The Riga Motor Museum is a large museum with a collection of antique cars. It is located close to the old town in Riga, Latvia and is popular with car buffs. The museum has a wide range of cars from the XIX century to the end of the XX century, as well as exhibits on automotive history and how it has changed the world.
Great musuem, third visit in 15 Years and changes every time. This time loved the special Italian Design exhibition downstairs, this is only here temporary so see it soon!

Extremely impressed from the quality of this museum. It's small but it is really good. All the exhibits are really well maintained and all the signs are really informative. It has nothing less than a similar museum in Europe and also it gives the opportunity to see and examine cars and motorcycles from the USSR era. Absolutely worth a visit besides the trip you have to do from the citycentre. Any person can find this place interesting, not only the petrolheads.
Nikos Gkekas — Google review
Great place to learn about histroy of cars, and see some beautiful cars. Also has an option to test your driving skills in a simulator, for a grat price, 10min 3eur or 20min 6eur. Theres also free parking so you dont have to strees about that
Rolands Juhansons — Google review
Amazing museum for entire family. Obvious choice for car enthusiasts, but also for people interested in art - the display demonstrates cars at their most beautiful sides and angles - and for those interested in history - car production and development is closely connected with the 19th and 20th century history. Museum is modern, nice displays and accompanying texts. There is a restaurant / pub and some attractions for smaller kids.
Kaupo Lepasepp — Google review
Best motor museum! Large colection of 'old but gold' pieces in a very structured, and interactive way. If you have kids don't hesitate to bring them over as there is a lot of 'touchy touchy' educational and fun stuff for them to engage with! Bonus, a small collection of all phones, radios and gramophones for the nostalgics
Andreea — Google review
Really nice place to visit when in Riga, good representation of old cars with interactive displays in English, you can learn about the history of famous car manufacturers.
Anda Ionescu — Google review
What a gem! Reminds me a little of a ships museum in Tallin - a great interactive exhibition, beautifully designed and with a lot of fun and interesting facts in multiple languages (some even in Lithuanian), photo, video footage etc. Unfortunately some elements were out of order at the time, but it did not ruin the experience. Go there and see for yourself! Definitely worth 10 Eur
Milda Kiau?ait? — Google review
Razor motor museum is about 6 km from the center and 10€ is a single person entry fee. The great collection of vintage vehicles.
Ma Navid — Google review
Interesting interactive museum! This place is really worth to visit with family or friends. A lot of beautiful old cars. Interactive stations with information. Really suggest to visit.

Hello, I will give you my French point of view on the motor museum in RIGA. First of all, I really liked this museum. Why is that? The light, the light in this museum is really good. The vehicles are really well exhibited. There is not a lot of information and we are not lost is this museum. We can see how the engine works with the starting handle. There are sovietic car, old car, importante car in the history. Do not hesitate, you will like this museum. The museum is not really big. You need 3 hours max to visit it but 2 hours will be really ok imo.
Thibaut Lambert — Google review
We went there with my family as we only have seen this museum before the renovation and it was absolutely worth a visit. So many amazing old cars to see, you can learn interesting facts with interactive screens, listen to different stories, 3 floors to explore and we got luck as it was pretty quiet before groups of people start to come in. There is lots of fun staff for kids to do too. There are lockers where you can put €1 and lock it, there is also toilets next to that, a cafe place just next to the entrance. We paid each €10 adults, and €5 for pensioner and same for disabled person.
Indy Ro — Google review
Amazing and interesting museum even if you are not a huge car fan. Some interactive stuff is also available.
Niki — Google review
Great museum for those interested in old cars, beautifully restored vehicles and fun to go with children. I used to go there before museum was renovated when I was a child but the new building is really good and easy to navigate around. There’s interactive area for little kids as well. Nice display of old radios too! Thank you for preserving the history and not destroying it.

This is “must see” place in Riga. Perfect museum with lot of wonderfull cars and with lot of information. Totally recomended
kafi_no — Google review
3 floors full of cars and bikes that carry through the history of motor vehicles. Recommend visiting when going to Riga. The cost of an adult ticket is 10 euro (June 2023).
Roman Horilyi — Google review
Great place to know more about motors and to check out beautiful cars. Maybe museum may consider adults only days through the month, because it is hard to read screens when kids are playing with them.
Marius Rimkus — Google review
Absolutely brilliant! European level museum and 100% must visit. Best museum in Latvia for sure.
Konstantin Bondarev — Google review
Great museum for whole family. The museum has 2 layers, and both are full of antique vehicles, but not just for presentation, but each one has its own story written or presented by video and audio. There some interactive objects that kids can touch. When family visits, kids are for free. Great museum, worth visiting, even though it’s far away from the center of Riga.
Maria Adamsky — Google review
Very interesting museum concept, lots of interactive items, fun stuff for children, interesting exibitions, few interesting rare cars to check. More Latvian/Soviet Union cars to see there
Cyborg GB — Google review
Interactive displays and exhibits, with some interesting facts sprinkled in. Detailed stories of automotive companies that I, as a big automotive enthusiast, had never heard of. For example, there is an explanation of why the audi logo is four circles connected together. The museum is quite modern from a technological side. I think you can easily spend over 2 hours. I highly recommend it. Pedro would have loved this place. I'm sorry you couldn't be here with me.
Joseph Irent — Google review
Not worth the 10euro ticket per person. The staff doesn’t bother to smile even if I said hello first she pretended to not hear me and then the second time I said hello, she looked at me and with irritating look ask what I need. Not a good experience here.
Ohayō Phil — Google review
Amazing how it looks after renovation. European level museum. Not big but interactive, there are nice activities for kids. Very nice layout and lighting. Must visit.
Kęstutis Mažeika — Google review
Nice and informative museum. The ticket is 10 Euros for adult. We spent approximately 1 hr there, it was enough. Those cars had a wow factor for me, really worth to see it, pictures do not provide the luxurious feeling of the beauty and concepts. I would love to score it as 5 stars but Ukrainian propaganda was everywhere. Every single car from Soviet Union time had a sticker, one car even had Ukraine flag. Even in the coffee shop I spotted Ukraine sticker on the plant pot !Why? Leave politics out of transport museum and coffee shop. It doesn’t make any sense.. Also, we had coffee latte there. I wouldn’t recommend- tasteless, watery, barely warm. Girl at the reception was lovely, spoke good English and explained us everything.
Jelena — Google review
Incredible selection of vehicles and some of the most informative information points I have seen in any motor museum. For those looking for supercars like Ferraris, Porsches and Bugattis etc you'll not find much (though the Porsche Museum at Stuttgart had an exhibition on loan when I visited) But what you will find is a varied and rare collection that is not only interesting, but also beautifully presented. The selection of Soviet era vehicles is essential to the history of the country and is a must see.

The Jugendstil architecture in Riga is a remarkable example of Art Nouveau design. A museum near the Alberta iela explains why there are so many buildings of this style in the city. Each building is distinct, with intricate details that showcase exceptional craftsmanship. The area has excellent symmetry and design, and other grand buildings can be found nearby. Elizabetes street and the surrounding areas offer visitors a unique architectural experience that they won't regret spending time exploring.
Architecture in this area is so unique! Spend some time to see it you won't be disappointed.... Elizabetes street and all tiny streets around...

Visites the street late morning, the buildings are very interesting examples of art Nouveau. Nice walk in a quite street. Went under the week (a Monday) and it was not very crowded. I didn't access any of the building, thus, I cannot comment about this point.

Riga's Jugendstil is an amazing experience of all that is best in Art Nouveau architecture.. The fantastic museum very close to Alberta iela gives details of why Riga so many Jugendstil buildings were built. The buildings are all different and the details on them are just superb.

Museums
The Zanis Lipke Memorial Museum is a museum in Riga, Latvia commemorating the bravery of dock worker and Holocaust survivor Zanis Lipke who saved around 50 Jews from the Nazis by hiding them in a bunker under a shed. This shelter was never found by the German police and Lipke was never caught, leading to his anonymity. A memorial was built next to his house in 2012.
Great museum, very interesting story and what humans can do for each other
Paul Livsey — Google review
Very interesting museum about a family that helped Jewish people escape the Holocaust, as well as dissidents during Nazi and Soviet regimes. The architecture is very interesting, showcasing several themes in the story, and the entrance and audioguide are free. Staff was amazing. Since Latvia became known as a collaborator to the Nazi regime, this museum was built trying to show the other side of the story, that of resistance and solidarity. Good place to go while in Riga.
Julia Boechat — Google review
Worthwhile to take time to visit an out of the way place with a significant impact. Not flashy, across the River in a quiet neighborhood, but this is where courage lived out the call to lay down your life for others. Take time to step away from the popular and easily located spots in Riga and visit this side street across the River.
Clark L — Google review
Its one of the best museums in Riga. Really glad i went there. A memorial for a family that helped others in need by risking their own lifes. The concept, architecture and also the receiption of history are quite modern. Free of admission, but i hope people donate enough so they can continue their great work.

Concentrated and rich experience. Meaningful story about individual courage of Žanis Lipke and history of jewish people in Latvia. Must visit when in Riga.

We decided to take some hire bikes over to visit this museum which made it is fairly quick journey from the old town. The museum is free so a good choice if you are on a budget - and you can make an optional donation. The exhibition is well thought out and very creatively put together. The story is also very interesting and tells an fairly unknown side. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. Overall an impressive museum/memorial. Worth a visit.

The notable street Alberta iela in Riga is a beautiful and picturesque avenue lined with Art Nouveau buildings. Restaurant
The restaurant Entresol in Latvia is renowned for its talented head chef, Raimonds Zommers, who offers a menu that reflects Latvian values. Apart from their classic meat, fish, and vegetable dishes, the chef suggests trying their unique starters called knapas. These small appetizers are designed to provide a variety of hot and cold, mild and spicy flavors in one visit.
We had a great time here. We tried all tapas, our favourites were ceviche and tuna ones. Service was gentle and quick. Music was good and decoration a bit too much but still decent. Price for value was okay, every 3 tapas you pay 13 euros.
Andres Perez — Google review
A pleasant 2.5h dinner, with interesting flavors and high quality ingredients. Dishes were prepared w love and care. Great service as well! You would have to make reservations before going. No menu can be chosen but the five courses for 45e per pax
jenell — Google review
Entresol is totally worth it! 5 courses for 55 euros, all of which were above average, along with a couple of standouts. If Michelin came to Riga, Entresol would absolutely have a shot at a star. Not everything might look super polished/refined, but the flavor of the dishes makes up for that (and flavor is what ultimately matters). Also big points for super kind/friendly service. Definitely worth it for a night out without overly breaking the bank.
Aramis Penland — Google review
The best restaurant visited at Riga. The atmosphere and dishes makes you remind Dr Zhivago. A trip of senses. Must start with the 3 Knappas, Letonian tapas, and the deer meat melts with a slightly aroma of truffle sauce. Desserts leave that final taste. An unforgettable experience for gourmands. At the edge of the unreal. Chapeau! To the Chef, and to all team.
promoninza ninza — Google review

Stop stop, at Entresol. It was an amazing experince. A restaurant that is proud of the Latvian food (local and in sesaon) and taken to a High level. The bread is so delicius..👍👍 Did not know we were fond of carawayseed in bread. Thank you for your time to talk and to make explain by serving a very good, delicate, beautiful and tasty meal in a good atmosphere and teaching us to try Vermouth. 😃😃

Had some lovely food here, well worth the price. Decor pleasant and staff friendly. If you're in a rush, I would perhaps go elsewhere. It is a long meal, even if it is enjoyable.

We wanted a good fine dining experience on our first night in Riga. We got exactly that! Our waiter Caspers (hoping it's spelled that way🫣) was very knowledgeable and kind. His wine pairing was just spot on. Dishes were not only tasteful but amazing looking as well. For dessert we got an extra treat with pairing with three different kind of Baltic liquor. Perfect ending to a great night We had to walk a little from the center of the center but that was totally worth it! Thank you so much 💚

Arrived at 20:30 in a party of 11 people. Reservation was lost, but fantastic servicemindedness from the server solved the situation quickly. We were treated to amazing food from only 2 persons in the kitche. The Pikeperch was great. Good selection of wines to go with the 5 course dinner. Highly recommended.

Everything from service to the food itself was brilliant and exceeded our expectations. We always come for the food, but come back again for the atmosphere. We loved the attention, extra care and that our 7yo son enjoyed the dinner as much as we did. Thank you and all the best!

MsLieniitexs — Google review
Totally ok food, great service but lacks that final piece of the puzzle to get there. All dishes looked good but not everything tasted that terrific. We had a 5-course tasting meny with a wine pairing which should come in at approximately €70 per person. We ended up with a tab that said over €110 per person not having taken into account some other charges, including their self-charged "tip" and the €60 they charged us for water. I wouldn't recommend this place for its tasting menu, that is for sure.

Complementing their sophisticated menu is an extensive cocktail selection, accompanied by a relaxed lounge-style ambiance and spacious outdoor terrace.

Wow wow wow. This restaurant sits atop the Kempinski Hotel in Riga. We visited in the evening so no view as such but during the day I’m sure the vista would be marvellous. So to the food. It was extremely good. Some of the freshest juiciest oysters I’ve ever eaten. Sweet succulent spider crab. The lobster tail was cooked to perfection. The accompanying bisque balanced yet punchy. Service was genuinely warm and welcoming. Price point pretty reasonable. By no means cheap even by western standards but it was worth every Euro.

Overall very good place, ofcourse a pot of tea aint 7€ worth, but bcos of the place and athmosphere worth to go. I was very happy with waiters/service and with most of the food as well, especially berry sorbert, which came as complement. To be honest it was even 3x times better than desert :) rec :)

The main dish – Teriyaki chicken – was terribly dry. I personally left it all. Honestly – a shame for this level restaurant. The starter and the dessert were nice. Our waiter also forgot to include the service fee and came with additional ticket after all was paid and our group was leaving. We were a group of 14 – no one are willing to come back ever 😔

We decided to come here to eat for our last night in Riga and my oh my, we were not disappointed. First impressions is it’s a smart modern space with wonderful panoramic views of the city. The food and service here was outstandingly excellent, truly excellent. As a vegetarian (and having eaten in many lovely places with my meat eater husband in our time in Latvia) it seems it’s always a choice of Burrata and Risottos for me when we go out and as lovely as it is you can only have so much of the two. The wonderful chef here agreed to make me the same as my husband was having, the Truffle Burger (vegetarian patty) homemade Brioche, caramelised onions, Truffle Brie cheese, Truffle, homemade fries and Siracha mayo. It was divine and vegetarian! I did say I could’ve “kissed the chef.” 😀 it was a wonderful evening, with wonderful wine, cocktails and dessert. The staff are fantastically professional at what they do. Definitely the best choice for our last night in Latvia. Thank you. 🙏

Great restaurant in the heart of Riga! Next to the Opera, nice view. located in grand Kempinski hotel. Dare to try interesting twists: Sparkling Cucumber Soup with Sheep Yogurt Ice Cream and Chia Caviar and Mint with drops of chilly - delicious and balanced creamy soup; "Bonfire" - Sturgeon with Yucca Root and variety of Mushrooms, Tomato Beure blanc and Sorrel ... well balanced, juicy fillet with unusual yuca root well prepared! Service great! Final score: Good stuff!

Elegant place, exceptional service and fresh and tasty meal. Price level is high, but you get what you pay for. Whether this is truffle buckwheat risotto or fish mosaic - I’m always getting experience of enjoyable time, elegant Ambiente and unique tastes. The only negative remark I could make refers to the kids Menu. We ordered noodle chicken soup for our 3years old daughter. The meal come nicely served but all ingredients in the soup was shredded. As far as my experience shows kids at that age do not eat what they don’t understand and can’t differentiate one ingredient from another. If these are noodles- that should be visibly noodles (better spaghetti). If this is a carrot - that should be a defined peace of carrot, so that the child can recognize vegetable in it. All in all, I recommend Stage 22!

Riga Central Market is an expansive indoor/outdoor market renowned as Europe's largest food market. Its stalls offer a diverse range of produce, including fruits, vegetables, cheese, meats, and prepared dishes. Located near the old town and featuring delectable yet affordable eats, it boasts impressive aesthetics. The market consists of five vast halls originally designed for wartime zeppelins. One hall exclusively caters to street food and pop-up stalls while others focus on fresh foods for purchase.
A must see in Riga, one of the best markets we’ve ever been to. So many interesting thing that you can buy! So many different fermented veggies, smoked fish, cheeses and beautiful flowers. We went early on a Saturday morning, it was very lively. We had different savory and sweet pastries from a couple of bakeries for breakfast.
Dominika Noskov? — Google review
I wonder if covid has taken its toll on the market. Last time I was here it was bustling with life and it was difficult to move around, just as a market should be. Now it was a lot of closed stalls and very few vendors. You can still get good deals on fish, meat and vegetables, but the vendors are not interested in haggling and making your day anymore… hope they soon get back to how it used to be.

Originally used as military airship hangars and later transformed into an architecturally imposing food pavilions. Vibrant atmosphere. Best place to get closer to Latvian culture and traditions in the Central Market. Here, you can see and taste the typical and unique products. Fresh and natural products from Latvian farms and assortments of Latvian food. You can also find a wide range of souvenirs.

I absolutely love visiting city markets. This one was one of the best I have ever been to. The food area was amazing. There were plenty of options to choose from, all of them looked extremely delicious. If you also enjoy to dive into a market, plan yourself a couple of hours. There were russian sweets stand, freshly made sweets, handcrafted items, clothes, cheese and milk products section, fish section and the food court. Super cool place, I highly recommend visiting it.

As tourists, we really enjoyed our market experience. It had a local flair and a variety of food and goods. We wandered for over an hour before heading back to our hotel with lunch in hand.

Great place to while away a couple of hours. Said to be the biggest indoor market in Europe. Plenty of stalls from flowers to meat and fish. Not as many stalls selling cooked food to eat now but there were a few. Frequented by many locals. Housed inside and outside 5 old zeppelin hangers.
Paul Meagher — Google review
Huge market with 3 hangars and stalls all around. You will buy everything. Fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese, halva, hundreds of types of fish, clothes, souvenirs. You will meet people from all over the world there. From 7am to 6pm the market is full of people. The prices are very good.
Joanna P — Google review
The area is worth visiting at least once. But I probably will not come back again for seconds. Separated inside and between 4-5 warehouse type buildings with themes on each: meats, fish, vegetables are outside, a building just for textile, clothing and dried goods among others. If you are not grocery shopping. It's best to skip to the textile/dry goods area. Going early in the morning also gives it a different vibe as that is when older Latvian home makers come to do their daily shopping.

My visit to Riga Central Market was an incredible sensory experience. As I approached the market, the vibrant colors and bustling atmosphere immediately drew me in. Housed in impressive old Zeppelin hangars, the market's architecture itself was a sight to behold. The market's sheer size and variety of offerings left me amazed. Each hangar was dedicated to different types of products, ranging from fresh produce and meats to dairy products, fish, and a wide array of local and international delicacies. Exploring the market, I was greeted with the delightful aroma of freshly baked goods and savory street food. I couldn't resist trying some traditional Latvian treats, and they did not disappoint – the flavors were both unique and delicious. The locals' warm and friendly nature added to the charm of the market. I had several pleasant interactions with vendors who were eager to share stories about their products and offer recommendations. I found the prices at Riga Central Market to be reasonable, especially considering the quality and variety of products available. It was a perfect place to shop for fresh ingredients and unique souvenirs. The market's cultural significance was evident in the diverse array of local products, showcasing Latvia's culinary heritage and traditions. It provided an excellent opportunity to immerse myself in the local culture and connect with the city's culinary roots. As I left Riga Central Market, I felt like I had experienced a true slice of Latvian life. It was a memorable and enriching experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Riga. The market's lively ambiance, delicious offerings, and friendly atmosphere truly made it a must-visit destination.

One of the best European markets I've been too! Fresh produce if all kids including colourful vegetables, smokey meats, and tasty cheeses. And a lot of vendors to sit and eat good local food and drink at. I bought some amazing Amber earrings that were locally produced here from a lady that taught us all about the history. If you are feeling the cold, it's a great place to get an additional jacket too! Don't miss it!

Lots of local and fresh yummy produce, especially cheese, smoked fish and pastries. I would welcome more eateries around the market though. Bought 3 pair of hand made wool socks on the stand outside the main market, highly recommend- to support local pensioners and complement their income -who produce superb craftsmanship.

Outstanding farmers market! Prices are amazingly affordable at this quality level. Huge market similar to the Prevoz market in Odessa, Ukraine but much cleaner. The entire city of Riga is AMAZINGLY clean. Great vendors at this market. I go every week here to stock up on Kraut, Salami, cured meat, cherries and wow worthy strawberries.

Riga Central Market: A Vibrant Shopping Experience When visiting Riga, Latvia, one cannot miss the vibrant and bustling Riga Central Market. Located in the heart of the city, this historic market is a must-visit destination for tourists seeking an authentic shopping experience. Spread over multiple pavilions housed in former Zeppelin hangars, the Riga Central Market is one of Europe's largest and most diverse markets. As I stepped inside, I was immediately captivated by the lively atmosphere and the array of sights, sounds, and aromas. The market offers a treasure trove of fresh produce, local delicacies, and unique crafts. Exploring the market, I found myself immersed in a sensory delight. From the colorful stacks of seasonal fruits and vegetables to the fragrant herbs and spices, the market offers a feast for the senses. I couldn't resist sampling some traditional Latvian treats like smoked fish, hearty rye bread, and the famous Latvian honey. Apart from the culinary delights, the market also showcases a wide range of local crafts and artisanal products. I discovered beautifully crafted ceramics, handmade textiles, and intricate woodwork, all proudly displaying Latvia's rich cultural heritage. The market is not just a place to shop; it's an opportunity to engage with the local community. The friendly vendors were eager to share their knowledge and stories, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the experience. In conclusion, the Riga Central Market is a vibrant hub of activity, offering a captivating blend of flavors, scents, and cultural experiences. Whether you're a food enthusiast, a souvenir hunter, or simply curious about the local culture, this bustling market is a must-visit destination that will leave you with a lasting impression of Riga.

The market so big and you can basically get all the ingredients you need. They have wide range of products to choose from dried goods, fish, meats, chicken, cheese and many more. There are also several restaurant inside the market but most of the restaurant open from 10am. Although there are few that are open early for breakfast. You can also buy clothes ans bags in the market. The market is clean and we enjoyed walking around there.

Beautiful market at the center. There are many fruits and vegetables. You can also buy some souvenirs. If you love to see shops, this place is a must-visit. Nothing fancy but you can experience how local people do the everyday shopping and you can also eat in some restaurants there.

Pretty massive market with great variety of farmers produce, fresh, smoked and dried fish all looking fresh. Also many fresh vegetables nuts and seeds and pickled goods of all types including kimchi. I enjoyed it so much I went twice in a 5 day stay in Riga. I was naturally drawn to hall 3 with many food and drinks k options and very impressed with Labietis craft beers. Also savoured the Borscht soup, fried chicken mushroom and cheese dumplings and finished with amazing apple and cinnamon dumplings / pelmeni . Don't miss it

Beautiful market with lot of nice fresh products. This is very unique place and I think is hard to find something similar in Europe. It is worth to visit

Must haves at the time of visiting Riga, as it's the largest closed market in Europe. They offer a bunch of products from home supplies to vegetables and meat. Also there is a supermarket inside the same building. Moreover, there is space to eat inside the market. I really recommend the craft beer and also the pastries. The best part as a tourist is the fish market as the fish is not exactly fresh, but smoked or marinated.

Yeah this place is bursting with activity and is fizzing out of control. So much to see, bustling with traders, conversations, arguments, hangling and jaggerling. Each zeppelin has a different category of products, split between meat, veg, fish and bars/food. Nice bar called Liebitis? which did decent Latvian ales

That's the Key destination point in Latvia or better saying in entire Baltics States if you want to eat with your eyes and being amazed by the variety of food both végétales, fishes any sort, cheese any type your imagination Can create and all sorts or products starting from Caucasian région until Central Europe. You may be pour, you may be rich - any wallet will find your receipt for your financial possibilités. I really recommend that place, and I assure you - you will be returning there frequently when only you could.

Really enjoyable visit to Riga Market. Lots of food and drinks on offer. Most vendors speak english and there are ATMs nearby. Shops mostly only take cash. I recommend going early and taking your time.

This market is a lot bigger than I thought. I was worried that this place could be very touristic, but there were also a lot of locals shopping and doing their groceries. Lots of smoked fish and pickles, and prices are not necessarily cheap, so you have got to make your own judgement and take precautions. For examples, the price of blueberries were shown 1.90 euros, which I thought was too cheap to be true, but when you look at it carefully, it is per 100 grams. Obviously, one packet of blueberries will weight a few grams, so they are not cheap. Nevertheless, you will find a variety of seafood and products, and you can easily spend an hour or two here. A must visit place in Riga.

Amazing place to visit..... Every type of meat, fish, fruit and vegetables, cheeses etc, with 3000 stands, under the rooves of former German Zepplin hangars. Cheaper than the old town too.

It's a very nice and spacious market. The indoor has many halls that are ex Zeppelin hangars each jangar has specific items for sale e.g. fruits, fish, meat, bakeries, food court, ... Some of the halls are being restored and look more modern and trendy but others still have the eastern markets vibe, which I find very interesting and it might be soon disappearing after a full modernisation of the market place. Prices are variable but have increased a lot in the past years as it's becoming more and more fancy place rather than a real market. Also there amount of tourists is steadily increasing. There's also an outside open market where you can mostly find fruits and veggies but it's probably there where your can find some corners wish still keep the old vibe. It's very lively and in general a nice place to visit when in Riga.

Garage wine bar has a stylish, artistic and unique atmosphere which is perfect for enjoying an exclusive selection of wines. The short menu includes everything from tuna to salads, making it a great place for all sorts of tastes. Prices are reasonable and the view outside the windows is excellent. Strongly recommended!
Riga’s Restaurant Week menu is absolutely spectacular! True gastronomical adventure 🤍🪽✨

Very disappointing beef main - too salty, very overcooked (wasn't even asked whether I wanted it medium or something else). Chef was supposedly having a bad day (as I was informed by the staff), but then they probably shouldn't be allowed to produce these atrocities. White wine was also quite warm when served.

I had a fantastic experience at this fancy restaurant. The service and food were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, especially the main course with its delicious special lentil and sweet potatoes sauce

Tasty tapas. Didn't bother with the mains, instead had a few of the tapas options. The scallops, mini tapas plate, and the ostrich carpaccio with the still warm bread was delicious.

Very tasty food. Tried tulips and other vegetarian options during Rīga restaurant week. Portions are very small as expected in most restaurants, but the taste of the food was excellent. And dishes were delivered very fast. View outside the windows is also nice.

We had our dinner tonight and it was a bit disappointing. The food was OK, but honestly quite bland and overpriced. Portions tiny, the mains looked like entrees. It would have been ok if the food was fancy but it wasn't. Our waitress was not very welcoming and just walked off when we asked for a bill. It's a shame because the place itself is gorgeous, but we will not be back in a hurry.

We had a light lunch with tapas. Unique atmosphere, lovely location, professional staff. Tapas were good but they can be improved. The wine was just perfect. Recommended.

The place is mainly for vine and konjak lovers however, they found beer for us as well. Short menu but everything is tasty even tuna (that was the best good tuna I've tried in Riga). Prices are reasonable and the view outside the windows is excellent. Strongly recommended!

I come back to Rīga once a year and Garage vine bar and restaurant is always on my list and it never disappoints. Their beef tartare is exceptional and the beet root cream soup is something I will crave forever. Excellent atmosphere, service and location. Treat yourself!

Restaurant Domini Canes is a highly-rated dining establishment in Riga, known for its exceptional food, friendly staff, and ideal location near Saint Peters Church. It consistently ranks among the top five restaurants in the city. This restaurant not only offers delicious Latvian cuisine but also showcases influences from London, Tokyo, and Paris.
The location is very good, just behind the Petrikirche. It's cozy inside. Make sure to get a reservation if you wanna come here for dinner. The food was amazing. I had the tomato soup as a starter, as main I had the sea trout in teriyaki glaze and as dessert the sea buckthorn panna cotta. Every single dish was a dream. The food melted in my mouth. The prices were also reasonable in my opinion and every Euro was worth it. If you are in Riga definitely go to this restaurant. The staff was also very nice.

A cozy small restaurant with a rich food. The variety of dishes are quite good. The duck leg and school fondant were perfect ! The only thing what can disturb is that as restaurant is small 2 person tables are quite near one to another, so you will here conversations of other guests :)

Perfect place for a good dinner. The staff is very professional and even a gluten free diet was not a problem. The restaurant had a fancy but relaxed atmosphere and the food was delicious. The prices were maybe a little bit more expensive but it was worth it.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and great food. The staff is very nice and you will feel very welcome there. The menu is compact, but offers enough diversity for each guest. This restaurant should definitely be on your list if you plan to enjoy a lovely meal in the city centre of Riga. Make sure to reserve a table if you plan to visit on the weekend!

We had a great dinner here. The starters of Camembert was excellent. The carpaccio was soft and moist. Inspired. I did the pork which fell apart on the bone. My wife’s steak was also tender and cooked medium rare as requested. Attentive friendly staff. You cannot go wrong coming here.

Consistently good food and service. We have been coming for years. It’s one reliable place in the Old Town which we know always meets the expectations. The place is relatively small and gets busy at peak times so I’d recommend booking in advance. Last time we went for lunch a couple weeks ago and had the trout salad, the salmon ( or trout?) tartar, the venison burger, the sturgeon fillet, and the confit duck. The food was great, the service was very friendly. We also like the setting and simple yet lovely interior of this restaurant.

Amazing dinner! We got super lucky and got a table on a Saturday night and the food was delicious and staff were super nice too! The prawns were amazing and the trout was lovely. Highly recommend.

A very enjoyable, delicious meal with excellent service. I ordered the tiger prawns for the starter, and the roast duck for the entre. Both were very well prepared and seasoned. The presentation was very appealing, but that leads to the few negatives that I have, regarding my visit here. I'm not a fan of overly garnished plates. Especially if the garnish is not edible. Not to say that the assortment of semi exotic berries (goose berries, ground cherries, etc) weren't edible, but they definitely did not need to be on every plate. All-in-all, I highly recommend this restaurant. I'll like patronize it again before I leave Riga.

What a delightful place and what excellent and varied food! We especially appreciated the amazing vegetarian options. The baked avocado with Camembert was a visual and flavor stunner. Beautiful location and perfect service, too.

We decided to pop in while wondering around. Not disappointed. All dishes tasted good, adequate prices, nice portions (we didn't have space for dessert), beautifully served. Waitress recommended for me (vegetarian) baked avocado: de - li - scious 😋 (not obvious combinations, lovely surprise). If they will have more veggie options we would visit more often 🙃

Lovely little restaurant in the heart of Riga old town, decorated beautifully for Christmas. We were lucky to get a table as we arrived early - despite being a Monday in December all the tables were reserved for later in the evening. Mains were very nice and there were a few vegetarian options to chose from, which was great as we had struggled with finding a place that would suit both meat-eaters and veggies. I just had the tomato and onion soup and a side, but it was lovely, while my friend said the duck was amazing! Sadly we were too full for desert after.

Wonderful cozy elegant atmosphere, super friendly staff, unique flavours. They were also very knowledgeable about gluten, and said they could make almost anything on the menu gluten free.

A nice restaurant in a very convenient area very close to the most popular sights in Latvia! It is expensive but the food was great! We had tomato soup, burger and duck! Especially the duck was really amazing! They also have a nice selection of wines!

Fantastic 1st lunch in Latvia. Started with a couple of draft beers while trying to choose from the imaginative menu. Everything, from our avocado with berries & camembert starters to my perch with pea puree & walnuts and his melt in your mouth pork dish with sweet potato was 5* excellent. Outstanding flavors perfectly prepared. Bravo!

I chose this restaurant specially for my boyfriends birthday and we were not disappointed. Menu has nice selection of seafood options and also meat and other things. Prices are reasonable and atmosphere is cozy and fancy at the same time. Dishes were great - for mains we ordered venison burger and teriyaki salmon which were very nice. I have never had so good salmon before for such reasonable price. I recommend booking the table before - we went on Monday evening and it was still fully booked. Service was bit poor - they were fast but waitresses seemed to be in a rush all the time and no one made sure how we feel or do we like the food or if we wanted anything more to drink. Also she forgot to bring butter with the bread. Overall experience was nice and can totally recommend.

Fine dining in an intimate atmosphere. This place is definitely something I’d like to call the city’s “hidden gem”! ❤️ This was my second visit to this restaurant and yet again, it did not disappoint, on the contrary. This has to be one of my all time favourite places in Riga as everything from atmosphere and service to food is nothing short of incredible! 😍 This time we ordered beef carpaccio and the butter fried scallops which just melted in the mouth! For the mains we had the beef steak and pan fried pikepearch fillet, both of which were delicious and I was particularly happy with it my steak as it was one of those evenings where the body had a craving for meat and this hit the spot! Overall I highly recommend to visit this place! But do book in advance as you might not be able to get a table! ;)
