The Promenade des Anglais is a palm-lined street that features a bike path and is emblematic of Nice, the beautiful French city on the Mediterranean Sea. It's one of the most famous seaside promenades in the world, attracting tourists from all over who come to sample the local cuisine, relax on the beachfront or take in some of the city's famed sights.
It’s a nice walk along the promenade by the seaside. If the weather is good, it’s really worth the time to stroll along here and enjoy the coastline of Nice.

Great place to walk/relax/promenade. Awesome atmosphere.
Maksym Popov — Google review
It is about 7km of magic. Whenever I am Nice I have to walk this walk where I get to enjoy the Mediterranean sea, different people walking long locals, and visitors. Different generations from all walks of life, it feels like a small world. I am glad that the city of Nice didn't allow anything to be built between the beach and the promenade. Thank you Nice for having this spectacular space that can make you go on a journey.

Romantic stretch of 7 km to walk and soak some Mediterranean vibe. Best thing to do in Nice.

The promenade is amazing best thing in Nice. it has restaurants, museums, shops all on it or more close by. Very busy area but at the same time relaxing.

Wonderful walking place, all the lenght of Nice. If you need to recharge your batteries, this is the right place to do it. It goes from the airport, all the way to the city center and the port of Nice. Nice view of it from Colinne du Chateau.

The Promenade des Anglais in Nice is an iconic destination that truly lives up to its reputation. This famed promenade stretches along the Mediterranean coast, offering spectacular views of the azure sea on one side and the charming cityscape of Nice on the other. It’s a perfect blend of natural beauty and urban elegance. What I loved most about the promenade was its vibrant atmosphere. It’s a bustling hub where both locals and tourists come together, whether it’s for leisurely walks, jogging, or simply sitting on one of the many blue chairs lining the walkway, soaking in the sun and sea breeze. The length of the promenade provides ample space for everyone, ensuring a relaxed experience despite its popularity. Along the way, there are numerous cafes and restaurants where you can indulge in some local cuisine or enjoy a refreshing drink. The beachfront is easily accessible, inviting you for a swim or a sunbath. The palm trees and the well-maintained surroundings add to the charm of the place. The Promenade des Anglais is not just a place to visit; it’s an experience to immerse yourself in the essence of Nice. Whether you’re looking for a place to exercise, relax, or simply enjoy stunning views, this promenade is a must-visit. It embodies the spirit of the French Riviera and is an integral part of the Nice experience.

This is my everyday stroll. Beautiful, clean, and relaxing, with no one hassling you; you can just stroll peacefully. I would recommend going to Castle Hill too, on the mountain; the view is incredible. It’s a must-see while in Nice. There are different options if you’re not capable of taking the stairs. There is parking on top, and Uber, taxi, or a tram tour are available.

The Le Sentier du Littoral hiking area in Cap d'Antibes is a beautiful, narrow pathway that leads along the coastline. The view of the Mediterranean Sea is breathtaking, and the path includes many places to relax and enjoy the scenery.
Beautiful trail. Very hot during summer, so better do it on a colder day or in spring/automne

We were so looking forward to this coastal walk after it was recommended to us by friends who had visited. We visited at the end of March and were blessed with great weather but unfortunately after trekking all the way to the start of the coastal trail, we found that the gates were closed and there was a sign to say it had been closed due to bad weather. This was disappointing and should be signposted earlier so that people don't waste their time getting there.
Pavan Mason — Google review
Great place to have a nice walk even in Winter times. I took the pictures on 2nd JAN 2022. Fresh air and stunning view.
Marcus Horn — Google review
Coastal walk with incredible views. We did the shorter loop from Chem des Douaniers to Billionaire's Bay. Not a difficult hike per se but there are stairs at certain parts, and you're in the sun most of the time so make sure you have proper sun protection and plenty of water. The trail is well marked and not crowded, but a bit busier once you hit the beach at Billionaire's Bay. We couldn’t drive through Ave Mrs Beaumont as there was a bollard blocking the road so we just parked nearby on Chem des Nielles and walked (around 10-15 min walk on paved road to the starting point at the end of Chem des Douaniers).
Joycelin Wong — Google review
When you are guided by instinct you just discover places like Le Sentier du Littoral such beautiful walk, I’ve started from La Garoupe Plage no words to describe and continued to explore Cap and stoped for a sunset at plage Les Onde.

Beautiful coastal walk with excellent paths for most of the way. There are excellent spots for swimming to cool off on a hot day.

Beautiful, peaceful (most days …) walk around the top of the Cap d’Antibes. Rocky in karts so not one for flip-flops, and just watch for jellyfish if you go for a dip!
Mathieu Robbins — Google review
Beautiful views, enjoyable hike, rocky so appropriate footwear highly recommended, but not a difficult hike, took us about an hour and a half but did stop to take pics. Started at billionaires bay ended at Garoupe Beach, where there were a selection of food choices to select from and a sandy beach to rest on after the hike!

The best coastal walk we have been to! Stunning and beautiful views of rocks against the sea. The walk is very rocky, uneven and narrow in parts, so be careful. It starts at plage de la garoupe, a great beach to relax at. Coves enroute are pebbly, so less pleasent to relax.

Amazing place. Really. Recommend to visit during you Antibes vacances. You will take plenty of pictures and nature’s energy. Path has lots of places to seat and recover. But be prepared: - you will not be able to exit the path earlier. For me it took about 1:30h to pass it. - during sunny days wear hat or something. There is almost no shade and sun is melting. I ended up with a headache in the end of the day. - take water with you.

Parc du Mont Boron is an nature park located in the eastern part of Nice, featuring a variety of trails for all levels of fitness. The views are breathtaking, and the park is perfect for a relaxing day out.
You can drive right up to the Fort, a few parking places if you are lucky. All free, you can only look around the outside. Short walk will get you views of Nice through the trees, arrive just before mid day and you will hear and see the puff of smoke from the daily mid day Canon. Fab views on the other side looking down on Cap Ferrat and beyond. Only need an hour here, there are walks I believe. Worth a visit, especially if you enjoyed the TV drama, 'Riviera'.
Philip Harris — Google review
A beautiful park with wonderful views of the surrounding area and plenty of picnic tables and benches to eat at. There are also little offshoot trails that loop around the park that are nice to walk down. The bus stops near the picnic tables but far away from the fort / castle near the top so be prepared to walk if you take transit.

What stunning views all the way to Italy on one side, and all the way over Nice to the airport and beyond... on a good day! Well worth the trip into the hills just behind Nice
Peter Meherne — Google review
Well worth the short climb up to this park. You will be rewarded with views of the old town of Nice as well as the beachfront. The new town and the mountains beyond are present in the background. Lots of places to relax on the grass and several benches. There are about a dozen viewpoints including the panaroma right at the top. Take food and water with you if you need them.

Breathtaking view overlooking the sea with all those white yachts docked at the port. Panoramic view from above to take photos under the blue sunny skies. It's free and for everyone to visit. Not bad place to hang out with your family and just admire the view. I highly recommend this place.
Joan Dulera-Delmas — Google review
Nice place for a hike. It can be hot but there was also a potable water station. There's a fort there too that's worth checking out but it was closed
Rachel Kreynin — Google review
Lovely park to visit for a picnic, a good walk (fairly hilly), or to visit the fort (only external viewing available). You can drive right up to the top with free parking, or get the bus from Nice . Great views from the top of both Nice and Villefranche. The walk back down into Nice is scenic and very steep. Just a word of warning. The walk through the trees that is mapped in one of my pictures is very rough, rocky, and requires good footwear.
Mike McInerney — Google review
We took the bus up to catch the sunrise over Nice. Many different trails - we did a shorter, moderate trail and it still had great views.

Awesome place with one of the best view on Nice and the rest of the coast from Villefranche to Monaco
Chloé W (Walk_with_clo) — Google review
Exquisite views and history available to experience anytime on this hilltop park. Besure to walk the Stairs and ally ways through old town to get a true appreciation of this mountain side village. Spectacular sweeping views of the coast and mountains allow you to see from the Surf to the Snow. Walk the Stone path and find the bay, the cove, top of the hill with waterfall below... enjoy the history.
Jared Uraine — Google review
Walking to and around the park did not feel too exciting. I was probably most intrigued to see the fort, and disappointed that all you could see was the outside of that. But the views to the surrounding areas, as you might expect for where a fort has been built, are amazing. But I don't think I'd bother walking there from the centre of Nice again just for the view. But perhaps to see inside the fort if there was a chance.
Scott Kerrison — Google review
Great running trails (both road and single track) and views of both Nice and Villefranche-Sur-Mer. The fort is in great condition and well worth a visit.

Museums
The Marc Chagall Museum in Nice is a must-visit for any Chagall enthusiast, featuring an impressive collection of his work from paintings to sketches to mosaics. The museum is particularly notable for its series of Bible illustrations created by the artist during his lifetime, reflecting his Jewish heritage.
Wonderful museum. A very good container for the works of great Chagall. Also very comfortable on its own and for visiting with children (we were with 4 kids aged under 10, all were very interested and this is thanks to how the works are arranged and presented).
Tatiana Brodskaya — Google review
Impressive museum with Chagall masterpieces like the song of songs or the biblical works. There are also sketches from the work on churches stained glass. Garden is also beautiful. I did not like that there is no seating to watch and enjoy.
Cristi — Google review
Great layout, a good number of large paintings by Chagall, and also an impressive set of prints including prints that were made for books. It is definitely worth spending a couple of hours. My only disappointment (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is that the paintings are mostly picked from the religious works of Chagall, and some of the masterpieces are missing. Nonetheless, there's a sense of awe from standing in front of these paintings.
Nasser Manesh — Google review
We visited the Marc Chagall museum and enjoyed our visit. The crowds can be very challenging, so pack your patience. The usually museum closes for 1 hr. From 1-2 pm for lunch. In addition to the museum galleries, there's a small restaurant, garden, and gift shop, all of which stay available during the lunch break..
Greg Woyton — Google review
Great artist, but I did expect more pictures to watch. Around 60 pictures are presented in this museum. Entry was under 10€.
Simon — Google review
A must museum for those fans of Modernist Art. In this one, the visitor will find many works religion-inspired of the artist: depictions of illustrations related in the Old Testament, as the artist was Jewish. Also, some works are abstracts, free to interpretation. Chagall was as well remarked for stained glass windows, and some of them can be found in this museum.
Natalia — Google review
Well curated collection of Marc Chagall's work. A state of art gallery in a nice setting. Loved the rose collection which went with the perfume experience. It was once in a life time experience.
Pramuditha Manusinghe — Google review
This art gallery showcases a fantastic style that is truly captivating for those with a specific taste. If you resonate with that particular artistic sensibility, you'll thoroughly enjoy the experience. However, if the style doesn't align with your preferences, you may feel out of place and uncomfortable. It's a venue that caters to a niche audience, making it either a delightful haven or a slightly unsettling environment depending on personal artistic inclination.
YY Liu — Google review
What an absolutely wonderful museum to visit while in Nice. Filled with his paintings, drawings, lithographs and prints, as well as his famous stain glass. It’s not a large museum and you can see everything in about an hour. At 10 euros a ticket, it’s absolutely worth it.
michael rabiner — Google review
Amazing painter 😍 I'm really happy to find this museum
Robertas Romanovas — Google review
Superb collection of Chagall’s artwork. We thoroughly enjoyed it. There is a QR code for commentary of some of the artwork which is very helpful. Also a nice addition is the QR code for kid’s commentaries as well.
David Abramowitz — Google review
The museum is rather little, and it doesn't take more than 1,5 hours to see most of it, even if you adore Chagall. It is interesting that it was built like a church, according to Chagall's wishes. The paintings have mostly religious themes, but there are some more abstract and some more "personal". Worth visiting if you have spare time in Nice.
Elias P — Google review
The museum is dedicated to the works of Marc Chagall. The visit can be for about an hour and there is a French film on screen about the life of the painter.
Reza Sattarzadeh Nowbari — Google review
Unforgettable experience. Super well built museum, all the main pictures have free audio guide, that you can be listening from your phone. Free entrance for students. Touchy explanations of Chagall’s ART, beautiful memories and new things to learn.
Ekaterina Aleshina — Google review
My only criticism would be the lunch time shut down. It was not clear that the museum, in fact, was open until 1.00pm, although the tourist information said it closed at 12.00. Nevertheless, it was a fantastic art museum with an excellent film about the life work of Chagall, which we cut short because we thought we had to leave by 12.00.
Mary Howells — Google review
The Chagall Museum left a profound impression on me. Upon arrival, I noticed there was a queue, but to my pleasant surprise, it progressed quite swiftly. Inside, the artwork was nothing short of spectacular, capturing both my imagination and admiration. Even though the museum was bustling with visitors, each piece was so compelling that the presence of the crowd seemed to fade away. It's an experience I'd recommend to anyone; the masterpieces are an absolute must-see.
Roksolana Badun' — Google review
Wonderful to see the stained glass and paintings. Also the modern collaborative works - the room with perfumes matched to the paintings added another level to the experience. Note - metal detectors and bag search on entry. Liquid is not allowed in the building but there is a water bottle 'park' where you can collect your liquids when you leave.
E R — Google review
The worst experience I have ever had at a museum. We traveled in from Cannes for my birthday; I checked the website beforehand to make sure they were open, etc. We arrived when they re-opened from lunch and joined the queue outside. We waited 40 minutes in the rain before two large tour buses pulled up and emptied loads of people who walked straight into the museum. A man then came out to tell those of us queuing that the museum had reached capacity (even though it was only 3pm and the museum is open until 5pm) and no one else would be accepted. He closed the gate and that was it. It’s a shame as I visited the museum once before and loved it. I was really looking forward to returning for my birthday. I have never been treated so callously by a museum and would never give them my money again. If you want to visit despite the rude staff and abominable customer service, my recommendation is to arrive early and maybe call ahead to make sure no tour groups are expected.
J D — Google review
A very nice museum with a good collection. Be prepared to surprises during your visit. First I had to wait at the entrance as the number of visitors was too high. Then half of the museum was closed, ticket price was reduced from 10 to 8 Euro.
Irina Irina — Google review
It was really interesting but the stuff started to ask us to leave 40 minutes before closing time. Was a bit confusing and we couldn’t check all beautiful works. And we had to wait around 20 minutes outside due to the tour bus - not the fault of the museum but not a good experience.

The Chez Acchiardo restaurant is popular with locals and tourists for its traditional Niçoise salads, as well as carpaccio and grilled meat dishes. The warm service and impeccable quality are hallmarks of the restaurant.
I had a dinner here. It was almost full but since I was alone one of the waiters managed to find me a table. Really nice staff. The interior was cool and the food really tasty.

Dinner is amazing and service is really professional and friendly. This is a great experience and Italian food. Everything was tasty, carpaccio (beef and tuna) appetizer and beef and fish for main course. Real authentic feel and vibes. Reservation is recommended even the place is pretty big.
Juuso Ilmel? — Google review
We booked this restaurant for dinner as it was highly recommended as one of the best places to eat in Nice. We were really glad that we booked as it was super busy and we saw lots of people being turned away as there were no free tables. There is no website to book a table so you have to call the restaurant to do this. The restaurant had a lovely family run vibe and the service was amazing. The waiters were friendly and very attentive. The house wine was great and you could either order this by the glass or by carafe. We loved the duck with fig sauce however the lamb chops were disappointing as they were quite small. The green gnocchi side was delicious. The chocolate mousse was also amazing. For the experience and the quality of the food, we thought the value for money was excellent.

We walked in on a Monday night and it was full till 9.15pm so we made reservation instead. Nicoise salad - 4 stars Nothing special. I had this as my main. Panisses maison - 5 stars Chickpea fry-like dish. Flavourful and moist. Loved this! Beef steak - 4 stars My husband really liked this! I'm not a steak person. Gnocchi with beef stew sauce - 3.5 stars Gnocchi was soft. Beef stew sauce was flavourful but I like beef stew sauce that has chunks of tender flaky beef. Tourte de blette - 5 stars Wasn't expecting much as the chard with brandy-soaked raisins sounded too much for me, but it was delicious! First one I've tried. The pie crust was AMAZING - one of the best I've had. The chard was grassy but fresh, reminding me of pandan in Southeast Asia. It came together really nicely. The orange blossom ice cream was good too though I'm not sure it was necessary. Worth going to if you're in Nice for the first time. I'd try the red mullet which is supposed to be a specialty of this area.

Great NİÇOİSE meals, cool and cozy environment, nice Restaurant crew, amazing tastes. For 3 of us, we got 3 appetizers in the middle, 1 main course per person, 2 bottles of red wine, it was 80 € Per person. What was shocking for me is the specialty SPINACH BEET PIE!!! Interesting taste and actually recommend this as a surprising sweet ending

Family owned and run. The owner was happy to share his story after greeting us at the table—even mentioning his niece was behind the bar with other family members working as well. Food was fantastic, and price was exceedingly reasonable. You need a reservation. We stopped by the prior day and put our name down for the next day. Easy enough, but I’m sure you could call.

I have to say, this is hands down the best place we ate at during our visit to Nice. A friend recommended it to us, and now I owe them a big thank you! This beautiful restaurant exceeded our expectations with its exceptional food. The fillet beef we ordered was an absolute masterpiece. Cooked to perfection, it was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Each bite was a true delight for our taste buds. We couldn't have asked for a better culinary experience. We also want to express our gratitude to the staff for their kind and welcoming hospitality. They made us feel right at home, and their attentive service added an extra touch of warmth to our meal. Their genuine care for our satisfaction made the overall experience even more enjoyable. If you're in Nice, I highly recommend visiting. The combination of exquisite food, beautiful ambiance, and friendly staff creates an unforgettable dining experience. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Thank you to the staff for making our visit truly memorable!

Fantastic restaurant in classic Nicoise style. Proper French cuisine, multilingual staff. We shared a mixed Nicoise starter that comprises most of the starters. Them i had rougets (red mullet) with fries while she had calves liver and green beans. Great bottle of Grave too. Highly recommended!

Recommended by locals. Go there early or make reservations in advance. The restaurant gets very busy every day. Packed with locals. Local dishes, large quantity and good price. If you are not big eater, order one course, so you still have space for dessert.
S CHEUNG — Google review
We originally tried to book online, but didn’t get a confirmation so walked past the restaurant to reserve for the next night as the restaurant was fully booked that evening. The food was worth the wait. For starter we loved the onion pizza. For mains we had the beef steak with home made fries and the duck with pepper sauce and a side of the chickpea fries. All cooked to perfection. We wanted to try dessert but we’re so full! The young gentleman waiter was really nice and checked on us multiple times if the food was ok. He also checked in on how we liked our meat which was important to us. The front of house gentleman was really lovely booked us in promptly and gave us the best seat in the restaurant. We loved our meal here, thanks to the restaurant for going above and beyond.

This gem of a restaurant came highly recommended by the locals I met. I was warned that getting a seat at a table may be challenging, but it was worth the effort! Best advice I will provide is make a reservation. The experience from start to finish was on point. The food is absolutely delicious, savory from the first bite to the very last. The service provided was fantastic as well. Staff was extremely personable, attentive and full of playful personalities which made the experience enjoyable! This establishment is worth the wait and effort to have a seat at the table! I highly recommend sitting outside to experience the life of the city.

Booked in advance for Valentines day dinner as we were looking for something Nicoise. Everything went great, the quality of the food is as good as the service, we felt so welcome and it’s definitely worth it if you’re looking for good quality typical food and also a pleasant atmosphere! The head waiter is very friendly and will make you feel at home as he speaks a variety of languages. We’ll be back!

Really nice restaurant in Old Nice. Very sophisticated atmosphere and service. I ordered red mullet fillets as my main with salad as the side and a glass of white wine. The red mullet was incredible, perfectly cooked and very flavourful - although I wish the portion size was just a bit bigger! The mandarin sorbet with limoncello as desert was equally amazing. The clientele seemed to be nearly all tourists, though the food and service is still perfectly authentic French/Niçois. I was very lucky to get one of the only free tables late at night on a weeknight in the winter - I'd definitely recommend getting a reservation, especially in peak tourist season.

Amazing Niçoise food. Try going early to make sure you get a table , as it's busy. Definitely recommend the stuffed veal!

Book ahead! We got super lucky and got the last two seats outside. Super genuine business and amazing amazing food. The way ( the owner? ) main guy and his staff interacts with his patrons is simply genuine considering the number of tourists and demand. It is the way I run my business. The stew and ravioli was simply incredible. The appetizer basil vegetable soup was one of the best I’ve ever had. Instead of having us ingest “the water tax” they gave us delicious tap water. The wine from Provence was amazing and only 22 euro. We made a reservation for the following night even before they let us take the remainder of the bottle home. Fantastic business.

Delicious food!! We had Nicoise salad, duck breast with ravioli on the side and chocolate mousse. The duck breast with fig sauce is divine. Cooked to perfection and flavorful. Ravioli with gorgonzola sauce is also very tasty. The Ravioli itself is delicious and loved the sauce. Salad is nothing special but I love the olive oil they serve with bread. So yummy. Also got a bottle of local wine and it was very good and reasonable price too.

Got the last table outside the restaurant & the service was impeccable!! Loved the banter with the waiter and how friendly he was :) Food was great as well. Fish was so fresh and the gnocchi was so soft, with the Gorgonzola sauce. Highly recommend the socca on the menu too! Loved the overall experience and i’m glad we could be there for our last meal in Nice ❣️was really busy so would recommend getting a reservation!!

A very big restaurant in Vieux Nice that is always full, so make sure you book. At lunch, it's more interesting as they have "specials" of the day. They don't do this at dinner where they have only the standard menu. You also have a better chance of getting a table at lunch. Service is very professional, from a well trained team of young guys who know every detail of how each dish is prepared. Portions are very copious so beware of over ordering. We shared a huge starter of Assiette Nicoise, which was an extensive selection of Nice specialties including, grilled peppers, stuffed vegetables, fried polenta, onion tarte, anchovies, salad etc. Delicious. Main courses of filet steak in peppercorn sauce, and the biggest veal Milanese I have ever seen. This overflowed the big plate, and was easily enough for 2 people. Local wine was excellent, and only 12 eur for a half litre.Quality of bread was also great.

Legendary French restaurant Le Louis XV has been located in the Hotel de Paris in Monaco for over two decades and is still run by Alain Ducasse's acclaimed mentor Dominique Lory. The menu features haute cuisine classics such as lobster with foie gras torchon, or langoustines with a nectarine and verbena flavoured sauce.
My friends and I stopped in and all agree it was the most phenomenal dining experience of our lives. Every detail mastered, every flavor balanced, every portion measured, and every member of the staff with exemplary service. Without question worth the price.

I don’t like it. I think it's very ordinary, there is no dish that can surprise me! I am disappointed because my expectations were high. Not bad, but not worth the trip. Restaurant is beautiful, service good. That’s all.

Le Louis XV by chef Alain Ducasse is located in Hotel de Paris. This unique restaurant has been awarded many times and currently has 3 Michelin stars. The restaurant has a limited number of tables in a small area but the ceiling is high and stylish. I can say that this restaurant provided the best service among the restaurants I have been to in my life. The staff were professionals and knew every detail on the menu. We tried the agape menu. The chef also had surprises so the tasting journey was 3 hours. To be honest the plates looked better than it tasted. Some flavors were too strong and we could not eat some of the dishes. It's pricey but worth a visit once. Overall it was an interesting experience.
Burak Özkarakaşlı — Google review
А chic classy restaurant, located in a nice beautiful hotel. Has 3 Michelin stars, BUT to be honest, comparing to other 3-star restaurants, the Louis XV restaurant should have been limited to 2 stars maximum. The reason I believe they got their third star - is the location in this wonderful hotel and the unique atmosphere of the country Monaco! -Presentation and serving of dishes are interesting, but almost without explanations and descriptions, something rapidly told in a non-understandable speech. They say that and that’s all, nothing like “Bon Apetit” or “Enjoy your main course”. -There is almost no attention from the service side to the guest during dinner, + only refreshing of water worked properly. -Taste qualities of dishes don’t evoke vivid sensations, tastes of dishes are very similar to each other. 18.11 Really appreciate the restaurant’s manager Ms.Sonnet got back to me regarding the review. I’m glad you care about customers and work hard to become better. Thank you and hopefully my honest opinion just helped in improving the restaurant’s wellbeing and service. Will be happy to visit Le Louis XV again.

Incredible food and the best service I ever received in any restaurant in the world. I think me and my two sons for dinner had 5 different people attending to us. We did not do the tasting menu but order appetizers and meals, but they kept bringing us food, lol.the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous in itself as well. The gift after dinner they give you was also a nice surprise. The bill was surprisingly less expensive then I expected, considering this is one of the best restaurants around. Will definitely return!!

Probably the best service I’ve ever come across. The food is of course amazing, and they gave the women a little gift bag to go (a delicious muffin) which was a very nice detail. Very very expensive but as expected.

Highest experience. Varieties of tastes, harmonies, poetry, textures... Excellent wine pairing, (I am not conoscieur of French wines, but their somelieurs did good job). It was a 2 1/2 long experience of beauty of tastes and excellence in service. The cost is as expected for this tyoe of restaurant, but it makes sense, since one can tell that they use highest quality ingredients and have a lot of people who work for this unique pleasure. Recommended 100 percent.

We've been to this restaurant 20 years ago and it was great, so we returned. The ambiance is elegant, but the food was below all expectations. Absolutely tasteless, poorly presented and with no imagination or innovation. The price (which it doesn't matter if all is great) which is high, and I would recommend you keep a huge distance from Le Louis XV... It's not worth even ONE star!

Absolutely top notch. Well deserving of the 3-Star designation. Fancy as they come, but coupled with the extremely personalized service that you would expect with a 3-Star. We felt warm and at home. The wine pairing is 10/10 - best I've ever had. Really beyond words excellent. The house made gluten free bread was amazing. I was so appreciative of this. The head chef is the kindest chef I've ever met. We felt so welcome. This is one tasting menu that I believe is worth visiting all over again. I will be back next time I'm on the Riviera.

This is the most formal and detailed dining experience I have ever encountered. The servers realized we were west coast Americans not French royalty and tried to tone it down. I honestly didn’t know places like this existed. Do not go here if you are going to want anything less than the highest standards in cuisine and service. It was honestly uncomfortable to me who prefers and more relaxed atmosphere. Now the food. Holy smokes. Just let them do their job. Every dish had a little flavor exploration and surprise. My two Italian servers were just unforgettable. I wish I could take them home. So nice and dreamy. Would love to come back now that I know what is going on. I’d recommend the terrace as it will be more relaxed at 9pm reservation. It is amazing. It looks out over the car show and night lights of the Monte Carlo casino piazza scene. Lots going on.

I frequent the Hotel and typically prefer private dining. This was not an issue for the restaurant. They are beyond hospitable and I couldn't be convinced to dine anywhere else. The staff was attentive and genuine. The food I will never forget and my husband enjoyed that there was quality in every aspect of our stay and dining experience.

Trying my luck for lunch, entering the terrace restaurant of this imposing Hotel de Paris in Monte-Carlo and being welcomed by very friendly staff. Although without reservation an challenge, they managed a table outside. The decoration outside is very simple, the view impressive. Surprisingly the food was not completely meeting the high expectations. The food is good, very good, however not mind-blowing good. Was not expecting to have a chicken curry where I still needed to peel off the skin of the chicken, however all very tasteful. The deserts are not only beautifully prepared and decorated, they are definitively worth a try! The decoration inside is something what can be described as mesmerizing and very rich in terms of architecture and decoration. This (terrace) restaurant is must-have for anyone who wants to experience the ultimate feeling of luxury, enjoying a beautiful view and being served by professional and friendly staff. Prices are high as expected, however not outrageous when you´re not going for the high-end wines, etc.

A dinner to celebrate our honeymoon. It was absolutely perfection. Every dish was delicious, thoughtful and beautifully presented. The staff was attentive and so helpful in answering all our questions. We thought it the dishes were more fun and interesting than our experience at The French Laundry.

An outstanding meal to remember for a very long time. As we made our way down the Côte d’Azur, we wanted to treat ourselves to a nice lunch and the experience here topped anything we’ve had. We loved that we were invited to a beautiful lounging area with great views for amuse bouche and cocktails, to be then invited back to the beautiful al fresco dining area. The food was so so fresh and delightful. I forgot their names but was so impressed by the fish pressed on a thin cracker and fresh shrimp sprinkled with coffee grounds. The wine was beautiful too. Service was excellent as you would expect from a Michelin restaurant. Everything was perfect! We went with a shorter fixed course menu since it was lunch, but the service went from 12pm to past 4pm and we were stuffed (in a great way). We were then sent off with a very delicious freshly baked bun (with orange zest). Such a pleasant and enjoyable meal. We were so glad we celebrated our anniversary here.

We had a great time in the restaurant. The service was exceptional, the food was perfect, and the vibes of this place are just as expected from a 3 michelin star restaurant. The only thing that disappointed me was the "simplicity" of the dishes. As a person that visits high-end and fancy restaurants frequently, for such a high price and rating, I expected dishes that would be much more interesting. Nevertheless, I still think this is a place worth visiting, at least once.

What an amazing place. The location is beautiful, the food outstanding and the service top of class. We had the big menu with a wine pairing which was both interesting and challenging and showed me wines I haven't tasted ever before but were delicious and - more important - perfect companions to the food. A big salute to the sommelier!

25th stop in my 3 Stars Michelin marathon (follow me for all the reviews and updates) Pagnol’s Provence What’s extraordinary here? The dramatic beauty of the south of France. As usual, I’ll have to reduce it to two points otherwise It won’t be published. Why did I thought about Pagnol there? Because, amongst many quality, one of his was to describe with kindness how the dramatic nature of the south of France, was also the root of its beauty. Here the chef has a bit of Pagnol in his vein. He’s always kind, like Pagnol, he may not try to impress you, but he’s making a very harmonious cuisine. He’s also able to take more intense and strong ingredients and turn it in something fun, seemingly easy and pleasing. Just like Pagnol. Fun, seems simple, humble but thoughtful and beautiful. Which brings me to the second point. The Dramatic beauty. The spot is just beautiful. One of the best of the 3 stars. It’s the perfect place to enjoy this cuisine. The match was clearly made in heaven. The staff is at par. Super nice, very humble but they had one of the best champagne I could dream of to enjoy my time there. Definitely a great recent entry in the 3 Stars world An already very solid 3 Star. Can’t wait to see them next time

Fantastic. The sea view is just out of this world framed by colored cliffs and pine trees : a Cezanne like landscape in front of your eyes. The food is just delicious combining the best of Mediterranean fishes and aromas. The wine selection is on par also leveraging the nice local and regional grands crus to deliver a true 3 start experience for a very reasonable price. Absolutely fantastic !

Our third visit. The sea view on the terrace is stupendous from this amazing location in Cassis, beside Cap Canaille's vertical 400 m wall over the Mediterranean. But there are some issues, including a significant rise in prices. The website indicates a 220 EUR 10-course menu and a 165 EUR 6-course menu, but no details are given: you book and hope you will like what you find when you arrive at the restaurant. Upon arrival we sat on the magnificent terrace watching the waves pushed by a dying Mistral, and asked for two glasses of Champagne. Three choices were given, with no mention of prices; I had to ask, which is really annoying. Ladies get menus without prices. It is hard to believe that in 2019 some restaurants still practice these obsolete rituals. We were presented with a formidable wine list. Given that the menu comprises various types of fish and meat, ordering a bottle of white and a bottle of red for two is not an option, so we looked for the list of wines by the glass, which is limited to a choice of Red or White, Prestige or Exceptional. To find out what is available, one must ask the sommelier , who only suggests one wine. If you want to know what else is available, you must ask again. One of the recommendations, the red Châteauneuf by Domaine du Banneret, was excellent, but the white Rully by Antoine Olivier was heavily oaked and not to our liking; they agreed to replace it with a pretty good Rüdesheimer Riesling by Breuer. The bread is excellent. The starters were perfect, including fresh tuna and superb miniature vegetables with tons of flavours. However, with the main dishes the chef tends to be a little heavy handed with the herbs and spices; the dishes are not quite balances, the sauces and spices masking the natural flavours of the expertly sourced top quality ingredients used. The pigeon was ok but not remarkable, a small portion of breast and a strongly spiced morsel of minced pigeon meat and liver. It did not help that the pigeon was served in a deep plate with clunky knives with an entirely straight edge that made it hard to cut the meat. The carabineros, deep red prawns from Palamós, were served practically raw, which can be delicious, but here they were bland and accompanied by two strong sauces. The polenta was gritty like semolina. Dessert was excellent, as were the "mignardises". The service is oddly smiling but distant. Explanations are given by rote, but the waiters are not really listening. Same for the wines: there is no attempt to gauge how much the customer knows about wine, and adapting the discourse accordingly. Despite the numerous staff, the staff's presence is limited to bringing and clearing plates, and otherwise hard to get hold of. Villa Madie has the opportunity to become the best restaurant in the area. With a little extra effort it could easily surpass the other local stars, including the 3-stars.

Brasserie de Corton: Delicious meal, impeccable service. Perfect timing and incredible view. Lunch and dinner service, with a gift certificate makes the whole experience relaxed and stress free. Lovely beach to walk along after to digest the meal and watch the surfers. 🥂🏄‍♂️👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 ❕Not to be confused with the Villa Madie Michelin star restaurant downstairs.

AM restaurant, headed by the talented chef Alexandre Mazzia, offers a unique dining experience in Provence-Alps. With its modern and minimalist ambiance, it serves inventive and visually stunning contemporary cuisine. The Michelin-starred establishment embraces the natural colors and shapes of ingredients to create dishes that are both aesthetically pleasing and delicious. From delicate vegetable-speckled biscotti to globally inspired flavors, AM takes diners on a culinary journey around the world.
Another example of showing Michelin star restaurant is all about consistency. Dine at the chef table and enjoyed seeing how the process worked where the chef does the final quality control to ensure consistent presentation of dishes to customers. Wine pairing was overall good. The only combo I did not like was the selection to pair with cheese. Camembert is cheese with strong character and so as the selected wine.

The best French restaurant from my standpoint. The chef mixes its African origins with the Southern France ingredients in a very unique way. The dishes are very original and tasty. The personnel is very nice and professional. The location is probably too small, but modern and smart.

We came here for a celebration and had reserved the chef's table where all the action of food preparation was unfolding before our eyes. 23rd in my 3 stars Michelin Marathon in France (follow me for reviews and updates) The Jazzman The usual 3 stars question, « What’s extraordinary here? » is simple to answer : Him I’ll focus on only 2 points otherwise It’s going to be flagged again as being too long to be true. When I was doing my intense 3 stars tour in the south, this review was already done in my mind. Each chef had their trait, and he was this French chef, arriving from the African continent, straight to Marseille, with his spices, pepper and roasting, playing/experiencing with our senses. Until I met Chef Arnaud Donckele. I was quickly debriefing him of where I was in my tour, and about to start speaking of Alexandre Mazzia when he stopped me right there and said “He’s a Jazz player”. I was so happy, I could have hugged him! If I hadn’t been in a three stars, if it was not the second time I met him in my life, and if it hadn’t been for my education that prevents me to do so. Yes, of course, he’s a Jazz player. It’s not like Gagnaire with an universe and its satellites. Dishes are notes, with their own tempo, from which you jump to another chord, another small plate. Like a jazz player, he’s not in a classical register, he’s using structures and even notes, blue notes, that are reminiscent of another continents, of other times. He’s playing with the audience perception, anticipating its reaction, just like an astute jazz player. I’m a huge Mingus fan. One of Mingus quality as a Jazzman, was that he was able to make you go through a reflection by making you feel the thought process. Others are explaining you, or just able to share one single emotion. It’s a big difference. Here, he’s sharing a reflection. May be both on his life and his work, but finally by an ultimate mirror effect, by “reflection”, on the gastronomy. He’s not just a jazz player, he’s a Jazzman. Ok, enough with the crazy review. What’s in it for me? You ll have fun, you’ll be surprised, you’ll be entertained. The service and the atmosphere is of a 3 stars auteur. You’ll have some well rounded professional serving mainly foodies. The chef universe can be felt in every detail, and the chef does pay attention to detail… It’s a top tiers 3 stars playing in its own registry

The restaurant features hearty Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on freshness and quality. The terrasse is lovely and perfect for enjoying a summer evening, while the efficiency of the service makes it a perfect spot for meeting friends.
Ok, this might be an odd review because we didn't actually get to eat here. After a day touring the Ardeche we were looking to enjoy a pizza, we arrived but unfortunately the restaurant was closed. A lady in a car next to us, who was checking their group booking for the following day told me that she had been a very regular customer over the last 10 years and the food was excellent. We were disappointed that we couldn't eat however set about looking for another local pizzeria. Whilst in the car the lady proprietor came out. She could see we were looking for options and was on the phone to another local restaurant to see if they were open and could accommodate us. We were bowled over by this act of kindness and went along to the restaurant and had a lovely pizza. We will be visiting the Ardeche for 2 weeks this summer so will definitely go back.

Good food! The vegitarian salad was seasoned well. The chicken roll with tandoori flavour wasn't tandoori flavoured one bit (was more of a cream curry) but good in quality and still a nice meal. We will go back for the burger or steak which both looked really good. The coffee here is ok, but for a coffee lover like me it is sub par.

Wow! What a great hidden gem! After being rejected at two other spots (too full/understaffed) we parked here and had a better time than we could imagine having "closer" to the Arc. The staff is super friendly, the terrace (not visible from the road) has great music and is super relaxing. The menu has options for whatever suits your taste. The only downside was we couldnt give a tip through the card machine. If you are staying in the area and are looking for a good meal or just something to drink, this is the place!
