Fresh food market
Sights & Landmarks
The Central Market of Valencia, Spain is a massive and beautiful market filled with fresh produce, spices, and specialty ingredients from all over the country. It's one of the largest markets in Europe and is also home to a Michelin starred chef who prepares bites at Central Bar. There are many stalls selling unique items from all over Spain, making it the perfect place to buy souvenirs or find regional dishes to cook at home.
Very lively place with tons of great spots for food, souvenirs and several other items. I particularly enjoyed the variety of typical foods, Spanish hams, cheeses and the ambience of the market. It is surrounded by restaurants and shops so it makes for a very nice area of the city.
Adriana Perez — Google review
A unique market experience and must-see for tourists! While you might not be able to purchase many of the items, there are still fresh juices, drinks, snacks, and other take-home items. The freshness of every market item is unlike anything I’ve seen in the states!
Colleen Martin — Google review
The market is a dream come true for any foodie. We visited twice while in Valencia and got to try a lot of stuff. The produce is all fresh and the prices are absolutely fine. There are also bathrooms right by one of the main entrances. I'd appreciate at least a small corner to eat the food you purchase there. There's plenty of outside seating by one of the side entrances, but no shadow.

This market is incredible! It's probably the best indoor market I've ever visited. I'm almost lost for words. The building itself is beautiful, but it's the amazing amount of authentic working stalls inside that has to be seen to be believed. The choice of fresh seafood, vegetables, cheeses, meats, sweets, the list goes on, will take your breath away. The fact that this market serves the local community rather than pandering to the hoards of tourists adds greatly to its charm. Not to be missed.
Michael Lees — Google review
The Central Market is one of the iconic places in Valencia. The architecture of the building itself, specially built for market trade, is noteworthy. But the most interesting thing is inside. There are fruit and vegetable rows and butcher shops with such a variety of jamon! Fish ruins are easy to find by their specific smell. But this is not the smell of a week’s catch, but a mixture of aromas of the freshest fish, octopus, cuttlefish and many more unknown sea creatures. Here you can wander around just like that, watching with interest the interactions between sellers and buyers, plunging into truly Spanish everyday life.

Fantastic place. First of all, the building is phenomenal, well maintained and beautifully decorated. The market has something for everyone, lots of seafood, different fruits and vegetables. Of course, there is also the famous prosciutto, which you must try. You haven't had breakfast, everything is waiting for you here 🙂🙂🙂

Very nice covered market in a very nice building!😍 If you are in Valencia you should definitely see it. Fresh meat, fish, vegetables, herbs, etc. A feast for the eyes. You can also enjoy coffee / tea / wine etc at the bar in the Mercado. Super friendly people, we will definitely come again. Love it!❤️Until next time😃

Wow, what an unbelievable site. There are so many vendors, fresh foods and delicious treats all over this place. There are a few things to know before coming here.. Some of the vendors only accept cash, they do not allow you to TOUCH the fruit unless you are purchasing it, it says it closes at 3:00 but everything shuts down at 2:00pm. On the back there is a nice bar with a long wait to sit at where you can grab coffee or a drink. It is crowded with locals and travelers. Go early on if you want a more upbeat relaxed experience because if you go towards closing there is a rushed feel. Next to the bar is a key copying place & a place to fix leather. This market is worth checking out!

A must visit for tourists and locals. One of the oldest markets in Europe that has been renovated and it shows; the architecture is beautiful and looks really clean for a market - so be sure to look up at the building as it can be missed with the other eye catching produce on offer. There can be an overwhelming amount of stalls to choose from and the market is huge, so give yourself ample amount of time to explore. There are plenty of cultural foods and drinks all at very good prices - there is bound to be something you will like. Minor issue is there is not much place to sit in so be prepared to either eat outside or standing up. Also there is a small fee for the toilet use.
Sam S — Google review
Notice the parrot symbol all over the place, including the old parrot structure on top of the dome of the entire building. This bird is emblematic of the market being the place for news of town gossip! This symbol has existed since the central market has existed! Numerous fruit stands, delis, butchers, artisan products and etcetera. Also has a few restaurants to eat in while you are shopping. You will see that even locals shop for their greens and fruits here. I would recommend getting a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice or a quick cafe cortado before walking around this massive commercial areas, which used to be the center of town. If wanting solid photos with less people in the vicinity, I would recommend coming right before siesta hours so that the place is semi-empty!
Nabil Ramirez — Google review
Amazing! Very hot and crowded -so maybe go early? Food was so fresh and was a great experience! Fruit, food, meats, a bar, desserts... Make sure to get the avocado toast in the back! Salads made fresh and such friendly service!!
Brianne Deeds — Google review
Beautiful market, full of fresh produce, food and souvenirs. Make sure you try a few pots while walking around admiring the architecture. I was disappointed it was closed on a Sunday as I wanted more time there, but I'm glad I got the chance to see it regardless!

If you like food and drink then you will love this place. Traditional stalls where you can get free samples before you buy. The building itself is Amazing. Fresh Meat seafood vegetables. Even buy a drink whilst looking around

Nice place to visit to grab some snacks and taste some of the localities. There you can buy veggies, fresh and cured meats, cheeses, oils and amazing seafood and even some jewelry. The Pescados stand was amazing, there you can get some fresh Unis ( sea urchin) and oysters 🦪 by peace and try right there with lemon. That was so yummy! We tried cheese and sausages too. As well as some really nice olive oils. Amazing place to check out if you’re a foodie and you can get some gifts too!

The Central Market of Valencia is one of the oldest markets still in use in Europe and has been declared a ''Heritage of Cultural Interest'' site by the Spanish Ministry of Culture. After about ten years of work it was inaugurated in the course of 1928 and decades later, in 2010, it was completely renovated. It's a popular spot among tourists as well as locals, as it’s the perfect location to immerse yourself in the heart of local culture and to get lost in its numerous aisles filled with local products.

Central Market Valencia is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves fresh, local food and an authentic shopping experience. The market is a bustling hub of activity where vendors offer an incredible variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood, spices, and baked goods. The quality of the products is outstanding and the vendors are friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to offer tips and advice on preparing and cooking their products. The market is also a feast for the eyes, with colourful displays of fresh produce and beautiful architecture that captures the essence of Valencia's history and culture. The market is conveniently located in the heart of the city and is easily accessible by public transportation or on foot. Overall, Central Market Valencia is a wonderful place to experience the local food culture and indulge in some delicious, fresh, and healthy ingredients for your meals. Highly recommended!

This place was very nice! We got this delicious candied orange there and fresh fruits and smoothies. You can’t get lunch there but tons of places to get snacks. Tons of restaurants around the outside though. The setup was just beautiful though. Definitely worth checking out!

Fascinating old market building with all variety of foods on offer. Very Spanish and a treat to see all of the fresh produce. Worth going when there is some hustle and bustle around the middle of the day. It opens from 7:30am to 3:00pm so don’t make the mistake of trying to visit in the evening!
Jeremy Gardner — Google review
This is a beautiful traditional Spanish market with great architecture both inside and outside. You can find pretty much anything there including turon, sweets, chocolates, exotic fruits. It is also a great place to eat small tapas for lunch.
Gilles Chapellon — Google review
The biggest and most popular market in Valencia. We visited on two separate days to be able to see every shop. Multitude of options from trinkets and souvenirs to butchers and food stalls. If you’re a tourist looking to buy souvenirs to bring back home, this market is your one-stop shop.
Ye Aung — Google review
This should be your number 1 place to visit whilst in Valencia if your a foodie like myself. It is simply stunning with a vast array of different shops and little restaurants inside. We spent a couple of hours here but could have stayed longer as it was so much fun. Free to enter and free to see all the beautiful types of foods from this area.

The Central Market in Valencia is great. It is in a very good location with lots on offer nearby, bars/ tapas/ street food, seating options a plenty. the street area around the market has lots to see with a number of vintage and artistic stalls. The indoor area is foodie heaven! With lots of local delights . And beyond that, lots of windy lanes to explore.
Sun Rise — Google review
Love this market! Huge variety of food, both fresh groceries and cooked dishes. We wondered around for hours trying things from different stalls including fresh oysters! Great place to spend the afternoon. Only open until 3pm.
Bav Mistry — Google review
It’s the place to be when you want to buy fresh vegetables and all other ingredients. We saw a lot of things. If you just ho to the Central Market you can find all the ingredient to make a whatever dish you want to cook. We bought delicious Turron here to eat. Our first time. The atmosphere is good. The market is clean and hygienic. Even the fish and meat area are clean.

Paradise for foodie lovers! You can eat, drink, buy souvenirs, taste excellent oils and many more. Some merchants do not accept taking photos so please keep that in mind.
Zuzanna Klimek — Google review
Beautiful old local market. Go early! Everything is closing down by 2pm (14:00). Great option for small bites, local specialties and local meat and seafood. If you’re a fan, look for the local fish mongers with fresh oysters 🦪 and uni/urchin,…or look for a favorite cured meat, paella, or seasonal fruit, all of which you can enjoy on the spot. For fresh food, be prepared with cash. Some vendors only accept cash, others only cash for small purchases, and most did not want to accept the Mercat certificados (cash coupons) that say you can spend them on market purchases. Most vendors told me they wouldn’t accept the certificates at all, or they were only for parking but not purchases.
Anne O. Davidson — Google review
A must see - one of the largest in the world with an astonishing choice and opportunities to drink/eat. Early in the morning the fish market is fantastic. A pity we cannot go shopping there every week.

Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias

Science museum
Nature & Parks
The Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias is an extremely impressive state-of-the-art science complex set within a landscaped park with a huge aquarium & IMAX screen. The architect Santiago Calatrava is largely responsible for the stunning architecture, which has been met with mixed reactions from Valencians. It's well worth visiting for the beauty and scale of the buildings, as well as the variety of exhibits on offer.
Amazing place. One of my favorite spots and definitely a must visit if you are in Valencia. The complex was designed by Santiago Calatrava and the architecture is just amazing. It includes different buildings, each one really beautiful and overall is a great place for pictures and for taking a walk. I bought a ticket that included visits to the science museum, a movie and the aquarium. I do not think the entrance to all of these it's worth it, but you can try, specially if you come with children.
Andr?s Zamudio — Google review
I provide the review for the complex only.. as we did not have time to go inside the premises. To be honest, the architectural designs are extremely amazing. I cannot describe how it really impressed me. You can see from the pictures and video. The best is to experience the complex in the afternoon and enjoying the sunset to take pictures. We love the water entertainment too. Definitely in love with this place in addition to the paellas 🥳
Mida Hardo — Google review
Much fun for kids and grown ups. The science museum is one of the most interactive ones I've been to. The aquarium was well maintained, even though a bit expensive. Took us the good part of a whole day to cover both, ideally they should be done one a day. Buy your tickets in advance for sure, even for weekdays.

Special place, different and a must visit if you are in Valencia. Well served by means of transport and 10 minutes from the center. Futuristic structure, you can visit the botanical garden. the science museum, the innovation pavilion and what is on offer in the period you are in. Unfortunately, we came across a short period of exhibition and we still appreciated the architecture, the beautiful swimming pool with the equipment that you can rent. A moment of relaxation. You can also rent bicycles to go to the park next door or visit the exhibition space which is very large.
Max Martinuzzi — Google review
Amazing place. Even if you don't visit any of the buildings there, its still a great place to just take a walk and enjoy the amazing architecture. You can take a boat ride, grab a quick drink or sandwich at the small food stand. There is a small park there where you can sit on the grass and admire the view. I visited l'oceanográfico, it was nice. The kids would enjoy it the most, I think. It takes about 2-3 hours to fully enjoy it, and taking your time at each room.
Vio Banciu — Google review
If you like Architecture, photography, and wandering around in warm weather then this is probably the place for you. The architecture is amazing and provides countless photo opportunities. The only downside was that when I visited (mid June 2023) there was a stage built by the science building that obscured many views and I understood it was there all summer as they had a number of concerts planned in the space. Also, at night it appeared that a lot of the lights went off at 10pm, and only the opera building seemed to leave the lights on later.
Michael Sutherland — Google review
The architecture is incredible. Each of the structures has distinctive features but maintains the space age style of the site. You can buy a range of entrance tickets depending on which attractions you wish to visit, the oceanographic being the most expensive. Also, it's only possible to enter the Opera House as part of a guided tour at set times. If you feel adventurous, you can hire a board or boat and shoot around the lake for a while. Each place is fascinating and worth a visit. You can also go in and out of the Science Museum as many times as you please during the day.
Michael Lees — Google review
Must visit when in Valencia. You can walk from central Valencia in apparently 50 min or you can take a bus or a tram. Definitely very impressive! Spanish modern architecture to its T. I loved everything about it. There’s some restaurants and bathrooms if you are looking for one. Highly recommend.
Artur Stec — Google review
Beautiful architecture and color scheme! It has many things to see and do. And is always full of people tourists, locals and students in large groups. The exhibits inside the water spaces are beautiful pierces of art. There are several shopping and eating places within walking distance.
Tarang Srivastava — Google review
Absolutely loved this place as the glass and skeleton like architecture goes so well with the water surrounding the buildings. The buildings and gardens are maintained well and they are very clean. We happened to visit when there was a Christmas market which was lovely as they had a variety of food stalls and gift shops. We didn’t enter any of the buildings but a walk around here and the park is a great way to spend the day!
Julia SH — Google review
It's really a treasure. Beautiful and a wow architecture and romantic environment. I did not have opportunity to visit inside buildings but from outside its so unique. Worth to see
Sanaz Nik — Google review
Great place to visit with kids or kids at heart. Lots of interactive displays set in a very beautifully designed building. Worth the visit just to explore the building. Also tickets are reasonably priced compared to some of the close by attractions.
Dave Parker — Google review
Amazing place. It looks like it’s from the future and I love it. You need to spend a full day there to really enjoy. I spent most of the time in the museum of Science and I loved the concept. There was a section for history of music, for the earth and mars and also different experiments you could try about a lot of scientific subjects. It is very educational and fund for children and people of all ages. I had fun.
Jezuela Gega — Google review
These amazing futuristic buildings in Valencia are a must see. We visited on a cruise and the shuttle bus dropped up in the town centre where there are plenty of historic buildings to view. But I wanted to see the HEMISFERIC structure and other "star trek style futuristic buildings" and WOW WOW WOW. Thanks to Google maps and a cheap local bus ride to get us there.
glyn moore (ytgvmtv) — Google review
The low rating is specifically for the science museum. I paid €9 and it was a total waste of money. The building itself is incredible, but you can see it for free from the outside. The exhibits inside are 90% Spanish with no translations. Everything felt disorganized which was a shame given how much space they had to work with. This could’ve been an amazing place to visit, but save your money and just walk through the lobby and visit the outside areas.

Oceanogràfic

Aquarium
Nature & Parks
The Oceanographic aquarium in Valencia is the largest of its kind in Europe and contains nearly 500 different species of marine life. The building owes its impressive concrete roofing to the architect Felix Candela, who designed it as a magical space of water and wildlife. Visitors are able to explore different sections of the aquarium over the course of four hours, and it is definitely worth reserving time in your itinerary in Valencia to visit!
This is one of the best attractions in Valencia. Some people in their reviews say you will be done in an hour and a half but we spend over 2 hours and we enjoyed every minute. We spend so much time watching each of the animals, they were all so amazing to see. The dolphin show is around 10 am or 11 so get there early as the seats fill up fast. Some of the best parts were the sea lions, the flamingos, and the most unique part was the tunnel where you walk underneath stingrays, manta rays, sharks, jellyfish. You can see their features up close it's amazing.
Aisling Mulligan — Google review
Amazing. A must see even if you don't have children. We had an absolute ball here. The day was a long one so be prepared to eat on site to make sure you get to see every attraction. Very worth the price and long day. The children and the grandparents loved it.
Casey Jackson-Myers — Google review
We have purchased tickets in advance, but can be purchased at spot. Plenty of parking, daily rate was 7 euro, with additional ticket taken in shops. A lot of connecting buildings, map can be taken at info point. Kids loved it, plenty to see and experience. We stayed about 6 hours and were able to see everything (about 8k steps :))
Brankica Stan — Google review
I visited L'Oceanogràfic on a rainy day in Valencia, and it turned out to be the perfect indoor activity. The aquarium is massive and incredibly well-maintained. The sea life creatures appear happy and healthy, making it a truly enjoyable experience. It was a fantastic decision for a rainy day outing. The location is awesome, the parking is quite convenient. I’d recommend to book the tickets in advance. This place can get quite busy on weekends and holidays.
Bharat Balakrishnan — Google review
I think it is a bit expensive for what you can see in the aquarium. Some animals, like the penguins were kept in a very small space and the dolphin show was a bit uncomfortable to watch, there are like 18 of them in a pool that is not big enough for them to swim and more so being so many of them being kept there... I liked the layout, that you can be outside from one part of the Aquarium to another, but for that money I was expecting the animals to be in bigger and better places, sort of like the aquarium in Lisbon. Also most of the vending machines were broken and it was very difficult to get a drink. But overall it was good, especially the tunnel where you could enjoy seeing a great variety of sea life swimming around!
Memi GM — Google review
So much more than an aquarium. We spent hours there and didn't get to see it all. The kids had a great time hoping from one creature exhibit to the next. The animals all seem to be top priority and well cared for. So many different animals to see and very up close. Tye dolphin show was a clear favourite. Lots of fun and amazing tricks. Make sure you arrive early because there is limited seating.
Stephanie C — Google review
The place in total was really cool, and we had great experiences there. They had everything from tropical fish, to birds to penguins! They also had a dolphin show, which happens every few hours, and that was white cool also, and they also translated everything. Which was good. It does take a long time to visit everything, and I would say you need at least 5 hours to visit everything. The tickets were quite expensive, as for everything, we ended up paying 170€ for 4 adults and 1 child. The food there was also very good, however it was slightly expensive too. Overall, the place was really cool, and I would recommend. But beware, we went here even when it wasn't the crowded season, and it was still pretty full, so you might want to buy tickets earlier, depending on what time of year you want to go.
Quantum Phantasy — Google review
One of the best aquariums that exist in the world. I’ve been in multiple aquariums in North America, Asia, and Europe. This is simply one of the bests. It achieves a good combination of fishes from different seas and climates, as well as marine mammals, birds and lizards. A trip around the globe of multiple ecosystems in a single place. The facilities are clean, and well maintained. I was a bit hesitant about dolphins in captivity, but they seem to be treated very well and responsibly. Staff is nice and passionate about working with all this marine life. It was great to see. Last but not least, there are good food options, from casual restaurant, to a hot dog hut with multiple options. At 40 Euros, It’s on the expensive side, considering Valencia prices, but the trip was totally worth it. Good for adults, kids, and families. I was traveling solo, and no regrets.
Miguel M. Avalos — Google review
A magnificent aquarium. You can spend almost a full day in it. An aquarium that hosts animals that you may not see in your life. It is very pleasant to walk in. Every detail is very well thought out. You can also coincide with events inside. There was an event with dolphins. Although I was against the use of animals in these events for commercial reasons, it was a good event. I felt sorry for the small area reserved for penguins. I am saddened by the confinement of living things that were brought from their natural habitats to small spaces.

Boss day out. Kids love it here. Lots to do and seem food is good but expensive. Toilets everywhere which is always a plus with 4 little kids. Not like your usual aquarium can spend a good part of the day here and not go bored. Dolphin show is good. So are the shark area. Lots of good stuff and good staff. 4D show is also good abs with the extra for the shark one.
William Burnett — Google review
Huge place that will require several hours for the best visit. Make sure to keep your kids well fed and happy to ensure that everyone will have a good time in yours and the others' groups. The exhibition will be crowded at times so have patience. The dolphin show is a must see. I watched it twice because, to be honest, it was a bit hard to follow. Young children around me thought the dolphin show was too much talk and too little action. When something cool actually happened they missed it because they didn't know where to look.I also weren't prepared when and where they would perform a trick. Penguins would have been so fun to see but the window on that exhibition was a bit dirty and had water droplets all over it making it a bit hard to see clearly. This diminished the possibilities of an amazing, once in a lifetime, experience. All in all, at first I thought it felt expensive but was actually very good value for money. If you visit Valencia and have the time and the money, go there.
Photo Deus — Google review
Had a very nice experience with my family here. It was the main thing we enjoyed in Valencia. For anyone that is a lover of animals and oceanic life than I would recommend spending a couple hours here. We also got to witness the dolphin show where they taught us about the latest technology used in research and I found that really interesting. NOTE: We bought our tickets at the front office like a lot of other people. Definitely don’t need to book in advance unless you want to skip the line.

Amazing place. A must if you can - especially good for children. Sooo much to see. Be prepared for lots of walking both inside and out - place is enormous but very well designed and organised. Huge selection of rays and sharks. Beluga whales were the highlight for us and we  feel privileged to have seen them. Highly recommended buying tickets online beforehand
Liz Woolfitt — Google review
Recommending buying tickets in advance so you can skip the line. Need to know exact day and time of the visit to do so. There are some discounts if you buy combo tickets with other landmarks in the city. You can google it to see which ones. Also you need at least 4 hours to see all parts of the place, its really big. Dolphins show is worth it.
Radosveta Petrova — Google review
I arrived on a Saturday almost at 4 pm and they asked me if I wanted to enter because I had about 2 hours left for the visit. They were so kind. I managed to see everything in a bit of a rush, but definitely, I recommend taking more time. I loved the dolphin show, there was one ever hours and they announced it before the last one started. I also loved the rest of the visit, truly a great experience.
F. Zefi — Google review
Such a great aquarium. I’ve visited many aquariums and this one is definitely top 5. So many different animals to see. I liked how they separated most of them by locations (where they would be found in the wild). They had very informative signs. Even though there were a lot of people, it didn’t feel overly crowded. We had a great time.
Widnelly Canales — Google review
I absolutely love this aquarium one of my favorite. Easily my favorite part of Valencia. I would recommend buying the tickets online in advance huge time saver and it will save money. This place is great who all ages and you can easily spend the whole day here. I would highly recommend the dolphin show, it is amazing.

Amazing marine life centre, a must see. Amazing design and layout and plenty to see. Informative and instructional for adults and children. Good restaurant with table service and a reasonably priced food selection of food from the menu. The portions were very large as well. Highly recommended.
Chris Newman — Google review
I did not know what to expect, but this place is really special. The buildings and facilities are amazing. You really need to 3 to 4 hours to see all well. The Delphine show is good (included as part of ticket price), but not super amazing, however it’s great for kids to learn. The shark tunnel is fantastic!
Roberto Carton — Google review
A diverse range of aquatic life on exhibit. Displays with an environmental theme are located throughout and feature powerful statements about pollution & plastics. Food services were not plentiful on site, but there are many nearby. Entrance price was a bit steep, but comparable to similar attractions in major cities.
Barbara Williams — Google review
This is definitely 100 times better than bioparc. It's got a huge space almost like the Disneyland of aquariums. It's easy to spend 4-6 hours here except the food options are terrible here so some people suggested bringing your own food. The dolphin show also is very boring, maybe it's very humane and kind to the dolphins but there was 70 percent lecture on saving the dolphins and 30 percent show. Kids couldn't even sit through it, the Spanish audience were the best though, they were singing and dancing thru the music which was much more interesting than the disorganized dolphins. To compare, even a tiny aquarium in Hokkaido Japan had a better dolphin show. However they do have some really cool tanks. I There was one underwater tunnel they had Atlantic fish which was not so pretty bit there was another tunnel with sharks and tortoises. It's very cool. The bird case was a cool structure but looks better from the outside than from the inside. The octopus is totally cool to look at. The whole area is pretty big but it's not too hard to walk it all. Not really sure I saw it all but the kids were too tired to keep going after 5 hours. Highly recommend the sharks, penguins, belugas, flamingos and the octopus. Very very fun place. Worth the entrance.

This place is a true gem, and here's why: The Oceanographic is incredibly well-maintained, showcasing an impeccable level of care for both the marine life and the visitors. The size of the facility is impressive, offering a vast and diverse array of exhibits to explore. It's like stepping into a world of aquatic diversity and beauty. One of the standout features of the Oceanographic is its cleanliness. Everywhere I looked, the facility gleamed with cleanliness, making the visit all the more enjoyable. It's evident that the staff takes great pride in maintaining a pristine environment for both the animals and guests. The exhibit layout is both extensive and well-organized, with various buildings dedicated to different marine themes. Whether you're fascinated by sharks, mesmerized by dolphins, or curious about penguins, there's something here for everyone. The diverse range of exhibits ensures that you'll never run out of new and exciting things to see. The quality of the exhibits and the welfare of the marine life were top-notch. It's clear that the Oceanographic is dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable environment for the animals. From playful dolphins to majestic jellyfish, the experience is nothing short of magical.

Hands down the best aquarium I have ever been too - A great variety of spaces and stunning marine life, all in pristine facilities. We went there thinking it would be a couple of hours, but easily spent 4 - 5 enjoyable hours. Dolphins were definitely a highlight 🐬 Would certainly recommend going if you get the chance. Plenty of choices for food if you get hungry too - Great place for a family trip out

An amazing day out! We went In April and it wasn’t busy at all! They had great sections to view; split into regions and it was very spacious to walk around. So many cafe/food places to eat and drink. Great kids facilities. Very convenient busy-ness screens to let you know how full an exhibit is. Staff were all very friendly. Prices for food and drink expensive but expected in an attraction.

Fantastic place! We spent over 7 hours here, strolling around the outdoor exhibits, watching the dolphin show, and going through the many underground exhibits showcasing a wide variety of fish including sharks, rays and eels, as well as turtles, seals, beluga whales, and penguins. And so many birds - flamingos, ducks, ibis, swans, and spoonbills. Take your time! It's well worth the price of admission. This aquarium is well maintained and clean. Animals appear well taken care of. Staff are very friendly and most speak English. We went in January, with no lineups, but still recommend buying tickets online ahead of time. Got to go straight in! Be aware you can bring in water bottles to drink, but no food allowed. This is to make sure you don't feed the animals. Reasonable request considering the circumstances! This was definitely a highlight of our stay in Valencia. Highly recommend going for the day!

This aquarium is so pretty! There are a lot to see : beluga, turtles, pingouins, birds, crocodiles and more. You can easily spend half a day there and there are some restaurants/fast foods to treat yourself. I visited Oceanographic as an adult but I was as excited as a child. Would 100% recommend it, especially if you have kids.

Awesome. We loved it. The spaces are out of this world. I love how it puts a lot of focus on the environment. We booked the backstage tour that takes you inside and explain how the water filtration works. Our guide Nuria was very knowledgeable and replied all our questions. Also in case anyone needs it there are lockers, the size might fit a very small carry on, but otherwise I wouldn't take any luggage with you here. We also tried the 4D movie theater, it was very good. An amazing experience, I believe it was only 3 euros. It's a must see in Valencia.
Jamie Monroy — Google review
Great place for the whole family, beautiful surroundings outside and the aquarium itself is really well managed and spacious. Even when busy, it’s quite easy to look around. It’s a fair bit of walking but lots of places to sit down.
Sunil Raja — Google review
Wow what a big and beautiful aquarium. I’ve visited some aquariums and I’ve never been to one where they pay so much attention to the animals and how big their living environments are. This is how we’ve ended up spending almost 4,5 hours here, something we couldn’t imagine beforehand. There are a lot different animals to see. Very good of the park to separate most of them by locations (where they would be found in the wild). Must say that the signage in English is very good and placed at every item.
Remco Stribos — Google review
Love the park. We had very nice weather so that is also a plus. But it's recommended to pay a visit. Only the Dolphin show was not what I expected. A little short in my opinion. But a lot fish and beautiful Aquariums to see.
Alexander Lundqvist — Google review
Superb experience for our little one and for us. It was a bit crowded as we visited during the weekend. Parking is paid extra and the spaces are quite small. The show was wonderful, a bit short for what we expected but very friendly and lovely dolphins.

Sights & Landmarks
Sant Nicolau de Bari i Sant Pere Màrtir is a Gothic-style Catholic church with an opulent baroque interior, featuring elaborate gilding and ceiling frescoes. Although located a distance away from other attractions, it is deemed worthy of a visit, being dubbed the "Sistine chapel of Valencia." The intricate Catholic figures and chapels within the church are impressive, complemented by the fascinating architecture.
It's a quaint church, located a bit far from the rest of the attractions but definitely worth a visit. They call it the "Sistine chapel of Valencia", a well deserved nickname in my opinion. The paintings are beautiful, the ornate Catholic figures and little chapels inside the church are simply incredible. The architecture is fascinating and the free audio guide is definitely a nice touch. I would visit this church over and over. Such an amazing experience.
Adriana Perez — Google review
This is an unbelievable experience. Stunning art and beautiful architecture. I have been to Valencia many times and somehow missed it. It should be on the top of any visitor’s list. The people running the church are wonderful and very helpful. Audio guide is included with your ticker and you can even use your phone. The entrance is down a side alley so look for it but usually someone is by the sign to direct you inside.
Aaron Ochse — Google review
When I read about this church I thought oh no, not another kitschy hyperbaroque escapade. They call it Sistine Chapel of Valencia. But when I actually entered it...yes, flamboyant, but still with character, balanced. I stayed here much longer than in the Cathedral nave, the atmosphere somehow caught me. Definitely visit and try to feel it. Perhaps it will be worthy, who knows.
Igor Petri?ek — Google review
An almost must see if you're into the Gothic style. This Roman Catholic church is stunning for it's murals and ceilings. Well hidden in the old city of Valencia between houses. Look at the opening hours (closed on Monday's), they may vary. Look at the pictures what to expect. Audio tour is available and inclusive. Price for adults is € 9.
Paul van den Berg — Google review
This Church is a little jewel. In my opinion the highlight is the cealing full of frescoes and fantastic finishing touches. Who goes to Valencia, must visit this Churc.
antonio nicotra — Google review
must visit. I got a €4 reduction from €11 due to being an old g#t. The place is so full of Catholic bling. I have seen the Sistine and whilst not as wonderful it is still quite something. The free audio tour is worth using, though the amount of information is mind blowing. I am glad I don't have to sit an exam to show my recall. I took lots of photos and videos to help me recall. my visit. The time to get round is probably minimum 20 mins but half an hour is better.
Bill Ryan — Google review
Artwork is astonishing. Normally not a church guy but this is truly stunning. Recommend going full hardcore tourist and taking the audiotour. You can scan it with a QR code. Very easy. If you have a artsy bone in your body check it out
Ruben Spyckerelle — Google review
Our first time in Valencia and was told not to miss this church. This was one of the most beautifully painted churches I have been to. The paintings on the ceilings of the lives of Saint Peter Martyr and Saint Nicholas are amazing as well as the many chapels around the church. There is an audio guide where you can listen to the history as you walk around admiring the paintings.
Robb Kinney — Google review
Outstanding, impressive art. Very well put together its history by audio phones included in the entrance. This is a must see. The Sixtine Chapel of Valencia.Entrance fee was 9 euros provinding audio phones and an explanatory pamphlet in English and Spanish.

The Instal·lacions dels Jardins del Túria is a vast green space located in Valencia's city centre, occupying the former course of Rio Turias. The 9km-long park features various facilities such as sports courts, play equipment and a bike path. It offers an ideal mix of jogging and walking paths, playing fields, lawns and playgrounds for families to enjoy. Additionally, it's an excellent place to get some exercise with plenty of running clubs available.
Great park with various types of plants and trees It's better if you hire a bike for taking a round and see the whole park. If you like walking or running or cycling, you are in the right place in valencia

One of my favourite things about Valencia is this park. It's great to have such a sprawling green space in the city centre. It's teeming with runners, walkers, and families enjoying time together. There's plenty of sports clubs and also restrooms.

La ciudad de las Ciencias, Valencia Spain . People is very friendly. The month of January is a little bit colder than the rest of the year, but you still can take long walks in this beautiful side walk in the City of Cience. You can find hundreds of restaurants around the area where they have an amazing menu to choose from. Very cozy town ☺️

Excellent for kids! We had a lot of fun and we were even able to order food and have it delivered on site to eat white children were playing. It is a nice area especially thought for kids !
Liliana Romano — Google review
Hands down, the most interesting children's park I've ever been to. It was slightly more 'advanced' than I expected though, a bit scary for my 4-year old to go up steep sides and slides. Can't eat inside the enclosure, though there are picnic tables right outside.

Kamil Bęś — Google review
An incredible resource, that is great for walking, cycling or running. A great flat way to get through the city with various things to do in the park along the way. At the end of the park are the great science museums and art/performance halls

It is very impressive the idea of making a huge park into the river's bed. At the begennings the Municipality wanted to make a highway, but the citizens voted for a green area. Very nice, green, with many paths for pedestrians and bikes. Also, the impressive architectural and futuristic buildings are breathtaking (opera house, ocenario, scientific museum, hemisphere). You cand also find food and restaurants. If you have Valencia on your list, it is mandatory to visit one by one the mentioned above attractions, including a walk along the park.

Fine dining restaurant
The Ricard Camarena Restaurant is a nestled fine dining establishment in Valencia, Spain that offers an elegant and seasonal Mediterranean menu. Outdoor seating and wheelchair accessible dining make it a popular choice forthose looking for a relaxing evening out. The restaurant also serves wine, beer and cocktails, making it the perfect spot to indulge in some delicious Mediterranean cuisine.
What an amazing experience, thank you! This is a restaurant that is at the top of its game. The chef is still in house and directly serving patrons. (He's not off cashing in on his stars and leaving the restaurant to stagnate like so many others have). Each dish was a surprise of innovation in flavor, construction, and presentation. Even the silverware style changed for each course. (And there were 16 or 17 courses.) The wine selection was also good. Valencia was thoroughly and appropriately represented, and we had a customized btg tasting experience (thank you!). Bottle and glass prices are about retail - they clearly want you to enjoy your experience. The water actually cost us more than wine, but we had 6 bottles of water and only 4 glasses of wine. Overall, prepare to be happily satiated before the meal ends, and know that there is cream with nearly every course. We were gifted with a signed letter from the chef and a customized menu that contained our exact wines. One of our best fine dining experiences. 3 star deserving. Thank you!!
Jason Siefferman — Google review
Really unique dining experience from beginning to end. We had the main tasting menu with a wine pairing. The food was generally quite good and the story they tell with each course is worth your time, but some of the dishes were either being tested or just didn’t belong on the menu. The wine pairing started off strong, but the last half was barely palatable and didn’t enhance the food. I’d skip the pairing and go with a light wine to pair more consistently with the largely vegetable and fish based meal. Overall, I’d recommend a visit and would return once the menu has been updated.
Rob Francis — Google review
From the moment you walk in, it feels like you’re somehow in a completely different space, completely isolated from the busy streets of Valencia on the outside. The whole team does an outstanding job at explaining the concept behind their menu, every single plate you get served, and overall, ensuring a wonderful experience. The restaurant is beautiful and the whole atmosphere makes you enjoy everything so much more. The food was the best I’ve tried in my entire life. I think that sums it up pretty good, because if I would go into detail this review would be way too long. All I can say is that this restaurant is a once in a lifetime culinary experience and I would recommend this to anyone. Safe to say, I will hopefully be back!

Wonderful experience, from entering until leaving the restaurant, every moment was well taken care of. The service is top notch, staff were friendly and knowledgeable. 6th stop in our Spanish East coast Michelin tour. You can read the other reviews on my profile and follow. A universe at the cutting edge, yet made accessible. As usual, I’ll focus on what’s interesting in my reviews. But here, there’s way to many things to say. So let me start by the end, the 3 stars in Spain should be worried, because the competition from the 2 stars is serious, especially this one. I’ll just take two angles, just to attempt to explain the incredible level your in. Interestingly, when you enter, you’ll see plenty of books about gastronomy, and you ll find more later on. There are not there just for display. There are there because there’s a true thinking about gastronomy and its evolution. For instance, the work around fermentation, is at the cutting edge in Michelin stars (it’s growing but plenty are not even there). Or the fact that some dishes have an entry note and then evolve like a great wine. Another interesting point is that they have their vegetable garden, and use every part of their products. This naturally creates links between dishes which create a constancy, almost like every dish is from the same universe. And that’s my main point. You feel that you’re entering in an universe, Ricardo Camarena universe, and a very welcoming one thanks to the brigade de salle. But this universe makes sense, you can feel it’s strong coherence. From the deep knowledge of the gastronomic world and history, the attention to taste and its mechanisms, the respect of the nature and the creativity to use every part of nature’s gift, it all makes sense. I could stop there, but I have to thank the team for their work, with a special one to Salvatore. Passard and Piège are the two names that came to my mind there, if you want references. It’s clearly a top tiers 2 stars and a very strong contender to a 3rd one. And I’ve tried many (more reviews are coming, I promise!). Judging by the level is bringing on the table, the 3 stars have serious competition!

Farmers Markets
The Mercat Central d'Alacant is a large and popular market in the city of Alacant, in the province of Alicante, Spain. It consists of vendors selling produce, seafood and meats, as well as cheeses and breads. The market is especially good for fruit, with a wide variety of choices available. Prices are high, but the quality of food is exceptional. The market is open Monday through Saturday morning, and it closes at 5pm on Sundays.
Mercat Central makes it fun to do the groceries. We go almost daily, everything is fresh and local. There are many kiosks to chose from and we now have our favourites where helpful merchants offer a friendly service. Be attentive to prices as some have way higher prices than others for the same products (especially in the produce section). This market is however not a tourist trap, many locals and restaurateurs buy their food here!

You can find barely everything there. Fresh meat, cheese and fish downstairs also vegetables and fruits and dried fruit. There is also a big market that sells bathroom things and beauty stuff. In front of it there is a nice square with flowers shops and a bar where you can eat tapas, that's also inside the Mercado!!

Now fully aircon with meat upstairs and fruit & veg & fish downstairs. Loads of little bars inside round the edge for drinks and snacks and lovely flower market at the back with another cafe bar.

This is the place to be for your tapas cravings, fresh meat, seafoods, produce and many more! There are some bakeries inside too that sell a variety of tasty Spanish cakes, pastries and bread. This market is a walking distance to our hotel so it’s hard to miss. It can also be easily reached by a bus or a metro. At the back of the Market there’s a tiny “plaza” with tables and chairs and close by is a cafe where you can order your drinks. Next to it too are arrays of shops selling a selection of colorful fresh flowers. Visited on a Saturday morning and the market was quite busy but not crowded.

What a discovery. This market can easily compete with the ones in Barcelona and Valencia. The assortment is amazing and the prices normal and not for tourists. I am sure we will make this a weekly trip

This is a must go place for those who love going to local markets. I really enjoyed seeing seeing a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, seafood and processed meat and sausages. A bit touristic but I see a lot of locals also shop here. We can really get a glimpse of local products, and this market is centrally located, so it is easy to reach.

The Central Market is awesome! Mainly meat upstairs and fish downstairs, with a few tapas bars on both floors. There are also public toilets here. I went late on Saturday afternoon and the shops were starting to pack away and the tapas bars were very busy. I really wanted to try a tapas bar but it was too busy for someone who doesn't speak Spanish. I will try again earlier in the day and on a weekday.

Great market for fresh produce. Prices are great, just as in the supermarket, but you get better things. You can also buy flowers outside of the market att the stalls. The have stalls for olives, meats, bread and baked goods, fish and seafood, nuts and dried fruits, cheeses, fruit and vegetables and much more. I recommend going early in the morning to get the best things. Also to buy some local foods to try and maybe have a picknick with. A must visit in Alicante.
O.A — Google review
Kind of meat, fish, veg and fruit market. Great choice of everything that is fresh. It is very expensive but you are paying for high quality food. I have never seen better asparagus than in this place. As a British tourist I was very impressed and end up going there every 3 days.Again the prices are very high. There's no fish on Mondays and it's closed on Sundays. Beware of the locals they tend to jump the queue a lot but some stands use tickets numbers so be vigilant otherwise you end up waiting your turn for ages. Importantly most fish sellers are honest and gave me change back because i made lots of mistakes using the euros.

The city's biggest market. Lower/ basement level is for fruits and vegetables, and seafood..meaning a lot of meat products (unfortunately). Prices were varying for oranges ex . between 1-2 €/ kg. I had a better experience of freshness and prices in the city's largest open air/flee market (Mercadillo de Teulada). It is large, but certainly not a jaw dropping experience.

A big city central market with great produce, greengrocers, butchers, fishmongers and very busy with locals and tourists. Seems that every Spanish city has one like this and they are brilliant. Just wish I could buy more and cook it locally. Accessible with lifts and ramps.

A beautiful building houses the fresh-market with loads of things to see and taste. I could have spent hours there. Be sure to get a taste of jamón ibérico and manchego cheese and I’m sure there were hundreds of other delights to try. Meat and cheeses are upstairs and seafood downstairs!

One of the most authentic Spanish Markets I have visited in Spain. The whole Market is well played out excellent signage pointing buyers to the right areas. Truely worth a visit for some traditional shopping.
PAUL WARD — Google review
Bustling with life, the central market of Alicante sells everything that the port town offers - from whole Iberico Ham Legs, the largest of sea produce, and the freshest of vegetables and fruits. We had freshly squeezed fruit juice for only a couple of Euros - the storeowner just walked over to the fruit store, picked out the fruits, and juiced it then and there for us. 🍊🍉🥭 There were Christmas carolers just outside the beautiful building, which really made for such a beautiful atmosphere. It definitely isn't winter wonderland, but it's a beautiful place to spend the Christmas in for sure ☀️😎

The Santa Catalina Horchatería is a long-running cafe that specializes in delicious hot chocolates, churros and pastries. It has been serving its customers for over two centuries and is famous for its horchata. The cafe also sells a variety of chocolate which can be paired with it depending on your preferences.
Amazing horchata. The best I’ve ever had. Just astounding. The churros and the pastries were good as well. The line seems long, but the place has tons of tables, so you don’t wait long. Just go and go for it. I would say that it’s an absolute must-try. The prices are also reasonable.
Ben Park — Google review
The prices were a bit too high for my liking and even more so, if you consider the service. You had to pay right up, after ordering and our waitress wasn’t very friendly. It is nice to try specialties from Spain, but it’s not really a place to sit down and really enjoy your food or have a talk, as it is very noisy. The fartones were rather dry, and really nothing to pay too much for. The interior is very nice, if you want to take pictures, and it’s also sweet, that they offer their own chocolate.

A popular location, just off the square. Very tasty and the kids loved the delicious churros and cup of thick creamy hot chocolate. Probably don't need a cup each but it was a nice bit of indulgence. Has a busy youthful feel about the place so perhaps not the right venue if you want to sit back and relax for a couple of hours.

I tried horchata and farton. Horchata was tasty, it was my first time trying it. I must say I enjoyed it. It’s very sweet. One glass costs 3.5€ (quite expensive). I also took one farton pastry (1.1€). Nothing special. Just some dough. You get served really fast, waitresses take your order at the table. You can also try ice cream here and some other types of fartons (I took the classic one without filling). On the negative side I could not see a menu list anywhere so I had no idea how much I’ll have to pay in the end. The place is spacious. They have more sitting tables upstairs. It is very touristic place, that’s why more expensive than other horchaterias, but have tasty horchata though

Beautiful interior, fitting for the area the place is in. We ordered a coffee, horchata and churros with chocolate. The churros was truly delicious the coffee was average. However service was a bit “basic” no menu available in the restaurant only at the front door, not a single smile and you get your bill right away with your orders. I would have been interested to try other dishes from the menu since I was already there. Also note that you’ll not be to pay with bank card only above 12€.
Takemoto Takumi — Google review
We indulged in the famous horchata and churros paired with a delightful chocolate cream. The experience, however, did not entirely live up to expectations. While the taste was decent, there wasn’t anything exceptionally remarkable that stood out during our visit. The ambiance of the place carried a sense of nostalgia, making it feel as though we had traveled back in time. It seemed to be tightly bound to its historical roots, not entirely managing to keep pace with contemporary tastes and expectations.
Tamas Varga — Google review
Orchata is very nice, and churros are quite ok, but not splendid. It's a self-service, or you order at the cash register and someone hands you food next to it - McDonald's style - not so great. Uncomfortable wooden chairs, traditional but not beautiful art on the walls, overall worth a try but not coming back, except for the Orchata

Very good place to enjoy horchata and fartons or churros and chocolates also ice cream. Very authentic and classic place located in downtown of Valencia. Staffs are friendly and helpful with english for tourist. The difficulties are only because they don’t have written menu so you’ll need to ask what they have.

Awesome! What's not to love? Is it touristy - yes! Is it good - yes! Just for the experience go here. The Horchateria is delicious - pastries amazing. Don't leave Valencia having not been here.
Andrew Kinnear — Google review
The fartons were good like a pastry. Churros was good but try not to over order like us. We got 1 order (of 4 pieces) and then added another 2 orders (8 pieces) for 2 adults And 2 kids and that was enough to make us all feel yucky afterwards. Lots of sugar buzz from the kids afterwards. It tastes better when you just have a little otherwise the grease gets to you. Horchata was like a rice milk drink which we thought was good. Waitress says there are no menus and just tell them what you want. Service not so great but fast. Atmospheric.

This place provides a step back into history in every sense. The menu, the decor, the service and churros, fartons & horcha! The churros are light, crispy and fresh… not oily. The horcha was a little too sweet for me but the fartons complimented very well.

The cafe has a good atmosphere, but the service was quite bad. We were waiting for long time to make an order and no one told us that we had to check the menu from outside. Horchata was fine, but it tasted as in any other place. They have different options for desserts.

I've been to other Orxaterias, so honestly this one is an experience that you wanna have one time & only. You will not repeat it again. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Horchata was very delicious. The problem is the design of the place. You don't feel comfortable & you just wanna finish and leave.

The service was quick and efficient. The people who take the orders are very friendly. I liked the regular and chocolate churros. The hot chocolate is ok. The farton is not my style but the Horchata is heaven sent. I had two when I visited. 😂
Rowell R. Reyes — Google review
We got our horchata and farton to go so I can not speak of the service. Personally, the horchata was a little too sweet for my liking. I am still glad I went to experience this drink for the first time in Spain as it was recommended by our tour guide as being her favorite spot in Valencia. The farton, on the other hand, was perfect. I would go again for this alone.
Chas Mayer — Google review
It's a nice, traditional café which is famous for its horchata (tiger nut milk). The horchata is nice, but quite pricey. The interior is very beautiful but we weren't impressed with the fartons (which is the sweet pastry eaten with horchata). I also got recommended to try the buñuelos here (a fried sweet dough similar to churros) and they were served completely cold which is outrageous for the price in my opinion. Also, the chocolate was quite nice in flavour but was served in a paper cup which I found strange given that we were dining in and not taking out. Unfortunately it seems that it's a very touristy place and they don't focus on quality that much.

If you want to try the buñuelos or the churros. These come with dark hot chocolate. They are one of the oldest where they serve these delicious recipe. The line can be long as a lot of tourist and locals Visit. They have a stairs to go to the first floor. The inside and outside are both decorated with beautiful tiles. Portraying different stories. The staff is kind and fast (they have to with so many people) You have to pay immediately after you received your order. Keeping it efficient. Atmosphere is not there. Amazing churros and hot chocolate. It's all i came here for based on reviews and google searches. It stands up to It's hype. 🙂 The churros comes hot and fresh with 4 pieces on a plate. And the hot chocolate thick and warm enough to dip the churros in a soon as they land on your table. Servers were great. I mean, minimal interaction needed anyway as i went alone and that's all i ordered. Surprisingly but not an issue at all is thta as soon as they bring your order to the table, they as to pay right away. Again not an issue, just something I've not experienced before. My one regret! I came from the central market before going here. I had ham sandwich there and sangria. On my way here, i saw a churro shop outside the market and ordered churros as well 😄 (last 2 pics are from there, you'll see the branding on the paper cup). So this is my 2nd order of churro within the hour and i can't finish it coz im full. I only ate 2 pieces. Skip the one at the market if you get tempted. Its also good dont get me wrong, but this is better ambience, seating and all.

Restaurant
Palau Alameda is a hip and trendy restaurant with a rooftop courtyard and great views of Valencia. The food is excellent, with plenty of choice for brunch, as well as steak, tuna and wine options. Staff are knowledgeable and attentive, making it a great place to enjoy a meal.
Nice view and good food. I came for lunch. Not many people here. But I think they are busy dinner time.

Mediterranean restaurant
Fierro is a restaurant in Ruzafa neighbourhood in Buenos Aires with an innovative and personal take on Mediterranean food and wine pairings. The team of chefs Carito Lourenco and German Carrizo has worked under the direction of Quique Dacosta at restaurants Vuelve Carolina and El Poblet, where they learnt to reinterpret Mediterranean cuisine with their unmistakable Argentinian stamp.
The most amazing meal I have ever had. On each of your nine tasting courses they don't tell you what it is until after you have eaten it. You may think you are getting one particular thing and after you eat it think it is something else only to learn it was something completely different. The flavors, the wine pairings, the service, the attention to detail was better than you could imagine.

An amazing fusion between Valencian and Argentinian food. My personal favorites were the firewood lobster and the empanada. Every dish was served with a lot of love. Thank you team Fierro!

Incredible experience at Fierro ! First of course, the food : it was just perfect, the taste, the textures, the look ! It was soooo good ! The wines were great too ! (but maybe to much wines, we always had 2 glasses at the same time) The secret menu : you don't know what you eat before you eat it, so during the whole diner you are trying to guess the ingredients, which makes the tasting very active and exciting ! The service : Everyone was perfect. So kind and funny (thank you Mariana for your constant smile). Every plate was very well explained, and we really appreciated the fact that different people explained the plates (floor manager, waitress, sous-chef etc...). It made the experience so special because we switched from spanish to english to french depending on the person. And finally the atmosphere : good music, full black experience, very casual vibe ! We loved it ! I'm writing this review almost 3 years later, and I still remember everything. For me that's the proof that this diner was memorable ! Once again : thank you ! Viva Fierro !

A brilliant little restaurant. Very intimate setting with a view of the Ruzafa market. The simple concept of withholding information about each dish until after you've eaten it is incredibly clever. It keeps your attention on the food, and constantly gives you something to discuss as you try to discern what exactly you're eating. Highly recommended.

A symphony of flavours and textures! The seafood was incredibly fresh and there were lots of the produce I have never tried before, like a lot of sea- based plants. I like the concept of not knowing what you are eating until after. Give your self at least 3 hours to get through all the courses. The Yuzu seltzer they had was also great if you don’t drink alcohol.

A very unique experience with amazing food and very good service. We were a table of 6 and some arrived late but they were very accommodating and also a last minute dietary requirement which they executed without any problems and the alternatives looked amazing! The whole evening was a game with us having to guess the ingredients, wondering what the next course will be (you receive the menu at the end) and it was a very well orchestrated dinner. The service of all staff and chefs were amazing, paying attention to all the little details. Definitely deserving of its Michelin star. Highly recommended. Price is definitely on the high end but you definitely will not be disappointed.

Very amazing food and well service. The food is full of creative and detailed. Also they may give you a surprise in last dishes. The service is very good, too. I hope I can enjoy the new menu next time

That menue is so well balanced. Its a concept and you feel and taste it. Whole afternoon was fun with the stuff, enjoyment with the wine and an explosion of taste with the food! The michelin star is very well deserved. Hope you'll get the 2. One soon. We'll be back from germany to proof it 😀

So amazing. Needless to say, you do expect the best of the best in restaurants like this, but Fierro and it’s amazing team elevate this to the next level. Every dish carefully and deliciously curated didn’t disappoint at any step, my favourites were the oyster salad, beef and duck dishes. The maridaje was glorious, and we are already planing to come back only to try the without alcohol one that they make themselves. Very cozy and intimate as there are only four table, and the service run smooth, friendly and warm overall. Still waiting for that bread to go tho(joke, because you will love the bread!)

Recently had an exceptional fine dining experience at Fierro Valencia, where every aspect, from the impeccable service (lovely staff!) to the exquisite dishes, truly showcased why Michelin star is undoubtedly well-deserved!

Probably the best restaurant we’ve ever visited. Service was friendly and efficient. Every single course on the tasting menu was innovative, interesting and tasted fantastic. Great selection of wines at accessible prices. Fairly priced given the quality of the food and service. Highly recommended.

Amazing place with a great concept of their tasting menu. The waitresses are not "boring" you with a 5 minute monologue before every course with every single ingredient but rather let you guess what's in it and then explain later after you have finished it. We've had a very smooth relaxing evening here and enjoyed the time and food a lot. Incredible staff who managed to create a friendly atmosphere. Will definitely come again when i am in Valencia.

Fierro has been our first experience in a 1 Michelin star restaurant. From the moment we sat on our table until we left, we felt taken care of as we never felt before in a restaurant. The place has around 5 tables in total, which give you a hint of how special it is. Carito and German, the chefs and owners of Fierro greeted each table personally and together with their team (7 more persons), they made us travel through our palate. Each dish has been specially crafted with a level of detail I have never experienced before. Each ingredient thought, specially chosen, support the experience the chefs want you to feel with each bite. The combination of each dish with the carefully selected wines by the very knowledgeable sommelier Eva Pizarro, resulted in an exceptional combination difficult to match. She was able to explain us why this wine was chosen for each dish, with a light background of it which made it very interesting if you like wine as we do. The setup of the restaurant is very comfortable, with almost a clear view to the kitchen from any table, where you see the magic happening as each course is carefully crafted with a level of detail as a Swiss watch is produced. My wife doesn’t eat a lot of things, so they adapted the menu very carefully to ensure she would also have an amazing experience as the rest of us. This shows caring and a high focus in ensuring every person at the table can enjoy the night equally. For anyone worried about if the food is enough, there are so many dishes that you will feel very satisfied at the end of the 3 hours courses experience. You will feel the rejoice of enjoying so many different flavors in one special night, that you won’t believe it. I would highly recommend the Fierro experience to anyone wanting to have a fine dinning experience in Valencia. For us, it has been the best dinning experience we’ve ever had so far.
