Casa Parlante Museum

Mentioned on

Specialty Museums
Casa Parlante Museum is a historic mansion from the 19th century that displays animatronic figures and period interiors, providing visitors with an entertaining and informative experience. The furnishings are authentic to the time period, while the puppets add humor to the tour. Knowledgeable and friendly guides lead visitors through a 30-minute tour, followed by ample time for exploring and photography.
Very enjoyable, they have recreated a town house and told the story of an aristocratic corfiate family. We were given a tour in English that was done by a lovely lady to just me and my wife; the guide was open to questions and enjoyed exchanging stories. N.b. I think you need to be a young adult/adult to enjoy it.

We visited this museum because it had top ratings- and now I know why. Such adorable female guide led us through the story of an aristocratic family with lots of interesting details. She knew the answer to all our questions! If you come, you will be greeted by a wonderful decor with a welcome drink. And after that, the story begins.. thank you so much for having us. 💜

Lovely little museum with a fantastic guided tour that clearly explains the history of Corfu during the early 1900’s. Plenty of original artefacts. Small enough for a half an hours visit.

A great opportunity to look inside a 19th century Greek aristocracy home. A lot of authentic subjects of domestic use and high quality replica.

A fun and informative look inside an old aristocratic family's household. All the furnishings are age-correct, the puppets are very funny and the guides well-informed and friendly. Definitely worth a visit. The tour takes roughly 30 minutes and afterwards you can look around and take as many pictures as you want.

I really enjoyed the visit! Our guide took us into a journey to the past which was captivating, full of information and fun facts. Great place if you like to learn something and feel the spirit of XIX century. Whole visit takes around 30 minutes, big plus for the English pronunciation of our guide! 😊

A cool ethnographic museum, especially if you haven't been to any similar museums in Greece before. We were guided through a 19th century aristocratic mansion, and found out more about its history and the lives of its former tenants. We had the chance to see original furniture, paintings and other heirlooms, which all came alive due to the animated figures. Personally, I would have preferred much more time to explore the rooms, to look at the memorabilia, and to read the various signs. Still, it was very enjoyable. Tickets cost 10 euro per person, including the guided tour, which lasted about 30 minutes.

Very nice museum everything so well organized and especially the guide Olymbia was really sweet and explains everything so well! It’s obvious that the personnel cares about their work and their positive behaviour is a plus for this museum! Also the drinks that gave us to try in the start were also very nice!

Really interesting little museum showing an aristocratic household as it was in the past. Knowledgeable guide, tour was in English and they also do other languages.
Gillian Balogh — Google review
Very nice experience. The receptionist and our guide were so kind. You should definitely take the tour, it is a well organised storytelling about the customs of Corfiot aristocracy and everyday life. Almost all items within the museum are original masterpieces from the 19th century.
Christina Dehola — Google review
Awesome experience! The museum is really beautiful with animatronic dolls that describe the story of the members of the family that used to live there. The tour guides are really helpful with a lot of historic knowledge and they provide tours in more than one language (Greek, French, English). All in all a great experience. I would definitely recommend it!

Corfu Donkey Rescue

Mentioned on
Animal protection organization
Nature & Parks
The Donkey Rescue Center in Corfu is a delightful and significant location. The volunteers are amiable and take pride in their work. They provide detailed information about the donkeys, guide visitors around the center, and answer all inquiries. The animals at the shelter are adorable, especially a ginger cat that roams around. The cheerful atmosphere leaves everyone feeling contented. Visitors can have an excellent experience by coming to this place and supporting it through donations.
The Donkey rescue Center really is a sanctuary. Tucked in between the olive groves and meadows you can tell that it is a peaceful place where the donkeys are well taken care of. The staff is friendly and explain about what the mission is and let you walk around freely to pet and comb the donkeys. There are also a lot of rescue cats and dogs on the premises. The entry is free and there is no one bugging you to give any money even though there is a box if you wish to leave any donations. You can also bring cat and dog food, but as instructed please do not feed the donkeys as some of them are in quite a bad shape and require special diet which the Donkey rescue center team is taking care of. Worth a visit, just be careful and drive slowly on the white road as it can get quite bumpy to get there and you can damage the bottom of your car if not careful.

A beautiful, meaningful place. We came yesterday for a short visit and stayed for many hours. The people at Corfu Donkeys Rescue are very friendly and very proud of what they do. They have explained everything about the donkeys, showed us around and answered every of our many questions. We have fallen in love with the animals there (especially with one ginger cat, which followed us around). Everyone seems very happy and we left feeling the same. Please, come for a great experience and please, donate. I would like to thank to the staff of CDR one last time for the best day at Corfu so far and please say hello to the cat we fell in love with, he is a good boy :).

Such a wonderful place! Absolutely worth the visit if you enjoy spending time amongst donkeys and very friendly cats. Staff / volunteers gave us a brief introduction and then we could explore the grounds on our own.

Thats one lovely place. People there are volunteers and they do it with love. I really reccomend to go there because people there love visitors, they are friendly and will tell you about everything. Theres also lots and lots of cats because people just leave the cats behind theyre door and the people there have a big heart and take them in. Theres no ticket fee to visit this place, but there is a donation box, please leave at least something there, the donkeys really need all the help.

Loved visiting the sanctuary, the animals were all very healthy and the stables were very well maintained. Fell in love with Lyra the donkey. The entry is free there is a donation box on exit, please donate. The lady in charge is doing an excellent job and should be proud at what she as achieved with these poor donkey's. I will adopt on my return in England and will visit again next year. Highly recommend the visit donkey's are wonderful animals and deserve the respect they are given at the sanctuary. Also cats and dogs present. See you next year.

Great place. My family and I went there. The work being done is great. We were welcomed by a friendly person and the Donkeys 🫏 were friendly too. We would definitely come back. Definitely a must do in Corfu if you are visiting with kids especially

We had a great time, these people spend a lot of time and effort to do good by these lovely creatures. It is totally worth the trip, the kindly accept carrots or apples as donation if you have time to get some. There is plenty of space for the donkeys and it is great to see them have a home with lots of love. You can also go for an adoption and help to care for a specific one if you like. Thanks a lot for all your work!

A little off the beaten track but perfectly accessible by car. We brought some apples and carrots for the donkeys & made a donation (which without the public's help, they would not survive). It's a tranquil place, with a team of dedicated volunteers who are providing the donkeys with the best life possible. It's definitely worth a visit!

Great experience! Although we were having a hard time to get there the overall experience was just perfect. It's great to see there are still people who care about poor mistreated animals. Lady in charge is really nice and you can see how much she cares. She gave us guided tour, led us through story of every donkey which was really nice. Please don't bring any food as they are on special diet, you can pet them, brush them instead. They even care about lots of cats and dogs! There is a donation box on the way out, so please donate :)

Donkey rescue center. (Translated by Google) Donkey rescue center. They have about 25 donkeys, over 100 cats, about ten dogs, chickens and very friendly volunteers. They tell you about the animals and explain that you can brush and pet them. Nice to look around, the access road is more difficult to pass but doable. Please note that you drive south on the road, we took the western road, which is less accessible.

This place is very hard to get to... It's in the middle of no where but so so work it when you get there. A volunteer meet us at the gate and told us all about the donkeys and some of their stories and the rules of the place but after that we where left on our own to pet and brush the beautiful souls. They are so sweet! They are doing such a great thing for these guys who have been mistreated so they get to live out there life in peace. Absolutely recommend this place.
Leanne Lang — Google review
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here, staff were very friendly and passionate about the centre and all the animals were well kept. We had a lovely time just spending time with the animals and they clearly like the attention! The centre is quite remote and is accessed by a dirt track. Wasn’t a problem in our hire car but if you are using your own car you might want to take it easy! Would recommend a visit.

Top initiatief. (Translated by Google) Great that this place exists. Wonderful to see that old and discarded animals are cared for here. The staff is super friendly for us as well as the animals. They really love these animals ( also cats and dogs) It's a peaceful place where old and sick donkeys are well looked after- no more abuse, no more tourist on their backs!

Amazing place! Run by really committed voluntaries with care and love. If you visit Corfu for more than 3 days, this Is must go destination if you renting a car. Small pice of advise from me is to not call on google listed phone if you get there, because it is hot line for animals rescue(I did that mistake.... Sorry...) Access to site is a bit confusing (if you drive you need a bit higher suspended car). Based on my experience you need to wait for somebody to cross near to the main gate(it may very, my trip was outside of touristic season) to let you in. Access is free, but This place relay on donations, so it is much appreciated there. You can do it in EUROs in cache (only currency) or on line transfer. It is brilliant place with a lot of seeking attention donkeys, cats and other rescued animals Highly recommended!
Michał Piszczek — Google review
This is a place doing great work to help donkeys, some dogs, and lots of cats. It is modest, don't expect anything fancy. You can pet and brush the donkeys. The man who greeted us at the gate was lovely. Come from the South, not the West! We came from Paleokastritsa, and google took us off the main road and brought us through roads unsuitable for a car. We drove a rental quad so we had a great time! It is free but they take donations, please bring cash (euro is best). You can sponsor a donkey for a year for €90 or a cat for €50. They should definitely open a little gift store, we would have cleared the shelves.

Gardenos Beach in Corfu is a picturesque and stunning beach. It boasts of fine sand, clear water, and a lush green background that creates an excellent ambiance. The beach provides ample space to enjoy various activities such as walking or swimming. Additionally, it has a nearby bar and sunbeds for visitors' convenience. The shallow waters also make it safe for children to swim, making it suitable for families.
One of the most beautiful beaches in Corfu and my personal favorite scenery wise! The fine sand, green background, mostly empty beach and super clear water are just an amazing combination you don't want to miss! Maybe you want to go for a walk on the beach, or go for a swim or go to the close by beach bar? This beach can handle it all and blow you away with its beauty while you enjoy it ;)
HelloFishy — Google review
Great beach with fantastic views. Very reasonable Bar and restaurant on site and lots of parking. Miles of lovely beach front and waters are shallow and warm. Cliffs towards the north are serene with clay from cliffs which is good for the skin. Recommend

Phantastic beach. Either Take a place in Front of the Taverna or walk a little Bit and find a Quiet place. If so Take a Parasol with you as there is no shadow. Water ist clear and not deep

At the south west side of Corfu, this long stretched, sandy beach is very compfy and suits for playing in shallow water of the sea! 👌🇬🇷

Wonderful Beach, cristal clear sea with sandy beach with paid umbrellas and lot if free space. Also a couple of good tavernas/restaurants. Lot of parking space, also good for camping.
Nikola Kukric — Google review
Beach is nice but the tavern opens at 11.00 so no freddo espresso until then. Even after that, they don’t really want to make it. They just want you to pay for your sunbeds and shut up.
Eugen Baicea — Google review
Clean sand and water, a lot of space to park your car. The umbrella/sunbeds prices are 8 euros. There is a extremely good “Julia” taverna nearby.
Martin Ivanov — Google review
Really nice beach, especially if you go a bit further from the tavernas, where it is less crowded.

Very very Wonderful beach. On the naturalistic side too. Here caretta caretta turtles lay eggs. In june few people.

Really nice one. Probably the 2nd or maybe the 1st of all of the beaches we have seen in Corfu during 5 days trip. Water is clean, shallow for children. Sand is very nice. There is a bar as well and sunbeds. The most important is that there is plenty of space not occupied by Sunbeds.
Lukasz De — Google review
Super nice beach. Very quiet and lots of families. Not too crowded, as it’s very long, you have plenty of space. We wanted to see the sunset but it was not possible because the sun hided on the mountains.. But still it was gorgeous!♥️ We saw at least 3 different bars !

Clear waters, not overcrowded, enough parking space, tavernas next to the beach, good umbrellas and sunbeds with affordable price...

Porto Timoni beach

The beautiful Porto Timoni beach is a must-visit for anyone vacationing on the island of Corfu. It is very adventurous to get there, but the views are well worth it. The beach is accessed by a rocky path or boat, and has clear waters perfect for snorkelling.
The most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen! It’s a little bit of a climb down, so make sure you have solid knees and shoes as it can be tricky at times. And also bear in mind you have to climb back up which is can be quite intense. However it is super worth it! The bay on both sides or beautifully blue, clear and perfect for swimming. The scenery and the views when you come down are breathtaking and could have stayed there all week.
Isabelle Schreuder — Google review
I really enjoyed this beach. It is very interesting as it is split in 2 different bays. On the left side the water is very clear and calm, but colder, while on the right side is much warmer, but with more waves. It is great for snorkeling. One can get here on foot by climbing down a 20 minute trail. It's only recommended for fit people especially in the summer heat. Taxi boats can also get you here. Parking is expensive in the village, between 3 and 8 euro.
Andrei Meroniuc — Google review
The walk there and back is not so easy. Sunny. No shade. Full of people - "traffic jams" and the beaches are gorgeous but crowded from 12 o'clock approximately. Be careful with parking fees. Try to park for free or take a boat from the main beach.
Kalanit rat — Google review
A truly unique place, beautiful landscape! The brach can be reached on foot, or by boat that departs from the beach Ag. Georgios. Although the path on foot is quite challenging, it is definitely worth the effort because you can enjoy a wonderful view of the bay, unreal blue colors. The beach on both sides is quite small, the water is quite cold, but crystal clear, there is not much shade, so if you plan to stay longer, be well equipped.
Ana — Google review
A great place, one of the most beautiful beaches in Corfu. It is a bit hard to reach, but it is deffinitelly worth it. The path is rocky at places, so wear comfortable shoes. The views from the path are breathtaking. We visited early in the morning, so the beach wasn`t crowded. Around noon more people arrived. The water is crystal clear and great for swimming. The beach on the left side is a bit smaller and the water is calmer and warmer. The right side beach is bigger and more open so there were some small waves.
?????? ???????? — Google review
One of the most beautiful beaches in Corfu. You definitely need shoes to walk down the path to the beach. Don’t go with flip flops. The path is rocky at places. It will take you 20-25 minutes to reach and 30 minutes to get back. The views from some spots of the path are breathtaking. If you go early in the morning the beach isn’t crowded but later in the day gets crowded. The one side of the beach is bigger than the other and you can choose in which one to stay according to the wind. The water is crystal clear and great for swimming. I bet that in July or August it will be extremely crowded
George Kontogouris — Google review
DON'T WEAR FLIP FLOPS GOING DOWN If you bring something down, bring it up. Don't leave waste. Just making life difficult and dangerous for yourself. It's rocky and it some places slippy. Wear a decent pair of runners/trainers/sneakers at least that have some grip. It's 120m descent/ascent Parking at the top is €5 and street parking is illegal except in one place but you're only getting that at 8am. It gets busy. There are no toilets or facilities down there. So if you need a number two don't do it on the path like some miscreant did. It's a beautiful beach with beautiful water.
Lorcan Murray — Google review
Photogenic beach BUT... Don't recommend arriving on the weekend, parking is a nightmare I'd tiu don't want to spend €10 for it, beach is overly crowded, sitting spots are mainly rocky and painful pebbles, taxi boat makes it annoying to swim or sit peacefully and relax. But taxi boat can also get you out of there for nicer beaches and shuttle you back to the parking lot. Even the viewpoint along the hike had a line to take photos! It's about 20-30 min to get to the beach and the trail is gravel down the hill. Do yourself a favor, keep the flip flops for the beach and wear hiking shoes. The beach is not clean, full of rubbish on the weekend and quite disappointing this way. Overall, not on the weekend, this place can be magical
Inbar Yaar — Google review
Bliss. This pair of beaches is only reachable after a 20 minute, semi-challenging hike down a maintained, rocky path - decent shoes are recommended. This, in my opinion, only adds to the experience, acting as a precursor to what will be a total immersion of nature before you reach the isolated waterfronts. There is also the option of further hiking to a third, quieter beach (less than 10 minutes onwards), and a small monastery nestled within the woods higher up (about 15 minutes onwards). Definitely worth it for crystal clear waters and the entertaining trek.
Zack Austin — Google review
Definitely worth the walk down. Make sire you wear good shows though as it can be steep and slippery if it has rained. A must do in Corfu
Nik Armenis — Google review
Quite the trek to get to the beach so make sure you are wearing comfy shoes or good flip flops!! The left side beach was packed as the sea was much calmer when we went around 3pm and water colder compared to the right side beach which had waves and was much warmer. There are no shops nearby so make sure you have everything you need with you. Both beaches were ok. There were some taxi boats available (not sure from where or where they were going and how much it was). Amazing views!!
Alex — Google review
Paradise 5/5. Top place/beaches in Corfu. Just positive vibes. The journey from the parking lot about 20-30 minutes, depending on condition. You need to take more water.
Milan Bob?ek — Google review
We went to this beach today with a car. We parked our car at the parking lot at Afionas for 5€. The Google maps navigation was showing us the way through the town to get closer for the beach, but the streets are so narrow there, so our rented Opel Corsa would not squeeze there without getting a few scratches. If you come by scooter, maybe you can reach closer and park it somewhere else. From the parking lot to the beach there’s a hiking trail. The workers at the parking lot told us today that the beach is closed because of the fire hazard, but in reality you can still go there to swim. There’s just a rad tape with a sign in the beginning of the hiking trail telling you not to go down. Many people were going though, us included. At your our risk, of course. To go down to the beach it’s better to wear hiking shoes or at least sports shoes. We saw many people walking with flip flops, but it’s quite dangerous. The trail has so many rocks and some parts consist only of rocks (see the photo). On the way there’s a nice scenery. You can take photos on the way. You can see the different beaches and boats in the sea. There’s also a spot to take a photo from the top where you can see the two separated beaches. The water in the beach on the left side is colder. Everywhere the water is very clean and transparent. Bring snorkeling mask or at least diving glasses to watch the fishes. Near the corals there are many fishes. On the right side there’s also a beach with not so cold water, but with more waves. It’s very enjoyable to swim there. The downside is that there’s no litter box to throw garbage and the beaches get dirty. There are so many plastic bottles, bags, cups and wrappers lying around. One group of Italian tourists we’re eating sandwiches directly in the sea and threw the rest in the water, which was disgusting to watch. Also, some people smoke at the beach and leave cigarette butts in the sand. All in all, good experience there, time passed very quickly and we had a great time. Totally recommend!
????? ????????? — Google review
Beautiful views but the beach isn't stunning in any degree. For a walk with nice views it's excellent. Keep in mind that the trail to the beach is basically from small or big rocks so it can be hard to walk down there.
Jan Opala — Google review
Beautiful beach in a secluded location. Definitely wear sneakers for the walk down - very rocky and uneven in places. Earlier you arrive the better as this beach is very very busy. Lots of people coming and going which makes it less tranquil, and hard to find space in the pebbly beach, but worth it for the views. There were lots of wasps around when we tried to eat our sandwiches, so eat quickly! Possible to boat in and out if you prefer

This is a must-visit unreal piece of heaven. It is no acceptable to visit Corfu and skip this spot. We parked the car at Afionas Parking (5 EUR for the day). Then we went walking through the little town. First, we reached the Viewpoint from top of Porti Timoni, we took some pictures then we decided to go all the way down to the Porto Timoni beach. It is a tough sport and not a short distance, but it is absolutely worth it. It takes approx. 25 minutes to reach the beach. make sure not to miss the chance to swim. The water is fantastic. Grap a bottle of water with you, no drinking water available there.
Bashar Al Katrib — Google review
Nice and beautiful beach with perfect spot for snorkelling 🤿. Today there were very few people. Park your car for €5 and then hike down the hill for 30-40 minutes. Hiking shoes recommended but we saw many people hiking in flip flops 🩴. No recommended though. Nice free shades too under the trees. Both the beaches are nice one is a bit wavy than the other. Underwater photography recommended. Enjoy.
Ramesh Gupta — Google review
When walking down to the beaches the views are spectacular and breath-taking! The photo opportunities are great. The village you walk through is also beautiful. Just be aware that it is a long, rocky hike down to them! As we went in peak season the small beaches were also very busy. Would be much better (and less hot) to go out of peak season. Make sure you take food and drink with you! We enjoyed our half day visit anyway.
Paul Stokes — Google review
The beaches are simply stunning and it has some of the clearer water I've seen so far. To get there you can either hike down from Afionas town (steep hike through a rocky and uneven trail) about 20-30 minutes. Or you can get a water taxi from Agios beach for 15€ round trip. Note that this is a very busy location with lots of people on the beach and on the trail so if that's something you're not comfortable with then better visit in the off season. If you don't mind it, then you'll have a great time and enjoy a truly magical place.

Paralia Mpataria is a charming cove with a petite shingle beach, crystal clear water and the option to rent sunbeds. It is an exceptional spot for snorkeling, where visitors can explore the beautiful rocks and stunning underwater scenery. The beach boasts breathtaking views of the Albanian mountains, making it a must-visit destination for any traveler.
Fantastic little beach with a view of the Albanian mountains. Worth a visit in any case.

A beautiful small pebble beach with crystal clear turquoise blue water. The beach is located between two hills with a beautiful view. The only disadvantage is that the beach is quite small, and the managers try to place as many sunbeds as possible, which are not in the best condition, and they charge it pretty high.

Amazing beach.. our favorite in kassiopi for its crystal clear aqua water, quite sheltered position and views to saranda Albania opposite looking so close! Saranda is also worth a holiday along with beautiful ksamil! An easy walk up hill from the harbour then down a slope. Cafe kastro at the top has toilets and bar etc. Very safe though current is very mild although the water shelves off deeply within a few metres. Today the water was absolutely calm maybe the wind was from the south. We really enjoyed snorkeling here could see lots of silver fish ..20 or more at a time. We enjoyed feeding the fish bits of bread and popcorn and watching them jump for it not leaving any mess behind of course. And no hooks on our bread to kill the lovely creatures. No other sealing and sea floor is very clean. We saw a small octopus. I guess most of it is caught in nets and by hooks... Beds available about 3 euros each. Sun goes down behind the hill but gives bratislava light over the hills of Albania in distance. Small but perfect

Great beach for people who would like to do some snorkeling, the area is beautiful, and definitely a way nicer beach than something like Barbati for example. Definitely would suggest to go before 10 am and always bring water shoes.

A very beautiful beach with crystal clear water. The water is quite deep. There is a small parking lot right next to the beach, but it is quite full after 11 o'clock. There are sunbeds (10€ 2 sunbeds + umbrella), but it's good to come before 9:30 because from 10 it starts to get crowded. After 12 o'clock it is quite difficult to find free sunbeds.

The wife and I had a fabulous time here yesterday. Amazing beach. Absolutely stunning views. Rocks make a-bit of a nice change from the sand beaches this week. There’s even a little shed to get changed in. Plus make sure you explore the seemingly small gardens by the car park, lots to find…!

Very nice waters. Plenty of fish to see if you bring some goggles. The beach is very rocky, a good pair of water shoes is well worth it. The beach can get very busy during the day and it is not large, so anticipate crowds if you are planning to be there around midday. If you arrive before 9 am you should be able to get a sun bed.

Beautiful blue clear waters with a white pebble beach. Great snorkelling! There is a bar/restaurant nearby for lunch, cheap sun beds and umbrellas - really the perfect spot to spend the day. Arrive early for a free car park

Great hosts. Got a shot of ouzo for lunch and another serving (0.5l) of house wine for dinner. Their hospitality was a wonderful surprise 🙂 A nice garden in the back, perfect for dinners

Great value! Like in all Zante the portions are so big. In our case the were a little slow serving but we’re on vacation don’t mind.

A wonderful family owned restaurant, serving excellent food with great service. The grilled seafood platter was very tasty.

This place had a cute atmosphere and lovely service. It’s clearly family run and they are appreciative and very welcoming to customers who come in. The souvlaki plates and gyros are plenty of food for two. We also shared a greek salad. We saw the mixed gyros plate for two at another table and it was extremely huge. (Could feed a family of 4!!) the bill came to €40 with tip so very standard tourist price. A good place for a quick dinner on the go while passing through Tsilivi.

We went for the Greek night on a Monday. The musicians and dancers were brilliant. Food was amazing and the service was exceptional. Our favourite restaurant from the holiday.

The chicken gyros was absolutely amazing and the fries and salad were very good too. Nicest tzatziki and pita we had in five days as well. We will be coming back!!!

We only wish we found this restaurant sooner so we could’ve eaten every day for our weeks holiday!! Delicious food, great atmosphere. Really make you feel part of the family and go out of their way to please. Cannot fault the friendly service and the amazing food! The last 3 days of our holiday were made by coming here. The waiting staff, Peggy, you are just great! Keep doing what you do! Peggy made me a cocktail “sample” sure enough I ended up buying and we had another great night! Ask also about speedboat hire here, we took a days hire… again cannot fault it! Al Mar Speedboats (review left separately on there too) Absolutely 5* service throughout. Sebastian was a godsend for the end of our holiday, professionalism and service cannot be faulted!! We will definately be back here 💕

The owners of the restaurant are very kid friendly with great service. They have a private parking. They have a nice playground. The kitchen is visible and it looked clean. The food is traditional and they have many vegetarian options. I took the Vegetarian Gyros. They really cared about my family to such sort the owner chased the bees out of our table so that my baby could eat. He stood there to chase the bees. That's what I call an outstanding service for families.

Absolutely STUNNING food !!! Staff so friendly and just such a gorgeous atmosphere !!! Definitely recommend this beautiful restaurant !!!
Jo Edwards — Google review
The food was outstanding and the service even better. As a vegetarian this place had plenty of choice unlike a lot of the restaurants in the area. My partner was spoilt for choice and opted for the steak with garlic prawns and I had the vegetarian meze ..Peggy and the other members of the team could not do enough for you and were all very welcoming ..would most definitely recommend 🥰

Can't recommend this place enough so good we came twice on this holiday to celebrate 2 birthdays. Food was quality and the staff and entertainment was brilliant. The kids loved the Greek dancing and plate smashing. Look forward to returning in 2 years time. Lawrence will sort you out with everything you need. Thanks for the memories again.

Well this is a complete dining experience from start to finish. You'll probably be charmed in by a very charming gentleman speaking very good English who will treat you like a movie star. The waiters are very attentive, they also speak very good English and are very charming. Make no mistake, these guys are professionals and are really good at taking care of you, the service is quite exceptional. This restaurant gets busy, the reason is the food is very good and the whole experience feels like you're in a show. Everything is very entertaining... Plenty of plate smashing, dancing and fire. I have no doubt you will enjoy yourself.

Fantastic restaurant with amazing customer service, Lorenzo (the manager) has real passion and pride in ensuring everyone is having an enjoyable time. All of the staff were fantastic with the kids and so funny, we’ve never laughed so much in a restaurant. The food was fresh, cooked perfectly and seriously tasty. Considering the size of our party the prices were also more than reasonable. Thank you to you all for such an amazing evening. Martino, Kasia, kids, family and not forgetting Shakira and Big Mama the crazy plate smasher 🤣!

This place... wow. just wow. The personnel. the food. the serving! I felt like home. So i went there as they had a placcard to the front advertising fresh fish. The personnel greeted us (in Romanian) and seated us. From the house we received a fresh baked piece of bread to be served with both parsley butter and a mix of legume sauce. The bread warm, flavorful, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It melt in my mouth. First were the drinks and i ordered a white russian. A cocktail I have not met in other places yet a good one takes me back to my teenagehood. In came a soft, creamy, topped with cinnamon drink which was so refreshing on the hot weather, I drank half of it in under a minute. Alas I ordered a swordfish. I wasn't sure if the dish had anything on the side but it didn't matter, i was there for something fresh, something found in abundance in Greece. And in came the food. Now in traditional Romanian way it is said that one has to eat everything on the plate otherwise the cook might get offended. What might he understand? That he is unable to bring passion to his work? NO. In came a plate with 2 large pieces of grilled swordfish sided with salad, rice and sauce. A delight to the senses. The meat, tender, juicy, FLAVORFULL. My mother used to say one thing about me: when I enjoy the food, I eat, not time to talk. So, of course, the waiter comes in asking if the food is alright. At that stage i was digging into the fish and barely noticed him. I could only give him 2 thumbs up with a mouthfull of fish. Yes, I enjoyed what I served, I would serve once more, BUT on an empty stomac. 2 pieces of fish form quite a large plate so be sure to be hungry! As I guarantee you the dish will overwelm you! At the end, I (we) requested the check, and the server offered me, my wife and our friends and complementary drink. I went for the greek ouzo. Tasty and minty, somehow it went well after that consistent dish and I must say I am not used to serving alcohol after eating. All in all it was a pleasant experience with its fair share of unexpected. The chefs deserve their title and the waiter(s) all respect. I as a Romanian, found an unexpected interlocutor. Me with the little Greek I knew, them with the little Romanian they knew, got along perfectly fine. Of course English was the base language, but that didn't stop us from wanting to learn a bit more words from one-anothers culture. Those waiters deserve a raise for the effort they put into welcoming people and making them feel as home!

We received wrong order for 2 out of 3 ordered dishes. Very crowded, seems like an tourist trap. The athmoshere was ok, from time to time they are doung some smashing plătea show, they have some plyground for kids. The garlic pita was some sliced bread with no garlic taste

Wow, best meal I had. And the waiter was so good with the children! There is a little play area too to keep them entertained. I had the beef stifado and it was one of the nicest meals I have ever ate!

After a wonderful 10 days in Kalamaki there is no where we would prefer to eat other than the Pandesia, everything is perfect from the staff to the food. Aris and his team will look after you from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. The food is absolutely incredible and at a brilliant price. The Greek night and nightly entertainment they put on every night is wonderful, with something always going on! If your looking for somewhere to eat in Kalamaki with a friendly authentic Greek atmosphere look no further than the Pandesia! Opa ❤️

This charming and rustic rural cafe on a hillside terrace overlooking the village of Louha serves delicious food, including sandwiches and salads. The staff are friendly and prices are normal, making it a great option for locals or tourists looking for good quality food in an informal setting.
I spent a LIFETIME moment at Parthenon ❤️ Our last night in the island and the dinner we enjoyed the most ! We went for my husband’s birthday, and the staff prepared an amazing surprise for him 😍 I will never thank you enough for your kindness, your hardwork and the most important thing : HOW DELICIOUS THE FOOD WAS 😍 By far, the best dinner I had at Zakynthos island ! A really popular restaurant that can get busy during peak times. The food is very good indeed. Staff are friendly, one in particular is very jolly and is something of a comedian. The manage is stern and grumpy and doesn't appear to treat staff very well... He is clearly very focused on getting customers in, something I'm not fond of being conscious of whilst I'm enjoying a meal.

Just perfect! Delicious food, tasty drinks, all in one. But for good feeling is important how you are treated as guest. And in Parthenon restaurant I felt like a princess. Friendly staff, polite behavior and really good service during picking my food and drink. And I can tell if you like to eat somewhere, where you want to feel good, go there. And enjoy :)

The restaurant Ammos Taverna is a seafood, Mediterranean, Greek grill restaurant located in Zakynthos Town. It accepts American Express and Mastercard as forms of payment. It has outdoor seating for those who want to enjoy the warm sun and a breeze. The restaurant also provides highchairs for children and free wifi. Additionally, it has reservations available should you want to eat there on a night that is not convenient for you.
This was one of the best experiences I have had in Greece so far after more than 4 months of staying here. The food was truly the best and tastiest food I have had after traveling to many places in Greece and eating in many restaurants all over Athens, the Greek mainland, and the islands. It was unbelievable. The meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked, the salad was fresh, and the tzatziki was the best recipe I have tasted. They also gave us an incredible dessert and treated us like family. Anyone who is considering coming here should definitely come again! I will be back for sure!
Robert Thompson — Google review
We visited the Taverna Ammos twice in October 2023 and both times it was great! We had: bread with olive oil, feta cheese and olives; tzatziki; small fish (white bait) with potatoes; mussels; moussakas and feta with honey and sesame. Everything tasted really delicious, the ambience was cosy and that what you expect from a greek taverna. At the end of our meal we got a small free dessert and some greek mead. The friendliness of the employees made us feel really welcome and it was a pleasure to spend our time there!

A great restaurant if you’re looking for traditional homemade green food! The portions were huge, and came with complimentary appetisers of bread, olives and feta. We had the fisherman’s pasta and sofrito which were both delicious, but nothing tops the complimentary dessert made with biscuit layers and a honey topping. The staff were all incredibly friendly and gave incredible service and enjoyed a flight of Greek wines and liquors with us. They even sent us home with an extra portion of dessert because we enjoyed it so much. Would definitely go back and highly recommend!

Cozy port city restaurant run by a bunch of friendly men with a good sense of humour. We ordered stuffed wine leaves, white house wine and mixed seafood & fish grill for 2. The grill was better than some others I had on the island. We also got free honey wine and a small dessert. The food was good and prices are aligned with Zakynthos city average. One more waiter working at the restaurant would ensure things run a bit smoother and waiting times are shorter. The white house wine was very good.

Amazing traditional greek food and such a friendly staff. They gave is desserts, appetizers and alcohol on the house and the entire dinner experience was unforgettable. Definitely recommend it if you are in Zante.

Amazing food with an amazing staff, everyone working there was super nice and friendly, just for this I highly recommend to go there! Additional point they offered deserts and alcohol, as many restaurants in Greece but particularly there. Won’t explain too much, you have to try!

M-eating is a restaurant that has been discovered by many visitors looking for a place to dine. The staff is known for their friendly and attentive service, making guests feel welcome. The food offered at M-eating is described as amazing, with options like butcher's pork cut, chicken risotto, beef stifado, and Garlic King prawns receiving high praise.
We discovered this restaurant while looking for dinner. We had been turned away from a place we had eaten before saying they had no space. It turns out that was the best thing ever to happen. The staff greeting was so friendly. Very attentive. The food is just amazing. My wife loved her meal and cocktail. My butcher's pork cut was fantastic. Best meal of the holiday so far by miles.

This place looks beautiful from outside and after a few nights of walking past it we finally decided to eat here. The ambiance was indeed nice but we found the food quite disappointing. The Souvlaki presentation was pretty cool but I found the taste quite bland. We also ordered a pasta that wasn't tasty at all. The portions were decent. Overall, we left feeling disappointed with the taste of the food.

Absolutely brilliant restaurant, just a shame we found it on our last night as think we would have eaten here every night. The staff are so friendly & welcoming, the food is a class above all other restaurants we went to but with reasonable prices, highly recommended. I had the chicken risotto which was amazingly tasty and my husband had beef stifado which he loved just as much.
