French Riviera - Cote d'Azur

The French Riviera (or Côte d'Azur) is the Mediterranean coast of southeastern France. It includes famously glamorous beach resorts such as Saint-Tropez and Cannes, and the independent microstate of Monaco. A health retreat in the 18th century, the area later attracted aristocrats, artists and the 1960s "jet set." Today it’s an established holiday destination, with paths connecting many coastal villages and towns.

The Promenade des Anglais is a palm-lined street that features a bike path and is emblematic of Nice, the beautiful French city on the Mediterranean Sea. It's one of the most famous seaside promenades in the world, attracting tourists from all over who come to sample the local cuisine, relax on the beachfront or take in some of the city's famed sights.
It’s a nice walk along the promenade by the seaside. If the weather is good, it’s really worth the time to stroll along here and enjoy the coastline of Nice.

Great place to walk/relax/promenade. Awesome atmosphere.
Maksym Popov — Google review
It is about 7km of magic. Whenever I am Nice I have to walk this walk where I get to enjoy the Mediterranean sea, different people walking long locals, and visitors. Different generations from all walks of life, it feels like a small world. I am glad that the city of Nice didn't allow anything to be built between the beach and the promenade. Thank you Nice for having this spectacular space that can make you go on a journey.

Romantic stretch of 7 km to walk and soak some Mediterranean vibe. Best thing to do in Nice.

The promenade is amazing best thing in Nice. it has restaurants, museums, shops all on it or more close by. Very busy area but at the same time relaxing.

Wonderful walking place, all the lenght of Nice. If you need to recharge your batteries, this is the right place to do it. It goes from the airport, all the way to the city center and the port of Nice. Nice view of it from Colinne du Chateau.

The Promenade des Anglais in Nice is an iconic destination that truly lives up to its reputation. This famed promenade stretches along the Mediterranean coast, offering spectacular views of the azure sea on one side and the charming cityscape of Nice on the other. It’s a perfect blend of natural beauty and urban elegance. What I loved most about the promenade was its vibrant atmosphere. It’s a bustling hub where both locals and tourists come together, whether it’s for leisurely walks, jogging, or simply sitting on one of the many blue chairs lining the walkway, soaking in the sun and sea breeze. The length of the promenade provides ample space for everyone, ensuring a relaxed experience despite its popularity. Along the way, there are numerous cafes and restaurants where you can indulge in some local cuisine or enjoy a refreshing drink. The beachfront is easily accessible, inviting you for a swim or a sunbath. The palm trees and the well-maintained surroundings add to the charm of the place. The Promenade des Anglais is not just a place to visit; it’s an experience to immerse yourself in the essence of Nice. Whether you’re looking for a place to exercise, relax, or simply enjoy stunning views, this promenade is a must-visit. It embodies the spirit of the French Riviera and is an integral part of the Nice experience.

This is my everyday stroll. Beautiful, clean, and relaxing, with no one hassling you; you can just stroll peacefully. I would recommend going to Castle Hill too, on the mountain; the view is incredible. It’s a must-see while in Nice. There are different options if you’re not capable of taking the stairs. There is parking on top, and Uber, taxi, or a tram tour are available.

Parc du Mont Boron is an nature park located in the eastern part of Nice, featuring a variety of trails for all levels of fitness. The views are breathtaking, and the park is perfect for a relaxing day out.
You can drive right up to the Fort, a few parking places if you are lucky. All free, you can only look around the outside. Short walk will get you views of Nice through the trees, arrive just before mid day and you will hear and see the puff of smoke from the daily mid day Canon. Fab views on the other side looking down on Cap Ferrat and beyond. Only need an hour here, there are walks I believe. Worth a visit, especially if you enjoyed the TV drama, 'Riviera'.
Philip Harris — Google review
A beautiful park with wonderful views of the surrounding area and plenty of picnic tables and benches to eat at. There are also little offshoot trails that loop around the park that are nice to walk down. The bus stops near the picnic tables but far away from the fort / castle near the top so be prepared to walk if you take transit.
Evan Strain — Google review
What stunning views all the way to Italy on one side, and all the way over Nice to the airport and beyond... on a good day! Well worth the trip into the hills just behind Nice
Peter Meherne — Google review
Well worth the short climb up to this park. You will be rewarded with views of the old town of Nice as well as the beachfront. The new town and the mountains beyond are present in the background. Lots of places to relax on the grass and several benches. There are about a dozen viewpoints including the panaroma right at the top. Take food and water with you if you need them.

Breathtaking view overlooking the sea with all those white yachts docked at the port. Panoramic view from above to take photos under the blue sunny skies. It's free and for everyone to visit. Not bad place to hang out with your family and just admire the view. I highly recommend this place.
Joan Dulera-Delmas — Google review
Nice place for a hike. It can be hot but there was also a potable water station. There's a fort there too that's worth checking out but it was closed
Rachel Kreynin — Google review
Lovely park to visit for a picnic, a good walk (fairly hilly), or to visit the fort (only external viewing available). You can drive right up to the top with free parking, or get the bus from Nice . Great views from the top of both Nice and Villefranche. The walk back down into Nice is scenic and very steep. Just a word of warning. The walk through the trees that is mapped in one of my pictures is very rough, rocky, and requires good footwear.
Mike McInerney — Google review
We took the bus up to catch the sunrise over Nice. Many different trails - we did a shorter, moderate trail and it still had great views.

Awesome place with one of the best view on Nice and the rest of the coast from Villefranche to Monaco
Chloé W (Walk_with_clo) — Google review
Exquisite views and history available to experience anytime on this hilltop park. Besure to walk the Stairs and ally ways through old town to get a true appreciation of this mountain side village. Spectacular sweeping views of the coast and mountains allow you to see from the Surf to the Snow. Walk the Stone path and find the bay, the cove, top of the hill with waterfall below... enjoy the history.
Jared Uraine — Google review
Walking to and around the park did not feel too exciting. I was probably most intrigued to see the fort, and disappointed that all you could see was the outside of that. But the views to the surrounding areas, as you might expect for where a fort has been built, are amazing. But I don't think I'd bother walking there from the centre of Nice again just for the view. But perhaps to see inside the fort if there was a chance.
Scott Kerrison — Google review
Great running trails (both road and single track) and views of both Nice and Villefranche-Sur-Mer. The fort is in great condition and well worth a visit.

Museums
The Marc Chagall Museum in Nice is a must-visit for any Chagall enthusiast, featuring an impressive collection of his work from paintings to sketches to mosaics. The museum is particularly notable for its series of Bible illustrations created by the artist during his lifetime, reflecting his Jewish heritage.
Wonderful museum. A very good container for the works of great Chagall. Also very comfortable on its own and for visiting with children (we were with 4 kids aged under 10, all were very interested and this is thanks to how the works are arranged and presented).
Tatiana Brodskaya — Google review
Impressive museum with Chagall masterpieces like the song of songs or the biblical works. There are also sketches from the work on churches stained glass. Garden is also beautiful. I did not like that there is no seating to watch and enjoy.
Cristi — Google review
Great layout, a good number of large paintings by Chagall, and also an impressive set of prints including prints that were made for books. It is definitely worth spending a couple of hours. My only disappointment (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is that the paintings are mostly picked from the religious works of Chagall, and some of the masterpieces are missing. Nonetheless, there's a sense of awe from standing in front of these paintings.
Nasser Manesh — Google review
We visited the Marc Chagall museum and enjoyed our visit. The crowds can be very challenging, so pack your patience. The usually museum closes for 1 hr. From 1-2 pm for lunch. In addition to the museum galleries, there's a small restaurant, garden, and gift shop, all of which stay available during the lunch break..
Greg Woyton — Google review
Great artist, but I did expect more pictures to watch. Around 60 pictures are presented in this museum. Entry was under 10€.
Simon — Google review
A must museum for those fans of Modernist Art. In this one, the visitor will find many works religion-inspired of the artist: depictions of illustrations related in the Old Testament, as the artist was Jewish. Also, some works are abstracts, free to interpretation. Chagall was as well remarked for stained glass windows, and some of them can be found in this museum.
Natalia — Google review
Well curated collection of Marc Chagall's work. A state of art gallery in a nice setting. Loved the rose collection which went with the perfume experience. It was once in a life time experience.
Pramuditha Manusinghe — Google review
This art gallery showcases a fantastic style that is truly captivating for those with a specific taste. If you resonate with that particular artistic sensibility, you'll thoroughly enjoy the experience. However, if the style doesn't align with your preferences, you may feel out of place and uncomfortable. It's a venue that caters to a niche audience, making it either a delightful haven or a slightly unsettling environment depending on personal artistic inclination.
YY Liu — Google review
What an absolutely wonderful museum to visit while in Nice. Filled with his paintings, drawings, lithographs and prints, as well as his famous stain glass. It’s not a large museum and you can see everything in about an hour. At 10 euros a ticket, it’s absolutely worth it.

Amazing painter 😍 I'm really happy to find this museum
Robertas Romanovas — Google review
Superb collection of Chagall’s artwork. We thoroughly enjoyed it. There is a QR code for commentary of some of the artwork which is very helpful. Also a nice addition is the QR code for kid’s commentaries as well.
David Abramowitz — Google review
The museum is rather little, and it doesn't take more than 1,5 hours to see most of it, even if you adore Chagall. It is interesting that it was built like a church, according to Chagall's wishes. The paintings have mostly religious themes, but there are some more abstract and some more "personal". Worth visiting if you have spare time in Nice.
Elias P — Google review
The museum is dedicated to the works of Marc Chagall. The visit can be for about an hour and there is a French film on screen about the life of the painter.
Reza Sattarzadeh Nowbari — Google review
Unforgettable experience. Super well built museum, all the main pictures have free audio guide, that you can be listening from your phone. Free entrance for students. Touchy explanations of Chagall’s ART, beautiful memories and new things to learn.
Ekaterina Aleshina — Google review
My only criticism would be the lunch time shut down. It was not clear that the museum, in fact, was open until 1.00pm, although the tourist information said it closed at 12.00. Nevertheless, it was a fantastic art museum with an excellent film about the life work of Chagall, which we cut short because we thought we had to leave by 12.00.
Mary Howells — Google review
The Chagall Museum left a profound impression on me. Upon arrival, I noticed there was a queue, but to my pleasant surprise, it progressed quite swiftly. Inside, the artwork was nothing short of spectacular, capturing both my imagination and admiration. Even though the museum was bustling with visitors, each piece was so compelling that the presence of the crowd seemed to fade away. It's an experience I'd recommend to anyone; the masterpieces are an absolute must-see.
Roksolana Badun' — Google review
Wonderful to see the stained glass and paintings. Also the modern collaborative works - the room with perfumes matched to the paintings added another level to the experience. Note - metal detectors and bag search on entry. Liquid is not allowed in the building but there is a water bottle 'park' where you can collect your liquids when you leave.
E R — Google review
The worst experience I have ever had at a museum. We traveled in from Cannes for my birthday; I checked the website beforehand to make sure they were open, etc. We arrived when they re-opened from lunch and joined the queue outside. We waited 40 minutes in the rain before two large tour buses pulled up and emptied loads of people who walked straight into the museum. A man then came out to tell those of us queuing that the museum had reached capacity (even though it was only 3pm and the museum is open until 5pm) and no one else would be accepted. He closed the gate and that was it. It’s a shame as I visited the museum once before and loved it. I was really looking forward to returning for my birthday. I have never been treated so callously by a museum and would never give them my money again. If you want to visit despite the rude staff and abominable customer service, my recommendation is to arrive early and maybe call ahead to make sure no tour groups are expected.
J D — Google review
A very nice museum with a good collection. Be prepared to surprises during your visit. First I had to wait at the entrance as the number of visitors was too high. Then half of the museum was closed, ticket price was reduced from 10 to 8 Euro.
Irina Irina — Google review
It was really interesting but the stuff started to ask us to leave 40 minutes before closing time. Was a bit confusing and we couldn’t check all beautiful works. And we had to wait around 20 minutes outside due to the tour bus - not the fault of the museum but not a good experience.

La Vague d'Or, located in Saint-Tropez, is a three-star Michelin restaurant with a stunning view of the Gulf of Saint Tropez. Chef Arnaud Donckele trained under Michel Guerard and Alain Ducasse, and his menus are renowned for their original pairings and creativity.
27th stop in my Michelin 3 Stars Marathon in France. Follow me for updates and more reviews. The intellectual, the poet and the actor. So what’s extraordinary here? It’s a 3 stars, you should expect no less. Well, first of all, it’s a notch above extraordinary like all the Cheval Blanc. A lot to say but I’ll limit to 3 points The first two are actually the tension between the intellectual side and the emotional side. The chef Arnaud Donckele is the extremely well known for his dedication to sauces, and bringing them back to the forefront. But something was still bugging me: reducing (no pun intended) him to the superstar of the sauce was missing the point. Until I came to this Cheval Blanc. Here you can see how his intellectual part pushes him to look (dig, extract, isolate, magnify) for the essences and how a romantic part uses it not only to express, but also even fuel, his emotions. He’s like a Nerd in love. When they are, and when they manage to express their emotions correctly, they can conquer any heart because they turn the loved object in something even more sublime. He’s expressing himself correctly… and this Romantic side is perfect with the location, bringing back to Saint Tropez the intellectual and the freshness of the late 50s, without the bling. What’s in it for you? A very refined, diverse and yet coherent cuisine. But this will not be complete without mentioning Thierry Di Tullio. Gastronomy is closer to the living arts than any other art. You have the chef that is the author and very often the director, and then the producers (literally), the brigade who every night put a bit of their souls into making a recipe a reality, etc… The dining room is where you have the actors, forming a band. They will play their roles, with their personal touches and sensibilities, to you, dear reader and spectator. A plate without a good service, is like a script without a voice : Some great material. Thierry Di Tullio, the maître d’hôtel, is an actor, is an artist. The mood was chic and suave. I’ve seen friends, family and couples. I was alone but with total fullness enjoying the view, the cuisine, the moment. Some may call this Plenitude. A top tiers 3 stars. I barely can wait to come back.

Le Figuier de Saint-Esprit, a Michelin starred restaurant located in the heart of Antibes, is known for its inventive gourmet dishes and beautiful Provencal setting. The focus is on using local ingredients where possible and Chef Christian Morrisset's passionate approach to cuisine has made this restaurant one of the best in Old Antibes. Prices at Le Figuier de Saint-Esprit rise at night, but lunchtime prices are much lower.
After having eaten at some of the highest rated Michelin restaurants in the French Riviera, we decided to check out La Figuier. This wonderful restaurant was BY FAR the best restaurant we attended. The turbot was exquisite, the wine pairings were fantastic and the chef is a wonderful person. He came out and chatted with every customer after their meal - something which every other chef refused to do. This is my highest recommended restaurant in south France.
yitzy levin — Google review
This restaurant is probably the nicest restaurant in antibes. Food is well prepared and nicely plated. Service can be better, especially since there were only a few tablets occupied. Prices are very reasonable for what you are getting.. We had a nice 2012 bottle of wine from the area for 7 or 80€ .
David Tzafar — Google review
Today we’ve been at Le Figuier De Saint Esprit for lunch and went with the 3 course menu plus accompanying wine. The place is cute, the staff very friendly. We both went for different meals in our menus. It started with a good amuse bouche, followed by our first course. I had quail with bacon and mushrooms - very solid. Then followed by mullet with saffron rice, chorizo, brokkoli and garlic sauce. And as last a white chocolate “boat” with fruit purée and pistachio ice cream. My partner’s salmon with quinoa was overtaken by onions. Her foie gras was decent. Altogether the food was very good, the chef definitely played with the whole palette. Unfortunately the dishes were a bit - old fashioned/outdated? There was also no vegetarian option available, somehow not adequate in 2021. The wine that was given with each menu was fine, pretty mild. The staff might also have had a bad day, a mix up here and a food drop there… nothing major though - but not 1 Michelin star. Maybe the dinner options are better but in my point of view the place needs a push towards the 21st century. 4/5 stars.

We had an incredible 8 course meal at this superb Michelin star restaurant. Every dish was delicious and prepared impeccably, with great creativity and using the best ingredients. The list of wines is extensive, we asked for a recommendation and we had a fantastic bottle with our meal. There is a 60 year old Fig tree in the middle of the dining room which provides fantastic ambience. This isn’t really a kid friendly restaurant. Highly recommend it.

Appalling experience! Can't believe this restaurant has a Michelin star. Terrible service with rude, unprofessional and incredibly unfriendly staff (don't even expect a hello or welcome when you arrive or sit down at your table!). Food, mediocre at best. Renowned hillside eatery with an elegant atmosphere presents an innovative set-menu and ocean vistas. Recently ranked as the fourth top restaurant globally, Mirazur sits atop a picturesque Mediterranean perch in Menton. Its dining area exudes charm and brightness, showcasing breathtaking views of the sea.
Started off the evening with a tour of their aromatic garden. This was a unique sensory experience as you got to smell all of the different herbs and flavors that were growing there. Dinner was a nine course tasting menu. You will feel extremely full by the end. Be ready for some really bold inventive flavors. A few dishes were a bit off the mark for me but overall amazing experience. Some highlights include dishes like the potato garlic cream with caviar and the intro tapas. The dining room had a great view of the Riviera but the interior is a little bit more minimalist and leaves something to be desired. Phenomenal service.

I visited Mirazur back in 2019 when it was a claimed "best restaurant in the world" by Michelin. I absolutely loved the atmosphere the food was amazing along with the wine pairing and organically sources and grown in house greens / birds. Although I couldn't finish all of the courses, I found the price point to be fair and the service to be incredible. 🙏 What an amazing experience. I will be back next time I visit Monaco!

Had an amazing 9-course diner with wine pairing ! We were sitting in the kitchen (there is a table sitting up to 8 people right next to the chefs, separate from other guests), adding something very special to the experience. Everyone was extremely friendly, professional, and made an effort to fit our group's mindset. Special thanks to the sommelier who spent an incredible amount of time answering our questions, understanding our expectations in tasting a variety of "less-known" wines, with some incredible discoveries. Everything from start to finish was on point. The menu was designed around roots (turmeric, beetroots, ginger, turnip etc.) to match the season. The idea was to explore the interactions between "heaven and earth". Dishes were full of surprising flavors, with every combination matching perfectly. It lasted around four hours from start to finish, including a tour of the wine cellar, but felt like an hour and an half. Will be hard to beat !

Ridiculous, in a good way. 9 courses based on leaves that was seasonal, colorful, omnivore, insanely delicious, and left me absolutely stuffed. Brilliant staff, great night view of sea and city. Do it if you can -- we did it for my 60th! Can't wait to turn 70 now so I have another excuse.

Great white truffle experience here within this year and for the specific dish I think you have better to try it by yourself, because it can be called such as amazing, yet, the dessert is just fine and normal standard. On the other, the service quality is perfect and impossible to find any problems from this part, moreover, when I went to there the weather was raining and they given one umbrella to me for free. Will be back when the time turns on to the white truffle season next year
Rorschach Bell — Google review
We were there for dinner. Overall it was a big disappointment. This place doesn't deserve its 3 Michelin stars (maybe one) or being anywhere in the top spots of La Liste. I'll start with the positive parts: the view of Menton is superb. Some of the dishes we had were indeed very very good (the amuse-bouche, the Salade Marine with caviar, the Epinard Malabar Gamberoni from San Remo). However there were many issues: - no tablecloths, shocking for the price they charge. The tables are too close to each other. - the service was sub-par (brasserie level). They forgot to pour the wine before bringing the plates, I ordered an extra glass of wine which arrived 30' later, they were clearing the plates and cutlery from the left. Lots of personnel in the dining room but very poorly coordinated. - my main concern, the plates became less and less enjoyable as we advanced through the menu. The aged tuna tartare with capucine could have been excellent, save that its taste was drowned by too much yuzu/ponzu spice on top. The salad with seafood sauce should not be served in any starred restaurant - just by the look of it its place is maybe in a brasserie. The lobster with marjolaine was ok but uninspiring. The hay-cooked fish with porcini could have been excellent - both the fish and the porcini shavings were superb; however, the cooked porcini was completely tasteless. The guinea fowl was bland, and it came with two "satellite dishes" that did not fit at all with the main dish. Finally the red cabbage-based desert was "interesting" but not a great way to close the dinner. - while comprehensive, the wine list has very limited choice between EUR 100-300. Prices are up to 5x store price for the wines.

This is one of the best restaurants we have been to! Don’t forget to do the complementary garden tour :) The location is stunning - dinner while watching the sunset over Menton …. Food was just incredible, we were there for the fruit menu - definitely go for the cheese and wine pairing.

2021 Best Restaurant of the world, 3 Michelin stars. It had some big expectations to fill. We were greeted warmly and offered to freshen up in their bathrooms (the right two are uniquely designed). Then up to our table which had a centerpiece made up from the theme of our visit "roots". They change themes based on the moon position, which really means there are 4 rotating menus. My wife love roots, so this was an opportunity to explore them. Start to finish the food was delicious and we'll prepared. They served us and gave great English descriptions of the food. There are 3 different wine pairings. We went with the history of the vines/wine pairings since it was described as unconventional. It was lovely with wines from all over the world. Food highlights were the chefs grandma's bread, beet that was so tender with cream and caviar, sea bream that was the best fish I've ever had, and an stunning savory carrot pie. Presentation and service was top notch. We ended up being their almost 4 hours. An excellent experience, that we'll remember. I'd keep in mind that if you're picky or don't like roots, you probably shouldn't go during that time, but that should be self explanatory...

I visit this restaurant every year because there is a conference in Monaco. This was my 4th visit. However, this visit was very disappointing. As it became a Michelin 3-star restaurant, the price became very expensive, and the chef's intention to try something new was evident. But the basic principles of food do not change. I went to eat. Going to relieve hunger was the basic principle. The dessert of this meal was very good, but the main dish was not enough. In the past, we could enjoy various dishes such as pork, fish, squid, lamb, seafood, and oyster dishes, but this time, the food other than a plate of fish was flowers. Even the flowers were beautiful to look at but did not surprise the taste buds. It would be better to use honey from Kyrgyzstan to enhance the fragrance of flowers. Incorporating beauty and the chef's philosophy into food gives us incredible inspiration. But I hope you keep the basic principles of food.Philosophy and story are important, but the most important thing in food is taste.

A unique experience, an explosion of flavors, something that you should definitely try at least once in your life. I have been to several Michelin ranked restaurants but I really found this one on a completely different league. It’s the first time that I don’t really know how to describe well what I ate, the flavors were so unique. All their ingredients are locally sourced and the 70% of them come from their own local gardens. Among all the delicious dishes that they served us (it was a surprise menu), I really loved the raw calamari with caviar. Expensive yes but highly recommended. Well done to the Mirazur’ Team🫶🏽 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The La Merenda is a traditional Provençal restaurant in an old town with a charming simplicity. Chef Dominique Le Stanc uses regional ingredients to create delicious dishes, like zucchini flowers fried in garlic, tomato pie stuffed with fish, and tripes à la nicoise. You cant make reservations in advance and its part of the charm.
The minute the door opens the aromas overwhelm your senses! It smells fantastic and you can taste the food. I had the pesto pasta and sardines to start along with the house red. Both are amazing. I am not a fan of red, prefer white, but was impressed with the wine. My main course was the beef stew. The flavors were outstanding. I finished with the Lemon Tarte. The best lemon Tarte I have ever had. If you do not go you are miss6 a fantastic experience.

My favourite restaurant in Nice! It’s so authentic and special, it makes you want to try everything on the menu! The dishes are served very quick and staff is very nice (you can also watch famous chef Dominique cook, it’s an art). Beware that their summer and winter menus are different, but both remarkable and vegetarian friendly. Pesto pasta is a must 😍

Fun and cozy spot! The food was high quality, delicious, and well thought-out without being pretentious. Really nice portion sizes as well! Service was great and extremely efficient. Would absolutely recommend this hidden gem!! Reservations are absolutely a necessity AND bring cash!

Hole in the wall gem of a restaurant. After dining here for YEARS, they finally take reservations online! You will be elbow to elbow with others at this restaurant but the food is superb! Beast is the fried zucchini flowers and beef stew

I visited back in 2017. Quite the experience from the moment you walk in. There’s just 1 waiter and 1 chef. You’re sitting very close together at small tables, which was actually nice because it kind of forces you to meet the people around you. I sat next to an older Italian couple who said it was the best pesto pasta they’ve ever had. And they weren’t wrong. The pesto was so good I ordered the it twice (which the 1 single waiter made sure I knew he was annoyed I asked him for something when he thought we were done). Can’t say I’ve ever experienced that anywhere in the world but I guess it’s part of the experience? The service is the only reason I wouldn’t give it 5 stars. But again if you can get over that it’s really a nice time.

As always, the most authentic experience of Niçoise cuisine. 50 years later and the restaurant is still the same, and so are the recipes! 🥰🥰 I always love to come back because it's one of the only places in the World that you can still find such an experience. Thank you to the team!! 😍

If you are visiting Nice this is a top restaurant to visit during your stay. Excellent food preparation and service. Great ambience in a small space. Food made right on the spot. Only cash is accepted. Definitely recommended. Reserve a head of time.

This is our third time dining here, and the cuisine niçoise is fantastic. We're never disappointed whenever we come. We especially love the tomato tart and pesto pasta. The only downside is the seating, as it's quite narrow, not recommended for people with mobility issues.

The food is as good as they say and everything was great until after I paid. But after paying with cash, as I was leaveing, I quietly asked the hostess/manager(?) if there were no signs saying that cards weren't accepted, because I totally missed it and wanted to use the cash I had leave a tip. She made such a scene out of it, that everyone around the tiny place turned to watch. I left totally embarrassed. I don't understand why people say Parisians are rude, they have probably never been to Nice. My time in restaurants in Paris was great, unlike most places in Nice.

Wonderful nicoise restaurant with delicious entrees and desserts. Be sure to make a reservation, many people showed up wanting a table and were turned away. It is a tiny space and classic small French restaurant where you will sit directly next to your neighbor. The fish stew was wonderful and the pear dessert very refreshing.

This place is very low key and small, good for an intimate dining experience and feeling like your in a local French restaurant. The food was very tasty, I had the onion pie, the lentil soup, and the beef stew. The onion pie was yummy. The beef stew was delicious, not super fatty and came with these delicious chickpea fritters. The lentil soup was good, but not the best I’ve ever had. It lacked some depth in flavor. The owner was very nice to accommodate us without a reservation but I highly recommend you get one in advanced. Overall great service and great food.

One of the best restaurants in Nice, and possibly France. Heavy focus on traditional French Nicoise cuisine. Make sure to book ahead since the seating area is very "cozy" and not many places left once service has started. I would recommend the Pissaladiere and the Tripes a la Nicoise.

Had such a lovely lunch here! It’s a very small venue, so best be prepared to sit elbow to elbow with the strangers beside you (doesn’t bother me at all!) We managed to book to have lunch same day (we looked online at around 9am and saw the availability) we booked it straight away! It’s fully booked up until a week from now. The food was delicious, flavoursome yet simple fishes, like a new take on an old classic. My beef stew fell apart beautifully and my partner had the fish, both delicious! The chef was peacefully working away in the kitchen, none of that shouting and banging you typically hear from a kitchen. His wife was lovely and friendly, everyone spoke English very well. Highly recommend, I’d love to visit again.

Mediterranean restaurant
La Passagère is a Michelin starred french restaurant with stunning views of the Mediterranean over dinner. With indoor seating during the colder months, diners are highly recommended to dine outdoors in the summer to take advantage of the beautiful sunset while enjoying a multi-course meal. Previously worked with Arnaud Donckele, one of France's most renowned chefs, La Passagère offers impeccable cuisine and exceptional views.
A beautiful place, with a great history, too. The view is fantastic, and the chef and his team have enjoyed our evening with interesting creations.

Excellent food service and atmosphere. Three set menus each over €200 with the surprise menu being rhetorical most expensive. Worth the expense but must reserve in advance.

Had a drink at the Fitzgerald piano bar and it was really lovely. Cocktails are creative, art deco furnitures, decorations and architecture impressive. The portraits of all the great people (Fitzgerald, Sting, Catherine Deneuve, Woody Allen..) staying in this legendary hotel welcome you warmly. The pianist playing a few classical french songs takes you back in time. The price is exaggerated, in my opinion, but oh well )

Good service, well aged Meursault, “green light” menu very nuanced for a vegetarian option. Maybe offer a lighter apres / dessert - all lovely but a tad over the top.

We went for dinner on a Saturday night and have mixed feelings about the experience. What we liked: - The view - Historical building - Amuse bouche presentation and taste - the sea heritage menu produces, and its execution with great taste combination and texture - pretty and well prepared cocktails. I asked for less alcohol and the dose was perfect - interesting bread and butter What we didn't like - Mosquitoes. There were too many around their outdoor sitting. They should do something about it as it's spoiling the whole experience - very slow service. When we gave them. Feedback they said that some night are very busy and they are doing their best. We believe that when they charge 200 euro for any cancellation less than 48 hours prior, you have time to staff accordingly. - untrained waiters: we could feel a lack of organisation with a waiter holding a big tray for several minute's while waiting for others to come and bring the dishes to the table. Also we got interrupted every time they'd refill our glasses asking if we wanted still or sparkling water. They should remember that it one guest had sparkling and all the others had still. - no personality service. We like chit chat, humour and didn't even have a maitre d'hotel come and say Hi or ask where we were from, let alone the chef coming after the 4 hour dinner. - outdated decor with neon signs, electrical lamps that make terrible light. No candles on the tables when dining outdoor in the evening! - no ambiance music outdoors - our table was located near the staff corridor where we could see waiters going and coming Mosquito repelling candles and fire torchs might be a good idea...

Very nice setting and very welcoming staff. We had a table outside and the view was really nice. The food is nice, we had the seafood menu and I really liked it. The letdown was the service: while they had enough staff, the wait between dishes was very very long: for a 5 course menu we had to stay over 4 hours. Some tables arrived before us and left before us. Given that there are 3 set menus and we didn't take cheese, that's not great. Often you'd see a waiter holding a tray with a table next dishes but no other waiter to serve them out. There's clearly a need for someone to help with the flow of waiters and ensure that no table is left out: finished dishes would stay on our table for 15 minutes

Where do I begin? Loved every minute we were here. Tbe service was excellent. Everyone was so welcoming. We had the best time. The food? Amazing. It was definitely a gastronomical experience. The ambiance was lovely. Parking was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. Anyway. I'm not going into detail about my experience. All you need to know is that the answer is yes if you should go there.

This restaurant was absolutely horrible. They only have 2 menu options to choose from, both of which cost over 150$. The food was absolutely horrible. The actual meal was comprised of 4 small slices of mushrooms and 1 beetroot. The experience was abominable and there is no excuse for any restaurant to be making their customers pay 200$ for food that cost less than 2$ to make. Anyone who says this restaurant is good is simply there to experience the “rich” environment that they offer. The only nice part was the view. As for the restaurant itself, I would be shocked to hear that anyone enjoys their experience there. It was an absolute joke

Wonderful food, with a dash of sexism. While I had a delicious dinner at La Passagère, I was appalled to find out after the meal that I received a menu without any prices listed, whereas the men at my table received normal menus. I asked the waiter whether this was on purpose. He confirmed that as a rule they do not provide female guests with menus that list the pricing. How (in 2021!) is this appropriate? While the restaurant has a certain old-timey charm, I recommend that diners avoid this establishment until their management reconsiders their antiquated values.

Great food in a beautiful environment. We had the chefs menu which came with five main courses and five desserts. An exceptional an experience by the sunset and live jazz music from the piano bar
