Great steak (9/10) at amazing location right by the palace of art and culture. Many cool options as side dishes to the meat. Also salads, pasta or burgers for those who don't want stakes. Clearly popular with locals, packed on a Tuesday night. Live band is nice, but a bit loud.

Huge restaurant with lots of seats, we were able to get in easily with no reservation. Service was attentive and friendly. However, I personally would not recommend the steak as it was not as tender as I expected and also had lots of fat. Fries, drinks, and dessert were all tasty, though! And love the popcorn served at the table as a snack.

Our waitress Marlena was kind and well spoken. The cocktails and steak were excellent, the price tag matched. Other dishes looked appealing and were better priced than the steak. You really pay for the quality of the steak but it's worth it in my opinion. The live music was great, a couple of well known classics from in South Africa were played 👏🏻

Had a nice dinner on my holiday in Warsaw together with my boyfriend. Very good looking restaurant. Took a bit long to order the food, but our very nice waiter Marcin compensated this with his kindness and good service. The food was worth the wait, the restaurant also had some live music the night we were there, very nice. After all a very good experience.

My steak was exactly what I asked for. Super tasty and delicious. Tartar was in fusion style and I can say it was even better than the classic style. Service was very professional, but atmosphere wasn’t to my expectations since the tables were very close to each other (which I think is wired for this type of restaurant) and it made me a little uncomfortable. Beside that everything was great

The first visit experience was good(a muscular male staff took care of my table, and he was very nice), so I visited the second time with another friend. The other male server in charge of the inner seat recommended a narrow seat right next to the TV despite the fact that there were so many empty seats. So I said I would sit on the terrace, and even then he tried to give us a seat with the curtain view with mentioning ‘a different server will be in charge of the table on terrace’😂 A female server on terrace seat professionally hosted our table with much more positive attitude and she deserved tip:)

Very nice and attentive service! We ordered a salad with chicken, soup and gnocchi. Gnocchi was a rather tasty dish, soup as well, salad was a bit too plain. The atmosphere and the interior design are quite enjoyable! The restaurant also has a summer terrace. The staff speak pretty good English

My friend recommended me this place, and it was great choice to try very tasty steaks. The atmosphere was nice , just the table we didn’t really like it and we tried to change it, but the lady said that all tables reserved (where’s bar area). We stayed for 2 hours and the tables was still empty, really disappointed about it. Our waitress were not very friendly (blonde hair).

My wife and I had an amazing time at Beef and Pepper where we celebrated our anniversary. The gentleman, Marcin, serving and assisting us in finding the best options were very kind, patient and helpful. And the food was amazing. I would not hesitate to come back again.

Great looking place and they got this big tv screen showing football. Good to know for those into sports. I like that they gave a dish of popcorn which would be super nice for me with a nice beer. For food, I ordered fillet mignon and spinach salad. So food is ok but not wow and the steak i tried was edible. I asked for aperol Spritz as aperitif since im always excited for steak and was set for the whole dining experience and it tasted funny like the sliced fruits weee oversoaking on water before or maybe going bad soon. Aperol spritz tastes same everywhere unless the fruits used are not fresh. So I didn’t bother to order wine to go with the steak. The waitress and waiters were very friendly and always ready to assist. Thanks for satisfying my curiosity.

Had a wonderful meal there. While there was a bit of time to wait for the meal, it was superb. The waiter had a slight delay, but the place was packed so understandable. Will come again.

I was in a group of 4 on a Monday night. The service was ok but we had to keep asking for items that had been forgotten and the restaurant wasn't busy. My ribeye steak - it was warm but not hot, the garlic butter didn't melt. It tasted fine, but the temperature wasn't great. The dessert was excellent, I ordered an eclair and I was expecting choux pastry with cream and chocolate. I got something completely different as you can see in the photo, but I'm not complaining as it was excellent. Would I go there again? Probably.

Very tasty beef and pepper in sauce - yummy! Carpaccho was also delicious! But ... why coca-cola in a flagon, it should be with sparkles and in original glass! Except that I recommended visiting this place to taste really lush steak!

I’m glad I dressed up to come to this restaurant. Very classy joint. Excellent food and top notch service. Everyone was very polite and professional. The barley soup was well balanced and had great texture. The baked duck was the most tender duck I’ve ever had. I ordered the cheesecake which came with a chocolate sauce served separately. The cake was a little crumbly and I couldn’t quite make out the taste of the cheese. However, with the chocolate sauce it didn’t quite matter as much. Would definitely be back but next time I’ll probably try a different dessert.

A pearl of a place. Worth the taxi ride from downtown Warsaw. Genuine and warm atmosphere, and the waitstaff were professionals to the fingertips. We sat in the blue room upstairs on Friday, October 13, and were served by the loveliest young lady. Piano playing upon arrival, and flowers and beautiful cakes filled the hall. This is, by far, one of the best restaurants I've visited in this city. Very elegant place but does not let you feel uptight in any way. Very well educated staff advising in terms of the wines. We were extremely happy to have the waiter let us taste the wine before we ordered it, just because he felt we may not like our choice! And he was right! The food... There are hardly any words to express it. Absolutely delicious. We enjoyed every piece of it. Desserts are definitely a gem as well. The staff made us feel very comfortable, the waiter was very attentive and never let the wine glass be empty but all this was done in a non-invasive way. Perfect place.

Great fresh tar-tar, tender duck, a huge selection of desserts and a large wine list, delicate handmade dumplings. A cosy interior with live piano music and a chic garden with a fountain. The staff is top-notch. Good service. A number of celebrities have visited the place. The prices are commensurate with the high quality of service and food. I recommend it and will be back again and again.

Been there at least three times now and loved it every single one of them!!! The food is delicious, the staff is fun, knowledgeable and very professional! The interior and comfort of the place is top notch. Absolutely stunning!! One tip: they should start serving tap water on the table or at least offer it upon guests' request. Extremely gorgeous entry, greeted by the host immediately and had our coats taken to the cloak room. Interior was magnificent, and for our first course we enjoyed potato blinis with caviar and also crayfish crépes that were splendid. Next we had the chicken soup with dumplings and traditional Silesian soup that were both 10/10. For our main course we had the duck and lamb shank. Duck was extremely tender and juicy, it was paired with an amazing fried apple and soft potato purée. As for the lamb shank, the meat fell of the bone and was wonderfully juicy. It had an amazing rosemary sauce and gnocchi. We recommend both dishes. For dessert we had the wonderful apple pie and delicious meringue cake with orange liquor. The meringue was the best meringue cake I have ever had. In conclusion we absolutely loved our experience and can’t wait to go back.

If this isn't Poland's best fine dining experience, I don't know what is. Everything from the service and fresh peonies on each table to the wine and exquisite food flavors is impeccable. The interior design and music were fantastic. The dessert selection is incredible, with something to satisfy everyone's sweet tooth. Absolutely recommend!!

Such a great restaurant! We visited for a dinner and waiters was very polite and concerned with us. We wanted change our table and they solved it quickly ! 🙌🏼 If you would like to visit this restaurant I suggest eating a duck! Fan tas tic! 5 stars for everything. The food here was so good! It was traditional Polish cuisine and every dish looked and tasted amazing. The atmosphere was wonderful as well whether you sat outside in the garden or inside the lovely country cottage interior.

We celebrated our small wedding gathering here and I should mention that we were not expecting that much high quality service. Waiters are very polite and delivering an excellent service. Food and cake were amazing along with the atmosphere. We were 14 people and everyone was happy. Definitely want to go there again! Thank you, Rozana staff!

What a wonderful experience! From the entrance till the exit, you will be very welcomed, under the sound of piano, with a high level attention to all details. The tuna tartar is delicate, and the beef tenderloin is tenre and made to the perfect point. But the meringue ended the night elevating my journey to the highest point! Warsaw became unforgetable by visiting this place. I can only recommend!

Overall 10/10 Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10 How come did I just now discover this place. Stary Dom vibes but much smaller, intimate, and dare I say, might even be better. The atmosphere is magical, especially with the live music. Everything about the whole experience was 10/10. From the olive oil and the balsamic vinegar on the table, which are so aromatic, high quality, and flavorful to the decaf coffee we ordered along with the dessert. In short, everything we ordered was perfect. But to be more specific: 1. Beef tartare - One of the best I’ve had. Classic. The meat was of the highest quality. 2. Duck - Perfection. Especially when taking a bite of the sweet/sour apple and meat together. 3. Deer Ribs - The meat literally just falls off the bone. Nothing really to compare to. I guess you’ll just have to try it. 4. Apple pie - best one I’ve had so far. Perfectly balanced. Not too heavy, exactly what you want after a meal. New favorite.

Very tasty food and great service! Saw some reviews saying that it was not tourist friendly but decided to try anyway and was pleasantly surprised. They have English menu and the staff spoke English too and were very kind and friendly. The gołąbki was delicious!

It was the most expensive restaurant we visited. Service was really good and the food as well. Good portions that needed a bit of seasoning. We also tried a traditional dessert that you eat right before Easter. a bit dry but flavorful. Overall a good experience.

Beautiful regional experience: amazing quality and taste of the dishes - as I was informed e.g. In cakes they use only ecological eggs and butter (instead of margarine). In other dishes- Ecological potatoes etc. The staff is Friendly. These days (Nov the 11th) they have regional St. Martin's Croissants (a few types, apparently delivered from another city: Poznań to keep certification) in offer, absolutely must try👌

The soup in bread with boiled egg and sausage was good- loved the sausage. The only minus to it is that it was sour and I prefer the soup to be sweeter but that is just a matter of taste. The pierogi selection was huge (4 different types * two each) and I ate only the meat ones as I am not a big fan of the spinach and the other ones I didn't like. The chocolate cake was nice and light! Not the best meal I had in Poland but wouldn't take it off the list.

This restaurant doesn't care where you are from, be warned if you are Asian. Their handmade lemonade is quite “sour”, and the traditional Polish sausage platter is okay. Thanks to their meal, I had diarrhea after returning to the hotel.

We were looking for a traditional Polish restaurant to try the typical food and boy did this place deliver! Herring for starters was simple yet unbelievably tasty and the cheese and meat board was also delicious, for mains we had a selection of pierogi and the typical Zurek served in a sourdough roll( best soup in the world)! Massive portions and honest prices and a very homely atmosphere. Shout out to our waitress Asia who was very kind and nailed the wine suggestion.

Tasty and traditional polish food served in a very charming location. Portions are huge and they're delicious. We had the polish charcuterie plate and the schnitzel and it was all very good. We managed to seat inside, but the outside area is too cramped.

Very tasty local food and beer. Bigos and duck salad were perfect! Pleasant and helpful personnel. Unfortunately, there were no ginger sirup for beer.

It is a lovely traditional restaurant with great character and great service. I didn't feel out of place being here on my own. I had the mixed dumplings to try the local cuisine and they were delicious. I am glad that I didn't only opt for one variety.

Good food. We sat outside but inside is also characteristic. Klaudia the waitress was helpful and she was explaining they are making dumplings on site. Very delicious meal. The schnitzel was just so perfect. The bigos was nice, would have been nice to have a bit more meat in it, but was still delicious.

If you wanna try authentic Polish Cusine, do come to this place. We were checking the menu outside and Dawid welcomed us in and showed our seats in the table. Really good customer service. He was quick with getting order from us. Also when we requested a good Polish Beer, he gave us an amazing Pint. Food and ambience is really good here. I tried the Venison and it was just amazing. Would definitely recommend this place and would come back to this place again when we are back in Warsaw.

Came here to try out some authentic Polish dishes and we were not disappointed. Ordered a Bigos and a Venison dish and they were splendid. The atmosphere is pretty awesome and would definitely recommend if you want to feel Polish food. Dawid’s service was above and beyond made sure we enjoyed our visit. A must visit when in Warsaw.

Our serves was lovely girl, very patient with us! The restaurant was also great the place accommodated 8 people very quickly, as we booked just 3 hours before dinner time. Food was excellent, we tried everything authentic from the menu!

Really comfortable place, the waitress Agnieszka was super friendly and helpful besides that her English is fantastic. The environment of the restaurant is flawless! Polish music in the background, Polish typical costumes and the taste of the food: amazing. I would definitely recommend everyone to go as first stop to try delicious Polish cuisine. Pierogi and żurek were my dishes and the taste was fantastic, besides the lemonade is preeeeetty good. As a Mexican, the flavor is something very different but I will go back to try more dishes once I visit Warsaw again. Very authentic polish restaurant. The portions are big and everything is so delicious. It is a bit pricey but worth it. That was the best polish meal I’ve ever had. But! They have really a big problem with the reception and cloakroom service. They are not welcoming and even rude. I felt it even on the phone when I called them to make a reservation. They did not want to talk and give additional information, they just advised to call next day to get a table. This is inappropriate for this level of restaurant. I am not sure if I am going to give it a second try, because the service is very important for me. It made me feel like I was unwanted there.

After many visits I think it's time to write an opinion! Stary Dom has almost become a tradition every time I visit Warsaw, and it often happens! I have never gone from there disappointed, possibly because I never did manage to eat myself through the dessert menu! The food is well-cooked and delicious! However, I think you have to have a taste for the traditional Polish cuisine to fully appreciate the menu. The steak tartare is clearly one of Warsaw's best! I have eaten my way through almost the whole menu, and can just say the food is lovely! The price level is on the higher scale but absolutely corresponds to what you find on the plate The venue and decor are charming and cozy! The atmosphere is a pleasant balance between solemn and everyday! I think i will continue with my visits!

Cozy restaurant in residential area of ​​Warsaw. The name “Stary dom” (“Old house”) is hard to understand until you get inside. The restaurant is located in nothing remarkable modern building. But this is until the moment you open the door and walk into. Here you really immerse into the atmosphere of old Warsaw house of 18-19 centuries. Wooden balks structures, which have become main decorative elements, are carefully restored. Interior with soft light and heavy curtains. The cuisine is Polish with heavy hearty dishes but gourmet. Wide selection of local drinks and nice service will make your evening perfect.

Excellent restaurant in Warsaw, to try the traditional and local food. Everything is excellent, the food, the service, the place. There are 2 floors, ideally book in the groynd floor, it is nicer but, in the 1st floor is also nice, more private and noisy but a very nice experience. Service is very kind and attentive, the food taste delicious, and the atmosphere is pure Polish ambience. Totally recommended.

Absolutely delicious food! Reasonably priced, can spend 20-40 złoty per person or more than 200 złoty per person, depending on what you get or how much alcohol you consume. Beets are just like mum makes! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! The mood is good, the food is good, the price is good!

I would sat it is more exponsive than similar restaurants, but you get slightly better service and taste. Tatar is highly recommended. Probably it is the main feature of the place. Pork knuckle was also the best I've tasted in Warsaw.

The restaurant is a tribute to old world style and comfort food. The decor is beautiful and traditional while also being upscale. The food never disappoints!!!! Tried several dishes, from appetizer to dessert, and everything was tasty and wonderful. I’ve hosted a private luncheon here and the service is first class. Five stars is just not enough!!!!

The best way to describe how to handle a misunderstanding with the reservation was to be offered 2 shots of amazing wódka with the manager of the restaurant. From that moment the supper was more than pleasant, service perfect, food great, wine as well. this restaurant was highly recommended and we were eager to come visit. the ambiance is great and visually, the restaurant is quite stunning. we were greeted rather gruffly and scolded for not telling our greeter our reservation was made on email rather than with a call as apparently this means he had to look at a different list and he was upset with this. when we got to our table it was set up nicely and our server gave us the menus. again, we were quite excited to eat here. however, i have not experienced worse service in my life. our server was quite cold which is totally fine, but he did not check in on us once during our dining. this is of course not uncommon in european restaurants and we were not expecting the service we would typically get in the US, but the one time our waiter DID come by, he did not ask if we wanted a refill on our clearly empty drinks, and left before we could ask him for one. he was like a ghost the entire night and eventually came back to clear our dishes and tell us our reservation time was up. we were NOT aware of any such policy and this was not communicated to us at all. if our waiter (who was an older gentleman attempting to look younger with a quaffed hairstyle) had told us this beforehand we would have explained that we also wanted to order dessert and after dinner drinks. however we never got the chance to. we find it astounding to a restaurant that was so highly recommended had such horrendous service. the food was good, but not amazing. the tableside tartare everyone raves about was quite lovely, but is not made tableside - instead, it was made near but not next to us (as was the case for many diners who ordered the same from what I could tell). the other dishes we ordered (silesian dumplings, endive salad, cucumber with milk) were also good - but nothing to write home about. all in all, a not great experience that i would not recommend to others

My friend and I have visited this spectacular restaurant on Monday 22nd January and we loved absolutely everything there from the very beginning to the very end!!! The staff welcomed us warmly even though we had not booked a table with them before. Our waitress, Ania, was super friendly, knowledgeable and professional (she brought dozens of bottles of digestive selection to our table without us askibg for it even!:), she shared her extensive knowledge about the food and vodkas they serve there too!). Strawberry mousse is nice. A little bit messy and massive decoration, leaves of strawberry are tired. But accuracy of crafting the dessert itself is great. Flat white is not flat white, too much foam. In general place is pleasant, must to visit for all sweet lovers. Beautiful and luxurious decoration due to Christmas. Free water is absent.

Wonderful atmosphere and professional service team. The dishes were good, but didn’t wow me. The flavour of the deer was rich and seasoned properly. But beef tartare and carpaccio disappointed me. The price was a bit high for me. And a service charge of 10% was added to the bill. But I think it was a good choice to dine here.

Living up to it's reputation. The service amd the food are top notch. Tartar steak is made by the chef right in front of your eyes amd it is delicious as well as the main dish and wine.

The pork knuckle is one of the best I had, soft and almost creamy, but not too greasy or heavy, and it doesn’t have the pig stink. The grilled trout and cheese cake are also very tasty, and the cocktails are pretty big. Our waitress Natalia was very helpful and gave us rose flowers when we left.

Extremely pleasant experience! The food was delicious, I was craving duck and got exactly what I wanted. Nice starter and liquor in the end were also included. What also made it so memorable, warm and thoughtful service. Many thanks to the waiter Alexander who went above and beyond to make my solo dinner so pleasant. And cover for my mistake with too strong wine :D The rose was a cool surprise which is unexpectedly still stays as new already for a week!

Each time I visit Warsaw, I come here, as it is a really authentic place with traditional food. I usually take ribs and tartar.. for the first time I took Polish soup and it tasted really like it was made by my grandma. Thank you

Really nice local food especially both soups for perfect for cold water. Also very tasty tartar (beef and fish one) and I really enjoyed Polish dumplings. Service was very good and prices are very nice.

We had a really nice time in this restaurant, the dishes were delicious for a very fair price. Theserver lady was pleasant and helpful. It took some time to get the bill but I totally recommend this place.

Great restaurant! We really enjoyed sitting outside on a rather quiet street with tasty food and drinks. Atmosphere inside is more refined and interior is beautiful. Service didn't impress us but generally, we would gladly dine here again when we are back to Warsaw.

This was a treasure in Warsaw the waitress was so kind and attentive. The food was delicious and it came out in a timely manner. Would highly recommend. Pig knuckles had hair that could have been taken off. Pierogies where so very tasty.

The best place to have a traditional meal! The food is delicious, the prices are low and the portions are big! Staff is amazing, they even gave us roses!

Atmosphere is nice, service is great. However, the dish I've ordered was a bit too simple. The prices are good for such a place. My friends were satisfied with their dishes. If you like more classic atmosphere and interior.

From the moment we entered, the place made a very good impression. There was live music at the entrance (saxophone), dimmed lights and everything looked like a good place for dinner. We ordered a traditional Polish soup to start with, but as a main course "Deer roast on horseradish puree with grilled oyster mushroom and chasseur sauce" and you know what? It was the most delicious dish I have ever had! The meat is so cooked that it will fall apart on a fork (that you don't even need to use a knife) and tastes just divine. Plus a combination of maybe 10 super matching flavors. Highly recommend to visit. And especially try this "Deer roast"

Ordered Shrimps with garlic in mango sauce & Deer ragout with wild mushrooms in red wine sauce & Cheesecake with white chocolate & a glass of Polish red wine. Best polish red wine, which is fruity, worths a try. Cheese cake is in large portion, like a main course. Shrimps and deer also taste good but cannot stand out tho. Good service. Waitresses are friendly and helpful. Knowledgeable waitress patiently explained different types of wine and helped customers take photos in different angles. They will give you a shot of vodka (for men) and a flower (for women) when you make payment. Interior design quite elegant.

The service was excellent, complimentary flowers for the ladies, and a shot for the men, really surprised us. The traditional bread which was given as an appetizer, was delicious. Thank you for a wonderful time.

If you are in Warsaw and looking for a great dining experience, look no further than Stara Kamienica. They offer a good selection of dishes for all tastes. The atmosphere is not inviting but the staff is friendly and attentive. I'd recommend the wild boar dish, it was delicious. It’s a must visit restaurant. Reasonable prices, central, quiet, great service. At the end of the dinner they treated us with a red rose and a chupa chups. Perfect!

Tasty food, great cocktails and so nice personal! Waiters helped us to choose dishes and they were so patient- really good approach! We tried Hugo cocktail and it was delicious, one of the best cocktails I have ever tried. Salat was not trivial, duck was soft, plate of snacks was good too. They have tables outside. Prices are not high for this location.

We came here for some lunch for a traditional experience at a polish restaurant. It looked very nice inside. The staff were friendly and welcoming. There was complimentary paste and bread before our meal which was very nice. We had the shrimp and chorizo linguine and the wild boar and dumplings. Both were lovely and good portion size. The only issue was we were sat near the kitchen door and there was a lot of loud banging. Our waiter Paulina was very friendly and gave us both roses at the end of our meal. Overall a lovely experience.

We had an amazing dinner here. The restaurant offers Polish cuisine with a modern twist that I really enjoyed. The food is really good. We had the grilled goat cheese as a starter, the tagliatelle and deer ragu, all the dishes was amazing, do not miss out the grilled goat cheese. The service was also amazing, Alek was really attentive to detail, when we raised feedback, he quickly went to the kitchen to fix it, he also offered his best suggestions and made our time there better :)

Happened to stumble upon this place and loved my time here! The staff were excellent and very attentive, my waitress Ada in particular was extremely nice and made sure I was alright the whole time. Food was great as well, definitely make a stop here if you're in Warsaw!

Excellent service and nice atmosphere. We found a table there on a busy Friday night when nothing else around was available. Food was nothing special though, my Zurek wasn’t rich in flavour and my wife’s duck was too dry. Might be worth another try.
