Good place to watch sunset. It get very crowded at the time of sunset. Parking space is there but it gets filled real fast during sunset time. Garden is beautiful and clean. No eatables or plastic bags are allowed inside garden. Grass was clean and flowers were blooming. Lot of seating space in the amphitheater like structure. Its good to be there during evening. there is a temple next to garden where you can hear loud chants..it makes the while experience majestic.

Loved this place. The view was so amazing to see sunset. Sunset was not visible as it was drizzling here and there. But that was not bad either. It was beautiful to see various clouds moving as well. Also, they were constricting and renovating the view path. The place was clean. Visitors did not trash the place much. The park had lots of greens and flowers. Once the construction is complete, I trust that there would be more adjacent view points.

Raja’s seat is basically a well maintained park which has wide variety of flowers planted at the entrance and various animal statues installed all over the park. Kids would enjoy this place. Once you reach the other end of the park, the view will just blow your mind. The best time to visit the place would be during sunset. There is a sitting area with benches to sit, relax and enjoy the sunset. Parking area for vehicles is about 100 meters away from the park.

Abbey falls

Mentioned on
Abbi falls, a popular tourist destination located in Madikeri, can be reached through a winding road with decent conditions. During weekends, there may be long queues of vehicles and visitors should expect a descent via uneven stairs. The area is surrounded by coffee plantations while the falls itself offers breathtaking views. Unfortunately, the hanging bridge is currently broken but tourists can still view the falls from afar.
Reaching Abbi falls from Madikeri is a very meandering drive with decent roads. Since it was the weekend, vehicles were lined up and it took a while to reach and park. The ticket counter is quick and wait is less than 5 mins. (Rs 10 and 5 for adult and kid resp) Once in, its a long descent to reach the falls and there are uneven stairs. Old people should refrain from venturing in. The walkway has coffee plantation on either side. Once the falls come into view, its a beauty. Hanging bridge is broken! Can see the falls from a distance. Then it's a tedious walk back up. There are shops opp to the ticket counter and people throng these and don't allow vehicles to pass. Ideally these shops must be moved to the parking area.

Nice place to enjoy with children. Highly recommended to visit with children they do like it. It's even safe where they won't allow you to reach near falls. Fully covered with a fence. Please maintain clean.

Abbi Falls is a popular tourist destination located in the district of Kodagu in Karnataka, India. The waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery and offers a breathtaking view. I had the opportunity to visit Abbi Falls recently and here's my review of the experience. To reach the waterfall, you need to walk some distance from the top using stairs. At the base, you can buy some food to ease your journey. The road till the fall is nice and well maintained, making the journey smooth and hassle-free. However, the place can get very crowded, so it's advisable to plan your visit accordingly. During the peak season, there will be a huge line of cars, and you might need to walk a long distance to reach the waterfall. As for the waterfall itself, it's good, but unfortunately, you cannot go near the water. However, you can observe the waterfall from a distance, and the view is spectacular. The sound of the water gushing down the rocks is truly mesmerizing. In conclusion, Abbi Falls is a must-visit place for nature lovers and those looking to spend some time amidst the tranquility of nature. Despite the crowds, the view of the waterfall is worth the effort of reaching it.
Onkar Date — Google review
Amazing view. We visited during monsoon and it was in its full color. Loved the ambience. Though for elders it can be a little problem to visit the falls, as one needs to go down around 100 stairs. But it is worth the effort once you reach there.
Ayana Mazumdar — Google review
The falls is truly beautiful and offers a short walk down to the falls through the coffee plantation. We were fortunate to watch it in its full glory. The water falls has a very narrow road leading up to it and then had a huge line when we went there. It took up nearly 3 hours of our trip to go and come back from the city centre. The ticket cost this 10 per person and 50 rupees for 4 wheeler parking.
Sayandeep Patra — Google review
Steep winding roads from Madikeri take you to this waterfall. Parking for 4 wheelers is near the entrance gate. Parking is managed well keeping in mind the jammed tourist season. Bigger vehicles need to park further away. Those coming by tempo travellers or buses need to walk to the entrance of the waterfall. Entrance ticket prices are reasonable. At the entrance, there are a couple of shops selling snacks. Walk down well maintained steps leading to the waterfall. With mother nature on both sides, if you are lucky, you may see some wildlife too. The strength in the waterfall depends on the season. In December, it wasn't too disappointing. Maybe after a good rain it would be better. Place is well maintained. And discipline is enforced for the good of all.
Neena Thomas — Google review
Had been there in early summer. It's a beautiful waterfall. Reasonable entry ticket. The pathway to the waterfall is very peaceful and greenery everywhere, very well maintained. There was a bridge before which allowed us to stand in the middle of the stream and take good photos but it's broken now.

The area around Abbi Falls is very scenic, with lush greenery and a variety of flora and fauna. Visitors can take a short trek through the forest to reach the falls, and there are several viewing platforms where you can get a closer look at the cascading water. The best time to visit Abbi Falls is during the monsoon season, between June and September, when the waterfall is at its full glory. However, the area can get quite crowded during this time, so be prepared for some crowds. It is also advisable to wear comfortable shoes and carry water and snacks, as the trek to the falls can be a bit challenging in some places. Overall, Abbi Falls is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Coorg, especially for nature lovers and those who enjoy outdoor activities.
Sai kumar YT — Google review
It's a beautiful view of the waterfall. But the surrounding has not looked good. There is a hanging bridge and it's broken. Not repaired. There are no seats to sit and enjoy the beauty of the waterfall. We can't go to near the waterfall , even a short distance into the water. Only can see from a distance. We visited June 11, 2023

If you want to visit Abbi falls you have to travel by a road There are entrance tickets @15/person. View of waterfall is Awesome, worth it. Climb down towards water fall within 20min. Climbing up is difficult for aged people.
Amin Gajia — Google review
Abbi Falls, located near Madikeri in Karnataka, India, is a scenic gem surrounded by lush greenery. The waterfall is a sight to behold, especially during the monsoon season when it cascades with great force. The pathway is well-maintained, providing excellent viewpoints for photography and relaxation. Remember to wear sturdy footwear, especially if visiting after rain. While swimming is not allowed, the falls offer a peaceful retreat for nature enthusiasts.
Kiran Gowda — Google review
This place is a must visit. The road which leads here adds to the enjoyment you get. You have plenty of parking here. Then you take a ticket to enter the trek path downhill which leads to the waterfalls. The path is fenced making us safe from wildlife. There are monkeys and other creatures in the surrounding forest. The path is really enjoyable as well. The waterfall is not so big, yet it's a joy to watch. You have to come back though the same way you went there.
Christy Tom — Google review
Pleasant experience walking through plantations. Entry fee is cheap. Probably they need to charge more and make the maintenance upto standard. Lots of benches but in very poor shape. The waterfall makes up for all the deficiencies. Despite peak summer adequate water and a treat to the eye.Must be a wonderful treat during monsoons.
Chandrasekhar K — Google review
Monsoon is the best time to visit this place as water level is very low during non monsoon period. Its beautiful though. You will also find a DSLR camera person with instant pic @50/- only.

Abbey Falls is a waterfall in Kodagu, in the Western Ghats of Karnataka, India. The waterfall is on the early reaches of the river Kaveri, located between private coffee plantations with stocky coffee bushes and spice estates and trees entwined with pepper vines. The falls was earlier called Jessi Falls, named after a British officer's wife. However, the place was a thick jungle back then. Years later, the waterfall was discovered by Mr. Neravanda B. Nanaiah who bought the place from the government and converted it into a coffee and spice plantation, which still surrounds the waterfall today. Must visit place in Madikeri… Best time to visit during June to October when it’s raining… waterfall is full of water There is a snacks shop at end near parking.. they sell Bread omelette and maggi tea coffee etc … But behavior of shop person is not good as well as too much priced … Maggi Rs. 60 per plate and Bread omelette Rs. 50 per plate Entry ticket is Rs. 10 INR per person
SUYASH KUMAR — Google review
The waterfall in itself and the pathway leading to the waterfall surrounded by coffee plantations is beautiful, but what mars the beauty of this place is the ill maintenance of the surroundings and the 10-feet tall fencing all around. One cannot really take in the beauty of this place in its entirety. There used to be a bridge near the falls, which is now closed and restricted, and hence, you have to witness the waterfalls from far and behind these fences. Take some pictures from the amongst the crowd, pushing around and get back.
Roy Subhajeet — Google review
There is 15-20 minutes walk to the falls through dense jungles and plantations is a wonderful experience for nature lovers with beautiful flowers all the way. From lush green coffee and cardamon plants to pepper vines on trees, you can see so many amazing things on the way.

We went on September nearing end of monsoon so the water flow was really good in the falls. Accessing the falls will be on the chargeable basis. But please note that you can’t drench or touch the water. This is “view only” falls. Raincoats were sold at this view point. You have to roughly cross 150 steps to get the view of falls. So for senior citizens not possible to get this view. No wheel chair accessibility as well. Local people’s warned that there are plenty of leaches in the water so be cautious. Parking available outside but entry and exit will be little congested.

Good place, from madikeri town have to travel an hour to reach here. Vehicle parking charge for bike is 20 rs. Entry fees to this destination is 10 per adult. This property opens at 9 am.We reached there at 10am and it was rush.after entry, need to walk through steps to reach waterfall. No directly access to water. Can see from view tower and take photos. Reaching back to entry need some physical strength as it wil be breath holding moment.there are some shops for eateries.

Abbey Falls can be a majestic sight, especially during the monsoon. However, in March, the water flow is weaker. But don't let that deter you! The walk down to the falls is a highlight in itself. You'll descend over 200 steps through coffee and spice plantations, and in March, these plantations are likely bursting with blooms, making the trek incredibly scenic. While you won't see the falls at their full power, it's still a refreshing escape and a great chance to experience Coorg's lush beauty.
Vijeesh P — Google review
To fully appreciate the serene beauty of the falls and avoid the crowds, it is advisable to arrive early. Early visits offer clear photo opportunities and a peaceful experience. The admission fee is Rs.10 per person, and there is a designated two-wheeler parking available for Rs.20. For nature enthusiasts, a scenic walk of about 10-15minutes through lush jungles and plantations awaits. This walk showcases a variety of beautiful flowers, including coffee and cardamom plants, as well as pepper vines on trees. In order to maintain the allure of the surroundings, it is important to be mindful of cleanliness. Please make use of the provided dustbins to dispose of any waste. Additionally, for those who prefer to drive, the road leading to Abby Fall is not only well-maintained but also provides a pleasant driving experience for both cars and two-wheelers.
Srinivas V — Google review
With a modest entry fee of 10Rs and a 20Rs charge for bike parking, it remains an affordable excursion. The journey to the waterfall involves a short walk downhill, adding a touch of adventure. A pro tip for shutterbugs: for the best photo spots, approach the security guards. A discreet tip may secure access to the left side of the gate, providing an optimal vantage point for capturing the natural beauty. This tactic often leads to stunning shots of the cascading water, enhancing the overall experience. Visitors appreciate the simplicity and tranquility of the location, making it an ideal destination for a quick getaway. While the amenities are basic, the charm of the waterfall and the picturesque surroundings make it a worthwhile visit for those seeking a peaceful retreat without breaking the bank.

You need to walk down a long stairs path to view abbey falls. Parking space is available and entry fee is around 20 per person. Try to visit in monsoon to experience the scenic beauty of abbey falls.

A very pleasant walk to the falls, with coffee trees on both sides. You can hear the sound of the falls even far away. Very tranquil. The falls are at a bigger scale than expected. Very nice.
Charlotte Yuk Yung LI — Google review
A great falls located near Madikeri! Went with my school friends, and while it was quite a 'trek' (walking along hilly roads with steep incline), the end view was simply marvelous. The falls is located at some distance from the parking, around a kilometer, and another few hundred meters from the main gate, so be prepared for walking. There is a view point (a cage like structure) from where you can see the falls.

Coorg Cuisine is a favourite chicken restaurant among locals and tourists alike. This simple, homely place serves lip smacking curries and pocket-friendly prices that add charm to the dishes. Must-try dishes include the Pandi Curry and Bamboo Shoot Curry, both of which can be paired with Neer Dosas, Akki Rotis or Ghee Rice.
Best place for non veg and pork, place gets crowded after 8pm and you have to wait for a table. Must try pork chops, passion fruit juice, and litchee pudding. Small portions but tasty. Service is good but due to the crowd you may take time to be attended. Crowded with young crowd in the area. Parking available easily in the evenings

We got this recommendation from many blogs and it was damn good! Has a nice rustic look and feel like the parsi joints of South Bombay. Ample parking down. Hosts are really courteous. Food and deserts are superb. Pricing is good. Just the waiting time but then they’ve setup chairs outside for comfort.

If you want to experience traditional local cuisine of Madikeri, then having your lunch/dinner is the prime destination - Coorg Cuisine. Service is good and quite a comfortable ambience. Wait time is less and food is served hot and very tasty. Ordered mutton gravy with neer dosas which was coconut based delicious gravy and soft dosas. Alongside tried their special pork chilly which was excellent in taste. Buttermilk was very yummy and thick which made us order for more than the capacity. Lastly beetroot halwa and tender coconut pudding made us crave a lot with definitely wanting for more. Food journey gave a good start to begin our holiday trip in Coorg 😊

We visited this restaurant during our vacation to Coorg. We had to wait outside for 10-15 minutes but tables were becoming free pretty quickly so we didn't have an issue. We had quite a few dishes, including Pork Curry, Pork Fry, Chicken Curry, Fish Curry, Ghee Rice, Appam, and Neer Dosa. In addition to this, I had Lime Soda. The food was uniformly great but the Pork Curry was maybe the best out of all the dishes. The service was very good, especially considering the rush. I would like to visit again if I travel to Coorg.

They serve authentic local dishes. We ordered egg coconut curry, bamboo shoot fry, rice noodles puttu, rice dumplings, and buttermilk. Everything was good. Curry was spicy and tasty. Heavy rains and adventurous us.. An authentic kodava cuisine place was a definite on the list. We were recommended this place called Coorg cuisine. Simple sitting joint but had a long waiting line during lunch hour. We ordered the Kodava Koli curry (chicken), Kori Yerchi curry (mutton), ghee rice, butter milk and multiple repeats of Neer dosa. Superfast service and delicious food with mostly coconut based curries. All items were flavorful and we ended up overeating. His attitude was nice. I visited on 31 st December 2023 with my family. I reached on time and I got the seat , their hospitality is nice. The food also tasty but Pandhi Curry tastes with more salt. We ordered Pandhi curry, pork chops, Neer Dosa, Akki Roti, Rice Dumplings, Pork fry. All items are tasty and mouth watering. Taste of Coorg masala with Kachampuli - vinegar also good.

If you are looking to try out authentic and traditional Kodava cuisine in Coorg, you can definitely check out this place. There could be waiting time of 15-30 mins depending on rush days. I had never eaten anything like this before. Even the litchi pudding was quite yummy.

Taste of Coorg is a small restaurant in Madikeri Fort serving some of the best pork curries in Coorg. The food here is authentically flavoured and very popular with locals and tourists alike. Chicken options are not as good as those for pork, but Akki roti is definitely worth a try.
Small place, but very tasty good. I had the pandhi curry with Akki roti and both were delicious. I was given a bowl of the chicken gravy, that was superb too. Small place though, very rustic and local.

It's a small outlet so don't expect anything fancy! I had the best experience both in service and food. I wanted to take a pork chilli parcel so called them up and by the time we reached that is in 10 mins the Pork Chilli was ready. I was skeptical about the freshness but it tasted so good and fresh. The cost is also very affordable!! Must try Pork Chilli!

Very early closing hours. More like a fast food. Pork pieces are of low quality, hard to bite despite frying. One woman show doesn't justify the Coorg authentic cuisine. Visit if on a budget and at your peril.

I placed ordered for 2 Portion of Chilly pork of Rs 160/- each portion .. I was shocked when I saw the The quantity was very very less..just 2 medium size spoon was given .. it was not enough for 1 person also.. when I asked with The owner why the quantity is less..his answer was very very rude..The owner did not offer an apology, nor did he offer any other form of compensation..I found this to be completely unacceptable. I would leave zero stars if I could. The food is mediocre for the price and to make it even worse it is not even close to authentic. You should not call yourself a "Taste of Coorg" It's a taste of worst.. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT EAT HERE.. Food is always off, food that is delivered GETS YOU SICK. DO NOT EAT HERE!

This 5-decade-old hotel in Madikeri retains much of its Victorian charm with high ceilings, open courtyard seating, and antique look. The food here is homely and comes in dosas (a type of pancake), mutton biryani, chicken curry, meatballs, and keema-filled dosas. The place also has a full bar.
We had lunch in this hotel and food was super tasty. Service provided was also very good . Non veg dishes specially chicken fry was yummy. Ambience and location of this hotel is very good. Having delicious food while watching nature was excellent experience. Hotel was super clean with good space for seating .

Came here as it was recommended as a place of legend that's been around for years. The view is nice and the restaurant was clean, spacious and had plenty of ventilation. The food was quite ghastly. All dishes tasted thr same. Mutton pulao had chunks of hard, chewy, undercooked mutton Chicken was dry as a bone. And all this gave me a bad stomach. Wouldn't be surprised if the food wasn't fresh. Oh and no pork was available. Do not recommend food here. It's alright for a quiet drink though.

The one star rating is for the service given by P.M. Rajesh who was as rude as it can get. Since the moment me and my family walked in, he was rude. We went outside to take a seat in their outdoor seating area and he just yelled at us and said that 4 people can't sit there. This was the second time I was here and even this time he was this rude. Then when asked where we can smoke, our waiter(Mrugesh, who by the way was so so sweet and very attending) said we can go outside. We went outside for a smoke only to he followed by Rajesh yelling at my 75 year grandfather while raising his hand at him. This is absolutely outrageous. He then started to threaten us by saying that "I have seen many people like you" and continuing to threaten my grandfather as he was complaining to the manager. It was almost as if he was just against my family and me for no reason. There was no response from the manager enough to take action against this behaviour. We felt unsafe and attacked and that is the worst thing to feel anywhere, let alone a vacation. I will not recommend anyone to go here, only and only for the terrible service and behaviour we experienced.

When ever i travel to Coorg i always make sure to stop here for their mouth watering keema dosa. A must visit place to enjoy authentic coorg food. Dont miss their keema dosa(served only for breakfast & evening)

Used to be one of my favourite places as a kid. I don’t know if the management changed, but the service and the food- both are pathetic now. Most items from the menu aren’t available. Ordered for a plate of mutton cutlet, but the bill had charged me for qty 2. When asked I only ordered one plate, they said it was because there were 2 pieces of cutlet😳 Avoid this place like the plague. Overpriced and inefficient.

I was extremely disappointed with this place. The only thing we liked was the chicken 65, which was tasty. The rest of the food was a letdown. The chapati was similar to papad dry and hard. Channa masala was extremely spicy. I felt the prices were much higher than other restaurants we tried. Service was okay. But the waiter followed us all the way out to mention we did not tip him. The old lady who managed the washroom kept asking for money from me and my mother every time we used the facilities. I wouldn't recommend this place to friends and family based on our experience.

This has been a favorite for old timers in and around madikeri. The old rustic atmosphere/building has been replaced by a new building, but the food was tasty and the waiter who was serving 10 years before too was polite and obliging. I still have fond memories of this place and was not disappointed.

It is one of those old school places that has kept up its standards for over 4 decades in my experience. This place hasn't changed much, and isn't anywhere close to the modern cafe/restaurant. However, it just brings in the right crowd all the time. It is exceptionally clean, and the food is good too. Absolutely no complains on the service either. If you wish to enjoy a restaurant with an old charm, look no further... this is the place.

An iconic Madikeri hotel with the best food in town. Absolutely homely food in a nostalgic environment. Great kheema dosas and a lovely meal. Both the veg and non veg fares are top quality. Clean and neat place with ample parking. Absolutely delightful 🙏🏽👍🏾

Nice place to stop by on the way to Mangalore / Mysore. Breakfast and Lunch is good. Kheema Dosa and Kheema Ball curry is really good. Good balcony seating area too.

Except for beer the food is horrible. Coorg style pork not available.. never to order mutton which will be half cooked.. lousy waiters.. only tourists who come for first time fall for this trap.. rest rooms and view is the only positives. Pls avoid if u are looking for good food.. there are many other good options

The waiter forced us to eat mutton pulao which was already made and tasted very old. It was not even hot. First he said roti was not available and when we did not enjoy the pulao he said roti is available now. Worst food and service. Do not plan to go at all.

Food was pretty Good But the vibe of the hotel is pretty shady, not made for family or couples Mutton cutlet - Excellent Pork - Excellent Egg dosa - Average Because of the vibe we might not go there again If it is only men you can give it a shot because of the taste of the food

Dishes are not fresh , they felt like re-heated old dish. In butter chicken, we found chicken 65 pieces. And there was heavy rotten smell. Don't prefer this hotel . An advice for your own health... Eat healthy avoid this kind of hotels. #foodie here

I was here for lunch. Hardly any customers. Food was ok. Lots of dishes in the menu which are not available. Mutton biryani meat was very hard to chew. Only saving grace was chapati and chicken curry. Try something else.

Did not stay, had been there for lunch. They do not serve pork here, but their mutton is famous. Most items we asked for were unavailable, that's why the 3 star. But spacious with ample seating.

A quaint place which has maintained its quality of service and food for many years. A must visit place when in Madikeri. Do not miss to taste their mutton keema dosa. This has been our favorite place to stop and have the dosa whenever traveling between mangalore and Bangalore. End the dosa with an amazing hot cup of Coorg filter coffee.

Food tastes good. Service is poor (broken plates, washing powder on plates, orders mixed up, pre packed chapatti, they don't serve items as per menu - only limited dishes in rice, chappati, mutton and chicken available). Ambience is old and nice. Parking is tight but manageable.
Ralph D'Souza — Google review
The service isn't great. Waiters confuse orders, and the food available here doesn't match the menu. Unfortunately, the price of the dishes doesn't match their taste, giving an impression that the food is overrated. Despite having enough parking space, it doesn't matter much because the food quality is not good. Avoid this place.
Sanketh C Naik — Google review
If you want to taste a traditional Coorg cuisine, this one is a good choice too, but don't expect much of a spread. Just Chicken and Mutton. Surprise: Pork (once was on top of their menu) is off their menu these days. Parking is available on premise.

The East End Restaurant charms with its nostalgic Indian ambiance, reminiscent of a bygone era. However, the culinary aspect disappoints significantly. The excessive use of artificial colorants in the dishes detracts from their appeal, and the utilization of pre-packed chapatis and parathas undermines the authenticity of the cuisine. For those seeking a delightful ambiance, it's a plausible choice, but for a gastronomic journey, it falls regrettably short. Adding to the disappointment, the East End Restaurant presents an enticing menu, but the stark reality unfolds upon inquiry—many items listed are unavailable. This mismatch between the menu's promises and the actual availability further diminishes the overall dining experience.

If you're looking for good, healthy food at an affordable price, Folksy Food is the place to be. The restaurant is small but homey, and the flavours are delicious. Whether you're a vegetarian or not, there's something on the menu for you. The host is friendly and welcoming, so stopping by Folksy Food is a must in Madikeri!
I am always into trying the local food, and in Madikeri I found Folksy Food. I ordered the veg dish which was very reasonable for the quantity and taste it offered. If you are a non-vegetarian, you will find more options. The host is a very nice person and is all smiles. The ambience of the place is homely! It's a must try in Madikeri!

Must visit place in coorg to have coorg special pork dish. They serve nice meal with vegetable dishes. Fish, chicken, mutton and pork dishes available. Its a small shop. Crowd will be there between 1 PM to 2PM. Park the vehicle on nearby road and walk to shop. Parking will be difficult near to shop.

Remember the good old days, where in during your vacations You visit your grandparents. Your grany had this amazing recipe of the most yummy mouth watering dishes, that you would dig right in & eat until your tummy explodes. Nostalgic?? 😍 Yess.. thats the same experience you will have at this restaurant. 💞 Delicious, finger licking good dishes made by 'Rathi' Aunty (owner of the restaurant) reminds you of that same authentic coorg cuisine. ♥️ Otti-Pundhi curry is a 'must try' (trust me😜) & mmmmhh the chicken gravy have this distinct aroma, that u have never ever tasted/experienced before at any place.😍 They have some tasty items for vegans as well, but man! their Non Veg dishes is what I root for.🍗🍖🥗🍢 The ambiance feels sooo homely, & their service feels as in, you have visited your relative's house! 😍 (they are always smiling 😜) If you at Madikeri, dont ever miss this experience. Tiger Tiger is a popular restaurant with a great atmosphere. The food is varied and exciting, and the service is always attentive. There's something for everyone at Tiger Tiger, whether you're looking for a casual meal or an upscale experience.
We had an amazing experience at this place called Tiger-Tiger. The food was homely and tasted very good. We had their traditional Ghee rice with Mutton curry, and chicken cutlets. All 3 were good. The meat was tender and the ghee rice was flavourful. Route: There is a board that shows the name, right next to a big Coffee shop. The way leading to the restaurant is a bit off-road. But the food is too good, that makes you okay with it. 😃

A small and cozy dining experience. The restaurant serves food based on authentic Kodagu cuisine, like an aromatic ghee rice garnished with crispy onions, various meat based curries and starters. Overall a great experience with delicious food to pair with the monsoons.

Located opposite to rajaseat, this is a gem of a place. They serve excellent home style food, which we loved. The people are always smiling and friendly. The food is absolutely delicious if you are looking for authentic homestyle kodava cuisine. A must visit place if you are in madikeri. Good food good people.

I would call it best kodava restaurant in Coorg, even better than Coorg Cuisine and others. Situated near Raja’s seat, one has to climb down a few steps besides the coffee shop and enter the premises full of ornamental flowers. Nice and cozy environment. Best part is very short menu so that one can easily choose what to order. The cooks are ladies are prepare a focused great homely food. We tried ghee rice, mutton dry and chicken curry with neer dosa, ultimate taste. There are certain items which one must order a day before, see the menu in photos. Food is served on biodegradable palm or areca plates, hence nature friendly and save water. Food price is very competitive compared to any other restaurant. They accept upi and cash.

Local cuisine tastes much better when you have your lunch at Tiger Tiger. We ordered pork (pandi) curry which was awesome in taste with soft pieces alongwith rice rotis which went well with it. Refreshing lime juices were had as an beverage. Overall the home cooked food was lip smacking and made us kept craving till the end. Service was quick and good homely atmosphere was maintained.

Place is very well decorated and ambience wise extraordinary.I loved their diversified Menu. But unfortunately their hospitality doesn’t impressed me.Only one lady is there and she don’t know other languages.Food was not ready at 7 pm so I left after a long wait.

You will get the most amazing Coorg cuisine here. It's run by 3 women who are very warm and welcoming. Because they prepare fresh food you have to wait for a good 20 mins. The road that goes to the restaurant is a bit down the slope so people with wheelchair or senior citizen might find it difficult to reach there. However, I would strongly advice everyone to try this place.

Had chicken cutlet which was awesome, had chicken curry combo also felt like chicken pieces were big which made the pieces hard and not fully cooked. Had pork fry, my first experience. Its good, but 1/3rd portion is fat which i didn't liked. Owner is very humble.

'Tiger Tiger' is one of the best dining options in madikeri. It's a small family run resturant so don't expect fine dining experience but you can get fine food here. Tiger Tiger offers traditional Coorg cuisine. The essence of food here is in its subtlety in use of spices. We had Koli curry (chiken curry) combo including Rice otti (rice chapati), Kadambuttus (steamed rice balls) and Paputtu (rice cake with cardamom and coconut) and Pepper chicken. All items were tasty. This is a must try option for local Coorg cuisine. Weekly closure on Wednesdays.
