Recently, we went on a tour with family and we were blessed to visit "Shri Vitthal Rukmini Mandir". It's a very divine and peaceful mandir of Shri Vitthal and Rukmini. So beautiful murti of both gods. You have to wait for at least hours for darshan. Mobiles, tobacco etc are not allowed. While in the queue, only a mobile locker centre was created over there. You can submit phones and get the receipt. The rest of everything was good. It is crowded all the time. The mental peace you get after the darshan of vitthala is cant be explained. It's a once in a lifetime feeling.

The temple was really pleasant. The Lord vittal statue was really beautiful. We touched the feet of the Lord vittal and it was a pleasant experience for us. My wife almost cried after seeing and touching the feet of the Lord. We never experienced this grateful feeling, this will happen only in this temple. Must visit temple for everyone.

Vitthal Rukmini Mandir is a famous temple dedicated to Lord Vitthal and his consort Rukmini located in Maharashtra, India. It is one of the prominent pilgrimage sites for devotees of Lord Vitthal, who is considered an incarnation of Lord Krishna. The temple is located in the town of Pandharpur, in the Solapur district of Maharashtra. Pandharpur is renowned for its association with the deity Vitthal, also known as Vithoba or Panduranga. The temple complex is considered one of the most important Vaishnavite temples in India and attracts millions of devotees every year, especially during the Ashadi Ekadashi festival. The Vitthal Rukmini Mandir has a rich history and dates back several centuries. The temple architecture reflects a mix of South Indian and Hemadpanthi styles. It is characterized by intricate carvings and sculptures, with the main deity of Lord Vitthal and Rukmini placed in the sanctum sanctorum. The idol of Vitthal is depicted as a standing figure with his hands resting on a brick, symbolizing his connection with his devotees. There are two darshans. 1. Pada darshan.. Having darshan closely following in a queue(normally may take 3-4 hours on any day). 2. Doora darshan(from a distance of 15 meters.) . It's a quick darshan for us because we opted for mukhdarshana only. If you are interested in pada darshana which is too close to the murti then it takes more than 4 hours standing in queue. The temple complex also includes various other shrines dedicated to different deities like Lord Ganesha, Lord Hanuman, and Goddess Satyabhama. The courtyard of the temple is known as the "Chandrabhaga River" and is believed to be a sacred spot where Lord Vitthal and Rukmini used to bathe. Devotees from different parts of Maharashtra and other regions visit the Vitthal Rukmini Mandir to seek blessings, offer prayers, and participate in religious ceremonies. The temple premises are bustling with activity, especially during major festivals like Ashadi Ekadashi and Kartik Ekadashi, when the town of Pandharpur witnesses a large influx of pilgrims. It is famous for the Lord Vitthala temple situated on the bank of Bhima river. Bhima river is also known as Chandrabhaga as it takes shape like crescent moon near the town. Vitthal Rukmini mandir at Pandharpur Maharashtra is a very divine place. There is 2 types of dharshan queues DHARAM DARSHAN and MUKH DARSHAN of bhagwan Vitthal. In dharam darshan you can go upto the vigrah (murti) and touch bhagwan Vitthal. For sure in normal days it takes at least 2 hours. There are many small temple inside mandir premises for darshan. Laddu Prasad stalls are outside temple. Behind temple is holy river Chandrabhaga and Dwarkadhish temple. Very peaceful calm and spiritual atmosphere in the temple.

A must visit to this Vitthal temple in your lifetime. It's spiritual, it's mesmerising, it's enchanting, it's bhakti of another level. You can touch the Lord's feet and your forehead and seek the devine blessings. The experience to have darshan of the Lord is difficult to put in words, just need to experience it in person. The Chandrabhaga river nearby and the bhakt Pundalik temple are all worth taking the blessings. Do visit the temple known as Dakshin Kasi. It is believed that the Lord Vishnu or Lord Krishna stays here. There are no rituals, stand in the line, visit the Lord Vitthal, do Padasparsham and pray - there is no one between you and the Lord, one to one, bhakt and the almighty.

One of the most devotional temple.. my visit to temple was memorable. Almost 1+ km darshañ line from ghat...it took 2+ hours for Darshan but it worthy... you are allowed to touch the sri vittal ji foot and Rukmini mata foot if u r visit through this line.. We have another option to visit the temple with no line but u have to darshan from a distance. Even though it's a very long line but worth a visit and u can find lot of shops in between to purchase things to eat.

Finally I visited this temple after long wait . The movement I entered pandharpur. Vibes change. I'm in love with vitthal and rukmini god. I feel so blessed that I got darshan.  This is the only fortunate place where one can touch Lord's feet or keep one's forhead upon Lord's feet. After alots of struggle the movement u touch feet everything change. U get lost .I cant Express in words. Must visit in one life time . Millions of people come here . There is parking issue. Try to park your car bit far from temple. Narrow roads. Police service manage everything very smoothly. Mobile has to keep in locker its better u leave your mobile in car . So carry cash . If u are visiting this temple for first time using Google maps , then be careful. There many same name location, u will get confused and lost . Its better u locate proper location use satellite view. Dont carry anything inside. Take care of your belongings and your stuff. Its worth sanding in Q. Dont go for mukh darshan. U will not understand the importance of it . Vitthal rukmini god will definitely bless you.

I recently visited the Pandharpur Vittal Rukhmini Temple, a place that radiates positive vibes. One of the must-do activities is the Nagar Pradikshana, a spiritual walk around the temple that brings a deep sense of serenity. During our visit, we chose to stay at Mukta Bai Muth, which provided a warm and homely atmosphere. Chandrabhaga River holds immense significance for Maharashtrians, as it is considered sacred. Many people take ritual baths in the river in the name of Lord Vittal. However, it's important to note that maintaining hygiene around the river is a concern. The responsibility for ensuring cleanliness primarily lies with the government and temple trust. Efforts should be made to improve the sanitation facilities to preserve the sanctity of this sacred place. Ram Krushna hari !

Beautiful temple of Lord Vishnu and Rukminiji. Heavy crowd during special days like Ekadashi. Mobile phones are not allowed inside. There are two queues, mukh darshan and Charan darshan. Mukh darshan has lesser crowd but devotees get to see only the face of Lord Vishnu from a distance. Charan darshan is very crowded but devotees can get to see the whole statue of Lord Vishnu. Rukminiji temple is next to Lord Vishnu temple. Laddu Prasad can be bought on the counter outside the temple.

It was a very pleasant temple. The statue of Lord Vittal was quite exquisite. We had a good experience when we touched the feet of the Lord. Everyone must attend the temple.

One of ancient Hindu Temple. Not much away from Railway Station. Very good connectivity from Railway Station. We reached at 9pm but still we could manage to get Darshan. Unfortunately we couldn't get Darshan closely. Line in which we have entered is little away from God Statue. Only relaxing thing is that it was not planned trip but still GOD allow us to come and get Darshan. Thanks to pilgrims who inspired us to go to Vitthal Rukmini Mandir. Heard a lot about this temple but first time in life blessed to come here. Jai Shree Ram Jai Vitthal Bhagwan Jai Mata Rukmini

Sorry to say that but vitthal mandir under Government supervision and its pathetic to say there is no welcoming or overwhelming stay or weather due to government responsibility. In India there is only one god and it's a VITTHAL RUKHMINI. There are so many temples in India like Sai baba, tirupati balaji, lalbagh cha raja all are under private trust that's why they are in good condition. I don't know how CM goes there every year and couldn't find out the condition of one of the earth's most important temple conditions not so well or the government not watching at all. मराठ्यांचा श्रद्धा स्थान म्हणजे विठ्ठल मंदिर...... Please request all peoples this corrupted government will not do anything to over overwhelming places that the VITTHAL MANDIR we have to do ourselves. All government MP MLA CM are corrupts, if they don't have time for there god what will you expect from them for you I would suggest just voting for that person who is working in your society or in your gaali don't think about Modi or BJP all are corrupt if they can manage to get Ajit pawar or udayanraje bhosale in BJP what you think elsewhere 😅. If you come abroad you will find all work done by the government stays for more than 100 years, and in india if the government does some work next week only it will collapse. It is not our fault but the government is the only thing that is possible to fall down our country or places or us. I would suggest just make sure whenever you give a vote, just think 5 times if that person or candidate is right for your society. Give that person only vote or else just put NOTA.

Visited with family, took Pune-Sholapur highway and it was smooth ride ,not too much traffic. Lot of food options on the way. key points to note when in Pandharpur : 1. Parking near temple is available but at some distance. Better take auto if you don't want to walk long distance. 2. We didn't buy online tickets as it was showing error. We took charan darshan following the long queue but it was worth waiting in queue. Started at 5pm finished at 9pm. Total time taken was around 4 hrs. which may defer based on day and time. We were able to touch feet of lord which is very divine experience. 3. There are enough mobile lockers. Don't try to be smart because you will get caught as there are multiple security checks to ensure no one carries mobile. 4. Keep water and basic food with you while in queue as it takes long time. You can carry small bag inside, security didn't mind it. 5. Keep your sleepers and phone in car if going by car. 6. Don't fall into scams which are quite common at holy places now a days. But we didn't find too many people trying to trick us.. 7. Laddu prasadam is available outside temple which is run by temple itself. Cost is 20 rupees for bundi laddu prasadam. 8. Shops mostly accept only cash so carry some cash with you. You might not find many googlepay or upi options. 9. There are few restaurants, including gujrati and Rajasthani thali. Also there is open food court with large number of stalls serving all varieties of food. As its holy place, don't disrespect or criticize people or arrangement, be humble and take darshan with pure heart. 🙏

The Solapur Bhuikot Fort, constructed during the 14th century by the Bahamani dynasty, is a historic monument with unique architecture and a lush garden close by. The admission fee is 20Rs per person, and it is open from 9 am to 5 pm. It takes approximately an hour to explore the entire compound of this double-fortified structure built in typical Bahamani-era style.
The Solapur fort is definitely worth a visit for its peaceful and clean surroundings. It's not too crowded, but it could use more care and upkeep from the government to keep its history alive. Even so, it's a must-see spot.

Place opens up at 9 am and is open till 5 pm. Though most of the fort is still intact but this glorious piece of history is ill maintained. As per the security funds dried up for the upkeep of the fort. If the fort can regain its lost glory and a sound and light show be added to the venue would attract crowd and revenue both. Also the fort should have someone like a guide to explain history of the fort generating interest. Solapur has a rich of story telling sadly no one's interested nice place

The area of the fort is larger so to explore it completely you need at least an hour. You get the nice view of the lake from top of Them he fort walls. Managed by ASI, the fort definitely has seen better days and could use better upkeep. Inside the fort, there is lot of park area, couple of fountains but has not been maintained properly with grass having overgrown throughout the place. But for fort lovers, you can stroll around the place and visit 2 -3 structures that are still standing. You can spend about 1 - 1.5 hours max at this place, not more. The walls of the fort still stand majestically overlooking the city and the view of the lake and siddeshwar temple from the ramparts are worth a view. Was told at the ticket counter that use of DSLR inside the fort is prohibited at the time of this writing in Sep'22 but point and shoot cameras or mobile phones are allowed. It may change in future but not as of now. There are amenities inside the fort but since the fort is in the heart of the city you have access to food/water as soon as you exit the fort. The walk along the paved path near the fort called ganpath ghat is also something you may want to try if you are visiting the fort.

Great Indian Bustard Sanctuary is a habitat for the endangered great Indian bustard bird as well as wildlife such as wolves and foxes. The grasslands of this sanctuary make it an ideal location for bird watching. Although the park opens after 9 am, forest team members can be considerate and allow entry to serious visitors. The sanctuary itself receives high praise from its visitors who describe it as peaceful with excellent nature views, earning an outstanding rating of over five stars.

It's a nice grassland bird sanctuary. You will find many grassland birds here. There are no Migratory birds here. It's a clean sanctuary. There is a watch tower at the entrance and as you go in there is a hide out where you can sit and click bird and animal photos without disturbing them, but sadly there are no animals that close. It's a huge sanctuary. One can enjoy the peace, beautiful sunrise and breeze. The sanctuary has a forest lodge facility, but sadly cannot be booked online. When asked how to book, there was no satisfactory answer given. It's sad to see a bird sanctuary not being promoted well.

1 star - cause I cant give zero stars 2 star - cause the waiters maintain cleanliness Waiting time of 1 hr. A hotel which is on a highway, where people come to have food fast and leave for their destination this is too much. We entered the hotel, directly went near the table sitting area, no one stopped us. After we asked the waiter he said to put down the name on waiting list. Food was not at all worth the 1 hr wait. The wait time for food to come on table was another 30-45mins. Overall we wasted about 2 hrs, on our trip from to Pune which is a considerable amount of time.

Excellent food. Especially the maharashtrian food options. Jowar Bhakri, Dabte, Sev Bhaji, Baingan Masala, Pitla are good options to try if you are trying local food. Chinese options were also good. Get yourself a litre of buttermilk or Tak. Yup that's how they serve buttermilk. Not a glass but a litre bottle. Preferably sit outside for a good ambience. Service was very quick and people were good. Food is reasonable. Expect to shed out 300-500 per person depending on what you eat. There is place to park as well. Heard that normally this place is super crowded during peak hours so preferable to be an early bird. For kids there is a small play area to keep them busy. There are also a few stalls outside for some odd purchases.

"Hotel Angraj is a pure vegetarian establishment and serves as an excellent dining option for vegetarians. Considering the limited dining choices in Solapur, Tilak Chowk stands out as a great place for family dining. I personally tried the biryani here; although the taste was satisfactory, it did not match the quality of biryani I am accustomed to. Additionally, the service was subpar, and some people felt a bit neglected."

Must Visit Place for Lunch & Dinner if you are planning to visit Akkalkot for Shree Swami Samarth Maharaj Darshan. We ordered Matha but taste was not proper....while billing at billing counter I just suggested them about tasteless Matha, they immediately minus the Matha Amount from Our Bill & their Sincere Apology was Highly Appreciated....!!!!!

A cool, refreshing new joint on Solapur-Akkalkot highway for resting and eating. This large complex is well designed with greenery and outdoor play gadgets for children. Restaurant is spacious, round shaped with no walls which makes it unique. I visited with my family and friends. We all had different tastes and dietary requirements but all of us got what we wanted and enjoyed the food and the ambience to the fullest. Right beside the highway with ample of gravelled parking space makes it a preferred place to stop by for highway travelers.

There are a lot of options for food available here. Great connectivity on the main road only. Very good for family. Ample parking available. Very good kids play area. There are shopping options as well. The overall ambience and atmosphere is very good. Cost wise is pocket friendly. The only issue is if you are going to solapur from Akkalkot to take U turn it's long distance you will need to park your vehicle on the opposite side of the hotel.

You should definitely try the chicken tikka appetizer at Hotel Priyanka in Solapur. It is considered one of the best starters available there, particularly the boneless version. The dish is juicy and packed with flavor, topped with a creamy sauce that enhances every bite. While the restaurant may not be suitable for family dining, you can always order takeout or use a food delivery app.
The food taste awesome (if taste is priority not health 😁) Dine in area could be managed more appropriately. No washroom and try not to wash hand in wash basins 🚯 On weekends service is bit delayed than usual. If want to try first time order online. And no parking for cars.

Worst restraunt experiance in solapur since last 30 years. Ordered mutton biryani and mutton Soapuri and i personally went to get my order in night but after reaching home i got to know that instead of mutton these people have packed chicken and that to cold, shabby and tasteless chicken. After asking for a replacement next day they denied and handed me the margine of 40rs.. Wow. Whqt to expect from such tastless restarunt and prople. Also the taste is worst.

You must try chicken tikka starter!! it’s one of the best ones I had in Solapur, especially the boneless one. It’s succulent, flavourful and drizzled with rich cream which makes each bite worth it. The in dining may not be family friendly but you can always take out or order from food delivery app. Another best thing on their menu is mutton Biriyani which is spicy, packed with all the flavours you would ever want. Best combo.

Quality of food is good but it was bit difficult while making the payment. They won't accept payment via UPI and card. We were bound to make payment in cash only. Further no parking space is available here.

Lovely ambiance, good music and great pizza. Not so cozy but a good place to have some great time with your loved ones. The triple cheese add-on is a must try for any pizza lover.

Not sure how Smoking Joe's gave franchisee. Ambience is good but not the food. Received burnt Pizza 🍕 This store does not have soda. So no pepsi sprite Fanta available Ac starts on request and so is the music. A no go place. As usual in Solapur they do not care for the customer. Service is not what you expected 😜. Go on your own 🤠. A no go place for pizza lovers.
