was eating healthy too. Would dine here again when in Tagaytay.

Beautiful, calming place. The food is okay. I just don't like how they want to clean your plate everytime it's nearly empty. Maybe they want to keep your space clean but I just feel like they are rushing me. Other than that, this is a nice place if you want to relax. The place is spacious. The toilet is clean. The parking is big.

This is one of the great resort gems of not only tagaytay, not just the Philippines, but of the world. Every detail is meticulously thought over. When you enter this resort you have entered heaven incarnate. The staff are incredibly kind and genuine. The gardens are enchanting and mesmerizing. The food is delectable and served omekase style and both breakfast and dinner is included in the cost, which means you never have to think about where your next meal is going to come from. Sonya is an incredible woman and has a heart of gold. I spent 3 months here and fell in love with the resort and consider it a true home. They treated me like royalty and went above and beyond to keep me happy and taken care of. I honestly I feel like I am married to the resort. I will return here every year for the rest of my life. Thank you so much.

Sonya's Garden is everything we expected, and more. I had my doubts in the beginning because the rooms have no air-conditioning and I they have been around for years so i was afraid the property may be run down. On the contrary, all of Sonya's Garden was so beautiful maintained. Staying in their cottage without ac gave you a provincial feel and did not feel warm at all (though we did go in December). The white crisp linens they use in both their rooms and dining area were not only beautiful and how they maintained them is quite impressive. Everyone were nice and we got to meet Sonya herself. She was so warm and gracious that we ended up buying her book and asking her to sign it for us. They play beautiful 50s music in their dining area and made the experience so relaxing.

We only stayed 1 night because our flight was delayed. I wish we didn't have other plans otherwise we would have stayed longer. Loved our cottage, the FOOD, the massage, the beautiful plants everywhere, and of course the staff! Thank you so much for an amazing first day home in a long time.

Their Salad was good. They racked up the price for their unlimited salad and pasta to 1400+. It used to be less than 1k. It is no longer worth it since the only meat on that price is filled chicken.

Sonya's Garden is a true hidden gem. I stayed here for 4 nights and I loved every second of it. There are plenty of ways to stay inside and relax. Plenty of spa options, massages, mani/Pedi, etc to help you stay relaxed. In addition the food here is some of the best you will have anywhere in the world. The breakfast and dinners were beyond anything I have experienced. The pancakes were literally the best I have had anywhere in the world. The staff was very friendly and helpful and had an answer for any question that I had. They were very helpful and did a wonderful job cleaning the room every day. They were helpful with information for local places to visit and arranging transportation. I was fortunate enough to be able to experience this place in the pouring rain and it was beautiful and serene. There is a tuktuk/tricycle stop right outside the gate that makes getting to the main town easy. Also the road along Sonya's garden is great for a walk with many sari-sari stores and a pleasant milk tea stand.

Very nice place. My philippino friends took me to the restaurant and I really enjoyed it. The food is very delicious. You can only go for the buffet, which offers salads, pasta, chicken, soup, desserts,.. also edible flowers, for example. Or you also addionally can order a la carte. I highly recommend ordering that beef soup/broth, it's one of the best I ever had. There's no AC, but a clever system with natural airflow and airfans, which made it very enjoyable. The restrooms are clean, and you can have a walk through the beautiful gardens. Would visit this place definetly again.

Cloud 9 is a leisure complex that features a 360 view deck and restaurants. It is well-known for its attractions, including the bridge that offers a panoramic view of the surrounding area.
The view here is nice from the deck of the restaurant because we never got to try the bridge as the lane is long and the place was crowded on Sundays. Hope we can go back to try the bridge and go to the 360 view deck. Also, the restaurant is full so we ate outside but there were small stalls outside the restaurant which offers milk tea and some Antipolo delicacies.

The restaurant is very different way back then. Food is okay but the portion size is smaller. The hanging bridge is scary at night coz it's very windy, but the view from the 360 view deck is really amazing! Bring a jacket it's cold at night 🥶🥶🥶

Lower your expectations, if you're a tourist when you come to this place. It's a semi self-serve restaurant where the waiter hands you your own plates to set yourself and pick up your own pitcher of water. It's quite difficult to call the waiter's attention if you need something. Unfortunately they include service charge in the bill for such mediocre service. The place is run down, neglected, dusty and the structure is rusty. The museum area does have some interesting pieces but the text and description of some items are misplaced or the print is too small. I can imagine how this place was nice and decent at one time.

It's okay. Not the most fun to spend a birthday. The food is expensive and the bridge is a bit boring but okay. The dizzy house is fine. Nothing much to see. Just metro manila and buildings..

A very spacious restaurant with great views of Metro Manila and all its tall buildings. Cloud 9's main feature is the fantastic narrow suspension bridge that brings you up higher in elevation above the restaurant & rewards you with even better & uninterrupted views of downtown Metro Manila. Good views during the day, even more stunning at night. The suspension bridge is an extra P100 entry fee and is not for the faint hearted and does afraid of heights. The restaurant food is reasonable, but far from being great. It is safe to assume the visiting public did not come to Cloud 9 for its restaurant food, but rather it spectacular views. There is plenty of parking close by to the restaurant entry, able to accommodate plenty of visitor cars.

First time to come here with friends. Relaxing, breezy and refreshing escape from the buzz of the city. There is a magnificent view of the city skyline below with all the lights. There is a hanging bridge suspended 150meters that connects an adjacent tower that offers 360° view down below. Upon descending the tower, there are also collections of paintings that can be viewed and appreciated. They also have a small museum showcasing relics and archeological finds of our ancestors during the pre- and colonial era of the Philippines. A good place to bring the whole family. Just have to plan your travel time ahead as traffic can be horrible if you are coming from Manila (2hours or so) and you want to witness the sunset in the vuew deck before having dinner

Most of the food are delightful and good for sharing. Fast service and the prices are reasonable. You can take pictures while waiting for your orders to be served. This place is famous for its hanging bridge. It is worth the try because of the nice view on top. This is an ideal place for family day. They also serve alcohols so barkada nights could be held here. Not air-conditioned place. Parking is available and the staff are really kind. Take outs are available.

The food is good and the servings stated is quite accurate. The Fried Tilapia, though, left much to be desired. The service could use an upgrade. We were almost finished eating when two of our orders came. This was despite our efforts to follow it up. When we do ask someone for it, that staff will simply ask another. Quite unprofessional. The atmosphere is OK-ish. It had a view of the Metro Manila area but it was raining when we came so visibility was very limited.

Went back last weekend, Sep 23 '23 with the smog but thankfully the rains lessened it. Had a great time despite the weather. Second try to eat at the resto this year and the food was surprisingly good.. try their calamares, beef and kare kare! Next time I know what to order again.

Great place to chill with friends or family. Parking is ample but a bit steep driving up. There's an attendant there but hope there's also one at the exit. Tried the for the cold weather food because it was chilly. The bulalo though have less meat and more veggies. Their coffee there is good too. Place tends to be noisy and busy even for a late night out. The view is great but haven't tried the hanging bridge/observatory yet.
Edgar Kho — Google review
There's an entrance fee if you want the hanging bridge experience. No fee if you're just gonna eat at the resto. I probably expected too much. Food was just okay, average I can say. They say liempo is good for 3 persons but it's not. Just enough for 2. Bulalo was not hot when served. They do serve generously when it comes to plain rice. Overall, I would say that everthing is ordinary except for the view. Going here with private vehicle is easier than commuting, as the way from the entrance to the parking lot was way too far and too steep. Hard to park and exit is scary esp for beginner drivers because the way out is directly to the highway. For commuters, it will be a exhausting walk uphill... so good luck. I don't think I'll visit the place again. Once is enough.

Balaw Balaw Restaurant and Art Gallery in Angono, Rizal is known for its exotic food and cuisines. It offers a unique dining experience with its Minaluto menu item, which is served in a large wooden basin filled with a diverse selection of dishes from both land and sea. This family-owned establishment was founded by the late artist Perdigon N. Vocalan and his wife Luzvimin, and it has become a popular tourist destination in the area.

This place has not changed at all. It is the same as it looked when i first went here (1990's). We were the only diners when we arrived and also the only diners when we left. We ordered the Crispy Kangkong, Sinigang na Kanduli sa Miso, Ensaladang Talong sa Gata, Minaluto and Guinumis. Our order arrived in probably 30 to 40 Minutes. Not the Restaurant if you are in a hurry as they probably cook everything when ordered only. The Sinigang na Kanduli sa Miso was delicious, its sourness was spot on. The Minaluto had a little bit of everything, the Shrimps, Crab and Tahong were fresh. The Kangkong and Adobo were also good. The Ensaladang Talong was also delicious. Servings were okay for the price. It was a Good Lunch and the Servers were friendly and Efficient.

I am not into cooking, but I love eating! One thing that I would like to share was an amazing encounter with exotic foods at Balaw Balaw Restaurant in Angono, Rizal. So, after enjoying the famous Higantes Festival, while our clothes are wet, we headed to this specialty restaurant, which is one of the prominent restaurants outside Metro Manila. I consider it as one of the must visit, best place to dine, and the best restaurants serving exotic foods. 11/23/2012

We didn't get a chance to try their exotic food as most of them are not available. We arrived there at around 5:30pm so I suggest that you go here as early as possible where their stock is available or you can call and inform them ahead of time. Besides the exotic food, their local food is very delicious and is a great match for having a drink. Price is great. Parking here is difficult as it is a street parking but it is worth the hassle to try and taste their local and exotic dishes.

It was a great experience! Perfect for people who are into arts. Cool with different vibe. Staff are excellent too! They accept cards and ewallet payments. Food is okay, we ordered kare kare (for some reason, no taste of peanut and it's on the sweet side), the mango salas was great and the grilled tahong. Didn't try kuhol but my husband didn't also like it, too exotic. Overall, it was a great experience!

OMG, the food here is the best in Angono!!! To all the tourists who like to check first where to go, THIS. IS. YOUR. SIGN. I didn't expect it at first to be that good. When we arrived, I thought of it like another usual local restaurant. But when the food got served, and when I took my first bite of their Balaw Balaw Rice, I got really surprised because there was this explosion of flavor that I only experienced when I dine in fancy restaurants. It also has an art exhibit (mix of paintings, wooden sculptures, and paper machés used during the Higantes festival. This experience is one of my best decisions ever. We almost went to tagaytay, but thankfully, I chose to visit Angono.

There is also an art gallery for enthusiasts. Food is pricey but the service and atmosphere makes the experience worth it.

Local food is served here plus some exotic dishes like rabbit and eel. The place is old and has that "old house" smell. Some areas were dark. The plus factor are the local artworks on exhibit. There were some really interesting pieces especially in the wood carving section. Some of the paintings are for sale.

The place is magical and the cabin feels so relaxing. We had an early morning walk around TEDS compound and the pool is warm to swim in ❤️ The food in Teds Kitchen is like a five star food you order in hotels. This is an overdue review from my experience in Ted's Kitchen and Ted's B&B, five years ago. In our 1 week stay, I could say that it was a great food experience. A stay in Ted's B&B has complimentary breakfast from Ted's Kitchen, with wide variety of choices. From angus beef, pancakes, waffles to kesong puti. During dinner we've got carbonara, Big Daddy's burger at Fisherman's platter. All are a must try. My sweet cravings were fully satisfied, I've got to try Braso de fernando, bibingka cheesecake, mango sansrival, oreo cake, and orange caramel cake. I really love their cakes! We have also experienced bonfire+s'mores. They also offer free night treats from hot choco, milk or tea with peanut cookies. Ted's B&B is a serene place with cabins enclosed in green trees. Every morning you'll hear the chirping of birds.

The Restaurant and staff were great. Food selection was also good conpared to the other restaurants in the area thats why we went there the next day. First day we had the angus ribeyesteak and salad. The steak was good but a bit thin for the price. I was missing the char since it did say it was grilled. The grilled apple and walnut salad was good. On the second day we had ribs and the roasted angus beef. Ribs was good with the sauce, the angus beef lacked a bit of salt but tastes well with the gravy. The corn and mashed potato needed seasoning. The braso Fernando was an ok desert

This restaurant can easily be miss if looking for first time, not a very attractive entrance, 2 trees on both sides w shrub hides this from public eyes, but a surprise awaits you when one gets in, very homely atmosphere, provincial, Texas country-style. Reminds me of home.

Had Eggs Benedict and Lychee Mint Fruitshake. It was sumptuous and delicious. Though there were some delays in the serving time, thus, rating 3 star.

Highly recommended! Excellent food taste and service. The ambiance is very welcoming so as the staff and the price is not bad. The place is clean and can accommodate large group. The old house which was transformed into a resto is such a homey place to dine with. So if you are looking for a Spanish inspired place try and you'll gonna love this!

Whenever we come home for vacation, this is one of the places we always visit. I' ve always enjoyed their pasta and pizza.Actually, it was my all time favorite restaurant in Laguna. However, during our most recent visit it seemed not to be the same as before. The taste was just fine but not as enjoyable as before.Even the pizza seemed to have a different crust now although you would really feel it was freshly baked and made but there was something off about it. I guess a little too chewy for me but I wouldn't say it was that bad because it still tasted well but just below my expectation as I tried it a countless times before. The drinks were superb though specially the milkshake that my kid enjoyed. The chocolate spoon was a surprise for her! Overall, the food is ok but not as great as I remember it before. The place was good but quite gloomy.Price is definitely not on the cheaper side but a little above average.

This became my go-to posh restaurant and I miss some of their old dishes. If you want to spend more money on food, I would suggest supporting local restaurants like this one. The place has enough space for people to walk around and is quite friendly for PWD. Restroom is well-mentained too.

One of the top notch restaurants in Sta. Cruz, Laguna. Best choice for breakfast if you want a sumptuous meal. Serving size is actually good for 2 average persons, so although the price is quite high, it's worth it!

When visiting Sta. Cruz, Laguna, one of the easiest-to-spot restaurants is Ted’s. It looks homey and welcoming, attracting guests and visitors. The interior would remind you of your granny’s place. They also have a shaded al fresco setup which is equally inviting. However, in my opinion, the flavors don’t justify how the restaurant looks. Everything tasted plain and a bit bland. I can sense the effort in making their food more visually appealing, though—but it still has a lot to improve. They also sell cakes and cookies ideal as pasalubong items.

We've been to Ted's three times already and everytime we go there our impression of the place diminishes. The ambiance is okay, I like the rustic feel of the place but I think it ends there. We were there last Sunday for an afternoon snack after grocery and I would say it's the final nail in the coffin. It took so long for the food to be served and when they arrived, they're just meh... Mom's pumpkin soup was cold and it tasted blunt. The clubhouse sandwich was also blunt and doesn't even have chicken in it. The french fries in the fish and chips were also blunt, with very little to no seasoning at all. Don't get me wrong, I know the difference between lightly seasoned and blunt tasting food. My salmon and spinach pasta took forever to be served, good thing it was pretty good and still hot when it arrived. I did try to follow up and asked how many minutes it would still take but the server just told me he doesn't know. It would have been better if there was a little sense of customer service in his response. The food may look appealing but don't be deceived, they don't taste as good as they appear to be. Anyway, we're not going back. As simple as that.
